could not get the one off the bat of alex rios. jason berken, i think he has still to work on his command but he is not afraid of contact of the one thing that he does -- and i know difficult tream bleeh -- we won't talk about him because he is suspended but rick kranitz likes the fact that he will battle you. he will get better as he gets more experienced. this is aa, back to aa, but he won 2-0 in five games at aaa and then right to the big leagues. that's a very quick ascencion. >> gary: it's amazing how similar these pitchers are. both have quick ascending, both similar e.r.a.s. both trying to keep their spot. rolen is retired. he is 0-for-2 in the ballgame. 2 down here in the 4th inning. >> jim: there you go. youngsters trying to make a living the the big difference here, 2.9 and 6 1/2. that does make a big difference. it gets you a little bit of coverage. for jason, we mentioned only in his last start in anaheim, the orioles actually with two 4-0 leads did not win either of those games. tonight, better. the breaking ball is better and then right there, we talked about scott rolen, he pops up the change-ups. using the complimentary pitches more effectively. >> gary: vernon wells. wells with a nine-game hit streak the he flied out to center. adam jones has four putouts in centerfield so far in the ballgame. this is a flyball-hitting team. this is a team that hits line drives, flyballs. that one popped up, third base. melvin mora. and another strong inning as berken sets the side down in order. that's the third time he has done that in 4 innings. male announcer: the chicken is tender, juicy, and lightly breaded. the sauce is a mouthwatering blend of sweet & spicy. every bite delivers a kick of asian chilies, real red pepper flakes, and a hint of garlic. it's about as far as it gets from fast food. and that's why you get it at wendy's. female announcer: introducing sweet & spicy asian chicken. one of three new chicken temptations from wendy's. it's waaaay better than fast food. it's wendy's. . >> gary: time to bring you up to speed with the at&t rapid rewind. >> jim: it's been a great inning for jason berken, getting the outs and then cesar izturis getting the big out. >> gary: ground ball, first ball. rolen up, throwing. he has got him. reimold is retired. 0-for-2. >> jim: got jammed a couple of times. of course, rolen won seven gold gloves during the course of his career. >> gary: that will bring luke scott up. luke delivered a single, start that had 2nd inning when they loaded the bases and could not get the run in. among the dhs, luke continues to lead, second in batting average, first in homeruns and first in rbis for designated hitters in the american league. left hander coming inside to him for a ball. orioles trying to take advantage of the big numbers they put up here at home. they are 24-20 at home, 14-27 on the road. 1-0 delivery taken outside, largely due to the offense. they have the largest differential in batting average in the league, home and road. >> jim: don't you think it's pretty simple. if you score over five runs at home and give up 4.3, you're going to win some games and if you score 4 and give up close to of on the road, you are not going to win games on the road. that's been the story. >> gary: you can change it. >> jim: there is certainly not a team that is -- that's not the 1985 cardinals where they have the big ballpark jack fly and they have the big guys that can fly. the pitching should be better on the road and that's going to be the goal for the second half, not to mention the next three ballgames until you get there. >> gary: he has that one. a little too much of the plate as bret -- has brett cecil and luke scott has his second hit. >> jim: no one is swinging the bat on this team better than luke scott. not only for power. you mentioned the three homeruns in the month of july and then, again, to me, he is the strongest guy on this team. and, this year, he has shown tremendous bat speed, the ability to hit the ball left center and over. >> gary: now let's see if the orioles are getting something on with less than two outs can turn it into a run inning. orioles 0-3-0. jays, 0-1-0. melvin mora cranks that one down the right field side and that will be a foul ball melvin drew a walk. the only walk surrendered by brett cecil who has three strikeouts. jason berken, a walk and a strikeout so far for the orioles starter. >> jim: melvin would like to get into that second half groove last year, shoulder problems and hit .376, drove in 56 runs in 48 games. that was probably the most productive hitter in the american league in the second half of the year. >> gary: 0-1 delivery to him. the fastball be taken up high. melvin knows, one of the questions for the orioles is what's going to happen at the corners. in the short term as well as the long term. who is going to play first and who is going to play third? will it be melvin mora? >> jim: the same across the diamond. aubrey huff will be a free agent unless will re-signs. >> gary: melvin would like to put up some numbers. >> jim: he will get the opportunity. the david hernandez move; yes, you get him to the minor league and get the start but also not having to make a decision