His first foreign trip as the republican nominee. I think you see a very president ial donald trump meeting with the president of mexico, were happy the president of mexico invited him. Sorry secretary clinton is not going and not accepted the invitation. I feel she keeps following the leader, were the leader here. Trish joining me basil smikle and rachel, the spokeswoman for the liberal initiative. If you do a meeting like this, you make it substantive. Trish she was invited, she could have gone . She may yet go. Shes not into photoops like that. What i suspect donald trump is doing, as Kellyanne Conway said is appear to be president ial but the truth of the matter is what is going to be gleaned from the meeting . Hes going to wave his finger and say you got to pay for our wall. Hes going to say either the president said no, im digging my heels in deeper in the antiimmigrant, antimexican message hes perpetuated. Trish is it really antimexican . He called them murderers. He said you are sending over rapists and murderers. Trish this is the talking point message that Hillary Clinton, we were watching her speak today, and she kept hitting over and over again the inappropriateness of donald trump, and they characterized him as the big, bad, evil guy versus her being the sane, diligent student that will get things done, but i dont know, as we continue, rachel, to dig deeper into policy if that tactic is going to continue working for her . All shes got. And by the way. She was invited, she did not go, under the Obama Administration and under her leadership at the state department, latin america has been neglected with the exception of cuba which i think that move is debatable whether it was a good move or not, appeasing a bunch of communist dictators. That said, you can look at venezuela, brazil, argentina, latin america has fallen into more economic despair. Less free markets. Less democracy and more of these sort of dictatortype oh, well, well, well really . Yes, and let me just say, this is so smart on trumps part, because mexico is a far better partner in trade and as a neighbor to us than china, for example. We have more experts going to mexico than we do to china, brazil, india and russia combined. This should be our friend. He has an opportunity here to talk about the border, which is something he cares about, but this is on president nietos part, and far more than nafta and trade. Trish ah, rachel makes a very interesting point. Ive done a lot of reporting in latin america, brazil, paraguay, honduras, it has been ignored, less so with president bush, but certainly under this administration has focused on china, on india and you know, look at what were seeing there in venezuela, for example. Absolute, positive chaos. There is turmoil there, but i think whats being overlooked here is that the former president of brazil Dilma Rousseff was impeached today. It stymied efforts to do anything meaningful. Trish which is a shame theyre right here in the western hemisphere. Brazil could be china. With that said, i dont think the u. S. Neglected the countries, per se. What i also think is that what donald trump is doing and what Hillary Clinton doesnt do is give a lot of lip service to the foreign leaders. The fact that donald trump is going to go down there, what is he coming back to tell us . I dont know. And i dont think its anything quite meaningful because what is he going to do for the 11. 4 undocumented immigrants who are there . Build a wall, deport them all. Trish okay, this is important. So were going to hear him outline his policy speech tonight. What is she going to do for the 11. 4 million undocumented, Illegal Immigrants in this country . Shes talked about it, trying to find a pathway to legal status. Trish is that what shes doing . Legal status to citizenship. I said legal status. And the point is that if you bring these undocumented immigrants to a place where they are documented and legal and paying taxes, you have an opportunity to incredibly build this economy. All the money and housing, all the money in construction, theyre putting millions and billions into the economy. Trish im going to talk about this later in the show. Rachel, unfortunately it looks as though the Illegal Immigrants are costing the u. S. Economy 113 billion a year in the way of to be fair. To be fair, theyre bringing in a lot of labor we do need. I know for example, trish, i live in wisconsin, our cows wont get milked if we dont have the labor. What we need do is modernize our system so that were bringing in people, that it works for our economy and economic needs. So we should have a Guest Worker Program. We do. One of the reasons the democrats poisoned the water on the immigration issue is that theyre pushing for citizenship. I know people who have had conversations with the ambassador from mexico who will tell you what they really want is an ability, some want to become citizens but many more. Some want to meet the labor demand. Our system is set up for a Guest Worker Program that works for our economy. We have a fairly good Guest Worker Program, could it be better . Yes. Trish it could definitely be better. This