You can see its a small group at the moment, but they are Holding Signs that say i am tamir rice, stop police brutality, and black lives matter. Rice was playing with a pellet gun at clevelands park back in november 2014 when he was shot and killed. The incident was captured on Surveillance Video and added to this Ongoing National debate of Police Conduct in the wake of several high profile cases featuring unarmed black men killed by white Police Officers. Our Law Enforcement panel on what cleveland needs to do right now to diffuse the high anxiety there. Hillary clinton wants to take on trump. The president ial Campaign Battle just got hotter, but is it marco rubio that hillary should be zeroing in on . He just got, a few hours ago, a high profile endorsement in iowa. Our Political Panel tells us what it all means. And its rally on. Look at the Dow Jones Industrials, jumping 206 points, within striking distance of closing out 2015 with a gain. The Dow Jones Industrial average stands at 17,734 with two full sessions plus one hour of trading left in the year. Heres number, the dow needs to hit 17,823 to join the s p and the nasdaq in positive territory for 2015. Theres a new rumor, two highflying stocks may soon join the exclusive dow club. Were less than an hour to the closing bell, lets start the countdown. Liz okay, here we go. Two more sessions and 58 minutes to gain enough points on the dow to end the year in the green. We are not there yet, but were close. Here are the levels you need to watch. On your screen for the dow its 17,823, were at 17,735 right now. By way, if the dow does not end positive for the year, thatll actually be the first time thats happened since 2008. S p 500 needs to close above 2059, the s p right now is at 2079, so were already there. We have the nasdaq needs to be above 4736, right now were at 5113. Clear sailing, maybe. No red to worry about with amazon. Heres some stock stories were picking out right minute. The Online Retail giant had a very merry christmas, indeed, touching a new alltime high today. Right now were at 695. 22, thats due to strong, muscular holiday sales at amazon, one of the biggest leaders of the nasdaq today. But market watch says amazon should actually join the dow party instead. Rumors are that amazon and Google Alphabet may be the next two names to join the dow to keep the oldtime index, quote, relevant. Apple, though, losing some juice today. While the stock is up about 2. 25 , one of the strongest performers of the s p 500, take a look at the six month chart. We wanted to show this to you so you can see it hasnt been all sweetness and light for apple. Its fallen right now again down, up about 2. 25 , but this leads many to speculate whether weve finally reached a bottom on this stock. To housing, specifically housing prices. We got the caseshiller index, compiles the housing prices and says howd we do. Home prices had a healthy yearoveryear increase of 5. 2 in the month of october, so whos doing best . Apple valley, Silicon Valley where apple is based and many other Big TechnologyCompanies HelpingSan Francisco and denver and portland to see the highest increase of 10. 9 . New york metropolitan area, we lo to tell you this, this saw a 3. 1 increase in home prices, this should not come as a surprise to anybody wholies here. As of the third quarter, the median price for a manhattan apartment tiny and needs a lot of plumbing work 920,000, brushing up against a million. Closer to the bottom of the barrel, cleveland, which saw just a 2. 2 increase yearoveryear, or only beating out crimeridden chicago and washington d. C. The median home price in cleave lambed, 43,000. Well, cleveland itself at in this very hour is the site of high tension. At this moment youre looking at live pictures where cleveland is bracing for a wave of protests so far very peaceful. Activists are telling people to, quote, be on the streets downtown. The protest center around a grand jury that cleared the Police Officer responsible for fatally shooting 12yearold tamir rice who was holding a toy pellet gun that did look very real. As we keep our cameras trained on the Justice Center, ontario street not far from what the browns play, were going to bring in rod wheeler. He investigated homicides for the d. C. Police department and is currently the founder and president of the criminal Investigation Firm rod wheeler and associates. And here exclusively, joe cordaro. Hes got a track record of reducing crime in cities throughout massachusetts and new jersey. Hes an expert in building bridges between Law Enforcement and the community. Hes also spent 21 years with the nypd. Welcome to you both. Rod, i want to go to you first. In the wake of ferguson, baltimore, chicago, all of these sites of tension, is cleveland ready . You know, i think cleveland is ready. And let me just share with you real quickly, liz, that i was born and raised in cleave lambed. A lot of those protesters i actually personally know. I think they are within their right to protest. You know, liz, when you look at this particular case involving tamir rice, theres no way in the world that