Britain losing its aaa Credit Rating after is the beaches to downgrade alert affected the stock market losses. Rafferty Capital Research analyst odea. Thank you for joining us. As the downgrade concern you, really want to get your thoughts im Financial Post this ftse. Is accorded the u. S. Financials as opposed to the European Banks, the u. S. Banks actually benefit for whats gone on to this point. Most of the theories argue that either the shortterm Interest Rates will stay very low than doubled her and profits are that there is some sort of Systemic Risk sitting in the Banking Industry are pretty much incorrect. If you take a look and go backwards before we go forward, if you take a look at the year 2015. All you heard was Interest Rates are too low to the economist are growing rapidly enough. Huge loss occurring as a result of the drop in energy prices. Big banks cant be managed at the end of the year, at the end of 2015 the big industry reported the highest pretax profits in its history in four of the biggest earners in all companies in the United States were banks. Jpmorgan earned more money than ever come me in the United States other than apple. Wells fargo was the fourth biggest earner. To the group of seven. Bank of america was 10. There is nothing sad in 2015 about this industry which would have told you that was going to happen. Maria thats a big number. In other words, it sounds like you are not as concerned as so many had been over the last couple of days. What is the impact of the u. K. Exit and eat you . There are new regulations may need to be formed in the next two years. Do you expect the banks to be pulling employees out of the u. K. . What is the impact . They will not pull anybody out of the u. K. Basically if you think about the london markets and i think the quote that you put on a few minutes ago is exactly correct. Tens of thousands of people with intellectual capital sitting there that dont want to live in zurich where dublin or frankfurt. Youve got literally hundreds of billions of dollars spent in technology over the years had used by the legal system is fleshed to benefit trading in london. People think you are going to tear off at a party and throw all around the world in places where they dont have the technology. They dont have intellectual capital and the legal systems. There are two issues which are pounding the banks they are. The first one is this theory to shortterm Interest Rates are going to stay low for a long time and nobody knows how banks are going to make money. For the last seven years come and effective federal funds rate has been 25 basis point. Two thirds of that period, the rate has been below 15 basis points. That does not stop firm showing bigger earnings every year except one. That fury which argues theres shortterm Interest Rates drive Bank Earnings is simply dead wrong. What drives bigger advances loans. Investors responding to the wall street journal today wall street journal today coming into credit, royal bank of scotland come in Deutsche Bank on more than 50 down on the 52 week highs. What is the market telling us about u. K. Banks and European Banks . What happens to them in the wake of this vote . They dont have a clue as to how things function. Anyway, the fact is if you take a look at american banks. I want to talk about European Banks. Im not a European Bank analysts. Youve got assigned to talk about one of them. Think about u. S. Banks. And the last five years theyve added 3. 3 trillion in deposits. 2 trillion of that has been put into either the federal funds for the Federal Reserve or buying governmentbacked securities. 1. 3 trillion of that was to make laws. The net effect is you have built a Banking Industry in this country, which has moores ability, more the quiddity, more capital than you seen in 45 years. At the same time that is happening, people are worried that some counterparty risk coming out of europe, which basically is going to impact the stability of the american banks. Sandra were looking at goldman sachs. In the premarket of them in the u. S. Banks are bouncing back ahead of the open. People will start to say when the reply. The u. S. Investor has been so nervous. Can you talk specifically where you think people should start to put their money to work if indeed we start to witness a turnaround here . Take a look at bank of america selling at 50 of its expected book value for 2016. The company has 400 billion in securities, which they are going to get this massive windfall profit on because Interest Rates are declining. Beyond that, the bank is in a situation where if Interest Rates keep dropping, theres going to be a huge refinance boom in mortgages, which will drive their revenue up maybe 20 to 30 in the Second Quarter and probably 100 if Interest Rates go with what people talk about in the third quarter. Their above volume is increasing very rapidly. Theyve got more capital than any other company more equity than any other company in the united state in this bank which is considered to be brought and beaten down has made more money in 2015 than ever come me the united basic steps nine and three of the nine that the banks. Maria sounds like all this is an overreaction from negative Interest Rates and the impact on the banks to the overreaction for it leaving the e. U. This thursday we will hear from the Federal Reserve in terms of which banks and paid dividends and do buybacks. Roleplay, who is best positioned when the fed makes the announcement on thursday . Bank of america will double. And citigroup, dividend will go up. The fed may decide they want our capital in the Banking Industry, which obviously is a the factors on thursday of last week, the fed had 33 banks the biggest banks of the United States could withstand a depression and still lend money. Get on friday a whole bunch of traitors at the Systemic Risk exists in the industry and everybody decided the Federal Reserve and the fdic know nothing about tanks and the traders know everything about them in the stock has plummeted. Maria there you go. Drew a dark by what every case. Maria wow, all right. Real bullish today. Thanks so much. We will talk soon. He did say he thinks the dividend at the bank of america will double. While the meeting was supposed to be about a guy sitting at that time ambassador Chris Stevens was still missing from the report found five of the 10 action meetings reference the video. They spent the majority of their time talking about things completely superfluous to the main point, which at that point was to find a missing ambassador in missing ambassador in the pet and earth to save those americans in trouble. The report interviewed 80 witnesses previously not called to testify. Then rose the current u. N. Ambassador susan rice for her National Television appearances five days after the attack where she put the emphasis on internet video is the reason americans were attacked to benghazi number 11. The select Committee Democrats released their own report on concluded the Defense Department could not done anything differently to change the outcome of the bad guys in law security was totally inadequate, Hillary Clinton never personally denied any request for additional security for the operation there. Maria thanks very much. Attorney general jerry schaefer. Thanks for joining us. Are you surprised by the high degree of partisanship on these findings . No, im disappointed as always this is the case. Its very clear you have one im disputable fact that ms. Clinton did not act before hand to make sure libya or centerpiece of policy was taking care of. The night of the attack that its very clear she did not work to be aggressive and clear in trying to send there was once after the fact that katherine just pointed out in her report before the attack was done, they are now caught in the narrative they were going to use. Keep in mind ambassador stevens was probably a bite at that point. Democrats and there was no response possible is false. I talked to sources on the inside. Fernando was ready to roll. He talked about the fact he had resources ready to go through the whole narrative of the democrats that its also designed to give ms. Clinton some sort of a pastor say she was in charge but it doesnt hurt all. But, maria, either take a the 3 00 a. M. Call and do something with it or pass. In this case should pass. Tammy bruce here. There are arguments that secretary clinton at the time never personally was no msm issues are never purse i responded. Isnt that the rates established . We know ambassador stevens never had her email address. It is interesting she seems to have been protected in a certain way to say she never personally intervened or issued an