Vets. Lieutenant general tom and defense democracy founder will analyze the president s shifting afghanistan strategy. And, yes, it has been a year now since we first broke open the epipen pricegouging scandal. Remember that . The woman known as Food Allergies. Robin obrien, shell be here to tell us whats changed and if kids with severe Food Allergies are still paying through the nose for their lifesaving medication. On wall street, tech a market rally with the dow, s p 500, and nasdaq all seeing significant moves to the upside. Check that out. We are less than an hour now to the closing bell. Im Ashley Webster in for liz claman. Lets start the countdown. Ashley let me adjust the bulk on my seat because stocks are heading higher for all three major embassies on track for the percentage gains in more than a week. Stocks, that is, surging to session highs as soon as press secretary Rex Tillerson began taking or talking a little after 2 00 p. M. Eastern during the state Department Briefing where he issued a stark warning to taliban and taliban. Defense stocks high after tillersons comments and also on the heels of President Trumps saying that he intends to step up the fight against the extremists and Taliban Forces in afghanistan. Boeing saying they were awarded u. S. Air force contracts to replace the aging minuteman missiles. And after seven years at the helm, chevron ceo john watson is stepping down. Wall street journal reporting this is all part of the companys plan to shake up the leadership in the what is called the rapidlychanging energy world. The leading candidate to replace watson is michael worth, a refining specialist at chevron. Shares are the second Largest Oil Company in the u. S. , as you can see higher on that news. All right. About a to afghanistan. Just in the last hour, during the state Department Briefing, secretary of state Rex Tillerson praising President Trumps speech and afghanistan policy outline. Secretary tillerson says he believes that the u. S. Will be able to turn the tide in afghanistan with a new approach. But he was very frank, admitting we may not see a battlefield victory against the taliban. But diplomacy will be the key. For this entire effort is intended to put pressure on the taliban to have the taliban understand you will not win a battlefield victory. We may not win one, but neither will you. So at some point, we have to come to the negotiating table and find a way to bring this to an end. Ashley so heres the question. Can we turn a tide in afghanistan under the president s new policy . And does he have support of the country . Certainly his generals. Lets bring in our panel of experts. Fox News Lieutenant general specialist and democracy founder president. Thank you for being here, general. Let me get to you first. Whats your initial reaction of what is being outlined as what is being called a new strategy towards afghanistan . Well, i hope it works, ashley. But hope is not a strategy. The fact is unless we go after pakistan and ruthlessly dig out the taliban there, then its not going to work. Im very skeptical that the taliban are going to negotiate, and i think the only way you can do it is President Trump said yesterday is kill them. And if we go at it aggressively that way, i think we have a chance. If we dont, we dont have a chance. Ashley interesting. Cliff, whats your reaction to that . My eyes did raise a little bit, my eyebrows, hey, we have to get the taliban to the negotiating table. Even if they come, we have to trust what they say; right . I think thats right. Look, i think there are a couple of things that are new and interesting here. One, i think its quite correct that we have to be much rougher on pakistan. Right now, pakistan is providing safe havens for taliban and for alqaeda. That means when our military chases the bad guys, they get to the border between afghanistan and pakistan. They essentially turn around and go home. Thats like the state Police Chasing bonnie and clyde and stopping at the state line and turning around and going home. You cant do it that way. You have to go to them and wipe wherever they hide. Thats absolutely necessary. I think that is going to be part of the newer strategy that President Trump outlined last night. Its also important to have better rules of engagement. Soldiers cant be calling their lawyers every time they have a gun pointing at their head. I think its also very important that the president said we cant surge. We are going to do something thats necessary, and that is were going to defeat the taliban and kill a lot of them. And its the reverent that will come back possibly and negotiate. Diplomacy, economic warfare, we have to cut off the funds for taliban and alqaeda. Weve never done that. And all American Power working together, we can have a better outcome. A great outcome, but at least we dont lose to the taliban and alqaeda after more than 16 years of battle. Ashley and that leads me to my next question to the general. Is this winnable . And in your mind, general, what does a win look like