on pie and salazar, especially with the three lefties coming up. you would like to have an oscar on the bench to help you if you need a pinch hit. >> gary: 1-1 delivery on the way. long run for hill. he gets it. he gets the out. hill had played mora more towards second base. scott goes down to second and there are two down. hill had a long way to go. >> jim: good moving fastball. your call is right. you see the bat shatters. otherwise, this ball might have gotten into right field but, again, it appears to me -- and we have only been here four innings but this infield appears slower than when we have been on the west coast. of course, he didn't hit it particularly well. >> gary: now, matt wieters stands at the plate. with two down, scott will be off at the crack of the bat. >> jim: wells has a real outstanding arm in right. lind, average in left. dellucci. >> gary: wieters starting to pull the numbers up in these situations, too, with runners in scoring position. he is 4-for-23 now. that's just .174. he got off the slide on the last couple of weeks in the last department. he tried to yank that one and went foul as he pulled it upstairs. 1-1. >> jim: the thing about brett cecil, at least he used all his pitches, maybe a little erratic. when you saw matt wieters hit his first homerun from this side of the plate, it was a bomb in anaheim. >> gary: scott is jumping around. he realized that nobody was going to cover the bag. and the 1-2 count. >> jim: there is no reason for the middle infielders to cut down the lead. he does not have that much speed. he will be running, anyway, on contact. they would rather try to field their positions. >> gary: that's something that dave trembley was talking about before the game. he said, you know, the things that are done right, fundamentally, are rarely noted. but the mistakes that are made stand out. what luke scott is doing is one of those funneled. ally right things. nobody is covering the bag. don't go two steps. go four, five, six until somebody challenges you. that gives you a better charges to get home. now stepping off, cecil wants to chat with chavez. >> jim: you see this at camden yard. i don't think on the one-hop, i don't think he can throw him out because he is going to get a tremendous jump. >> gary: that sure would make it a lot tougher. >> jim: yep. >> gary: cecil gets together with chavez on what he wants to throw to wieters with two down and a 1-2 count. and a breaking ball is what it was. 4 strikeouts. no runs, 4 hits. no errors and one left on. it remains scoreless. behind me, it seems i've got three times the bills i used to. and they're getting in the way of things i'd like to do. with the money bar, i can move my money around instantly, so when there's more bills than usual, it's no problem. and i use the wish list to put any extra money aside for anything i want. being in control of my money feels good. introducing the virtual wallet from pnc, a high-definition, online view of your money. pnc. leading the way. . >> amber: back at the yard, want to keep you updated on the changes on the upcoming rotation. rich hill will come out to make the start facing ricky romero. on sunday, brad bergesen will go in place of jeremy guthrie. he will be against mark zetskinkky. he has been scratched because he still is feeling the flu virus. until he is healthy, they will pull him out of the starting rotation. >> gary: there is the change ant base hit as lyle overbay delivers a single leading off the 5th inning. so the leadoff man is on for the first time in the ballgame for either team. >> jim: that's one of these games where you get into a 0-0 ballgame can you get the first guy out? he walked him last time there is another change-up. he threw him four the last time and that led to the walk and brian roberts, great effort on the x mo, trying to get the ball before it gets into the outfield. >> gary: we'll see how brian butterfield, the acting manager, wants to play this. rios will take it inside for a ball. another one of the numbers we talk b you get a leadoff man on, how often do you score in the american league average, 422%, orioles just below that. but really right there at the average of 40%. that's the average. >> jim: that's actually down. they used to be around 49 to 50% every year. it used to go down to 15% when you got the first guy out. that's a big, big difference. >> gary: here is the 1-1 delivery. berken wanted the call, didn't get it. >> jim: and you may tell a pitcher about, okay, strike 1, because sometimes, 120, 130 point in the batting average versus ball 1, how about that number? i need to get the first guy out? oh, yes, you do because there is about a 30% difference or maybe greater. and depending upon what point in the line-up you are, you have a guy that can steal, you know, halladay loses yesterday when crawford gets on who leads the american league in stole en bases. he steals, they throw it into centerfield. runner at third with one out in the 1st inning and they end up scoring a run. >> gary: rios waiting on it chops it foul. speaking of the numbers, great story in the new york times today for those of you who like statistics in baseball. a whole new dimension is going to be