is what donald trump has said all along, that we need to be bringing the people here that want to work and want to succeed and are good people and you need to keep them here. And the people here are working. Trish sure. Sure. But then there are a number that arent, but it is the path to legal status, thats what were saying. We need a path to legal status. Yes many are working here. Theyre felons, start with that, there needs to a border and compromise with that, and should be in the peoples house, not done by executive order which causes problems. Trish thank you so much, ill see you in a bit, and rachel ill see you tonight as we watch donald trump deliver that speech on immigration. Trumps surprise trip to mexico comes hours after we were saying he delivers this big, big, big immigration speech, there is speculation he may be softening his stance on deportations. Im joined by the center for Immigration Studies and immigration lawyer david leopold. Jessica, i think this is incredibly complicated. Incredibly nuanced, and its challenging for any political candidate to serve up the idea of the policy thats going to work for us, to rachels point earlier, it needs to worked out in the house and in the senate, not by executive order, but what do you think is the best proposal he could put forward . Well, certainly not a massive bill that everybody has to pass to find out whats in it, which was the approach of the gang of 8 bill. When he needs to do is focus on the urgent problem, which is the collapse of enforcement that occurred under the Obama Administration, and he needs to focus on shoring up border security, but also making sure that immigration laws are enforced in the intelligence community. Trish we have the laws on the books, nothing actually needs to change, but david, no one is bothering to enforce them, why not . Lets go with the facts, those are always helpful. The law is being enforced, and weve had more deportations under president obama than before. Thats why his own allies called him the deporter in chief. You know, i would point out, david, if you really want to talk facts, deportations are near a 10year low. The deportations well, what were actually seeing right now are enforcement priorities that focus on the worst people, that focus on dangerous felons, that focus on National Security risks, that focus on people that want to do this country harm. Trish how do they get in, in the first place . Why are we allowing them in, in the first place, so we have to deal with it . The lions share of the undocumented population, lets be clear, are lawabiding good folks, they are put in american families, u. S. Citizen spouse, husband, wife, not as simple as folks want to make it out to be. Youre talking about americans in most cases without papers, and the problem is the law does not permit them at this point to get papers, and thats what we got to change. Trish yeah, no, look, you might all be agreement on that and this may be what we hear from donald trump tonight. You heard his surrogates, for example, Rudy Giuliani telling fox and friends week need to go after the bad guys first. The feeling is, david and jessica, were not doing that. If we were, kate steinle would still be alive. Wait a minute. Jessica first, and back to you, david. The Obama Administration told the world it is only focusing on the worst of the worst as they put it. Thatleaves a lot of the worst still on the streets of American Communities in a position to harm people, and the fact is that you stand less than a 1 chance if you are here illegally of seeing enforcement directed at you. Its not true, jessica. But the point is that our law doesnt say if youre a nice person you get to stay. Jessica, lets stick with the facts, thats not true. Illegal immigration on americans, that should be a priority for americans. What kind of facts . Job opportunity, wage depression and taxpayer costs for the social services. Trish its challenging and were going to talk to a couple of economists coming up. But as rachel said, look, there are benefits to having some of these people here. She pointed out in wisconsin no one else would be milking the cow. In california, have you people picking strawberries. Let me get a word in, if i. Farms are not modernized and dependent on cheap labor, cheap labor is very expensive. Which is exactly why we need a which is exactly why we need congress to roll up its sleeves, get to work and pass comprehensive immigration reform. Youre going to hear donald trump talk about a lot of things, but hes not going to talk about doing whats right by the 11 million undocumented people in this country. Most of whom no, he wants to do right by americans and make that the priority, and also legal immigrants you know what . Doing right, doing right. Illegal immigration is not fair to them. Trish bottom line here, if its illegal, its illegal. Were going to leave it there. Thank you so much, jessica and david. Breaking now, the National Hurricane center the tropical depression soaking florida strengthened into a Tropical Storm. Tropical storm hermine is developing over the gulf of mexico and the Tropical Storm watch is in