in this part of the world whose past history as we know is very checkered and difficult to gain any traction there that is long lasting. Great question, ashley. When is probably a stalemate in which we neutralize o or take most of the taliban out. And that can be done. We just have to use the intelligence that we have and Cross Border Authority and a whole host of things. But we have to diminish and make sure that they do not want to fight. Now, theres so much money going in aid that theres an awful lot of corruption. We shouldnt get it to be a jeffersonian democracy. But we can neutralize, i believe, the taliban with very aggressive using our Intelligence Surveillance and reconnaissance assets, our air power, as was just said, taking the rules of engagement and really liberalizing them and let the war fighters going after them aggressively. Ashley let me follow up real quickly with cliff. What kind of leverage do we have that they will tow the line and not be this sanctuary for would be terrorists and current terrorists . Well, we have a lot of leverage that we havent used yet. For one thing, we can make it very clear that while we respect their sovereignty, were not going to let them give save haven to those who are trying to kill us and kill our soldiers in afghanistan. That can episode. Second, we can use economic levers. We can give them aid. There are a lot of people in Pakistan Government in the isi, the intelligence services, they have money in various places. We can begin to impose sanctions on them directly and make them feel the pain if they continue to be what they are now. An unreliable ally or a frenemy, essentially. They have to decide that theyre going to be with us to rule out taliban and alqaeda. And we have to look at the consequences of what would happen to pakistan if we were to bug out, let the taliban and alqaeda take over in afghanistan. Imagine what happens then in pakistan, which has Nuclear Weapons and some very radical people in it. Ashley good point. We are already out of time. But thank you so much. Thank you, both, for joining us today to talk about the on going in afghanistan. Appreciate it. Thank you. Ashley thank you, guys. President trump taking over prime time begin tonight. The operator in chief heading to arizona before heading to phoenix set for a rally at 10 00 p. M. Eastern time. Now, fox business, of course, will be bringing you that event live from the grand canyon state. The center of some of the biggest battles of immigration and Border Control and the potential gop that cant impact the Republican Party at large. Lots at stake for sure. Jeff flock is live on the ground among the trump faithful, as well as protesters, im sure who plan to make their voices be loud and clear. Of course, its only midday. I was going to say its early here in arizona. But you see, perhaps, that this is a test, ashley, of the president s base i think so far passing the test maybe we cross the street and see all the folks lined up. These are all the trump folks going to the rally. In fact, theyve got a voted registration boothet up. To register new republican voters, presumably trump voters, and this is a group. They have been waiting here since long before i got here, as you can see. The base still strong. Ive even got a thats a democrats for trump. Are you a democrat . I used to be a democrat. Now im republican. They left you. You didnt leave them . I left them. Yeah, because they left me. I hear that. Appreciate it. Thanks so much. Big crowd, as you can see. But we expect, and we havent seen any evidence of it yet. Counter protesters by the thousands, they say, about ten different groups planning to protest as well. You know, the president or the mayor of phoenix, the president or the mayor, i should say of phoenix, gregg stanton, democrat has credentialed the president not to put this rally away but to put it off. But he said, and i quote him yet from a press conference, he said that today is going to be a very trying day for Law Enforcement as they try to keep everybody safe. He says, though, theyre going to keep protesters and supporters of the president with a buffer zone between them so we dont have any activity like perhaps in charlottesville. And he said i quote him again now. He said that i fear the president is looking to light a match after dousing the racial tensions in this country with gasoline. Well see if that happens. Were certainly hopeful not. All the folks that i talked to here, ashley, are here to peacefully support their president , and they want to make it very clear, as you see, we have democrats, as you saw. We have republicans, we have black folks, we have white folks. Its quite a mix on the streets of arizona at the convention center. Ashley jeff, thank you very much. Just after midday, i was looking up the temperature in phoenix. 