Happened during the defend 12 benghazi attack. Details and reaction from ambassador john bolton. Nike out with Fourth Quarter earnings in a moment. How the Sporting Goods giant navigating major hurdles, both here and abroad. David we have a lot of issues including breaking news. Market signs of life after Global Markets lost a record 3 trillion during the last two trading days. The dow ending in the green at session highs. Phil flynn, Price Futures Group and fox news contributor. Watching action in oil and gold at the cme. Not a good day for gold. And lori rothman, on floor of the new york stock exchange. What is driving the nyse . It is a firesale. People were snapping upbeatenup shares. Banks had tremendous day. I will get to other stocks with significant losses friday, monday but rebounded nicely today. Dow jones industrials setting tone. Closing best levels. Session. As you pointed out not nearly enough to make up losses from friday and mondays brexit inspired selloff if you will. What drove the turn and today . S p 500 200day moving average which is 2021. We were flirting with the level early going. Finally blew past it. Once the level was established all bets were off and people piled into the market. My good pal phil will tell you about oil. That was a good factor in the gains in the stock market as well. We may have a bottom signal here. I am cautiously optimistic. But here is the trend. Vix came in five points, really crumbling today. We saw the trend yesterday during the selloff. Basically investors are shorting volatility. Out of the money in the options market. What that means is, people are pricing in the fact that the volatility and the fear inspired by the brexit may behind us, the worst may behind us. That is at least what the trend has been. When s p falls 1 and vix comes in one point, that is sign after bottom, four times last 10 years. Back to you. Melissa lori, thank you so much. Natural gas soaring ending up more than 7 . Phil, what is fueling this jump . Well ill tell you a lot of things we had a plant that blew up but big thing is weather. Next six to 10 days forecast will come in much hotter than anticipated. Perhaps the entire month of july will be one of the hottest julys weve had in the last five years. This comes at a time when natural Gas Production actually has been falling. Weve seen a dramatic cutback in investment a cutback in rig counts. Makes it concerning whether we meet natural gas demand. Oil is popping back up today. Risk on mood is coming back up. Gold prices as well. When we saw the break in the risk trade, we saw the dollar of course give back some gains, we saw gold go back down. But it is interesting, since the turkish news broke were seeing some buying come back into gold. We might see a little bit of that geopolitical risk trade come back in gold. Well have to watch that overnight. Melissa absolutely. Phil, thank you so much. David sigh of relief for the markets as stocks reverse a twoday selloff. Bring in todays panel, Jonathan Hoenig from capitalist pig hedge fund. Fox news contributor. We have chris from tamaka research. Some day i get that right. Forgive me, chris. James freeman from the wall street journal. What is happening overseas in turkey might affect markets overnight. Well wait and see. The rally today, is it suckers rally or real thing . David, count me wrong as discounting impact brexit would have. This is the destructive day in the stock market, worst two days in market history. I think todays rally is a suckers rally. Bull market for u. S. Stocks and commodities is intact. The u. S. Stock market is only down 5 from the recent highs. That is not even a correction. A lot of stocks like 3m still doing well, not far from alltime highs, johnson johnson. I think this is a stumble, it is a, not a fall, by the fall i think early 2017 you see u. S. Stocks back up at alltime highs. David james, trying to figure out where the fire is here. What is sparking some of this rally other than a relief rally. We got revision of gdp numbers. It is positive revision but were still growing at pathetic 1. 1 . We have awful job numbers. We get new job numbers a week from friday. What is spurring this . There were positive signs. Exports up a little bit. Not a good report overall. The economy is still stumbling on. Business investment is not good. Along with modestly better Economic News in the u. S. , i think a lot of this is end of really hysterical reaction to the brexit vote. I thought brexit was going to pass as i said on your show last week. People are not looking at potential upside for an eu that really needs reform. To the extent this drives maybe a little bit of a pull back in the huge bureaucratic impulse from brussels i think it could be a positive david i couldnt agree with you more. James, im with you 100 . In the short run there will be a lot of difficult ks. In the long run run london will be oasis in the desert of european regulations. Chris, isnt election is what markets are waiting for . Theyre waiting for a lot of things. First we have to get through the june quarter earnings season. Big expectations for back half of the year, tone of the economy, uncertainty about the election youre talking about that will restrain business investment. There is a lot of reasons to think that guidance will not be as strong for companies in next two or three weeks. Well start getting negative preannouements over next several days. I think that will really take another leg out of the market. My message today has been, this is not the dip that you want to buy. You want to wait until we get into the back half of july. Then i think we have much better opportunity. Even so, david, as youre saying there is still a lot of uncertainty who will be in the white house and what those policies will been. I think that will keep really restrained in terms of investment. Probably keep the market moving sideways most of the back half of the year. David gotcha. Melissa president obamas economy, Gross Domestic Product growing 1. 