You could see, you could hear, you could taste the contempt that she was showing towards donald trump, the complete lack of respect that she was showing him by fighting with him, correcting him, arguing with him. Dont we remember the Candy Crowley moment of 2012 where everybody said she was out of line correcting mitt romney, and yet she just corrected him. In this case Martha Raddatz was arguing with him on national television. He was, he had every right to say this was a one on three debate last night. Trish you know, ive moderated two debates now here at fox business, and they, you know, they have certain rules and a certain amount of decorum that is expected both from the moderators and from those on stage there. And, granted, it was a more challenging format, perhaps, because she had all these people there on stage asking questions. But its one thing, for example, if you come on my show or if donald trump comes on the show and i get into it because its a conversation, its a different format. It feels quite different, however, because i keep expecting Hillary Clinton to go back at donald trump as opposed to Martha Raddatz. Sure. Sure. The administration has shown theyre willing to excuse be any behavior by iran in order to keep this deal in place, but how much is too much . Their proxies trish what if they had hit the ship . In my opinion, what this administration should do is immediately find out who sent these missiles and retaliate. And they should send a message to the iranians that you these to get your people under control. These are rebel groups that are responsible for the uprising in yemen. Theyve been antagonizing the saudis. And so this is an incredibly important story that i am shocked really no one but you is reporting, trish, that American Ships are being targeted by rebels backed by iran. Trish and, unfortunately, its one of the latest stories in the show, but thats in part because this election cycle is just sucking all the oxygen out of any other story that might actually finish. But the moderators could have brought this up last night. Youve moderated several debates. If American Ships were attacked, can you imagine not trish it is a very big question. Perhaps theyre taking their time, ill give them the benefit of the doubt, but i think what youre going to see between now and election day is youre going to see various entities iran, russia, china, north korea trying to get away with as much as they can. Trish Warren Buffett releasing his own tax data today in kind of a taunting move to donald trump because he says, hey, guess what . Donald trump, im under audit too, and im going to release my tax records, so you should do the exact same thing. You know, the issue came up during last nights debate when trump said this. Watch. But i will tell you that, number one, i pay tremendous numbers of taxes. I absolutely used it, and so did Warren Buffett and so did george soros, and so did many of other people that hillary is getting money from. Now, i wont mention their names because theyre rich, but theyre not famous, so we wont make them famous. Trish you know, so heres the thing. What hes talking about is carried interest, something that many investors use, the private Equity Community use and effectively, all they have to do is pay a Capital Gains tax rate as opposed to an income tax rate on some of the investments they make. Its very popular in the private equity i have, and its something that Warren Buffett has used as well. He says, hey, you know, my secretary pays more in the way of taxes than i do, but guess what . Thats because Warren Buffett chooses to categorize his income as investment. And so its a different structure. You know, one thing you dont hear any of these guys talk about is a wealth tax. I mean, really, if you think about it, right, income and wealth are two very, very different things. And you if you really wanted to go after the buffetts of the world, you might think about going after wealth as opposed to income. Ashley webster, it always perplexes me that buffett likes to go on ability how his secretary pays more i know. Trish he could certainly change that if he wanted to. He could at any time. Why dont you write a nice big, fat check be youre feeling so guilty. I always felt okay, dont get me started. Youre absolutely right, he could always change it if he wanted to. And the fact, look, there are many billionaires. He used exactly the same tactic as donald trump. In fact, anybody. Its not against the law. Of course you can do it. Trish right. Maybe the answer is we just need to change the laws yeah, okay. Trish simplify everything. You know, this gets me right back to the whole flat tax idea too where then at least you know everybodys paying something, everybody has to pay something, and it really and truly would be fair. Well, it would. Trish evens paying the same. Lets bring that tax code down from 100,000 pages to 3, something that steve forbes has been preaching about for 25 years now. [laughter] trish i know.