102, according to weather channel. But, you know, thats still pretty decent. Its actually quite comfortable. Its a dry heat. Dry heat. Ashley yes, a dry heat. I used to live in arizona. When its 118, its hot. Anyway, jeff flock, thank you so much. The dow certainly at session highs or right around there. Up 191 points. The dow 21,896. Not a bad day for the markets. By the way, its been one year now since we first exposed the price gouging scandal jacking up the price by 600 . Kids with allergies are still getting stuck with those big bills. Plus, two of wall streets most respected phones saying the bull run has legs. There it goes. Get out of the way. Morgan stanley telling its clients to buy on the dip. Adding the bull market checklist to remain intact. Carry on. So does the market have those legs . Or are we just being a little too optimistic . Well, lets get right to the floor show. Weve got traders as always in the New York Stock Exchange and the cme group. Lets again with teddy, whos probably parked his big motor boat at the south seaport just to run in and talk to us, which im always grateful for, teddy. So where does it all go from here . Why the big jump today . Its not because President Trump used a prompter last night, is it . Well, i think its a combination of things. But it is as you point out interesting. Last week we looked like we were on our way to zero, and here we are. We havent quite recovered everything we gave back last week, but certainly were twothirds of the way home. I think its the prospect once again of some tax relief from washington, certainly goldmans comment to morgan sustainables comments dont hurt. And then overnight there was a story about the norwegian wealth fund, which is the largest in the world. Almost a trillion dollars. That said, theyre going to up their exposure from equities from 60 to 70 , which equals about 100 billion. So, you know, you add it all together and perhaps we caught the shorts not looking, and here we are up almost 200 points. Ashley the little talked about norwegian effect. Larry over at the cme. Larry, so does that mean were still generally bullish when we do see a bit of a dip. Is that the time to buy North Carolina mind . Ive taken the stand to underweight the u. S. I do believe that Global Growth is driving this market right now. And at some point, the president ial noise that were hearing every day is going to affect policy. I think were long in the tooth or closer to the end of a cycle than the beginning. It doesnt mean im bearish. It just means i think theres value outside the u. S. Europe and the emerging markets. So it has to be really big. We have to go back to the prenovember levels in the s p 500 down around 2,100 to make the market a buy to me. Ashley good points in there, larry. Were seeing the Global Economy you like improving in places we havent for a long time. Japan and italy to name a few. Lets get to phil flynn. Phil, is this as the World Economy improves, is this positive for oil prices and as much theyll move up because of demand . You would think so, wouldnt you . I mean, at some point you have this disconnect from the stock market and the commodities, you know . Somethings got to give. A little reverse into the mean. And we are seeing better than expected demand all over the globe. Not only here in the United States, in europe, in china, in india, you name it. And i think thats going to be the story. Too many times this year the focus has been supply, supply, supply, well, supplies have been dwindling lately. I think next year is the year were talking about demand, demand, demand. Ashley gentlemen, thank you so much. Teddy and phil, thank you so much. Teddy can jump back on his boat and head over to barbados. Cisco, boeing, apple leading the dow 30. Showing a dramatic increase of severe Food Allergies like peanuts on the one Year Anniversary of the epipen scandal. You remember that. Well, find out if theres been any relief for kids that depend on this lifesaving drug. Robin obrien, shell be making a return appearance on countdown when we come back potsch you each drive a ford pickup, right . in unison russ, leland, gary yes. Gary i have a ford f150. Michael ive always been a ford guy. Potsch then i have a real treat for you today. Michael awesome. Potsch im going to show you a next generation pickup. Michael lets do this. Potsch this new truck now has a cornerstep built right into the bumper. Gary super cool. Potsch the bed is made of highstrength steel, which is less susceptible to punctures than aluminum. Jim aluminum is great for a lot of things, but maybe not the bed of a truck. Potsch and best of all, this new truck is actually gary all laughing oh my. Potsch the current chevy silverado. Gary im speechless. Gary this puts my ford truck to shame. James ill tell you, i might be a chevy guy now. laughing ashley well, remember this company . A little over a year ago, Mylan Pharmaceuticals came under fire after making the decision to skyrocket their lifesaving epipens over 600 . Many had to go without receiving the lifesaving drug. Both mylan chairman and ceo receiving a payout of 100 million last year. But if you thought this whole controversy was over because mylan actually finalized the 465 million settlement with the