Of a trump turn around . A new cbs poll today showing trump leading senator ted cruz by 13 points nationally while a monmouth poll shows him with a 24point lead over the texas senator in pennsylvania. This as cruz turns his attention away from new york and the primary here where he is trailing to take his case national. Appearing on the tonight show with jimmy fallon this evening. Well discuss the change in cruzs tactics with Cruz National spokesman whos here live. Meanwhile, the democrats are prepping for tonights big debate. Hillary clinton spent the day away from the cameras preparing for the big night in brooklyn, but senator Bernie Sanders did just the op to to sit. He took his turn addressing the National Action Network Convention blasting hillary for taking money from the big banks. How sanders can turn his momentum into actual votes in new york. And dow 18,000 this our sights. Dow jones industrial average just about 80 points away from hitting that level. Were at 17,930. Yes, its a psychologically important number, but were watching it. Were less than an hour to the closing bell, lets start the countdown. Liz and this breaking news, april is off the table due to this guy on your screen. That according to atlanta fed president Dennis Lockhart speaking at a cfa symposium in chicago. He ripped out the proverbial rug saying he no longer thinks an april rate hike is appropriate, but he still thinks june is a viable option, even took it a step further telling bloomberg there is room for the fed to hike two, maybe even three more times this year. But the markets which were seeing muted trade before lockharts little statement there are moving higher now, up about 21 points. Not even the highs of the session, but the s p is better by just about one and a half points, the nasdaq up by two. Im going to say this is not really aggressive trading. Still pretty muted. Mcdonalds is a dow component and not loving it. It may be higher on the stock charts, but protesters across the country are joining the fight for 15, targeting the Worlds Largest burger chain, mcdonalds, asking them youve got to pay your workers 15 an hour. The protesters are being joined by verizon workers as well as health care and educational professionals. We have shares of mcd which has hit alltime high after alltime high this just the past couple of weeks moving higher once again to 127. 43. To politics and how the tide has turned. What started off to be a cloudy month, thats how you could categorize it for the Trump Campaign, following his loss in the wisconsin primary, now seeing sunshine ahead of new yorks primary next tuesday. A florida prosecutor deciding not to prosecute Donald Trumps campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, for battery after a march runin with former reporter michelle fields. The decision comes as trump leads his republican rivals by double digits on his home turf of new york. Meanwhile, Debbie Wasserman schultz had some pretty harsh words for the republican frontrunner, telling fox business blake burman that she believes democrats, quote, have an excellent chance to take back the u. S. Senate from republican control in part thanks to what she believes will be an explosive, quote, divisive Republican National convention. Blake joins us live from fox business headquarters in new york. Good to have you here. Reporter good to be here. Liz she said democrats are ready to gain from the circus. Reporter yeah, thats right. We caught her yesterday at her office in washington d. C. Some of the pundits have started to move some of the down ballot races, those in the house and senate, a little bit more to the left. This is being viewed as the potential trumpcruz effect, the impact that either of those two could reach the top of the ticket. The dnc chairwoman told me they have been building up their Opposition Research folders against those two, and she had some very choice words for donald trump. Take a listen here. I mean, when youre potentially going to have one of the two choices for president of the United States be a misogynystic, vitriolic bigot who will not only bring the country down a path be of unconstitutional, wildly unacceptable policies, but also decimate our position in the world as a, you know, diplomatic leader that can bring nations together, thats a terrible prospect for the country. Reporter democrats feel as many as 60 congressional seats are now in play. They only are to win 30 to flip the house. The key quote there is in play. A spokesman for the National Republican Senatorial Committee told me no chance that happens. Republican organizers say Hillary Clinton hearse as the potential herself as the potential nominee for the democrats will bring about her own down ballot problems. She is a drag with, you know, independents, with whatever group of voters. I mean, thats going to make life tough for them. Reporter bottom line here, liz, seven more months