Reactions to all of us as the night progresses. Polls closed about 100 ago in new jersey. Their closing now in new mexico and north and south dakota. Montana pulls close at 10 00 eastern. Voting concludes in california at 11 00 pacific. We will look at the returns from new jersey. Early numbers showing Hillary Clinton is moving ahead in new jersey. We should point out the results. Inh about 11 of the vote new jersey indicating that Hillary Clinton is a head. We will keep track of the numbers during the evening. One quick note from cbs news, donald trump at his golf club in westchester will be using a teleprompter. That was tweeted out a moment ago. Let me introduce you to our guest joining us from washington. Reporterl political with a special emphasis on the democrats. She joins us as our lead and into tonights coverage as we wait for donald trump to come out. Thanks so much for being with us. Let me start with Bernie Sanders. What he does tonight impacts Hillary Clintons campaign. Would have we learned about the signals he is sending today . Bernie sanders said that hes going to be taking some time to talk to his supporters, his advisers, his family about the next step. This is a critical time for him. He has been givwn strong signals from prominent democrats, including california representatives and nancy pelosi. There are indications that president obama himself is inching toward endorsing Hillary Clinton. Prominent democrats are sending clear signals to him that now is the time to talk about unity. The Sanders Campaign is thinking strongly about how to proceed, whether or not they think there is a reason to continue to fight in a contentious way to the convention. Or whether he can begin the process or encouraging his supporters to support clinton. Host theres one more primary after tonight, next tuesday for washington, d. C. I heard reports that senator Sanders Campaign sent out messages to district of columbia democrats, encouraging them to vote for him for next week. What does that indicate to you . It certainly indicates that they need to keep their options open. No matter what happens, regardless if he begins the process or unification with secretary clinton this week, i think Bernie Sanders wants his supporters in the district of columbia, everywhere, frankly, to have a chance to vote. He will have a rally in washington on thursday. He intends to campaign here. Secretary clinton, it should be noted, also has Campaign Staff in washington, d. C. Its unclear whether she will continue to campaign here. Talk about Hillary Clinton and what shes likely to say to her supporters tonight. The speech is going to be about marketing a long deferred moment of history, that final c rack in the Glass Ceiling being broken. Hillary clinton and her supporters, many of them have been waiting eight years for this moment. Eight years ago today was the day that she dropped out of the race. I think they are going to use this as an opportunity to solidify her place in the history books. To place herself among other women in the womens rights movement, including and richards, the Garver Risner the former governor of texas. I think they will take that victory lap. Not waiting until the Philadelphia Convention when the results will be official. Getting word that donald trump is getting out soon. He is on time tonight, unlike the past couple rounds of primaries. Were looking at the picture from westchester, new york. Can you tell us about the past 48 hours hes had, and what his challenges might be this evening . It has been a whirlwind. In the last 48 hours, donald trump went from vociferously defending his criticism of judge curiel, who is presiding over the case involving Trump University, to essentially saying, im no longer going to talk about it and my words were taken out of context. He did not exactly take them back, however. It reflects this incredible backlash that has come from his own supporters, from rank and file republicans, who are deeply concerned about the comments, page were widely viewed as racially tinged, and as some cases racist. I think donald trump is struggling between his instinct, which is to double down on his own words, and what his lawyers wanted to do, which is to back off this line of criticism. Lets take our viewers to the room in westchester. We see lots of people standing and applauding. We will watch as donald trump comes in. Thanks for being with us tonight as we cover these last rounds of multistate primaries. Champions the [applause] mr. Trump wow, thank you very much. Hello. Id like to begin by thanking the people of montana, south dakota, new mexico, new jersey, and california. [applause] we had some big being gains. We have some big numbers coming up. Very big numbers. Im truly honored by your support. Together we accomplished what nobody thought was possible. You know what that is. We are only Getting Started, and its going to be beautiful. Remember that. [applause] tonight we close one chapter of history and we begin another. Our campaign received more primary votes than any gop campaign in history, no matter who it is, no matter who they are. We received more votes. [applause] great feeling. That is a great feeling. This is not a testament to me, but a testament to all of the people that believed real no, not obama real change, not obama change but real change is possible. You have given me the honor to lead the Republican Party to victory this fall. [applause] we are going to do it, folks. I understand the responsibility of carrying the mental. The mantle. I will never ever let you down. Too much work, too many people. I will make you proud of your party enter movement. Shown that ihave am beating Hillary Clinton. And with all of her many problems and the tremendous mistakes she has made, we expect our lead to continue to grow, and grow substantially. [applause] to everyone who voted for me throughout this campaign, i want to thank you very much. [applause] to those who voted