This crowd has been standing in the hot florida sun for several hours. Theyre still coming in here, and they want to hear mr. Trumps message about restoring the economy, talking about the failures of obamacare. These are diehard mr. Trump supporters. Trish what are they telling you the most important thing to them . I mean, weve heard, certainly, in the polls that the economy matters, National Security matters, but theres a kind of fanaticism there, if you would, for thousands of people that are pouring into this arena to hear him. What do they tell you matters the most . [applause] reporter you know, it depends who you ask. I was talking to a woman earlier, elizabeth vaughn, whos furious with obamacare. Her husband has cancer, and hes lost his insurance twice here in florida because of obamacare. And she was telling me the poor man is going through cream therapy and has to find chemotherapy and has to find penny, come here a second. Trish regan wants to know whats the most important issue for you, very quickly . Well, power, let em go after the bad people. Everybody says that hes so bad and everything, but let him use all that that energy and all that forwardness and aggressiveness and get our enemy. My best thing for him is to take care of our insurance, take care of that wall reporter you want the wall built, and you want security for the United States. I dont want bringing in all those people after our children, our daughters and reporter penny, thank u. Thank you. Youll see people here who are strong on the issues of immigration and want the wall built. It depends who you ask. Youve got people who believe only mr. Trump can actually restore the economy to what it should be, trish. Trish i guess something for everyone. Theres a commonality there, adam, in security and whether its security on the border, security internationally or whether its economic security. This all, i think, is tapping into one central theme. Trump definitely talks about that, whether its the threat posed by islamic terrorists with isis or whether its disrespect for law enforcement. Those are the issues that he talks about and he will talk about. Again, i just want to show you, thats the podium. Hell be there, and i apologize, because theyre praying, and i dont mean to be disrespectful, but hes going to be coming off the airplane from that, you know, right there. Steve, i think one of the most Amazing Things here is despite all the heat from the left, despite all the negative headlines out of the Mainstream Media, what were seeing is that trump is still fighting. And, you know, you saw that poll out of arizona where hes now ahead by a point, you see the National Poll where hes just five points behind, so hes closing the gap. What does that tell you, steve, given the media environment were in . What does it tell you about where we are as a country and how frustrated and concerned people are . Well, i think it tells you a couple things. First of all by the way, the media has obviously had an avalanche of terrible stories about donald trump, but he hasnt performed well. I think what it tells you even after these lousy three weeks that hes still within four or five points of hillary is that she hasnt been able to make the sale to the American People that she should be president. Trish does it tell you more . I loit and say, you know, things are pretty people are saying, i dont care if he assaulted women, i dont care because the only thing that matters to me is my economic future. I totally degree with that. Trish my security, their security. And what kind of state are we in as a nation where it has been eroded to this point . I agree. Trish what kind of irresponsibility has happened over the last eight years with our economy and security that people, theyll forgive anything because they want change. Well, you know, whats really frustrated me the most about the last three weeks is weve talked about everything but those issues, right, trish . We havent talked about the economy and taxes and what were going to do with energy policy, National Security because weve had all of these side shows out there. And thats disappointing because, youre right, all those people in florida, aye been traveling around with mr. Trump, they want to hear about what youre going to do to get jobs back in this country. Trish thats the stuff that matters. Neil, youre shaking your head there as though youre in disgust, but this is the reality. No matter where i go in the country, i hear a common theme, and its that people are worried with about the future, and they do not believe that she can solve it. I mean, here he is hanging on by a thread despite all the faux pass, and its because of this basic concern, neil. Listen, trish, you were just talking about how donald trump is up by a single point in arizona. Four years ago mitt romney won that state by nine points. Nationally, hes at Hillary Clinton is beating him by five Percentage Points. The if she continues to hold that lead, it would be a historic lead trish no, no, no, what im saying is hes had a rough three weeks. Weve got to get every vote out. Trish hes getting attacked left and right in the media nonstop, and you know what . I talk to people who say, or i dont care. I dont care what he did because, you know what . I believe in his policies. This is a mess of his own making. Trish youve got a lot of people, neil, that feel