effect for georgia and florida. The storm is expected to make landfall tomorrow night or friday morning, up to 10 of rain and flooding are both possible. Were going to continue to update you on this storms path throughout the week, but its a biggie, so watch it. Hillary clintons unfavorability rating hitting a new high in a poll out today. Trish more bad news for Hillary Clinton as her postconvention poll numbers take a nosedive, and her popularity just hit a new record low. Take a look at this. A new abc newswashington post poll shows 59 of registered voters have an unfavorable view of the democratic nominee, puttingner a dead heat with donald trump. A tough break for clinton as she campaigns in the battleground state of ohio today. Our very own blake burman is standing by with more. Blake, its getting more challenging for her . Reporter it is, as you showed, trish, both Hillary Clinton and donald trump remain immensely unpopular with the american public, according to the latest abcwashington post poll. However for clinton, the 59 unfavorability rating among registered voters, that is the lowest she has ever been in that poll. It is a sixpoint dip from the Convention Last month, and puts her favorability rating 21 points underwater. Trump isnt any better. 60 of registered voters have a negative view of him. Earlier this afternoon, clinton spoke in ohio before the American LegionNational Convention and tried to portray trump as a divisive figure not worth east presidency. Listen here. Last thing we need is a president who brings more name calling and temper tantrums to washington. We got to get people listening to each other again. [applause] getting both parties to Work Together. Reporter now beside that 59 unfavorability rating, clinton added she tried to make the case this afternoon she could represent not only democrats should she win the white house, but also independents and republicans, trish . Trish all right, thank you so much, blake burman, good to see you. Republicans traditionally have been the party of free markets and free trade and that has always included welcoming immigrants. The lategreat free market economist Milton Friedman in favor of open borders. Sounds so great, people move where the jobs are and everyone benefits, right . Except importantly Milton Freeman always noted this. One little problem with the whole thing. He said it is one thing to have free immigration to jobs, it is another thing to have free immigration to welfare. You cannot have both. Two of the nations top economic thinkers tell us why Milton Friedman was right . Thats next. This is judy. Judy is 65 years old. Her mortgage payment is 728 a month. His monthly mortgage payment was 728 a month. Now mike thought he would have to work for another 12 years until his mortgage was paid off. And then mike heard that a reverse mortgage may help him. Trish all right, big night tonight, Donald Trumps going to be delivering a major speech on illegal immigration. Ill be there with you tonight as we watch, and ill be covering the speech live, and were going to have analysis for you, incredible analysis is planned. So please tune in beginning at 8 00 p. M. Tonight. You know, this is a huge issue. Something that he effectively has made the cornerstone of his campaign right from the very beginning. There are currently more than 11 million Illegal Immigrants in america, and one Study Suggests they may be costing taxpayers 113 billion a year due to various Welfare Benefits they receive. Famed economist Milton Friedman once said, we like to quote him on the show the economics behind immigration is very complex, to help us break it all down, rene Magazine Editor in charge, matt welsh and steve cortes. Steve, starting with you, Milton Friedman, was he right . You might as well call him st. Milton, hes right about almost everything he ever said, and learned most of my economics from him as my tutor effectively, my online tutor. And listen, in this case, hes particularly right, as a free market guy, hispanic, i love immigration, im the son of an immigrant, i wouldnt be here if it werent for welcoming of american immigrants around the world. Its a smart policy. When you look at Amazing Enterprises started by immigrants or the children of immigrants. Google, tesla, apple, having said all of that, we as a people, we get to determine how much immigration is appropriate for us. And i think this is an important point. Sadly, we have creeped ever more toward a welfare state where there are almost as many people receiving government benefits as there are working. In that scenario, we have to be particularly careful about slowing immigration. Trish thats a challenge. Matt, 113 billion figure you referenced, if you look into, that what you see now is that nearly half of forgive me, 62 of illegal immigrantheaded households have at least one major welfare program. So thats more than half. Theres a few of them right there. You got school lunch, medicaid, housing, wic, snap, yes, on the one hand as steve point out there is something centers and important for Economic Growth that goes hand in hand with immigration, but you got to make sure that