Was piloting this aircraft. Here is more on that crash. New detailing news from the cockpit of the plane that crash crashed in San Francisco. Overnight confirmation in a the pilot in charge of landing that flight was training on the boeing. It was his ninth training flight just 43 hours on the 777. There was more information on the black boxes both recovered both intact. The call from the cockpit, the pilot looking to increase speed. Then just four seconds before impact this new image con obtained by cnn this plane hovering over the San Francisco bay. The sound of the shift indicating the boeing 777 speed was falling below where it should be. Then a second and a half before impact, a call from the cockpit for a go around, to circle again but it was far too late. Too late indeed, and were schooling ourselves on what are the threshold speeds and whatnot, but when you look at this it seems as though there is every warning in the world in a cockpit that this plane is going too slowly. The scary part about this is when you learn about how inexperienced the pilot was i know every pilot needs hours flying under its belt, but this was his ninth Time Training on this plane, and he had 43 hours of training on the boeing 777. I dont know what we can do to prevent Something Like this happening in the future, but you cant have someone in charge of a flight like this if they dont have enough experience with that particular plane. Two people have died. 180 people are injured. I wonder about this, jayar, its not just him on that plane. So even if you accept that this one guy has training wheels on, the other guy in the cockpit and there are more than just one other guy but the pilot on the plane that sits beside him, he has over 10,000 hours behind the stick. Why isnt he stepping up and getting that throttle where it should be. You get a chance to know that you have this other guy who is supposed to help, and you assume hes the one who is less advanced or trained in these ticks. But it was the other way around. This sparked me to think if youre on that flight, you really have no idea who is virtually in charge with your life. Is there a system brought forward where you can research your pilot. When you book your flight, you have flight 215 piloted by john smith. We Research Doctors and physicians, we research them to see if theyre going to kill us. But we need to research exactly who is flying you overseas, over anything. Its an idea maybe born of tragedy, but it actually might be one of those entrepreneurial insideideas. You give me the option of main cabin select. How about select pilot who has a lot of hours behind the stick. It is bizarre though. They make these the 777 is the envy of many a pilot to fly this thing, and they call it a wiretowire flight. They can take off from frankfurt and land in los angeles and not really touch any controls. But these landings and take offs really need to be handled by people with experience. From what i heard i lived in san diego for a minute, and i saw the way planes fly in there and the airport is in the middle of downtown. They have to fly in over tall buildings. And San Francisco is one of the tougher airport because of the water around the airport. Maybe there are only simple airport he has had experienced with. But when you come into San Francisco you there are Different Things you have to be prepared for. Let me Say Something about landing on the west coast that makes it easier. Look at the weather. The weather was fine. They were on a visual flight approach. There is no instrument really required in terms of actual navigation. You can see the runway in front of you. Literally all you have to do is keep the plane above that threshold speed. And yet obviously it dropped well below. I know, and its scary to hear about stuff like this in this day and age because were all under the assumption that fly something 100 safe full proof, and we dont have to worry about a thing. But stories like this shake you out of your complacency. You know what, anything can pop and we need the most experienced pilots controlling and manipulate be those planes. This will spark an investigation that will bring many things into question. The autoized nature auto automatickized nature is taken off for landing. And these done by throttle. And that so when you look at all of these things, theyre not engaged, all these alarms and warnings are going off the stick is literally shaking and there are a lot of details that have to be sorted out here. But its increasingly pointed towards this pilot. I would like a thorough investigation. Obviously this just happened, new details will emerged, but when you go back to Automated Systems, were used to computers taking control of everything, whether its trains planes, jobs that used to have humans doing the job. I dont want an Automated System for the plane. I want a human who can manipulate the plane who is experienced and mitigate any type of unexpected situation that could occur while youre flying. Ironically thats who was controlling the plane. The computerized nature, im so glad you brought this up. They were talking about computer fatigue. So much is computerized that the crew lose touch of the aircraft, and there is not the Human Element because it is wire to wire theyre not really locked in. And in this case that might have proved to be fatal. Exactly. All right, its a remarkable story, and again, even though there was a tremendous tragedy hurricanes and as you look at the wreckage, its hard to believe that as many people walked away from this wreckage that did there are two who were lost. From looking at it, that was a devastating crash. And not that those two were very important, but