Just a few hours after the event david Vice President mike pence also slamming Media Coverage of the president s response. Take a listen to that. We in the National Media spend more time criticizing president s word than criticizing those who perpetrated the violence to begin with. We should be putting the attention where it belongs, and that is on these extremeist groups that need to be pushed out of the public debate entirely. David so, is the medias reaction to the president s statement overblown . Trump 20 to Advisory Board member. We have Brunell Donald shea, former d. C. Democratic party chair scott bolden. Good to see you all. Good afternoon. David good afternoon. When i first heard the president , that was after, i was glued to the television, i was not in charlottesville, but i watched from stem to stern all the fox news coverage. I saw a lot of helmets on the atright people, nazis, i saw a lot of helmets on i dont know what they call themselves. Whatever it is, weve seen them before in action. Looks like two sides were culpable. That is what the president reacted to. Are you surprised reaction to the what president said. Media and left are trying to stoke the outrain machine, david, that is very clear. The president was right to condemn violence on all sides. Since people like david duke are contending hey, president was elected by folks like us, White Nationalists, White Supremacists it would be salutary for the president , would be helpful for the president to state specifically the White Supremacist Movement is not a friend of mine or of ours. David that is fair point. David duke himself actually criticized the president as well, saying that hey, you shouldnt criticize us. So he took it personally, what the president said as a personal does the president have to go beyond that and specifically point him out say look, i discredit anything that david duke says about mae or my presidency . Well, ill tell you this the president has done that. Even as far as back year 2,000, he has been disavowing david duke for many, many years. Also remember this, david duke did endorse Keith Ellison who was the democratic partys, deputy, for the, democratic party. And so, he didnt disavow david duke. I think the president made an excellent decision as a leader, to disavow violence of any and every kind, any bigotry and hatred. Lets not forget, these extremists are only a miniscule tiny portion of our america. Most americans are not like these people. David agree with you. Were loving, were freedomloving, kind, care about one another. So the president did his job. The thing that bothers me about, what has been happening, frankly the press whether it is us or everybody else is somewhat involved in this, this is such a small minority. We have tendency to blow up stuff that looks on television. Tiny, tiny. Blow up stuff . David these factions have been at each other a long time. This goes back years where you have both the david duke, kkk, sort of nazi, neonazis going against the anarchists and antifa. This has been happening for a while, has it not. Yeah on the part of White National its, neonazis and others. That doesnt mean it is normalized and ought to be denounced right away. David wait a minute. The violence was denounced right away. No it, it was deannounced by all sides. The problem it was denounced by the president by all sides. I got to till something, i dont know what you were watching but i got to tell you the White Supremacists that were this, they came with weapons. David scott, so did the other. Scott, come on. Come on scott. I was watching. The excuse me. Religious leaders. Youre interrupting me. David i was watching the coverage that would showed helmeted, jack boot characters on both sides of the barrier. You saw the same. I did not see david oh, please. I did not see the same, if they were, got to tell you what happens, circumstances are these, who is the antagonist . But for the White Supremacists nationalists being there, who came heavily armed, right . You had religious they had a permit to be there as well. Of course they dids right . Okay. But the president , who is the moral leader of this country, has a problem with attacking or calling out neonazis, white supremacist. Absolutely false. Highly inappropriate. Absolutely false. David go ahead, nan. I dont get to finish my comment. My goodness gracious. David if you want to talk a half hour, fine, put a final button on it. He attacks everybody else, but wont attack hate groups who support him and celebrate him, not attacking them. David nan, you have said that he should bo a step further than what he did or step further than what the Vice President did or attorney general did. Three officials including the president who attacked violence. Some more specifically. Should the president come out to say i condemn david duke. I condemn the kkk. I condemn the at right organizations involved in violence on saturday . As brunell pointed out, david, the president has specifically condemned what david duke stands for. Not since saturday. Not since saturday. Reiterate that. Many times. Vice president pence and general sessions also the white house spokesperson have all absolutely come out to say president does not support White Supremacists. David i want you to respond to the fact that some people are blaming all trump supporters, i would assume that would include you for what happened in saturday, the reaction of the president , not speaking up enough a they say they did. Here is mary anne marsh, she was on our channel before. She was on, she, was advisor to john kerry, by the way, a strong person in the democratic party. Here is how she responded about trump people and their responsibility in this. He did not condemn neonazis. He did not condemn racists of the did not condemn factists who brought their hatred and violence and death to the streets of charlottesville. He can clean that up this afternoon 48 hours later. Too little, too late. This should be no surprise. The very people in the streets of scharre motzville in militia gear are very people who supported him throughout the campaign and will continue to support him down to his last days. David now, implication goes on to sort of condemn, kind of old deplorables line, if you voted for trump and you support him even now you through everything you have through, there has to be something wrong with you. There is absolutely zero wrong with me and so many other people who supported our president. The hatred that is going on the streets in charlottes, went on, it has been going on for a decade. It happened under several other president s. Trump through, our president will the not be the last president it happens under. But i will tell you is this, we are going to support our president. He has said he disavows hatred, bigotry of all types on the left or right. And that is what a leader is supposed to do. He has addressed it blank he hadly, put it a way not one of those groups can put their chest out and say hey he didnt disavow me. He disavowed us all. David is there anything wrong with brunell. I wouldnt label all of trumps supporters david deplorable. I certainly wouldnt do that there is segment of trumps support, core support, do identify with the hate groups. David hold on a second dont you think is one of his core supporters . Core supporters of donald j. Trump are not extremists. They are whites hispanics and blacks that are put donald trump in office. I agree with that. David scott, last word to you. There are core supporters who identify with White National its and neonazis who support donald trump. Those individuals, donald trump as president , i think has to specifically name them and denounce them because he is now representing all of us, or supposed to be representing all of us. Democratic david ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much. Go with war with everyone else. Go to where with them. David everybody wants the last word. We are out of time. President trump back at the white house today focusing on big agenda items. Blake burman is there with the very latest. Reporter david, you were discussing issues with charlottesville at this hour. President trump meeting with two top Law Enforcement officials attorney general Jeff Sessions speaking with the president along with newlyinstalled fbi director Christopher Wray. Later this afternoon the president will turn his attention to china. He will sign an executive memorandum that directs his u. S. Trade representative Robert Lighthiser to look at chinese trade policies and one of the main issues here according to Senior Administration within the white house is the theft of intellectual property which Administration Officials describe as major problem. This could potentially lead administration at some point down the line to triggering a provision with the 1974 trade act would allow them to start negative shuns with china or even potentially levy tariffs. However i want to hit the pause button there for a second because that potential is long way down the line. At least a year or so out. What is happening today is merely the first step in the process to take a look at chinese trade policies. The chinese, david, taken a notice as state newspaper said this could potentially quote, poison the relationship between the United States and china. However President Trump on this day continued to direct his ire toward many of these trade deals. As he tweeted out the following earlier today, and i quote, obstructionist democrats have given us or not fixed some of the worst trade deals in world history. I am changing that fast. Now after he signs that executive memorandum, dade, president will also meet with his National Economic council shortly after that. On the agenda there, china, trade, im also told as prince pills are in the room, potentially tax reform as well. David they seem