Democracy in america this young man came from france, wanted to understand what made america so unique and different from all the other countries and wanted to understand the single thing that is the indistinguishable thing, individual rights, freedoms and liberties. Here we have a modern day has come from the land down under and sharing thoughts and perspectives with us. Let me give you a brief overview of nick adams. Nick adams is a bestselling author, columnist and commentator who has appeared on virtually every Major Television and radio program, sean hannity, laura ingram, glenn back, the 700 club, and hundreds more. He is columnist for townhall. Com, and policy fellow at christian university. His work is published in newspapers around the world like the washington examiner, corian times and online at fox news, daily caller, the blaze, jewish world review and elsewhere. Governor rick perry appointed him an honorary texan in 2013. His most recent book is retaking america crushing Political Correctness. I present to you a fantastic young man, nick adams. And what i think of Political Correctness and i think of america exceptionalism america really is the best place because i find texans have a merciless containment for political correction and that is something i certainly have a great deal of time for and sean has been a good friend of mine for many and i am always reminded of that refreshingly Political Correctness that does come from texas whenever i speak with sean. I had the occasion last year to be in new york and i had a photograph taken with a young lady who is a fox news regular, but she happens to hail from the opposite side of politics and there is a photo that was posted on facebook and social media and sure enough there i was on sixth avenue coming back from a hit on fox news and my cell phone starts ringing and it is no one else other than sean kelly from bogota on, texas and he says, nick, have you got a minute. I said yeah, sean, sure. And he said, nick, i think you are making a mistake. I said okay. I said sean, what if i done wrong. Tell me. I dont know what youre talking about. He said, nick, i dont want you messing with our liberal women down here. Do you hear me . So, i love that refreshing friendship and honesty and forefront that really does emanate from every fiber of the texan spirits and thats why have so much time for texas. I also want to thank my friend and favorite paratrooper of all time, colonel allen west and i know colonel west well enough to know his extraordinary humility means he does not enjoy it when people like me leverage praise on him, so i figure i have all about 30 seconds before the paratrooper jumps into action and takes me on stage, let me just say this, allen is an extraordinary companion of graciousness and knowledge and a model for Civic Engagement and it is touching that he spends so much of his time preparing to help and helping young men and women who are upandcoming and who share the values of the United States and traditional principles and for that all of us are very grateful. Well, ladies and gentlemen, we do stand here in the greatest country in the history of the world. The constitution of the United States is the best political document ever written and the United States military is the finest fighting force that mankind has ever known. I wanted to ask today anyone active duty or veterans of the United States military to please stand along with any formal or present Law Enforcement so we can thank you because america is free, the world is free because of you. [applause]. [applause]. Ladies and gentlemen, some of you may be wondering where i get this accent from and i am here to tell you, of course, it is under lot undeniably on south texas. [laughter] one that i have work on for some time, very deep south southern texas. You may be wondering why this guy with the funny accent cares about the United States. Well, its very simple, ladies and gentlemen. Was good for america is good for the world. When america does well, the world does well. When america is weak, the world becomes an exceedingly dangerous place and thats not a hypothesis, not a theory, thats not something i have drugged up or written on the back of a cocktail napkin, that is what we are living right now. Were in that reality, where the United States has been weakened by an administration that doesnt appear to me acting in americas best interest around the world. As a result, as a direct result then right now america is not in the position that she has always been. And i happen to believe that the primary reason for that is this totalitarian ideology called Political Correctness. Political correctness is behind every single major problem in america today. Whether we talk about open borders, the police having to wear their own handcuffs, declining educational standards, guncontrol ambitions, receding christianity, grown a secularism, verging government size, out of control spiraling us unsustainable federal debt, a diminished america on the world stage, every single policy concern and every matter of consternation in the everyday ordinary america is rooted in Political Correctness and the solutions to those problems cannot be undertaken because also Political Correctness, i cant think of any ideology that is more antithetical to the foundational principles of the United States than Political Correctness. Political correctness tries to remove three things, identity, individualism and confidence. And the United States of america has burst through things in spades. They are briefings that set it apart from the rest of the world, from other countries. This is the worlds most optimistic, patriotic, religious nation in the world. Initiative, risk go much further in the United States than they do anywhere else and i happen to believe that anyone that was born in