Disappointment with the speech today of john kerry. A speech that was almost as unbalanced as the antiisrael resolution passed at the un last week. And a speech ostensibly about peace between israelis and palestinians, john kerry paid lip service to the unremitting campaign of terrorism that has been waged by the palestinians against the jewish state for nearly a century. What he did was spend most of his speech blaming israel for the lack of things, by condemning a policy of enabling jews to live in their historic homeland and eternal capital. Hundreds of suicide bombers, thousands, tens of thousands of rockets, millions of israelis in bomb shelters, the realities of the people of israel had to endure because of mistaken policies. Policies that at the time won the thunderous applause of the world. I dont seek applause. I seek the security and peace and prosperity and the future of the jewish state, the jewish people have thought or place under the sun for 3000 years, we are not about to be swayed by mistaken policies that have caused great great damage. Israelis do not need to be lectured about the importance of peace by foreign leaders. Is reals hand has been extended in peace to its neighbors from day one, from its very first day. We have worked for it every day. Thousands of israeli families have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our country and advance peace. My family has been one of them. There are many many others as no one wantss peace more than the people of israel. Israel remains committed to resolving the outstanding differences between us and the palestinians, through direct negotiations. This is how we make peace with egypt, this is how we make peace with jordan. It is the only way to make peace with the palestinians. That has always been israels policy. That has always been americas policy. Here is what president obama himself said at the un in 2011. He said peace is hard work. Piece will not come through statements as resolutions at the United Nations. If it were that easy, it would have been accomplished by now. That is what president obama said, and he was right. Until last week, this was repeated over and over again as american policy. The us cannot vote against its own policy but that is exactly what it did at the un and that is why israel opposed the Security Council resolution because it effectively called the western wall occupied palestinian territory because it encourages boycotts and sanctions against israel. That is what it effectively does. Because it inflicts a radical shift in us policy towards the palestinians. Those issues we always agreed with, the us and israel have to be negotiated facetoface without preconditions. Despite palestinians walking away from peace and from peace time and time again, despite their refusal to negotiate peace for the past eight years, despite the Palestinian Authority inculcating a culture of hatred towards israel, an entire generation of Young Palestinians. Israel looks forward to working with president elect trump and the american congress, democrats and republicans alike. To mitigate the damage that this resolution has done, ultimately to repeal it. Israel hopes the Outgoing Obama Administration will prevent any more damage being done to israel at the un in its waning days. I wish i could be comforted by the promise that the us says it will not bring any more resolutions to the un. That is what they said about this previously. Absolutely incontestable evidence the United States organized, advanced and brought this resolution to the United NationsSecurity Council. We will share that information with the incoming administration. Some of it is sensitive. It is all true. You saw some of it in the protocol released in an egyptian paper, there is plenty more at the tip of the iceberg. They say we didnt bring it and could take john kerrys speech at this point. Could be raised in the French International conference a few days from now and brought up at the un so france or sweden, not a noted friend of israel. And the United States said we cant vote against our own policy, just enunciated it. I think the United States if it is true to form or at least if it is not true to its word should not come out and say we will not allow any resolution, any more resolutions in the Security Council on israel period. Not we will bring, we will not allow and stop this game. I think the decisions that are vital to his relapse interests in the future of its children, they wont be made through speeches in washington or vote in the United Nations or conferences in paris. They will be made by the government of israel around the negotiating table making them on behalf of the one and only jewish state. A sovereign nation that is the master of its own fate and one final thought, i personally know the pain, the loss and suffering of war, that is why i am so committed to peace, because for anyone who has experienced it as i have, war and terror are horrible. I want Young Palestinian children to be educated like our children for peace, but they are not educated for peace. Palestinian authority educates them to lionize terrorists and murder israelis. My vision is israelis and palestinians both have a future of mutual recognition, mutual respect, coexistence. But the Palestinian Authority tells them they will never accept, should never accept the existence of the jewish state so i ask you, how can you make peace with someone who rejects your very existence . This conflict is not about houses or communities in the west bank or samaria. The gaza district or anywhere else. This conflict is, and his always been, about israels very right to exist. That is why my hundreds of calls to sit with president abbas for peace talks have gone unanswered, why my invitations to come to the knesset were never answered, why the Palestinian Government continues to pay anyone who murders israelis a monthly salary. The persistent palestinian refusal to recognize the jewish state remains the core of the conflict. And its removal is the key to peace. Palestinian rejection of israel and support for terror are what the nations of the world should focus on if they truly want to advance peace. The Obama Administration in its last month in office is trying to jam through its preferred outcome for the israel palestinian relationship. They are violating 50 years or more of bipartisan American Foreign policy which has rested on two basic principles. Number one, only the parties themselves can bring a lasting peace, others, outsiders can impose it and the way to get it is land for peace, israel gives up land it won in the two wars in 67, 73 but this resolution, what john kerrys speech said, not their land to give back, it is a legitimate. What the resolution does despite what john kerry said earlier is defined israels boundaries to be the socalled 67 lines which are ceasefire lines from 1949. Now that is tempered by the federal Civil Rights Act which prohibits a place that invites the public onto its property, we call that a public accommodation, a book store, restaurant, hotel, a supermarket, from discriminating on the basis of race, gender or age. The states have expanded those protections to include things like sexual orientation, religion and place of birth. Hawaii has whats called a public accommodations law that includes all those things, this restaurant couldnt say you cant eat here because of race or gender, you cant eat here because of religion, but theres no prohibition on excluding customers because of their political beliefs.