opened up with a brand new camera vision that's going to follow every movement of every player and every ball that's thrown during every baseball game. it's going to measure those things we call the unmeasurables, how many balls the shortstop gets to per given chance and how many don't they and how many leads are taken and how many feet. it's going to have every darn thing that happens in the course of a game. >> jim: i think they have been doing that in basketball. i think it's one of the scouting mechanisms to see what guys do when the ball is not in their hands, how well they move. all of a sudden, you can analyze the basketball game and now baseball. >> gary: centerfield again. jones back, turns, 360, not going to get t mills played. runner had to hold up at second base. overbay. he will have to stop at third. adam jones got turned the wrong way. that's a catchable ball for him. but once he had to turn his back to the plate and pick the ball up again, he could to the do it. >> jim: if you're going to play shallow and you can see him in that little bit of sod that's been replaced here and you turn the wrong way -- that's why only the really special outfielders can go back as well as they can come in. >> gary: so berken in trouble here. two in scoring position and nobody out. rioss that delivered yet another double as he is 2-for-2 in the ballgame. now, he has 22 doubles on a ball club that leads the majors in doubles. and here is david dellucci. dellucci looking for his first hit since coming up as he has played in five games now and is 0-for-14. >> jim: he hits the same balls to the right side, he will get a run over and a run in. that's what toronto would like. obviously, they would like the bone just with a base hit. if they play the game right, ground ball to the right side, another one, and you have to either play your infield in and you have yourself a 2-0 lead. >> gary: dellucci, a .258 major league average. dellucci has played in 1081 major league baseball games. he is 35 years old and he has been all over the place in the mine morse and majors, diamondbacks, yankees, texas, philadelphia, the last two years in cleveland. he will get the rbi. brian roberts will have to make the play over to first. rbi for dellucci. he has an rbi before he gets a hit. and a 1-0 lead for toronto. overbay scores and rios goes to third. >> gary: this remind e the orioles are hosting a series of baseball camps designed for boys and girls at 16. daily lunch, professional instruction, go to orioles.com, click on fan forum to register and find out more. now, the infield is going to be drawn in. raul chavez takes the pitch for a strike. he lined out to second his first time up. >> jim: and how big is the misplay by adam jones. it's not an error but it really set up this inning. now, you put a lot of pressure on a young pitcher. just the way the game is played. we saw it in eat when the orioles went ahead on tuesday night. they had -- seattle had to play their infield in and the orioles took advantage of it. >> gary: almost hit rios in foul territory. >> jim: that's why you are in foul territory. still hurts. there you go. >> gary: tip to maloo. chavez with runners in scoring position. 0-2 count on him. and one up high and away, trying to get him to go after t he did not. and a 1-2 count on chavez. 1-0 lead on the rbi by dellucci. chavez now with a chance. we'll see whether rios will go on contact on the ground ball. here is the 1-2 delivery. stays at 1-2. >> jim: hung a little slider and he jerked it foul. the orioles saw him play briefly in bald more in 2006 after playing the -- almost the entire year at aa bowie and he came in last year with the pirates when he was playing for pittsburgh. saw time with montreal, seattle, houston. he has been around, as you mentioned. >> gary: he is batting .260 in the start, the previous 22 starts that he has had. told you he has the great arm. he has thrown out 43% of would- be base stealers, 43%, very high number. >> jim: on the guy on the bench, their regular catcher he is leading the american league in rbis for catchers. that's rod about a jags. >> gary: chavez has an rbi. reimold will get it to the cutoff man and another double, three doubles in the ballgame for toronto and a 2-0 lead. >> jim: you hang sliders, that's the one he hit foul. watch this one kind of hovering around. that's up in the zone. we talked about pnc scouting reports. stay down. melvin can't catch it. he is anticipating something down and away. you can see that's why he is that far off the line. if he knew he was going to hang a slider -- okay, i'm going to hang a slider to this guy. play the line. that's not the way it works. >> gary: 193 doubles for toronto. they have seven more than boston coming into the paul game. the rbi picked up by chavez. still only one out here in the 5th inning. scutaro grounded out, flied out, top of the order. and that one in the air to right. markakis, runner tags. here is the throw. melvin mora the tag, not in time. chavez will move up on the flyball out by scutaro. i things is why nick markakis leads the american league in assists. look at this arm. and on the money. >> reporter: chavez not particularly fast. that's why