to get along so well at dinner, head of china and United States. Well see how this works out. Thank you very much. Blake at the white house. Meanwhile stocks are the big story today, kicking off the week higher despite all the trouble domestic and international. S p 500 on pace for biggest gains since june. Keep it here on fox business. Melissa francis and i will have the latest on markets apbig stories of the day. 4 00 p. M. , after the bell close. Dont miss after the bell with melissa and me. Markets are shrugging off north korea. Kim jongun says he is ready to make good on his threats but were talking a slightly different tune. New warning from kim coming next. Got you outnumbered. The dinosaurs extinction. Dont listen to them. Not appropriate. Now im mashing these potatoes with my stick of butter. Why dont you sit over here. Find your awesome with the Xfinity Stream app. Included with xfinity tv. More to stream to every screen. David new nuclear worries. North korea state run tv warning of Second Nuclear war should the south korea and u. S. Hold a military exercise. We have retired Navy Captain Chuck Nash on what the u. S. Should be doing right now. You look at what the market is doing right now, the dow is up 158 points. What mike pompeo, the head of cia said yesterday seemed to calm a lost nerves that in fact were not going to be entering a nuclear war. Today we had oped piece in the wall street journal, Rex Tillerson and secretary of defense mattis both suggesting that, you know, were far from there yet. So what should we believe, the rhetoric coming out of north korea which hasnt changed much in 20 years or leader of our country are saying seems to be calming the markets . What you said about the u. S. Leaders calming the markets is absolutely true because this is really the first major foreign policy, National Security test for the trump administration, and its remarkable to me, despite the fact that the administration has many positions unfilled across state, dod, other parts of the government, there is a unified position coming out of the leadership. The oped that you just mentioned by mattis and tillerson speaks in very clear tones. David it does. They talk about the fact that precondition for any negotiation with the North Koreans includes an end to their Ballistic Missile activity and their Nuclear Weapons activity. This is not negotiations of the past and it has a effect on International Community. David were a long way from nuclear war. Captain nash, there is big overhanging question which is kim. Youre about to see, this is in the white house the president went from his new jersey retreat to the white house today. Were not sure what he will be talking about. We can guess it might have something to do with charleston. It might have something to do with north korea. We have the twominute warning. Captain nash, i want you to get you in quick, what about kim . There is overhanging question whether he is crazy enough to do something that requires a military response by us . I think he is willing to press our buttons but not press the button because if he knows if he presses the button and launches against guam he will pay a severe personality that could lead to see regime change. David what if he launches at all, captain nash. There could be another test coming soon. We are already numb to the test thing. When does he do something that violate the sensibilities to the point where he is coming after a u. S. Territory, i. E. , guam, or an ally, i. E. , japan. If that were to happen, all hell is going to break loose. The chinese told him if he does that they will not intervene and he is on his own. He will continue to press our buttons but not the button. David chiron, the death of auto warmbier, that was personal for all americans otto warm brier i think it affected the president personally no . Yes, absolutely f you think about what the administration has been saying, numerous people in the National Security community in the past few days, theyre separating out the north Korean People who are suffering at an unprecedented level from the regime and theyre making it clear were not antiNorth Koreans. We are deeply concerned about the illicit behavior of the regime. If i add something to david sure, i may cut you off anytime because the president is about to speak but with that proviso, go ahead. Im a professor so im used to talking a lot and quickly. I want to say it is not just the United States. It is also our regional allies. The Japanese Legislature in the past two years have talked about iting willingness to take defensive measures, maybe even preemption, preemptive actions against the nor koreans. David interesting. South koreans are speeding up their thaad deployments because of north korean behavior. This is widening crisis which the u. S. Will not be the only one to respond. David that is a great point. I think chinese and North Koreans are beginning to understand that the International Community is much more in lockstep with the u. S. Than at any point in the past. David captain nash, we were concerned about a change in the south korean government. The fact they seem to take a more dovish view of north korea . Some people suggesting they may even reject some thad antimissile systems that are there. It appears theyre getting a backbone, no . Absolutely. As a matter of fact, the new president of south korea when the United States was talking about building up thawed resources in south korea, he said no, we dont want that he had a change of heart. There is no reason to deal with the north korean dictator without shows of strength and resolve. David we want to thank kiron, captain nash, appreciate being here, professor and captain nash. We have with us charlie gasparino, who needs no introduction and nan hayworth is back with us. We assume the president will shortly talk about what happened in charleston. In fact, charlie gasparino, the fact he may specifically point out individuals and organizations that he didnt on saturday after the riots happened. I think its a little late. Listen, one of the reasons why conservatives like myself initially were turned off by donald trump i remember. During the campaign where he was asked a question about david duke and he so obviously did not want to address, you know, whether david duke was supporting him. He said he didnt even know who david duke was i believe. It was so obvious he was playing to that part of the electorate. I think one of the problems that was with cnns jake tapper. He did that. Jake tapper said im talking about david duke and kkk. He says honestly, this is trump talking, i dont know david duke. I dont believe i ever met him. Im pretty sure i didnt meet him, i just dont know anything about him. Too late to say that. That is baloney. This is late as well. We should point something out. This is the problem with donald trump he is not a conservative of the if you know anything about the conservative movement bull buckley, one of the fathers of modernday conservatism as it exists today, did all he can to root out the far right from the conservative party, the john birchers, kkk element or some father in 30s, rabblerouser. David even inch rand. Inch rand, Different Reasons because she was atheist. Bill buckley was devout catholic. If you know anything about the conservative movement you would know that donald trump doesnt know anything about the conservative movement because he is not a conservative. David nan . The president is now very much aware of the fact that he is the man who must represent the nation and unify the nation. He made a strong statement on saturday. He clearly, i think will now make absolutely sure that his mouth has been the one to say, look, White Supremacy, kkk, are not part of my world. I am not here to support that kind of vial rhetoric. Why is he always late on this . I just dont get it. David you mentioned yourself. He is not a politician. He is not used to doing this. Does he get any excuse for that . Lets be real clear here. Why do we know he knows david duke . We know he knows david duke because he made public statements about david duke and corrosive influence on politics, donald trump dating back 20 years ago. So he is smart enough to know david duke is radioactive. I really think donald trump believes these right, far right people, who are coalition of Uber National its, neonazis klansmen, they are a marge again of victory in his coalition. David i dont know about that. Why would you play ftse . David such a small group of people, my question though nan is he stupid . David why would he cut any kind of space at all for a group that is so marginal as this group is . He is not cutting space for them. What he was saying on saturday was perfectly appropriate response especially in that moment. That was not appropriate response. Let nan finish. As you pointed out rightly, david, there was violence coming from both sides of this not at this one. David yes there was. Who started it . Who started it . David dont ask the question. Youre making such a stupid remark, david. David Doug Mckelway was there not only before the violence was going on but after, the antikkk crowd, the nazi kkk crowd came in were just as well uniformed. What bothers me, nan, is the fact that you had governor mcaulifee, terry mcaulifee, fine he pointed out the kkk and all the other nazilike organizations that were there, why didnt he put out any leftists involved you can see in all the video were involved . Why dont democrats, im not giving republicans any slack by the way, why dont democrats call out the antifan . They should. I, they are agreed, antifan is not antifascist. It is fascist. They are violent. Of course. We know that. Lets be real clear here. You need to reject on all sides. President said that. Lets not, at this network lets not say it was the antifa that start it. David