for someone else in either party, i will work hard to earn your support. And i will work very hard to earn that support. To all of those Bernie Sanders voters who have been left out in the cold by a rigged system of superdelegates, we welcomed with open arms. We welcome you with open arms. [applause] way, to terrible trade deals that bernie was so vehemently against and hes rigth on that will be taken care of for better than anyone ever thought possible. That is what i will do. We will have fantastic treaty deals. We will start making money and bringing in jobs. [applause] i know that some people say i am too much of a fighter. My preference is always peace, however. Ive shown that for a long time. I have built an extraordinary business on relationships and deals that benefit all parties involved, always my goal is always to bring people together. But if i am forced to fight for something i really care about, i will never ever back down. And our country will never ever back down. Thank you. [applause] i thought for my family. I fought for my business. I fought for my employees. Now im going to fight for you, the American People. [applause] and im not a politicians fighting, im me. You are going to see some real good things happen. [laughter] [applause] this i amber going to be your champion. I am going to be americas champion. Because this election is not about republican or democrat. Its about who runs this country the special interests, or the people. And i mean the American People. [applause] every Election Year, politicians promise change. Obama promised change and it didnt work out too well. Every year they fail to deliver. Why would politicians want to change a system that is totally rigged in order to keep them in power . That is what they are doing, folks. Why would politicians want to change your system that has made them and their friends very wealthy . Byeat a rigged system winning with overwhelming support, the only way you could have done it. Landslides all over the country, with every demographic on track to win 37 primary caucus victories. In a field that begin with 17 very talented people. After years of disappointment, there is one thing we all have learned. We cant six the rigged system by relying fix the rigged system by relying on the very people who rigged it. Do not ever think anything differently. We cant solve our problems by counting on the politicians who created our problems. The clintons have turned the politics of personal enrichment into an art form for themselves. [applause] they have made hundreds of millions of dollars selling access, selling favors, selling government contracts and i mean hundreds of millions of dollars. Secretary clinton even did all of the work on a totally illegal private server. Something that, how she is getting away with, nobody understands. Designed to keep her corrupt dealings out of the public record, putting the security of the entire country at risk, and the president in a corrupt system is for totally protecting her. Not right. I am going to give a major speech on monday of next week, probably, and we will discuss all of the things that have taken place with the clintons. I think you will find it very informative. [applause] i wonder if the press will want to attend. [laughter] Hillary Clinton turned the state department into a private hedge fund. The russians, the saudis, the Chinese Market money to bill and hillary chinese all gave money to bill and hillary and got favorable treatment in return. It is a sad day when for governments have more influence in our own country than average citizens. I didnt need to do this. It. Dnt need to to but i felt i had to get back to our wonderful country, which has been so good to me and to my family. [applause] i have traveled to many of our states and seen the suffering in peoples eye. I have visited communities in new york, new jersey, pennsylvania, connecticut, indiana, and ohio, whose manufacturing jobs have literally disappeared. An embarrassment to our country, and it is horrible. I have embraced the victims of illegal immigration. Moms and dads who have had to bury their own children because of people that should not have been in the country. Remember it, folks. [applause] citiesed the crumbling and the struggling schools. I have seen our dilapidated airports, highways, and bridges, and have compared them to other countries where we see facilities so far superior to ours, its really not to be believed. Hard to imagine what has happened to our country. America is getting taken apart piece by piece, auctioned off and rapidly to the highest bidder. Were broke. Owe 19 trillion, quickly to 21 trillion. Our infrastructure is a disaster. Our schools are failing. Crime is rising. People are scared. The last thing we need is Hillary Clinton in the white house, or an extension of the obama disaster. [applause] [chanting trump] what a crowd. Thank you all very much. We love our country. But we can turn this allaround. We are going to do this by putting America First. [applause] that commitment is the foundation for change that has been missing for a long time. It is important to understand what America First means. It means on Foreign Policy, we will never enter into any conflict unless it makes us safer as a nation. It has to make us safer as a nation. This is the opposite of hillarys Foreign Policy, which invaded libya, destabilized iraq, unleashed isis, and through syria into chaos, and created the mass migration which is wreaking havoc all over the world. And while putting iran on the path to Nuclear Weapons and making them a dominant power in the middle east. And they are dominant, then we have made them that way. President. Im [applause] on trade, America First means the American Worker will have his or her job protected from unfair foreign competition. What is happening there is absolutely disgraceful. No ppp, youre write about that. Youre right about that. You mean no pp. [laughter] we are only going