u. S. Justice department, think again. A new report out shows that the rates of severe allergic reactions to foods just like peanuts has increased by nearly five times over just the past decade. Now, that according to a new analysis of private insurance claims. Food allergy watch dog robin obrien joins us now from denver, colorado. Robin, i guess the first question i have for you. Of course of course, we remember very well the outrage over the massive price increase on epipens. Where do we stand today . Is it priced more reasonably . You know, a lot has changed over the last 12 months. We saw the gate hit hard and fast. Mylan produced a generic and the justice department. Return to market at valentines day of this year. So we see new competitors in the marketplace, and that has definitely helped the consumer. Its going to help continue to bring the price down. We had a congressional hearing in the fall of last year in response to the epipen. And as you mentioned, there was outrage over the pay of the executives much like wells fargo and the shareholders revolted as well calling for investors to address that as well. So there are has been a lot that has changed but honestly, we just finished the first chapter. Theres so much more to this story. And the report thats out thats, again, highlighting the skyrocketing rates of Food Allergies in the United States with these insurance claims. 26 of those claims are related to peanut allergies. But 33 are related to food in general. And so what has changed in our food supply . Ashley thats all key question, isnt it . Why has this exploded over the last ten years . Over the last ten years. And, again, you know, when you look at that report, it wasnt just children that were filing for those insurance claims. 34 of the filings were adults. So what has changed . Are we allergic to food . Or are we allergic to what has been done to it . And this has become an epidemic in our country. Its impacting us at every single level. Its impacting schools, impacting communities, its impacting us at every level. Ashley has a reason been given, robin . We know this was done based on the analysis for insurance claims. But you mention the way our food is made, the way it is processed and all of that. Do you have any clues at this point as to why allergies are skyrocketing . Well, i think whats interesting in this report that was just released that 1 of the allergic reactions were attrittable to food additives. So, again, are we allergic to food . Are we allergic to what has been done to it . Whats been added to it, how its being processed . Theres so much more that needs to be done, which, again, is why we only completed the first chapter of this book, and i think what we need to do is to continue to bring the prices down of these pharmaceutical drugs that are being used to protect the lyes of americans around the country. And its not just children anymore. Were seeing this epidemic reach across all age groups, all demographics, all ethnicities. Ashley i wanted to get back to mylan again if i can because i believe the amount was 465 million settlement with the justice department, basically that was involving the overcharging to medicaid or of medicaid. Was that enough action do you think taken by against mylan for what they did . I think if you were to ask any family who was part of the price gouging that mylan participated in, they would tell you its not enough. Because families arent seeing any rebate. They arent seeing any recourse. They are not seeing any refund for the incredible overcharging that mylan did over the last several years. This isnt just over the last year. This has been going on for a very long time. And when you consider how many millions of americans now are struggling with Food Allergies, how that is impacting absolutely every industry, including the airlines. This is an epidemic that has to be addressed. And i think 465 million for a company that has 11 billion in annual revenue is not enough. So what were seeing in response are consumers that are beginning to file these lawsuits against this corporation. Theyre headquartered in the netherlands because of that tax conversion we discussed before. But this is not going to stop. And the reason its not going to stop is because of that report yesterday. We are seeing skyrocketing numbers of americans that are now suffering from these lifethreatening foodallergic reactions, and it has to be addressed. Ashley well, in that mind, do you have President Trump with what he calls price gouging with big pharmaceutical companies. If you could speak to him face to face, what would you tell him . I would tell him that the future of our country is janet on the health of our children. The economic strength of our country is janet on the productivity, and this is something that we have to address that we cant address together, and i would invite any american to participate put aside Party Politics so that we can really address the future of our country. Ashley robin, thank you so much as always. Its hard to believe