i never said that. I hope so. David what were saying there was, anybody who uses violence to pursue a political motive inside the United States should be condemned. Anybody. Right. David whether it is in response or not. Blake is standing by at the white house. Blake do we know specifically that the president is going to be talking about what happened on saturday . Reporter Nothing Official yet from the white house, david. This was somewhat rushed together here, this statement were expecting from the president at any moment now, not on his official schedule though. They did have a bit of a hole here today, as he met with the fbi director Christopher Wray, attorney general Jeff Sessions on charlottesville. I think it is a pretty safe bet at this point expect the president to come to the cameras here at any moment now speak about charlottesville. Right now the Vice President , david, is in south america, mike pence. He has been doing a whole lot of damage control. I think you could say for the president on this day, on that statement, that you guys were just discussing a moment ago, whether you believe it was wrong stuff or not strong enough, very clearly the administration feels that this is something that they need to get out ahead of. The Vice President standing behind the president s statement, but now you will hear from the president himself at any moment, we are led to believe from the white house on charlottesville. Keep in mind the president over the weekend made that initial statement. There was a paper statement from the white house that took it a bit further. But we havent heard from President Trump himself since the white house tried to clean it up over the weekend. David david we just received confirmation it will be about charlottesville. We know now from the white house but nobody, like you, blake, is there covering the talk in the hallways and stuff, what is going on in the white house. There is this suggestion, of course a lot of people are using it for their own political means, but that this will sort of bring out the fight, infighting that is going on in the white house between the probannon and antibannon forces et cetera. What have you heard, if anything about this . Reporter im not sure how much of this per se is linked to palace intrigue behind you know, with steve bannon and then the rumors, the mumbling, that he may be on the outs again. This, david, is something that caught the administration at least over the last 24, 48 hours, i dont want to say by surprise, but it sprung up there in charlottesville, but very clearly something they have to deal with now. It is appropriate that the president is here at the white house. Keep in mind after this, he is leaving later this afternoon. He will be doing some stuff with china later in the day but he will be boeing back to the new york, new jersey area the next week. I think you see construction behind me. Potentially fortuitous, that the president is here at white house today to deliver this statement maybe his golf club in new jersey. David we had two minute warning 25 minutes ago. Reporter welcome to the white house. David there is probably a lot of rewriting going on. Charlie, what is the latest you heard . Blake is right. Bannon knows he fighting for his jobs. He lives to fight another day as they said yesterday. That he did have contact with the president. Fight. And day, this is, he is really, his job is in jeopardy. Really has nothing to do with this. Has to do with palace intrigue between mcplasters, kelly, generals asserting power. Tightening the ship. They see him as some sort of an outlyer. David we should mention general mcmasters had Three Chances three opportunities on meet the press to say everything was okay between he and bannon and he never specifically said that it was. So i mean there was an opportunity for him to put it all to rest, mcmasters, and he didnt. It is not to rest. It will be the president s call on this from what i understand. It could happen soon. Here is the interesting thing, i was watching rival network and old colleague of ours, Anthony Scaramucci going on there, talking about the bannon, breitbartization of trump, he actually laid this trump, sort of inane way he answered charlottesville question initially on bannon and the breitbartization of the, of the white house. I thought it was such an absurd comment to make. Listen, i know steve bannon pretty well. He is not goosestepping around the white house. He is not. Steve bannon has core beliefs about immigration, americas National Security, the wall david doesnt mean he is a nazi. Doesnt mean he is a fascist. He is far from that. He once used the term altright in a way that was wrong. He knows he misused it. That will always stick to him. He once said breitbart david nan, the point there is a attempt by people antitrump, certainly media, Mainstream Media to create this umbrella that everybody that is with bannon and everybody in the altright world is a fascist et cetera. Bannon, part of the problem is bannons own, he made a comment he was altright. A lot is antitrumpism. David this is beyond that i would contend. This is attempt to delegitimate eyes the entire American Population and electorate that snorted election of President Trump. To back it up a bit further, look at root causes of discontent. One of the major root causes of discontent is economic despair. The policies of the last eight years that we brought President Trump into office to counteract, to remedy, that is the reason he is there, because economic desperation will foment discord and hostility. Prosperous people who feel secure about their jobs, about being able to take care of their families, about the dignity of work will not be going out into the streets on either side to create up rest. David let me bring blake back. The administration is not trying to fix the connie in a vacuum. There are things that 457 like charlottesville and things like trump tweets that get in the way exactly what the president s Economic Team is specifically trying to do, cut taxes. Reporter look at the timeline that they have laid out here, david this is something, we are in the august recess. They have a couple weeks to hang out and play. In september, october, taxes in the senate. And try to get some sort of resolution in november before they cut town again in december. That is what they say. We heard lots of talk with health care. Of course, as you just mentioned all these other sort of issues rise up, like what were dealing with today and over the weekend charlottesville. David charlie, you and i were at a dipper with kevin brady, he was outlining his position. Head of house ways and means committee. They are the ones to write tax laws. He has reasonable, seems to me, a tax plan. He thinks it will be easier to do than health care. What do you think. Will it work . How much can we talk . Cat is out of the bag. It was supposed to be off the record. David we talked about dinner. We can talk about it in generalities. Not just from the dinner, but from their overall plan i dont know exactly how they will score the thing. I think he was kind of like obtuse with that. I dont think they know exactly how to score meaning is it cbo score of deficits or whatever and david he had a lot of disdain for that, not only at that dinner but on interview with maria, et cetera. Dynamic scoring. But they all feel handcuffed by it. We dont know exactly what the tax cut will be, especially corporate and individuals. David the rate you mean, how much it will be brought down. Is the rate going down to 15, 20, 25. It is just 25 on corporate rate is not that much. Effective rate is 27. David what steve forbes says if i have to choose between 12 1 2 corporate rate in ireland, i already moved my base to ireland, bring it down to 25 im not going to move back. David, i think you and i, because we spoke a little bit about this, the battle lines on taxes are not, is not, are not as difficult to get through as health care but you and i also know that there are a lot of difficulties in this health care plan. David in the tax plan . In the tax plan. Look at this way, any republican congressman from new york, new jersey, or california end deduction for state and local taxes . It aint happening. That hurts you in one way. Is tom cotton, from what i understand, is hellbent basically preserve the carried Interest Deduction that is very beneficial for hedge funds, excuse me, private equity fund. Gives them a tax break which a lot of people think helps them invest. There is a lot of stuff here, man. David nan, the key is, whether you have the Republican Opposition of the establishment republicans, the same people who bowed out, Susan Collins of the world, even john mccain, are they going to be as vociferously antitax change as they were antihealth care change . Theyre not helping us if they cant understand that we have to move together toward, for each individual senator and member will be an imper february plan but i know personally having been in congress in a swing district how very, very difficult it is, charlie is absolutely right, for someone from the state of new york to go against deductibility of state taxes. What would you do . As member of congress, as member of congress from a swing district i would have opposed it most likely. What about get rid of deductions. Personally, as someone who feels we have rationalize the tax code, ive been a steve forbes of flat tax forever, for a lot of Different Reasons, i personally think it should go because why should american taxpayers finance the state of new york . David blake, you see these guys close up and personal, mnuchin, gary cohn, et cetera, do you get the sense when you catch them in the hallway, are you guys still have time to work on the tax code on the new tax code . Are you really got the nose to the grind stone . Or do