youre thinking you would assume that everyone in that plane would lose their lives. Thats not to take away from how devastating it is that two people did die as a result of this crash. What effect does this have on the flying public . Does this make you more anxious about flying generally . Or you get on board. Its weird, before this happened earlier in the weekend before the long weekend, i was talking to someone about it. I never think about these things before i fly because its not going to do me any good. If im in the air and i think what if this happens or that happens, i might well sit back and relax. So if worrying before you take off thats why its hard to see footage like this. Now as im going through the checkpoint and going through the metal detecter. Thats when you think about it because youre still on the ground. But once youre there, its time to relax because its out of my hands. It makes me anxious. I generally think about what you have to say once youre on the plane what good does it do to make you worry about these things. But you think that flying is foolproof, that this type of stuff doesnt happen, but then you read and this is only the ninth time that this person has flown this plane and this person has never landed this particular plane in this particular airport. Thats a tricky airport at that. So it does make me anxious. Im with you, first of all, i was getting on board a plane when someone turned to me and said, you heard what happened at sfo. Im literally getting ready to step on the threshold of the plane. An i said, no, what happened. And i was shocked and it stopped me cold. As you said, theres nothing you can do. But its the last thing you want to hear about. Having said that i do think that they are almost foolproof given good weather conditions and air Traffic Control that is normal. Those things seem to be the case here. Its a prevailing circumstance that should have been fairly traintranquil but yet this while card comes into play, i wish i could be as philosophical as you are, jayar, because thats the only view. If all of these other things can be perfect and still we can end up with this scenario . You almost have to throw up your hands. They say there is risk in driving every day. Even on those points we forget about that. You see an accident on the free, oh, im going to stop driving. And there are probably greater risks on the freeway believe it or not. Let that be it. Eliot spitzer hes back at it, no i mean back at politics. Details next on the turks. If you believe in states rights but still support the drug war you must be high. Viewpoint digs deep into the issues of the day. Do you think there is any chance well ever hear the president even say the word carbon tax . With an opened mind. Has the time finally come for real Immigration Reform . And a distinctly satirical point of view. But you mentioned great leadership so i want to talk about donald rumsfeld. laughter cutting throught the clutter of todays top stories. This is the savior of the Republican Party . I mean really . What the hell were they thinking . Only on current tv. Mark well, Eliot Spitzer has been active but not active in politics for some time. Now hes going to be active in the state of new york in a big way. He needs to collect 700 signatures to put himself on the ballot to be nyc comptroller. He is asking the public for forgiveness after he was caught sleeping with a prostitute. Watch him with his response. First im asking for forgiveness for what led to my resignation, but i hope they look at the records i had as attorney general. I see people every day people who encourage me to run. They appreciate what i did who also say people do get second chances. Voters will make that determination. Voters will agree with me, disagree with me, which ever way they go. Im appreciative of the democratic process. Well, his apology is good enough for me. As you probably already know he was very very tough on wall street. He was one of the very few politicians in this country that actually went to the bankers that destroyed this economy and tried to make them take consequences for that. Which is why he was the one who was outed for what did he not to say what he did was right but they were out for him and they wanted to get him out of power, out of office so he wouldnt go after wall street any more. One of his competitors released a statement through sasha owen. And this is what she had to say. A proven record of results and integrity has entered into race to help find its footing and by contrast Eliot Spitzer is going to spurn the Campaign Finance going by family fortune. And there is reference to his wealthy family, and how hes going to use their money to run the campaign rather than going to corporations. Which im in favor of. Hes not going to go through the system that is really killing our system through corporations donating and these types of processes. But this is exactly what i was wondering. Are you going to go withwell, we can assume the talking point against him is the past and the scandal, or are you going to find a problem with the way he ran the state before. Its hard to see them try to come with theoh you know who he was right . Thats been out there so many times. Is there an amount of time to wait. Do you wait a few years. People go, okay, i heard about it for five years now move on. Its really interesting. I think the one thing that the middle class and the working class can agree on is that wall street screwed us, and they never paid any consequences for it everybody agrees with that, and feel that wall street should pay the price for what they did to the economy. When i hear about Eliot Spitzer reentering