Over the course of the year, that customer is paying 42,000 for the body parts, it is hard to imagine how the procurement business is operating at a loss, and what we are seeking to do is to figure out if there is a violation of the law, and if someone is selling these fetal tissue parts for a profit, and that is what we are digging down on. We are looking at the pricing of fetal tissue represented in those d series documents, and then we have constructed the chart that shows where there seems to the movement of the money. So you all have heard this debate from both sides. Youve heard the questions coming from both sides. I am going to start, ms. Clayton, with you, and work my way down to mr. Sukhia. Very quickly, what i would like to hear from you, what documents would you request or subpoena from these procurement organizations in order to find out . We have asked for banking records from the procurement business that has been the point of discussion today and they have refused to give us those. We thought that would help clear the way to figure out lets start there. We only got 2 45 left. Ms. Clayton i would start with accepting the invitation from the procurement business. I would have them come in, put them under oath as i understand theyve offered to do, and ask them, how did you come up with this charge . Rep. Blackburn that would be an incorrect assumption. Ms. Clayton the second thing i would do is ask them in each particular case what aspect of the actual cost does a particular clinic incur . For example, does the clinic provides space . Does the clinic as weve seen in your charts provide the blood draws, which require a technician, nurse, materials . Does the clinic have to do paperwork . How much of the actual reasonable cost is incurred by the clinic itself as opposed to the procurement business . That is where i would start. Mr. Raben similar, sterilization of equipment, processing, preservation, transportation costs. I wouldnt look at banking records. It is an hr function as well, staff time for the consent forms that are put together. Rep. Blackburn mr. Lennon. Mr. Lennon you need a if i was a prosecutor, you have to have a forensic analysis of the procurement business. Following the money, you got to have the entire picture. Rep. Blackburn mr. Norton. Mr. Norton the first thing i wouldnt do is ask stan express or others, are you guilty . There is some culpability here. I would do the same thing. I would get forensic accounting, financial records, profit and loss statements, and get people under oath before a grand jury. Rep. Blackburn ms. Foster. Ms. Foster there are two things i would seek. First, financial records. That is something that must be brought to light. Second, women of every generation are unique human beings who can speak for themselves, but the profiteers have created a market in which profits rise if they pressure women into signing donation consent forms. I would want to find out what their procedures are, what documents, what training they have on how to speak to women and how they get those consent forms find. Rep. Blackburn mr. Sukhia. Mr. Sukhia i would note that in the case that i handled, many of the minors there were reports from people who owned and ran clinics that many minors would be under the age of 14 who often would cry out for their mothers and so forth. They are in no position to give meaningful consent, such as those suggested by the exhibits presented here. Rep. Blackburn thank you. My time is expired and i yield it back. I asked unanimous consent that the members written open statements be introduced to the record. Weve provided a packet of materials to be entered into the record and ask unanimous consent that those be made part of the record. Rep. Blackburn so ordered. We also will submit the document binder for the record. So ordered. We will also submit an article from the Sacramento Business Journal from the founder and ceo of stem express. That will going to the record. With the ranking on stem express. We also would put into the record a screenshot from stem express website this morning which still has the fetal tissue sales component have we reviewed that document . Rep. Blackburn we have not because we pulled it this morning. I would like to look at it. Rep. Blackburn so ordered. Before im going to reserve the right to object. Rep. Blackburn you can reserve the right and we will come back to that one. We also have the source of exhibits that we will put into the record with the exhibits. There was a question on exhibit b5, the chart that showed the growth of the procurement business revenue. That came from is this magazine articles and the Congressional Research service. And then there was also a question on exhibit b4, that chart with the growth in the number of abortion clinics. That information for that chart came from the procurement Business Owner and a contract with the abortion organization. So ordered. Madam chair, i would throw in my reservation. I will also say the last statement you made about that last document, it was never ratified, that contract was never ratified. It was a draft. It says that on your specific rep. Blackburn the sourcing. This is what we are putting into the record. As you know, weve already litigated that and i object to it. Rep. Blackburn with that, the hearing is adjourned and i think our witnesses. Org] cspan takes you on the road to the white house is befuddled candidates on cspan, cspan radio, and cspan. Org. Senator ted cruz of texas held a Campaign Rally at Gateway High School in monroeville, pennsylvania saturday. He told voters that the election will come down to the candidate with the best plan for jobs, freedom, and security. This is just over 30 minutes. [applause] sen. Cruz god bless the commonwealth of pennsylvania. [applause] let me Say Something that is profoundly painful for someone who grew up as a fan of the houston oilers [laughter] god bless the pittsburgh steelers. [applause] thank you for the terrific job youre doing leading our team in pennsylvania. I want to think all the patriots standing up today to fight for our country. [applause] you know, you can tell a lot about a word by looking at its roots. If you look at the roots of the work politics, there are two part. Poli, meaning many, and tics, meaning blood sucking parasite. [laughter] [applause] sen. Cruz and that is a fairly accurate description of washington, d. C. But we are here this morning for something a lot more important than politics. We are here because our country is in crisis. Because we are bankrupting our kids. Because our Constitutional Rights are under assault. And because america has receded from leadership in the world. And i am here this morning with a word of hope and encouragement all across pennsylvania and all across this country, people are waking up and help is on the way. [applause] this next election is going to come down to 3 issues. Jobs, freedom, and security. Lets start with jobs. [applause] jobs, freedom, and security. Lets start with jobs. I want to take a minute to talk to all the single moms who are here, who are working 23 parttime jobs. Who have seen your hours forcibly reduced to 28 hours because obama kicked in at 30 hours a week. [boos] i want to talk to all the truck drivers, all the plumbers and mechanics, all the steelworkers hens union members, all the members with calluses on your hands who have seen wages stagnating year after year. The cost of living keeps going up. Yet somehow your paycheck doesnt seem to keep pace. I want to talk to all the young people who are coming out of school with Student Loans up to their eyeballs, scared. Can i get a job . Whats my future hold . And the mainstream media, they try to tell us this is the new normal, this is as good as it gets. Well is the people of pennsylvania know, that is in order an utter lie. [applause] its easy to talk about making America Great again. You could even print that on a baseball cap. But the real question is, do you understand the principles and values that made America Great in the first place . [applause] the heart of america is small business. If you want to unleash the economy, you lift the boot off the backs of the next of small businesses. [applause] Ronald Reagan [applause] and jfk before him both understood that when you cut taxes and lift regulations on small businesses, the result is millions of new highpaying jobs. [applause] i intent to follow the very same path as jfk and reagan. [applause] if im elected president , we will repeal every word of obamacare. [applause] we are going to pass commonsense reform that makes Health Insurance affordable and portable and keeps government from getting in between us and our doctors. [applause] we are going to pass a simple attacks. Simple flat tax. [applause] every one of us can fill out our taxes on a postcard. [applause] and when we do that, we should abolish the irs. [applause] now apparently the irs not too popular in pittsburgh. [laughter] i have to say that is a bit of a prop because both hillary and donald trump have come out for higher taxes. [boos] you know what, have we got into this mess to begin. We are going to rein in the epa. [applause] and the federal regulators who have descended like locusts on farmers and ranchers and small businesses, killing jobs all across this country. [applause] pennsylvania is an energy state. [applause] being a texan, i know a little bit about that. You look back to it years ago, when barack obama promised if he was president he would bankrupt every coalfired plant in america. [boos] its amazing that may be the only Campaign Promise obama has come close to beating. The war on coal from the Obama Administration is wrong. [applause] america is the saudi arabia of coal, we are the saudi arabia of natural gas. The federal government should not be working, trying to destroy the livelihood of millions of americans who depend on the energy sector. [applause] energy is key to bringing manufacturing back to america. Low cost energy means jobs. [applause] we are going to stop amnesty and end sanctuary cities and end welfare for those here illegally. [applause] let me tell you what that is going to produce. We will see millions and millions of new hiking jobs. We will see jobs coming back from mexico, coming back from china. We are going to see manufacturing jobs coming back to pennsylvania. Wages rising once again. Were going to see young people coming out of school with 2, 3, 4 job offers. [applause] well see morning and america again. [applae] the second thing this election is about his freedom. [applause] with the passing of justice scalia, it underscores the stakes of this election. Is not just one, but two branches of the federal government that hang in the balance. If you value religious liberty, the right to live according to our faith and worship god almighty without government giving it away. [applause] [chanting] [applause] sen. Cruz if you value the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms [applause] [chanting u. S. A. ] we are just one justice away from having those fundamental rights stripped from everyone. Aboutewitt asked us all religious liberty in the Supreme Court. Donald trump turned to me and he said ted, i have known a lot more politicians than you have. In that, he is clearly correct. Donald trump is a washington insider who has been supporting liberal democratic politicians for 40 years. [applause] i have no experience with that. And when donald trump was writing checks to jimmy carter . Ver Ronald Reagan i was still in grade school. But donald continued. Ted, when it comes to religious liberty and the learne court, you got to to compromise. Youve got to learn to cut deals with the democrats. To go along to get along. Let me be clear with the men and women of pennsylvania. I will not compromise away your religious liberty. [applause] i will not compromise away your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Let me ask you, is anyone here frustrated with politicians that keep lying . Promisesns who make theget in office and then tray us . Look, hillary is a great example. We have seen the pattern. Usually they caught good on the campaign trail. Then they get into office and betray us. Donald credit, he betrayed us before he got elected. Two days ago donald trump went on the today show. He agreed with Hillary Clinton and barack obama, that grown men should be allowed to use the little girls restroom. Now, thats just not. Listen, this is not a matter of republican, democrat, conservative or liberal. Its a matter of basic common sense. As the father of two young girls , i can tell you that it doesnt make any sense at all to allow adult grown men, strangers, to be alone in a bathroom with a little girl. And thats just Political Correctness on steroids. Now, a couple of months ago donald told us that he could be the most politically correct person on earth. Havent we had enough of this nonsense . How about common sense and telling the truth . [chanting] the third critical issue in this , for seven years we have seen an administration that alliess our friends and and shows weakness and appeasement to our enemies. Again, two weeks ago, donald trump explained to all of us that if he were president , he would be neutral between israel and the palestinians. Let me be very clear. As president i will not be neutral. America will stand on apologetically with the nation of israel. And you know, anyone who cant tell the difference between our , anyoneand our enemies who cant tell the difference between israel and islamic terrorists that want to kill us that raises real questions about their fitness and judgment to be commander and chief. [applause] sen. Cruz over the last seven years, we have seen our military weekend. We have seen readiness undermined. We have seen the morale of our troops plummet. And you know, as a nation, we have seen this before. We have seen another leftwing democratic president , jimmy carter, weaken and undermine the military, and then in january 1981, Ronald Reagan came into office. [applause] sen. Cruz and what did reagan do . Reagan cut taxes, lifted regulations. The economy took off, millions and millions of new jobs that generated trillions in government revenue, and use that revenue to build our military, bankrupting the soviet union and winning the cold war. [applause] sen. Cruz i intend to do the exact same thing with radical islamic terrorism. [applause] sen. Cruz we are going to repeal obama care, pass a flat tax, rain in the regulators, stop amnesty. That is going to create millions and millions of new jobs, bring manufacturing jobs back to america, raise wages to generate revenue, and we will use that revenue to rebuild our military so that it remains the mightiest fighting force on the face of the planet. [applause] [chanting] usa, usa, usa. Sen. Cruz to isis and al qaeda and al nusra, to every jihadist on the face of the earth who has declared war on the United States of america, who intends to murder innocent americans, a day of reckoning is coming. [applause] sen. Cruz we are coming to get you, and we are not coming to negotiate. We are not coming to compromise. We are not coming to cut a deal, to arrest you, or read your rights. We are coming to kill you. [applause] [cheers] sen. Cruz you know, one of the saddest things we have seen over the last seven years has been this president sending our fighting men and women into combat with rules of engagement so strict that their arms are tied behind their back, they cannot fight, they cannot win, they cannot defeat the enemy. That is wrong. It is immoral. And mark my words, in january 2017, it will end. [applause] [cheers] sen. Cruz to every soldier