america or has become unamerican or is a permanent resident of United States of america has truly won the lottery at the life because this is the country where magic happens. This is still the country where anyone can rise above search circumstances of their birth and go on to achieve whatever it is they want to achieve. And that is an elegant and beautiful and magnificent idea in principle and its the reason why some a people want to come to the United States of america. For so long that educational elites have consistently sold as a narrative that america is a hateful place and a terrible place and a racist place. My friends, nothing could be further from the truth. I dont care what your color, what your sexual orientation, who you are, where you come from, what you do, this is the greatest country in the world for you. This nation gives you the best opportunity to achieve their dreams that god put in your hands for stop or period as you guys say. Thats the reality, but sadly, tragically, that is not what our young people are being told anymore. Thats not what they hear on the radio. Or in the television stations in your living rooms, but its something that has to be said because apart from freedom, the next greatest casualty of Political Correctness is the truth. Political correctness is not interested in telling the truth. Political correctness is not interested in expressing reality. Political correctness is only interested in asserting narrative, in painting a picture of benefits the politically correct and their advocates. Thats why they are selective with the truth. Thats why they are more than prepared to stick their head in the sand when something is so glaringly obvious. Take for example the president of the United States. He refuses to name the enemy of radical islam even when the enemy is more than happy and more than prepared and more than willing and does so over and over and over again tells us what their motivations are, but the president is not prepared to say it. Its not just the presidency. Theres lots of people because of course, all religions have to be evil. All countries have to be equal. Ladies and gentlemen, im here to tell you all people are equal, but all conscious are not equal. All religions are not equal. Now, you will not hear at universities today. You will not hear that in the classrooms of Elementary Schools or middle schools or high schools and its a crying shame. What it has done is led to an america right now where some young people dont like the country. They have bought into this nonsense. About into this idea that america is a oppressive place, that america has so much to be ashamed about, so little to be proud of. That everything it has done is in some way tainted. Yet, they dont realize that they have no more clarity and they fail to understand the United States is special because its not just a country, not just a stretch of land, not just a geographical entity. Its an idea. Its an ideal. Its the experiment of humanity. Its the laborde tori of freedom. Civilization as humanity as we know it depends on the United States. If we lose america, there is no one else to pull us out. This is it. Freedom lives in parishes in america. That is why i have an investment in it. Thats why it people all around the world the matter who they are, no matter where they live, even if they have never even set foot on american soil, they have an investment in america being healthy, being strong and absolutely crushing this cultural pool tell terry and saw that his Political Correctness. I dubbed my book print retaking america crushing Political Correctness because i believe that if america is to make it to her third centennial in 2076, this year, ladies and gentlemen, will be the 240th birthday of america. It is, of course, eight celebration, but unfortunately i must grimly tell you that if you ask any historian worth their salt about the longevity of great nations throughout history, they will tell you the great nations tend to last between 200 and 250 years and im here to tell you, ladies and gentlemen, that puts america right in the kill zone as we celebrate 240 years of the United States and if america is to make it to her third centennial in 60 years time it will require all of us, every single one of us to stand up to protect and defend america and to crush Political Correctness because Political Correctness is stealing your confidence. It is stealing your joy. It is stealing your ability to lead. Every single thing that america is known for is being attacked. Im here to tell you that Political Correctness has dozens of targets. Christians, lots of groups that it specifically targets, but if the politically correct crowd had a deck of cards on the most wanted cards, the ace of spades with the america. Because america is the great holdout to the leftist agenda. It is the only country that is showing resilience against what is going on and i know that it might be hard for many of you who are in the thick of it to actually appreciate that, but im here to tell you as we weary and worn as america might be right now, it is still heads and shoulders the greatest country in the world. Where you would want to start up a company, where you would want to come and work and thats why more people want to immigrate to the United States than anywhere else and if america is such a hateful place than what is america have a problem at the southern border like it does . Then you must ask yourself the obvious question, why be politically correct when you could be right. [laughter] clec ladies and gentlemen, as i have traveled all through the states, i feel that ordinary Everyday Americans are finally fighting back. That ordinary Everyday Americans are sick and tired of being attacked from micro addressing and macro addressing and not knowing the 57 different genders and