theimmigrants dont become a liability for the country in the way of Welfare Benefits. That study was conduct by the federation for American Immigration reform which is a restrictionist group and the study under repeated attacks on methodological grounds. Trish this shows you also a restrictionist group. Trish head of illegal households, we have studies from heritage, youre going to go after them, too. No. Trish lets talk about the theory of this, the principle. If, in fact, can you argue its good to bring in people to this country, and i support that as well. Dont you also have to ensure that those people are not going to become a liability on society but rather are going to help grow this overall economy by not be a drain for various welfare programs. It was baked into the welfare reform package in 1996 passed due to the Milton Friedman quote back in the day. They said if you were a legal immigrant do you not have access to Welfare Benefits. The only thing you have access to, and its a real thing on, a localized level, if you have to go emergency rooms, you will be admitted and your kids if born here and of school age, theyll be admitted into public school. Other than that, you are not eligible for federal welfare transfers until you get on a point where you can apply to citizenship, five years down the future. That single move had an incredible impact on the jobs ratio and the antipoverty ratio of immigrants who came to this country. Once they had were eligible of the welfare reform. Trish what would you be telling donald trump if you were advising him on his policy . What does he need to do in order to continue this Economic Growth, frankly we havent had any in the last eight to ten years, in order for us to be as strong as we possibly can be economically speaking . I dont think donald trump will listen to me too much on things. He treats immigration like a zerosum game. Thats incorrect. I prefer the Ronald Reagan george h. W. Bush. Trish i dont know that were going to hear that tonight, steve, have you more insight to the campaign than i do. Listening to Rudy Giuliani and the comments he made, i dont know that youre going to hear him be quite as tough as matt suggests on immigration tonight. What do you think we have to look forward to . Right. I think that youre exactly right. Were going to hear a shift tonight. Hes not going to give on nonnegotiables like securing the border, the fact there will be no path to citizenship. We cannot reward criminal activity with allout citizenship. I think regarding the 11 million or so illegals who are here, were going to hear a humane and sensible policy regarding them. Criminals and dangerous people have to leave immediately. Anyone who is a drain on the system leave immediately. After that, get to people who are working, who have families, im not speaking for the campaign, i suspect they will go through a process not to get citizenship but remain here. Trish matt, whats wrong with all that . Nothing, if he says we need to increase the number of legal visas and dont necessarily have to have every immigrant become a citizen, then hes on the path to something sane. I can get there. Trish the political consequences as well, and the thinking he might be able to bring in more voters maybe like matt or others who are not decide yet because of some changes in his policy. Well be watching. And trish, i think this is absolutely key. I am so proud of donald trump that he is reaching out to people of color, people who are not traditionally republican constituencies. Years ago i worked for jack kemp and hes channeling the late jack kemp. He used to say, republicans we cant be comfortable in suburban country clubs, we need to be in the barrio, in the inner city talking about growth policies. Hes going to detroit saturday. Were going to have a great speech tonight. We can convince the people the democrats take them for granted and we have answers that can make their lives better. Trish were going to talk about that coming up. Weve got a panel planned on just exactly that topic. Reuters reporting that donald trump has now arrived in mexico city to meet with the mexican president. This, of course, coming hours before hes going to deliver the big immigration speech tonight in phoenix. I want to remind you all, i will be there for you, ill be covering it tonight, starting right here at 8 00 p. M. Eastern. We have a special edition of the Intelligence Report planned for you. Were going to be bringing you trumps remarks. In mexico, just as soon as we get them. Tune in right after lou dobbs tonight at 8 00 p. M. For the big, big speech. While donald trump is reaching out to hispanic voters today, hes reaching out to africanamerican voters saying the Republican Party is the party of abraham lincoln, and the democrats, the party of slavery. He says the democrats take black votes for granted. Is he right . Is it time for minority voters to reconsider their loyalty to the Democratic Party . Could trump possibly win them over . More on the changing demographics of both Political Parties for you next. Its scary when the lights go out. People get anxious and my office gets flooded with