We are going to show you her remarks now, followed by donald trump acceptance speech. It is an hour and 40 minutes. Ladies and gentlemen, please give a very warm welcome to ivanka trump. [applause] ivanka good evening. Ivanka ve you, ago, i one year introduced my father when he declared his candidacy. Through his own way and his ill, heorce of w sacrificed Great Lengths to enter the arena as a political outsider and he prevailed against the field of 16 very talented competitors. [applause] year, donald a trump has been the peoples champion. And tonight, he is the peoples nominee. [applause] like many of my fellow millennials, i do not consider myself categorically republican or democrat. More than party affiliation, i vote based on what i believe is right for my family and for my country. Sometimes it is a tough choice. That is not the case this time. As the proud daughter of your nominee, im here to tell you that this is the moment and donald trump is the person to make America Great again. [applause] real change, the kind that we have not seen in decades, is only going to come from outside of the system. And its only going to come from a man who has spent his entire life doing what others said cannot be done. My father is a fighter. When the primaries got tough and they were tough he did what any great leader does. Harder, eeper, worked got better, and became stronger. [applause] i have seen him fight for his family. I have seen him fight for his employees. I have seen him fight for his company. And now, i am seeing him fight for our country. [applause] it has been the story of his life, and more recently, the spirit of his campaign. It is also a prelude to reaching whenoal that unites us all this party, and better still this country, knows what it is like to win again. [applause] famouss possible to be and yet not really wellknown, that describes the father who raised me. In the same office at trump tower where we now work together, i remember playing on the floor by my fathers desk, constructing miniature buildings with legos and director sets while he did the same with concrete, steel, and glass. My father taught my siblings and me the importance of positive values and a strong, ethical compass. He showed us how to be resilient, how to deal with challenges, and how to strive for excellence in all that we do. He taught us that there was nothing that we cannot accomplish if we marry vision and passion with an enduring work ethic. [applause] one of my fathers greatest talents is his ability to see potential in people before they see it in themselves. It was like that for us growing up. He told us that potential vanishes into nothing without effort, and that like him, we had responsibility to work not just for ourselves but for the betterment of the world around us. [applause] years, on too many occasions to count, i saw my father terror stories out of the newspaper about people whom he had never met who are facing some injustice or hardship. He would write a note to his assistant in his signature black and request the person be found an invite to trump tower to meet with them. He would draw upon his Extensive Network to find them a job or get them a break. They would leave his office, as people so often do after having been with donald trump, feeling that life could be great again. [applause] throughout my entire life, i have witnessed his empathy and generosity towards others, especially those who are suffering. It is just his way of being in your corner when youre down. My father not only has the strength and ability necessary to be our next president but also the kindness and compassion that will enable him to be the leader that this country needs. [applause] my father has a sense of fairness that touches every conviction he i has held. I worked alongside him for a decade now at the Trump Organization and i have seen how he operates as a leader come in making important decisions that shape careers and that change lives. Ive learned a lot about the world from walking construction jobs by his side. When run properly, construction s. Tes are true meritocracie confidence in the building trade is easy to spot and incompetence is impossible to hide. [applause] these sites are also incredible melting pots, gathering people from all walks of life and uniting them to work towards a single mission. There have always been men of all backgrounds and ethnicities on my fathers job sites. And long before it was commonplace, you also saw women. [applause] my father values talent. He recognizes real knowledge and skill when he finds it. He is colorblind and genderneutral. He hires the best person for the job prieriod. , no matterromises how visionary they sound, will only get you so far. In our business, youre not a builder unless you got a building to show for it. Or in my fathers case, city skyline. [applause] most people strive their entire lives to achieve Great Success in a single industry. ,y father has succeeded in many on the highest level and on a global scale. One of the reasons that he has arrived as an entrepreneur is because he listens to everyone. Billionaire executives do not usually ask the people doing the work for their opinions of the work. My father is an exception. On every one of his projects, you will see him talking to the super, the painter, the engineers, the electricians. He last them for feedback. Will ask them for feedback if they think something should be done differently or better. When donald trump is in charge come all that counts his ability, effort, and excellence. [applause] this has long been the philosophy of the Trump Organization. At my fathers company, there are more female than male executives. Women are paid equally for that work that we do. And when a woman becomes a mother, she is supported, not shut out. [applause] women represent 46 of the total u. S. Labor force and 40 of american households have female primary breadwinners. . 