being accused of being racist if they dare criticize president obama or use a chicago sarcastically in a sentence. They are sick and tired of these moral and intellectual infusions, these pixies that went to bully us into silence, force us into conformity, that want to tell us what you think it were to say of what to gut where to go and what to do. Thats on america. America is about individualism. Americas about pride. America is about having an identity. We dont want america to be a self loathing detained suicide race. We dont want it to turn into another european country. We dont want to aspire to mediocrity. We want to aspire to be great. We went to have the Young Americans of today to be proud of who they are. To be advocates of american exceptionalism, to be more than prepared to reassert the american idea, to know what is america and what isnt america because if you believe in everything, ladies and gentlemen , you believe in nothing. That is why its so important that we step up and punch this politically correct bully in the nose that we hit first, hit hard and we dont stop because if we dont take that action, if we remain a punching bag for these folks everything that is dear to us, family faith, flag, neighborhood, all of those things will mean nothing. They will mean absolutely nothing. And we might as well all go out and buy ourselves on a lated rug, bed sheets and headwear because we need to be able to defend ourselves. We need to be able to have as much passion and hunger and desire to win as our enemies do. We need to be able to match the fervor that would seek to diminish america. We need to match them, and baldness, and strength, and strategy, in all of those things and thats what my book, we take it america, retaking america crushing Political Correctness does. It lays out a Clear Strategy to retake america and crush Political Correctness and reasserting the american idea. Involves engaging in the cultural war and one of the fabulous things about how capitalist society is that if we dont like something, we dont have to watch it. If there is a radio host we dont like or a television anchor we dont have that much time in four or a network that just doesnt really float at our bow, well, were more than happy to simply turn off the television or change the dial or simply never visit that channel on the remote. But, if we are going to win, if we are going to take on this site, the only way we can win is by understanding the enemy. Is by knowing the enemy as well as they know themselves. Its to be able to anticipate what theyre going to do, how they are going to pick it, what theyre going to say. The they love hurling epithets at as calling as racist and sexist and homophobes and bigots and Climate Change deniers and i could go on and on and on and i wear it as a badge of honor because this new gospel that these elites want to force upon us, not to be repelled, not to be rejected, america is not about Political Correctness. America is not about not having confidence in not having an identity and stripping away individualism. Every day ordinary people that hold a traditional you on marriage or a skeptical view on Climate Change, they are now no longer welcome in Flight Society you cant be a part of Polite Company if you dont subscribe to this gospel. And heaven for bid you bless a guess that gospel and that when my friend concern for america or every day ordinary americans that just happen to have a traditional idea of family and faith, they have become the new communist. What, i mean, by that . What, i mean, by that is it wasnt that long ago that if you were a communist or you had some association with communism whether it was real or perceived you could not get a job. You missed out on opportunities you were judged on applications. Boy, how has the tables turned. How has that flipped. Today is the opposite. If you are a person that holds traditional ideas and values and youre prepared to express them in public you are in a world of hurt, you are in a world of trouble. People are losing their jobs every day, not just america, but elsewhere. You may be wondering why i am specifically targeting the United States and its a good question because i can tell you that no matter how bad Political Correctness is here, you wouldnt believe how bad it is everywhere else. Its much worse in england and australia and canada and western europe. That, its my belief and it brings me no joy in saying this, but its my belief that those countries are too far gone. If my belief that those countries did not have the principles and dont have the foundational principles that would allow them to come back and every time i stepped foot on american soil, i am heartened by the patriotic bloodlines and backbone that still exists in Middle America and i dont believe that Middle America has yet begun to fight. And i think that when they do, i think Political Correctness is not going to know what hit him it. And that is so pivotal that that happens because its not possible to hyperventilate about this. Its not possible to hype this up. This really is a civilizational issue. This really is about humanity as we know it. If we cannot erase the situation, if we continue to be pushed around by these politically correct advocates that dont share the same objectives as us that want to see america pulled down several pegs, that dont appreciate what makes america great, that are helping or indoctrinating young people, then we will lose this fight, ladies and gentlemen. We are going to lose this fight. I believe that there is no greater moral imperative than defeating Political Correctness. I believe that America Needs to come back and in order to come back it has got to end the way, that the debt, but the government, protect the birder borders, preserved christian traditions, and cut taxes, but in order to be