that Police Officer should not have at least been taken to a trial. And he wasnt even indicted. And i think thats where the tension comes in. Im not saying the officer was guilty, but at least take him to trial. Liz, ive investigated shootings involving Police Officers, and let me just tell you firsthand with firsthand knowledge, many years of being in Law Enforcement, every element of this case at least shows that this individual should have been indicted. That did not happen. And why didnt that happen . Because that prosecutor, tim mcginty, wanted to sway the jury, the grand jury. And thats what happened. And thats why, liz, we see those people protesting, and like i said, rightfully so in the city of cleveland. Liz well, listen, its america, and you can protest, absolutely. I want to bring in joe who, youve really been an expert in bridging very major riffs where there have been painful wounds between community and police. And this is very well one of them, correct . How do they work on this . How do they fix this situation . Well, you know, this is overshadowed by, you know, the National Temple right now as it relates to Police Community relations in light of a number of policeinvolved shootings. Aside from the criminal case, this drama is not ending anytime soon. You have the probably a lawsuit, you have an administrative liz but for right now these people on the steps of the Justice Center here in cleveland, the is there a paradigm that is perhaps appropriate to bridge a very, very massive wound right now between, this gap between the community and the police at the moment . Absolutely. And part of that is accountability. Its showing the community that the police are accountable, that theres a mechanism and trust in place that they can trust to conduct, you know, investigations, that people can rely on. So part of that is, yeah, bringing people together, explaining to them the process, explaining to them what the Police Department aims to do to bridge the gap of trust right now in that community. Liz rod, there have been what feel like so many of these, but, you know, in the grand scheme of things, well talk about the numbers in a minute. Theres, of course, tamir rice in cleveland, the eric garner Staten Island shooting where, you know, he was down there it was a horrible situation. That, too, was caught on tape. Laquan mcdonald, 17yearold shot 16 times. He had a knife in chicago. We know how tough those situations, and, of course, ferguson too. Right. Liz in some cases justified, in others questionable, and in others it was ors well, what do you expect . Youre waving a weapon around. Youre right. And, you know, thats why, liz, we try to be fair and balanced on this network. And, you know, 99 of time im going to support Police Officers, because ive been out there on the street, and i know what we have to deal with each and every day. However, theres this 1 , liz, and i know my copanelist will agree with this, theres this 1 of Police Officers thats making it look bad for all of us. 1 is that one guy in cleveland, that Police Officer. But ill tell you, on the other side of this, liz, when you look at whats going on in the city of chicago with emanuel, rahm emanuel, hes not making situations there any better either. He throws his cops under the bus. The baltimore mayor, as we know, threw those six cops under the bus. Where does it end . How do we bridge the gap between the Police Departments and the community . And unfortunately, im going to tell you Going Forward into 2016, its not looking that great. Liz i think thats an important point to be made, joe. And as you look at exactly whats happening on your screen, everybody, right now it looks very peaceful, things tend to get a little more dicey when, you know, the sun goes down. Im not saying thats going to happen here, but what next, joe . What is the number one thing . Rod just made the point that rahm emanuel threw his police under the bus. He fired the police chief. But is there a case where sometimes thats, you need to start fresh at the top . Well, if you look at situations in chicago and ills where, you know and elsewhere, it really calls if more a significant change in the policing direction. And when that happens, its appropriate to start at the top. But ive got to also say this, you know, this is just one of many. You know, unfortunate situations that, you know, have been talked about here just a minute ago, and we tend to come up with agreedupon approaches and solutions that we quickly abandon after the spotlight ends on a particular city. We need to move forward in a way that makes bridging the divide among our communities part of a policing culture. We need to measure it like we measure crime statistics. We need to emphasize it as we do arresting bad guys, which is an important part of policing. But also being able to sustain that trust, to build bridges so that when you have these types of situations, you can take a accept back collectively and have, you know, people come together and try to work this out a little better. Liz well, as protests go, this is not a huge one. I can remember working at channel 5 