order. Its that kind of structure what wed expect for the team of people who are supposed to be addressing this . Thats correct. Maria manages enterprise through a soda straw. It goes both ways. If youre not personally bought them into cant get this done in a move or say protect purposes of making sure it doesnt come upon her. That is dodging responsibility. This is a pattern if its good i want to take credit. If its not that i had no idea whats going on here. She said over and over again i didnt know this. I had no idea. That is not emblematic of a good leader. A good leader said this is what i thought. This is what i was trying to do. Before the attack there was adequate proof, multiple intelligence reports that benghazi was in jeopardy. The british had shut down their mission. Maria will this impact the white house race . Donald trump will use this and rightly so. Anybody whos going to look at who the commanderinchief is going to be asked to understand therell be situations like this on a daily basis. The question becomes do you weigh into it into what is necessary to save your ambassador for you just like to do the political insight they been doing so far. Investors look to the uk as a sign of what is ahead for their money. And investors do not already missed. Stephanie, good to see you. Maria you were so great over the years, and most people miss the macro story of 2015. Give us your take on britain leading the eu and impact on the us economy. It is a wakeup call. That was evident in the markets reaction globally. The economy both here and around the world is not a strong as markets perceived them to be. I have been hammering on the weakness and the consumer in the us and most constituents here and again in europe and the uk feel this recovery bypassed them, financial Asset Recovery but in their world maria why has the recovery been so week . Clearly the Interest Rate, financial these global Central Banks kind of encouraged more Financial Engineering than investment in the economy, hiring ask etc. We have had a jobs recovery but it was very poor quality and what people overlook as well was there were scars from the bubble bust that had altered Consumer Behavior fundamentally so consumers were trying to save and Central Banks said we will lower rates and lower rates and lower rates and suddenly if i want to pay x amount i have to work twice as hard to do it. One of the effects of brexit is pushing back the likelihood of the fed raising Interest Rates. We have a longer period of low Interest Rates and that splits the stock market from coming back so we might not be getting the earnings for we are talking continued very low rates as far as the eye can see. This is my concern. I have been hammering on all the signs that the economy is not already in recession soon will be and i now am convinced when the second half rebound doesnt happen it will be blamed on brexit rather than all the things actually wrong with the economy. Low rates help to justify stock market values where they are and will they continue to push stocks higher . Because we are talking about the fed not raising rates at all. We had four quarters of profits and what we are talking about is an environment where you are going to see probably another sign that brexit in x, slowing spending in general and this monster inventory overhang that has not begun to work through earnings at all and we are down four quarters onto the scene. Two more quarters of down earnings, that will be hard for the market to square. You will have more of that there is no alternative, low Interest Rate repression but on the other hand are they surprised, and that is it. The psychology of politics, i noticed at the beginning of this by the remaining people, they were more moving, what they expected, the actual pools, and armageddon, the sky is falling, the house will fall on all our friends and that seemed to calm down a little bit. How much do you work in that emotional response, political manipulation of almost the remaining people wanting to occur. Doesnt that and obama trade issues and there is that uncertainty, tag that agree . They were not in touch with the emotion of people going to the polls who were fired up, angry because we have been bypassed by this recovery in the markets if you look at where they overlap, the s p versus the consumer comfort index, they have gotten like this for years so there is a new recovery. Betting market and stock markets fell when you saw that. The stock market, the betting markets, they are saying that there are stocks, and the betting market betting the people they chased the last move. Maria what is the biggest risk to the us investor . They are missing a recession on coming in the second half or early 2017 . You expect a recession in the us. We have gdp out today, the final read of the gdp, tend to be backward looking, what do you expect . I dont expect much. The real story will be the second half. People have written off the first half, earnings and growth, and fully behind us we can move forward and there is any disappointment im sure they will blame it on brexit when the reality, you do have monster inventory, look at i guess ratios, and declining consumer goods orders is an indication of consumer weakness. Wilderness, four quarters revenues, these are not signs. You are talking consumers being the weak link. I argue Business Investment is the weakling, surprisingly soft, cant figure out why it is so soft. It is regulation. Businesses are looking around the corner and not sure how they will allocate capital given the fact Health Care Costs have gone up, regulatory fees have gone up, Financial Service regulation. We have been talking about this. There are other factors too. How important a factor is that . Dragging down the economy . It is both cause and affect. Part of the reason Business Investment has been soft is regulation, but if they felt they could sell more merchandise they would be out there selling more merchandise. Maria a demand. Recognize the consumer isnt quite as lively as he was before the crisis. Even saying that they left this monster inventory, still overly optimistic even as cautious as they have been. There are two sides to it, the regulation, obamacare has not helped business or consumer. Maria what do you need to see to feel better about where the macro story is . The inventory or you need to see Consumer Spending . You need to see Consumer Spending but that will come from real quality job growth and Business Investment that we are talking about. For me that is the thing that can swing the economy in a positive way, that is what i focused on for avoiding the recession. Maria which is type why tax reform is critical. That is why there is so much uncertainty a lot of investors getting into a market where we are in an Election Year and a lot is about to change no matter who is elected into office. Thanks for joining us. Hillary clinton has a friend putting her on the campaign trail. Senator liz warren taking on trump. More on their election gameplay coming up. What is stronger than coffee . Maria donald trump will deliver a speech on the economy title declaring America Economic independence expected to label china a currency manipulator. Sunday i spoke with senior policy advisor Stephen Millis about strong immigration policies and trade deals without nationalism. Even though britain couldnt exercise selfdetermination because their membership in the eu, britain had a greater amount of Border Control than the United States does which is an astonishing statement and a profound indictment of our Political Class so moderating trade policies and immigration policies serve the interest of People Living here today will be a move towards the historical position of most civilized countries which is if you are making a trade deal, immigration deal you have to look out for your own worker. Maria want to bring in special assistant to george w. Bush ron christie, democratic strategist steve murphy, good to see you, thanks for joining us. I think trump is walking this balance of fighting for the American People and getting the trade deal from americas standpoint without looking too nationalistic. He is smart in his remarks. There are more specifics for him since Ronald Reagan passed the tax reform in 1986, calling for reductions in martial rates or specific deductions, what is his trade plan going to be. The American People more than ever want to hear from donald trump, to see that he is a strong president ial candidate. Maria you cant deny what happened in britain leaving the eu played to donald trump, he is walking on this campaign and saying this about trade and immigration and that is what they voted for. Is that right . That is right. If you look what happened in Great Britain, it is a backlash against the elites, in brussels and london stimulating new everything and folks around Great Britain said this is not what we support. The same opportunity exists for donald trump. The last 7 years, where are we right now . What is the government doing . Talk for a second what trump is going to say about china being a currency manipulator, this was the case for the past 15 years and china got a huge trade advantage but seems the problem now is chinas currency because it is tethered to the us dollar, as opposed to being undervalued, does that label china a currency manipulator solving americas problems. With pressure coming out of china for the currency to be that, not to rise in value. A question of fundamental fairness, have they traded in good faith and fairness over the years and that is the argument trump is trying to build on. Fundamental fairness. Isnt that the problem of 10 years ago . That is not a problem of today when the chinese currency is overvalued . They are trying to stem the pressure. I hear what you are saying. We have seen the chinese in my opinion have not acted in good faith for so many years, trump is trying to capitalize on that saying if you look at our trade deficit and where we have been with trading particularly with china over the last decade the American People can understand and recognize they have not been after us in good faith which is what trump is coming from. Maria people are wondering why this issue has not been front and center sooner like the last 7 years. A couple things. First of all donald trump has said he is going to get tough with china, put a 40 tariff on chinese products. Now he is saying his Economic Policy towards china is he will call them a currency manipulator. We have been doing that for the last 15, 20 years. There is no change whatsoever. Im very confused. On friday he was touting the value of currency devaluation in Great Britain for himself. Maria for 15 years how come something has changed . Doing all these trade deals with american disadvantage . There is a lot of argument whether we are advantaged or disadvantaged. Take the tpp that is up for debate. Both candidates running for president are opposed to that but vietnam already, these countries send 70, 75 of their exports to the United States without any tariff whatsoever. Under a new trade agreement like that we get a better deal, not a were steel. Maria come november the American People face a decision with the economy being their top concern in the country right now. They have to decide probably between Hillary Clinton and donald trump. Make the case, who would be the best candidate for the us economy . Donald trump if he comes out with a specific plan today will be the better candidate. In my view clinton represents the third term of the Obama Administration. We have seen growth of 2 . Maria why do you think strategically she separated herself more from the obama economy because she touted successes . She will raise taxes on corporations. I think she is walking a delicate line, she wants to say look at all the successes in the obama economy but the obama economy, she does not want the president to be in position where he is not supportive of her. We know what has gone on for the last few years, we have an economy that is unable to break out of this 2 range, businesses as John Hilsenrath points out who are reluctant to spend money because of high regulatory environment. All the way to the left, Elizabeth Warren, said she is going to raise taxes. Why is that the right strategy given where we are in the economy . We have 500,000 new manufacturing jobs, millions of new jobs, you are talking about the stock market might go up, over 100 over barack obama because the economy is recovering. And yet one of them. The biggest problem. We cant break out of the slow range that has empowered donald trump, this is the story of our times. Donald trump is losing terribly. Dont out him as a success. The American People make a decision if they like how things are now they will vote for Hillary Clinton and vote for donald trump. I think barack obama is at 52 approval. The right call for hillary to go on obama economics . Hillary will be her own president and do things differently for barack obama. She will build on his successes. She is not trashing him like donald trump. Maria thank you so much, see you soon. We will be right back. Maria welcome back, i am maria bartiroma, it is june 20, 7 am on the east coast. Ashley they are not. He was getting jeered quite a bit but it was his moment in the sun if you like. The battle over who is going to take over as british Prime Minister heats up, those that want to apply have until noon on thursday. Boris johnson among those expected, the home secretary, was beating Boris Johnson in an informal poll so that could be a tight race. The other side of the coin, the political chaos in the labour party with Jeremy Corban facing a vote of confidence. If that doesnt work out he has lost 26 members of the administration who resigns or is fired. It could be hard to be leader of the labor party by the end of this week. The markets, so many questions, very few answers but we shall see. Later today there was a rally planned, some 50,000 people expected, now we are getting word it is canceled, people say it is too dangerous, all very confusing. People are going to show up anyway. Interesting it would be canceled, we will see about that. We will be watching. Ashley webster live in london. Investors digest implications of the british eu vote for the Global Economy and european politics. I want to bring in Charles Schwab and liz and saunders with her take, good to see you. Thanks for joining us. Take us back to the Immediate Reaction in Global Markets. What is the impact of britain leaving the eu . We dont know yet. The market reaction, probably not a stretch to say it is overdone but a lot is just reversing, not only some of the gains earlier this year but gains going into the vote thursday a massive move up so friday was a giveback of those gains, we went beyond that yesterday and we dont know the economic impac there has not been a lot of broad downgrades to economic assumptions. Even if we come down it is off of very low level so this doesnt help us get out of the growth environment but i dont think anything would have. What will drive things in the second half of the year . Will anything get this economy and get the markets going . Are we slogging through . If we saw Business Investment kick in why should we . Maria i dont want to use the word blame. Im not a fed basher by nature but i think the fed has done more harm than good relating to the confidence channel. Treating the economic patient like it is in the trauma room is the reason Business Investment is so weak. It is perfectly rational decision not to invest longterm but instead take advantage of low Interest Rates to buy back their own stock and that is the primary support in the market. The fed keeps talking down the economy and every year they have growth forecast close to 3 , they are reacting to the same bad economy, that ceos are in. That is what the market assumptions are with the fed and the fed has to come down and the gap will narrow in 2017 by the fed coming down in the markets going up. If there is one benefit to an incredibly sluggish recovery from the outset, the access tips you into recession. We avoid recession not because it is an optimistic outlook on growth but the excess whether it is investment excess, monetary policy. That huge inventory. That is why she thinks there will be a recession in the second half of the year. The inventory backlog and business spending. We are more likely to stay in this below trend environment thing. We are in an earnings recession and i think the only turn comes if we dont see the renewed rally in the dollar percentage. Under those circumstances those earnings within the First Quarter, and inflection matters more for the market than absolute levels and better good matters more more than good or bad. Should we be buying stock . Interestingly the best environment for the stock stock market is when earnings are in the20 to5 zone which is surprising to a lot of investors. One of the worst times to be buying the market is when earnings are growing 20 . Because of that idea of and Inflection Point when you come off of a low and accelerating that is your best opportunity from a market perspective. How can viewers know when we are at that Inflection Point . We dont. That is the problem. And infection point whether it is an earnings in fighting point or economic infection point think of march. Something to