these other issues distract you from that . Reporter here is what i tell you when i speak to folks here at white house, they say there will be some sort of framework, david, that gets put out here bit joint parties in september. I know there was a story, i dont know last week or something, there might be something more than that, three to five pages. David right. It was blown up into some big thing and im just told, no, that this is kind of nothing out of the ordinary and that the timeline that these folks still talk about is as follows, and that you know, when they come back here, mnuchin, gary cohn, kevin brady, foals you were talking about, add in ryan, mcconnell, and hatch, they will put some sort of framework and will be in the ball of congress after that. David blake, were 35 minutes after we were told this little talk was going to happen. There he is. There is president of the United States, donald trump. Lets listen in. Thank you. Im in washington today to meet with my Economic Team about trade policy and major tax cuts and reform. We are renegotiating trade deals an making them good for the american worker, and its about time. Our economy is now strong. The stock market continues to hit record highs, unemployment is at a 16year low, and businesses are more optimistic than ever before. Companies are moving back to the United States and bringing many thousands of jobs with them. We have already created over one million jobs since i took office. We will be discussing Economic Issues in greater detail later this afternoon but based on the events that took place over the weekend in charlottesville, virginia, i would like to provide the nation with an update on the ongoing federal response to the horrific attack and violence that was witnessed by everyone. I just met with fbi director Christopher Wray and attorney general Jeff Sessions. The department of justice has opened a civil rights investigation into the deadly car attack that killed one innocent american and wounded 20 others. To anyone in acted criminally in weekends racist violence, you will be held fully accountable. Justice will be delivered. As i said on saturday, we condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence t has no place in america. And as i have said many times before, no matter the color of our skin, we all live under the same laws. We all salute the same great flag, and we are all made by the same almighty god. We must love each other, show affection for each other and unite together in condemnation of hatred, bigotry and violence. We must rediscover the bond of love and loyalty that bring us together as americans. Racism is evil, and those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the kkk, neonazis, White Supremacists and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as americans. We are a nation founded on the truth, that all of us are created equal. We are equal in the eyes of our creator. We are equal under the law. And we are equal under our constitution. Those who spread violence in the name of bigotry strike at the very core of america. Two days ago a Young America woman, heather happen. Ayer was tragically killed. Her death fills us with grief. We send her family our thoughts, our prayers and our love. We also mourn the two Virginia State troopers who died in service to their community, their commonwealth, their company. Troopers, jay cullen and bert bates exemplify the very best of america. Our hearts go out to their families and their friend and every member of american Law Enforcement. These three fallen americans embod did goodness and decency of our nation. In times such as these, america has always shown its true character. Responding to hate with love, division with unity, and violence with an unwaivering resolve for justice. As a candidate i promised to restore law and order to our country and our federal Law Enforcement agencies are following through on that pledge. We will spare no resource in fighting so that every american child can grow up free from violence and fear. We will defend and protect the sacred rights of all americans. And we will Work Together so that every sit separate in this blessed lan is free to follow their dreams in their hearts and express the love and joy in their souls. Thank you, god bless you, and god bless america. Thank you very much. [shouting questions] david just waiting to hear the president takes any questions. Lets listen. He is out. Okay. Sometimes, as he is leaving the room because he still hasnt caught up with with the etiquette in the white house room. Charlie you have the toughest critic. I want to apologize to you didnt mean White Supremacists start. David right, anybody engaged in violence as an excuse for political gathering is wrong but go ahead. My bigger point, im sorry david on trump. On trump was that the speech he gave right now which was a very good one you should have given immediately. He could have given immediately. He knew to give it immediately. David has time wiped out any good the speech has done . Politically he is being hurt and moderate republicans are starting to say, here is the thing with the conservative movement, the reason why bill buckley went to Great Lengths to get rid of the crazies because he knew they would be something destructive to a conservative movement. He knew there was that element there. He saw it as something that was existential to the movement. David all right. Playing footsie with those guys you will get in trouble. David im with elizabeth man mcdonald who is here to join us. We had statement from Jeff Sessions our Vice President and president himself, do you think it is too late or is this enough to calm the currents . Time and again the white house has to understand, your first words, media will stick you to it. Democrats will hold you to it. This, i unfortunately i dont think this is enough. Even though h. R. Mcmaster came out and denounced the far right. The White Supremacists started it. They started it. You have to say to every town and village across the country, if you see them coming to town, you Better Believe antifa will be there. Im not condoning them either. We reported heavily on antifas destruction. Theyre awful. Gao says there have been 62 far right attacks since 9 11. 106 people have been killed. Islamic terror attacks, 119 of them. This is white soup prem civil, period. David nan, as emac is saying, it does draw in, whenever you have violence seen acceptable by anybody, important to condemn it immediately when it happens, it immediately spawns all sorts of other violent creations, does it not . I think the president proved with this statement he hand be a big a man as his office demands. I think the statement that he made on saturday he probably felt quite sincerely covered what he needed to say. Clearly he heard from many corners that he needed to say more. You know what . He came forward and said more. He made an very eloquent statement that said what needed to be said. Violence, hatred, bigotry on all sides are deplorable and White Supremacism is not part of the world that any of us should be involved in. Certainly isnt not part of my world as your president. David we have to button it at that thank you very much. Markets are still rallying despite charlottesville, north korea, despite everything going on in the world. The markets are okay with it. David President Trump touting stocks and jobs at the top of his statement moments ago. Look at this. He is not off at all. Stocks brushing off charlottesville. Brushing off north korea. All those concerns worldwide come secondary to the bottom line. The bottom line is pretty good according to investors. Forbes publisher Rich Karlgaard and smart trade cofounder dr barton. Rich, to what do you accredit this market rise today . I know a lot of thought perhaps the market was too booten down before. Why up 147 right now . Well, you know, you look at the recent, most recent gdp report, 2. 6 growth. In old days that wasnt much. But off of the last eight years it is good momentum. If we get tax reform it goes up over three, the holy grail and the markets are excited about that. David im assuming from what rich said he doesnt think tax cuts have been factored into this market. Do you agree . I think they have already taken that in from november to now. The huge run up weve had but rich was right, thats still out there. What were seeing the markets tell us loudly and clearly is those tax cuts are still first and foremost in investors and traders mind and that is what is driving this market up. Over the weekend we got the cia says Nuclear Threat from cree was not imminent and immediately what we see is the markets going back to business as usual which is optimism about a growth path that rich gave us. David but you know, rich, it is not just wall street thats happy about this. The wall street journal had a terrific piece today about folks who have been unemployed for years, permanently up employed theyre called. Focus on a guy who was unemployed since 2008. Finally he is employed again. People who just had adjusted their own lives to the fact they would never work again are getting back into the workforce. That is not wall street. Thats main street. Yeah and i think you have seen the first consequences trump had on this economy have applied right there, because the Regulatory Reform thats going on, i. E. , rolling back of the obama regulatory state, is attributable, it has caused that jump from sub2 growth to 2. 5, 2. 6 . You combine that with taxes, you get over three. Consequence on job creation market will be even greater. David in the previous administration, i dont mean to pick on the obama administration, in those times markets would rise despite the economy. Sometimes the economy had terrible numbers, whether it was jobs numbers or gdp numbers or whatever, but the market would jump like craze say because they were focused on the fed. Now the market seems focused on bottom line accounts, hough people are making how many people going back into the job force, that is a very positive sign, is it not . Oh it is a very positive sign. I think, david, youre exactly right. When you add 3. 