they had a chance. he just got in. watch that ankle. nick markakis with 8 assists in the outfield but chavez beats that one. now here is hill. he has popped out and struck out. the slider up high. this is where berken has had all kinds of troubles as far as part of a ballgame. he has been pulled prior to completing five innings in six of his last seven starts. he was trying to get through this 5th inning and get deeper into this ballgame. wieters wasn't sure where it went. not far enough away for chavez to think about coming. >> jim: pitch count not an issue. leadoff base hit, adam jones turns the wrong way, second and third. there are the numbers you were talking about when you get into the -- they have them on the board at 67 pitches here. but his stuff, his breaking stuff is much crisper tonight even though he did hang the slide tore chaves. >> gary: 2-0 delivery on the way. popped it up. melvin mora coming, should call for it and does. and he makes the catch. but two runs in on three hits with a runner left on and the jays take a 2-0 2 lead. ? . >> gary: manager dave trembley said today this made my day as he, nick markakis and wife christina were visiting today as part of the program with the baltimore city public schools. the children at point royal elementary school as they were there for a couple of hours working with the kids. there will be some 14,000 student with the,000 -- students with the 84 outreach program. >> jim: that's a great program. >> gary: dave wantd to make sure that we said hi to the faculty and the kid today because he really had a great time. 2-0 lead. it will be izturis coming up for the orioles as they trail. roberts and jones to follow. izturis came up with the bases loaded and hit into a fielder's choice in the 2nd inning. 4 hits for the jays, 3 for the o's as brett cecil, 23-year-old left hander, delivers inside for a ball. this toronto team lost three in a row, swept by tampa bay. they had lost 11 of their last 14. this is the first time this year that they had fallen below .500. their steps scored 34 runs in the last 37 games. >> jim: i ran the numbers. they scored a lot of runs early on and did very well in april and may and pitching has always been consistent. pitching stayed about the same. this month, e.r.a. a bit over five runs a game. there is another good pitch. izturis retired, one away. >> jim: the one thing -- and i don't know if brett cecil tried to do that on purpose but he is trying to move everybody's hits by throwing that stuff in. he is an uncomfortable guy to hit, all off the place but at the end of the day, he has been pitching pretty well. >> gary: effectively wild. >> jim: yes. >> gary: he only walked one. if you watched the game and didn't keep a count, you swear he must have walked three or four. our league leaderboard presented by firestone, a tradition of innovation. brian roberts on top with doubles. some question about whether pedroia will be able to go to the all-star game. there may have to be a replacement for the red sox second baseman. his wife, pregnant, close to giving birth and some concern apparently that nobody is talking about, private matter. they're going to wait until the last minute to see if he's going to be able to go. here is the 0-2 delivery. breaking ball to short. scutaro, two down. brett cecil has some sink going here in the ground ball in the 5th. >> jim: two guys with e.r.a.s with over 6 runs in the paul game and it's a 2-0 gamey could have been 0-0, with better defense from this guy. >> gary: adam jose molina. >> jim: we noticed when we played in anaheim, torii hunter played a little deeper and when we were in anaheim, adam was playing deeper. >> gary: jew do that when you are playing heros. >> jim: earl weaver's theory was right on, with the exception of paul blair. it's easier to come in and the balls go over your head, they are usually extra base hits or homeruns. and what torey hunter does, he play as little bit deeper, he is able to go over the wall. >> gary and give up the single maybe. >> jim: you obviously do that with two outs. >> gary: the youngest average age for the outfielder, the arizona diamondback, the reds and then the orioles at 25 for the orioles and pittsburgh. team building. that pitch is taken down low for a ball and the count goes to 2-1 on jones. nolan reimold there the left fielder. >> jim: he is 25. nick is 25. adam will be 24 in august. >> gary: 2 balls 1 strike count. brett cecil -- that one is going to be lined, left centerfield. wells will hustle to hold him to a single and will. jones makes the turn. 1-for-3, ball gets away but backed up by the pitcher. so, again, the orioles get a hit with two down. that's the same thing they did in the 2nd inning, same thing they did in the 3rd. >> jim: this ball hit very, very hard. >> terry crowley said still a lot to learn for adam jones. the reason crow was saying it --'s very good student, very hard worker but, again, maybe not even 1,000 at-bats in the big leagues. >> gary: now, nick markakis, orioles down by 2. each team has 4 hits in the ballgame. markakis a single and he has popped out. and the pitch is up high for a ball to nick. and this is one of the problems we mentioned earlier in the ballgame, the differential with these two teams offensively. the orioles have four hits but they are all singles. toronto has four hits but three of them are doubles. thus, two runs for toronto. 