able to do those things, its got to be able to crush Political Correctness first because Political Correctness stands in the way of each of those things coming to fruition and anyone who loves america and loves civilization and loves opportunity and once their dream to come true, need to understand the threat of Political Correctness and the way we reach hearts and minds is by making people understand that they are less likely to achieve the dream that they have in their heart if Political Correctness exists. Thats what we need to get through to people. That Political Correctness is our hurdle, a barrier, a setback. It is a gatekeeper that prevents people from being able to do what they want to do including the thing that is closest to their heart and that is their dream. Because Political Correctness is about encouraging mediocrity mediocrity, not about encouraging greatness and nothing could be more anti american than that. Nothing can be more anti american to the First Amendment than this intellectual pyramid that Political Correctness provides. And i want all of you to pick up a copy of my book retaking america crushing Political Correctness. If you love america and you hate Political Correctness this is a book that i highly submit to you that you need to read. Because the stakes are too far high, my friends. We did not invite or expect this war on america, but i can tell you even as a nonamerican i am prepared to give my left like to this country and i know that all of you are as well and we need to call on that passion. We need to call on the unshakable belief and we need to be relentless in our pursuit of those that want to destroy us, that want to diminish america. We cant let it happen. We wont let happen. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen. God bless you and i look forward to taking any questions that you may have a. [applause]. ,. We will open it up for questions and answers now, but i would like to start the first question. Recently there was a poll out that said for a 3 of millennials, 30 years or below for prefer socialism over capitalism and we also know about this growing movement on College Campuses about safe spaces, which really prevents the debate that is going on. What you think is the most important thing we can do to educate our young people and get them to realize some of these false narratives they are falling asunder to connect that is a great question, colonel. You are exactly correct, the problem really is in the classroom of america. It is in the lecture room of america and the left has always under understood far better than us that order to control moral you must be in control of the children of today and for the last 30 or 40 years to Great Success they have managed to successfully infiltrate the high schools, Elementary Schools of america. I think we need to encourage every day ordinary americans to take up the jobs of teaching, of journalism. It is not for everyone, but everyone can support someone that once to do that because unless we can arrest that situation, unless we can remove the red pen edits of history that insist on painting america out to be a hateful place in a terrible place, then we are going to lose everything that we have and there is no greater evidence of that. Every civil day young people in my country, young people in your country are going out and joining isis. Now, that is stunning when he first look at it. But, when you take a deeper look at it, is it really a surprise . When, for their entire life they have been told that they have nothing to be proud of as americans, nothing to be proud of as australians. When they have not been permitted to have an identity. When it has been outlawed to have an identity and the only guy out there even if they are that is offering an identity say come and join us, they say i like this idea of having an identity. These guys are evil, but they have an identity. And thats why we are losing the fight because we have not allowed a young people to have an identity. So, all of us have to be really vigilant about this. If we hear about teachers we need to employ the tactics of the left. This is something that i write extensively about in retaking america and crushing Political Correctness. We need to use the tactics of the left and have a watch list end shame these teachers and universitys professors who have been proven to spout anti american hatred. We need to make sure that the parents are ringing up the local school of their children and saying, i dont want this teacher to teach my kids because i have gone on about i dont want that kind of person teaching my child. So, we need to step up and be bold and vigilant. We need to try to get ordinary everyday people into those jobs that are obviously not really traditionally conservative jobs. But, we need to find ways of incentivizing people getting into that particular part of employment. Otherwise, we are in all kinds of strife. Yes, virginia. I am an adopted child of the United States of america and i love america and i loved what america stands for. How do we from your perspective, how do we help young people or people like you said, to understand that the power of one that is still america, dont look for someone else to help. You start helping. You start speaking. And others will follow you. What do you think we should do the following allens question, what do you think we should do to help them . In the same time, i want to ask you, we are christians. We look at people and we say, this one does not know christ and we approach them. As a republican, sometimes we isolate ourselves and we dont say this is a liberal, he doesnt know our principles, i should go and tell him, so how do we do those two things . First of all, let me preface it by saying i was born in september, 1984, which was exactly two months before president