in cleveland, rod, i lived in cleveland like you did, and right around the time of the rodney king Police Beating verdict, i was right there on those very steps covering a different protest. It was a lot bigger. Well be watching it. Our cameras are there. Thank both of you so much for weighing in on this, rod wheeler and joe cordaro. Great to have experienced guys. The closing bell is about 49 minutes away. The markets are doing great today, but still if you look at the bigger picture, fighting to finish 2015 in the green at least for the Dow Jones Industrials which is right now up 215 points. Nasdaq is in. Clean sailing. The s p is right there. Can the dow make it a clean sweep . The traders know. Were about to take you live to the smart guys and the traders on the floor show in just moments. All dow 30 stocks right now in the green, but some Major Companies have lost the trust of the American Public this year. Consumers arent dummies. They know when to pull the plug. Jeff flock is live in chicago with the list of companies that consumers are putting in their rearview mirror. Should the names be out of your portfolio . You need to see this list, so dont go away. Dows up 214 points. We live in a pick and choose world. Choose, choose, choose. But at bedtime . Why settle for this . Enter sleep number, and the lowest prices of the season. Know better sleep with sleep number. Liz 45, 45 minutes before the closing bell rings. I dont know, you want to call it window dressing, profit taking, bargain hunting, today it could be bargain hunting and window dressing because, guess what . The markets are higher by a pretty long shot, dow jonesvilles up 215 points, we have the s p charging ahead by 24 points, the nasdaqs looking great for the year, absolutely very strong, up 1. 5 . But, you know, the transports lagging a little bit, still up threequarters of a percent. At least they waited til after christmas. Dupont cleaning house. This comes out today. After celebrating its merger with dow chemical, dupont puts the hangover on employees, announcing its going to cut about 28 of its work force in delaware in early 2016 as it prepares for that mega merger. Stock loves it. Its up about 2 . You often see this because investors perceive that companies are slimming down and getting leaner and meaner. Well, some 1700 jobs will be impacted by the costcutting measure. We should check on dow chemical as well, see how dow is trading. With dupont up that much, dow chemical also up two and a third percent. We are less than 100 points away from the dow turning positive for the year. The number the to watch is 17,823. Right now were at 17,747. So as we watch that level, will we see it . Will we get to it . With just about 40 minutes plus two more days of trading, we bring in the traders at the floor show, the new york stock exchange, cme group, the nymex. A trifecta of genius here. Scott redler, are we going to make it . Will the dow turn positive for the year . I know youve got a shortterm crystal ball. Feels like the momentum is with the bulls right now. We probably touch it again for the 20th time this year, so it hasnt made so much of a difference. Its been how you played the range around that number. It does seem like we have a bullish tone, like you said before. Theyre coming in for the weak ones and bottom feeding and also the strong names that have been strong, some of them making new 52week highs, getting marked up. A lot of different ways to play the tape. I think its definitely feasible. Liz okay, feasible. I like that. Hes straddling the line. I want to get to jeff grossman, because a huge story thats developed is that natural gas has skyrocketed both yesterday and today. You know, earlier i was looking, nat gas was up 5 , now were seeing a gain of about, yeah, lets call it 9 here . This is or 6. 5 . Its a big move for nat gas. If we were to show you a one week chart or six month, it would be a lot better. How real is this, or is this just a shortterm short squeeze because a couple of regions have some snow showers . No, this is more getting back to reality here. In fact, whats the most strange aspect of that market is a couple of weeks ago how we really bottomed out and got below 2. That was the real surprise. Now weve come back to more or less where reality is. What we have now is a market that probably has reached about where it should be chart wise from an objective standpoint. It broke down, lets say, a couple of months ago liz well, i think earlier this month we are at a 14year low, so suddenly, boom, spiking. But does that continue, is what im asking. No, no, no. We basically retraced what we needed to, and now were up against about what was the support level, now its the resistance level of around 2. 