Yesterday, from mississippi, there was a white woman from mississippi named gina who claimed that president obama made Race Relations horrible. I wanted to ask her and any other white person who is going to be calling on the republican line, because i know they are going to be slamming me can they think of a time in americas entire history before president obama when blacks and whites got along, were together, and were side by side. The other question that i thought he let go by was the fact that we have evidence now that president obama used a pseudonym to contact Hillary Clinton on that private server. Think about it. I will sayi will release my tax, against my lawyers wishes, when she releases her 33,000 emails that have been deleted. As soon as she releases them, i will release my tax returns. And thats against my lawyers they say dont do it. I will tell you this. Watching the shows, reading the papers, on most every lawyer says you dont release your returns to the audit is complete. When the audit is complete, i will do it. I would go against them if she releases her email. Lester holt so is negotiable . Mr. Trump its not negotiable, no. Let her release the emails. Secretary clinton . Ms. Clinton well, i think youve seen another example of baitandswitch here. For 40 years, everyone running for president has released their tax returns. You can go and see nearly, i think, 39, 40 years of our tax returns, but everyone has done it. We know the irs has made clear there is no prohibition on releasing it when youre under audit. So youve got to ask yourself, why wont he release his tax returns . And i think there may be a couple of reasons. First, maybe hes not as rich as he says he is. Second, maybe hes not as charitable as he claims to be. Third, we dont know all of his business dealings, but we have been told through investigative reporting that he owes about 650 million to wall street and foreign banks. Or maybe he doesnt want the American People, all of you watching tonight, to know that hes paid nothing in federal taxes, because the only years that anybodys ever seen were a couple of years when he had to turn them over to state authorities when he was trying to get a casino license, and they showed he didnt pay any federal income tax. Mr. Trump that makes me smart. Ms. Clinton so if hes paid zero, that means zero for troops, zero for vets, zero for schools or health. And i think probably hes not all that enthusiastic about having the rest of our country see what the real reasons are, because it must be something really important, even terrible, that hes trying to hide. The words said and words left unsaid is the headline of review by the wall street journal. Some of the words that were left unsaid is banks bailout, inc. Breakouts bank breakups, the state tax, fracking, gmo, hedge funds. That review of the transcript often showing where both candidates talked about topic and one talked about a topic and one did not. Caller i thought she stood up to trump very well. She stuck to substance rather to be justeemed ranting by trump. I thought she did a good job. Trump, he dido hold his own. I think he didnt take what seemed to me her beating him at times. I do think trump did hold up little bit. But he fell short completely on substance. Host what do you think on the debate for trade . Caller she is a little bit vulnerable, but you have to remind yourself that she wasnt the president or senator when i waspassed when that passed. When she was commenting on the tpp, it was still being you have to take her at her word where she says the final agreements fall short of where she wanted to be. So its not perfect. She would like to see improved. Not all agreements are perfect, which is why president obama supports it, and is trying to have it passed. With a lot of republican support, because traditionally they are the party of free trade. Hillary wants to be improved upon, that is something she should do in the administration that she sets up. Caller i just want to say that im 69 years old, and up until the first time obama ran for president , i voted for him. After that, i changed to republican. Living in the 60s, obama and hillary have set this country back 50 years or more. Id coming from west virginia, do what we will do if trump isnt president. My daughter is a coal miner and my brother, my dad, i was. We dont know what our way of life will be without it. Its a scary situation. If trump doesnt get to be president , we just dont know what we will do. Host linda, what is the direction you see the coal industry going right now . Beinginton came across as although she was a bit more natural than her stump speeches, she still is reprogrammed, arrogant. She kind of cold at joe biden, laughing and mocking trump during the split screen. I really dont think that either convinced any undecided voters to support them. I certainly dont plan to watch the next two debates. I didnt learn anything. At this point, Lester Holden ask about supreme cold lester holt did not ask the Supreme Court. Jill stein was planning to hold a rally at Hofstra University before the debate, and she was scheduled to host a twitter q a better plans changed when she