7 trillion to the punchbowl, you can throw a pretty big party. That is what we kept seeing over and over again and now every time that there was something happens, we know were not focused on the fed because what is happening is that when something comes out that is good news the market goes up. When were focused on the fed worried about if theyre going to tighten, good news like the recent employment report last week would have knocked markets down and that is just not happening. David i agree. Rich, one of the reasons im hopeful cutting the Corporate Tax we get a cut in the individual tax because Everybody Needs to feel this. I mean if it just, if the tax break that comes out of Congress Just focuses on corporations, doesnt focus on everybodys tabs load i think thats problem, dont you . Well, sure. I think we need greater prosperity and prosperity has to be more broadly shared than it has been shared because weve had great prosperity if you live in new york city, or Silicon Valley or where i live. But you look at Political Division that that disparity has caused, and greatest cure to that political rancor that is out there, would be broadly shared prosperity. David we have to leave it at that Rich Karlgaard, my friend, my forbes on fox friend, thanks for being here. Dr barton, great to see you as well, appreciate it. Ashley welcome back to hour two of cavuto coast to coast, im david add manned in for neil cavuto. President trump condemning. Trump racism is evil and those who cause violence are criminals and thugs, including the kkk, neonazis, white supremacist, and other hate groups that are repugnant to we hold dear as americans. David former state representative, Washington Examiner writer, emily, and former invite chair of diversity outreach for trump. Were happy that we could get her back. Thank you for coming in. God bless you. David thank you. God bless you as well. Colonel shafer, theres an interesting phenomenon weve seen before. Frankly, ewes it throughout the history of the 21st century where the far right and the far left kind of come together into the distinctions between them blur, particularly as you see more clearly their displays of violence, no . Oh, absolutely. Look, i think the violence which started, frankly, before the inauguration, jim speaking of left and right, we were writing together at the inauguration ran into where violence started there. I happened to be in charlottesville. People tend to forget that the ku klux klan was created by the left. It was after the civil war, the nazi movement, hitlers movement was created as National Socialist a social movement. So youre right. But the bottom line is this its all violence. And i think President Trump appropriately called out everyone regarding the fact that violence is not an acceptable method of expressing political speech. And this is something he said has got to stop. David well, he said it too, don. Are you satisfied with what he said . Hey, david. It was a great statement. Unfortunately, it was 48 hours too late. But credit where its due. It was a great statement. Is this statement reflective of the president s truly moral convictions on this issue, or is it reflective of a political decision that he has made that it hurts him more politically to not say anything. However, its a good statement. However, im also concerned with the idea that steve bannon, sam clovis, steven miller, and Sebastion Gorka who have been white supremacist sympathizers still sit at positions in the white house. So lets look forward to today and see if the actions are reflective of the statement that he just gave a moment ago. David you know some of those people who he just mentioned im sure you would disagree with the characterization as sympathetic in any way as white supremacist. But to the extent that you know donald trump and to the extent that you know the people who work with him, its impossible to get into the head of what the true moral convictions are. But do you see any signs of racism or White Supremacy in the white house . You know, i am ive been pretty much outside. But from what im gathering, everybody in there is, you know, looking out for the nation. And ill respond to that 48 hours. The president made a blanket statement. He said he does not condone bigotry, hatred on any side left or right. And as far as im concerned, all he did was break it down a little bit more by adding the kkk and adding these other people. But i would say this he came out with the unity and passion and love that we needed to hear as a nation, and i guess even though may have been a little apprehensive about his first statement, i believe he knocked it out the park letting them know he is the president of the United States of america, the red, white, and blue, and it doesnt matter what color you are. Racism is evil. And i will say this too. If there is any extremism in our government, i believe that the right man is on the job, which is general kelly, to root it out. So i have faith in my president and faith in the chief of staff on making sure that everything is david emily, to the extent that this country can move beyond race politics and the colorblind justice that dr. Martin luther king talked about, the wall street journal has a lead editorial today called the poison of identity politics, and they say that that wonderful colorblind justice, about which the Civil Rights Movement used to stand has turned into identity obsessiveness. And they say politics fixated on indelible differences will inevitably lead to extremists exploit in ugly ways on both the right and the left. Is the real danger here that weve become so obsessive about racial identity that it gives room for these racist groups either on the right or the left to pop up . Well, i definitely think that were in a place in society where whether it is the left or whether it is really far right fringed elements, they are obsessed with dividing us on the basis of race. I think thats to just. I think its disgusting, and i think it does so much more to divide us than unite us. And i think thats why we have these movements. On the right, these far right people i hesitate to even call them right. They are reacting to i think a lot of what theyre seeing from the left. Which is on either side, its thickening. Theres no excuse for it. But we have to stop talking about these things so obsessively and recognize the commonness in our humanity. David one thing, though, colonel shafer, we do have the First Amendment and as repulsive and frankly, it would make me roll up my sleeves and punch somebody is that the sort of torch rally that you had in front of now, i dont want to insight any violence, and i dont want any tweets about people saying i would do it because i wouldnt. But when you see people spouting the kind of absolute hatred that you see on both the left and the right, it does make you mad. I mean, how do you is there any way we used to have laws against protests that insight violence. I think we put that to bed. But is there going to be any measure of an attempt to kind of revive any of those laws . Well, look, lets put this both ways. You cannot demand and this is what happened under president obama. Anyone cannot demand the violent overthrough of the government. David well, you mentioned on january 20th we saw the demonstrations that led to riots in the streets of washington that were for exactly that and yet i dont know if anybody was arrested. Right. But we have to look, i welcome the idea of free speech. You know, and what i resent is the Mainstream Media trying to paint the conservatives to be part of this altright. Its not true. I result i resent that for the left as well. But we have to focus on whats best for the country. Violence is not adequate ever. David don, what do you think . Im somewhat bewildered that were having this conversation, it has been part of the conversation for the last week that theres some type of moral equivalencecy between protesters, antiracist protesters on the left and whats happening on the right. Lets be very clear. There is no moral equivalencecy to the ku klux klan and the nazis. Theyre perhaps their only approach perhaps by isis. Yet the president couldnt find it in his heart today to condemn nazis. Theres no moral equivalency between black lives matter and what were seeing on the left and what we saw on the streets of charlottesville. Lets not call them the right. David no, i call them nazis. But the point is that any group. These are nazis. David i heard you, don. But let me give a chance for bernell to come in. The fact that anybody who takes up a stick and thinks a stick works better or should be used in Public Discourse as an excuse for some kind of freedom of speech, anybody, whether theyre on the right or the left is just as abhorrent in my eyes. Absolutely. Any kind of extremism. And theres this other thing that nobodys bringing up. All of those journalists that were that urine was poured all over them by this on the left. No ones talking about that. But what i will say is that the president has put his finger his mouth now on this situation, and he is saying im not apart of any extremist group. The only group im part of is the American People group. That we are behind him 100 . Of course when he steps up to this level and say enough is enough. We are behind him, we love america, and we are not going to let these small, minuscule groups separate us and divide us any longer. David but, emily, its more than the groups. This thing gets inevitably pulled into the political sphere. You can sense it