to have great trade deals, okay . We are only going to have that. We are not going to approve the Transpacific Partnership, which is a disaster for country. Almost as bad as nafta, signed by bill clinton, which has stripped our country of factories and move them to other voices. Other places. If it is not a great deal for our country, we will not sign it. It has to be great for our community, for everybody in here. Believe me, we are all suffering. We are suffering big league. Its getting worse. On energy policy, America First means opening up americas Great Potential to bring wealth and prosperity to our own workers. Including our wonderful and hardworking miners who have been absolutely mistreated by this administration. [applause] on economic policy, America First is having tax and regulatory policies that keep jobs and will in the United States, substantially lowering taxes for middleclass americans and businesses. Likewise, regulation which is strangling, our economy, which will be brought down from its present insane level. We will make it very good for our companies, for our small businesses, and for people that want to survive and do well. [applause] on immigration policy, America First means protecting the jobs and wages and security of American Workers, whether first or 10th generation. Our jobs are being stripped from our country like were babies. The beauty of America First is that it brings us all together. Every American Worker of every background is entitled to the same benefits, and protections, and rights, and privileges. Now the people in charge say things cant change. In here today to tell you that we have to change. We have no choice. Put america back to work. We are going to make our own products. We are going to put america back to work. [applause] we are going to rebuild our inner cities, which are absolutely a shame. We are going to take care of her africanAmerican People that a been mistreated for so long. [applause] youre going to make you and your family safe, secure, and prosperous. Prosperous again. Together we will put the American People first again. First again. Our communities wealthier. We will make our cities safe again. We will make our country strong again. Ladies and gentleman, we will make America Great again. Remember thank you. [applause] thank you very much everybody. Champions donald trump speaking to his supporters in westchester, new york. Hillary clinton is also in new york. We expect her speech about 20 minutes. We have an opportunity for you to comment on the race as it stands tonight. A historic date for Hillary Clinton, according to the Associated Press reporting that she reached her threshold. From northhare his carolina. In photo lineup. Over 80 is losing to her. Conservative groups that once aligned with her spending 1. 1 million against her. Donald trump endorsed her, but she lost in north carolinas second congressional district. Hillary clinton has won the new jersey primary with 28 of the vote reporting. Hillary clinton getting just for bernieed to 40 sanders. We have results in other states, including new mexico and north dakota. Hillary clinton maintaining a lead in all of those states. In the new mexico primary, 52 of vote, with 21 reporting. Senator sanders just over 47 of the vote in new mexicos primary. In south dakota, Hillary Clinton ahead with 47 compared to 45 for sanders. Very early numbers from north dakota. This is a caucus, not a primary. Typically sanders has won many of the caucasus, but Hillary Clinton with 69 of the vote. Very small numbers, only 11 votes. Host you heard donald trump tonight with a different tone. Thats because he was speaking from a teleprompter. We like to know what you think about both his style and content in the speech you just heard from him in your phone calls and tweets. Use cpsn when you tweet us. Has all theer trump energy of a cspan broadcast. Were going to go over to the viewers. What is on your mind tonight . Caller; im glad that the race is over and that hillary is the nominee, ready to take on trump. And i africanamerican will not be voting for john. Fror trump. Host are you firmly in support of Hillary Clinton . Guest absolutely. Host what do you like about secretary clinton . Guest i like her voice, her demeanor. Her poise, she has a great amount of experience. Host thank you. You heard donald trump make an appeal to Bernie Sanders voters in his speech tonight. He talked about the fact that he would make a strong appeal on trade deals and others in which they are likeminded. People to his supporters i will work hard to earn your support, even if you did not vote for me. Praising writer trump many of the same issues bernie espouses, and this is hillary. Zach in providence, rhode island hi jack. Guest hi, good evening. That africanamerican gentleman couldnt have been more wrong. Mr. Trump wants to bring jobs back to everyon. E ahappen to have been supporter of ted cruz. He wants jobs for the black americans and everyone else. Under president obama, i believe a lot of the populations that are poor have gotten poorer. He has not helped the Africanamerican Community at all. Chicago,ok at baltimore, detroit those cities are a disaster, okay . Someone like trump to be candid, i question his wealth. He is no charles koch. But he really wants to do the right thing. What impressed me is harold hamm is supporting mr. Trump. He is a mrrich guy and is greetd thousands of jobs in of the energy sector. My first choice was cruz. Didnt work out. Host another republican on the line is steve from minnesota. What are you thinking on this night of primaries . Aest we had 3 choices as republican. But it really doesnt matter, i guess, in the end. Ty auditor the coun doesnt buy the software to check the machines. The last vote we had, it wasnt right. The numbers didnt work out. So, i dont know. Host you still had three candidates on your ballot in south dakota. Who were that . Third . The guest trump, he is the guy with