politics, there are supportive comments in those articles, because people like the fact is that that. The is aof that. He would fight for the working class. Mark more good guys have been derailed in life and politics by this sexual thing and its a puritanical bunch of junk which has diverted the real discussion. This guy was holding wall streets fight feet to the fire. They went on a witchhunt to get him. They felt the pressure of Eliot Spitzer on wall street. If you havent seen the movie client nine. You should see the movie client nine. It will anger you. I dont know what motivates anyone to public office. I always hope its a sense of Public Service and they want to make a difference. Spitzer did make a difference. Now its in this odd way. He comes from the highest heights, after all maybe he wants to make a political difference and a Public Service difference in the state of new york. The things he did, of course, were wrong, of course . Maybe in that aspect he can come back as a smarter better person to run for office. I mean, sometimesi think he mentioned sometimes you get up with your own hype in what you think you can get away with. And you feel youre invincible. And maybe even though it was a witchhunt, maybe he can come back, and there isnt really anything else they can come after him for. Theyve already done that. Weve played those cards. Its over now. They cant hit him on that again. Its funny, youre right. He has to have been humbled by this, and these guys, all of them who i think ascend ascend to great power have to have a great sense of confidence, and those egos have to take a bruising. But on the other hand you have to be humbled. Maybe he has reached a balance that way. One of his competitors is a former madam kristin davis. She released a statement of her own. Shes suiting seething about. while i agree she should be on the ballot, and i would love to see him as the controller here, i think she has a point too. Remember, he was in charge of prosecuting prostitutes and madams and they definitely paid a price for the same behavior he was involved in. I dont blame her for being bitter about that. Mark there is certainly hypocrisy. Thats one of the things that hes apologizing for. But it is bizarre that this race has all these elements that has synthesized this mans life at this moment. The madam has spitzer apologizing, and the madam and then wall streeter. Isnt the contender the republican contender is a wall streeter. You end up with this bizarre cage match between all these elements in spitzers life. It all ties together, but i wonder if part of her motivation is to get her day to speak at Eliot Spitzer about with what she experienced versus what he did based on them being involved in generally the same life. No one really thinks youre going to win. There are certain candidates where were thinking they just want to get their licks in. What is the motivation, any of these types of things. Is there a prop in your career or other areas that youre trying to get fulfilled but i wonder if that is the main motivation here. Youre outside of the same thought. She knows she doesnt have a chance, but this is her chance to get a mouth piece to talk. And in new york, every chance for Anthony Weiner to come back and Eliot Spitzer. Well see how new york reacts. There is a lot of money in new york. Mark i would like to see us finallyi dont know if it will ever happen because of the nature of the country, but i would like to push aside all of this. Our obsession with sex who slept with who. These guys have paid huge prices in their families, and for us to fall prey to that is sad. We have this obsession with sex scandals because its more easier to understand and its more interesting to focus on that. The sex scandals will still happen and people will still harp on them. But we have entered this stage of redemption where we allow the politicians to like, you stay away for a couple of years, then they come back and apologize profusely and we say, you know, what lets give them another chance. Its time to have it happen for a democratic candidate because it happens to republicans all the time. Which is hilarious because they run on family values, and they go against what they campaign for. Mark by the way, if youre in the state of new york where this all goes down, the New York Post run by hue Peter Rupert Mourdock will have a field day with this. Well follow this on the turks. Osama bin laden you may know the story you think you understand everything on Osama Bin Laden . No, a new report out. Well show it next on the turks. Mark welcome back to the turks. Im mark thompson, cenk is off. Ana and jayar, and were joined by hermela aregawi. The hunt for Osama Bin Laden that spanned all those years, we have our sense and popular sense of with whats happened now there so many areas, but now from the pakistani intelligence community. Yes a report was released by the commission ordered by the Supreme Court of pakistan. Were getting a different account on this raid that killed Osama Bin Laden. They gathered details from local pakistani officials including members of bin ladens family. The story goes like this. In their cramped rooms on the second floor bin laden and sadah, his third wife, hear what they initially think is a sound of a storm outside. They go to the balcony to see what is happening, but the night of may 1st is a moonless one and its pitchdark. Sadah reaches out to switch on a light. But her husband said no, he calls for his son khalid,. And moments later bin laden is joined by two of his daughters 21yearold miriam and 20yearold sumayya. Theyre reciting the karma now we learn something from this. Some of the bin laden family members