hang on. By beth diminishing you are at the bottom. The absolute data looks at its worst. Figuring out that turn. Maybe i think the uncertainty of brexit, the election is a step back. Maria that is a factor not only because it is an open election, we dont have an incumbent but a two term president , the worst year of the eight in a eight your cycle. I would argue the uncertainty associated with this unique collection might be higher than normal. Is this a unique collection . Maria . Good to see you. Al qaeda is charging white americans to avoid al qaeda giving the hate crime label. More on the terrorist groups shocking strategy. Hillary clinton facing criticism about her trustworthiness, why she says she has a lot of work to do. Maria donald trump giving economics policy speech in pennsylvia, first appearance on the campaign trail since the trip to scotland. Joining us is catrina pearson. Thanks for joining us. What will Donald Trumps message be today . The message will be quite clear, definitely focus on the economy specifically after the brexit vote people wanting to take back their economy. The media has tried to push this in a fashion that supports globalism whereas people want to make their own decisions. They dont want to be burdened by regulation. They want to keep their jobs and dont want their wages capped and donald trump has had his pulse on the people for quite some time. Maria can he walk this balance and achieve fighting for the American People, making sure america has the best trade deal and the country is not at a disadvantage without looking to nationalistic and turning the country into a closed society . Absolutely. Mister trumps existence being an International Businessman all over the world, still keeping his priorities at home is the example of someone with the concept that is extremely important to have these affairs internationally whether it is trade in the economy or National Security for that matter but being able to prioritize folks at home is where mister trump will succeed particularly on this speech, we have had opportunities in the past to talk about the trade deals and how they failed in the past and we had politicians simply not doing that and that is what happened in the uk with politicians who care more about their political achievements rather than the workingclass. Maria how is donald trump going to tell those who look like they will support Hillary Clinton because they are happy with the way things are going, recent Washington Post poll showing half of americans think obama is doing a good job. One democratic strategist pointed out obamas Approval Rating at 56 , if you like the way things are you will vote for Hillary Clinton, how does donald trump say you are not so good off and geyou to vote for him . The polls are misleading. We have millions of new voters out there who dont show up in these polls because they have never been plugged in and comparing and contrasting moving forward will be extremely helpful after the convention, highlighting differences between policies pointing out where nafta has failed the Transpacific Partnership which Hillary Clinton has given over 45 speeches in favor of and suddenly doesnt support it. We are not going to let her get away with that and point out how horrible the Transpacific Partnership would be to americans whether it means overhauling jobs, shipping jobs overseas or capping wages, we need to get to commonsense policies, stop letting bureaucrats make decisions for businessmen and individuals and we can no longer allow entities put in place not by elections but politicians and corporations to make decisions globally or even nationally and those of the differences we will point out along the process. Maria then there is the benghazi report, 339 pages, it mentions Donald Trumps name 20 times, focused on the wrong things here . They are mentioning donald trump in a benghazi report. The democrats are saying this is being politicized, it is truly tragic, mentioning the super pac, there is a lot of discrepancy moving forward because Hillary Clinton has missing emails from that point, we have whistleblowers talking about the reasons ambassador stevens is there, and the state Department Gave to al qaeda, we have no answers on that yet and even in the first congressional testimony with Dennis Kucinich who asked where those missiles were. We have gaping holes in this. We have been talking about manipulation, the press conference was handled, no matter what he says the media will generally presented differently, what is his plan to overcome that . Is there a structure in place . We seem responding to Elizabeth Warren in support of mister trump and really lowering himself in that position. How do you adjust your response to the media and mister trumps role in that regard . That is a great question. It is interesting to see how to adjust, you probably noticed Rapid Response, more detailed information out of the campaign so everyone supporting mister trump, you have details against the media narrative and that is one way to do it. Mister trump will start giving a series of speeches, hoping to do one a week to get out there so his message can get out there aside from the media narrative. It will be important because you are absolutely right. Of mister trump had given a speech on Foreign Policy or brexit the media would have accused him of capitalizing on opportunity so this is one of those things we have to navigate carefully but i think taking control of the narrative by Rapid Response and having these speeches will help a lot. Maria we will see about the specifics. Everyone says the same thing. We need real specifics in terms of policy. Is he going to do that . Absolutely. He will give a speech today and you will have more specific that even if he does give specifics the media says there are not enough specific for Hillary Clinton give 0 details on all her topics, they are all talking points but we are going to get out and get specifics, mister trump will be very detailed and you wi see more Rapid Response giving you those details so we can get out and fight against the narrative. Maria good Tuesday Morning welcome back i am maria bartiromo. Tuesday, june 28 top stories right now 7 30 a. M. On the east coast, a relief rally for global about markets, he go weve got money into stocks, european leaders making their way to bristles right now, to navigating britains back the out of the eu you what a exit means for 27 countries in the eurozone among those at meeting british ro Prime Minister cameron Angela Merkel, European CentralBank President mario draghi earlier ecb president draghi said global summer banks should align policies more closely he didnt mention british vote futures point to go strong gains the open of trading are we going to see more Central Banks, intervention and alined intervention in the europe Financial Servicers associating leading this morning that is the sector moving higher, and sending ft 100 up 2 1 2 cac quarante dax index higher better than 2 pound i used to be consubtle tlanlt they got agency many votes on the left as they got on the right. Labour and conservative boat voted for them the round is round the point of snyder insider outsider associations with major banks if trump says he will break them up reinstate glasssteagall. What if she. Do you have any idea of the matter what her positions are, if trump stretches that stuff, he can get the Bernie Sanders vote. That is a future of the Republican Party, does that become the outsider Establishment Party if so how does outsider antiestablishment become the establishment. By winning. That is go back to the first question that is the future of the Republican Party is no it longer 2 party of conservative ordeals the party of outsider yint establishment night is party of they switched, rolls with the democrats, they become the party of the working man and woman the democrats become the party of the wall street establishment hillarys candidacy he pit myselfees that. The point about National Polls the president ial race not a national race, they you can you can we dont vote flaishl we vote statebystate 27 electoral votes florida ohio pennsylvania may have switch. You just. This is where trump. Because it is she just clinched the nomination, but one of the key things we have to do, we meaning people opposed to hillary not to give up on history of Hillary Clinton. There are so many scandals over so long, twice she came within a whisker of being indicted ordered the firings asked did you order firing said no, i didnt she was not indicted technically she was not in chain of command and therefore could not technically order the firings even though she ordered them there is and in