to go until we get to november. Still a lot to shake out here at the top, down below, in between. But democrats are feeling pretty good about where they stand right now here in mid april. Liz every day, every primary, every vote seems to count. Blake, thank you for bringing us that interview. The road is not that smooth for the democrats east. Senator Bernie Sanders today skewering not donald trump, but rival Hillary Clinton and her ties to big money as he made his case to black voters just a few hours ago. This all ahead of the big faceoff tonight in brooklyn for the tenth democratic president ial debate. If you think, and i dont mean to be disrespectful here, that you can run for office, have a super pac and raise tens of millions of dollars from wealthy special interests and then go out and talk on the bug money interests the big money interests and protect working families, well, if you think that, youve got a very good candidate out there. But it is not Bernie Sanders. Liz lets bring in ellis henny can and tammy bruce, a conservative radio host. Gang, look, right now al sharpton for many people out there is the representation of the black community, and he has said Bernie Sanders is not resonating. What do you think, ellis . Well, its a little more complicated than al speaking for everyone, but hes kind of got a point. Bernies having trouble connecting with black and latino voters, other minorities as well. Its an area where hillary really has romped and no end in sight. Liz yeah, but i think, tammy, she doesnt own it entirely, does she. She doesnt. And i think if you just look at the rally from last night, 27,000 people coming up for Bernie Sanders in this state. Liz those are donald trump crowds. Ill tell you, even bigger than donald trump crowds. Those are barack obama crowds. And i recall that it was very famous at the time when it happened in 2008 where hillary was again guaranteed, but we suddenly started seeing even super delegates beginning to defect to barack obama because of the enthusiasm, because he suddenly became possible as someone who could win. I dont think thats going to happen this time because this is a time where Bernie Sanders, i think even the Democratic Party realizes that he really cant win a general election. Nobodys really focused on him. But its interesting, i dont even know if mr. Sanders thought that he would get this far with this kind of popularity. Liz lets get to that and whether he can get the nomination, general election. Ellis, look, everybodys a delegate mathematician nowadays. [laughter] the cab driver down on sixth avenue is a delegate mathematician, but Bernie Sanders wife is joining that crowd, and she said this morning that Hillary Clinton doesnt necessarily have the delegate numbers to get that nomination. Is that just, i guess, pie in the sky, or does she make a point here . Well, im not sure that jane sanders is a neutral mathematician on this topic. Possible, sure. But hillarys really got to mess up tonight, really may be the last chance she has to mess up new york in the next couple of primaries. Im not counting on it, but i guess its possible. Liz let me get to this Corey Lewandowski issue that finally was buttoned up in the last hour where you saw the florida prosecutor come out and say we are not going to prosecute the Trump Campaign spokesperson, you know, in the situation with michelle fields, the breitbart reporter, where he allegedly grabbed her arm and was just a little too physical and rough there. Tammy, does this clear some air and help donald trump then charge forward . The choices hes made in the last month with bringing on like the exscott Walker Campaign manager, the new Convention Manager says he already was moving on about when this happened. Mr. Lewandowskis position clearly has changed. Hes got these other very big personalities. This indicates that mr. Trumps already adapting. I have to tell you, regardless now that we know what the criminal dynamic is, she still, of course, can sue personally on a civil man or. But the issues always been not necessarily the problem, but the coverup effectively, his denying ever even seeing her or touching her. So so thats a separate liz that didnt help, did it . That didnt help. And yet i think were finding that mr. Trump perhaps realized that his campaign as a whole needed to change, the attitude needed to change. This event was part of the problem, and i think that hes already moved on from it. Liz ellis, dont want to give short shrift to john kasich. I know your newspaper, newsday, hasnt endorsed a candidate. That comes sunday . Sunday. Liz New York Daily News today put kasich on the cover, the guy. Barrons a couple of weeks ago said john kasich is the man thats best for business, for money, etc. , etc. Where do you think he stands in all of this . Hes number two at least in new york ahead of the primary. Yeah. And id sure love it if newspaperren doorsments