refused to leave him as ordered, and bin laden reached for his weapon. This is when Osama Bin Ladens third shot is light. A red dot appears on his body. She stands in front of him and shes shot in the knee. Sumayya did fall to the ground, but she didnt see her father fall to the ground when he was shot but she did once his body was found. Sumayya testifies that he was hit in the forehead and his face was clear and recognize eyeing. After they are told to stand in a corner and later led out of the room. Also in the report is that Pakistani Military government missed numerous opportunities to close in on bin laden. One of those times was in 2002 and 2003. Miriam onemaryam one of the bodyguards wife, told investigators that one of the trip their was pulled over. There are so many details about this raid. Some of which has been released by our people, the u. S. Government and some of wyoming has been discovered. Why is it okay for us to have all of this information but people like snowden and Bradley Manning are being persecuted or chased for information that we dont know has compromised National Security . Im leaving it up to you guys to decide. Mark thats a great question. There are so many details and they came out almost immediately. This is certainly the most celebrated hunt in our lifetime, and we end up with all of these details. Usually theyinitially they were leaked. It draws into question how come leaks about troop actions in iraq become suspect while the binladen leaks there is no issue about. What i love, here the pakistani government is made out to be really incompetent and maybe they are but what about the u. S. Government, when were we in the tenyear hunt for Osama Bin Laden and where were we and why is that incompetency not being talked about. There were things in the pakistani Intelligence Report that showed up soft spots. Not necessarily the conspiracy of the pakistanis that we have a popular view that the pakistanis were aiding and abetting bin laden. But they suggested in this report that it was basic incompetence of the sored that you might hear our government being busted for. But our government never releases anything that shows their incompetence. Thats my point. Any time anything is released its how heroic they are and how courageous they were in this raid. And of course they are courage the Seal Team Six members, but there is no information being realized about where did we fail as the u. S. Government in trying to catch Osama Bin Laden up to this point . We failed by not trying. We werent looking for him. President bush toll us that. We were talking about other things that we were destroying. When that happens, someone needs to bring it up. But he told us directly what his concerns were, and they had nothing to do with him on that point. As far as making america look heroic, these leaks happen. Look at the details you outlined throughout that whole account. From bin laden, he did in fact have a weapon. It was wife number three and two to three daughters, they werent targeted. We look like really good guys. And im not even doubting the story, but we release those types of details because we did this the right way clean cut and dried. They looked for him, the wives were in the way no, dont dont, dont. Can you identify your daughter. Again, it works, i will be honest with you it made me feel good. Were the good guys. We wont shoot the wife. It works. The reason why they do it is because it works. You want to leak things about not were spying on you and checking your emails. Mark those dont work on you the same way the other story does . We did it clean you never even knew it happened. In reality what the Obama Administration is trying to do is prove theyre not violating Civil Liberties. When it comes to snowden showing that the government is violating our Civil Liberties they want to shut that down and thats why theyre so hard to whistle blowers. But this looks good for the military, for the Obama Administration and it looks like we did everything correctly correctly. Its blatant hypocrisy, i wish our government would be consistent in their leaks. I understand that there is some information that needs to be classified but when the biggest raid in a decade is being brought out to the public, and the Defense Department has moved a lot of details of the raid to the c. I. A. To make it more classified and make it harder for the public to get access to it but you already released so many details. Why is it that whatever you left out is becoming classified. Mark more to your point what are you moving . Seldom does the government come forward and say this is how we messed pup it was friendly fire. The most recent one the ball player. Who was it . Pat tillman. The tillman coverup was obscene in the extreme. And it came right out of our military, and our government at the highest levels. So they dont step forward with this stuff that makes them look bad. Absolutely. Not surprising. Mark thank you very much for all of that. I appreciate that. Were going to be on to egypt with the discussion of whats happening, and its a very sorted situation but we have the person here on the turks who will sort it all out. Back in a moment. Mark when you look at what is happening in egypt, it takes a team to sort it all out and we have a team with us. Noreen moustafa joins us, and you have great sources for news egypt and here and you helped us to follow this bouncing ball of overthrow and now there are casualties associated with the military opening fire on what theyre calling protesters. Right. Mark ana, you will help us also in all of this. I will. It turns out the military is clashing with supporters of morsi and understandably, the