very strongly about that. So what does that tell you about the current state of our economy . Heck, you used to support Bernie Sanders. [laughter] listen, i think what it says is that, you know, millions of people think were on the right track, and thats why Hillary Clinton is leading this race by five points. Wow. Thats where we are. Listen, either that or donald trump is wholly unable to be an effective leader. The fact that hes losing this race by the Percentage Points hes losing right now suggests millions of people just dont think hes fit to be president trish youve got millions of people that do though. I want to get to this other story because weve got bombshell revelations, a fresh batch of emails from wikileaks which appear to show president obama knew Hillary Clinton was using her private email server. In stark contrast to what he said during a 60 minutes interview last year. Listen to him here. Did you know about Hillary Clintons use of a private email server no. While she was secretary of state . No. Trish in fact, he went on to say the only way he found out about it was through the news reports like everyone else. Blake burman has been combing through the 18th batch of emails released and, blake, what did you find . Reporter these new emails show the initial concern of Hillary Clintons state Department Email setup in the immediate hours and in the immediate days of that story coming to light. Let me start here with march 27, 2015, im talking about the concern for what would eventually be her campaign taffe. March 7, 20 15, that is five days after the initial New York Times report detailing the arrangement. President obama was asked this by cbs bill plant. Listen. When did you first learn that Hillary Clinton used an email system outside the u. S. Government for official business while she was secretary of state . The same time everybody else learned it through news reports. Reporter now, that very response right there appeared to make some in the Clinton Campaign uneasy. Campaign speech writer then emailed Communications Director jen palmieri and other aides the following, quote jen, you probably have more on this, but looks like the president just said he found out hrc was using her personal email when he saw it in the news. That email was then forwarded to other top aides including cheryl mills who responded by writing this, quote we need to clean this up. He has emails from her, they do not say state. Gov. Now, as this story was unfolding, other top democrats, trish, had different concerns. On the night of that initial New York Times story, democratic operative neera tanden who would become the campaign chairman, john podesta apparently in disbelief. Quote why did they get this stuff out, like, 18 months ago . So crazy. Podesta responded with one word, unbelievable. Tanden followed up by saying i guess i know the answer, they wanted to get away with it. Just one persons opinion there. The following week, trish trish what do you think is, i guess, important to note, sometimes when youre getting an email in, you just see who its coming from, right . You dont necessarily see the address. Reporter right. And that goes back to the obama email trish and thats ooh what theyre going to say. Reporter right. Trish you can imagine theyre already working on that excuse. Reporter right. What you see, do you see where it comes from or just the name, maybe with the president something entirely different trish yeah. If they were smart, as this entire story unfolded and i do believe they are smart, they would have gone through his email to see what she was actually sending and, therefore, he would have known that it was not coming from state. Cheryl mills saying we need to clean this up, it meals as though this is very much it feels as though this is very much a part of this entire problem. I mean, you got an Administration Working in cahoots with Hillary Clintons folks to run around and sweep up all these little messes. Boy, have there been a lot of messes, and every time you think things cant9 get worse, they do. Whats so interesting with this email scandal is you go back to what Hillary Clinton and other people at the state Department Said about this, and now all the facts that are coming out. And were discovering that almost everything that was said about the emails has been proven false. And that gets to this, i think, a narrative that trump has to make that you really cant trust what hillary says, because were finding more and more that they are either fabrications or outright lies. Trish neil, why im just trying to understand why the president would say no, you know, i didnt know anything it when, in fact, he had emails from state. Gov . Judge napolitano was on our Network Earlier saying he had some questions about maybe incentives for the administers to make sure that she didnt actually get indicted because the first witness she would have could would have been the president of the United States and say, look, he knew. I was sending him emails not from my state. Gov account. I think anyone watching this show knows you dont always check which email comes to you. When president obama was back on 60 minutes last year, a day later josh earnest said exactly what i just said which is he knew he was exchanging emails with secretary clinton. Hes not sure if he knew what email address or what security protocol trish well, thats kind