swayed newspaper endorsements swayed elections. Listen, i think hes probably going to come in second, but its all trump, trump and more trump in new york. And if i may add, i think endorsements, in fact, at this point hurt. This is a season where people on both sides are reject what they see as the establishment, that includes media. So if its the New York Times or the daily news, people are going to say, meh, we are now making the decision. Weve given up to other people in the past, we have a disaster. Were not going to care about that so much. Liz tammy, ellis, thank you so much for weighing in. So much happening and, by the way, much more on the 2016 race coming up in just a few minutes. Cruz National Spokesman ron marrying is with us live. Maying is with us live. Ted cruz is really looking to california right now. Closing bell, 48 minutes away. Before kobe bryant even took the court last night, social media was ablaze. Why . Because of that guy, flea, the bass guitarist from the Red Hot Chili Peppers came out to pay the national anthem. Thats right, kobes last game was kicked off by the hendrixlike solo, not by a singer. Well, the hatest came out in full force, criticizing the unusual performance, but it doesnt take long for kobe to silence those critics. He scored a massive 60 points during his farewell game. Kobe saying his goodbye toss a swooning crowd at the Staples Center, wrapping up 20 years in the nba. But, oh, yeah, the Golden State Warriors were not to be outdone by kobe. That team made history by becoming the first team to win 73 games in a season. The warriors beat the Memphis Grizzlies 125104 breaking what many considered to be an unmatchable mark set 20 years ago by Michael Jordans chicago bulls. By the way, the dueling games were a ratings victory last night for espn. Kobes farewell combined with the warriors gave espn and the nba the highest regular season ratings since 2010 when lebron james had his first game with the miami heat. Now yesterday on the show we also reported that the nba is tet is set to approve advertisements on jerseys, so we slapped a fox business logo on a jersey and asked you guys where you stand with that. That fired you up. Seth tweeted terrible, terrible idea. This is not fifa. Of course, soccer. They slap all kinds of ads over it. Wayne agreed tweeting liz, no way. Hashtag cheesy. And trump foot tweeted ive never wanted to buy m and ms or buy a can of dupont paint because ads are plastered all over nascars. Pointless. Hey, look, connect with me on social media lizclaman. All of our sites are here. Now, this kobe story, absolutely huge. And fox news jim gray was on hand for kobe bryants magical night. He talked to the lakers star right after his final game. Kobe, are you sure after a 60point performance and a massive comeback that you want to leave . Yep. [laughter] i feel really comfortable with it, you know . Im happy to be able to, you know, end my career on this type of note. I am very comfortable with my decision. Youve been in this uniform now for about an hour and a half after the game. Yeah. How tough will it be to take it off knowing its the last time . Its amazing putting it on for the love last time, and its going to be really strange knowing im never going to wear this jersey ever again. Its hard, last sunday game we had, our sunday whites, taking it off the for the last time, now this, its hard, man. What are you going to miss the most . The process of it, you know . The training of it, the preparing for games, you know, the preparing for, you know, the top players in the league, right . Coming together with my teammates and figuring out what those strategies are, you know, seeing them maximize their potential. Those things are the things that im going to miss the most. You describe for me this outpouring . You have taken a journey from being loved now but coming from being hated and motivated by that hate to now everybody wanting to embrace you . Its been a beautiful journey, you know . Its, you know, i think its, you know, i think its, you stay true to who you are, you stay true to the process, stay true to the craft, i think people will respect that. And ive certainly respected them, because they stay true, you know . Coming to san antonio, boo, you know . [laughter] you suck, right . And all those things in boston sacramento. Its such a Mutual Respect x. After all of these years, we can both take the blinders off and say we appreciate each other. How do you want to be remembered . You know, i said a long time ago when i was 15 years old, i made a promise to myself and said at the end of my career, i want people to think of me as a talented overachiever, that i was blessed with talent, but that i worked as if i had none. And if i could be remembered that way, that would, that would be pretty good. Liz jim gray is with us now. You nabbed that, you were the only one to get that interview right after. Look, great