40 now. So now its going to be a moderating level, shaking a few people out. Being the last day of trading in the spot has been the major factor for some of this move here. So, again, i think youre going to see the market level off in the next week or two, and then well have to take a look at the next inventory report and see where we go from there. Liz okay. Well, that brings me, of course, to dan. Mr. Brainiac when it comes to big picture stuff. Give us your take for 2016. Ive seen more articles on Yahoo Finance and marketwatch. Com and everywhere else, and theyre all trying to game it. What do you see . You know what . Ive seen an economy this year that has just been progressed along at 2 growth, and i want to see us get out of this. Thisll be interesting, because weve had a big increaseover in our pocket increase in our pocketbook with gas prices so low. Well get a hint of the Fourth Quarter next month, and well get a hint of holiday sales to see if any of that money went into the system. I want to see us jump into the 2. 53. 5 growth rate before i get too excited, otherwise were going to plod along again next year. Liz hey, guys, weve been in business for eight years, and weve loved having you guys on all the time. Thank you so much. Happy holidays. Liz stuck by us here at fox business, thank you so much. By the way, the closing bell with about 40 minutes to go, a lot happening here. Keep your eye trained on that dow bug, up 212 points. Well see if we can really punch higher in this final 40 minutes. Senator marco rubio picking up a major endorsement in iowa today. Why . Because it comes from a group that has traditionally considered itself outside tokers from the political outsiders from the political elite at the gop. Were bringing our Political Panel in to tell us if trey gowdy will really help rubio close in on donald trump and ted cruz in the hawkeye state. And chipotles e coli problems didnt scare me away in late november. I ate the burrito bowl. But enough of you turned tail from the burrito bowl giant. Is it a trust issue . The list thats been checked twice of companies that have to work way harder than others in 2016 to win back the trust of consumers. Jeff flock to tell us what some of these Companies Plan to do to fix their 2015 failures. Hes got the list. Stay tuned for more countdown. This is the one place were not afraid to fail. Some of these experiments may not work. But a few might shape the future. Like turning algae into biofuel. New technology for capturing co2 emissions. And cars twice as efficient as the average car today. Ideas exxonmobil scientists are working on. Liz we have breaking news just in. Residents in west alton, missouri, about 20 miles north of st. Louis are being told to evacuate immediately due to this. Look at these pictures. The overtopping of consolidated north county levee, which is on the mississippi river. 13 deaths reported in the state involving flooding, mostly vehicles droving on to swamped roadways thinking they could cross them. Mayor William Richter have ordered towns residents to get out of harms way. That shows the reason. The super 8 and mcdonalds underwater. Clean up underway after deadly tornadoes ripped through north texas leaving 11 people dead. Weve been telling you about this the past two days. Residents picking up the pieces after a weekend filled with rough weather and flooding rains. Weather service determined the twister was ef4. What does that mean . Second highest classification of tornadoes with winds stronger than 200 miles per hour. From violent tornadoes to crippling blizzards. Look at this treacherous snow and ice bringing winter chaos. Pounding the midwest and closed interstates and knocking down trees and power lines. Hundreds and hundreds of flights have been canceled by nasty weather. That is just in chicago alone. You can see deicers hard at work on airplanes. Dow jones industrials still up 207 points. In companies we trust, not. Volkswagen duping buyers with fake emission tests to chipoltes e. Coli outbreak, Consumer Trust in companies they thought they loved is officially in decline of the list doesnt end with those two . Do you want any of these names . Jeff flock joins us with the big scandals of the year. Not just money was lost, jeff, but were talking trust. That will be hard to rebuild especially some of these companies. Whole foods is latest, reaching a 500 milliondollars, 500,000 settlement with the city of new york allegedly overcharging customers weighing their things improperly. Take a look at the list, impressive list or maybe a depressing list. As you mentioned, vw emissions scandal. Takata airbags blowing up. Pardon me. Gm with the ignition switch problems. Chipolte with the e. Coli problems and whole foods. In the case of some of these pretty blatant, for example, vw. What was the shrug line or tag line or audi . Truth in engineering. Liz oy. Turns out engineers were the ones at fault. The impact to this. Take a look what it has done to say peoples attitude about wv, for example . Before the scandal, 2 3 of america had favorable view. After the scandal, less than a third. Vw did at mitt to wrongdoing. Whole foods has not for its part. Put the quote from their statement yesterday. They said there was no evidence of systemic or intentional misconduct by anyone in northeast region anywhere in the rest of the country. They had 800,000 settlement in state of california over similar problem. It has hurt the stock. Chipolte one example, down 30 in the last three