calls. So many things can go wrong. Its my worst nightmare. Every second that power is out, my citys at risk. Siemens digital grid manages and reroutes power, so service can be restored within seconds. Priority number one is keeping those lights on. It takes ingenuity to defeat the monsters that live in the dark. Better buckle up. That inactive satellite radio of yours is ready to roll. Because the siriusxm free listening event is on right now just hit the sat button in your car and listen free thru sept 6. Thats right, two glorious weeks of commercialfree music, plus talk, sports, comedy, news, and more. Your ride has never, ever, rocked like this. Oh yeah, siriusxm is on for free right now. So tune in and lets ride the Republican Party is the party of abraham lincoln. It is the Democratic Party that is the party of slavery. The party of opposition. Hillary clinton is a bigot who sees people of color only as votes. Some strong words from in detroit this weekend. They use words no republican has quite dared to use before. We are asking if this message as it can help them win over minority voters. New york state Democratic Party dr. King starting with you do you think that the democrats have betrayed africans americans in this country . I its fascinating that mr. Donald trump staying true to his own playbook does things that no one else generally dares to do. That is some of the information. About how historically it is the democrats that did many of the oppressive things to the slaves and the blacks in america and so he is saying things that many people had known but wouldnt say. Whether it will help my brothers and sisters in the black community to vote for him i dont know. I promise you we will be voting prolife. I can tell you that. I can tell you that. Its something i rest friends in the intro. Its shocking to hear him out there that it is through the Republican Party it is a party that traditionally really was for black americans in a way the democrats werent but historically that all kind of got muddled and somehow they had been presented as the racist bigots and he is trying to turn it on its head. There is a broader conversation with that. If you remember in some outreach even to some churches in brookland where i know that Republican Leaders were going there. I also think is neglected is the movement of africanamericans to the Democratic Party. Starting with roosevelts. Going through the 50s and 60s. We get to kennedy and johnson. It was in 1960s that i think the republicans got 20 of the africanamerican vote because the Party Policies just turned away from where immunities of color were congregated. They are struggling in ways that are far more severe than anything we have seen in recent memory. Race relations have gone to a point where it was unthinkable the things that are happening right now in this country. And so i look at it and i wonder if these communities in electing so many liberal thinkers and policymakers they cant get out from under. My dad taught me that we are one human race now he was an independent. He was a republican. He did vote for president kennedy because he helped get my uncle out of jail. He was a staunch republican. Its important that we know these views today and know our history because if you dont know your history you will repeat it and it will continue to hurt. It will likely follow what we learned when the lights go on. And surprising that it comes right now from donald trump. He is just so unconventional. Whether you have to lose it. There is a lot to lose. He does say enough is enough. If we could celebrate the ethnic distinctions. It will tell him there is a wonderful thing about the africanamerican community. These are conversations that need to be head. And now he is forcing them. Thank you so much its good to have you both here. All right everyone. The millions of americans under Social Security. They never bothered to tell the taxpayers. We are on it after this. If youre taking prescription medications, does your mouth often feel dry . A dry mouth can cause cavities and bad breath. Over 400 medications can cause a dry mouth. Thats why theres biotene. Biotene can provide soothing dry mouth relief. And it keeps your mouth refreshed too. Remember while your medication is doing you good, a dry mouth isnt. Biotene, for people who suffer from dry mouth symptoms. For your retirement, you wanted to celebrate the little things, before they get too big. And that is why you invest. The best returns arent just measured in dollars. Td ameritrade. We are on it after this. Check out these markets. We one indication. And not really the best. To buy monsanto. It is hurt competition. They are contesting this. The first u. S. Commercial flight. The jet blue flight. The irs has discovered more than a million americans numbers were stolen by Illegal Immigrants. But they never told actual taxpayers who have information stolen. Investigators were alerting the irs to as many as five years ago. It still hasnt been fixed. It is stunning that the irs has chosen to aid and a bad for so long. So why are they aiding criminals. Wow. The illegal alien. Part of the thing is you need