1-0 delivery. markakis takes it on the outside corner. didn't like it. 1-1. turns to jerry mills to have a word with him. >> jim: they ran an article on espn.com talking about nick had not hit a homerun in 168 at- bats. so, again, you are one swing away from getting one and getting the orioles right back in this game. that's why he likes to see strikes, not balls. that's the way it is when you hit. >> gary: he has been the extra hit man along with luke scott, nick markakis. 28 of his 63 hits have been for extra bases. he has had a single in this game. you look at total bases, that number really shows up between the two teams as toronto is second in the league in total bases, second only to the yankees. the orioles are 9th in total bases. that's what we are talking about with the extra base hits where that shows up. 1 ball, 1 strike count. markakis, breaking ball, outside and the count will go to 2-1. brett cecil has had problems each time. he has been able to work around it but has had to work very hard. you see the second time through the numbers down and then the third time through it, really jumps. this is the third time through. jones off first. 2-1, markakis. left center. scutaro the shortstop. and he has got it. no runs, one hit, no errors and a base runner left on as brett cecil continues to work his way out of jams here. 2-0. @ú@úéúxú0t0t geico's been saving people money on car insurance for over 70 years. and who doesn't want value for their dollar? been true since the day i made my first dollar. where is that dollar? i got it out to show you... uhh... was it it has a little lemon zest and a historic brewing spice called grains of paradise. it's citrusy, lemony. sam adams summer ale. it just totally reminds you of summer, yeah. . >> gary: take a look at the geico game summary. berken pitched well. cecil has been even better. and, again, in a close game, sometimes, it's the play here or there. ball over adam jones' head. dellucci will drive in one. chavez another. and there are the numbers for the two starters. berken 25, cecil 23 and, so far cecil has outpitched jason berken. >> gary: berken goes back to work here in the 6th inning after giving up the two runs on three hits. he has lind, rolen and wells. five-game hit streak for lind who has frownedded out and flied out. and he takes the pitch for a strike. 1-1. orioles have now stranded 6. three left on by the jays. 1-1. chasing upstairs. foul tipped it into the mitt, 1- 2. berken bringing some heat on that one. >> jim: yes, 93. >> gary: want to congratulate shane victorino of phillies and brandon inge of the tigers, the final two all stars named by the fans in the ballotting among the five players chosen by the managers that were voted on. they are both first-time all stars. 2 in the rotation. offst. pete just got enough. berken can't believe it. that was the sunday time newspaper hit there. just a soft thud >> jim: this is 9 big leagues. this is a .300 hitter. and if you hang them, you will get it. you can't play defense -- he can't play defense like nick markakis but his offensive numbers this year, very nick markakis like. scott rolen on a checked swing. did he go? nobody is asking so he didn't. this is a strong man holding up a swing right here. >> jim: could have been that 26th hit. >> gary: he has flied out and popped out. 25-game hit streak, career high, batting .390 during the streak. that is the longest active streak in the majors right now and as a result, moved his average to third best in the american league. >> jim: the other yells will get somebody up in the bullpen. that's kind of critical for young pitchers because you have to get hitters out the third time. matt albers is getting loose for the orioles. the third time, you have to make quality pitches. you can't be like the change-up to lind, belt high, because they have seen all your stuff. they see the movement, see how the slider breaks, see how the curve ball curls, how the change-up moves. so make some good pitches. >> gary: down the line, right field and heading foul. a 2 balls, 2 strikes count. the '97 rookie of the year with philadelphia,'s five-time all stars, 7 gold gloves and that's the career high streak that he brings into this series. >> jim: pretty nice streak. >> gary: that's a major, major streak right there. >> jim: when you talk to scott, he says he is finally healthy. that front shoulder had all kinds of sum call problems. laid off that fastball. almost thought about swinging at it. >> reporter: almost had to change his swing. he said, i can't hold that bat way up like i used to because my shoulder won't allow that. so he had to drop that down. >> jim: you can see him choking up a little bit. too many guys do that. >> gary: 3-2, runner going. jones is there at center camped upped t he has got it. one away here in the 6th. space is sold out for sunday at 2110 eutaw street. you will get another chance. there will be new dates added. right there. here is vernon wells. wells has a nine-game hit streak. he has