83 forwomen made every dollar earned by men. Single women without children earned . 94 for each dollar earned by a man whereas married mothers made only . 77. As researchers have noted, gender is no longer the factor creating the greatest wage discrepancy in this country. Motherhood is. President , my father will change the labor laws that were put in place at a time when women were not a significant portion of the workforce. And he will focus on making quality child care affordable and accessible for all. [applause] as a mother myself of three young children, i know how hard it is to work while raising a family. I also know that i am far more fortunate than most. American families need relief. Policies that allow women with children to thrive should not be novelties. They should be the norm. Politicians talk about wage equality, but my father has made it a practice at his companys throughout his entire career. [applause] he will fight for equal pay, for equal work, and i will fight for this right alongside him. [applause] trump ivanka americans today need an economy that permits people to rise again. A Trump Presidency will turn the economy around and restore the Great American tradition of giving each new generation hope for brighter opportunities than those of the generation that came before. In donald trump, you have a candidate who knows the difference between wanting something done and making it happen. When my father says that he will build a tower, keep an eye on the skyline. Floor by floor, a soaring structure will appear, usually recordsetting in height and iconic design. Real people are hired to do real work. Vision becomes reality. When my father says that he will make America Great again, he will deliver. [applause] we have a chance this year to reclaim our heritage as a country that dreams big and makes the impossible happened. Fortunately, donald trump is incapable of making small. When i was a child, my father , ifys told me, ivanka youre going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big. As president , my father will take on the where th where the fight. Worthy fight. He will be lofty in his goals and determination to achieve them. When you have my father and your corner, you will never again have to worry about being let down. He will fight for you all the time, all the way, every time. [applause] maybe it is the developer and him, but donald trump cannot stand to see empty main streets and boardedup factories. He cannot bear the injustice of College Graduates crippled by student debt and mothers who cannot afford the cost of childcare required to return to work to better the lives of their families. Other politicians see these hardships, see the unfairness of it all, and they say, i feel for you. Say, i willer will fight for you. [applause] the hardworking men and women of this country identify with my father. He is tough and persevering. He is honest and he is real. He is an optimist and a relentless believer in america and all for potential. Of her potential. He loves his family and he loves his country with his heart and his soul. Politicians asked to be judged by their promises not their results. I ask you to judge my father by his results. Judge his values by those he has instilled in his children. The towersesults by he is built in the tens of thousands of jobs he has created. He is the single most qualified person to serve as chief executive of an 18 trillion economy. [applause] 18 trillion economy. My father will call upon the best and brightest people from and bothes of industry sides of the aisle. A new set of thinkers to face our countrys existing and future problems with fresh perspective and brave, new solutions. Come january 17, all things will be possible again. We can hope and dream and think big again. No one has more faith in the American People been my father. He will be your greatest, truest, most loyal champion. [cheering] this is the fighter, the viewer you have chosen as your nominee in ways no one expected. This moment in the life of our country has defined the mission and given it to extort a man. He is ready to see it all extraordinary man. Ready to see it all the way through. Speak every man and every woman of every background in every part of this country. To earn your trust and your boat. That and much more from the a long time ago, i have loved and respected him my entire life and i could not be more proud tonight to present to you and to all of america my father and our next president , donald j trump. [cheering] thank you. [cheering] thank you much. Friends, delegates and fellow americans i humbly and gratefully accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States. [cheering] usa usa usa usa thato would have believed what we started this journey on june 16, last year, we and i say we because we are a team. [cheering] would have received almost 14 million votes, the most in the history of the Republican Party. And that the Republican Party would get 60 more votes than it received eight years ago. Who would have believed it . [cheering] hand, mocrats on the other received 20 fewer votes than they got four years ago, not so good. [cheering] together, we will lead our party back to the white house, and we will lead our country back to safety, prosperity, and peace. [cheering] we will be a country of generosity and warmth. But we