and sailor and airmen and marine, and for that matter, to every Police Officer and firefighter and first responder, the era of a president who mocks and ridicules your service is coming to an end. And you will once again have the thanks of a grateful nation and a commander in chief who has got your back. [applause] [cheers] [chanting] ted, ted, ted. Sen. Cruz so lets talk a little politics. [laughter] sen. Cruz you know, this past year has been an interesting year. It hasnt been boring. We started last year with 17 republican candidates, and amazingly talented, diverse, young, dynamic field. What a contrast with the democrats. [laughter] [applause] sen. Cruz you know, the democratic field consists of a wild eyed socialist with ideas that that are dangerous for america and the world, and Bernie Sanders. [laughter] [applause] [cheers] sen. Cruz and over the course of the last year, the primary did its job. It narrowed the field. As we stand here today, there are two, and only two, people who have a plausible path to winning the nomination, me and donald trump. [applause] sen. Cruz let me tell you what we are seeing happening all across the country. Republicans are coming together and uniting behind this campaign. [applause] sen. Cruz nationwide, 65 to 75 of republicans recognize that donald trump is not the best candidate to go head to head with Hillary Clinton. [applause] sen. Cruz that donald trump loses to Hillary Clinton, and he loses by double digits. If i am the nominee, we beat Hillary Clinton. [applause] [cheers] sen. Cruz you know, just a few weeks ago, there was a general election poll in utah that showed Hillary Clinton beating donald trump in utah. Now utah may well be the brightest red state in the entire union. If the republican candidate cant carry utah, we are headed to a walter mondalelevel bloodbath. In contrast, head to head between me and Hillary Clinton, we are beating Hillary Clinton in key swing states. [applause] sen. Cruz in the state of ohio, donald loses to Hillary Clinton. We beat Hillary Clinton. [applause] sen. Cruz in the state of iowa, donald loses to Hillary Clinton. We beat Hillary Clinton. [applause] sen. Cruz in the state of wisconsin, which hasnt gone republican in a president ial race since 1984, donald loses to Hillary Clinton by 10 points. Hillary and i are tied at 44 to 44 . [applause] sen. Cruz and here in pennsylvania, another classic battleground, donald loses to Hillary Clinton. Hillary and i are tied in the state of pennsylvania. [applause] sen. Cruz and let me tell you right now, we are coming back here and october and november, and if we stand together, we are beating Hillary Clinton in pennsylvania. [applause] [cheers] sen. Cruz now you may have heard a couple of days ago that the state of new york voted. [boos] sen. Cruz and the media reported with breathless excitement that donald had won his home state. It was very exciting. [laughter] sen. Cruz and donald and the media immediately said, new york city has spoken, the race is decided. I think donald and the media think pennsylvania is a suburb of manhattan. I have a lot more faith in the men and women of pennsylvania. [applause] [cheers] sen. Cruz the eyes of the entire country are on pennsylvania right now. Pennsylvania has a platform, has a megaphone, to speak to the country, and we face a choice. Do we want to nominate a candidate who is a phony . Who is telling us he is lying to us . Or do we want to get behind a strong, positive, optimistic, forwardlooking, conservative campaign . [applause] [cheers] sen. Cruz with Real Solutions to the economic problems of this country. You know, if you have a car that is broke down in the driveway, do you want your neighbor to come over and start yelling and screaming and cursing at the car . Or do you actually want somebody to lift the hood and fix the engine . [applause] sen. Cruz and we dont want to nominate a candidate who hands the general election to Hillary Clinton as a christmas gift. Donald trump may be the only person on the face of the plant that hillary can beat. Face of the planet that hillary can be. Tuesday will be a pivotal day. I want to ask everyone of you to come out and vote for me, 10 times. [laughter] [applause] sen. Cruz now look, we are not democrats. [laughter] sen. Cruz i am not suggesting voter fraud. But you know, if everyone here picks up the phone and calls nine other people and gets nine other people to come out and vote on tuesday, you will have voted 10 times. [applause] sen. Cruz that is how we win, from the grassroots, from the people. If we stand together and unite, you know, its amazing the unity we are seeing in the Republican Party. We started with 17 republican candidates. Of those, five have endorsed this campaign. [applause] [cheers] sen. Cruz we have earned the support of terry and Lindsey Graham and jeb bush, scott walker, carly fiorina. [applause] sen. Cruz when you add to that mix, mike lee, then back glenn beck, we have the entire spectrum of the Republican Party all coming together, united behind this campaign. [applause] sen. Cruz and if we stand united as one, we will win the republican nomination. And if we stand united as one, we will win the general election and beat Hillary Clinton and turn this country around. [applause] [cheers] [applause] [chanting]ted, ted, ted. Sen. Cruz you know, it took jimmy carter to get us Ronald Reagan, and i am convinced that the longlasting legacy of barack obama will be a new generation of leaders in the Republican Party who stand and fight for liberty, who stand and fight for the constitution, and who stand and fight for the judeochristian values that built this great nation. Thank you, and god bless you. [applause] [cheers] [applause] . Bernie sanders spoke at a Campaign Rally in delaware on saturday. Thiseduled to hold is just over one hour. [applause] [cheers] . [chanting] bernie, bernie, bernie. Sen. Sanders thank you wilmington. Thank you. [applause] [cheers] [chanting] bernie, bernie, bernie. Sen. Sanders thank you all. What a wonderful turnout, and thank you so much for being here this afternoon. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders let me thank rosaria dawson. As most of you know, she is a Great American actress, but she is more than a great actress. She has devoted a significant part of her life to making sure that we end racism, that we end all forms of discrimination in this country. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders and she stood up and fought for people who often dont have a voice, so i thank her for all that she has done and her role on this campaign. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders let me begin by quoting to use some words of a guide that many of you know of, and some of you know personally, that is the president of the United States. [cheers] sen. Sanders joe biden was just quoted the other day in the new york times. He remains neutral in the battle between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton, but not between their campaign styles. He will take mr. Sanders aspirational approach over mr. Clintons mrs. Clintons caution any day. [cheers] sen. Sanders and this is what the Vice President continues, i like the idea of saying we can do much more, because we can. And then he says, we all to downsize because it is not realistic, he said in a mocking tone. Im not part of the party that says we cant do it. [cheers] [applause] sen. Sanders what joe biden saying is exactly what this campaign is about. It is asking the hard questions of why not. Why not . Now, if we were a poor country, and there are many poor countries all over the world, and some he said, you know, we should have a great educational system for all of our kids. We should have health care for all of our people. We should have great infrastructure. If people raise those questions in a poor nation, then people would say that is a great idea, but we are poor. We cant do that. Let me be very clear, you are living today not in a poor country. You are living in the wealthiest country in the history of the world. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders so we have a right to ask and a right to demand that this country and our government work for all of us, and not just the 1 . [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders we have already won 16 states in this nominating process. [cheers] sen. Sanders and with your help on tuesday, we are going to win here in delaware. [cheers] [applause] sen. Sanders we started this campaign at 3 in the polls, 60 points behind secretary clinton. In the last week or two, there are National Polls that have us in the league. [cheers] in the lead. [cheers] sen. Cruz and, if you look at the matchup polls between donald trump and myself, we are beating him in every instance. [cheers] sen. Sanders and almost always by larger margins than secretary clinton. In other words, we have confounded the experts. We are in this campaign to win, and with your help, we will do that. [cheers] [applause] [chanting] bernie, bernie, bernie. Sen. Sanders to pick up on joe bidens point, what this campaign is asking people is to think outside of the box, outside of the status quo. Dont accept what the media tells you in terms of the options that we have. We can think much bigger. We can create the kind of nation we know the United States can become. [cheers] sen. Sanders if we think about half a loaf, we will get crumbs. If we think about small ideas, we will get small results. [cheers] sen. Sanders now this campaign is creating the energy and excitement that it is because we are doing something very unusual in contemporary american politics. We are telling the truth. [cheers] [applause] sen. Sanders the truth is not always pleasant, and it is not always something that we want to hear, but whether it is in our own personal life or political life or our nations life, we have got to confront the reality , not sweep it under the rug, if we in fact want to go for defectively. [cheers] go forward effectively. [cheers] sen. Sanders what are the truths . Issue number one, the former chairman of the u. S. Senate committee on veterans affairs, i have talked to veterans from way back when, who put their lives on the line to defend our way of life and our democracy. That me be very clear in telling you, i worry very much today about the future of american democracy. I worry about a Citizens UnitedSupreme Court decision which allows billionaires to buy elections. [boos] sen. Sanders democracy is not a complicated concept. It is one person, one vote, not people with extraordinary wealth buying elections. [cheers] [applause] sen. Sanders we will never effectively a dress the crises that we face when we have a congress that is beholden to wealthy campaign contributors, and we will never a dress that issue in less we overturn this disastrous Citizens UnitedSupreme Court decision. [cheers] [applause] sen. Sanders when a handful of billionaires like the Koch Brothers and a few of their friends are prepared to spend 900 million in this campaign cycle, that is not democracy. That is oligarchy, and we will not allow that to proceed. I want this country to have a vibrant democracy. I want us to have one of the highest voter turnout rates in the world, not one of the lowest. [cheers] sen. Sanders i want the people in this room, in the state, in this country, who want to be involved in this political process, progressive, conservative, moderate. I want you to be able to run for Office Without begging wealthy people for Campaign Contributions. [cheers] sen. Sanders and i want voting rules to be very simple. In america, if you are 18 years of age and a citizen of this country, you are registered to vote, in the discussion. End of discussion. [cheers] sen. Sanders so, goal number one, we need a vibrant democracies where the voices of all our people shape the future of this country, not an oligarchic form of a society where billionaires buy elections. [cheers] sen. Sanders point number two, and again when we talk about the need to deal with the reality of american society, we have got to talk about what is going on in the economy, and the truth is that we have a rigged economy. We have a rigged economy. [booing] sen. Sanders think about it for a second. And by the way, you will not see this on television, read about it too often in the newspapers, but heres the truth. The truth is that today in america, the top 1 10 of 1 , not 1 , 1 10 of 1 , owns almost as much wealth as the bottom 90 . [booing] sen. Sanders the top 20 wealthiest people in this country today own more wealth than the bottom 150 million americans, half our nations population. [booing] sen. Sanders that is an economy which is based on unsustainable principles. That is an economy which is not moral, when so few have so much, and so many have so little. That is not the American Economy that we need to be the great nation that we should be. [cheers] [[applause] sen. Sanders and let me tell you, let me tell you how the rigged economy works. It is not just a grotesque level of income and wealth inequality. Here is how it works. We have the wealthiest family in america, the Walton Family who owns walmart. [booing] sen. Sanders ok, they own more wealth than the bottom 40 . You know what is even worse . You got it exactly right. [applause] sen. Sanders that is exactly what i was going to say. The gentleman upfront said, they dont pay their workers wages that their workers can live on. There you have it. Think about it for a moment. Wealthiest family in america, more wealth than the bottom 40 . And yet they pay wages to their employees that are so low that many of their workers are forced to go on stamps and medicaid. Who is paying . This is a rigged economy. Who is paying taxes to provide food stamps and medicaid. You are. So on behalf of the walton , family, i want to thank you very much. You are really nice guys. They appreciate it. They are only worth tens of billions of dollars, and they do appreciate you subsidizing their business. Needless to say, that is a bad joke. [laughter] sen. Sanders because it is not funny. You know, and i have heard all over this country, republican governors talk about welfare reform people ripping off the , welfare system. You know the biggest welfare beneficiary in this country . The Walton Family. Now this will not get on television either. You have got to listen carefully. This will not get on tv. I say it is the Walton Family, get off of welfare, pay your workers a living wage. [applause] [cheers] [applause] sen. Sanders but the rigged economy is not just the grotesque level of wealth here is what else is going on. This is why we have got to think outside the box, like joe biden says, act inspirational, think big. I want you all to think about this. You all know that there has been an explosion of technology in the last 20 or 30 years. That means that worker productivity has significantly increased. How does it happen that with all of this new technology, all of this increase in worker productivity, all of the global economy, how does it happen that people by the millions in this country are working longer hours for lower wages . How does it happen that in america today, you got people working not one job, but two jobs, and three jobs to bring in enough income and bring in the health care that they need . All right, now young people will not believe me, and google after you leave here, not now. Here is the truth. 