country right now is pretty much divided. Of course there was this huge up rising against morsi, but he still has his supporters u including the Muslim Brotherhood. A situation led to people dying and this is because of the clashes. Wounded demonstrateors told us that the military shot first. They came in with tanks and troops, threw bombs and ammunition. But the army said they were attacked first by what they called armed terrorists. Nearly a week after the military removed morsi from power, egypt is tittering on the brink of a civil war. We need to stick to our principles. We return the president to his of thefulel place or its from the streets. They held a press conference to explain themselves and why there was a clash between the morsi supporters and the military. And they kicked aljazeera from that press conference. Its very depressing news, the footages of funerals of more than 50 people killed. There are conflicting reports which makes reporting on egypt so difficult. Some are saying there are media sources for whatever side youre on and there are videos circulating on both sides. There is a video that shows clearly that the army was attacked these people were armed, and calls into question if whether or not you can still call them protesters. Many were shot in the back with while running away, and that is troubling, sad depressing news. They were calling on the army to show tremendous restraint. This is the only word that the Egyptian Government is getting from the u. S. Government, and i would have to say last night was notdid not show restraint at all. And for a military that is trying to position themselves and show that this wasnt a coup, and theyre simply exercising the peoples will, i think is a start. The military did hold a press conference to show what happens with the clash. Aljazeera reporters were there, and they were kicked out on the fact that aljazeera has been supportive of morsi. One of the reporters sent out a tweet saying the following. A bullet may kill a person. A lying camera kills a nation. That was in reference to a flyer dropped near aljazeera office. Aljazeera has become public enemy number one since all of the pro Muslim Brotherhood channels have been taken off the air. And they were saying that there was coverage favoring morsi and inciting violence. When i hear of the quashing of freedom of speech, that frightens me, but staffers felt that they were getting messages from up top to portray things in pro morsi fashion. There is definitely a media war taking place along side what you see on the streets. You see that in all types of media. Its amazing watching my facebook feed and seeing so much michelle malcham clips and sean hannity. I thought why are my family members posting sean hannity. Its a narrative that is picking up a lot of heat. That obama was funding the brother muslim. Something that conservatives here like to run with. What is the truth about american money going into egypt and talk a little bit about the word coup cant be usedded. Weve been funding the Egyptian Military for years. Were talking about billions of dollars, and there is a specific law on the books that says once a country experiences a military coup all humanitarian funding must stop. So theyre tap dancing is this a coup is this not a coup, and its a fluid thing as we see. What is critical that money was going to the Egyptian Military. When people talk about the u. S. Funding the Muslim Brotherhood, that is a disconnect that i have not seen proven. It highlights the level of misinformation give to americans. Its one of those things that we dont get a chance to know directly what is happening. There are different journalists and news outlets in the country and all were hear something he saidshe said, retold stories and then given a new twist for all american ears and eyes. It changes the stories so many different ways people say we have to stop funding the military of the Muslim Brotherhood because they have no ideathey have no idea what theyre talking about because were not told the right things. Our access to these things is destroyed, and its depressing. What do you think about u. S. Involvement in this situation whether youre funding the military or not. Do you feel that the u. S. Should be doing either or . What is amazing you have both sides accusing the other side being under u. S. Influence or being funded by the u. S. This to me is a failure of american policies if both sides are accusing us. That means were either playing both sides or never really took a strong position. I get the impression that it was playing it safe where we just want peaceful democracy in this country. If youre going to run it if its peaceful, thats fine with us. If youre going to run it peaceful fine. Well help you out. Mark and we are rooting for democracy, but one person, one vote, it leads to a fundamentalist regime coming to power once again. We were talking about this earlier. As you break down the population i think we have a graphic on this, d9, do you have the graphic on whether or not egypt wants islamist rule. These are some of the different parties that exist in egypt right now, and youll see the most popular parties are impact the islamic party. It seems to indicate that the population of egypt doesnt really want a secular liberal government. If you want one person, one vote, youll end up with islamist rule that can have a lot of these laws that essentially create a civil rights situation that is intolerable. You wonder if that will change after experimenting with theexperimenting withthe Muslim Brotherhood this past year. Do minds change . Mark do we have time to get to the brother . This has been a pretty dark week or couple of