will also be a country of law and order. [cheering] our convention occurs at a moment of crisis for our nation. The attacks on our police, and the terrorism in our cities, threaten our very way of life. Any politician who does not grasp this danger is not fit to lead our country. [cheering] americans watching this address tonight have seen the recent images of violence in our streets and the chaos in our communities. Many have witnessed this violence personally, some have even been its victims. I have a message for all of you the crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon, and i mean very soon come to an end. [cheering] beginning on january 20th 2017, safety will be restored. [cheering] the most basic duty of government is to defend the lives of its citizens. Any government that fails to do so is a government unworthy to lead. It is finally time for a straightforward assessment of the state of our nation. [cheering] i will present the facts plainly and honestly. We cannot afford to be so politically correct anymore. [cheering] so if you want to hear the corporate spin, the carefullycrafted lies, and the media myths, the democrats are holding their Convention Next week. Go there. But here, at our convention, there will be no lies. We will honor the American People with the truth, and nothing else. [cheering] usa. Usa. Usa. These are the facts decades of progress made in bringing down crime are now being reversed by this administrations rollback of criminal enforcement. Homicides last year increased by 17 in americas fifty largest cities. Thats the largest increase in 25 years. Boo in our nations capital, killings have risen by 50 . They are up nearly 60 in nearby baltimore. In the president s hometown of chicago, more than 2,000 have been the victims of shootings this year alone. 4000 have been killed in the chicago area since he took office. Boo the number of Police Officers killed in the line of duty has risen by almost 50 compared to this point last year. Nearly 180,000 Illegal Immigrants with criminal records, ordered deported from our country, are tonight roaming free to threaten peaceful citizens. The number of new illegal immigrant families who have crossed the border so far this year already exceeds the entire total of 2015. They are being released by the tens of thousands into our communities with no regard for the impact on Public Safety or resources. Build the wall one such bordercrosser was released and made his way to nebraska. There, he ended the life of an innocent young girl named sarah route. Root. She was 21 years old and was killed the day after graduating from college with a 4. 0 grade point average. The one in her class. Her killer was then released a second time, and he is now a fugitive from the law. Ive met sarahs beautiful family. But to this administration, their amazing daughter was just one more American Life that wasnt worth protecting. No more. One more child to sacrifice on the altar of open borders. What about our economy . Again, i will tell you the plain facts that have been edited out of your nightly news and your morning newspaper nearly four in 10 africanamerican children are living in poverty, while 58 of africanamerican youth are now not employed. 2 million more latinos are in poverty today than when the president took his oath of office eight years ago. Another 14 Million People have left the workforce entirely. Household incomes are down more than 4,000 since the year 2000. That is 16 years ago. Our trade deficit in goods reached, think of this, our it hundredit is billion dollars. Think of that. 800 billion last year alone. We will fix that. [cheering] the budget is no better. President obama has doubled our doubled our National Debt to more than 19 trillion, and growing. Yet, what do we have to show for it . Our roads and bridges are falling apart, our airports are in third world condition, and 43 million americans are on food stamps. Now let us consider the state of affairs abroad. Not only have our citizens endured domestic disaster, but they have lived through one international humiliation after another. One after another. We all remember the images of our sailors being forced to their knees by their iranian captors at gunpoint. Boo this was just prior to the signing of the iran deal, which gave back to iran 150 billion and gave us absolutely nothing. Boo it will go down in history as one of the worst deals ever negotiated. Another humiliation came when president obama drew a red line in syria and the whole world knew it meant absolutely nothing. Libya, our consulate, the symbol of american prestige around the globe was brought down in flames. America is far less safe and the world is far less stable than when obama made the decision to put Hillary Clinton in charge of americas foreign policy. Boo lock her up lock her up lock her up led to defeat her in november. [cheering] i am certain it is a decision he truly regrets. Her bad instincts and her bad judgment, something pointed out by Bernie Sanders are what caused the disasters unfolding today. Lets review the record. In 2009, prehillary, isis was not even on the map. Libya was stable. Each of was peaceful. A big production and violence. Iran was being choked by sanctions. Serial was somewhat under control. After four years of Hillary Clinton, what do we have . Isis has spread across the region and the entire world. Libya is in ruins, and our ambassador and his staff were left helpless to die at the hands of savage killers. Egypt was turned over to the radical muslim brotherhood, forcing the military to retake control. Iraq is in chaos. Iran is on the path to nuclear