months. I want to leave you something positive if i can. That is nielsen, did a study of merges most trusted brands. What do you think . What would be your most trusted brand, liz . Liz oh, i like bandaid. Oh, dawn, dawn dishwashing is my kind of dishwashing survey says. And yes, you are correct. Liz wait a minute. Where are the chocolate companies, you know . I love chocolate. I trust those guys too. It is funny though. Yeah our trust is still there for some. The other ones . Not so much. Liz when it is in the Public Health and Public Safety you have to argue vw blew the first. That is unbelievable, truth in engineering. How ironic. Scary. Liz jeff, thanks very much. It matters to your portfolio. We know the names have been hammered. What names have you lost faith in . Which names do you still very much believe that you really feel you can rely on . Tweet me liz claman. Cleave a comment on facebook page, facebook. Com liz claman. Remember old adage, when near is greatest and scandals are big, smart investors dive in to buy up the stock. That could be the situation with chipolte once they get their food situation under control. Closing bell 29 minutes away. Dow up more than 200 points. Protests over the rice case in cleveland. Seems like almost more reporters than protesters. Is this a signal to the rest of the candidates . Countdown to the closing bell is coming right back. Announcer one candidate tough enough to take on the bully. Jeb bush donald, youre not going to be able to insult your way to the presidency. Thats not going to happen. applause announcer one candidate tough enough to take on isis. Jeb will destroy isis. And keep america safe. Jeb bush the United States should not delay in leading a Global Coalition to take out isis with overwhelming force. Announcer tested and proven leadership matters. Jeb bush. Right to rise usa is responsible for the content of this message. Liz breaking news. Were dipping back into live pictures of cleveland, ohio. We have speakers taking to the microphones this is the second day in a row where protesters are taking to the streets to protest the grand jurys cities in cleveland not to charge a city Police Officer with fatally shootingyearold tamir rice waving a toy pellet gun last november. Its a peaceful credit at the crowd at the moment. Mike tobin is in cleveland on the ground. This is the Justice Center, right, mike . Reporter this is particularly cold wind today with the wind coming off the lake. I ballpark it as a dozen. This tricolor flags are from organization known as black mans army. They are out here. Some members say they will demonstrate to fight against the system and prove they will not quit until they get a system of justice. Now despite their sense of injustice, absence of charges with the grand jury administrative review sunday way to see if officers Timothy Lohman and or frank gorick violated police policy. Despite the demonstrations brought by this action, the mayor of cleveland said the administrative review would be a fair process. Here is the mayor. Im focused on due process wherever it goes. You know, you know, i think he demonstrated particularly to people, low people tell you that, demonstrated that i throw the police under the bus for political reasons. Neither do i throw the public under the bus for political reasons. Reporter now the officers in question are on restricted duty, primarily paperwork. They dont have contact with the public. We dont see a Police Presence out here as this crowd is growing just a little bit. The police chief said, as the police show up. They will come out with soft profile. Wont see any riot gear unless it becomes absolutely necessary. Liz cleveland pd, good at these deep of rallies and protests. Mike come back to us as you need to talk with us. Go got it. Liz back to the campaign trail. Hillary clinton not taking Donald Trumps bait, sticking to the script, sticking to a cure for alzheimers not talking about trump or the attack on her husband in appearance in portsmouth New Hampshire. We have senator marco rubio appearing with republican congressman from South Carolina, trey gowdy who Just Announced his endorsement of rubios campaign. Joining me on the campaign and whether gowdy can give rubio any kind of boost he needs, former sweep writer and democratic strategist for Vice President joe biden is. Matthew shipman. Theyre considered on sort of the outsideinside fringes of elite of d. C. Does this matter from your sort of democratic sort point of view and prism you look . It matters for rubio. He has to figure out how to win one of these first few states. South carolina and nevada are his chances not iowa or New Hampshire. Any help he can get in South Carolina is beneficial. The problem for rubio he may not win any of those states. If he doesnt win any and doesnt have momentum and momentum is with trump or cruz he may already be dead in the water. The momentum is with trump, cruz and rubio, has to figure out a way to blunt the momentum. Liz seems like rubio, you say he has to win one of these two is the guy to beat up on at the moment. Jeb bush is coming out with an ad. Lets