coming, even as we were watching the riots unfold on our television screens, you knew this was going to be sort of dragged into the political arena. No matter what the president had said or when he said it, wee not have been condemned in some way for some association for what happened in charlottesville . He would have. And, look, im in the camp that i think he should have came thats caused by the White Nationalist. But theres already a preconceived notion by some on the left that he is racist. So this was going to be political, no matter what. Its silly for us to pretend that there arent elements on both sides of the spectrum that arent violent. I dont hear any conservatives comparing peaceful, liberal protesters to the violent i dont see the moral equivalence being drawn between peaceful people and violent people. Thats completely unfair. Were comparing violent left and violent right and both need to be condemned. Absolutely. David and they are a marginalized in this country. Minuscule. David as we agree, we get along just fine. We appreciate you being here. God bless you and god bless america. David i think we all agree on that. And, meanwhile, the u. S. Is writing military action on north korea in case diplomacy fails. Nobodys looking for war. But our job, both general brooks and i, and the men and women that we represent, our job is to make sure that the leadership, both the korean leadership and u. S. Leadership have viable military options. David peace through strength. That was a joint chief of staff chairman general joseph dunn ford saying we need to be ready to strike. Also defense secretary mattis and secretary of state Rex Tillerson writing in the wall street journal quote we are replacing the failed policy of strategic patience, which expediated the north korean threat with a new policy of strategic accountability. To institute for the study of war senior naval analyst chris harmer. Chris, i dont think this two positions, peace or strength being ready for war are necessary. But emphasizing the fact that were still ready for diplomacy. I dont think theyre necessarily conflictive, do you . No. Not at all. In fact, just the contrary. Diplomacy does not work ever, unless its backed up by serious military options that are credible both from the technological perspective and from the perspective of having a political well to implement them. Over the last 65 years, weve had a very patient approach with the crazy north korean leadership. Were quickly approaching the point where that patience is going to run out because they are now threatening to attack the United States of america directly, and theyve got the political and quickly developing. David theyre crazy. Lets face it. I know theyre not technically crazy, and our officials are saying that. But the fact is they have no concern about any human life whatsoever. Whether its ours or their own, which is why one thing that tillerson and mattis said that kind of surprised me. He said the u. S. Has no interest in regime change. Really . I do. Well, unless theres regime change to this on Going Nuclear bringsmanship thats going to continue. Kim jongun, his entire credibility at this point as the leader of north korea is dependent upon his ability to continue developing Ballistic Missiles to continue developing Nuclear Weapons. David but specifically, chris, forgive me. On that statement that the u. S. Has no interest in regime change, isnt there a little bit of a wink, wink, nod, nod there that we have to say that because were diplomats but, in fact, Everybody Knows that theyre doing what they can to foment regime change . Yeah. I think thats an accurate representation. With respect to north korea, it hasnt worked at all. With respect to enabling them and to modernize their economy in the world community, that hasnt worked at all, in terms of deterrence, that hasnt worked either. North korea continues to march down the path of developing intercontinental Ballistic Missiles. Either were going to have to accept that or go to war preemptively to remove that capability. David well, what do you think we should do if we reach that point . I think we have to accept the fact that they already have a minimum nuclear capability. And unless we are willing to take military action, they are quickly going to expand that nuclear capability. David but thats what changed in the past two weeks. What changed is that now they not only have nuclear capability, they not only have bombs, but they have the ability or at least theyre very rapidly approaching the ability to put those nukes on top of missiles and hit the u. S. Mainland. I mean, that changes everything, does it not . It changes everything as long if we allow them to put that capability up. As long as they have one and two, we have an adequate Missile Defense that can defend the continental United States. David but i havent heard that. Ive heard its not 100 . And of course nothing is 100 , i understand that. But do we just wait until we send a missile with a nuke before we hit them . Or do we take some kind of preemptive strike . So i despise the thought of war. Its the last, worst option available to us. But if the North Koreans continue to go down this path, then i think a preemptive military strike is the least bad option available to us. I certainly dont want north korea to have an arsenal of several hundred Ballistic Missiles that could potentially leak through our Missile Defenses and hit the continental United States. David chris, thank you very much for being here, chris. Sobering thoughts, but you say them very clearly. Appreciate it. Well, President Trump using trade to pressure china as he calls for the country to get tough. Steve forbes on whether using leverage will work. Steve, how far should we go in using strayed trade as a weapon to get something to do on north korea. That pressure is only going to work if china makes the decision to change relations with north korea. Otherwise, they will just hunker down and not going to back off for face reasons. So the key thing is behind the scenes. We should be im sure we are dropping hints. You can keep that regime there. Just get somebody in there whos not a crazy person. You can keep that terrible regime. And one of the things that make that credible is that we have to be prepared to move on Chinese Companies and perhaps large chinese bank making an example and say we are very serious about this because words dont mean very much in this world today. David but would they retaliate for Something Like that . And how . Well, the chinese are very persuasive retaliating. Either by selling bombs or some silly thing like that. But you dont want to get into that situation you want to have a consensus, if you can. And if there isnt one, you create the conditions for one, which comes from hitting Chinese Companies, chinese banks, and perhaps even interdictating north korean freighters that are carrying elicit material. That would send a message without going over the lines. David quickly, last thought on china, though. You know the chinese very well. You go there all the time. Forbes has an edition over there and everything. Im wondering and you mentioned this to me. This is the first ive heard of it. Of all the people around the world while donald trump was running for president , the one country that really kind of wanted him to win was china. The chinese officials despite his rhetoric against china actually felt that this was a guy we can deal with. Do you think they still feel that way . I think theyre going to put that to the test. When they met earlier this year, xi and trump, trump thought they had an understanding with him about putting pressure in north korea. He says they havent followed through. So the chinese, yes, they can cut a deal with trump. But theyve got to he has to have a tangible. He has to be able to say. Okay. Weve got the North Koreans to do something we never would have done. And one of the things we should be emphasizing now in this whole crisis is unlike times in the past, theres no way were going to pay north korea anything to comply with anything. David we tried that. Been there. Done that. It doesnt work. I have one last comment about charlottesville. Because we were coming in and talking about how the press and the democrats probably led by the press no matter what he said, they were going to somehow find a way to blame him for the riots that happened there. What do you think of that . Well, since they knew that that was going to happen unfair, though, it would be, they should have let off with the statement that he did today. So the for any fairminded person, just take it off the table because you know theyre going to be doing it. So dont give these people an opening if you can avoid it. David so overreact at the time because you know what the reaction is going to be. Sure. David and its unfair. But you know what youre running into. So just take it off the table. David but at the same time, i mean, for him not to mention specific entities like the kkk and the other white supremacist groups that were there, do you think that was a mistake . Do you think it was reasonable to blame all sides . Or should he have focused well, since they knew what they other side was going to say, mention them at the beginning, and that then gives you followup credibility to say this whole poisonous divisive politics of identity. Then it has some credibility because you hit the things at the beginning. David now, we had a press conference moments ago that was about 35 minutes late. We got a twominute warning at a couple of minutes after 12 00, it didnt happen until about 12 40, the presser itself. It was a long speech. We have a new chief of staff, general kelly. Do you think this was him flexing his muscles to a certain extent maybe doing tweaks of his own on the speech . Whats going on there . The shift