1 in the first quarter. That is the weakest pace in a year. James freeman, i guess it is an upgrade from what the last reading was. This is abysmal. Corporate profit as little better than we thought but yeah, it is not good. The new slow normal. The new bleak slow normal with consumer not really wanting to spend. Really business investment, that is the continuing story the last few years, companies do not want to invest. They dont want to bet on future and a lot has to do with washington policy making. Melissa chris, what do you think . James is right. Companies are resisting regulation, buying back stock and boosting dividends to shore up the stock prices. When we look at rising gas prices in the tone what is happening with consume every spending, one of the key drivers of the economy were starting to he see it slow down. Whether business investment, the tone of the consumer or uncertainty i think well be moving sideways. Melissa Jonathan Hoenig this is the worst recovery in the history of the recoveries according to the federal reserve. Now it feels like quote, unquote recovery might be over, especially with brexit. Are we slowing all the way back down to maybe official contraction . Isnt it interesting, melissa . For years the administration has been telling us how great the recovery is. Melissa right. So some of the americans are saying we really just dont feel it. Now you have a situation, not only is the economy slowing but as was pointed out costs are going up. Inflation is coming back. Were starting to he see Commodity Prices around the world rally. So i feel for the average joe if you will this will be that 70s style stagflation. Weak economy, higher prices, misery index for most investors goes up, up, up. Melissa yeah. David joy, joy. We have new signs a Health Insurance megamerger could be dead in the water. Anthem may be ready to walk away from the 48 billion deal with cigna. Coring to new york post. Anthem is denying the report. James, isnt it strange, a government hell bent on killing competition in health care is criticizing merger because they say there wont be enough competition . That is why this merger is going to die. David you do think it will die . The government will win on this one . Yeah. I dont think it will happen. Theyre already giving signals that theyre going to walk away and washington basically killed another deal. It is particularly interesting because what did obamacare do . It really gave people an incentive to consolidate. That is what youve seen in the insurance market, related markets. This is what happens when a heavy regulatory system comes in. It advantages size. You can spread Compliance Costs over larger organization. It disa advantageses smaller players. That is exactly what weve seen here. In the end the administration not wanting to allow mergers i think are the inevitable result. David there is a lot the administration doesnt want to allow in the business sector but, chris, im not so convinced that anthem will not at least try to fight this. Do you . I think they will. At the end of the day it is all about scale and i think they figure out some way to get the deal done whether or not they have to divest certain businesses or not. The one thing to watch out for, there will be additional pricegouging. We already know one of the real windups obamacare is skyrocketing health care prices. Well try to see something to placate the markets. That is not going to be the case. David jonathan, if anthem decides to fight for this deal, it will cost billions of dollars, legal fees, forget about it, and also it will cost them money on the aetna break. Aetna is having to break up a lot of its entities to do a merger of them own. Aetna could buy them in normal circumstances but they dont have the money. Isnt ironic, david, we all want to start economy, here is American Company trying to create wealth, trying to grow. Theyre not battling competitors but federal government. David waste of money. As you said, we know we cant fight city hall. Antitrust is the most nonobjective and really arbitrary, most destructive type of regulation. It is after the fact regulation. This is really impacting u. S. Economy. David whenever you spend billions of dollars on lawyers, that is a waste of billions of dollars from corporate shareholder standpoint. Guys, appreciate it. Melissa . Melissa Prime MinisterDavid Cameron meeting with 27 countries in brussels at a working dinner. This will be the first meeting between cameron since the eu voted to leave the European Union last week. Adam shapiro is standing by in brussels with details what we can expect from the meeting and Ashley Webster is in london with the latest out of the uk. Lets go to adam shapiro first in brussels. Whats new there, adam . Well you had mr. Cameron