interview, historic night for the nba and the game of basketball, kobe undeny my one of the best of them all. I guess we should just ask as a business network, were very interested in looking at revenues and things like that. But right off the bat looking at this final game, where does last nights game stand in kobes career . Well, liz, it was his best ending, thats for sure. [laughter] i dont recall seeing an ending like this in sports. We havent had a basketball player go out like this. I mean, we didnt know, you know, what to expect with Michael Jordan. He came back, played with the was asker, of course, john elway had a great ending with the Denver Broncos in the super bowl, and they won that game. He left after winning his second straight, but this in terms of just knowing that a guy was going to retire, i mean, he willed this team back into a game. They were doubledigit figures down with about seven minutes left. And he scored 23 points in the fourth quarter, 17 straight. He put up 50 shots, scored 60 points. It was just a magnificent, magical moment at Staples Center last night, and anybody who was there will remember it forever. Youre just not going to forget this. It will leave an indelible impression x it really should because this typifies what kobe was over the years. Kobe was excellent. He was the personification of work ethic. Liz and what he was to the nba, you know, last night alone, we could go micro and then macro. Last night alone the Staples Center sold more than a Million Dollars in kobe paraphernalia, jerseys, merchandise. I think he had about 680 million in career earnings over that 20year span, but what did he do for nba revenuesesome because during the 90s those revenues jumped exponentially. Well, he certainly has made possible these tv contracts. I mean, if you look at how the progression of the nba has gone, particularly the guys above the rim, it went from hawkins to Julius Irving to Michael Jordan x then kobe took the baton after there was never going to be another jordan and there never will be but he was his own kobe. And now its been passed on to lebron and to steph curry. Kobe bryant earned every penny that he made x he also made the nba a tremendous amount of money. You talk about the shirts, every fan last night got this shirt when they came in, and they were given a real special, commemorative program and, of course, the ticket stub. And what was interesting to me, liz, is last night some two hours after the game after we left, there were people outside who were trying to buy this stuff upwards of 200 and 300. The Staples Center sold out of all that stuff, so i guess them proare bill yas a big business and certainly the con concessions and licensing and revenue was huge. Liz well see it on ebay. [laughter] not mine, im keeping mine. Liz jim gray, thank you. Great job with kobe bryant, grabbing him right there right after he got off that court. Closing bell, were ricking in 36 ringing in 36 minutes. For a second we thought the s p was going to go anything, still up just about a half a point. Then we can expand health care to all and provide universal college education. Will they like me . No. Will they begin to play by the rules if im president . You Better Believe it. Im Bernie Sanders, and i approve this message. Liz he is taking on the big banks, Bernie Sanders saying if he becomes president , he will shake up the u. S. Financial system, but bernies calls to break up the big banks not having an impact on the Big Money Center bank stocks at the moment. You can look at all of them, jpmorgan is up after reporting earnings yesterday that beat street estimates. Today wells fargo beat by two pennies. On the flipside, Pnc Financial missed Thompson Reuters eps by two pennies and moving lower by a third of a percent. Wells fargo pretty much flat here. Bank of america and wells fargo posted lower quarterly profits. May have beat but posted lower quarterly profits and by the way, wells fargo is one of the most sizable lenders to the oil industry. Oil has been lower, that has hurt perhaps some of wells fargo business. Tomorrow at citigroup street expecting earnings per share of a dollar and three pennies. Is now the time to be betting on banks . Traders at the new york stock exchange, and the cme group. Doreen, hi. Hi. Liz the banks are not hammered by anything Bernie Sanders is saying today. They could arguably be hurt more by what Dennis Lockhart of the atlanta fed is saying, no rate hike now or perhaps whats going on in the oil industry. Are these good stocks to make a bet on now going into the Second Quarter . I think the expectations for this earnings season was so horrific. It was said to be the worst earnings season since 2009. This season in its entirety could be a case of what if its better than what we expected, it could be a very good sign. So i think as youre saying, very mixed, everything is mced and with politics being what