40 years ago, one breadwinner in a family could earn enough money to take care of all of the family. One worker. Today, you dont know any families where mom is not working, dad is not working, the kids are not working. We work the longest hours of any people in the industrialized world, you know that . We work. The japanese are very hardworking people. We work longer hours per year than do the japanese. And yet at the end of all that, listen to this, mom is working, dad is working, kids are working, people working crazy hours, 58 of all new income generated today goes to the top 1 . [booing] sen. Sanders in fact, the wealthy are doing phenomenally well. The last 30 years, the top 1 10 of 1 has seen a doubling of the percentage of wealth it owns, while the middle class continues to shrink. That is a rigged economy. And our job is to create an economy that works for the children, that works for the elderly, that works for the working families, not an economy that just works for the 1 . [cheers] [applause] sen. Sanders but it is not just a corrupt Campaign Finance system in which billionaires and wall street and their super pacs buy elections. It is not just a rigged economy, but also a broken criminal justice system. [applause] sen. Sanders here is the fact. Again, think outside of the box. Ask yourself this question, why should it be that in the wealthiest country in the history of the world, we have today more people in jail than any other country on earth . [booing] sen. Sanders we are locking up 2. 2 Million People and spending 80 billion a year to lock them up. [booing] sen. Sanders millions of lives being destroyed. I have been all over this country, and i had been in communities where the Unemployment Rate for young kids is 30 , 40 , 50 . Young kids who graduated high school, want to get their feet on the ground, want to become adults, make money and have some independence, but you cant do that if you cant find a job. So what i will propose if elected president is to invest in jobs and education for our kids, not jails or incarceration. [cheers] [applause] sen. Sanders we do not want to have the dubious distinction of more people in jail than any other country. We want the best educated workforce in the world. [cheers] sen. Sanders when we talk about criminal justice, we have got to make certain that our local Police Departments are demilitarized, do not look like occupying armies. [applause] sen. Sanders we have got to make sure that local Police Departments reflect the diversity of the communities they serve. [applause] sen. Sanders i was a mayor in burlington, vermont for eight years. I worked closely with my police department, worked with Police Departments all over the country. Most Police Officers, the overwhelming majority, hardworking, honest people doing a very difficult job. [applause] sen. Sanders but like any of other public official, when a Police Officer breaks the law, that officer must be held accountable. [applause] sen. Sanders as a nation, we must understand that lethal force by a Police Officer should be the last response, not the first response. [applause] sen. Sanders we have got to end private corporate ownership of jails and detention centers. [applause] sen. Sanders we have got to rethink the socalled war on drugs. [applause] sen. Sanders many people dont know this, many people dont know this, but over the last 30 years, millions of americans have received Police Records, criminal records, because of possession of marijuana. [booing] sen. Sanders and if you have a Police Record and you go in and look for a job, it may be hard to get that job. Right now, under the federal controlled substance act, marijuana is listed at the highest level as a schedule one drug. [booing] sen. Sanders i have introduced legislation to take marijuana out of the federal controlled substance act. [applause] sen. Sanders it is the responsibility of states to determine whether or not marijuana should be legal. Four states have, more will in the near future. Possession should not be a federal crime. [applause] sen. Sanders but here is another issue that we have got to deal with. All over this country including my own state of vermont, we have a serious, serious problem regarding opioid abuse, heroin addiction, and people dying every single day from overdose. Now, the best way to my mind to deal with this serious crisis is to understand that Substance Abuse and addiction should be treated not as a criminal issue, but as a health issue. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders all over this country, and i can tell you as a senator because i get these calls from my office and other senators get the same calls, families are in trouble. People are worried about whether or not a member of their family can get off of heroin, get off of the opiates. They are worried about suicide, worried about a Family Member is going out and doing something really crazy. We need a revolution in Mental Health treatment in this country. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders again, again, thinking outside of the box, just think about it. Weve got thousands and thousands of people walking the streets of america today. They are suicidal, homicidal, addicted to drugs, getting into criminal activity. We need to provide those people with the help that they need today, not six months now. [applause] sen. Sanders let me say a few words about the differences that exist between secretary clinton and myself on some of the important issues facing our country. We have chosen different paths in terms of how we raise the funds we need to run our campaigns. When i began this campaign almost a year ago, we had to make a very simple but important choice. Do we do, in our campaign, what every other campaign is doing and establish a super pac . We agreed with you. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders and here is why. Because super pacs are simply a mechanism to vacuum in huge sums of money from huuuge sums of money, right . From the fossil fuel industry, billionaires, Corporate America. We dont want their money, we dont need their money, we dont represent their interests. [applause] sen. Sanders so we choose to go another way. Unprecedented, and that is the state of the middle class, if you want a campaign that will stand with you, that will take on the powerful and greedy special interests in this country, we need your help. And what has happened over the last year, we have received over seven million individual Campaign Contributions, 7 million. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders anybody knows the average contribution is . All 27. Sen. Sanders 27. I was at the gettysburg battlefield just the other day. On the spot where lincoln, near the spot where lincoln gave his famous gettysburg address in 1863. At the end of his speech, he talks about the need to have in our country a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. [applause] sen. Sanders and that is exactly what we are trying to do in this campaign. And when you raise money from millions of people at 27 a clip, that is a campaign of the people. [cheers] [applause] sen. Sanders secretary clinton has chosen to raise her money in the oldfashioned way, or what is now part of the contemporary political process. That is, have a number of super pacs. Her last supporting period, her super pac reported 15 million in special interests, 15 million from wall street alone. On top of that, she has given speeches to wall street at 225,000 a speech. [booing] sen. Sanders now, every candidate who receives a lot of money from special interests always has the same response, and that is, oh, it wont impact me. But the question you have got to ask is, why do some of the most powerful special interests in this country make Campaign Contributions . They understand exactly what they are doing. All right . [applause] sen. Sanders now our differences are not just in how we raise money. Our differences are in Foreign Policy. In 2002, there was a debate in congress which dealt with the most difficult issue in american foreignpolicy issue, and that was the war in iraq. I listened to what george w. Bush and dick cheney and all the others had to say, and i did not believe a word they were saying. [applause] sen. Sanders i not only voted against that war, i helped lead the opposition to that war, and only, i do wish so much that our side was successful and we never went into that disastrous war. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders secretary clinton heard the same evidence. She was then in the senate. She voted for the war. But it is not just [booing] sen. Sanders it is not just the war in iraq. In my view, look, in the real world sometimes we have to go to war. But war and military force should always be the last possible response, not the first response. [applause] sen. Sanders and i got to tell you, i am not impressed by politicians, often republicans, because they are really tough guys, they want to go to war all over the world, overthrow that, go here, go there. They understand it is not their kids who will go off to war, it is your kids. [applause] sen. Sanders and one of the differences that secretary clinton and i have is my belief that yes, it is easy to overthrow some of these terrible dictators. People like saddam hussein, a vicious murdering thug, people like qaddafi in libya, people like assad in syria, people who god knows how many people they have killed. It is not just overthrowing tyrants, but understanding what happens the day after you overthrow that tyrant. [applause] sen. Sanders and what we have seen throughout history over the last many, many decades is you overthrow somebody and you have unintended consequences. Instability, more people die. So yes, our goal should be helping raise democracy all over the world, but before we go about overthrowing people, we should understand fully the consequences of what we do. Regime change often has unintended consequences. [applause] sen. Sanders here is another area where secretary clinton and i disagree on. It is not a sexy area. The media does not talk about it at all. Which can tell you, therefore, that it is a very important issue, and that is the disastrous trade policies. All right . Again, not a sexy issue, but here is what it is about. For the young people, i will tell you something, and you can google this as well. It was once upon a time when you could go shopping in the United States of america, i know you do not believe me, but this is true. You could buy products manufactured in the United States of america, not in china. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders that is true. But what happened over the last 40 or so years is that corporations have decided that they do not want to pay workers in delaware or vermont or anyplace else a living wage. Why would you want to pay someone 25 an hour when you can shut down here, throw those workers out on the street, go to mexico, go to china, go to the vietnam, pay people very low wages, and then bring your product back into this country . That is the entire basis of our trade policies. The whole goal is to shut down plants in america, paid people low wages abroad, bring your products back here, and make billions in profits. I tell Corporate America today, here is a heads up, if i am elected president , we are going to change those policies. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders if you want the American People to purchase your products, and every night on tv have ads telling us to buy this and buy that, you want us to buy your products, start manufacturing those products in america. [applause] sen. Sanders now, i have opposed every one of these disasters trade agreements. Secretary clinton has supported virtually all of them. That is a big difference of opinion. I believe, and this is not a radical idea, that in america, if you work for 40 hours a week, you should not be living in poverty. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders you can do the arithmetic as well as i do, and that is if you make 7. 25 an hour, 8 an hour, you are living in poverty, and that is why i disagree with secretary clinton. She wants to raise the minimum wage, that is good. But she wants to raise it to 12 an hour, not enough. We need 15 an hour. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders when we talk about the important issues facing not only our country but the world, i can tell you as a member of the u. S. Senate committee on the environment that Climate Change is real. [applause] sen. Sanders that Climate Change is caused by human activity. [applause] sen. Sanders and let me also tell you what many of you know. Climate change is already doing devastating harm in our country and around the world today. And what the scientists tell us, and they are virtually unanimous in telling us this, is that if we do not get our act together in the next few years, by the end of this century, the planet earth will be five to 10 degrees warmer fahrenheit. That is unbelievable. What that means is more more droughts, more floods, more extreme weather, disturbances, acidification of the ocean, more rising sea levels, and more International Conflict. There will be International Conflict because people will be fighting over water. They will be fighting over land to grow their crops. That is why we have a moral responsibility to do Everything Possible to leave this planet in a way that is healthy and habitable for our children and our grandchildren. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders and in the same way, we have got to tell Corporate America they cannot continue to ship our jobs to lowwage countries. We have got to tell the fossil fuel industry that their shortterm profits are not more important than the future of this planet. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders and what that means, what that means is the United States has got to lead the world, working with china, russia, india, other countries, in transforming our Energy System away from fossil fuels to Energy Efficiency and sustainable energy. [applause] sen. Sanders we can save unbelievable amounts of energy by weatherizing and making more efficient our homes and our buildings. We can create a rail system and a Mass Transit System that gets cars off of the roads. [applause] sen. Sanders and we can and must invest heavily in Sustainable Energies like wind, solar, geothermal, and other such technologies. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders and let me tell you something. And this kind of connects the dots. When i talk about the corrupt finances and come you say, yeah, that is bad. But you have to understand that corrupt Campaign Finance system impacts every aspect of our lives. Think about how it can be that we have a Republican Party which with very few exceptions rejects the concept of Climate Change, let alone wants to do anything about it. [booing] sen. Sanders now heres the point, if you think that the republicans are just dummies, that is not the case. The real reason is the moment that some republican stands up and says, you know, Climate Change is real. It is really dangerous. We have got to do something about it. On that day, the Koch Brothers and the big money interests in the fossil fuel industry will cut their campaign funds. That is what a corrupt Campaign Finance system is doing. And that is why we have got to change that system, and that is why we have got to stand up to the fossil fuel industry and save this planet. [applause] [cheers] sen. Sanders now, i believe, i believe along with the scientists that this is a global crisis, and we have got to be bold. I am proud to tell you that i had introduced the most comprehensive Climate Change legislation in the history of the senate. [applause] sen. Sanders and among other things, what it does do is impose a tax on carbon. That is what we need. That is not secretary clintons position. It should be her position, but it is not. We need to be bold if we are going to transform our Energy System. Lets say one other area, one other area of differences. You know, a great nation is morally judged not by how many millionaires it has and not by how many Nuclear Weapons it has. It is judged by how it treats the weakest and most vulnerable amongst us. [applause] now, we dont talk about it. Often. But we have millions of Senior Citizens and disabled veterans and people with disabilities in this country who are trying to get by on 10,000, 11,000, 12,000 a year Social Security. You can do the arithmetic as well as i can. Nobody, if you are a disabled veteran, if you are somebody with disabilities, you are not going to make it on 10,000 a year in Social Security. Now what is totally outrageous and an indication of how far right the Republican Party has gone, is a response to this crisis. Do you know what the republicans want to do . They want to give more tax breaks to billionaires and cut Social Security. [booing] sen. Sanders well, weve got some bad news for them. [applause] sen. Sanders we are not going to cut Social Security. In fact, we are going to do exactly the opposite. Instead of giving tax breaks to billionaires, we are going to ask them to pay more in taxes. [applause] instead of cutting Social Security, we are going to expand Social Security benefits. [applause] sen. Sanders and the way you do that is you lift the cap right now, somebody making millions contributes the same amount into the Social Security trust fund as somebody making 118,000. That is the maximum. At that cap, someone paying 5 million a year paid the same percentage of income for the trust fund as someone making 40,000 a year. We can extend Social Security for 58 years and significantly expand benefits. [applause] sen. Sanders throughout this campaign, i have asked secretary clinton to join me, lift the cap, expand Social Security benefits with the elderly and disabled veterans. I am still waiting for a clear answer. [booing] sen. Sanders this campaign is doing as well as it is. It is creating the energy and the excitement that is because it is listening to the American People, not just wealthy campaign contributors. [applause] sen. Sanders it is listening to young people. [applause] sen. Sanders now again, i would like you to think outside of the box for a second. Young people throughout their entire lives are told by their parents, teachers, and society to go out, study hard, get the best education that you can. That is where the good jobs are, and that is what your life is about, to get as much education as you can. And millions of young people did exactly that, but then, they suddenly found themselves 30,000, 50,000, 70,000 in debt. Frankly, that is nuts. Think about it for a second. Why we punishing millions of people for doing the right thing and getting the education they need . [applause] sen. Sanders we should be rewarding people for getting an education, not punishing them. All over this country, let me ask a question, how many people right here are dealing with student debt . All across the country, i get the same response. A young woman from burlington, vermont dreamed to become a doctor, she became a doctor. 300,000 in debt. Young dentists in iowa, 400,000 in debt. A guy in nevada took out his student loan 25 years ago. He is more in debt today than he was when he took it out. I talked to a woman in New Hampshire. She is paying her own student debt, and then her daughters as well. That is crazy stuff. And therefore, we have got to do a very few common sense things. Number one, we all understand that a College Degree in many ways is the equivalent of what a High School Degree was 50 years ago. 50 years ago, somebody had a High School Degree, they could go out and get a pretty good job and make it into the middle class. The world has changed, our economy has changed, technology has changed, people need more education. Therefore today, when we think about Public Education, not good enough just to be talking about first grade through 12th grade, we need to be making public colleges and universities tuitionfree. [applause] sen. Sanders is this a radical idea . It is not a radical idea. Just in baltimore this morning, i talked to a young lady, a visiting student here in the United States, staying with her family in baltimore. Lives in germany. How much does it cost to go to college in germany . Oh, it is free, of course. How much does it cost to go to college in scandinavia . Crowd free. Sen. Sanders last year, i was at a meeting in washington, d. C. , and i made the point that college in scandinavia is free. They said, no senator, you are wrong. They said, in finland, it is not free they pay us to go to college. [laughter] sen. Sanders all right, what does that mean . It means that if we are smart about the future of this country, we want everybody to have the ability and the desire to get as much education as they can. That is common sense. [applause] sen. Sanders we want to encourage young people to get an education, not discourage them. When you make public colleges and universities tuitionfree, you do something that is pretty revolutionary. I grew up with a family that did not have a lot of money, my parents never went to college. That is true for many families today. There are kids right here in wilmington in the fourth grade and in the sixth grade whose parents never went to college, dont have any money. The idea of thinking they can go to college is as realistic as them thinking they are going to the moon. It is not within their purview. They are not thinking about it, and therefore they are not not studying and not doing schoolwork the way they should. But if the word is out in this country that every kid, regardless of the income of his or her family, will be able to get an College Education if they take their schoolwork seriously, we can revolutionize education in this country. [applause] sen. Sanders so is not only making public colleges and universities tuitionfree, not only dealing with dysfunctional child care system. Every psychologist who studies the issue tells us the most important years of Human Development are zero through four, is that right . That is when we develop intellectually and we develop emotionally. And yet, we are working class families, where mom goes to work, dad goes to work, people are frantically searching for goodquality, affordable childcare, and it is hard to find. Think outside of the box think outside of the status quo, and ask yourselves why we do not have the best quality prek system in the world. [applause] sen. Sanders think what america looks like. Think what america looks like when mom goes to work, when dad goes to work, and they know that their kids are getting quality care from welltrained, wellpaid instructors who are proud to be childcare workers. [applause] sen. Sanders and think of what happens when we dont do that, when kids into the first grade unprepared intellectually or emotionally. This is called changing our national priorities. This is called investing in our people, rather than in Corporate America or wall street. [applause] sen. Sanders so not only do we need a strong childcare system and a firstclass Public Education system, we also have to deal with this crisis of a student debt. That is why i believe that People Holding student debt now should be able to refinance that debt at the lowest Interest Rates they can find. [applause] sen. Sanders now, there is nothing radical about what i am saying. The vast majority of the American People agree with what we are talking about right now, but our critics come back. This gets back to joe biden. Critics come back. They say, bernie, you are a nice guy, you want free education, lower student debt, create a firstclass childcare system in america, great ideas, bernie how are you going to pay for them . I will tell you how we are going to pay for them. Over the last 30 years, there has been a massive transfer of wealth in this country from the middle class to the top 1 10 of 1 . We are going to transfer that money back into the hands of the middle class. [applause] sen. Sanders we can lower student debt, we can provide free tuition at public colleges and universities by imposing up a tax on wall street speculation. [applause] sen. Sanders this country bailed out wall street after their greed and illegal behavior nearly destroyed our economy. Now it is their time to help the working families of this country. [applause] sen. Sanders this is not a radical idea. And like many other ideas, we dont go forward unless we are prepared to think big. [applause] sen. Sanders to say that everybody in the United States of america who has the qualifications and abilities should be able to get a Higher Education is not a radical idea. It is a commonsense american idea that will make this country stronger. [applause] sen. Sanders i have been in this campaign all over the country. I have been to flint, michigan and talked to parents who have seen cognitive damage done to their beautiful children as a result of their kids drinking poisoned water, lead in the water. I have been to detroit, michigan and talked to people who have seen their Public School system on the verge of collapse. I have been to baltimore, maryland, where there are communities where 40 or 50 of the people are unemployed or underemployed. People all over this country and in the Africanamerican Community are asking me a very simple question. They say, bernie, how can we how come we always seem to have money to spend trillions of dollars fighting a war like the one in iraq that we never should have gone into, but we are always told that we dont have the money to invest in rebuilding inner cities in america . [applause] sen. Sanders and you know what . You know what . Those people are right, it is always the way it is. There is always money for war. There is always money for military expenditures. There is always money for tax breaks for billionaires, but somehow there is not enough money to rebuild inner cities or to Pay Attention to the people in this country who are hurting the most. Well, you know what . We are going to change that dynamic. [applause] sen. Sanders this campaign is listening to the latino community, and they are reminding us that there are 11 million undocumented people in this country, many of whom are being exploited today because when you dont have any legal rights, your employer can do anything he wants. Cheat you, take away your wages, work you in ways that are illegal. And that is why i believe we need to pass comprehensive Immigration Reform and a path to citizenship. [applause] sen. Sanders and if congress does not do its job in passing that legislation, i will pick up where president obama left off and use the executive powers of the presidency to do all that i can. [applause] sen. Sanders this campaign is listening to some people whose voices and pain are almost never heard. And that is people in the native American Communities of this country. [applause] sen. Sanders i dont have to tell anybody here that from before when this country became a country, when the first settlers came over here, the native American People were lied to, they were cheated, and treaties negotiated were broken. I dont have to tell you, also, that we owe the native American People more than ever we could ever repay. [applause] sen. Sanders they have contributed so much to the fabric of this nation, and among many other things, but maybe most importantly, they have taught us the profound lesson that as human beings, we are part of nature. We have got to live with nature. We cannot destroy nature and survive. [applause] sen. Sanders and yet, if you go to reservations around this country, if you go to many native American Communities, you find unbelievably high levels of poverty, of unemployment, you find young people committing suicide at horrific rates. If elected president , we will change our relationship with the native American People. [applause] sen. Sanders if we think big and not small, we ask ourselves another very simple question, and that is, how does it happen that every other major country on earth united kingdom, france, germany, italy, holland, scandinavia, canada, whatever. Every one of those countries guarantees health care to all of their people as a right. [applause] sen. Sanders we are the only major country that does not guarantee health care to all of our people. So let me be as clear as i can be. I believe from the deepest part of my being that health care is a right of all people, not a privilege. [applause] sen. Sanders that whether you are young or old, rich or poor, you have the right to highquality health care as a citizen of this country. The Affordable Care act has done a number of good things, and im proud to be on the committee that helped write that bill. But we can do more. We are now spending far more per capita on health care than any other nation. Yet 29 Million People still have no Health Insurance. Many of you are underinsured with high deductibles and copayments, and every one of us continues to be ripped off by the greed of the Drug Companies. [booing] sen. Sanders do you want to hear crazy . This is crazy. Right now in america, one out of five americans who go to the doctor and get prescriptions are unable to fill that prescription because the medicine is too expensive. In delaware, in vermont, all over this country, seniors are cutting their prescription drugs, their medicine, their pills, in half because they cant afford the medicine they need. And that is why, in my view, we must pass a medicare for all, Health Care Program to guarantee health care for all of us. [applause] sen. Sanders right now, you have got republicans running all over the country talking about family values. They just love families. All of you understand that when they talk about family values, what they mean is that no woman in this room, in this state, in this country, should have the right to control her own body. I disagree. [applause] sen. Sanders and they mean, when they talk about family values, they mean that none of our gay brothers and sisters should have the right to be married. I disagree. [applause] sen. Sanders jane and i have been married almost 28 years. We have four kids, seven beautiful grandchildren. When we talk about family values, very different values than republicans. And when we talk about family values, we talk about ending the embarrassment of the United States being the only major country on earth does not provide paid medical leave. [applause] sen. Sanders when a workingclass woman in this country gives birth, she should not have to be separated from that newborn baby and rushed back to work in order to earn the income she needs. [applause] sen. Sanders and that is why, that is why together, we will pass paid medical and family leave. [applause] sen. Sanders donald trump will not become president of the United States. [applause] sen. Sanders he will not become president because, among many other factors, i am 15 or 20 points ahead of him on every National Poll that they take. [applause] sen. Sanders but more importantly, he will not become president because the American People will not support a candidate who insults mexicans and latinos, who insults muslims, who insults women, who insults veterans, who insults africanamericans. [applause] sen. Sanders i hope, i hope that everyone here has not forgotten that before trump became a candidate for president , he was leader of a socalled birther movement, and that was a very Ugly Movement designed to delegitimize the first africanamerican president of our country. This was not an