meeting over dinner. It was a working dinner with other eu leaders talking about the brexit. Mr. Cameron actually started the day when he arrived, i think we have video of this when he arrived at European Union parliament. He says he wants the british exit from the eu to be as constructive as possible. Britain musnt turn its back on europe. These countries are our friends and allies. That is what he had to say. Then you have donald tusk, president of the European Council who said this divorce as we might call it needs to begin quickly although he is not enthusiastic about that, he is ready for it to begin but it requires the uk to invoke article 50, the divorce proceedings. Guess who else is here . The british member of parliament, nigel farage who actually led the movement to leave the European Union. We spoke with him. He spoke earlier this morning to his colleagues in the European Union parliament and this is what he had to say. The. Fo the country yes, it has a duty to run the economy but it also has a duty to look after its own people and what weve done in this club, through open door immigration, to countries even poorer than mexico by allowing Free Movement of people weve driven peoples wages down, we stopped them getting their kids into local schools, they cant get an appointment with their local doctor, and their standard of life has gone down. What were going to do now with brexit, take back control of our borders and have ordinary, decent british people a even break. Reporter eu leaders putting on solid unified face there. Is current about potential referendums and other countries, for instance, marie la penn, who spoke to parliament, a politician from france calling for reverend up did there to leave the European Union. She says what the english have done, people of the United Kingdom have done is a blow for democracy. Back to you. Melissa adam shapiro, thank you so much for that report. David. David meanwhile across the channel, labor crisis in the u. K. Jeremy corbyn refusing to resign after losing a vote of no confidence today. Ashley what is the latest . Reporter it is interesting, isnt it, david . 80 of those voting today about jeremy corbyn, we have no confidence in you. You can not lead us, you have to go. But he refuses to leave. Well continue see how that will work out. That will be resolved by the end of the week. Then we have the conservative party an 10 downing street over my shoulder here, who will be next person living there . We know David Cameron says he will be out by object. We should know the new conservative candidate by september 9th. They pushed that back about a week. Right now Boris Johnson probably the favorite. Theresa may, the home secretary could give him a good run for his money. While all this is going on, uncertainty and Unanswered Questions remain, david. We saw markets come back a little bit today. Certainly i dont think on solid ground at this point as the uk decides what is going to do and how it will negotiate . Claims that perhaps the leave campaign broke some promises based on the fact that you cant control your own borders if you want a big part of the single market. That is a fallacy. The fact that that 350 million u. S. Dollars you pay every week to the eu, well, the leave Campaign Said a lot of that could go to the nhs, the health service. Now theyre saying maybe not all of the money. A bit of a backlash against those promises that were made, now perhaps being walked back just a little bit but all of this as just down the road in westminster so much chaos. Who is going to lead which party . Both parties in disarray right now. All this while the uk tries to figure out where does it go from here and how do we get out from the eu. David and melissa, they will sort it ot. Ashley webster, thank you very much. Melissa. Melissa nike reporting Fourth Quarter results. Lori rothman from the floor of nyse. What do you see . Not good. Even though came in better than expected in terms of eps, revenue was in line a little soft. Here is the problem. Futures orders, orders placed six months into the future coming in worldwide 8 . Analysts were looking for futures orders worldwide 12 . That is a huge miss there. Shares i believe are tanking on that news. It is interesting, looking at the options. Aftermarket was pricing in 5 1 2 age move in either direction. That indicator was pretty much spot on. Unfortunately were of moving down close to 6 on miss in wordwide futures orders for nike. We know that the company has suffered market share loss to competitors. Also a slowdown in the overall athletic sector. Well continue to look under the hood to see what i find for you guys. Back to you. Melissa lori rothman, thank you very much. David coming up, more outrageous failures at the va. Why veterans desperate cries for help have gone unanswered. Melissa after two years republicans are finally releasing their report on what happened during the 2012 benghazi attack that left four americans dead. The bombshell report slamming the Obama Administration and Hillary Clinton for a failure of leadership. Ambassador john bolton will weigh in. David then there was that speech by donald trump, did you hear it . His big tray speech in pennsylvania. Trump vowing to bring back american jobs but how can he do it without hurting trade . Well ask trumps senior trade visor dan dmico coming up. Skilled craftsmen and factory