the hair, right . Host right, who has already reached the delegates threshold. Who is your candidate . Lone actually, like the liberal in south dakota. I would not vote for any of those guys. Host did you have a candida earlier . A candidate earlier . Guest i registered as a a republican. Host we appreciate the call. There has been a campaign by fox news to have Hillary Clinton on. The hill newspaper reporting that she will sit down with brett beyer tomorrow. Hillary clinton will appear on the fox news channel. We will take a look at the overall delegate polls. The magic number on the democratic side is 2383 needed for the nomination. These are both pledged and superdelegates. A a lot of controversy over the superdelegates. Even nancy pelosi that in east to be looked at that it to be looked at for future elections. Clinton has 2433 compared to 1606 for senator Bernie Sanders. That is even without some of the results from california. I think we have a new web video. The Clinton Campaign tries to tie this together, looking ahead to the general election. Keep in mind, eight years ago, Hillary Clinton gave that speech, 18 million cracks in the class ceiling. The Glass Ceiling. Sec. Clinton we need to learn from the women of the world who have laid the path. Think of the suffragettes who gathered at seneca falls in 1848. And those who kept fighting until women could cast of their vote. Those who think that the Womens Liberation Movement is a joke, i disabuse you of that notion. It is about equal opportunity. We are talking about humanism. I had been pushed as far as i could stand to be pushed. To create a better world, it is about putting ourselves in the shoes of people who need a voice. I am part of the new generation of suffer just suffragettes. I will not stay silent. Human rights are womens rights and womens rights are human rights, once and for all. The match has been lit, and my fire is bright. I cannot do this alone. This is what democracy looks like. Women need to be represented. If even in some tiny ray, i get to carry on the work that she and i whole generation did, that is huge i want to get back. I met so many other transgender people. Their voices have not already been heard, but i am telling them, our time has come. We will change the worlds together. Because i am here, that has an impact on people like me that will come after me. So lets learn from the wisdom of every mother and father who teaches their daughters, there is no limit on how big she can dream and how much she can achieve. I am a Little Feminist going up to help or women. All women. I hope you can be the first woman president of the whole United States. Sen. Clinton women and men, young and old, latino and asian, African American and caucasian, rich, poor, and middleclass, gay and straight, you have stood with me. And i will continue to stand strong with you and free time and every way that i can. The dreams that we share our worth fighting for. And i want to build an america respects and embraces the potential of every one of us. [applause] host in its entirety, 2. 5 minutes released late this afternoon by the Hillary Clinton campaign as they tried to frame the debate for the general election. We are told senator sanders back in washington on thursday. Hillary clinton on the trail next monday and tuesday. We will be in cleveland and pittsburgh for 2 battleground states. Host lets show you the scene at the navy yard in brookland, where secretary clinton is expected to speak within the next few minutes. Well take you there live. We will air it in its entirety. Secretary clinton back in her home state, a former new york senator, and maintains a home in new york. We will continue to take your calls until she makes her way to the podium. We will also take your tweets. Helen from massachusetts on the democrat line. Guest hi, thank you. Eight years ago i was torn between, hillary and obama. I am a professional africanamerican woman. I went with obama. I was looking forward to hillary this year. I will be voting for her, but not because i am so in love with her like i was eight years ago. Believe she is more qualified for the job at this time. I think that if donald trump i dont dislike him like many people, i just feel that his speeches dont have any substance. I feel that at this point, with where we are in america, we cant afford to take a risk. I definitely will be voting for hillary. I wish it was different, but it is what it is. At this point i think she is the better candidate. Host thank you helen. On twitter, this bieber says thin this viewer says things will get so much more interesting with governor gary johnson in the fray. A call from michael from illinois, an independent there. What are your thoughts on this race . Guest i am an independent. I am very disturbed because in america, we would rather choose donald trump or early clinton, who both have been accused of being liars and thieves, and then we have Bernie Sanders, who has no accusations against him at all. And i am so upset with my people, African Americans, because we are being duped by Hillary Clinton. I just think that ignorant black leaders are responsible for the. That is my opinion. I just wish that we had more knowledge, my people had more knowledge of the truth so that we could make proper decisions. Host we heard earlier that trump made an appeal to Bernie Sanders voters. Someone on twitter wasnt swayed, trujmp is a great manipulator of people. Still standing with burning. Next is a call from gwen, republican. Guest hi, i am a republican. Bringk that trump will jobs back to the u. S. In much corruption with Hillary Clinton, so much trouble for the past 30 years. We need a change here. I believe that trump will do the things that needed to be done. Think donaldyou trump will bring jobs back to america . Them i think by stopping being sent out overseas, make them stop hitting big fines for sending our jobs away. Somethhey can pay a big ing that they can deal