show it, he is attacking not donald trump but marco rubio here. Days after the paris attacks senators came together for a top secret briefing on the terrorist threat. Marco rubio was missing. Fundraising in california instead. Liz okay. And now we go to ron christie, who is also joining me and matt. Former special assistant to president george w. Bush and gop strategist as well. Ron, suddenly, while, you could argue that marco rubio isnt jumping out and isnt a frontrunner here, he is still somebody that threatens all the other candidates. It sure seems to be that way, liz. Seems like he is the guy, force to be reckoned with. As you look at iowa and look at New Hampshire and folks trying to say who is the antithesis of donald trump . Who is the one from establishment side who couldly be a threat. I think governor bush and a lot of other candidates are looking at marco rubio i better knock him on his horse to take his momentum away, lest he pass me. That commercial is surprising from governor bush and his former protege. Liz there is lot of punching and kicking guided towards marco rubio. Matt, lets get to hillary clinton. Hillary clinton isnt acknowledging marco rubio nor donald trump. Today in her appearance in New Hampshire, i think this is interesting, because donald trump sort of crossed rubicon and went towards bill clinton her husband and former president , she said a few things and now ignoring it is that the way to go here. Two things, liz, one, youve been having me on the show for a few months now. Ive been saying for a few months jeb bush should be dropping out of this race. For hymn to be going after marco rubio at this point is a waste of time. Jeb bush doesnt have a chance. He is wasting his money. Owe should stop doing this because really he serves as a foil for trump. He is basically the dean wormer to trumps delta house. He should drop out pause he looks like a fool all the time next to trump. On hilly thing. No point engaging with trump at this point. This helps him i think with his base a little bit but moderates, independents, most democrats think it is ridiculous that he is attacking clinton. Liz finally i have to ask, i have read just too many articles, what is happening with ben carson, ron . Is he done . Is this sort of the herman cain moment . Well i think it could be. There is a lot out there right now. Armstrong williams, his longtime financial backer and advisor, barry bennett, his Campaign Manager have really taken pains last several days, hey everything is fine and hey, everything needs to change. If you look at numbers a few weeks back he was in the 20s. He now in the teens. Looks like he is dropping. I think well see dr. Ben carson in the rear view mirror shortly. Liz good to see both of you. Pleasure. Liz matt, ive been this program so many months, youre stuck with us well keep you both. Good to see you both. Nice to see you. Be sure to tune in for the next gop president ial call candidate, we got the nod thursday, january 14th, on fox business. Tivo it, set it two days after the state of the union. You need to know where the people stand on issues matters to us. Fox business doesnt take any push back. We have it covered for you, and only you. Closing bell 20 minutes away. Todays rally losing a little bit of steam. All week we look at the Top Investment trends for the new year. None was bigger in 2015 than mergers and acquisitions. Liz okay, paring back just a bit. We were up 200 and what, 13 points when we started. Were up up 189 points for the Dow Jones Industrials. On wall street when sea bass swallow trout or minnows swallow whales he can make a lot of money. Were talking about mergers and acquisitions, first time looking at screen, global m a volume surpassed 5 trillion. 10 deals announced worth more than 50 billion . Health care and technology were leading sectors for marriages you can call them. Seeing more than 700 billion in activity. The biggest announcement was pfizer and allergan hooking up. This is ending. It will be a 160 billion merger. Will the megamerger boom continue through the new year . How do you capitalize on it as an investor . Mezereau investors, joining me the companys Investment Banking senior advisor. Bill, it is just a busy year you just had. Is your head spinning . I think all of our heads are spinning, liz. Its been a i think were all in deal fatigue at this point. Liz why was it so hot this year and do you foresee it being at least as hot or warm next year . Liz, the reasons that the market was so good this year are several. One, we had abu comic financing environment. Debt financing available on historically attractive rates. Accommodating equity market which reacted postively to many if not all deals which involved equity. And finally, very, very ample private equity Funds Available for financing. The environment broadly speaking. The tepid economy has led to a lot of activity. Companies have been starved for growth at the top line, liz. With the result they have to do something to drive the earnings line which is not being driven by sales. So one of the ways to do that, perhaps the easiest and best way, is