that it has been a year since the epipen scandal. Thank you so much. Appreciate it. Lets check the markets for you that have been on a tear today. The dow up 191 points at 21896. The s p up 1 , the nasdaq up one and a third percent at almost 6300. All right. Up next, the president promising to work with tech ceos to cut red tape to make government work better and work more efficiently. What an idea. Now the white house work is showing perhaps fruits of all of its labor. Weve got a Silicon ValleySuccess Story and a fox business exclusive. And the Senate Majority leader says theres 0 chance that Congress Wont take the debt ceiling. But say anything about avoiding a government shut down to do it. Former president ial candidate and forbes media chairman steve forbes tells us if congress can avoid it and if tax reform is likely or not. Countdown is coming right back ashley well, the president on his way to arizona, hell be heading to phoenix. We got this tweet from the president saying well pray for our Fallen Heroes who died aboard the uss john mccain. Hell be talking to marines at a marine base there in yuma. I know because i used to live there. Very hot this time of year, so hopefully hell stay in the shade. Stop the clock because has t minus 1 working days left. Among democrats and republicans share frustration regarding President Trumps stalled economic agenda. Senate republicans are still not onboard and question is are we facing a looming government shut down if congress cannot agree . And what needs to happen to get this president s agenda finally moving forward . Steve forbes whos smiling next to me is the chairman of forbes media and president ial candidate, of course, and he joins us now for his take on all of this. Based on what weve seen up to now, steve. I mean, the likelihood of anything they cant agree on the time of day. Well, it starts with this words he used. 12 working days. Ashley right . In a normal world, its about 30 or twice that. So theyve got to just bulk down and get the thing done. One of the good things about the president s address last night, it restores his authority in a very convincing way. Plus, i think the republicans at least in the house are recognizing what Samuel Johnson said about 200 years ago the prospect of the hanging focus mind wonderfully. The prospect has these guys attention. So they will pass a tax bill. The house will apass a tax bill. Ashley when . Probably late september, midoctober. Ashley you are optimistic. But the key thing is the senate. Can the senate get it done . And the other key is they dont wimp out to the Congressional Budget Office and pass, you know mcconnell leaves the senate comes from kentucky. He should know the difference between weak tea. It gives a kick to the economy right away, gives people big refunds in april, so you get the investment going, the spending going, voila, things get better. Ashley here we are we have the budget deadline, the debt ceiling deadline, health care, tax reform, all this other things. Do you really see that being accomplished in just 12 days . I think on the debt ceiling and things like that ashley will they go to midnight, as they always do . Its not going to be like six years ago where they nearly let the government default. They will pass something. I think the big thing they have to focus on more than anything else is the tax bill. Health care will come later. If they dont get the big tax bill, everything is off the table. Ashley the president will be holding this rally in arizona. Im wondering if tax reform and really starting to barn storm his way across the country to sell it i believe is very important. Your thoughts. If they come to an agreement. And i think if they pass something or come to an agreement between the house senate and the white house next month, hell do what Ronald Reagan did over 30 years to get his tax bill through. You create heat on capitol hill. Heat on public opinion. Soboles in taxes, not going to be like health care. The white house took a hands off attitude. This time hes going to be involved. Especially if the house gets a good bill through. The president going to say senate, get it done, why are your senators heres their email . Go to work. But i want to know is this individual tax cuts you think well get through . Or just talking about Corporate Tax cut. Do we get 15 . Or do we settle for 20 . Theyre talking now 25, some of these. Ashley oh, no. But i think theyll go for 15. And on the individual side if they cant do a big reform, across the board 10 or 15 . Plus, double everyones exemptions, so everyone sees it. Ashley any democrats onboard with that . No. Theyre going to have to lose a election or two before they realize the truth. Like when Ronald Reagan took 49 of 50 states over the pro tax raising democrat. Then the democrat said, hey, maybe we should get onboard. Got a great tax bill two years later on reagans term. I think youre going to see the same thing with trump. They have to lose once or twice more to see the light on taxes. Ashley has President