days in egypt, and seeing this kid really cheered me up, and hes got my vote for the next president of egypt. Mark i mean, talk about you only wish the 12yearolds could become president. He sees it with utter clarity. I urge everyone to take a look at that video. He really breaks it down. Mark he really does. He doesnt miss a beat. Its remarkable. So i know this is an impossible situation to look into the future on, but its just really wait and see. It doesnt appear to be cooling out in the least, does it . No, i think the military is officially on notice right now that if they really want to win this argument on whether or not it was a coup, it would be in their best interest to show restraint and respect for the people. Mark thanks, noreen, for updating us. The zimmerman trial goes on, and this was an interesting day. Theyre all interesting but this one particularly. We heard from the victims father. Well talk to robin as sax next on the turks. We have a big, big hour and the iq will go way up. vo current tv gets the conversation started weekdays at 9 eastern. Im a slutty bob hope. The troops love me. Tv and radio talk show host Stephanie Miller rounds out currents morning news block. Youre welcome current tv audience for the visual candy. vo sharp tongue. Excuse me . vo quick wit. And yes, president obama does smell like cookies and freedom. vo and above all, opinion and attitude. What could possibly go wrong in eight years of george bush . My producer just coughed up a hairball. Sorry. Just be grateful current tv doesnt come in smellovision oh come on the sweatshirt is nice and all but i could use a golden lasso. Mark welcome back to the turks. The case against George Zimmerman continues. Robin sax joins us on the panel to take us through another day in which we heard the 911 call. Nine times today we heard the 911 call. This is day two of the George Zimmerman. Get a summary lets listen to abc reports. It is the key 911 call in the case against George Zimmerman at the heart of todays test moan. [ screaming ] do you think hes yelling help . Yes. The defense focusing its second day on that voice calling out for help on the background. A lead detective said that Trayvon Martins father did not immediately recognize. I asked if it was his son calling for help . What was his response . It was more verbal and nonverbal. He looked away he said no. Tracy martin denying the claim when he took the stand. I said i cant tell. Your words, i cant tell. Something to that effect. But i never said that was not my sons voice. They played the tape over and over, each of people coming to the stand coming to the same conclusion, that George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin in self defense. Yes thats georges voice. Yes thats george. Trayvon martins father testified on behalf of the defense, and that was a little crazy. But the toxicology report that was originally ruled inadmissible, but now its ruled at missable. Mark the toxicology report is important because . One of George Zimmermans key things that he said was he believed that Trayvon Martin was under the drugs therefore justifying him following him and justifying his behavior. All of a sudden toxicology comes in. Now one of the biggest points that i think the prosecution can go after here is saying, listen, we dont have the toxicology for George Zimmerman. That will require them to do what theyve been trying to get out of what theyve been doing. Here is another thing we didnt do right. But that thats what this case is all about. How do you think the friends and family saying that is George Zimmermans voice. As i live to their testimony i cant help saying, yeah, youre looking out for your friend. Of course youre going to say that is georgey. The usage of georgey really got under my skin. Skin. Mark that was over the top for you . Yes, that was a way to make him look innocent, child like, georgey, iser he is so innocent. He could never do that. Mark it felt coached. Georgey originally, but just as much as you would expect George Zimmermans friends to testify in George Zimmermans favor, that was the same in the prosecution case. You would expect trayvons mom would testify in his favor and his dad would testify in his favor. Thats what you expect. George zimmermans friend, who was someone who could be viewed as somewhat credible. Mark if a toxicology report came in on Trayvon Martin and showed thc in his system, that would not imply aggression. You know how those pot smokers. They go out there and they get violent. Thats what they do. If i was prosecution, i would let that in right away. Ito think that George Zimmerman was in fear of his life. Mark do you think this is an investigation botched and now a prosecution, i dont want to say botched but mishandled. Were hearing people finally saying that the prosecution case sucks. Thats unfortunate. Mark is that because they didnt do thethey didnt have the investigation. They let this guy just thats exactly right. The prosecutors job was and is to clean up the mess of poor investigation. And it took public outcry for proper investigation. That didnt mean that they did a proper investigation after the shoddy investigation, theyre dealing moment and moment, time and time again with that shoddy investigation. Mark they let zimmerman go, and it was just essentiallynow to see the failings of the prosecution, its tough to get a conviction. I think it will be tough to get a conviction. But i want you to listen to what mark omeara had to say. s worried about something else. Maybe not. Zimmermans lead attorney mark omeara said one of his primary concerns is the jury acquitting him on seconddegree murder but charging him with other charges.