with overseas. That should just be stopped. Our jobs are here. Poor if you have ever seen the poor before. We have never seen this to this degree. One manufacturing j over 30 years agoob. We dont have those again. Jobs can be brought back. I am sure that trump can bring these jobs back. He has businesses himself. People work there in his places, you keep on multiplying these businesses and bring them out to the people. It has to come back. Host thanks so much. Next is a call from from rhonda, a democrat. You were on the air. Guest hi, i think the last caller put it in a a nutshell. Donald trump doesnt have any specifics. The biggest thing that we need is to have someone that will bring this country back together. An africanamerican, hispanic american, at the root of it all, we are all americans. The family the feelings i have for my family are those that africanamerican and hispanic families feel. We need to unify, not divide this country. Host is there a candidate in the race that will do that . Guest for me, Hillary Clinton to be specific. Very line by line about how she is going to bring jobs back. I think that is what we need. The need somebody that doesnt talk in an exclusionary manner about peoples ethnicities. At the heart of it all, we are all americans. It is one United States and not 2, 3, 4 separate United States. Its the United States of america. Host on twitter, this viewer sent this message just heard mr. Trumps speech. He said the things i wanted to hear. Mrs. Clinton has too many issues. Benghazi 1. Next is a call from bruce in wisconsin. Hi bruce. Guest hi, how is it going . [laughter] i am a republican from western wisconsin. Host yes sir, and who is your candidate . Guest it is donald trump. Lot, and i cspan a am quite conservative. But you know what . This country is going to hell. And we need somebody in there that is going to take care of the people of the United States and get the jobs going. And nobody else can do it and donald trump. You know . The only Hillary Clinton should be in jail. People are hurting, you know . Weve got 90 some thousand people on food stamps. We have several thousand people out of work. Last month, they said unemployment was 4. 7. Isreality, the unemployment about 25 . People quit looking for jobs. We need to get this country back on earth. God bless America Donald trump can do it. He is a winner. Hes got some good people that are going to help him become the next president of the United States. Obama. Ad 8 long years of what has he accomplished . How many trillions of dollars has he put into the obamacare . He doesnt care about the United States of america . Host thanks, we will say goodbye at that moment. There are lots of people waiting on the line. Next is latoya, from jacksonville, florida. For hillary. D i have been watching everything. The reason i say i vote for hillary is because donald trump is against us, key is not with us. If hes going to be president , he should be with everybody. You talk about the mexicans, how youre going to send them across seas. People, king about black saying that you are out to help them, out to help us. I dont understand that. That is confusing. What type of president busy trying to be . A joke . Have north dakota results . Hillary clinton wins in new jersey. Networks have declared that north dakota, senator Bernie Sanders. These will go to the Regional State convention, this is a caucus. But senator sanders with 62 of the caucus vote compared to 26 for Hillary Clinton. About half of the vote reporting in north dakota. Andrew kaczynski of was feet reporting his family is insulted comparing donald trump to my father. To hillary in bernie camps talking about keeping the lines of communication open. Host thanks very much. The dominant theme of the selection is not red versus blue, but establishment versus antiestablishment. Dnc making a major mistake. Next up is maria in lou london, connecticut. An independent. Guest i am 100 for trump. People lookg for hillary need to what she gets out of her Fundraising Organization and how a small percentage is going out to help people. What is is is herself, selfpromotion. Herif she cant run fundraiser legitimately, how is she going to run this country . Trump, i me we cantan, go wrong. He has at least run a business successfully. He has done everything that the middle class people need to hear. I have not had a raisei in 8 years, but im paying for my son to go to college. He had a roommate from china getting all sorts of assistance. She will stay in this country want to graduates, taking jobs from other students that have to re. Their fair sha i became a nationalized citizens at age 13. We always worked and paid our taxes. But we are getting poorer and poorer. For people to come in, but do it legally and pay their fair share. I have never gotten one nickel. I have never taken any type of assistance. Ive always worked two jobs. Im just tired of it. Host how concerned are you about Donald Trumps comments, which have caused controversy . Guest i am an immigrant. Hes right. Come in legally. Ive done it. We have worked 2 jobs. Freeoday think its housing, free food. Staying on assistance the rest of their life. In my dads day, it was dishonorable to do that. Today, they boast about it and teach each other how to do it. Pay your fair share. Pay your taxes. Get a job. 50 of the people are in some sort of assistance. As he to see whats going to happen i hate to see whats going to happen when my son starts working after working 9 years. I hate to see what will happen to this next generation. I really do. Our politicians put bandaids on things. They do whatever it is to make want. Lves get what they its not what is best for the taxpayer. Putting bandaids, getting us more and more in debt, jobs leaving the country, i think thats getting so much worse. Host next up is a call from bob as a republican. Hi bob. Guest hi, thank you cspan for your fair and balanced coverage. I wanted to talk about