Trump lost the support of Business Leaders . I see daily almost a comment, a snidey comment here. Drawing a comparison between the shadow across the earth yesterday from the Solar Eclipse and the shadow of President Trump. I mean, you know, is he losing support of the big industry leaders, the Business Leaders . They may feel they have to distance themselves from them for a variety of reasons. But by golly, 15 tax rate and all is forgiven. Ashley well, you know, listen, its almost like we push a reset button. The president goes to camp david, he gets a new policy on afghanistan. Steve bannon is now out of the white house. Does that help things . Does that uncomplicate for want of a better word . Does it make easier for everyone to get on the same page . No. I think the key thing is what the president decides to do, and he finally made it after a long consultation makes decision and announced last night. Ashley steve bannon was very much focused on chinese trade and getting enough money to pay for the wall. There will still be that. And, by the way, about steve bannon, hell probably talk more about the president since hes outside the white house than when he was inside the white house. Ashley put more pressure on mr. Ryan and mcconnell, i have a feeling. And theyll need it. Ashley they need. Thank you very much. Thank you. Government is finally cutting through the red tape. Music to my ears and embracing the Digital World of e signatures. The federal government announcing that the electronic contract companydocusign is officially a certified federal Technology Provider and is set to change the way Government Agencies are run. Doesnt that sound good . The question is what kinds of changes can you expect to see . Joining us exclusively is docusign ceo dan springer. Dan, so great to have you here. Before we get into what youre doing, can you explain to the viewers exactly how this works . Absolutely. So certification is the process by which the process the federal government determines which vendors they want to allow work across all their agencies. And we went through a process thats over a year long, a lot of vetting, a lot of security testing to determine that we would be the first esignature and Digital TransactionManagement Platform available for Government Agencies. Ashley so how for our viewers who have never used this, how do you do an esignature . So esignature is a fantastic process. It really brings something into the modern digital age. We have over 200 million users of the docusign platform, so quite a few people have, in fact, already used the process in commercial transactions. And now theres an opportunity to use it in our government transactions. From the standpoint the process of the consumer, you receive an email that has a link that you click on, and you approve, you verify who you are, and you approve your signature. Just like you would be able to do in person. Ashley so this takes out a lot of the pain involved with dealing with Government Agencies; right . Now that theyre accepting these e signatures. Yeah, absolutely. Now, government has already been involved. This is the federal government. We already served government from the state of North Carolina to butte county, to the city of san francisco, this is bringing this opportunities and a great Consumer Experience to the federal government as well. Ashley are you the only company. Are you the pioneer in this world . Are you the only company that does this . Ashley we are the pioneer and the creator of the signature and also by far the dramatic leader in the space. We actually have as i said, over 200 Million People have used it and over 300,000 customers, including 12 of the largest 15 banks of the world, 13 of the largest 15 insurance companies. Docusign really is the dominant player in the space. Ashley so, dan, i would imagine the key to this is security. I dont want anyone hacking in and taking my esignature and running wild with it. Im not sure they could do with it, but im sure something no good. And i know that your database of customer email addresses was breached earlier this year. Its a problem worldwide, this hacking. What kind of security do you have in place . Well, security online as you mentioned is a huge issue. And its one of the reasons that the federal government spent so much time doing security background checks before they would certify someone to be able to be in the fed ramp marketplace. We were already pretty comfortable with work we had done for the insurance companies, for the banks to have that level of security. But its a great extra step, as you mentioned, to have now the federal government certify that we have that appropriate level of security. Ashley very quickly. Ipo. Is the public going to be able to buy a stake in your company very soon . Well, we cant make specific comments on the date. But this is a company that will be public because our scale and success and the value that were providing, and we look forward to that happening before too long. Ashley very good. Love it. Dan, thank