instance where he disagreed with the president. That is fine, we all disagree with everybody. This was an effort to say that barack obama really should not be the president of the United States. That was an ugly and vicious attack, and we will not forgive that. [applause] sen. Sanders donald trump will not become president because we all know that as a nation, we are stronger when we come black and white and latino and asianamerican and native american. Gay and straight, male and female, that is our strength. And that strength of coming together will always trump dividing us up. [applause] sen. Sanders and the American People will not support a donald trump for president because they understand we are strong when we support each other. When my family is there in your time of need, and you are there in our time of need. That is what a nation is about. [applause] sen. Sanders that supporting each other will always trump selfishness. [applause] sen. Sanders and perhaps most importantly, what the American People understand is what every great religion has taught us, whether it is christianity, judaism, muslim, buddhism, or whatever, at the end of the day, love always trumps hatred. [applause] crowd Bernie Bernie bernie sen. Sanders what this campaign is about is not just electing a president , it is creating a political revolution. And what that revolution means, this is what it means. It means that no president , not Bernie Sanders or anybody else, can alone address the enormous crises facing the country. That the only way we deal with issues that are out there, so important to so many people, is when millions of people come together, stand up, fight back, and demand a government that represents all of us, not just wealthy campaign contributors. [applause] sen. Sanders in three days, on tuesday here in delaware, there is going to be a very, very important democratic primary. What we have learned throughout this campaign is that we do well when the voter turnout is high, we do not do well when the voter turnout is low. Let us have the highest voter turnout in delaware history on tuesday. [applause] sen. Sanders and let delaware show the world that is ready to go forward in a political revolution. Thank you all very much. [applause] [chanting bernie, bernie ] [captions Copyright National cable satellite corp. 2016] [captioning performed by the national captioning institute, which is responsible for its caption content and accuracy. Visit ncicap. Org] democratic president ial candidate ernie candidate Hillary Clinton discussed a range of issues in pennsylvania. Four other states hold primaries on tuesday, and she was introduced by pennsylvania senator bob casey. This is one hour. Hillary Hillary Hillary well, i want to ask one question. I want to ask one question, and i think you know the answer to this question, but lets try it anyway. Are you ready to go out between tonight and tuesday to make sure that Hillary Clinton wins the pennsylvania primary . Ok [applause] madam secretary, i take that as a yes. To first of all thank everyone for being here, for being here in dunmore, and if you are not from dunmore [laughter] not from you are dunmore, you want to be from dunmore, right . [applause] i was prepared 30 issueough her papers from her website, but i wont do that, but i have no that, i have no doubt Hillary Clinton has the character, the experience, the record, and the commitment to serve as president that we are ready for. [applause] let me read from what someone said just about a week ago or two weeks ago when president clinton came down. Ill read from a local paper. 8. S on april is on april and a reporter walked up to a woman by the name of judy riff, riff. Judy was there with her two a fouryearold and a 13monthold. Here is what judy said of our next president. She said and i quote, and of course we agree with judys words here, she said, and i quote, we love hillary. [applause] , holding heraid two children, she will keep us safe and healthy, she will make our country better for us and for future generations. Judy, you were right. The next president of the United States, Hillary Clinton [applause] sec. Clinton thank you so much. Thank you so much thank you senator rob casey. Be backis so great to here in northeastern pennsylvania, to be back here in dunmore. I stopped in scranton on my way here. Id i always feel so much at home. At a local restaurant but i was i was running late to my planned actually, dinner was kind of abbreviated, but i said hello to a lot of people there and i met people who said things to me like, i knewyour cousin, i say, uncles, i had a man didnt we sled down court street one winter . I could have been, i could have been one winter. I had a couple who lived next to my grandparents. Flood of memories and i met some of the best people and i cant tell you how happy and proud i am to be back here with all of you. I want to thank not only the senator, i want to thank the so much,an, think you matt cartwright, i want to thank the mayors, the mayor of dunmore, the mayor of scranton, who is here, the democratic county chair, and the chair of the city of scranton, i want to thank sandy, and everyone who has helped to make this evening just such a happy occasion. I got my two brothers here. They love coming back and of course, they go every summer to the lake cottage that my grandfather built. [applause] place hason so this a lot of not just memories, but special meaning to me, and the thing i want you to know more than anything else is that i will work my heart out for the people here in northeastern pennsylvania. [applause] sec. Clinton i will be a good partner because we have work to do. We have work to do to make sure we have enough good jobs with rising incomes for people willing to work to get ahead and stay ahead. And we are going to we are jobs to look for those new jobs, ourfrastructure roads, our airports, our rail system, they all need work. [applause] sec. Clinton and i agree with congressman cartwright, we need Passenger Rail service from northeastern pennsylvania. So when i think about infrastructure, i think about good jobs, jobs that cant be exported, jobs that keep people in this area in work, that pay a good wage so that people can get ahead, and we are going to also look to see what we can do in advanced manufacturing because i believe we can still make it in america, and we are going to find ways to do that. More clean, Renewable Energy jobs that will work right here, and we need to help small businesses. Small businesses create most of the jobs and we are not creating enough small businesses. Inve got too many obstacles the way. My idea of Economic Growth and development is not put up a barrier. Barriers stand up in the way of people being able to start more businesses and employing more people and we are going to work hard to raise the national, minimum wage because [applause] you have 150,000 pennsylvanians working for 7. 25 an hour. Youve got thousands more working on what is called a tip wage. Yeah, ok . Some of you know about it, a lot of you dont. It is kind of a secret. If you are in certain jobs like waitressing, bartending, those kinds of jobs, you can be paid as little as 2. 13 an hour. Is, you areidea going to make a lot of money from tips. I tell you what, that is just a disgrace. People are working full time, they should not still be in ,overty at the end of the year and two thirds of all minimum wage workers are women and many are single moms taking care of their kids. [applause] sec. Clinton so i am going to thet to ways raise minimum wage at the National Level and do everything i can to guarantee equal pay for womens work. [applause] sec. Clinton and you know why . This is not just a womens issue. If you have a mother, a wife, a sister or a daughter who are working, and they are not being paid, what they should be paid compared to others, then you are getting shortchanged. Your family is, the economy is. I did an event this morning in philadelphia. That she worksw as a supervisor and a factory in for 40 years. She had a supervisor job, the only woman with a supervisor job. Years did not know for than themade 40 less men do in the same job. As she rightly said, she and her husband were working hard. Talking, shei were said when you go to the store, you do not get a womans discount because you do not get paid the same. , ornow she is retired Social Security will not be the same as she was not paid the same. Her 401k will not be the same. This has a lot of implications for everybody, and it is time we said look, in america, you do the job you get the pay, men and women alike. [applause] and we have to do more to raise everybodys pay, because nobody is getting a raise. [applause] and we have got to make sure that we go where the money is when it comes to funding things like Passenger Rail. The money is at the top. Im the only candidate running in either party who has pledged, i will not raise middleclass taxes, because the middle class needs a raise, not a tax a taxse your not increase. That is why i laid out all these plans how we will create jobs, and the loopholes, get rid of the deductions that give people at the top a chance to go a lot further than everybody else. Fact that the economy does better when we have a democrat in the white house. [applause] because everything i have just said, the leading republicans do not agree with. , held trump actually says actually says wages are too high in america. Known, honestly, i dont we talked to. He ought to come out of those towers and actually talk to people and listen to them. [applause] my husband was and itweek or so ago, wasnt agent history, some of us can remember, we had eight years and 23 million new jobs during those eight years, income when enough for everybody, not just people at the top. Middleclass families, working families, poor families. There were enough jobs in the incomes were going up, so the income went up 17 in those eight years. [applause] sec. Clinton now, it will not surprise you to hear me say i think there are lessons we can learn from that, and there is another lesson we can learn why did this not continue . Because we had a republican president and they went back to trickle down economics. Pay close attention to what trump and cruz are saying, they want to go back to trickle down economics on steroids. We have been down that road, it did not work. We had a republican president who slashed taxes for the wealthy. I was putting i guess in the senate, speaking out against it took their e, they eye off the Financial Markets and Mortgage Markets and we had the great recession. And a lot of people have not even recovered from that. For heavens sake, why would we go back to the failed policies that dropped us into the ditch that the republicans dug for our country . [applause] sec. Clinton and i know how hard it was. We were losing 800,000 jobs a month when president obama was elected. Blustern americans jobs, multiply that by Family Members. 5 million homes lost. Trillion in Family Wealth wiped out. I do not think president obama gets the credit he deserves for digging us out of the ditch and putting us back on solid ground. [applause] so, we are back creating jobs and we are back with a lower Unemployment Rate, but we do not get half the kind of energy that is producing the results i want to see for the American People. That is why we have to build on what has been done, do not get talked into some kind of a detour. Ove it, the republicans and i did listen to them, i did it so you do not have to. Like, welly things it is the slowest recovery in history. That takes a lot of nerve. We would not have needed a recovery if they hadnt wrecked the economy in the first place. [applause] i got to tell you, i do not know who they will end up nominating, that i am looking forward if im fortunate enough to be the nominee, to actually having a debate about economics. A debate about more good jobs, a debate about rising income. I am also looking forward to debating about education, and what we need to do to invest in education and. Every child in this country deserves a good teacher in a good school, regardless of the zip code that child lives in. [applause] do. Clinton and we need to more for Early Childhood education, some more kids are prepared when actually get to school to learn. And i want to be a good partner with our teachers and educators, and i appreciate them being here with their blue tshirts on, thank you. [applause] sec. Clinton and we are going to make college affordable. [applause] and i have laid out a plan on how we are going to do it, how it will work, and i know that we can actually make it happen because it is stopping that, now, is a lot of young people from starting college and completing college. C, my plan has debt at have to take a hard look what youre charging young people and their families, in my opponents plan report realize on governors to pay a third of the cost. I do not think they are going to do that. I put forth a plan to i can deliver, debt free tuition. [applause] sec. Clinton and we have to tackle the debt that young people have. How the people here have student debt . How many have ever had student debt . With tens ofpeople thousands of dollars in student debt, and really high Interest Rates. I got to tell you, it makes no sense. I took out loans when i went to college and law school, but i do 12 , 14 a 10 , interest rate, and i meet people across this country who do. If can reef finance you can refinance a car payment, should be able to refinance your student debt. Your student debt payments every month, we are going to have a cutoff time. After 20 years, you are done because it should not keep going for the rest of your life. [applause] we are also going to work to make sure that health care is affordable and that you have choices. I am going to defend the Affordable Care act because it took so long for us to get to this point here. [applause] you know, before the was obamacare, there was something called hillarycare. And we worked really, really hard. But i will be honest with you, i got beat by the Insurance Companies and the Drug Companies here they just knocked me down. I love when some people running for this office talk about how they are going to take on the special interests. I have done and i know you have to be prepared, you have to be ready, you have to do everything you can to beat them back. When we were not successful, i got off the floor and said hope ok, what do i do now . I worked to create the Childrens Program which ensures 8 million kids. And i know how much that meant to those families, and im the young people who come up and thanked me because they did not have Reliable Health care before the program. Whens why i was so happy we passed the Affordable Care act, because when you have been to as many places as i have an or country and met so many as i have been in this country and met so many people. Afford thet insurance market, but we have to get the cost down. [applause] i have a very clear idea of how we will do that. Republicansans want to do want to repeal that. It will just go back to the weight was. If you are a woman, your cost will be more than a mans. Person, yououng will not have the opportunity to say under families all see. Lifetime limits will come back. A lot of what we have changed will be wiped out. My opponent wants to start all over again. I can tell you, we do not need another big, contentious debate about health care. Workve to make what we got really well and improve it and get the cost out of an upward spiral. [applause] sec. Clinton i want to mention two other things, because you got your president ial in this talk about these two things