about the korean conflict. That is when i served in the army. I think that is the last war. Donald talks about how we dont win any wars. I think that is right. I believe that was a dra w. That was the last time that we did not lose a war. We spent millions of dollars in lots of lives to save south korea from being taken over from dictators. Jobink theyve done a great with being democratic. Its time for them to pay for the protection that we gave them, the 20,000 american troops on the 38th parallel. They need to pay every penny that we spent for those troops. We saved that country. We have made them very prosperous. Its time for them to help us out when it comes to protection. A democrat inis las vegas. Guest good evening. I would like to say yes, im an adamant supporter of Hillary Clinton. Very much so. Given her nature, given her qualifications, to record around six. I am 31 years old. My whole life, she has been there in the scenes. This whole race has been a complete farce, from Bernie Sanders to ted cruz to all of them. My hope and prayer is that we as americans come together, heartless if its donald trump or early clinton. Regardless if its donald trump or Hillary Clinton. The whole nature is to come together as one nation. Id just like to hope that whoever it is, republican or democrat, that we all get on board as one people. Trumpext a tweet, 2016. No more career politicians. Next, a caller from roanoke rapids, indiana. Guest hi this is georgine. I dont want to see Hillary Clinton get it. She is just like voting for obama again. Any amount of common sense can look at the health plan and everything they have started. Borders for everybody else to come in and take all the jobs. 8 jobsns have had what, for 2000 people . We need to go what makes America Great. To represent the people. They are supposed to be doing what we want. Instead of telling us and acting like a king and caring everybody everything. Not everybody is trying to take it from the rich. Look at communism overseas. It doesnt work. Donald trump wants to come back to the constitution, to a bill of rights, to everybody having the great promises that this nation was founded on. The right to work, live. Host next up is jason from longview washington. Hi jason. Guest thank you for having me. I believe that clinton would be a lot better leader than a trump. Herself, evenoven though she has made mistakes. Everybody has. In my opinion, she has made a lot fewer mistakes than what tru mp has made. She has not made any racist thatnts or all that stuff trump has made. Trump reveals himself to be a trump and conmen every day. Florida, ann from independent. Guest hi, how is it going . A lot of people fail to realize regardless of who we vote in as president , the laws past have to go through congress. We can pick anybody to run this country, but the decisions that the president chooses to make has to be voted on. What people should vote is on focus on instead of voting for you havehat president , to Vote Congress members into congress that are willing to pass laws and make changes to benefit this country. If you really want to think about it, and no disrespect to cspan, but the media has with this whole donald trump and Hillary Clinton fiasco. It paints the picture that we see. People need to go back to middle school and learn about the different bodies of government and what is of government have the power to change things, and start there. Once you get back to education, educating people on that its not about the president , that it is about congress. The congressman evo into office, those are those that can put things into law. It has to be voted on. The second part of want to go if the right to vote means so much, what is a superdelegate . Vote,go to the polls and what do superdelegates have to do with anything if they have the power to overturn our vote . Host voting clinton. Policy matters. While i note huge fan of clinton, we need someone that can deal in nuance and experience. We are watching your twitter feed with your comments as we wait for secretary clinton to come to the podium in brooklyn, new york where she is expected to make a victory speech tonight after reaching her delicate threshold delegate threshold. What do you have for us . We showed that video released from the Clinton Campaign. That will be her introduction at the Brooklyn Navy yard when she speaks. She was supposed to speak about 10 minutes ago. The polls closing in a couple minutes in a montana. This tweet sent out by the Clinton Campaign. She is preparing. It says ready. It was eight years ago that she delivered her famous speech here in washington. She made reference to 18 cracks in the Glass Ceiling. I want a story from political. It was a phone call between the chairman of the rnc and donald trump that led to the statement earlier today in which donald trump explained why he was going after the judge, the comments many said were racist. The story at politico that some within the rnc have speculated that because of his comments, there may be a push in the rules committee to on bond the first delegates. Something we will follow. The first democratic platform hearing gets underway tomorrow in washington. The republican hearing in mid july, one week before the convention in cleveland. Host next we are back to phone calls. Joe is in san diego on the republican line. Did you vote already . Guest yes i have. Host who is your candidate . Guest donald trump is my man. We need to get this country back on track again. I see what the border is ringing across. Obama has not really done anything for black people since he has been in august. I am happy that donald trump is going to step up to the plate and put this country back on track again. That is what we need. This is part of black america. Mexicans screaming across the border illegally. If you come in legally, i understand, more power to you. But if they come in legally and take jobs from blacks and whites and americans, it