weapons. Syria is engulfed in a civil war and a refugee crisis that now threatens the west. After 15 years of wars in the middle east, after trillions of dollars spent and thousands of lives lost, the situation is worse than it has ever been before. This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton death, destruction and terrorism and weakness. Boo but Hillary Clintons legacy does not have to be americas legacy. The problems we face now, poverty and violence at home, were going to take you to mike pence. Who will make America Great again. I give you the next president of the United States of america, donald trump. [applause] donald trump thank you very much. We had one of the best convention ever. In terms of enthusiasm and in terms of i think what it represents, getting our word out, ivanka was incredible last night. She did an incredible job. So many of the speakers were so amazing and ground setting. It was just something very, very special. Were even getting good marks on television. Can you believe this . [cheers and applause] hard to believe. Oh, theyll change, dont worry. But it has been just an incredible four days. I want to thank the people of cleveland and the people of ohio. [cheers and applause] donald trump because of what theyve done. We read this is going to be horrible. Were going to have riots. Were going to have problems. Everything was a problem, a problem. This was probably one of the most peaceful, one of the most beautiful, one of the most love filled conventions in the history of conventions. [applause] and when they talk about unity, that was unity. That was unity, right . I saw you last night. That was unity. That was amazing. And the party has just come together. The party has come together. And the few people that arent there, its ok. You got to understand. I ran as an outsider. I didnt won anybody. And now i have guys like mike pence. This isnt supposed to happen. [applause] if i dont win, were going to have to blame mike. But we want to thank a number of people because in particular, and were going to leave out some because that always happens and that is very sad. The set im a real estate guy, i build buildings and i build things. I want to tell you that, was the most beautiful set i think ive ever seen, not only for conventions, but for anything. And the folks that worked on that, especially the carpeters and the electricians, we forget about this stuff. Those sheetrockers were up there. They did a heck of a job. I said you got to wrap that sheet flock he said i just cut it. And i id i know what you do but we dont see it very much. We have our chairman from new york, my man, my leader, right . Were going to win new york. Were comboing try and win new york. [applause] if we win new york t over. Thank you, chairman. A few other people. Harold hamm is here. You talk about money, aye yai yai. Barry switzer, the great football coach, hes harolds best friend or one of them. So he came up to my office and he is sitting there and he said mr. Trump, harold is one of the great energy tycoons but from our standpoint, one of the people that really understand Energy Better than anybody else. We hire these consultants. I dont know that theyre doing. Harold is one of the really knowledgeable people and energy and Barry Switzer and hes a tough cookie and a good guy but a tough cookie. And he said mr. Trump, that harold hamm, hes my friend but these other companies, they spend millions of dollars looking for oil. That guy takes a straw, puts it in the ground and oil pours out of it. Thats the kind of a guy we want elling us about energy, right . And you made a great speech the other night. We want the real players. We dont want the consultants. We dont want the guys that he hires. We want him. So harold, great that youre here. I didnt know you would be here. I appreciate it and your speech was terrific, by the way. We values and i think very important, Jeff Sessions, who may or may not be here still, but i want to tell you [applause] donald trump he was the first one. Mike, he was right at the beginning. And hes so highly respected. And honestly, ted cruz has so much respect for Jeff Sessions and everybody knew that Jeff Sessions was going to be with ted cruz during the campaign. And jeff said ive never seen anything like whats happening. Youve got a matchup. Going on and he was really the first big, big player, u. S. Senator, highly respected by everybody, one of the really smart people. And low key. I like that. Every once in a while, you know that low key genius . Well donald, i dont know if i would do it that way. Why dont you try and do it this way . And i said thats genius. Every once in a while, we have people like that, right . When he came own, everybody thought he was going to be with ted. Hes not an endorser. Hes called tough endorsement and he went out and he endorsed my and thats a fantastic thing and hes been a great help ever since. Jeff sessions, i appreciate it. Jeff larsons around here someplace. Where is jeff lar sons . Hes around here someplace. What a job jeff did. First of all, i put in over 60 million. Last month, i think i put in 3. 8 million. But were raising money for the Republican Party which is very important. [applause] yesterday alone was from small donors. The average donation was just over 550. And 50. Were raising tremendous amount of money from the small donors. Harold can write his checks, but harolds only one vote, right . These other people give you 50 but they vote by the millions. Thats what we want. The hell with harold, right . [applause] donald trump but we have, you know, just tremendous numbers of people coming in and were relying building up a war chest thats going to be great and i continue to fund my campaign, large portions of it. In fact, i thought i gave 2 million last night and they said no, you actually gave 3. 