it is, youre going to have a very volatile next few months. Larry, you are generally a positive guy, do you have the stomach for bank stocks . You know, i actually do. What the earnings are telling us right now is the consumer is doing very well, the other thing its saying is that the Bank Business is really tough. But whats base into the price of the stocks especially the bellwethers like wells fargo, the Bank Business is tough, fees are driven lower and trading at discount. You look at jpmorgan, that is my favorite stock over three or four years, i never give it credit because i never think its as high as it should. The bellwethers, longterm Interest Rates will rise, theyll be good stocks because the bar is so low for bank stocks. Liz the bar is so for all of the names, not just banks. This keeps happening, all the analysts say its horrible, and when they beat it by a whisker, its sunshine and roses. Thats why i say, i think even in this case, bad news could be good news if its better than whats expected. You have to be careful in a market like, this we are toppy in terms of where the indices are, you see traders taking profits where they can, and with the hopes things go down, theyll go right back in again. Theyll move around. On the plus side, we might get more volume, not today. Hopefully in the future. Its going to be a game which you have to be flexible and be prepared to go either way. Certainly we cant call this election, right . Liz doreen and larry, we cant do that yet. No way good to see all of you. And want to let our viewers know, we are at 2016 highs, slightly below them. Not a bad couple of sessions for the markets at the moment with the dow at 17,927. Up 18 points. Where can you really get solid information on a late friday night . Right here on fox business. From cozying up to delegates to rollercoaster rides to going on the tonight show. Ted cruzs Campaign Strategy has been raising a few eyebrows as he looks to take down gop frontrunner donald trump. Up next, ron nehring, Cruz Campaign National Spokesman is here, hes going to tell us what the senator is thinking with his Campaign Strategy, and how hes make sure he fair and square gets those delegates . Heres the plan. You want a family and a career, but most of the time you feel like youre trying to wrangle a hurricane. The rest of the time, theyre asleep. Then one day, hr schedules a meeting with you out of the blue. And its the worst 19 minutes of your career. But you dont sweat it because you and your advisor have prepared for this. And when the best offer means youre moving to the middle of nowhere, the boys say they hate the idea. But you pretend its not so bad. The lawsuit filed in Seattle Federal Court argues by not allowing microsoft to tell users about surveillance, they are in violation of the constitution by search and seizure. Were watching microsoft stock today, it continues to trade just slightly in the green. More countdown to the closing bell is straight ahead. Liz republican candidates, theyre all in new york today, ahead of the New York Primary just five days from now, and they will also all be attending the gop gala in manhattan. You might see a lot of smiles through gritted teeth. Why . A super pac backing governor kasich saying, quote, even though ted cruz and donald trump calling on the governor to quit, they should know better than to mess with a guy from pittsburgh. Kasich doubling down with these comments earlier in jericho long island. Not only are we winning in the polls against hillary when nobody else does, but there was also an independent process put together on the electoral college, and that was very interesting, because cruz and trump got smashed and i beat hillary decisively. Liz senator cruzs Campaign National spokesperson ron nehring is here. Im guessing you will say kasich is 100 wrong . He is in no pathway to become the republican nominee. He loses in state after state after state, hes lost over 30 times now. Clearly as we go forward we can have donald trump as the republican nominee who loses to Hillary Clinton or have senator cruz with positive optimistic reform oriented message, continuing to focus on jobs and the economy and reigniting this economy in the wake of the disaster weve had coming out of the Obama Administration in terms of high taxes, regulation and obamacare. Thats what our choice is going forward. John kasich can continue to say what hes going to say but not going to be the republican nominee for president. Liz tell me why your candidate campaign in california when we have the New York Primary so soon, next tuesday. Hes trending third behind cruz and donald trump. This time around, anything could change. This is a long ball game. Its a nineinning game, were at the bottom of the fifth. We have california, new jersey, new mexico, montana, voting at the end of the process and those states are all very, very important. One of the things we learned