is no good. Votingabel on twitter for someone because she is woman is like voting for someone because they are in it. Make the right choice. A democrat from reisterstown, maryland. Guest thank you for taking my call. First, i like to add that the previous color spoke about congress caller spoke about the congress helping the president make the correct decisions. I agree with that. Ive also like to make a point that hillary is the the correct person to vote for. People keep bringing up benghazi and the emails, and that she should go to jail. No one is bringing up the fact that trump is not disclosed his financial statements. Form of anyut out a kind. He doesnt have the experience. Not only that, you talk about bringing jobs to the United States, he hasnt brought jobs. He has taken away jobs. Is hotels have gone down. The College People where those people . They dont have jobs. He is not the correct person. If he cant handle his own finances and his own business why should we give him the United States government . He is also segregating us now. He is not inclusive. Host are you and Hillary Clinton supporter Bernie Sanders supporter . I am a Hillary Clinton supporter. Joe good evening. Say that im 57 years old. I think this country has lost its identity. That the kidsl today in the last generation around the lowest scores as theyve been testing children of the last 30 years. We dont have jobs here anymore. Where i grew up most of the things were made in america. Thingsd of frowned upon like made in china. A lot of things are made in another country. I think thats wrong. I do know how it slipped away but it did. They are very tech savvy. Combined with the scores are very low academically. I have to blame that on the way the government has been run. I think that Hillary Clinton would be a strong lawyer or maybe impolitic somewhere. If anybody looks at the list of things that she has supported bill has failed. Job ifld not have that that wasnt for her husband obama hadesident of, to get bill clintons support in which case the deal if you read between the lines in the wall street journal you see that she came out that title after mr. Clinton met. Very rude. P is i know hes abrasive. I think we are way too quickly correct our country. America got soft. We need to get tough again. We will all four years of him. E had bush for eight years enough said. We had obama for eight years. Enough said. I think he deserves a shot without malice. Supporterse clinton are not so much clinton supporters as they are from haters. Surround himself with the right people. Thank you so much. Host thanks for watching. A person cant do the job because of their race is pretty much the textbook definition of a racist comments. It is absolutely unacceptable. But to i believe that Hillary Clinton is the answer . I do not. To think Hillary Clinton will be answer to solving these problems . I do not. I think we have more Common Ground with donald trump then we do with her. But i absently disavow the comments that he made. I think it was wrong. I dont relate to those comments. This should be about ideas, moving our agenda forward. I turned into a republican. The president ial race went backandforth. We are what we are. I have a dilemma. The borders are open. They are wide open. People are crossing illegally. The social Services Office of every county in the united illegalrovides individuals to each immigrants. Federally, that is illegal. Some it should be done about that. Lawsuit too write a my local division. In the district court. To combat that issue. The social Services Office of each county to provide for any illegal immigrant. Will challenged paul ryan for his seat. Nealon. He is a downtoearth man a private industry man. He is challenging paul ryan. Became an islamic religionist. He adopted that. Should, in a country for christians, for good reason. It should be known that he is now islamic. That is going to build fence around the white house. In november he is going to raise it. For the same reason that they they taken all the social Services Offices out of every fences of theyve put bulletproof glass. Ira. Thank you reports thatad any speaker ryan has become a muslim. John im doing a little wrap appear to do some followup thoughts. Trump because of his divisiveness where he is trying to split everybody apart. Specially if somebody might Say Something against them he will go 10 times harder in the most vile way that he can. Given his plans for anything. I dont care for him. The continuous slamming of hillary. Over benghazi in that. You look back in history and the istrol of her embassies under different security than the state department. It is all funded by congress. For our and cut funding nations security at the embassies. This keeps being brought up over four years now. Im in my 50s. I remember when we had an embassy in beirut under mr. And wethat was bombed did not leave that country. Within a year we had a Marine Corps Barracks blown up that kills 250 marines. In that same city. How often is that still brought up. The Unemployment Rate. It is said to be 4. 7 . People fall out of the workforce. Those of the same numbers that as when a republican is in office. We dont get to scream about it so much way goes way down at a republican is in. And people want to scream that the numbers are fudged or whatever. We dont fight back. It takes me off when 4. 