Ronald Reagan absolutely smoked Walter Mondale , sweeping 49 states out of the 50, so i very proudly in a reagan baby although i think that puts me in the millennial pal. Dont identify as a millennial and i try to keep that part quiet. A reagan baby is not as common as a clinton baby, but i think very much superior. [laughter] you know, i happen to think virginia, that we need to get every child to be proud of the individual. Because america, unlike any other society on earth is an individualistic society, not a collective society and that collective sentiments of europe and even americas English Speaking cousins doesnt fit in the america that we know and america cannot reach her full potential unless people embrace their individualism and i can tell you as a person from another country who comes to the United States, what we love is that incredible diversity of individuals. I mean, i want individuals to be diverse. Im more interested in individuals being diverse than the culture being diverse. You are right, we do need to reach out much more to the other side. Increasingly, america has become polarized and we need the hearts and minds of people and we should not give up and i encourage every single one of you to be involved in your community, to knock on doors, talk to your neighbors, go down the street even if you are not going to convince a person, at least you understand a lot more of who they are and you will be able to more effectively combat the ideology when confronted with it again. It is really important that the people understand that. I dont believe, for example that today the allies could successfully prosecute the Second World War. I think that our our thinking has changed so much that it would be impossible for freedom to defeat nazi germany, mussolini, japan. We cannot do it. We cannot do it. We dont have the stomach anymore. We dont have the patience anymore. We live in a world of instant gratification. I know that the military can do it. I know the military wants to do it. But, if it had to approve the world war ii target list we probably would not have won the Second World War either end there is this idea that if the other side kills three of our guys, then if we kill five of theirs all of a sudden we are oppressive. Thats not how victory happens. Thats how you win. You do whatever it takes to win. There has got to be moral clarity and Political Correctness removes that moral clarity. 75 years ago, your country and my country interned japanese, germans and italians that were living in america and australia. There was no proof that any of these people were anything but patriotic. There was no proof at all. That these people were in any way colluding with the evil going on on the other side of the world. But, the thinking back then was we dont want to take a risk. We dont want to risk. We want to win this thing. Contrast that with today. We have and we know that we have people of the islamic faith that are living in countries all around the world that are prepared to shoot us up, to chop our heads off. There are plots foiled almost every day in western countries and yet if anyone today, if anyone were to raise the specter of interment camps they would be pandemonium. It would be completely crazy and i bring this up not to advocate for the internment camp of muslims, but to tell you that our thinking as change. That the way that we do things, the way that we see the world has changed and there may come a day where our thinking is going has got to change back again because we have to win. We have to kill evil before it kills us. Make no mistake about it, make no bones about it it is brutal. The politically correct put their heads in the sand, but we cant afford to do so and in retaking america retaking america crushing Political Correctness i talk about this islamic threat. This is been happening since the seventh century, all of it, this is not a new thing, a new phenomenon. Thomas jefferson was dealing with that islamic pirates in tripoli. This is ongoing. Its always going to happen and we need to do something about it and Political Correctness is stopping us from doing something about it and that is why we need to get rid of this Political Correctness. Based on it looks like we are destroying ourselves in order to move the agenda forward and it seems like we need to denied as a conservative. What are your suggestions for that . I dont live in chicago, so i cant vote. But, i clearly follow american politics. American politics much like the country and the culture and the people is certainly exceptional. We are getting a great look at that this time around. I had the great opportunity of being in both New Hampshire and South Carolina the last couple of weeks and i flew in from charlson yesterday and i had back there tomorrow and its very just in to see whats happening. I certainly believe in 2016 what we are seeing is the rise of that anti pc politician and i think that you are correct, the pendulum is swinging back. I dont know how far its going to swing back. I dont know who the greatest representation of that is going to be. Ultimately thats a decision for voting americans to make, but i do want to tell you that the president of the United States is not just the president of america. He or she is the president of the entire world and thats why everyone has a stake in this and when i go to New Hampshire and South Carolina there is not only American Media there, there is media from all around the world because everyone knows that the fellow occupant the next occupant of the white house will be important. Right now people in australia are not sleeping well because president obama is not keeping the world safe. He is not adequately fighting the scourge of radical islam. So, thats an example for you. I would love to see american unity, but i do not believe that