inside the white house, is that affected the response to charlottesville . No. I think they know they have two major issues, domestic issues. Not to mention north korea. Health care big one and immediately is taxes. Youve got to save all of your capital on that and not get diverted and things that you can cut off at the pass at the beginning. David but this has already been a diversion. Somebody died, so, no, matter what happened, it would be a diversion. Well, yes. But if you take off the table, the idea that trump puts on the sheets at night or that kind of nonsense, take it off the table at the beginning. So fairminded people can say, hey, theyre overreacting instead of giving them any kind of opening. Its unfair, but thats the world you live in, so you have to deal with it. David you would be a good chief of staff, steve. Dont do that to me. David a lot of people thought he would be a good president , by the way. The man who ran for president probably should have won. But at least we have you forbes on fox every saturday morning. With a great host. Yes. David thank you. Steve forbes, the best. President trump has made it very clear we will not stand by while venezuela collapses in the dictatorship. We will not stand by while venezuela crumbles. But its important to note that failed state in venezuela threatens the security and prosperity of our entire hemisphere and the people in the United States of america. Venezuela could very much become a refugee to the United States of america. The cubans are there, russians are there, iranians. David to venezuela immigrant eric on the escalating conflict. Lets take the statement of the president and what we heard from mike pompeo and the Vice President. What exactly do they have in mind . Theyre not planning of putting u. S. Boots on the ground in venezuela, are they . Well, you would softening them, david. But i hope not in the shortterm, at least. Whats important is that the administration is making a very clear statement what theyre willing to do, should things not change on the ground. And maduro calling for free and fair elections. David now, what he was talking about specifically mike pompeo and the Vice President. Theres a Vice President. He is of syrian background, his parents were from syria. He apparently has maintained his relationships with the Syrian Government of assad, and their allies, which include hezbollah and has other terrorists. And the charges hes given this guy is hes handing out pass forts terrorists, as many as 10,000 people who shouldnt have received passports who could qualify as terrorists are going around the world getting into places that they shouldnt be. Well, yes. This is a very, very important point. The issue in venezuela gets characterized as a local crisis comes about as a result of socialism. But the reality is based on what you have said and many other facts on the ground. Iran, russia, cuba intervening, this is very quickly becoming a dangerous place, a place that could represent the National Security threat to our interest here in the United States. And the fact of the matter is that the world in many places has become a dangerous place. And unless were prepared to back our words with actions, its just going to keep going down the same path. David but the good thing about venezuela as opposed to some of the countries in the middle east, et cetera. You do have a real, solid, coherent opposition to tautarianism in venezuela. The opposition is strong, up until maduro sort of pulled the rug out from under the congress. They had a solid hold on majority. There is a group that you could fund or help in some other way to oppose the dictatorship of maduro. How do we do that . Well, look, if this is true, the situation on the ground hasnt yet become one where they are radical ideologues are pushing toward radical islam. So you do is have a opposition that is grounded in a more mainstream thinking. In democracy, prosperity, in freedom of choice. So for sure, the opposition in venezuela looks much more aligned with our way of looking at the and could be supported. David but what do they need . Well, look, the first thing they need is to be able to carry out free and fair elections. And the regime has just not only opposed that, but they have fired congress. David i understand. Forgive me for not being specific enough. What do they need from us from the United States right now . Well, for starters, i know an embargo would go a long way to destabilize the current regime and make the words from the United States have substance behind them. Beyond that, coordination if theyre willing. But the people on the ground are starving, and they need all the help they can get. David thank you very much. What authority does our improvement to intervene in venezuela . Fox news Senior Analyst judge napolitano joining me right now. We do have precedence for this, judge. During the reagan administration, he wanted an end to the cold war, so he gave money he gave assistance to groups like solidarity in poland. There were similar groups in czechoslovakia, is that okay for this administration to do . And much of what the cia does when it funnels cash to resistance groups is below the radar screen, one does not always apply a moral compass to it. David but congress wouldnt object to that. I dont know if congress would object. But i do know that congress has no say. Because the cia works for the president. Barack obama used cia to fight wars, and there by avoided the war powers resolution, which requires congressional approval use of the military. So could the president tell mike pompeo get 1,000 agents down there on the ground and give them a lot of cash in their pockets, and let them spread it to the right people . Yes. Has that been done . If its been done, they obviously dont want to tell us. David but what were looking at is video of how out of control the situation is getting. You have dozens hundreds dying there as a result of what people are calling a civil war. If it turns into a civil war, it would be more than just aiding an opposition. It would be arming an opposition, and that as we saw in nicaragua has congressional implications; right . Well, in nicaragua, and you is i have talked about this many times for a variety of reasons. There was a statute prohibiting the type of aid, which we now know thankfully was given to them, thankfully from a moral point of view. It technically was unlawful, or colleague ollie north was involved in that. But where the president of the United States send troupes to venezuela, he can do that. It would be very, very difficult, i think, for him to justify the use of those troops from a defensive point of view. That is the failure to produce those troops is going to result in violence on the american mainland. I dont know how he could make that argument. David speaking of violence on the american mainland, i want to switch to shattersville. Because it really does, as much of an advocate of the First Amendment as i am and as you are, when you see the First Amendment turned into an excuse for violence as it was here, you just you throw up your hands, and you say how far can we go to enforce make sure everybody gets the right to say what they please. But at the same time enforce rules against violence. Well, the hate speech is protected speech. The theory being that the speech we love doesnt need to be protected. Its the speech we hate. David so even the march the torch march that resembled the nazi marches in the 30s is protected. Yes. Listen, under this theory, the nazis were given permission to march in illinois, a jewish city at the time. David no matter how much it might have incited the violence in the groups. Correct. Because the theory is that the remedy for hate speech is not it will come out somewhere. But to have it out in the open so it can be resisted by more speech. David so do you have to wait until the first stick is lifted and the first head is cracked open before you jump in . Yes. You have to wait until the moment before the violence before you can jump in. Because theres a lot of theories as to how this violence happened. Donald trump might have been right when he said it was caused by many sides. There is nobody who was 100 right. There are some people who were 100 wrong in this. David let me ask you about policing for a second here. I know its not necessarily much, but its a part of what you do, what you did as a judge. The police were not there for the first hour of the violence taking place. All of our camera crews were. Not only this network but other networks as well, so we knew where the epicenter of violence was going to take place. We saw these people with their helmets, with their knee pads, with their sticks. We knew it was going to get violent. Why werent the police there . As reprehensible as this guy is that orchestrated the thing, what he attempted to say yesterday was correct. The police dropped the ball. I spoke to an eyewitness as a former american intelligence agent who knows what hes seeing. The police were not there when they should have been there. The police canceled a permit at the last moment. And after all of this happened, the police let people go to the microphone and say the federal government of the United States should be overthrown and replaced by a communist dictatorship. Thats protected speech. But the other stuff is not . David so what do you think happened . We have a mayor who made his political preferences clear on saturday. We had the governor who did the same. So was there a political decision . I hope not. The job of the police is to protect all speech, whether the police agree with it, whether the politicians agree with it, whether the crowd agrees with it or not. David again, it was the statue of general lee that was the cause of this thing. We knew that that would be the epicenter of the