is when senator cruz organizes early which has been a key part of our campaign, the response has been tremendous. We had soldout crowds in irvine and san diego, california, and those events sold out within hours of going online, that shows the tremendous amount of energy we have in california which will send the biggest delegation to the national convention, and the senators message is resonating in california and out west and elsewhere in the country too. Liz lets get to the delegate alchemy, you have test tubes and beakers on behalf of everybody but donald trump made a lot of what i call unforced errors in this situation. Hes missed deadlines, particularly in virginia where donald trump had won virginia but missed the deadline to assemble delegates that could possibly switch. Ted cruz played this game very, very well and by the rules. We here at fox business check these things, so it looks at the moment its within the rules to convince delegates to perhaps switch when they get the chance, but how is the Cruz Campaign doing this . And im not asking to you reveal state secrets, but do you have people on every ground, terra firma from connecticut to delaware to maryland to pennsylvania and beyond . Weve said from the very beginning, we organized a campaign that spans across 50 states, five territories and the district of columbia. Thats advantage of our campaign and reflects philosophy that were going to run a campaign for the primary as well as for the general election. Donald trump, by contrast, i think he has a hard time proving he can defeat isis when he cant organize a convention. He cancels on events, canceled on a press conference in california. Started to organize a rally in fresno. Canceled on the Colorado Republican Party convention and whined about the result. This shows this is a candidate who when hes under pressure, doesnt know what to do. Cant organize a campaign properly and is not prepared to be commander in chief. At the same time, were free of the distractions and focused on senator cruzs message on economic reform, lowering taxes. This is tax week, everyones minds are on taxes. Liz dont remind me, ron. I know. But he has a strong flat tax proposal to bring relief to you and every other american out there. Liz sorry, i need to jump in here, weve got a little bit of time left here. Last night during the town hall on cnn, cruz said hes in the process of picking a number two. So we have heard everybodys name from scott walker to Carly Fiorina to nikki haley of South Carolina to maybe even governor kasich floated here. Whats he looking for in a number two to be his Vice President . I think senator cruz will take a very deliberate approach to this process. This is very, very important, and less so for the election that it is in terms of governing the country going forward. Liz would he go with any of the names . Are they on the table . Are they considering them . I cant raise the curtain on that, this is an important question which our campaign has shown were focused not only on today but anticipating the events coming up. Everything that will happen at the convention from platform to a Vice President ial nominee to preparing for the general election to working with the Republican National committee, going forward, all of that has to be discussed by a wellorganized campaign. Liz ron nehring, great to see you, thank you very much for coming on the show. Thank you. Liz senator ted Cruz National Campaign Spokesperson for president. Stick around for more on the 2016 elections. Charles has brand new fox news polls on the race for the white house. Folks thats at 6 00 p. M. Eastern. Liz thousands of protesters marching in cities across the country as part of the fight for 15. A continued effort to raise the minimum wage to 15 an hour. Protests from new york to chicago brought thousands to big gatherings as early as 6 15 a. M. Outside area mcdonalds. Angel mitchell is a worker at mcdonalds out with the protesters today. Angel, youre on the west side of chicago. Great to see you. Thank you for being here. What would you really like people to understand about your position here . Well, what i would really like people to understand is our strikes and our protesters since 2012 are grander than 15 an hour. People see 15 and fastfood workers in the same sentence and go crazy about it, but we also want union rights. We deserve to have our jobs protected, deserve to not make poverty wages. Were not asking, once again, not asking to become millionaires every night or two weeks on our paychecks. We deserve enough money for the Bare Necessities here in chicago. I know you know this, some cities have gotten to 15 an hour, pittsburgh, portland, oregon, greensboro, north carolina, missoula, montana, and the state of new york, california, by 2018, theyll be up to 15 an hour. There is progress here, is there not . Can you at least agree with that part of it . There is