this book we talk about all of the scandals all of the lies, the other thing that is important which is how you look at the email scandal is hillary would rather have the chinese and russians, have access to her emails by hacking, than the american media, by using the state Department Server discoverable in creating why isnt donald trump talking more about this . You mentioned the top of the interview about the uranium sale, it seems that the foundation there is all these conflicts you dont hear him speaking. He has to organize his dwook there has got to be, a bomb a day. And he just praised the lord passed the the ammunition isnt doing that. Why . I think it is disorganization in his campaign. I think it is people dont understand enough about the negatives on hillary they need to use them, you can keep her busy the entire election, talking about her scandals. What if she runs with Elizabeth Warren is that the most logical choice. I think possibly that she does i think that she would alienate a lot of wall street money pretty dependent upon. I also think she doesnt like to be shown up, and Elizabeth Warren would show her up. Let me ask you about immigration you were so critical in terms of doing that vote, in britain, years ago, but immigration Trump Campaign seems moving away from calls for a blanket religious ban on immigration now a policy of targeting specific countries, most dangerous countries and people coming out of them to america. The right way to do that to effect his goal say we dont carry about muslims in philippines that is fine not where terrorist are or bangladesh we care about terror sponsoring countries if a country a significant part of territory controlled by terrorists no immigrants from that country. That used to be pourings in the United States a robust list of trir sponsoring, harbor states nation now we put skuka back on being north korea off. Quick, you you have known donald trump this honoring working with him who does he prefer running mate. I dont know. I hope condi rice would be my first us choice. Has he intone that i wrote a book condi v hillary with my wife. Has he spoken about condi rice. I dont know she would be good Newt Gingrich would be good. He i think he needs, he needs someone obviously very gravitas very supstantive he is not doing a good job of steering hillarys record needs a better job there is much the other thing is to reach the Bernie Sanders vote the left hook, say that you in being and inequality soared the reason is quantitative easing. Distributing monday to banks. Why she would with choose Elizabeth Warren correct me if i am wrong i dont think they like each other very much. Right. They dont like each other . I dont think so, warren is a bankruptcy attorney her knowledge of economics, and knowledge of Foreign Affairs doesnt exist. For trumps Vice President has to be somebody can be attack dog on hillary that is not Condoleezza Rice you have to have one as i mentioned with Katrina Pierson trump going after warren beneath him they need to go after hillary legitimately and strongly. You said you want somebody younger, you want the people two different trump is doing well at this point. Is in many ways, he is moving to the center. He was not disapproving of the Court Decision on abortion, if he were to choose a running mate like rice would speak volumes about not pork reliesing figure remember the central fact of this contest 2010 two people donald trump has negative froms what he says Hillary Clinton has negatives from what she has done she cant erase her record he can change his rhetoric. Interesting point great falsely nice i have to on program come back on. Good morning. Reporter , and good morning to you maria talk about jumping out of the pot into the fire David Cameron phases what you might call angry perhaps Hostile Group of european leaders when he addresses them tonight it is a working dinner, where he is going to be working through the brexit, now earlier that i, cameron was not in session with the parliament but European Parliament did meet the john claude, Commission President european Commission President saying i would like uk to clarify its position, not today or tomorrow, but swiftly, so there is still an effort to get a Quick Reaction from uk to divorce from eu, and then, speaking today, before the European Parliament was nigel farage actually said to European Parliament members that none of them worked a proper days job in lives got a lot of boos, marie le pen here from france taking perhaps a referenda there to leave eu said brexit was a victory for democracy so there is a lot to discuss but what will not happen is an immediate divorce. Because the uk has still not invoked article 50, the are procedures set into motion negotiations to leave, much more coming throughout the day, maria back to you. Maria is that by design that they have not invoked article 50 do they want this stretched out . Reporter you get the impression that the David Cameron has not invoked article 50 he wants to give the next Prime Minister the opportunity to do that, but what is happening in this what two to three month perhaps appeared is youve got people calling for perhaps second ep referendum if somehow government this fall in United Kingdom you then have an election would be de facto for whatever that government decides to so, so it is as if people are trying to buy time the ministries here in europe, in brussels, they want a divorce want it quick if that is what uk wants. Maria thank you adam, adam shapiro live in brussels. , he owner of minnesota Convenience Store unusual step to embattle crime Cheryl Casone with that. Cheryl that is right the owner of a store in Central Minnesota robbed twice in past three months, so he is offering a gas discount to people who have concealed carry permits, the discount also supplies to people who work in law enforcement, the discount is good every day, after 7 00 pomona, he continues to get robbed, at night, and frankly wants more protection, well, with home depot, trying to have fewer items on shelves they want them to be what academies greed should get comfortable with days of inventory not weeks, rethinking how they handle their inventory, trying to ibd of a out to ways to profitably serve growing noub of online shoppers. Maria welcome back u. S. Markets foifd open higher rallies across the world cme group looking at commodities, stocks good morning. Good morning, maria looks like taking a holiday right now what we are seeing, trade come off the market we are seeing it will as a pullback in the dollar, we are seeing it in a pullback in the vix futures and we are seeing it in oil right now oil up a dollar 20, i dont know if out of the woods yet but we are getting a lit relief as brexit becomes a recreditit that bounce right now other news on oil, we saw drawdown from private foreclosure no o oklahoma 1. 3 Million Barrels that is bullish the possibility of Norwegian Oil supplies would crimp supplies in tolled story about oil is demand in an globallyly very, very strong, near a record here in the United States. , so. The gas prices, yes . Weve got gas prices 11year low according to aaa, 5 million more americans expected to attractively over july 4 Holiday Weekend, compared to memorial day do you see gas station prices remaining low throughout the summer a big weekend for probative value . I think they are were going to see record demand over 86 million americans going to attractively, 86 are going to be driving people dont want to new because of the concerns about terror means more people on the roads, there is nothing more than Lower Oil Prices that make consumers feel confident we are going to see that play out this weekend, that is another sign, that when it comes to oil demand it continues to be strong we have seen record demand for gasoline this summer because of the prices it has been amazing that refineers have been able to keep up with demand refineers have been producing a record amount of them gasoline, so no matter what u. S. Drivers can throw at them believe it or not, we have been meeting demand with plentiful supply of oil, and a lot of production, so weve got to go out enjoy this Holiday Weekend i think a lot of americans will. Maria we will be watching that, phil thank you, happy july 4th to you, phil flynn joining us there, still to come global stocks on rebound following a wave of selling that wiped out three trillion dollars from global stotck markets in two days more on fallout from british eu vote straight ahead back innin a minute. Reporter , yeah, good morning to you maria i just want to make a point about the markets really interesting after all the volatility all big drops weve seen, bargain hunters