popped out and flied out as well. he, too, hitting big during the streak, .285. >> jim: his legs are healthy, hamstring problems last year. >> gary: this, again, is going to be jones. two down. >> jim: nice job by jason berken, leadoff hit, nobody has advanced. good news about adam lind, he does not have a lot of speed. so he pretty much stays right at first base. >> gary: six putouts in centerfield for jones so far in the ballgame. >> jim: if it had been 7, the game would be tied. >> gary: exactly. the one he wants most is the one he didn't get. >> gary: lyle overbay. >> jim: it's easy to turn the wrong way on a ball hit directly at you. >> gary: yep. that's one of the tasks of learning to play center. >> gary: some players have trouble if they move right to right, centerfielders have to look at the balls directly hit at them. some players make the adjustment easily and others have to work at it. overbay will take that one for a strike. overbay got out of an 0-for streak he has been in. he came in with an 0-for-10. wieters, you saw him almost standing up giving the sign there he want that had pitch up high and out of the strike zone. that's right where he got t 1 ball, 2 strikes count. lind over at first base. 1-2. 2-2. dave trembley said of berken, delivery is the problem. he throws the curve ball too hard. tries to yank it too hard. take it easy. let up on it a little. he will be all right. 2-2 delivery. offspeed will miss, 3-2. 2 down, huff will move back. >> jim: there is that breaking ball you were talking about. but from 0-2 to 3-2, now, he is going to be running. not a lot of speed but you certainly give him and opportunity to get a much bigger jump at first. runner going and he walked him. that is the second walk surrendered. overbay got the other one in the 2nd. >> jim: there is a young batter -- if it was a young batter, he would try to get hmm out with breaking balls. by doing that, even though he does not have as good command as the fastballs, they're going to go to the bullpen. he pitched himself right out of the ballgame. it's not the pitch count credit to brett cecil. as jim was saying, they had been swinging the hot bat copping home from seattle. you can see how much trouble the oriole also have with left handers from time to time. this year actually playing much better than they have in the past but cecil tonight, pretty unhittable with that big sweeping slider. he certainly found the outside corner quite often. did not leave too many pitches. luke scott has one of them right there, striking out twice tonight, one time for brett cecil. the university of maryland product and maryland native comes back to baltimore and he allows no runs in 6 innings to pick up the win, only the four base hits. he walked two and struck out 5. it's really amazing when you look at first-time pitchers against the orioles, how they seem to dominate because the orioles have no reference points and they are in control. cecil was sontd. orioles never seen them. >> rick: and especially the toronto blue jays, they seem to be sending that first-year guy there against the orioles. >> jim: the orioles were hoping for a solid start by jason berken. he did that but, unfortunately, they didn't get it done for him. he was lifted in the 6th inning but he kept the orioles in the game. >> rick: i thought he did a pretty good job because he missed low in the strike zone and i said tonight he was probably going to have his best game already and i would think i would have to say that tonight. only one bad inning. he made good pitches for most of the night. right there, just situational hitting. you'll take the ground ball in that situation and try to keep the damage control intact and he certainly did that tonight. only one bad inning giving up the two runs. pretty disappointing, though, if this young man can go out there with all the good innings that he has had, the orioles have not been able to score him any runs. he came into this gil with only 2.9 runs per game and tonight, as jim palmer said earlier in the telecast, that will go down from that point, too. >> jim: there were a couple of balls hit over adam jones' head. jones playing shallow. it's unusual to have two balls hit almost directly over 0 the centerfielder's head. one bounced over for a grounds rule double and the other was hit over in straight away. >> rick: one the toughest plays for a centerfielder is a ball hit directly at him because you don't know how to read t aand >> rick: when he got him from houston, he was having a hard time against lefties, also. now he is where he wants to be. this is as good as it's going to get for luke scott because if you make a mistake on him, left hander or right hander, he is so strong. you shake hands with him sometimes, you can feel the strength in his hand. he stays back and uses his hand well. that's why he can take a pitch on the outside corner when a pitcher makes a good breaking ball down and away, he can it will run that top hand across and power the ball. that tells you how strongest. >> jim: tonight, we are in the masn booth because it's fireworks night at oriole park at camden yards. look at the beautiful fireworks display going on right outside our booth. ?