through an acquisition. Liz sure. Where you reap substantial synergies, contributing factor, it is a little bit at odds with the tepid economy there has been at least moderate enthusiasm among business owners, members of the board, about the stability of the economy and therefore the confidence they bring. Liz there is a way for investor to capitalize but you do almost have to have xray vision, isnt it . As you look exactly how to capitalize as an investor, how do you, sir, spot acquisition targets . Because if you get in before there is a play made for them, am i right, you can really ride the wave of momentum with a stock . Its possible. Certainly one hopes for that. The principle factors one would look for, remember, this is a growthstarved environment. So if one can find a company growing, particularly at the top line, thats certainly one, big, healthy check mark. A healthy cash flow is another. A third element would be the opportunity for cost efficiencies and reductions. And the fourth, which should never be omitted is the quality of management. Liz yeah. Youve got quality of management particularly important as one considers private equity moving in because by and large they dont have the managerial resources to run a company. Liz yeah. Well that is how buffett plays it. He buys the company and keeps Good Management in place. You have to keep the jockey and the horse. Great to see you, bill. Happy new year. Thank you for having me. Liz mesirow Investment Banking financial advisor. Busy year for this guy. Closing bell eight minutes, eight minutes away. Coming up we give you a few market tricks experts are using to make most of both their wins, maybe more importantly their losses of 2015. Make the most of your losses. Well teach you how in just a second. Dow is up 188 points. This is the one place were not afraid to fail. Some of these experiments may not work. But a few might shape the future. Like turning algae into biofuel. New technology for capturing co2 emissions. And cars twice as efficient as the average car today. Ideas exxonmobil scientists are working on to make energy go further. No matter how many tries it takes. Energy lives here. Liz less than five minutes away from closing bell. Were Still Holding on to gains with a lot of window dressing and bargain hunting going on. Wer short of dow turning positive for the year. Which stocks are at alltime highs . Turn to new york stock exchange, gerri willis give us the names. Thats right, liz. Amazon, google, mcdonalds. Amazon up 2 . They reported three million prime members in single week in december. That high, 29dole lars. The stock up 123 points. Google another stock here, hitting alltime high up 1. 5 . New high, 798. Yeartodate that stock up. Mcdonalds up 1 at new high. Trading as high as 120. Yeartodate the stock is up 28 . Liz, i want to tell you there are reports tonight amazon and google, could, could, be added to the dow. Every once in a while the dow gets reconfigured, most recently adding nike and apple. Well have to wait and see. That would be very big news on this floor. At any rate. Liz yeah, gerri, big as adding what has to be jettisoned and kicked out. Word it might be travelers. Travelers has 34 billion market cap. Alphabet and amazon, 522 billion, 314 billion. Were bringing in lee munson. Were sprinting to the closing bell, lee. Number one thing investors need to do at the next couple sessions . Need to tax harvesting. Take profits on tech but dont write a check april 15th. What were doing, what people watching this should be doing, look at big winners, in the technology area. Probably in the technology area. Take a look at biggest losers, probably in the Energy Sector. You want to sell some profits in there but offset it with some loss. Heres the thing. Dont mistake a bad Price Performance like exxonmobil down 15 it year versus a bad company. Maybe some dotcom heading to zero. For instance, you can sell exxonmobil and go in and buy etf, xle which tracks Energy Sector for 31 days. Go back into exxonmobil and able to book the loss once the taxman cometh next year in april. Then if you do have dogs and looking for money, think about next year. When monday comes around you have to think yourself is dollar and energy going this up and down this far into the sky . I would rather get Something Like efa which tracks all the big developed International Companies outside of the u. S. Why . Because they can sell stuff and export to the United States with a cheaper currency. Liz ah. Were looking at top of efa. It had 40 runup. Lee, great ideas. Well put them on fake boos. Com liz claman. Making it harder to get through Airport Security in the new year. What you need to know before you board a plane. Hint, your drivers license may not be enough. Melissa update on infidelity site, ashley madison, hopefully you dont, after leaks of customer names and personal information it has seen a surge in subscriptions. Go figure. We have details. David go figure. Stocks rallying into the close. [closing bell rings] as the bells sound on wall street. It turned up the way it turned today. Look at oil. Oil was up almost 3 .