and i am really determined we are going to address those. Number one, we need more treatment for Mental Health problems. [applause] sec. Clinton i was talking to congressman cartwright before i came out, and we were talking about running for office and they said, you know, there is ething that is so personal i meet people, maybe just for a minute, sometimes i talk to them for 30 minutes, but people want to tell you what is on their minds because they are hoping that you or somebody can help. The two things i hear the most about, yes of course economics, knocking down those barriers, but Mental Health and addiction. [applause] sec. Clinton and so, when i shake the hand of a mother or father or sister or brother, child, and they say please do something about Mental Health, i know it is personal. Maybe it affects them, maybe it affects somebody they know or are related to. I cannot tell you how many of those conversations have led to somebody saying please do something about the heroine and opioid academic epidemic. [applause] sec. Clinton i had a young man come up and introduce himself and say he was going to vote for me. I said do you mind if i ask why . He said i will tell you. I got really hurt play football at senior year, i had to have surgery. When i got out of the surgery i was in terrible pain and the doctor prescribed opioids. Am not embarrassed to tell you, i got hooked and i could not shake it. I could not keep getting the prescription filled so i turned to heroine. Heroin. And so fortunate to be standing here because a year ago i lost a good friend who overdosed. Roine in the car doing he and he died. That said to me i cant keep doing this and i went to get help. ,ook me two months to get help because when you are ready to get help there are not enough places to go to get help. Thousands anding thousands of americans of all age, but particularly Young Americans under 40, and we have got to adjust this. I can do everything within our Health Care System to remove the stigma from Mental Health and tackle the heroin and opioid epidemic. [applause] now, there are a lot of other important issues and concerns that we have to address in this campaign. We have got to make sure we have more Affordable Housing for people, particularly in our cities. We have to make sure we have more of a diversified economy in areas. Al we have to revitalize the cities like scranton to be magnets to attract more business. [applause] sec. Clinton we have got to make sure that we protect what exists. I would never let the republicans privatized Social Security or medicare. [applause] in i will never let them privatized the va, we have to improve it and provide the services our veterans deserve to have, but we will not let the Koch Brothers and republicans dismantled the va. [applause] sec. Clinton we also have to be committed to do more to try to talkings where we are with confidence and optimism about the future. I think that means we have to protect peoples rights, a womans right to health to make her own health care decision. [applause] sec. Clinton we have to defend Marriage Equality and end discrimination against the Lgbt Committee community. We have to defend Voting Rights and Citizens United which is corrupting our political system. [applause] sec. Clinton we have to be focused on protecting workers rights and the right to organize and bargain in a union. [applause] sec. Clinton now, why is that . Labor unionamerican helped to create the american middle class. I was meeting with some inpenters, electricians pittsburgh earlier today, and they were telling me about the kind of pressure they are under. By forces in the Republican Party and others who are their allies, to the road their right to bargain. I will tell you this, you do not have to be a member of the union to want there to be unions doing that because that raises the base for everybody. [applause] and i will to you Something Else i will take on, i will take on the fight for common sense gun safety measures. [applause] and i want to be really clear about this, because i learned how to shoot a gun behind our cottage. Guni know how important ownership and particularly hunting is here in northeastern pennsylvania, and i want you to we cannot ignore the Second Amendment, and we cannot ignore the 33,000 people a year die from gun violence. Violence. From gun and i think we are smart enough to figure out how to do that, and the gun lobby does not want us to figure out how to do that, they just want people to remain upset and agitated. At some point they have to answer for that. Responsible gun owners actually support what i am proposing. Comprehensive background checks, closing loopholes. [applause] closing what is called the charleston loophole, ending the special protection that congress voted for and gave to gun makers and sellers, which means they never have to change anything. It is the only industry and our country given that. So, there is a lot that could be done to make guns less accessible to kids. Those 33 thousand, way too many our kids finding loaded guns, playing with guns, being able to pull that trigger. And other kinds of technology would save a lot of childrens lives without infringing on Second Amendment rights. Im well aware im walking into the buzz saw here, i understand you that i can tell when you had met as many victims of gun violence as i have, because i have been visiting with people who have lost their loved ones for 25 years now. You either become totally insensitive because it is too use it to yourself, come on, we are better than this. Was in philadelphia the day before yesterday with mothers who have lost their children. I was in hartford, connecticut yesterday on a panel with a mother from hartford whose bright, really promising 20yearold son was caught in some kind of crazy gang c rossfire, just minding his own business. I was there of the daughter of the printable of Sandy Hook Elementary School who went what you heard the gunshots to see which he could do to stop it and was murdered. The mother ofe of one of the little girls who was murdered at sandy hook. When you meet those people, as i have, when you hear their stories, can you imagine sending off your six or sevenyearold to school with a little backpack and then getting a call that a man who was clearly disturbed and should never have had access to military assault weapons, had walked in there in murdered 20 . Hildren and six adults there are lots of stories like that and we have to make this a voting issue. Responsible gun owners have to stand up and say this has nothing to do with my guns, my hunting, my sport shooting, my collecting. [applause] sec. Clinton so, i want to do this and i also want to make a pledge to you that i will do everything in my power to keep america safe, to defeat terrorists and anybody else who threatens our country or americans anywhere. Wherere is another area trump and cruz are not just saying things that are offensive, which they are, they are saying things which are dangerous and i want you to understand this. I went to 112 countries on your behalf have secretary as secretary of state [applause] we are not going to be able to defeat isis unless thatve a coalition includes muslim nations, that is out we are going to do it. When you have someone running for president who basically says we do not want any muslims in our country, that sends a message, and it sends a message which makes the job of building that coalition a lot harder. When you have ted cruz saying we need special Police Patrols in neighborhoods where muslims live. How that would work no one can explain, but that is what he said. , which i worked closely with after 9 11 because i was a senator in new york after 9 11. [applause] sec. Clinton they were just shaking their heads hearing what cruz was saying. The chief of the Department Said that as a department which doesnt go anywhere. What do we do with the 1000 muslim Police Officers we have on the nypd . Any commissioner, who has as much experience as anybody, said ted cruz does not know what the hell he is talking about. [applause] sec. Clinton i know some of these lines get big applause responses and these rallies that trump has, but stop and think, is that smart . Work, does it help us, does it protect us . The answer to all that is no. He even went further and said he doesnt care if other countries get Nuclear Weapons. Democratsen working, and republicans alike, to prevent countries from getting Nuclear Weapons and having a freeforall that brought more Nuclear Weapons into the world. Im telling you, im looking forward to debating it on the economy in debating them on National Security because we are electing a commanderinchief as well as a president. [applause] sec. Clinton let me just close by saying this. I think one of the jobs the next president has to take on his unifying our country. We have too much division. It is fine to have a back and forth in a political campaign, that goes with the territory. But when the politics are over, when the campaigns are done, the elections have been held, we have to Work Together. Diagnosing the problem is not enough, we need solutions that will bring people to the table and actually roll up our sleeves , and i want you to know this about me in every job i have ever had, i have worked hard to find a common ground. I did it as first lady, i did as a senator, i did as secretary of state. Working across the aisle finding ways to solve problems. Else, tell you something a lot of republicans have nice things to say about me when i am actually working on the job. Publicizingbly be all those nice things as we go forward. [applause] you know, when i am actually running for a job, they are after me from sun up to way past sundown. I get that, and naomi names and the rest of it, i do not mind. Because what is really important is that i do what i will tell i will do. I want you to hold me accountable for what i will do. That we will Work Together across every line that divides us. That we will create a future that our children and our grandchildren can have the same opportunities that should be the birthright of any american. I am so grateful that i was born in this country. I am so grateful that i had parents who understood artwork. That i have aul chance to try to do the same for my grandchild, and i want to be the champion for all of america, but particularly for our children and our grandchildren. They deserve no less. Lets go out and please vote on tuesday in the primary thank you all so much announcer donald trump spoke at a Campaign Rally on friday. He talked about a variety of domestic and Foreign Policy issues, and the importance of getting out to vote. His comments came 40s before delaware is scheduled to hold its president ial primary. This is just over an hour. Please welcome the next president of the United States, mr. Donald j. Trump mr. Trump thank you, everybody. Thank you. Oh boy, oh boy. This is great. We love to be here. Do we love delaware . Do we love it . Yes . When i left the office i asked for a couple of things. I said, number one, i spent a fortune in delaware. Nobody does that, right . It is a great place. I said to my people, we do a lot of business in delaware. Thats good because that means taxes and everything. How many entities do we have registered in delaware, Like Companies . I figured they would say maybe two or three. 378. [applause] mr. Trump so we have 378 entities registered in the state of delaware. Meaning i pay you a lot of money, folks. I dont feel at all guilty. I dont know. They might be off by a couple, but that is about it. They had about 12 minutes to give me the answer. It could be a little off but it is a lot. Good, that is good. All right . All right. It is a great place. Great people. They have done an unbelievable job hello, folks. [applause] mr. Trump thank you. Still cant believe, 378. Here is the bad news. We will get through this because we are going to fix it. Were going to fix it fast. Real Median Household Income in delaware has declined by more than 10,000. Think of it. Since 2000. No good, right . Well, im doing my share. Delaware lost 1 3 of its manufacturing jobs since china entered the World Trade Organization in 2001. This region of the state also lost 1 3 of its manufacturing jobs to china. By the way, lying ted cruz supports chinese currency cheating. Think of it. He voted against an amendment to try and block currency cheating by china and ted cruz voted against it and it is the single biggest weapon that china and other countries have against us for absolutely destroying our businesses. This guy voted against it. It is almost impossible to vote against it if you love our country. But you know what happened . Somebody got to him and said we want you to vote against it because some company or some country did not want it and this is what we have running for office. No more, folks. We are going to end it. Terrible. I actually had to have that one checked. How can you vote against that . He voted. Lying ted cruz. Delaware was hit hard by closures of its auto manufacturing plants over the years, including chrysler and gm plants. Cruz and kasich support the Transpacific Partnership which will absolutely kill the Auto Industry in this country. I am against it. I have been fighting it. And kasich voted for nafta, which has cleaned our clock for years. We cannot let that stuff happen, folks. By the way, Transpacific Partnership is worse than that. It is going to be worse. We have got to stop it. We have got to stop it. Obama wants it. If obama wants it, you know it is no good. [applause] mr. Trump man, oh man. I hate to do it. It is so negative, right . But it does not matter. If i become president , were going to turn it around. We are going to make great trade deals. We are going to make great trade deals. We are going to bring our job back and we are going to keep the jobs that we have here. Believe me. Believe me. The number of food stamp recipients in this county has increased sixfold. That is a lot. Since 2000. Wow, 6000 food stamp recipients, now you have 36,000. Come on fellas, we have to get going. We will get it changed. Delaware voters are concerned about the possible intake of syrian refugees. Is that unbelievable . The state has seen large increases in its foreignborn population. We dont even know where the hell they come from. We dont know where they come from, who they are. They are totally undocumented. And you have seen a large intake. With the problems we have, you have seen a large intake. Remember when they said it was 3000, then 6000 . I said it was going to be a lot more, i was saying 200,000. I was right. We are taking in tens of thousands of people. And you know what . We all have hearts and we want to take care of that, but we dont know where these people are coming from. They have no documents, totally undocumented. We have enough problems in our country. Weve got 19 trillion in debt. We have the southern border which is like a piece of swiss cheese and we will talk about it. We will build the wall, yes. We will build the wall. Build the wall. Build the wall. [chanting build the wall] mr. Trump oh, we will build it. Who is going to pay for it . 