jump in with some big names the Insurance Companies in particularly higher airlines some banks, and that is true on the continent as well italian banks a boost from government saying they will prop up banks considered shaky, because they have so many bad loans on their books all that put together at least it is a bit of a relief today the british pound also seeing some relief after such a big drop 31year low going from 150 to 131, 132 up slightly today, may be we found a flaw but these are unpredictable times to say the least. Big protests he weve been telling but you tret for Trafalgar Square is we understand canceled by Greater London cancele council they say safe amount of people for Trafalgar Square the middle of the city about 10,000 people, turns out some 50,000 people signed up to come rally for the eu, and, therefore, have not been given the permits it has been canceled the question is will they show up anyway, so we are going to follow that story, for you. Jeremiy corbyn placing a vote of confidence, we should know the results of that by 5 00 pm localnoon eastern time by all accounts he is very much struggling to remain leader of the Opposition Party here in the uk, i have kind of been eavesdropping on members of parliament talking around me all say he has to go, so we are following that development. Of course, who is going to replace David Cameron he says he he is out by october or november candidates lining up going to have to kind of i officially file by noon thursday Boris Johnson theresa may may be other people out of woodwork that is moving nice and quickly, by the way, last point to mention maria there has been absolute surge in passports for you ireland i about rish pass parts going through the roof, those that have some sort of ancestral tie to ireland putting in requests because ireland is still in the eu they want to stay in eu through irish passport i you been rish government saying please dont apply too many applications you are still in eu two years relax interesting angle. Maria sure is ashley thanks so much live this morning, in london, after being rocked the hardest by uk vote to leave eu the Banking Sector sis rebounding this morning, leading the rally in European Market joining me right now is ubs americas and woelt management americas president tom great to see you thanks for joining us as head of a major Financial Firm ubs in america, you obviously, have been right there, front seat in terminate of comlijs for the finance certificating as a result of brexit so what are the implications of britain exiting the eu from yaur standpoint. So fires, obviously, there are a couple different implications first one is Business Models the question is you know what will banks do,ed of that locations in london, using to passport into rest of the eu a little bit too early to make any determinations on that that will take some time, as negotiations on how uk exits, actual is completed secondary effects you are really seeing coming through this stocks prospects of further central bank easing for not tightening, as quickly as people modeled in, that did he dividend rebounds some have been expecting. Just extraordinary when we look at Central Banks today whether or not they are going to continue to stimulus there is a real day heing going on where they have wherewithal to do so to they have tools in the tool kit with a are you seeing from investors in terms of sentiment when they feel whether central bank, or a market that was extended going into brexit . Well you have youve had it of you had almost series of rolling spectator events from investors the first as i mentioned maria, waiting and watching on fed every meeting. And so investors pause wait, wait for the activity, and then prepare to move. Next you have the brexit vote, the next spectator sport we did see pickup in activity, following following the vote itself, at the same time we also saw a little bit of cash getting put to work, as people had held back in some Investment Decisions they were making. Maria yeah. But your next spectator sport for investors is in form of u. S. Election so you are likely to see activity slow down again, moving into the rest of the center and then into november. Maria all right this is a cycle that youve seen before. Youve had fed watch brexit watch the now election watch the. Maria but where are we in terms of of the cycle for Financial Services i mean we are coming off a period where every firm in street has cut jobs on trading desk we know, fixed income equities, as well, are you done deleveraging at ubs would we moved earlier than a lot of competitors starting strategic changes in vote. Bank over five years ago for us we largely done. When you take a look though at industry as a whole next big move you are at a point normally in the cycle would you be doing m a, but regulators dont look kindlyly on anymore you are likely to see people starting to look at utilities, how can the industry form utilities, for the back offices mid offices to gain ask meconomies of scale like to see competitors cooperate to put themselves in a position to deal with some cycle effects. So then sounds like not done with job cuts in terms of those of an industry. I say were not done yet in terms of squeezing out all the efficiencies that we he could. Let me ask you about capital obviously a major issue for the industry, big question for ubs whether the bank is now in line with the Swiss National bank capital requirements, we are going to hear from a Federal Reserve, later this week in terms of of the stress tests, how confident are you, in terms of capital, in terms of of the health of the bank right now. Extremely confident. We had as part of our our Strategic Moves we made fives years ago we set for ourselves an internal capital target, of 13 cet one ratio, 300 basis point premium to swiss requirements at the time since then two big to sale in a switzerland pass too big to fail two, too big to fail two we can meet wrest of the requirements largely by issuing at1 and hind instrumentalities over the course next couple years. Maria extraordinary, when you come up with when talk about all this rulemaking because the Financial Services industry has just gotten feeed to death and regulation to death is that a fair statement. Look, i certainly some of the regulation that came out of the financial crisis was necessary. Of the and certainly helped to make the Financial System far, far more safe far more secure than it was in the past. I say pebd aluminum probably swung a little bit too far. Maria yeah. To one said to. As it often does. You hope to see moderation after we make our way out of the election. Maria welcome back House Republicans out with report have a sheds light on white house response to the 2012 terrorist back to in benghazi new report claims Obama Administration, crafted a story that had attack on antimuslim video contradicting accounts from people on the ground new information on Hillary Clinton role in allegedly coverup joining knee five cohost authorize of and good knew is list on those advice from the bright side dana perino joining us great to see you thanks so much for joining us. That i can haves for having me. Reaction to this report. I think a fie things that are important in this router trey gowdy chairman deserves some credit for he said going to try to lay out facts in a way for some people republican side think it was not hard hitting enough on left they think it was too too expensive, i ridiculous we found out two important things undisclosed meeting teleconference between 7 15, 9 15 pm happens after leon panetta says to deploy. Out bn that phone call that is no evidence that there is any a deployment on that phone call discussion was, what are we going to do to basically cover our rear ends is it terrorism is it not start to figure out what are they going to say, second thing that you find out is that heave hayes reports this morning Weekly Standard out of his report in the morning, usually this president also a gets intel briefing we know president obama doesnt like to do those necessarily in person all the time on the morning after terrorist attack, in when daily brief in that brief says terrorist attack the president decides plot to to have in person intel briefing jack lew chief of staff hands a briefing paper apparently right before they go to las vegas they head out of town, and never seen. We remember that weekend when so many the state departments will certainly susan rice blaming a video. Yep. We know that the the terrorist attack happened it was september 11. Yep. So there was initially cia you are analyst i think reflected in the report as well, your first thinking oh, my gosh a thing in cairo