big at virginia. jerome meyinsse at the line. virginia playing without sylven landesberg, their star guard, averaging 17 a game. >> dan: landesberg draws so much attention from opposing defenses, his teammates get more open opportunities than they have seen tonight. the cavaliers, they started the game shooting one for 12. they started the second half shooting one for ten. so that is just not a very effective formula against a team like duke. mike krzyzewski told us before the game, he asked him about sylven landesberg. he said he thought landesberg was one of the best players in the country and that he drew more attention because of his ability, that you always had to be aware of where he was on the court, that you had to make sure you had him covered up, and that creates extra opportunities for his virginia teammates, and those opportunities have not been forthcoming tonight. >> rich: we saw him drop 27 on the road at miami this week. and mason plumlee with a nice step-through move in the lane. the lead back to 21. virginia kicks it away. what separates this duke team in your mind from some of the other duke teams in the last few years? is it the big three? >> dan: i think it's a combination of things. number one, i think they have three very reliable scorers. you get into tight game situations and you've got three guys who you know can go get you a basket. you don't have to rely on one of them. and then i think their inside guys know their roles very well, they defend very well, they rebound the ball very effectively, they set screens, they just play very well together. >> rich: zoubek in the ball game, singler off a zoubek screen and that's a big screen to come off of. >> dan: that's just what we're talking about. mason plumlee at the top doesn't for duke, they have won more games against the rpi top 50 than any team in the country. they have obviously played a very good schedule, and purdue, that is not a shabby resume. but again, without