was escorted off campus around 2 30 p. M. Yesterday when she was supposed to have an interview with msnbc. She was on her way to that interview when the Nassau County police and hofstra security stopped her, according to her twitter feed. She followed along with what happened with the interaction with the police on her twitter feed. She did a quick in project press conference for msm bc impromptu press conference for msnbc, before being assorted off by police. Her supporters were there, the occupy the debate movements, the hashtag on twitter. Heres a moment from some of those protests. [video clip] [chanting] jill not hill. To see the donald trump couldnt number one speak to issues, number two, trying to avoid facts about his tax return because the first president like him who had to show him and had it under on it was Richard Nixon. It came out that when Richard Nixon showed his taxes, ended up owing money back to the some odd. , about 700 its a patriotic thing to pay taxes, knowing what taxes go towards. Its almost for me like disrespectful for people who support him to not say he should show it. Because its a matter of respect and honor to American People. Hes trying to escape that issue, and for me, that should be a disqualifying facts all the way up till the election. He should lose just because of that. Not showing people information that will help them know that he is ok. For me right now, he is not ok. Ins got core issues going on relation to this whole college he had. Perhaps he was thinking of this story that federal workers and retirees owe the irs 3. 5 billion in back taxes, about 3. 1 of all federal employees, including civilian and military employees are late on their taxes. It means they pay them, but some of these people didnt pay the full amount owed when they filed a return, or an irs audit found that they owed more than they paid. But some people got together, we were able to do it, we were able to get her on the podium and she could participate in the debate. Remotend it was from a location and she would just answer questions as they came up. But thats all we had to overcome. And we did that. Host so you watched her then. Where you just thinking about the solutions right now . Ms. Clinton well, actually mr. Trump i will bring excuse me. I will bring back jobs. You cant bring back jobs. Ms. Clinton well, actually, i have thought about this quite a bit. Mr. Trump yeah, for 30 years. Ms. Clinton and i have well, not quite that long. I think my husband did a pretty good job in the 1990s. I think a lot about what worked and how we can make it work again mr. Trump well, he approved nafta ms. Clinton million new jobs, a balanced budget mr. Trump he approved nafta, which is the single worst trade deal ever approved in this country. Ms. Clinton incomes went up for everybody. Manufacturing jobs went up also in the 1990s, if were actually going to look at the facts. When i was in the senate, i had a number of trade deals that came before me, and i held them all to the same test. Will they create jobs in america . Will they raise incomes in america . And are they good for our National Security . Some of them i voted for. The biggest one, a multinational one known as cafta, i voted against. When i was secretary of state, we actually increased american exports globally 30 . We increased them to china 50 . So i know how to really work to get new jobs and to get exports that helped to create more new jobs. Holt very quickly mr. Trump but you havent done it in 30 years or 26 years or any number you want to ms. Clinton well, ive been a senator, donald mr. Trump you havent done it. You havent done it. Ms. Clinton and i have been a secretary of state mr. Trump excuse me. Ms. Clinton and i have done a lot mr. Trump your husband signed nafta, which was one of the worst things that ever happened to the manufacturing industry. Ms. Clinton well, thats your opinion. That is your opinion. Mr. Trump you go to new england, you go to ohio, pennsylvania, you go anywhere you want, secretary clinton, and you will see devastation where manufacture is down 30, 40, sometimes 50 . Nafta is the worst trade deal maybe ever signed anywhere, but certainly ever signed in this country. And now you want to approve Transpacific Partnership. You were totally in favor of it. Then you heard what i was saying, how bad it is, and you said, i cant win that debate. But you know that if you did win, you would approve that, and that will be almost as bad as nafta. Nothing will ever top nafta. Ms. Clinton well, that is just not accurate. I was against it once it was finally negotiated and the terms were laid out. I wrote about that in mr. Trump you called it the Gold Standard. You called it the Gold Standard of trade deals. You said its the finest deal youve ever seen. Ms. Clinton no. Mr. Trump and then you heard what i said about it, and all of a sudden you were against it. Ms. Clinton well, donald, i know you live in your own reality, but that is not the facts. The facts are i did say i hoped it would be a good deal, but when it was negotiated mr. Trump not. Ms. Clinton which i was not responsible for, i concluded it wasnt. I wrote about that in my book mr.