workers seen the jobs they love shipped thousands and thousands of miles away. Melissa reports from turkey, there has been two explosions at a airport in istanbul caused by two suicide bombers at two separate locations. Turkish media reporting gunfire at the scene. Justice minister reporting at least 10 dead. There are new reports that hand grenades were also thrown by attackers. Police fired on the suspects. Witnesses say they saw taxis transporting away from airport. Turkey hit by number of bombings in recent months. Linked to kurdish and Islamic State militants. Former lt. General Thomas Mcinerney joins us on the phone with its reaction to this. Early reports looking like suicide bombers launched this attack outside of the security area where they could get into undetected. Seems like this is the new mo . Yes it is, melissa. Were seeing a lot of changes in the mo because they have to change because the increased security. Were still in ramadan. So two chaps, at least two became martyrs during ramadan. Clearly radical islamic group. They are [inaudible] because its a radical islamic group, going after turkey. Using excuse of the announcement of an agreement between israelis, turks just yesterday. And just normalwe expect from these radical islamic groups. Melissa yeah. Were having a little bit of trouble hearing you but im going to try for one more question. What is the right response to this . It seems like the number of attacks is accelerating. No matter how it sort of combatted they figure out a different way to respond. This is an airport. It is the third most traveled in the region. Security at the airport is exceptionally tight. They have their business down. This is country where they expect attacks. They have very tough neighbors. Iran, iraq, syria, it is a tough neighborhood. Still this happens. How do you respond around the world . Well, that clearly means we have to get in their ideology and by identifying this is a muslim country, melissa. They are attacking other muslims although there are a large number of tourists at the ataturk airport. So it means that we have got to get together egyptians, et cetera, identify the ideology. To take the correct action [inaudible] melissa okay. Must be down in their language. Melissa thank you so much for your time. Im so sorry, our connection is dropping in and out with that phone. We really very much appreciate your time. Thank you. David ambassador john bolton later in the hour. He will talk about what is happening in turkey as well. Meanwhile donald trump wrapping up his trade speech in steel country. The prom tough republican nominee slamming Hillary Clinton outlined his trade policies. He said from beginning of campaign and reiterated for free trade but also fair trade. That is one of the underlying themes of his speech today in which he singled out two different trade deals. How that contrasts himself and Hillary Clinton not being Transpacific Partnership looming deal. One that Hillary Clinton supported while she was secretary of state. Now against as a president ial candidate. The other being nafta, that her husband, former president bill clinton signed into law in the mid 90s. Donald trump laid out seven futa trade war with china. Listen here. She has it completely backwards. Hillary clinton unleashed a trade war against the American Worker when she supported one terrible deal after another. From nafta to china, to south korea. It doesnt matter. No matter where she went, the from here, david, he heads to a fundraiser, not too far away in the West Virginia area. Later tonight, not too far away into ohio for a rally there. David that is the rust belt. That is what he is going for. Blake burman. Good stuff. Melissa. Melissa here to weigh in, dan diminico, retired chairman of nucorp corporation. Trying to wrap my head around this im a free market economist. Looked at these things for a long time. I always felfree markets lead to prosperity for everyone. Donald trump sounding very protection it today. Obviously very antireagan. When you put up these walls and enact these tariffs and tear up agreements dont you end up making good more expensive for everyone in the country, for everyone who goes to walmart, for everyone who buys everything . Prices go up across the board. How does that help the American Worker. Hello, melissa. How are you today . That was a mouthful. Melissa fantastic. Im befuddled what im hearing because i hope you will illuminate for me today. I am. If you give me time, i will do illuminating, i promise. Number one free markets as you say are the right thing. Mr. Trump believes that i believe that. There is nothing protectionist in what he wants to do. What he wants to do is actually reintroduce the concept of free trade and free and open markets that have been totally distorted by those who benefited from promoting chinas trade mercantilism, predatory pricing on its exports, protectionism of a massive scale on its imports. There hasnt been free trade and free markets in global trade for a long time. We have actually been at a trade war with china for two decades, except we havent showed up to engage. That is where Hillary Clinton is dead wrong about trump is going to cause a trade war. He will stop the trade war that has been in place. Melissa so then is it logical to say that this is the opening of a negotiation . That youre saying were going to put up the same walls