you very much for joining us. Docusign. Thank you for having me. Ashley all right. The closing bell is ringing in just under nine minutes from now and check out the dow up a sweet 200 points. Ashley closing bell ringing in five minutes. Check this out the dow was high as 209 points moments ago. Lots of green on the screen. Impressive gains for big markets. Handful of retailers hitting a home run today. Down to New York Stock Exchange with Nicole Petallides. Nicole. Thats right, ashley. Looking great on wall street. Best day in four months but take a look at these retailers. Were looking at names such as macys and dfw and kohls. Macys scooped up, poached an executive from ebay, working on their merchandising, cutting 100 jobs, doing restructuring, boosting technology. That is a winner up almost 5 . Dsw is designer shoe warehouse, great samestore sales. First gain in samestore sales since 2015. Kohls is a winner to the upside, they work on a concept which is smaller stores. They will open more of those and ecommerce fill fullment center. Everybody is moving to technology. We look at other athletic makers because last friday foot locker fell 30 . Middle of last week it was 48 bucks. After major selling and some concerns about some of these names. They sold off recently. People are scooping them up today. Foot locker from 48 last week, to 33 bucks. Up arrows for nike and under armour as we go into the closing bell. Ashley. Ashley not often we see retailers as big winners. Nicole, thank you very much. The Solar Eclipse temporarily blocked the sun but as we go forward, there is clear path. Stock market caught fire so to speak after Solar Eclipse, stocks returning average of shiny 17. 2, enough of puns, 17. 2 in 12 months following a Solar Eclipse. I tell you that because it is off to a good start, right. We have fort pitt capital groups, kim forest. Why the big gain do you think . I have no idea, people are going shopping again. I dont mean at macys kohls or dfw. I think investors reconsidered trading over last couple weeks and said things are not really that dour. Ashley they are not that dour. For so long we called it the trump trade, on hopes his growth agenda would be put in place that kind of faded. Is there any renewed hopes we get tax reform, some infrastructure spending, some business deregulation . I think business deregulation is an ongoing effort with the administration and they dont really need the buyin from any other officials. So i mean that is full steam ahead but looking to taxes i think that the Administration Knows that it is something that it needs to address and it is going to try. It looks like that they are gearing up for that movement. Ashley also seems to me the Global Economy picking up. We talked about it early in the show. Japan and italy are showing decent signs of growth. We have the sense that the fed is in rush to raise the Interest Rates because inflation is lagging behind. All of that surely is very positive for the market . It really is. I mean im looking intently, dont worry i will not get too numbery here. Ashley good. Im looking at inflation because that is a key driver for the fed. The fed told everyone it can accept this low rate of inflation. How theyre accepting it by not raising rates. So that is really worked out well for investors and that might be another people why people are returning to the market today. Ashley okay, kim, what stocks do you like and why . Well i always love tech because it is the thing that gives you product tivity. So two tech names that probably arent at top of your list, one is western digital. That is wdc. And they are the maker of hard disk drives but they bought sandisk, so theyre going away from oldfashioned hard disk drives, to newfangled, not spinning, memory stick drives. We like them and. And we like intel. It has tremendous r d. It is really overlooked. People think of them as a pc company and we dont. We think of them as far more than that. Ashley i have got literally 10 seconds, which areas are you avoiding . Is there one particular sector you dont like . Energy. There is a lot of in around the world. Lets not swim there. Ashley there is a lot of crude. Were swimming in it. The dow up 193 points as we head toward the finishing tape. The s p and nasdaq rallied nice today. As Nicole Petallides pointed out retailers doing very well as well. Here we go. Closing bell is straight ahead. Dave as man and Melissa Francis as they clap and smile. After the bell. [closing bell rings] melissa rally on wall street. The dow ending near session highs after secretary of state Rex Tillerson details President Trumps new strategy in afghanistan. All major averages are ending the day firmly in the green. Im Melissa Francis. David it is a happy tuesday. Im david asman. Were glad you could join us this is after the bell. More on big Market Movers but heres what else were covering for you in this very busy hour. Its 104 degrees in phoenix right now where folks are gathering patiently by the thousands for a rally by the president later tonight.