of scary. No, i mean trish hes assuming that everything is secure, that its coming from secretary of state Hillary Clinton, hes the president of the United States, you can go back and forth on a secure platform, but he was assuming a lot. He didnt bother to check and see where she was sending these darn emails from, steve moore well, trish trish that in and of itself seems inherently to be a problem, yet again a reason why she shouldnt have been using her own server yeah, and youre not going to [laughter] whether she was imperilling our National Security and putting our security people at risk by exposing these emails. And i think thats what disturbs me listen trish i mean, putting the president at risk as well. Go ahead, neil. You know, listen, i think a lot of people could agree that she made a wrong choice. Secretary clinton said she wouldnt do what she did with her email server. We can all agree on that. Right. The question for me is did president obama know what security protocols or trish it doesnt even matter though. If you think about it, neil, she put him at risk by not using her official email. He didnt know where it was coming from, he just thinks its Hillary Clinton. It could have been compromised, and that is the president of the United States. Thank you, neil and steve. Dont forget, that reporter was widely panned for what pretty much everyone agreed was an insulting and biased question questions, i should say at the republican debate. Meanwhile, donald trump, true to form, is summing up the Mainstream Media like this these thieves and crooks, the media not all of it, not all of it, but much of it theyre the most crooked, theyre almost as crooked as hillary. What has Mainstream Media lost in terms of its integrity and its objectivity . A whole lot of credibility. I mean, look, donald trump does create some of his own problems with his language, and i dont believe that the polls are rigged which is part of his latest retrain, but you refrain, but you look at the coverage, 10 to 1 more stories about donald trump than Hillary Clinton, mostly negative. And now theres a new wrinkle, trish, which is were basically declaring the race to be over, and you see a lot of pieces about whos hillarys agriculture secretary going to be, that one was in politico, and she win a landslide trish they want it to be over, right . Theyll feel better if its over and she wins. Hey, we can all go to sleep tonight and wake up two weeks from now, and theyd be very happy if she won. So is this sort of a selffulfilling prophesy by the media . Well, it can have an effect, because if you turn on the television or read online or in the newspapers every day that the race is essentially over, i mean, that kind of demoralizes some of the republicans who might turn out for donald trump. I dont have any problem with professional handicappers looking at the map and saying most of the polls have Hillary Clinton ahead, hes got an uphill climb. Thats all fine. But i just detect a note of glee, almost like theyre highfiving each other, and theres another new wrinkle which is and once november 8th comes and he inevitably loses, many of these pundits would say, he should just ride off into the sunset, go to his golf courses trish and the reality is, you know, its not him. Dont blame the messenger. In this case, its the country, his supporters. The way they feel right now, the disenfranchisement that they have experienced and, by the way, it just adds to it when the media knocks them and piles on. Howie, let me give you some examples. Usa today wrote of his supporters calling them, many of them angry white men and referring to her supporters as frustrated minorities. I mean, angry white men. Its like theyre setting up this, this fight effectively, and theyre portraying, i think, his supporters in many ways unfairly. Its not just angry white men. [laughter] theres a diverse population there. Ive met many of them. We were just talking to some of them in florida with adam shapiro. Yeah. Trish why are they trying to typecast . Well, you know, there is this sort of elitist view, particularly among media types this new york and washington and, you know, santa monica that trump is a dangerous guy, hes toxic, and anybody who votes for him must be kind of dumb or racist or sexist or whatever. And heres the thing, the biggest media failure of this entire season and really in many years was missing not just that donald trump was a guy who was able to get the nomination and run a competitive race against an establishment figure like Hillary Clinton, but that millions of americans were some angry, some frustrated, some just teed off at a political system that seems to them to be broken. They didnt get that, and they didnt get many of them how trump appealed to them. Trump, win or lose, that doesnt change on november 9th. The countrys still very divided. Trish no. Trish i guess the question is how do you figure that out now, neil . Outside of the email chain, phone records . How strict is it . In other words, here he is saying Hillary Clinton wants a duck. How does he know that . I will agree with you. If there was coordination, it would be illegal. But this video comes from project veritas, a group run by a convicted criminal and serial liar, i dont know why you believe it, and he refuses to release the unedited video. We have no idea if the video is actually true. James