that you have up but that the ultimate goal in the long run is still free trade . Or is the ultimate goal walls up on our own economy . What is the longrun goal . Here is the other thing you may struggle with but think b the last president , american president to get free trade right was Ronald Reagan. Melissa right. And Ronald Reagan was a Firm Believer that if free trade met subsidies, government ownership, currency manipulation, protectionism in their home markets it was free trade in name only. And he would not that kind of international flaunting of free trade which is not only free but rulesbased and rules enforced. And he did just that. He caused japan and germany to revalue the currency by 50 with the plaza accord. He put tariffs on semiconductors, motorcycles, automobiles, other things. Why . To get the japanese and the germans to Start Playing by the rules of free trade. He was a free trader. Donald trump is closest thing to Ronald Reagan since Ronald Reagan. Republican or democrat. And that is a fact. And i will be happy to come back and talk about that more with you when you have time. Melissa i would love it. We do have to go but are you saying this is like an attack stance to get us back to the era of reagan . Is that a fair way to try to encapsulate what you just said . I absolutely believe that to be the case. Melissa okay. Dan, do it again. Thank you very much. Sorry we had such short time. A lot of breaking news. David we need to talk to him more about this issue with dan heninger and others. Republican lawmakers concluding a investigation into the terror attacks. Former ambassador john bolton responding to how the u. S. Failed to protect americans during the assault. Life. So when my asthma symptoms kept coming back on my longterm control medicine. I talked to my doctor and found a missing piece in my asthma treatment with breo. Oncedaily breo prevents asthma symptoms. Breo is for adults with asthma not well controlled on a longterm asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. Breo wont replace a rescue inhaler for sudden breathing problems. Breo opens up airways to help improve breathing for a full 24 hours. Breo contains a type of medicine that increases the risk of death from asthma problems and may increase the risk of hospitalization in children and adolescents. Breo is not for people whose asthma is well controlled on a longterm asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. Once your asthma is well controlled, your doctor will decide if you can stop breo and prescribe a different asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. Do not take breo more than prescribed. See your doctor if your asthma does not improve or gets worse. Ask your doctor if 24hour breo could be a missing piece for you. See if youre eligible for 12 months free at mybreo. Com. David reports coming in from turkey, two deadly explosions at attaturk airport in istanbul. Caused by two suicide bombers at two separate locations. Turkish meet yaw and possible gunfire and hughes of hand grenades as Justice Minister is reporting at least 10 innocents dead. Former u. N. Ambassador to the United Nations fox news contributor, john bolton. We should mention we dont know who is claiming responsibility, ambassador. We have turkish rebels but we dont know if it is isis. Go ahead. My first thought it was recent attack on the brussels, belgium airport, same sort of idea, suicide bombers. Youre striking at heart of International Commerce in turkey. Obviously very dependent on tourism in places like istanbul. I heard, cant confirm, some type of anniversary having to do with the declaration of isis caliphate. Obviously we can confirm that. David obviously towards end of ramadan. They think in distorted ways become immediate martyrs to heaven, et cetera. Fair to say, what youre saying mo seems to match isis than the kurds. We have to verify. We dont know if this is busted play that authorities acted before bombers were ready. We dont know if other attackers were seeing that attack had been foiled left in general panic to do it again another day but very serious situation especially in europe as they look at possible turkish application for eu membership. Not the best time for that. David not the best time. Of course we have a election. Mex president of the United States, what is that president going to have to do to engage turkey more than it has been engaged in joining us in the fight against islamic terrorism . President obama and president erdogan of turkey are said to be best of friends. That obviously hasnt worked out very well. David it hasnt. We need a general election where National Security is at the center of the debate. We need a president who will acknowledge, that this president has not what we are fundamentally faced with here is hostile ideology of radical islam manifested in terrorist attacks. This is not a endless series of disconnected oneoff lone wolf attackers. These people are motivated by what king of jordan, King Abdullah called a civil war within islam. We need to work with everybody in the must plim world to have more concerted policy. Right now we see the threat level escalate. Director of the national intelligence, an obama appointee, said repeatedly that the terrorist threat elf internationally is greater today than before 9 11. General clapper said this in public testimony. David right. How can we ignore