8 million. I said oh. Its always good when you dont know what you gave and it doesnt matter. I dont even get angry at anybody, right . But im over 60 million because i said, i was going to fund the primaries. And i didnt know this was going to happen. So i guess we just keep going along, right . But ill tell you, its an honor. Its an honor. And ive said this. A lot of the Television People have come up to me and a lot of the highly respected writers called up and ive told the story a few times. I said he said what youve done is incredible. And this was actually in september. They called it the summer of trump. And he said what youve done is incredible. I said nothings incredible unless i win. And i wasnt talking about the primaries. He said no, no, no. What youve done is incredible. Its been the summer of trump. Its down on the history books. Theres never been anything like it. Bill oreilly said the greatest single political phenomenon hes ever seen in his entire life. A couple of weeks ago. Did you see that . [applause] and brit humans said it and im not brit humes said it. And im not sure if he likes me but he said it. They said that. And i said you dont understand. Dont care. Otherwise, what have we done . Then i got a call from somebody else a month ago saying the same thing but now it was the summer of trump. It was the autumn of trump. It was the christmas of trump. [laughter] donald trump it was everything. And its really of you because its a movement what we have going is a movement. I was just on the cover of time this week. Time magazine was like ok. I think i was on the cover of Time Magazine twice in my life and like six times in the last number of months. So you tell me. Which is more important . Real estate or politics, ok . Thats the way is that true, harold . I have six for politics and i have two for real estate. But its been amazing. But i said, look, it really, to me, matters. They said no, no, no. Believe me. What youve done is in the history books, theres never been anything like i. Then i won the primaries, they said the same thing. I said no, it doesnt matter unless we beat Hillary Clinton. And i mean [applause] donald trump i will consider it and i shouldnt say this because you know what, if it doesnt work out, i could say well, i did a good job. So im hurting myself by saying this. If i dont win, meaning that final stage, beat 17 people because actually, 17 including but it was 17 pause theres one that we dont even talk about, who joined, who left very quickly. One statement, he was gone, ok . And then dont forget, hillary had a couple of guys that dropped out and bernie was tough. Were going to get a lot of the bernie voter, by the way. Because they didnt treat bernie right. They didnt treat him right. I dont know, bernie. I dont know him. Ive never met him. But they didnt treat him right, honestly. What happened, he ran a very, very good campaign. And hillarys people just swamped him. Youre looking at Deborah Wasserman schultz. Ill take ryan over her in terms of confidence. Forget it. Not for being nice or any of those things. Who cares . I will take him in terms of confidence over her any day, any day. You see what shes done to that party. So i will tell you that i think were going to get a lot of his voters because of the trade issue. Because they understand, but because of the trade issue. Were going to get a lot of their votes. So i have to thank reins. I want to thank steve king. Wheres steve . Where . I want to thank our security guys. The secret service has been unbelievable. [applause] these guys are fantastic. Im the best thing that ever happened to the secret service. [laughter] donald trump because guy around , mark and all these guys. I go around saying how great they are. They are great. These are great, great people o . So i want to thank the secret service. I want to thank the police of cleveland. [applause] donald trump the Cleveland Police department. The mayor, i want to thank. I want to thank your police chief. He is amazing. I dont know if hes here, but boy, he has done some job working with all of the folks from law enforcement. And you heard last night, were going to be protecting law enforcement. They are doing some job. So were going to be protecting them. I want to thank eddie dick. Where is eddie . Is eddie here . I want to thank kevin schroder, keith schiller. Hes becoming more famous than me. I have to thank and again, your police chief has done a fantastic job in cleveland. Youve done a fantastic job. [applause] donald trump in terms of some of the folks, David Gilbert wheres david . Is david around someplace . E roman, chris conner, chris kelley. These people are all here. You dont have to come up and speak. Beth mooney. Wheres brian jack . Boy, brian. Brian. What a job you did, brian. Ok. Thats all. Now you can leave. Go to the next location, brian. Go to the next location. And hillary is trying to pick her Vice President as fast as possible because she wants to take away a little of the success that we had at this convention. This convention has been a tremendous success. You know people if you turn on the television, you turn on some of the dishonest media, youll see that oh, wow, now this happened and that happened. What happened . You know, somebody got booed the hell out of a place by thousands and thousands of people. There wasnt one person in the room. [applause] not one. And then they said there may not be unity