100 . By the way, are we having a good time . You know, we have a great time considering the subject matter is no good. Look at all those hats. Make America Great again. When we say that, you know somebody, a reporter by the way, the worlds most dishonest people are back there. Look at all the cameras going. Unbelievable. They are dishonest. Not all of them, but most of them. Last night, bill oreilly said because there is a movement, no matter where we go, there are more people pouring in. Look at this place. That is a lot of people. But bill oreilly on fox said last night that what has happened with trump is one of the biggest political events that he has ever seen. In fact, i will go a step further. He actually said it is the biggest political event that he has seen in his lifetime. Thats big, right . He is a pro and an amazing guy, tough and smart. He does not always treat me great, but that is ok. Ill tell you, he said the biggest political event that he has ever seen in his lifetime. I have to tell you that there is something going on that is incredible. We go to alabama, we had 35,000 people and we won alabama, we won arkansas, we won florida, and we won south carolina. And we won New Hampshire and we won connecticut and we won so much. And why did we win two days ago with record numbers in new york . Oh. You know what is nice about winning new york . Really, and not just the fact that it is big and we won almost every delegate. And we won by a massive amount. We had 62 . And when you think of it, you have three people running, it is almost impossible to break 50 and we got 62 . It really is. But you know what is nice about winning new york . Those people know me well. I mean, you dont know me as well. You just take my money with all the taxes. But i have known delaware for a long time and it is a great place. And we are going to get rid of the bad stuff that we talk about, were going to get rid of it. We have to do that also at a federal level. You cannot allow policy that allows china and mexico and japan and vietnam and india, you cant allow policy that allows these businesses to be ripped out of your state like candy from a baby. Like candy from a baby. It will all end and we will talk about it. But what is nice about new york is they know me the best. I grew up in new york and i have been in new york a long time and i have been very public. I have been well vetted, everything ive ever done. If i sneeze, it is a big story. But they know me well. And to win by that kind of a margin is not just the size of new york, but even a person from another state called me and said , the nicest part, they know you so well in new york, and for you to win by this massive number, a recordsetting number, is really a great tribute. And i never thought it that way. I just wanted to get over 50 . So, it is, there are great people in new york. I went over the state and i new york state very well. You had syracuse and rochester and albany, lots of other places. We want to long island, we went all over. Suffolk county. It is horrible what is going on. Same here, same everywhere. I always ask for these things. This stuff. I asked for it and say the statisticians, they get it out of books, government books, and i say give me the information. So, i have done many speeches in many places over the last couple of months and it is always the same. The manufacturing jobs are being stolen. Our jobs are being taken. We are losing at every front. There is nothing good. Our country does not win anymore. You just look whether it is delaware or whether it is syracuse, new york, or whether it is albany we had 21,000 people in albany show up. Incredible people in a great arena. We had 21,000 people. We have thousands and thousands of people show up at every stop and it is always the same. I say get me the information, and if the information was good, i would like to read it. I would much rather read it then read this stuff. It is always the same. The jobs are being stripped. The factories are closing. And if you ride through some of these communities and you go from the airport to a venue like this and you see all of the closures. You can see it. You can see, it was a thriving place 10 years ago, 20 years ago, and it has been stripped. It has been stripped. We are not going to let it happen anymore, folks. We are not going to be the dummies. We are not going to be the dummies. I tell you, it is terrible. It is terrible. I even said when they gave me the statistics, i said, what do i need them for . All i have to do i have a good memory. A great memory. All i have to do is get up and say manufacturing down 30 . It is the same thing everywhere. The same thing everywhere. In some cases, you have to say local politics and local politicians thats important, but the megadeal is what is happening with our country. Our leadership is terrible. Our leadership is incompetent. We dont know what the hell we are doing. There really is no leadership. We have a president , he goes to cuba and watches a game and a big tragedy happens, watches the end of the game. He lands in cuba no. He lands in cuba and theres nobody to greet him. Now here is the difference. No problem with cuba, by the way. No problem. It is time to make a deal. I would like to see a better deal, but its fine. You land in cuba and no one is there. In the history of air force one, which is pretty long, it is probably the first time the plane landed with no one there. In other words, there was not the head of state, castro, anybody to greet him, and then he goes the saudi arabia and same thing happens. The big leaders are not there to greet him at the plane. You know what i would do . If i said, how are we doing . Who is here to greet me . And the president of the United States, i am on the air force one. We dont have anyone to greet you, mr. President. Here is what i do. Pilot, boom, go back to washington. Go back to washington. [applause] and i love the cuban people and i love the saudis. Go ahead. Lets have some fun. Its friday. Lets have some fun. [chanting trump] mr. Trump lets have some fun. Its friday. I have all the time in the world. Lots of it. Great people. Great people in this country. We are going to have apple and we are going to have companies you watch. Theyre going to start making their products in our country. You watch. You watch. I know how to fix the system. You know, you have these guys that talk about free trade. Look what free trade has done to our country. No matter where i go, no matter where i go, look at what has happened with free trade. I believe in free trade, but i dont believe in being stupid. I dont believe in these deals. They are so bad. We have to make great deals. We have a lot of time. You know, i told the story a couple of times. He is so honored by it, i wish he didnt hear it. A friend of mine is dying. He is very sick. He is the toughest guy and has always been the toughest guy. Successful. He made himself successful. He just made himself. He is a good person, but really a tough person and ive always liked him. He is a winner and he gets sick. He was supposed to be dead year ago. And he just has good genetics or something. We speak to the doctors and say, how is he doing . We cant believe it. He is alive a year longer than he is supposed to be. And i call him every couple of days. I say, how are you doing . Im all right. In a way, it reminds me of our country. Because our country has been so abused for so long by incompetent politicians, by horrible deals, by horrible deals. I mean, we have potentially the greatest military in the world, but it is being decimated with cuts and problems. We dont take care of our vets. We lose on every single front. And then we make trade deals where, it is hard to believe. A friend of mine said how is it possible to make a deal like that . They must be stupid. I say no, they are not stupid. They get major Campaign Contributions. They make bad deals because they are paid off with Campaign Contributions. Thats what it is. I mean, it is sad. It reminds me of my friend. This country, it keeps going. The debt keeps getting larger. Now we are up to 19 billion. They signed a horrible budget deal three months ago, the omnibus budget, which funds the syrians coming in. It takes care of illegal immigration coming in. It keeps fuding obamacare, which is a disaster. We will repeal it and replace it. I tell you, it reminds me of my friend. It shows you how great our country is that our country can be abused by politicians that are so corrupt or so incompetent that we continue to go along. We are sitting on a big, fat bubble and we had better get going fast because it is not going to be pretty. It will be like no other. And we had better get going fast. We better get going fast. Thank you. We love our country. The thing we have in common is we love our country, right . [applause] [chanting u. S. A. ] mr. Trump we do, it is amazing. My family asked me, why are you doing this . Dad, where are you going tomorrow . I get up at 5 00 and i travel to a state far away and then i go to another state and another one and then i come home. I should be home at 1 00 in the morning and i get up at 6 00 the next day. My daughter, ivanka, said, dad, why do you do that . I said it is very simple. I love this country. This country has been so good to me. Really, i would rather not do it. I wish we had somebody who was so good, i dont care if it is a republican or a democrat. If we had a great president who is a democrat we need a great president. We need a great, great president because we are really in trouble. [applause] but i wish and i told my wife, i wish we had a great president. Im a republican. Im a conservative. You know they say you know jeb bush . He said, he is not a conservative. Why . Because i dont want to have free trade if it is stupid trade. It is stupid trade. Free trade is fine. But we get outsmarted because we do not use our best and finest. You saw when i won new york. Carl icahn was there. We have the smartest people in the world on our side. But we dont use them. We use political hacks. We use people with no ability whatsoever to negotiate massive deals bigger than any business deal you could ever do. Because trade is far bigger than any company. The Biggest Company is small compare to trade deals. So, we use political hacks to negotiate the biggest deals in the world against china, where they use people that are the smartest and the toughest. High energy. Remember when i said low energy . Im not going to talk about it. They are very high energy. They come in waves as negotiators. I have made a lot of money negotiating against china. You can beat china, believe me. You have to be smart, you have to be sharp. The largest bank of the world is a tenet of mine from china in a building of mine in manhattan. By the way, the mexican government, the people, they are great. I am not angry at mexico for ripping us off, which they are doing both at the border and on trade. Im not angry at china. I am not angry at japan. You know, japan sends cars by the million. You know what we give them . Practically nothing. Its like a oneway street. Ever hear the words trade imbalance . It is like this. It has got to end. And im not angry at japan. Im not angry at vietnam and india, all these countries. You ever call up on your credit card . You want to find out about your credit card. You were talking to a person from india. How the hell does that work . Where are you from . I was not checking on my card, i was finding out if this was true. I called up under the guise of checking my card. I said where are you from . We are from india. Thank you very much. That is all i need. And india is a great place. And i am not upset with other leaders. I am upset with our leaders for being so stupid. So stupid. [applause] know, the middle class that built this country, which i am really into the middle class. These people, you are tired and you are disgusted. You are tired and you are disgusted. But people are working longer hours. They are working harder and in many cases they are working a second job, which they never did before. It is supposed to be the other way. You do a good job and you take it easy. They are now working harder and they make less money than they made 18 years ago. Their wages, their real wages are less than they were 18 years ago. Then people say, donald, there is a lot of anger at your rallies. They said, they are angry people. They are not angry people. They are angry at what is happening. There are actually happy people. They are great people. When i won south carolina, nikki haley, good woman, shes the governor of south carolina, but she backed somebody else, who i beat very badly. The Lieutenant Governor backed me and the governor backed somebody else and i said, i want the Lieutenant Governor, right . But nikki haley made a speech. It was a response to the president s speech. She did a nice job. But she talked about us, not me. Us. She said they are angry, they are angry. Somebody called from the press right after that speech. My lines were going crazy. They said, are you angry . And i was supposed to say no, no, we are not angry. But we are angry. We are angry at what is happening. But i say this always. We are not angry people. We are reasonable people. We are not angry people. We are angry at what is happening, but we are not angry people. We are incredible people. Ive seen the people. We are incredible people. Hardworking, incredible people. But we are angry at a system that does not allow us to achieve anything. We give all our money away. We have military deals where we protect every country. You know, we always say we spent many times what any country spends on the military. Ive heard that for years. Many, many times. You think we are spending on dover . Great place. Who is here from dover . Good place. But ill bet it could use a little uplifting, right . I know. You know what we spend on . We spend on defending other countries. Everyone says, the military, great. But we are not spending the money. We are spending so much money defending germany. You know we defend germany, right . Nobody knows that. We defend japan. We defend south korea. So, we are right next to the mad man. Youve got a mad man over there. No dummy. Anyone that can take over from his father with all those killer generals, no dummy. But i think he is a little bit off. Didnt his uncle find that out . His uncle was cut up into 40 pieces because he raised his voice. So, look, south korea is great. I have buildings and south korea. The problem is it is an economic behemoth. When i want a television set, i ordered thousands of Television Sets a year for different projects. When i want a television, it comes from south korea. Sony comes from japan. But from south korea, lg, samsung, all these. We dont make televisions anymore. Somebody, this guy, george will, oh hes so stupid, he says, why doesnt somebody say that we do have a Television Company in this country . Yeah, yeah, it is a country that you have never heard of, a company that assembles parts. The parts come from south korea these are so bad, the pundits. They used to say, donald trump wont run. Dont worry about it. People not run. And then i read, oh, he ran. He will not file form a. I filed form a. Then, this is getting ridiculous. He will not file his financials. What he will do is he will take advantage you were allowed to push it off forever. You have 30 days but you get 45 day extensions as long as you want. So i said, i want to have my financials filed in 30 days. And they are the biggest financials in history of elections. The biggest. Almost 100 pages. So i tell my accountants from washington and my lawyers, all these expensive people. I spend a fortune, its ridiculous. It is so complicated. Taxes are way down. It is lower by far, for the middle class, it is simple. You dont have to use h r block anymore. Great for business, great for the middle class. Great for everybody. Lower taxes. I mean, lower taxes. The highesttaxed nation in the world. So anyway, i filed my papers. These guys, the dishonest ones, the media, it was like a feeding frenzy. It was like a feeding frenzy in washington in front of