violent previous to video came out there is connecting is it. With that september 11 we have thing in libya, almost spontaneous that night they know a preplanned attack we know Hillary Clinton from emails sent email to chelsea saying there was a terrorist attack last night yet, still, from a communications standpoint they felt like they had to figure out some way, to prevent themselves from looking like they didnt have eyes on ball to protect assets that we had meaning people in the region. Can we come back the point you just made seems critically important to me president we spend so much time talking about hills role in this what about the president what have we learned about what the president was and wasnt doing from this report, i mean it sounds like he was out to lunch. Well feels to me probably mot i worked at white house terrorism front and center may be people thought we focused too much on it i dont think you can focus too much on it glob war on terror you always think about not that you dont make mistakes along the away i think president obama probable thought i yooifth people to handle this i will let the people that i have entrusted to do jobs handle it so he wasnt all that interested seems to me i dont know if out to lunch or thinking i am sure theyve got a handle onitive got election to win two months before his reelection, effort, about november. Maria or a narrative that i want to tell, and that is a narrative i want to tell that is it ahead might have election. The more and that drove everything that drove the entire reaction. I try to before i to benefit of the doubt i dont think they intentionally want to hurt people other point i mentioned there is a teleconference call between 7 15 pm and 9 15 people if you have seen at the movie 13 hours or read book eyewitness account trying to protect the cia staffers stuck in benghazi, they are sitting there waiting because they think surely assets are coming sation, for two oming during hours, there is never a discussion of sending any assets towards libya. Wow , talk about your book good news is advice from bright shied what are lessons. What i tried to do in this book was peel back curtain what it is like to work in white house. Under george bush. I was first republican woman to be press secretary. I was, i was right after 9 11, joined Justice Department i was a junior birdman as i call miles spokesperson one of the lessons i learned 101 was to say no comment very useful for a while then i then better than lying. No comment eventually, in 2002 i made it to white house then to deputy press second moved up to press secretary i tried to peel back curtain what it was like to work behind scenes some of the lessons i provide what is life from a followers perspective a lot of books about leadership how be like me i try to say this is what he motivated me to get up 4 00 in the morning every day one in particular i think might be interesting for your audience i dont think in business, leaders think enough about the lesson of forgiveness how important it is us there is a scene in the book where he encourages me to forgive a former colleague i did it made my life better i was able to move on. Thank you so much, congratulations on the book. I think. We will be right back. Im just a guy who wants to buy that truck. And im just a guy who wants to sell him that truck. So i used truecar. It told me what other people in the area paid for the truck i want. And because were a truecar certified dealership, i already know the truck he wants. So were on the same page before he even gets here. Its fair. And its fast. Look good . Looks great. This is how car buying was always meant to be. This is truecar. Draghi said european send tall banks should align their economies more closely but did not mention the british vote. Dow jones industrial average is poised to open up better than 200 points. Were awaiting on gdp report. The expectations call for the gdp, that is the final revision to be 1. 1 is . Numbers just crossing, 1. 1 , is the gdp. Up 1. 1 just crossing the tape right now. That is fractionally better than expectations. In europe financial sectors leading the gains. Money moving to the stock with the ft 100 up almost 3 . Ditto for the dax index up almost 3 . Were seeing strength in the british pound against the dollar. This is coming off the worst twoday route in decades. Yesterday the british pound at a 31year low. Asia, markets mostly higher. Fractional moves. You see the tone was firmer. Hillary clinton and donald trump set to unveil new policy proposals on jobs and trade. Britons one of the United States largest trading partners and ripple effects to leave the European Union could linger until a trade deal between the u. S. And uk could endure. My next guest believe the problem extends beyond the british exskit. Senator mark warner joins us on the program. Thank you for joining us. Good morning, maria. Maria what are the issues surrounding britains exit from the eu from your standpoint . Were seeing calming in the market. I believe they will move quicker than the twoyear period. There will be dislocation from the United States, probably strengthening of the dollar, unfortunately will hurt us a little bit on exports. As somebody who has been a strong proponent of trade and ppp, well tpp, well need a breath. Trade there are a lot of winners and some areas get dislocated. If we add a trillion dollars to the economy with Something Like tpp we need to do more for workers and communities that are dislocatedded. To get the political will to get this kind of trade policy advanced. Maria like what . What are specific practical things you would like to take america out of the back seat given weve seen america disadvantaged in some trade deals . I think the data may say otherwise. The data as we saw in brexit, all the experts in the world if you have got a community where single employer shut down and people are put out of work. Let me give you three specific things. I believe with this much value, trade assistance act less than 1 of the value of increased trade going to displaced workers, it needs to be reimagined in a way much more forward leaning, training people for jobs that actually exist. Secondly winners in trade, communities like the manufacturing community, and tech community, we need to incent those companies to locate jobs and supply chain jobs into communities that have been dislocated. Three, might give us a chance to revisit a major infrastructure investment. Put people back to work. As somebody who is protrade, a lot of us on both sides of the aisle we need to recognize this should be a wakeup call those communities are left behind. Senator warner, sounds like youre saying donald trump has a point when he goes after the establishment the way it did trade deals . While trade might be a good thing youre saying a lot of americans were left behind. Do you think trump has a point, that we havent managed the whole opening of trade properly as a country . I think what you hear from trump with his kind of approach postbrexit where he says, hey, it will be good for his is about, this seems to be a common theme. He clearly is playing on some anger out there. You have secretary clinton also against the current tpp the big thing is the benefits of trade disproportionately fall in metropolitan areas, disproportionally fall norfolks that have done warner. Communities that get hurt, small town communities, rural communities. Many ways look at vote in brexit, those communities in england that have been left behind clearly all on leave. Place like london that benefited from globalization and trade, clearly with remain. I think we need we need that equation here in the United States. Maria to be clear i dont think trump said brexit is good for his business. He said it will help his pound going down. He said the pound going down, respectfully he said the pound going down will help his golf course that says all about trump. All about himself. It is theme he said. Senator to be clear though he was stating fact. A weaker pound is going to decrease the cost of their goods and services that they export. Historically that have you ever seen, have you ever seen a National Political candidate in the aftermath after major event first, one of the first things out of his mouth how it would personal holding. I never seen a lot of things in this election. I never seen sitting president of the United States endorse somebody under fbi investigation. Listen, im, what we are saying here, visavis n mr. Trump, with his business record, i was a business guy much lononger than politics. This is not successful business guy. Somebody who leads bankruptcies and doesnt deal fairly with investors. Im not sure where we want to head today, but im happy to take on the covers. Maria youre right. I feel like always important bankruptcies are legal process. But we got the final read on First Quarter gdp in this country and it is a dismal 1. 