it . David conflicting with his own generals. Ambassador, you want to comment on next story so stay with us. Melissa. Melissa new details regarding the 2012 benghazi attack. The Benghazi Committee releasing scathing report slamming the Obama Administration for various mistakes they made before, during and after the deadly attacks. Our own peter barnes is standing by with the latest. Quite a lot in this report, huh, peter . Reporter thats right, melissa. One key finding in the republican majority report is that the white house held a twohour teleconference meeting on september 11th, 2012. Three hours into the benghazi attack. It included Hillary Clinton, her top aides, top pentagon deputies and senior obama staffers. Instead of focusing getting immediate help to americans trapped in benghazi, the focus was on a video, that video wrongly blamed by the white house for inspiring the assault. If you do read the report i think what will become manifest to you what has become manifest to us, which are two different images. The image on. One hand of what was happening in benghazi, during the relevant time period and image on the other hand of the decisions made and not made in washington during that same time period. Reporter now the Clinton Campaign called the report a political sham. The candidate herself was dismissive. This unfortunately took on a partisan tinge. I will leave it to others to characterize this report but i think it is pretty clear it is time to move on. Reporter just in the last few minutes donald trump has tweeted comment on this report saying quote, benghazi is just another Hillary Clinton failure. It just never seems to work the way it is supposed to with clinton. Melissa . Melissa peter, thank you for that report. David. David back to weigh in, ambassador john bolton. Ambassador, frankly anything comes out of washington is partisan but we should democratic the uk response has 23 separate mentions of donald trump which has absolutely nothing to do with cause of benghazi or four americans being dead or reaching to the bottom why that happened. If anybody is partisan, kind of like the pot kelling the kettle black, white . Right. What we have is majority report of 800 pages, i will confess i havent read all 800 pages, hundred pages of he have is details of the attack and what led up to the attack related issues. We never had that kind of report before. That is why this was set up to cut across jurisdictional lanes. The parts i read it is compelling, we failed before the attack, failed on the date of the attack and clear we failed after the attack. David it is so important to find out what happened. It does make a big difference as to what happened so we can prevent things like this happening again. By the way, josh earnest, white house spokesperson said today, talked about the cost of committees report. Play the sound bite. Get your reaction. This is a 7 million effort funded by taxpayers to do what the speaker of the house said was their goal, which was to tear down secretary clintons poll numbers. That was their goal. Remains to see if that is what they accomplished. David ambassador to put a price tag on the lives of four americans who have died, to try to prevent the lives of other americans who are very brave defending our embassies, i just think that is pretty low, dont you . I thought it was appalling. There is nothing that this white house wont politicize. The point here is precisely to find out what happened so we can prevent it from haing again. That is why this narrative, reality is troubling for barack obama and Hillary Clinton. This was a massive failure on their watch. Here it is, this deputy committees meeting, i dont think we herd about that before. Instead of being a National SecurityCouncil Meeting chaired by the president of the United States, you have got political flaks sitting around trying to figure out what their press line is going to be. One of those flaks at a deputys committee meeting, i never heard of anything like this in administrations ive been in, to have secretary of state in on it, that shows what their objective was i think. David ambassador john bolton in d. C. Ambassador, thank you very much. Appreciate it. Thank you, david. Melissa donald trump slamming Hillary Clinton. Why he thinks she betrayed the American Worker. D a lot of doub. I was a smoker. Hands down, it was, thats who i was. After one week of chantix, i knew i could quit. Along with support, Chantix Varenicline is proven to help people quit smoking. Chantix definitely helped reduce my urge to smoke. Some had seizures while taking chantix. If you have any of these, stop chantix and call your doctor right away. Tell your doctor about any history of Mental Health problems, which could get worse or of seizures. Dont take chantix if youve had a serious allergic or skin reaction to it. Donald trump taking aim at free trade. The presumptive gop nominee outlining a sevenpoint plan how he plans to bring jobs back to america and bashing clinton for her policies. Listen. Hillary clinton and her campaign of fear will try to spread the lie that these actions will start a trade war. We already have a trade war and were losing badly. David here now, dan henninger, deputy Editorial Page Editor wall street journal, Marjorie Clifton former consultant to the Obama Campaign and Clifton Consulting founder. Dan, is he calling for a trade war . You