progress, and the thing is that progress is not uniform. In illinois, were fighting for 15, not only 15, also fighting for union rights as well. If we were only fighting for 15, new york would not be out protesting today and neither would california. Its bigger than 15. Liz look, mcdonalds is huge. Its massive. But youve heard the argument that 15 an hour imposed on smaller businesses may be disastrous for them, angel. Many of them say they will either have to lay off workers, so thats negative, a horrible thing or raise their prices, they may then lose customers, and the next thing you know, you got to lay off people anyway. Do you see that side of this . I see that side, and first off, i dont agree with that argument. The more money i make, the more money i can put back into the economy. If they dont have to raise prices, because guess what . The customers notice when the prices are raised, every penny. Customers come to the drive through and have their exact change, when the prices increase, they are made aware, and we dont have to tell them that. But if people are making more money, they will spend more money. They dont have to shut down. Liz ive heard that side of it. There are a lot of you out today, showing pictures right now. Thousands in different cities, many mcdonalds workers. What does your boss think of this . My thought of it is liz your boss. You said my thoughts . Liz no, your boss, the person for whom you work, the supervisor at mcdonalds . Oh, my boss, i really dont know how they feel about it right now. Im sure they not happy about the situation, theyll get over it like we have to get over not being able to put food on our tables and pay bills. Theyll get over it too. Liz youre not worried about the perception. At some point i would imagine you either want to move on or move up the chain. Youd like to become manager. That is a point people say about working in fast food joints, you work your way up or it was never intended to be a longterm deal. I know with the financial crisis, the jobs have become longterm situations. I just want to you understand that we get that but you dont want to price a business out of doing business. Well, the thing about it is, we have a war on obesity in this country, so im not saying to just shut mcdonalds down and go after them. Were not coming after 25 an hour. Were coming after 15 an hour and union rights. They can afford. That so they wont have to lay off people, if they choose to that, says a lot about the society we live in and how they want to maintain a poverty class or the haves and the havenots. They wont have to lay off anyone. Liz angel, thank you for joining us, to speak your thoughts about this, appreciate it. All right, no problem. Liz angel mitchell. The fight for 15, and we will be right back. The Dow Jones Industrials hanging onto teeny little gains here. Up 10 point. Ving for retirement. Then we asked some older people when they actually did start saving. This gap between when we should start saving and when we actually do is one of the reasons why too many of us arent prepared for retirement. Just start as early as you can. Pradaxa is not for people who have had a heart valve replacement. Dont stop taking pradaxa without talking to your doctor. Stopping increases your risk of stroke or blood clots. Liz all major indices except for the dow have now turned negative. Up six points. As were in the throes of earnings season, First Quarter in the rear view mirror, time to look beyond the Second Quarter, right . Thought i was going to say Second Quarter. Lets bring in heavy very ford trust ceo hank smith. What happens in the second half, hank . What are you expecting . We think well see a pickup in earnings because a couple of headwinds that impacted Earnings Growth for past several quarters we think will dissipate. One thinking oil is bottomed to 26. Weve seen a nice 50 rebound there. Very importantly the dollar stopped appreciate eighting. In fact it came down a little bit. Earnings comparison for Multinational Companies which make up majority of s p 500 should have easier comparisons as we move into the second half of the year so a nice pickup in earnings should be a good propellant for the market. Liz knowing that, well put up your picks on the screen. Among them Proctor Gamble and wells fargo. Give me a line where you think that these types of names go in the aggregate collectively . Well look, first of all were talking about two very, very high quality companies. Secondly, companies that have dividend yields that are better than bond yields. Youre going to get Dividend Growth there. And also you have a nice balance between defense being Proctor Gamble and offense being wells tagger wells fargo. I dont think were going into recession. Were still in a slowgrowth economy. Liz great to see you, hank. We have slow growth today. Up 22 points for the dow. [closing bell rings] the 18 dow will wait for another day.