is a security number. Wouldnt it show up when you apply for the job when it comes to looking at those numbers. They get hired. The employer by the way is pain into the Social Security on someone else. Its only part one. So then tax time comes around and they are using a fake Social Security number file their taxes using an individual taxpayer idaho number. We still want to pay tax. You can prove it by using this number. When it goes into the system they know someone is using a stolen number. The Inspector General did an investigation and said wait a minute you have got over a million and of course what are you doing. Its not always easy. We put this Pilot Program in. They may have caught 25,000 out of a million. Bottom line is Illegal Immigrants stealing in the first place someones so security number and by the way if the irs doesnt do anything it will just take you to a credit repair bureau. Because all of this has been racked up on your number. It is stunning. Bureaucracy at its worst. I will take a deep breath. There is more coming up. Does this head anything to do with that. Should we not had reported that. Should we not had reported that. Donald trump is in mexico right now. We do expect donald trump to speak shortly after his meeting and of course he has that big speech plant in arizona tonight its beginning at 8 00 p. M. With some really terrific analysts planned. And of course as soon as donald trump actually talks to reporters there in mexico we will bring you that as well. Do not go anywhere. Have a big night planned for you here on foxbusiness. We would be better off at the media stopped talking about terrorism altogether take a listen. If you are willing to carry this out. You can make some noise. Tell the media to stop it. Like it didnt even happen. Yesterday the official isis spokesman was killed in syria marking the highest profile killing member today. With the administration. Joining me right now. Unfortunately they care about terror attacks. We are not going to report this. A work in a backoff maybe it is helping to create more terror attacks. They are the three blind mice of American Foreign policy they have blindly blundered their strategy so that now the jihad has gone global and since it cant control the story theyre trying to control the story teller by suggesting that us that make a big deal about it. That the 10,000 syrian refugee has entered in the United States with very little if any betting i believe this is a foretelling that the story is about to get much worse for us you are a journalist you have a Radio Program in your commentator. How does a sit with you. What he just said. I actually agree that there is too much exposure that helps an organization such as this. Once wanted to be a rap star. Some of the people want the attention. They get more attention when they be have something for example. They use the media as we know as a recruitment tool. If we dont report i dont think we should report our strategy i think its very dangerous for our troops. I dont think we should give the attention to the group it is a fair point. It seems like we do telegraph and a that in a big way. Before we actually strike it. There is an over emphasis on communication on that part. I dont know how can you not report when there is a bombing that goes off. Or if they are mowed down by a terrace with the truck. I get it these guys want the attention. The world they deserve to know the atrocities that are happening. He wasnt talking about signaling our defense strategy. He was talking about downplaying the reality of global jihad that is exactly what he was saying. When 84 people are mowed down by a truck should we just say it was just an isolated incident. They have absolutely tried to do that. If you think about what happened in the streets of cologne. No one wants to admit what was going on. Even some of the attacks here leslie there has been sent an emphasis on the deranged person mentally if you are a member isis you are mentally deranged. Why are we trying to blame that instead of actually looking at what is happening in the world leslie. I would agree with you. Part of the problem that i see the people have a right to know and that is certainly what we do here. And have the right to and should do. I think it is the over blown sometimes reporting and coverage unfortunately i am out of time. I will see you guys soon. Its a very big day and it will be a very big night. These are life and pictures coming to us right now. Donald trump will be unveiling his immigration policy and we will be all over it. Folks are lining up their already getting ready for the big speech tonight. What does he get a say. A lot of people are suggesting that he may go away from his earlier comments. We are going to be there covering it for you right here on the Intelligence Report. And as a special edition 8 00 p. M. Eastern i will see you there. I will see you tonight for our special coverage. But first lets take a look at our markets. Wall street closing the books on the month of august. If oil driving it up. We will talk about that. They mention this. We are following the billionaire businessman did arrive