1 growth in the First Quarter of this country saw. There is something resonating obviously with the American People, with donald trump being a businessman and that is what he is saying, he will improve the economy first and foremost. Things are not good right now. And that is what this election will come down to. And youre right. And the challenges weve got to do better. I think part of that means how do we make sure Everybody Wins from a globalized economy. That netnet adds value. Look as well as what mr. Trump put forward. He put forward a economic plan right now, committee for responsible federal budget, wellrespected entity. Adds 11 trillion from the debt and deficit. Blames both sides. We have to take on entitlement reform and tax reform, his economic plan would be a disaster for our country. Maria what about Hillary Clintons economic plan being more of the same. Take again, you can getcriticize the referee, committee for responsible federal budget pretty clear on calling balls and strikes. They said trump adds maria im talking about hillarys plan. Let me finish my sentence, and i will get to hillarys add to the debt. Hillary less than a trillion. Hes 11 trillion. We need to do more on both sides. I advocated simpsonbowles and i have taken arrows from both sides. Balance sheet must be addressed. Have you talked to anyone in the Hillary Campaign about vicepresident ial nomination yourself. No. Im strongly in s kaine, my fellow senator from virginia. I think he would be a great choice. Maria what about the deposition, huma abedin, key aidaide to Hillary Clinton are you expecting her to take the fifth. Candidly i have no slightest idea what the individual is going to do. Im focused on my day job, to get points on the board in irrelevant it of what congress should be doing. Senator, dana perino. Curious, do you think a vote on it. Pp before the ind. Year, not before the election but before the clock turns over to 2017 . I hope so when you have both candidates against and i think it is a time i support it. Pp it is a time to have a time out to acknowledge those communities losers in trade we need to do more. Whether reimagined taa. Whether in the for companies and winners to invest in communities that are left behind, strong trade enforcement. This is the right thing to do. If we dont take a message from the brexit vote and rising concerns in this country i think we do so at our own peril. Isnt that shutting get after horses have left to reimagine tpp right now . Millions of americans have already been hurd by it . I seen that in my own state where we saw tex time jobs shut down. I do believe, 40 world asia including in tpp i would much rather have american set of rules than china dominate the region. Maria that is a good point. Senator, we appreciate your time. Thank you. Maria britains exit vote sending the british pound to lows not seen in 30 years, making it cheaper for americans to travel abroad. Though this has effect for consumers what does it affect for trap companies. We have the founder of priceline. Com and a founder of new company, upside. Jaywalker. Happy to be here, maria. Maria im happy to see you here. Youve been churning out innovation after innovation whether travel or health care. Congratulations again. I started three companies from scratch with 50 million customers. I had my share of failures. We i think know a little bit about consumer markets. Maria i say. Your new company is upside. It is aimed at Business Travelers. Right. Maria take us through the premise and business model. Because youre giving customers gift cards. Essentially Business Travelers, maria, have an asset, a hidden asset that is giant they dont even know they have got. That is their little bit of flexibility on flight and hotels they take on the business trip. That asset, that upside we convert into 100 or 200 into free gift cards for you and 15 savings for your company. The idea youre willing to leave 15 minutes earlier on your flight or come back ten minutes after or stay at a hotel that is five minute uber ride from the convention center, turns out flexibility, even small amounts on Business Travel is worth a fortune. Maria companies will be apt to do this because they want to save money. There isnt a Company Alive that doesnt want to control business costs. We focus on upside and mid side companies. That dont have deals with hotels and airlines. You go to upside, you find out what your flexibility is worth. You dont have to by but dont i know what your flexibility is worth. Maria why smaller and Midcap Companies . The big guys negotiate bulge deals. Small business guys have no deals. Paying 3, 400 a night for hotel room. That isocoria crazy. To do partnerships with all the companies where you get the gift cards . The great part is Companies Sell us gift cards. That is the not problem. The key is flexibility. Most Business Travelers are not willing to realize how they are flexible. We built an engine on upside. Com, instead of looking at long lists of flights and holes t. We ask you simple questions. Willing to stay five minutes away. Willing to stay 7 minutes away . Willing to stay in threestar hotel. Turns outgoing from 3 1 2 to three star hotel is could worth 500. Started three businesses with 50 million customers. 50 million customers. There are 30 million Business Travelers just in the United States who spend 300 billion a year. Travel is one of the largest discretionary costs. It is Like Health Care only it is discretionary. Businesses are constantly looking more how do i save money. Upside shows them exactly how to do it. Maria do you see this translating to other industries . Youve been innovator huge in health care, i know that. Could this also make its way over to health care . Absolutely. Flexibility is the last frontier in monetizaton of things that we dont currently monetize. If youre willing to go five minutes more for xray or eight minutes more to get proper from quality doctor, would you do it . Depends. Show me what the flexibility is worth. I will modify my behavior. Maria wow. True in many every industry where consumers have a choice. With big data engines you start to build civiles that show people instantaneously what their flexibility is. Maria how does this compare to your other great info station . That was really Consumer Travel market and that is priceline. Com. Priceline about flexibility in different way. We launched priceline, you had to be flexible on any Airline Hotel anytime of the day. We took some of the lessons to priceline and brought them to Business Travel space. You know exactly what youre buying on upside. You see trips and hotels in advance. Because youre flexible, you can save hundreds of dollars and give most of the money to you and your company. Maria how has travel changed over last couple yrs . Ou sdiedusins ong theottraverwho doesnt look at smartphone . Is there person who doesnt get online when there is change or go on line and change the information . It has been completely revolutionized. Used to be all the knowledge was on the travel agents hands. Now all the knowledge is on the web. Travel agents do a great job interpreting that knowledge. Big data does work more and more of thinking for you about choices you want. I got to tell you travel is ripe for change. Especially Business Travel where there is enormous amounts of money. Maria i can see it is ripe for ly the smartphone changed everything. It actually changed everything. When you add big data you take terabytes of information every minute from system, reformat them and show them on your phone at upside, want to make the one small change . I will give you 80 if you do this. Want to do this one change . I give you 150. Sometimes they buy you off the plane when theyre oversold. In the future they will pay you before you even get on to switch planes. Maria that makes a lot of sense. Jay, cop gratlations. Company is upside. Chairman and ceo, jaywalker. Glad to be here. Maria quick final thoughts, sandra smith. Im watching markets. One day doesnt make a trend. This doesnt mean markets stablize interesting, futures up 100 points at open. Maria that is interesting point, up 200 points. Nothing has changed we got gdp out. My message sky is not falling. We dont have great Economic Growth. Not as bad as a few months ago. Stocks having couple bad days. Theyre up from a few months ago. This is muddling through economy. Were muddle didding, were not crashing. Maria calmer heads prevail.
