Did donald trump pull out of cpac because he didnt want to answer questions. I think Everybody Knows that is not true. Mr. Trump is not afraid to take questions from anyone. Hes the candidate whos had more press conferences than anyone. He takes the tough questions. He goes to the debates knowing the moderators and opponents are going to dog pile on him. Mr. Trump is not speaking at cpac this year because we have an election tomorrow. Im here in d. C. Because we were supposed to be here tomorrow but the campaign decided to go out there and make one last pitch to the voters in kansas and get out and campaign in florida. That simple. Liz matt was saying he could have won the straw poll which the participants at cpac take at the end of this several day long event. Now thats going to hurt him. Hes going to do a lot worse than the straw poll. Im guessing donald trump doesnt give a hoot about any straw poll there . If you look at record of cpac, usually a ron paul or rand paul that wins the cpac straw poll. And there are a lot of activists here. Mr. Trump has spoken at cpac in the past. This was scheduled right before a really important election. Mr. Trump is being dog piled on by everyone, including the establishment. So he decided, or the campaign decided we should get out to kansas do, a last pitch out to those folks and head onto florida. Very important contests moving forward. I think everyone can agree with that. Liz lets get to the in fact there have been other developments in the past 48 hours, and two of them are flipflops as others call them, or outright reversals of positions. Mr. Trump has changed his position during the debate on immigration. He said now he was going to soften his stance on the h1b visas which Silicon Valley loves because it allows them to recruit people from overseas and reversed his stance on torture. Whereas before he was saying ill water board everybody, now saying you cant really do that. How do you think this stands with forget conservatives or establishment, anybody who is looking for somebody who holds to at least basics of what they believe . Well, with regards to waterboarding. Mr. Trump wants to bring back water boarding and go further if possible. Intelligence community said we shouldnt do that. Mr. Trump wants to make sure hes not going to force anyone to do anything, everyone knows mr. Trump isnt politically correct and says what he thinks. Its not really a reversal. Hes just making sure everyone knows hes not going to be tyrannical about going about the process. The second thing i want to address which is the most important is immigration. There was not a switch on immigration. Just so that you understand. Mr. Trump understands the difference between highly skilled immigration workers and h1b visa workers, they come in on a Guest Program liz sorry, let me jump in. You said there wasnt a reversal. He used the term i changed, i changed. He said that during the debate. Absolutely, megyn kelly pointed to what was on his website, which was incorrect. There were two sections on the website. One that addresses highly skilled workers, the other addresses h1b visas. She was talking about h1b visas, mr. Trump was talking about the highly skilled worker. He encourages highly skilled workers but discourages h1b visas. You have to be flexible, anybody in business you have to be flexible. If you dont bend, you break, especially when new information comes in. However, when you looked at business of what this operation of being president involves, and as a business network, you know, that this is what really matters to us. Sure. Liz waste, fraud and abuse, when pushed he had a couple of ideas which parts of the business we call the United States of america should be cut back on, i believe he said the epa and maybe the education department, and we can put up on the screen exactly how much that would really be. I get frustrated when people say 18 billion is a rounding error, first of all, we add enough rounding errors together, and well bring down the deficit. The deficit is 544 billion, and the best he could come up with under 100 billion to trim away. Most candidates, do you have 60 seconds to answer a question, and most candidates rattle off departments and agencies and mr. Trump takes about waste, fraud and abuse in general, which runs about 30 . In business, 3 , goal is 1 . In government it runs 30 . And thats not even including the irs and the money that theyre sending to mexico for the additional child tax credits that are being issued with these identification numbers. Probably if the market comes in higher come monday, you may have to sell for a pullback here. This market may have to work in this area, settle around 34 1 2 or so for the nearterm. Now other former aides are being investigated by the fbi involving passwords that may have been shared. Adam shapiro has the very latest on this investigation. Adam . Close aides to Hillary Clinton trying to determine if they did share computer passwords to explain how top secret intelligence was moved from highly classified Government Networks to clintons unsecured email. More than 100 secret and top secret emails were found on clintons person, less secure server, and fox has confirmed the fbi intends to interview clintons junior aides and ultimately the former secretary of state herself. It was revealed that state Department Specialist Brian Pagliano struck an immunity deal with the justice department. He has been interviewed by the fbi. Pagliano who took the fifth before the Benghazi Committee set up and maintained secretary of state clintons personal email server. The investigation includes cyberforensic studies of mrs. Clintons personal server to assess whether it was compromised by cyberhackers. Pagliano wiped the server but that was not a government grade deletion, and sources tell fox news, the fbi recovered several files. Forensic investigators looking for physical evidence like malicious codes which may have been left behind by potential hackers. This continues to be a problem for mrs. Clinton. Last nights debate proves that is exactly how the gop sees it. Listen. The next president of the United States is going to have eight years of a mess of a Foreign Policy to clean up. Thats why it cant be Hillary Clinton. Hillary clinton worked aggressively to depose moammar gadhafi. We had no business doing it. Not only is she under fbi investigation, she lied to the families of the victims of benghazi. Im the only one who beats Hillary Clinton. I have not started on hillary yet. Believe me. What is the insider scoop from the clinton package of how theyll deal with this . Im not in the clinton campaign, per seshgs se, i understand the email situation which people dont understand. Unlike what youve heard, this was a security inquiry commenced at the request of various government officials in and out of the state department, and as such, the first thing they have to do before they release the emails that hillary has asked to be released. The equities in each email have to be vetted by each department involved the cia or the Commerce Department or the Defense Intelligence agency. Liz each side could decide. Yes, and after the fact. Liz the fact you and i are having this conversation, tom, cant be good for the campaign. What will listen, youre a former federal lawyer, what are they doing to get ready for what appears to be vicious attacks facetoface once there is a gop nominee . First of all, theres every reason to believe that the security inquiry will be over relatively soon. And i want to explain to you that the situation with hillarys emails is very different than any other matter that you may have read about. In order to make this kind of a case, lets be honest, there has to be intent, you cant just negligently, perhaps grossly negligently, you cannot negligencely do this. Remember, remember, remember, this involves taking material that belongs in drawer a and putting it in drawer b. Thats it. And there is no indication that this happened intentionally by Hillary Clinton. Liz okay. But what happens when she is facing off against whoever the gop nominee will be. Lets say its donald trump because hes the frontrunner. Yes. Liz thats not going to be so easy, is it . It is not going to be easy, not because really of the email situation, but because its very difficult to go up against a candidate who will say anything, which is the character of donald trump. As to her ability to handle this, Hillary Clinton has been in public life for 25 years, and she knows how to handle accusations, and each these accusations that have come her way over these years have been dealt with. The American People are going to decide this based upon which candidate think will help them in the most in the white house. Liz glad you said that, help them the most. Notwithstanding a good jobs number for the month of february and job creation month after month of the obama administration, there is a wealth gap. Were a business network, we look and see that the middle class isnt exactly dancing for joy how they feel every day when they look at bank accounts. Is her stance, must it change a little bit frorom more of the same . More of the same from president obama means that perhaps that gap will continue to grow . That is not a good thing. I know you would agree, thats not a good thing. First of all, no indication anything is more of the same. And with respect to helping people, you dont pick your opponent in politics. Which of the two do you think the American People will correctly determine is best for them . Remember, theres a history of donald trump, whose high regard for the downtrodden people of america doesnt seem to stop them from ripping them off. Liz well, he arguably, at least if youre talking to cpac, the conservative grassroots operation ripped them off. He was supposed to speak at 8 30 tomorrow. They depended on this.