will be possible unless a consensus is reached on what constitutes being unamerican. Bc, postworld war ii and then into the communism era there was no doubts about what it meant to be on american, but unfortunately in the last 30 or so years, as media has been democratized, as everyone has received a voice, many who dont deserve it, all of a sudden, now theres a lot of debate about what it means to be on american. Clearly there are a lot of americans that sided with that poll that consider socialism to be an acceptable form of americanism. Now, to my mind anti communism is the most profoundly american thing imaginable. That is what we really have to get back to. Their images a consensus, which is increasingly unlikely as it appears to me. It will be difficult to have unity. Unfortunately, right now it is almost like out of two, we have a conservative america and we have a liberal america and Political Correctness is all about dividing people, all the opportunity to people into groups, pockets, divisions and the culture of complaint. Those things have got to be addressed because they are just unamerican. Yes maam. One of the things i would not even call it a hurdle, i would call it a brick wall is dealing with or understanding the threat of radical islam. Is the confusion of it being a religion as oppose to it really been on in great ideology that covers aspects of religion, but covers aspects of their entire life, so how do we get to the point how do we educate people on the concept that its not just a religion because we are confusing people. We are looking like we are intolerant when actually we are just ignorant. That is another good question. A lot of good questions, colonel west. You are correct, three years ago i sat down and i read the entire koran in english and i read the sirrah, all of it and im here to tell you that what these terrorists, what this islamic evil is doing is precisely what it says to do in that little black book. They are following it outward for word. , does that mean that there are not peaceful muslims exit it does not mean that. Of course there are peaceful muslims, but they are only peaceful because they are not strictly adhering to their faith they are not acting in accordance with the scriptures that are presented in their holy book. So, yes, there are peaceful muslims. But, the faith itself is not a peaceful faith. It is an ideology, youre right. America is about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and sharia law is about death, slavery and the pursuit of power , profoundly incompatible, profoundly and we do need to get people to understand that its an ideology and not just a religion, that its a political ideology. We need to educate people. It is all part of this whole idea that i talk about in my book and i also speaking with you here today having we need to engage in the cultural war for too long we allow these guys to play unopposed in their are people out there on television and on the radio talking about islam being a political ideology as well as a faith and we need to start doing that and its going to come at a cost, my friends. What i am suggesting is not easy and i talk about this from a very personal experience. But, it is the right thing to do. We are heavily outnumbered, heavily outgunned, but if America History teaches us anything, all you need are a few good men to achieve great things and thats what im really hoping to call upon from you today, that you leave here today and take home message for you is that we need to be bold because being bold is american and we need to be strong and unwavering and we need to be unafraid of what these guys are going to do to us. Yes, sir. [inaudible] the muslim religion creates a shameful culture. In contrast to the American Culture which is based on what is morally right or morally wrong. How would you contrast the shameful culture created in the middle east to primarily muslim faith to do Political Correctness now create in a shameful culture to those who dont adhere. Its a next line comparison and youre right there is a degree of commonality with both encouraging shame. Both seek to remove confidence. Mold seek to remove freedom, so the objective of radical islam and the objectives of political credits alone and they are commence early in their danger. I would submit i think that our war is against those that brought down the buildings of the World Trade Center as much as it is with those that have continually run defense for these guys. They are just as culpable, just as guilty and we have to be as strong with them as we should be in dealing with this enemy that like i say is growing. I mean, this is not something thats going away. This is not something where they are on the run. They are not on the run. This is spreading right at us and them as we put out the unbending arm of liberty and just knock them flat on the ground, its going to be a bad day for us. Yes, sir. You just said that radical islam isnt that politically correct to use that term because based on what you just said the radicals are those that say they are peaceful and if the religion itself, like whats his name that wrote it is about islam, glenn beck, religion is the problem, but we wont admit that. You are correct. I stand corrected. I shouldnt use its how sometimes people get really scraped up in it and i appreciate you pointing that out you are right, i mean, the religion itself, the faith itself, the ira ideology itself is radical and therefore really saying it is a tautology, but it is something that we have got to get out of the habit of doing. I know lots of people do it, just as a cover and thats what i was doing right now and i do apologize for that. Yes, sir. So, christianity is love and forgiveness as compared to the basic tenets of islam, but yet jesus christ himself did not hesitate to shame those