battle. We knew that thats where the forces on the right and the left would gather. Thats why our cameras were there, but we were shocked not to see the police there until there was a lot of blood on the ground. The federal government, the Justice Department investigation, part of it will center on why the police werent there. Because the failure to protect the civil rights of a person, the poor girl that was murdered, the thugs that shouted horrible things. The failure to protect them is a civil rights violation. David wonderful point. Judge napolitano, thank you very much. Well, my pleasure, david. David coming up, new leaks from the hbo hack. How hbo is responding and why viewers shouldnt really care. David President Trump tweeting his support for luther, who faces a primary election tomorrow and senator dean also facing a challenge in nevada by amys husband danny to former nevada gop chair on if there is a growing divide in the gop. We know where your heart lies, amy. Im just wondering, though, specifically what these fights are about. Some people say its all about challenging the establishment, what some people call the rhinos and getting that tea Party Enthusiasm back in congress. What say you . Well, our situation is unique being that we are actually going up against a sitting senator who actually has a history of deeding nevadans, so were actually holding his feet to fire. You can talk to democrats, republicans in the state, and theyre all disappointed with the senator. So we are going to take him on, that being my husband. You can go to tarcenvy. Com to help him out. We would appreciate that. But he was also one of the first never trumpers, which allowed Hillary Clinton to win our state. So the Republican Base out here is not happy with him at all. David and why . I mean, what specifically has name the points that have concerned you all so much. Sure. Well, we also have another microsite thats called never heller. Com. You can go on that site, and you can see already a long list of quotes that the senator has made against our president and how he has not helped him in moving the America First policys agenda. So there is where my husbands going to help him tremendously. And then also, there are david im just trying to get to the core. Illegal immigration is one. He complained against illegal immigration, and he joined the gang of eight. When he complained, he promised to defund planned parenthood, and he has caught on tape at a reno town hall saying that he was going to protect defunding of planned parenthood, so now there are ads being run by planned parenthood saying. Okay. We caught you. You better, you know, you better stay firm. David ive seen those ads. So republicans arent happy about that. And then you have the cake topper recently in 2015 he voted to repeal obamacare and this time around when he actually had a president who would sign it into office and follow through with the repeal, he didnt vote that way. David well, you know whats interesting no, whats interesting is that he was very tough, donald trump, on Mitch Mcconnell after Mitch Mcconnell attacked him, of course when donald trump is attacked, he hits back harder. But now he supports an ally, mcconnell ally in alabama, mr. Strange. Whats going on there . It does seem there are a lot of countervailing forces that work here. Sure and there are. But, you know, i dont know the ins and outs of that race. All i can tell you is what i know here in the state of nevada and in our unique situation, and i dont believe senator heller will come out of this primary. And lets say somehow he does. Once he goes up against a democrat, why would a democrat or any other republican who has already disenfranchised by the senator, why would they vote for him instead of the other person . You have right now senator heller who has deceived nevadans and then the possible opponent on the democrat side who is also very deceitful, and we have a defamation lawsuit up against. David a lot of swamp territory. Not only in the beltway but outside it. All right. Amy, great to see you. Best of luck to you. Appreciate it. Thank you. David thank you very much. Well, new revelations show alqaeda leaders are improvising, calling for new kinds of attacks. Sparkling fears. Wait until you hear what this is coming up next its a highly contagious disease that can be really serious. Especially for my precious new grandchild. Its whooping cough. Every Family Member, including those around new babies, should talk to their doctor or pharmacist about getting vaccinated. Track your pack. Set a curfew, or two. Make dinnertime device free. [ music stops ] [ music plays again ] a smarter way to wifi is awesome. Introducing xfinity xfi. Amazing speed, coverage and control. Change the way you wifi. Xfinity. The future of awesome. David to an alarming call to arms for alqaeda. Creating different ways to attack United States railways. Jeff flock is in gary, indiana with more. It seems kind of outdated when you think about it. But on the other hand, theyve got a dangerous point. Right, jeff . Well, in some ways, its scarier because there is so much rail out there in the country. I mean, were here, the commuter rail, freight rails, there are more than 200,000 miles of rails in the u. S. And in this latest edition of inspire, the alqaeda magazine, which as you know is a slick publication. Its almost like vanity fair and gq, except it tells you how to blow people up and terrorize. It uses something called a derailer. Something the railroad uses if they want to emergency stop a railroad, you know, a locomotive. Well, you put it on the tracks and in this latest edition of inspire magazine, they explain how you can home make a derailer out of reinforced concrete and put it on the tracks in unknown places and have trains derail. That in addition to the typical, you know, put a bomb on a train and all of that sort of thing. The magazine i quoted now, their strategy, they say, david, is to quote continue to bleed the American Economy to more losses to increase the psychological warfare and to make it worry, fear, and weaken much more. Its amazing that magazine i tell you, if you havent checked it out, you should look at it online in some ways because you would be amazed at how slick it is and how much there is in there about how to disrupt people in the u. S. And terrorize folks in the u. S. Its almost amazing to see it david you know what . Ive got to say, jeff. I agree with you on almost everything else. But on this, as long as the cia is looking at it, as long as amtrak officials are looking at it, they counteract it in every way they can imagine, and they are, thats enough for me. But. I suppose. Good point. Good point. But i looked at it, and i was amazed. David its an extraordinary turn, and lets hope it doesnt go anywhere. Thank you very much, jeff flock. Good to see you, my friend. David meanwhile, more fallout as the hbo leak to the public. Hey, david weve been following this hbo hack as it continues to unfold. And first, it was leaked scripts from game of thrones, one of the biggest shows on tv. Now, they have released several episodes from the highly anticipated return occur be your enthusiasm, which debuts in october. They also leaked sunday nights episode of insecure and produced this latest data bump in an effort to get hbo to pay up. They demanded millions in bitcoin and said they would continue to release this data until hbo pays the money. Last week the hackers also reportedly released a screenshot of an email that shows a senior vp offering 250,000 as a quote bount payment. As of right now, though, an hbo spokesperson tells me we are not in communication with the hacker, and were not going to comment every time a new piece of information is released. The hacker may continue to drop bits and pieces of stolen information in an attempt to generate media attention. Thats a game we are not going to participate in. The hackers also claim to have stolen internal documents and personal employee information as well, which they are Still Holding as leverage. So, david, this may not be the end of the leaks. David no. But to what extent is the government on the case . Because clearly, these people are violating the law. Clearly, they think they can get away with it. Frankly, i would think if you were paid in any way, if you communicate with them, there would be a way to track the hackers. So who is investigating this from the government . Hbo says that they are working with Law Enforcement. Theyre working with Cyber Security experts to try and get to the bottom of this. To try to figure out exactly how big and widespread this leak is. They still dont know who is responsible. And as far as for paying that bitcoin, we know bitcoin is very untraceable, so thats why these hackers demand that type of payment. David yeah, by the way, bitcoin was up to 4,000 per bitcoin. Over the weekend. So im not saying related in any way, shape, or form, but clearly, a lot of people are using it. Tracy, thank you very much. Appreciate it. Coming up, the markets starting the week with a heck of a bang here. Were up 140 points on the dow right now. A little off its high, but not much. Were just below the 22,000 mark as worries about north korea begin to fade a little bit. But are this worries a little too pollyannish . Well tackle that next. David elon musk, he may be a genius but sometimes you wonder what is going on in guys head. He has a new warning for those focused on the threat of north korea. The tesla, spacex ceo tweeting over the weekend that Artificial Intelligence is riskier to humanity than north korea. Doesnt say whether they precipitate another world war or not. Meanwhile elon musk spacex successfully launching a rocket to the International Space station. The Spacex Dragon spacecraft carrying 6400 pounds of research crew, supplies and hardware.