saw a lot of points, particularly points about china and how they violated all these past measures on currency and trade and how he will give it to them, higher tariffs and higher taxes. What he is calling for is rearranging the deck chairs on trade titanic at least as he sees it. He wants to renegotiate nafta, the freetrade agreement with mexico and canada, interestingly he didnt mention either countries by name. Im not sure what his complaint is with nafta. He is really angry about china being brought into the world trade organization. And, david, he making a strong populist appeal to people that are hurt by manufacturing in the United States. The question how will he be able to step up to fulfill these promises. If he wants to bring manufacturing of steel, coal mining back to the United States, prices in the United States are going to rise for electronics and food and like. David raise taxes prices go up. Marjorie, there is big question of Hillary Clinton. How does hillary get to the left of trade . He is taking position exactly where Bernie Sanders was . Kind of baffling everyone at this point. I think there are a lot bit of broker on the democratic side when it comes to trade right now and i think that trumps positions are little bit bizarre. Frankly he belongs in the uk. David no more, bizarre, marjorie, forgive me no more bizarre than Bernie Sanders were. Theyre basically the same. Im wondering how hillary convinces some of the democratic party, particularly sanders supporters she is on their side when trump sounds more like sanders than she does . Agree. The safe trade is intersects with diplomacy and we operate as a nation. People who understand economics and understand, frankly where we are right now now on the global stage when it comes to relationships and global relationships and sort of the addage keep your enemies and friends as close as the other because were in much better suited position operating with a lot of these competitors than we are isolating them. I think david you dont want to empower people that are hurting you but at same time i get your point. Dan and marjorie i would love to talk more we had so much breaking news. We have to move on. Appreciate it. Melissa . Melissa thea neglecting our heroes. The department ignoring our veterans in lifeordeath situations. A lifeline for our heroes neglected by the the va almost of the texts sent as a test to the va suicide hotline went unanswered. Unanswered. This is according to gao report. Here now is Lea Gabrielle former navy fighter pilot. Fox news correspondent. This is unbelievable. It is really sad to see. As you pointed out this is gao report. This is the government essentially checking itself. Now theyre he providing this report to congress. Obviously there is a reason theyre doing this report. This follows the scathing report back in february that showed that you know, a lot of calls to the va for the hotline, this is the, this is the Veterans Crisis hotline, were not being answered. So they have been trying to fix the problem of actually making sure that those calls get answered. Their goal is, within 30 seconds. That 90 of the calls within 30 seconds would get some sort of an answer. What this gao report showed it really hasnt improved when it comes to Text Messages and when youre considering a crisis line, something supposed to help veterans who may think about committing suicide. You need to think about responding quickly. You may be the only melissa you think . Yeah. Yeah. Melissa it is amazing. It almost sounds like it cant possibly be real because of the reason that it is set up and function of it. What is the problem . Okay, so, this report actually identified a number of different problems but i do want to point out one of the things they did, they essentially covertly tested the system by sending Text Messages. Gao, the investigators sent four teen Text Messages. Four went unanswered. That is 29 . When you think about that, four completely unanswered. But it is not a good test case but horrible situation. What if those were four people, maybe their last lifeline . Maybe they need ad voice, someone to respond to their text. Melissa do we know what was happening . Was no one manning line . Did the Technology Work . Did they get to the bottom of that . According to the report it is comedy of errors. It is part of the system itself. They rely on textmessaging service, although the va would test the system the system would not test itself. Provider could be center being overloaded because of testing, or could be like incompatablety between devices and software incompatabilityies. Back in 2012, reported by va 22 veterans were committing suicide. Some dispute the data, bottom line it is too many and has to be a system in place to fix this. The good news the government is looking into it and trying to find solutions but i think it comes down to leadership. I think this is something whoever is in charge of these systems, the people running these services, leadership within the va really has to take a look at this, figure out are people really doing their jobs here . Do they understand impact they have. They could potentially be a one voice that stops or one text message that stops somebody from ending their life. I hope they get control of this problem, leah, thank you so much. We appreciate it. David. David only have veterans man the va. That is the bottom line.