who did not exercise love and forgiveness. In fact, we are proud and arrogant so forth. I would suggest that we need to take that example and we need to start shaming our friends, and family and anyone who we associate with when they embrace this pc nonsense. Having the problem is we are not doing that. We are not exercising courage and i think what i hear you saying is we need to exercise courage. Without a doubt. We do need to encourage people to be courageous. We do need to encourage perseverance. We do need to encourage people to really doubt there and fight and you are correct, the left have all of these tools that they use whether its online petitions. You see Political Correctness was born on College Campuses, but it is being weapon iced through social media and that is why it has become such a potent force in our culture. These guys have watch lists. If you go in google any prominent conservative identity, the first google result will tell you how terrible and evil criminal and how awful that we are, but yet if you go in research leftist prominent figures you will find the Google Search results to be completely devoid of any criticism. The trolls have really knock on their and destroyed those reputations and we do need to encourage courage. We do need to employ that tactics of the left and shame them because that is the only way we will win. Now, i dont like coming up here and telling you that we need to do things like that. I dont like that. I wish it wasnt so, but it is and the matter has gone too far for us to not act. We need to now act. We are at the point where we have no choice but to act and we do need to call on the courage and we do need to call on that resilience. I mean, i want Young Americans everywhere to know that when they were born in america they won the lottery of life. I want them to call on the spirit of the president of america 16th president of america, Abraham Lincoln. The common man who rose to become on uncommonly are. An ordinary man with extraordinary desire, a man who lived full. A man that went through so much loss, but ended up emerging as a leader that america needed at an enormously critical time. You know, that is the kind of stuff that i want American Children to be taught. As the kind of courage that i want it instilled in them, but it doesnt matter how much you are disappointed. It doesnt matter how much you fail. Failure and disappointment is part of america. The great thing about america is you get an opportunity to fail. Other countries dont give you that opportunity to fail and its the place that gives you the opportunity to fail against you the greatest chance to succeed. That is something that we need to really bring to people and the personal story of Abraham Lincoln has propelled me for it throughout my life. This is a man whose first love died, who failed at business, who lost 60 legend, who lost three of his four siblings, who had a terrible relationship with his father, when no education whatsoever, no elementary school, middle school, high school not college education. Every thing he learned was selftaught. Born in kentucky, raised in indiana, grew up in illinois. This is a man, he was a wrestler, a strongman who apparently never ever back to downed when challenged to about and thats the kind of americans but i want to see today. That is the kind of spirit that we need to call on and the 16th president made it abundantly clear to yellow americans everywhere and i say to all of those Young Americans that are watching this today on cspan that they can go forward and achieve whatever it is that they want to achieve because the 16th president of america made that very very clear. You can be born, and become uncommon. If you have an extraordinary hunger and desire and you are prepared to do whatever it takes to keep getting up off that matt and getting back up on the horse. Last question. Yes, sir. I think its interesting that you would say lincoln and i am wondering given everything that you said, what you really think will bring us to the point of action because i suspect what i am suggesting is that it requires lincoln like leadership and i say that because the roots of liberalism historically if you look at prior to world war ii and as example chamberlain coming back and up declaring piecework ever, only church you sit up parliament and said we had to date taken the first draft of a better cup. We send people over admiring germany. We sent people, our elite thinkers and intellectuals admiring stall in the later mussolini. We brought mussolini to appear in pictures for hollywood for crying out loud. Only when a catastrophe occurred do we appear to wake up and im wondering what you really think will be required for us to respond in a meaningful way that begins to change the direction of this country in the world. Well, Winston Churchill also said affectionately jiving to the america that he loved that america always knows the right thing after exhausting every other option. [laughter] schematic and the greatness of america lay in her ability to repair thoughts. To recognize a trajectory that was a good and to re corrected curse and i remain wildly optimistic that america can reach their third centennial. I remain wildly optimistic that this Great Republic will be restored to its full potential. I remain wildly optimistic that america will crush Political Correctness. Im optimistic for a lot of reasons. Im optimistic because im a student of history and there is a very remarkable boomerang spirit in the american psyche. I am optimistic because when i have a look at even right now in the depths of american despair, the innovation that still exists in Silicon Valley and elsewhere. The backbone and patriotism in the traditions of medical Middle America. Im optimistic because i have to be. Despair is not only ugly, its unamerican