the federal election. They wanted to say, wait a minute. Look how little oh, this is terrible. Except my Company Turns out to be much bigger, much stronger. That is why you dont hear anything about it. In fact, a friend of mine said when i announced i am running, because i am a private person. People dont know what i own. They try and pretend that they did they dont. Friend of mine says, donald, you announce your running now i know youre rich because you have to file. So what happens is i built a company that is phenomenal. I built some of the greatest assets in the world. I borrowed 1 million not so long ago. I borrowed 1 million and now it is worth over 10 billion. Some of the great assets of the world. Miami and turnberry and scotland, Office Buildings all over the place. Ok, very little debt, tremendous cash flow. One of the great companies. But heres the story, i dont say that bragging way. I say that because that is the kind of thinking our country we need it. We have people who dont have a clue. A guy like obama has never employed one person. He never employed a person. Radical islamic terrorism. You see what is happening. He doesnt want to knowledge what happened in paris. People wererdino killed and injured. Obama doesnt want to acknowledge it. He will never acknowledge it. Radical islamic terrorism . Unless you talk about it, youre not going to solve the dam problem. [applause] started on june 16 when i came down the escalator and i. Aid wow it looks like the academy awards. The place was packed with press. You never seen anything like it. With all those cameras. They never show the crowd. With bernie, and hillary they cant talk about because their crowds are so small. If bernie has a big crowd they was double it. He did have 25,000 people. He did not have 25,000 people. We have 35,000 people or more in alabama. They keep the cameras on me. It sounded big but they never show it. The only thing i like about the the camerasters and then everyone sees how big the crowd is. With bernie, he is out and i am happy because i really want to run against crooked hillary. [applause] say that if its ald trump against him crooked Hillary Clinton it will be the greatest turnout of voters in the history of the United States. I believe it. [applause] trump against clinton. Lion ted cruz doesnt work. She would beat him so badly. He would lose summary states. Look at what happened to him this week. E lost to Kasich Ted Cruz came in third in new york. He walked away from the cameras. I will win new york against Hillary Clinton. And i will win michigan and and of course delaware. And i will win florida. We won by more than 20 points. A tremendous win. Just to show you the system. We have to win big. On tuesday everybody has to go out and vote. This system is rigged. The fighters have a great expression. The going into unfriendly territory. If i knock them out there is nothing the judges can do. We have to knock them out. I have millions more votes than ted cruz, millions more than john kasich. Three hundred more delegates than ted cruz even though its a rigged system. And he goes around taking people out to dinner. It is such a crooked system is disgusting. Kasich has won one contest that of 38. Any keeps running. Ted cruz says john kasich should get out because he is so far down. Now is no way ted cruz can win. He should take his own advice and get out. They should both get out. Out, we will start on Hillary Clinton like nobody has ever seen before. [applause] were going to have an unbelievable time. Who does she least want to run against . And the guy said trump. Very capable people like ben carson who endorsed me. And chris christie. The governor of new jersey, a great guy. Look what he did to those people. All 17 of them. And now left with two guys. Not even to guys. Maybe its just one guy, a half and half. Thats what oreilly said last night. Is competing against senators and governors of the highest level of our nation and one by one they get knocked off. This person from obamas nowaign who i think is involved with hillary said the person she least wants to run against is trump. They dont know where he is coming from. The word unpredictable. We have to be unpredictable. Is totallyy predictable. Obama gets up and says we will leave iraq and he gives a date. Can you imagine general Douglas Macarthur or general George Patton hearing that the president of the United States give an exact date for withdrawal . A few months ago we sent 50 of our finest military people over to iraq and syria and the president has a News Conference and says we are sending 50 of our finest. Isis is looking for those people you would believe. What is have to talk . When you say 50 people, its not enough. In terms of scaring somebody. They now have a target on their backs folks. I have friends in the military who say that was so devastating. These are tough great soldiers. They did not want to go. Why are you announcing this . You want have some kind of political benefit. But we have to be unpredictable. When he announced an exact date i said he is probably doing a little camouflage. It wasnt. The enemy pulls back and then were gone and boy do they hit us. Lots of bad things happened. Hillary wanted to go into libya. Libya is up high and has the oil. Now isis has the oil. We dont even blockade them. How long have i been saying take the oil . For years. Obamas people said that is not a plan. Is isis has gotten and theh from the oil dark banking channels. I know so much about banking. I am the king. I know almost as much as the people in delaware. They are making a lot of money off crooked banking. They are making a fortune with oil. And we dont have them. We send leaflets down, please leave your truck. We will be bombing you shortly. I laughed because i thought it was a joke. They are not kidding. Refineriest hit the because they dont want to cause environmental pollution. Can you imagine somebody like George Patton who was rough and tough . He would never be a general today. He could see is not politically correct. He slapped a soldier. They put him in prison for 15 years. The sky was tough. Soldiers love them. They would die for him. We cant really hurt anybody and we dont want to bomb the oil because we dont want the flume to go up and hurt the atmosphere. We dont know what were doing. Theyg one of the debates asked ted cruz about waterboarding and he didnt want to talk about it. I understand it. For me it is not a tough issue. When ted cruz get something he is uncomfortable with he sucks is somewhat a fool. He didnt give an answer. I was center stage for every single debate. I never debated before professionally. I heard cruz was a good debater in college. But he was never interrupted in college. I would interrupt him and all of a sudden he went crazy. I want all the debates. Is making us look foolish. It is making us look stupid. It is going to change. It will change fast. We are to make great trade deals. Carriersco left chicago making airconditioners im never buying carrier again. I buy a lot of airconditioners. They are moving to mexico. Ford is building into a halfmillion dollar plant. Because are doubling up when they do it know even goes to help them. And nobody tells them of consequences. They have no consequences. Trump will take any of them. We have fun with it. Say,fe and my daughter please be more president ial. Right now i have to be these people. President ial is much easier than doing this. If i was totally president ial people be falling asleep after 20 minutes. I was hit really hard by the 17 people. Back if ithem didnt hit them back i wouldnt be here. I would be home watching this on television. Be in some little Conference Room at a hotel someplace very. We will be very president ial. We will have our country respected again. You can be proud of your country. I want to make these calls myself. The president of the United States should not be calling in air conditioning company. But i love doing this. I dont take vacations. Taking vacations. I learned that for my father. My father was a hard worker. He never took vacations. Do, youove what you dont take vacations. He took one vacation and he came back early. He was going nuts. That to get back he said means you love your life. Obama goes off to hawaii all the time. Boeing 747 and he golf it to hawaii to play and then he talks about global warming. Is that person ok . Everything good . We love our people. [applause] those of the people we love. [applause] he flies his 747 to play golf. Than peoplee golf who play golf professionally. I like golf. You got to get down to business. Here is what will happen. Say if call carrier and , you cant00 people do that. Youve got to see them early. They will move in that its too late. You say hey you are going to move heres the deal. Pay a 35 s you cannot tax for every airconditioner unit that you sent across the border. The now very Strong Border. Every time you make a unit it will cost you 35 tax and heres what is going to happen. If it is ted cruz or john kasich or hillary, their lobbyists and special interests and donors will call up and say you cant do that to carrier or nabisco. These people gave you millions of dollars. With me, forget about it. I am self funding. Im not taking their money. [applause] heres the story. They will try to have people call me and i wont even take the calls. We are losing our money. We are getting killed. Heres what is going to happen. The president s and carrier will say we have decided to stay in the United States. I will say enjoy your plant that every single time a unit crosses our border, is our wall will be there, you are paying a tax. Back or either coming we will make you have all money. On those taxes. Look, our government has been working on this problem for five years. Stopping companies from leaving. We will try and lower their taxes. We are the highest tax nation in the world. I am a free trade are. But we have stupid people on our side negotiating. It hasnt worked. Our country is being wiped out. Move, when you make your product when it comes in you will pay a hell of attacks. It is so simple. They are trying to divide us. They are trying to devise highly sophisticated plans to keep. Eople corporate inversion. They dont even know what the term means. People who have trillions of dollars outside our country. The republicans and democrats agree they want the money brought in. And yet the government cant make a deal. A deal to have that money brought back within 15 minutes. I would get the democrats and the republicans into the oval office and i would have them agreeing. You know what is happening . Because they cant get the Money Companies are leaving to get their money. How stupid are we. Journey, arted this coming down the escalator with milani a i loved what i was doing. I love this. I have made so many friends. I have made millions of friends. [applause] party was not exactly a hot party. Weve lost so many of these elections. We were getting smaller and smaller. The path is harder than for the democrats. Romney shouldve won the last election. We had a failed president. They did not do a good job. Mccain had a tough one because the economy was not doing great to put it mildly. I supported mccain and romney. I said this time were doing it ourselves. I hear a guy like john kasich say i would be the best against Hillary Clinton. Not one person yet has hit him with a negative ad. When they hit him with a negative ad and talk about the problems of ohio and his history. He will get slaughtered by hillary. I have had 55,000 negative ads against me and i won florida in a landslide. I won new york in a landslide. And i will win them in the general election. Pennsylvania is coming up. That is a biggie and we are doing great there. We have a lot of great ones coming. , anybodyand, maryland from maryland . [applause] we will do great all over. People are tired of being pushed around. Being led byred of stupid people. Were going to start winning again. You have the chance to do something great. On tuesday you have to get out and vote. He said what you have done has never been done before in the history of america. [applause] i said what have i done . I am a messenger. What we are doing is together. It is never been done before. He said you dont have to win. If you got out tomorrow what you have done will be written about for decades and decades. I said i disagree. I have wasted a tremendous amount of time and energy and money. I said i am right. Unless i win, we can make the kind of changes that are so easy to make in order to make America Great again. Thats how i feel. [applause] i probably shouldnt be saying that. If i dont make it all the way what good does it do . We have to win. You have got to get out and vote on tuesday. You will remember this afternoon and he will say that was the greatest vote i have ever cast. We will start winning again. Were going to rebuild our military. Our military is in shambles. We will rebuild our military. We are going to make it so big and so strong and so powerful that nobody will dare to mess with us. They wont even talk about it. I am the one who didnt want to go into iraq. It will destabilize the middle east. I have been right on so many things. Run a book in 2000 before the World Trade Center came down. I talked about osama bin laden. The america we deserve. We should of taken him out. The World Trade Center would still be standing. The greatest tragedy in the history of our country. Worse than pearl harbor because it was against civilians. We will make our military so strong. Hopefully we will never have to use it. You look at what rush is doing. Russia is doing. They are Building Bases all over the place. More than any time, we need really strong quick powerful brilliant military. We will have it soon. [applause] military, we will take care of our veterans. Our veterans are not being treated properly. We will get rid of common core and bring education back to the local level. We will terminate obamacare and have great health care. [applause] there are lots of options. Obamacare is a disaster. We will protect medicare. It is under siege. We will have a very Strong Border and we will have a wall and mexico is going to pay for the wall. We want people to come into our country that theyre going to come in legally. Heres the story. Cast that vote. Day. Ill remember this you can say it was the greatest vote. We will start winning again. Not the hell out of isis. The hell out of isis. We will take care of our veterans. We will have Strong Borders. A great trade deals. We will save Social Security without cuts. We will save medicare. Everyone else wants to cut the highlight of your Social Security in your medicare. You have been paying for it for years. Back tobring the wealth our country so we can afford to have Social Security and medicare. In delaware, we are going to start winning again. Were going to win and win and win. That is when america became great again. Of youre very proud president. Much more importantly, you will be so proud again of your country. More so than you ever were. It is make America Great again. I have seen so many people at rallies like this one. Even larger. The people are incredible. Maybe greater than ever before. If we have to go through four more years of obama through hillary i dont know that our country can ever be brought back. I just want to thank you very much. This is an honor. Go out and vote we will make America Great again thank you. I love you all. Thank you. [applause] maryland is among those holding their president ial primary on tuesday. Madam secretary, we probably give 72 of our delegate votes to the next president of the United States