okeefe has a record of creating faked videos. So honestly. You dont think its true, you dont think she would have coordinated the duck, that she specifically wanted the duck. Its kind of clever. You got donald duck . Theres a difference between somebody suggesting Hillary Clinton and she going yeah, thats a good idea, and coordination. Trish we dont know what it is, right . Steve, should there be more of an investigation into this . Do we need to know, steve moore, whether there was coordination here . Its against the law. As i look at the duck following around donald trump. Is that a big deal . No. Were seeing hundreds of millions of dollars spent and this is the special interest dark money that hillary says she wants to get rid of. Is this one incident or a huge offense . No, i think the bigger issue, is there a coordinated campaign by Hillary Clinton and her official campaign and these multitude of outside groups that are an avalanche of negative publicity against donald trump, and that would be illegal, and fundamentally violate the election laws. Hillary clinton raised a billion dollars of special interest money, running around the country, no more special interest money in politics. If you dont believe in special interest money, why are you raising a billion dollars . With the latest in washington, d. C. , we have our Senior Correspondent peter barnes. Affordable. Right. Thats right, trish, and that 25 increase is for the benchmark plan. The socalled silver plan, that is triple the 7 hike that we saw on that plan last year. The department of health and Human Services says insurers are raising premiums on 11 customers in 33 states to bring revenues in line with costs. More insurers are dropping out. More people who are sicker are signing up and the younger people to subsidize them are not. In arizona, premiums are more than doubling to 400 a month for the silver plan. The Second Lowest cost plan in obamacare. In oklahoma jumping 69 . Illinois, up 42. North carolina up 40 . The increases are Single Digits in six states. One state, indiana, down 3 to 229 bucks a month. The Administration Says premiums are lower than what they would have been without obamacare. It also says most obamacare marketplace customers wont have to pay much more out of their own pocket because their government subsidies, tax credits will increase to cover much of the extra cost, and how much is that . In march, the Congressional Budget Office said the subsidies would aid to 56 billion in 2017, paid by the government, by taxpayers and the announcement of 25 higher premiums, the subsidies will rise by billions more and this is mandatory Government Spending like Social Security will be tacked onto the budget deficit. The first one allegedly happening on a plane in 1980. And the last one allegedly happening during a Miss Universe pageant in 2013. Most of the accusations, kissing, groping, this kind of thing. One question asked is why is it none of the women filed a lawsuit against donald trump, and does he have the ability to sue them . Joining me with analysis, Betsy Mccaughey and wendy patrick. Good to have you here. Wendy, have you handled a lot of sex crime cas. Why is it that theseomen never filed any charges in your view . And do they have the ability to do so now . You know, trish, sex crimes are by nature one of the most significantly underreported crimes that exist for a variety of reasons. You heard some of them as allegations have come forward. They have the right to sue, if they can find civil ground to do so, remember, statute of limitation says run out on a lot of them. Donald trump can sue if he wants to. If he wins, hes going to spend the first 100 days in Office Taking 100 depositions and then some. This is complex. Trish he does have the ability to sue. You know. Betsy, one of the concerns is peoples a public figure, and, you know, they can say whatever they want about the public figures, and he doesnt have much in the way of recourse. You think about all these accusations that suddenly came out. I thought immediately of the duke lacrosse case or the uva case. Trish the duke lacrosse case was tragic, there were women that accused him of rape. Turns out it was fictitious. She made it up. Same with the university of virginia. The public, all of us are big losers in this sense, those other cases didnt tip a president ial election. Here it might very well. Take one example. According to one woman, some 40 years ago she was on a plane with donald trump and she says he groped her. The New York Times took the accusation, couldnt determine the year of the flight, much less the date. The departure city, no witnesses at all, and yet they rushed, and i mean rushed two, days theyre heard about the woman. They put it on the front page of the New York Times. Trish irresponsible journalism, though. Thats right. The New York Times has stated publicly now that they are determined to, quote, bring down donald trump and they have officially publicly abandoned their standards of journalism. Trish wendy, very quickly because im out of time. Does he have a case against the New York Times or against these women that are making these accusations . Hes a public figure, any allegations have proven to be malice. Hes not like a normal person. Suffered a devastating loss of reputation, one would argue is it over and above what came out of the access hollywood video.