7 now reagan orbut under seven days for 10 unemployment and they were telling those numbers is wonderful. Host thank you john. Hillary has been attacked for more than 20 years for trying to get things done. Bernie just yells until people are death. Louis i support donald trump. After you have time. You have to give him time. People are saying that hes racist just because of what he says. Misunderstood donald trump will be the president of the United States to matter what. Hes the perfect candidate to be the president. I think he is a great leader and a great candidate. I will vote for donald trump. And yes i am latino. I do for work in a warehouse. My job is steady. I has been there for three and a half years. Aboutn i am really torn the election this year. Im at a loss about who to vote for. Im classified as an independent. The two front runners we have for both parties. I cant fully back either one of them. , held trumps track record broadcasts himself as a great businessman. Is gotten his success from the appeal where he really hypes up things. Really simple forms. Trump university is a scam. His idea to build a wall across the entire border of the u. S. Is just unreasonable to do. The cost to run it is outlandish. Emotions solidhe opinions that people have on immigration. He is really appealing to this from logic. Theyre taking it from a motion. He is thriving on these peoples emotions. Lion also in that state, a senate has senator Barbara Boxer retired from her seat in the senate. Calls. Ake some begin with cathy in south carolina. Republican. Caller i would say, i was listening to hillary speech. Think she has a great speech writer. Anything or do anything to get elected. FarDemocratic Party is so left now of what democrats used be. 700,000ho would take in money from foreign country for the clinton foundation, i is so wrong and she should be held accountable. Also, benghazi. I watch cspan a lot. Watch cspan. To americans. Ur dead she lied about the video. Cspan and the committees questioning her, i the phrase she used. Make. Ifference does it if that was her daughter that like that,in a raid i think she would feel a lot different. I just find her unacceptable to president because shes been in the public eye for 30 years. Her. s so much surrounding that i think shes just unacceptable. Choice. Rump is my ever since last year when he commented that he was going to he wanted to run for president , i thought, we need a fresh start. We need someone new instead of elites like paul ryan. Have gone the wrong way. Host thank you cathy from south carolina. Up next. Brad from minnesota independent. Go ahead. Caller good evening. Just breaking to the hillary speech, gentleman spoke about a presentation with regards to the Unemployment Rate. Specifically under republican presidency the numbers essentially ignored while under the numberresidency is highly and unfairly scrutinized. That misconception describings me as partisan. The Unemployment Rate under the current president , barack obama, theres something meets our eyethan than ears. It is not a fair comparison to rate under thet previous presidencies. The date does not match what we being told. The numbers that matters is the Unemployment Rate but the rate. Rce participation that number, chas measure of the share of the Adult Population either working or looking for the, does not coincide with Unemployment Rate. Hear about the Unemployment Rate, it does not take into account the millions of americans who have been out of work for six months or more. Why the most recent jobs a logicalin side with contradiction in the decline in the Unemployment Rate. Millions whognores given up trying to find employment, it ignores the surge wage service jobs coupled class decrease in middle jobs. Numbers are important. Host thank you brad. Appreciate your call tonight. And carl is in georgia. Independent. Caller good evening. This election is not election of left versus right. Of there of an election people versus the establishment. Versus it seems to votingridiculous to be for an establishment candidate such as Hillary Clinton who probably, especially in Foreign Policy represents maybe 1000 to of the population. Soon be 76 years homed. This will be the first time that vote for a to general election for major Party Candidate in the form of donald trump, thats running against the establishment. For me a dream come true for about 40 years. Vote able to cast a against a political establishment in this country. To world war i. Making the world safer and democracy. Involve world war i. Rise ofe way for hitler. Radical Foreign Policy thats going on for over 100 years. Host thank you so much. Carl in georgia, an independent there. We have more results for us. Shes going to be in pittsburgh next tuesday. Going to behat its a key state for the democrats and republicans. Said he thinks he can win pennsylvania. If he were to win, how were he it . O to haveuld have unbelievable turnout from the the state. T of last 25 to 30the years has voted more and more republican. You got the appalachian part of he would have to, toehow, figure out a way appeal to people in the suburban philadelphia. Thats where elections are decided in pennsylvania in the ofnties around the city philadelphia. Some success has with Higher College educated suburban voters toward the end of the primary. His strength has been with white without a college degree, blue collar voters. Just arent enough of pennsylvania. College educated who,e and white women according to the most recent this state, loath trump. Tom fitzgerald. Senate map,k at the there are descriptions what the democrats and republicans are election, the general ohio, pennsylvania, New Hampshire, illinois, the open now in florida. Those are all seats democrats a shot. Ey might have dynamics int affect pennsylvania, the turnout and also pat toomeys role somebody whos running on a ticket where trump is at the top of the ticket . On patest effect is toomey. Dance he was having to around and allow what donald the judge inout his fraud case about him being a not able to be fair, wrong. But yet, he didnt say i wouldnt vote for him or i wouldnt campaign with him either. Line to walk tight walk. A worseobably isnt republican nominee for him to with. Because pat toomey has really made a lot of inroads in the area that used to be moderate republican stronghold. Hes pretty conservative. Thingsrked on some say such as closing the gun show washole for instance, which not successful. This image. Ed unlikely to help him. Has to without somehow, his backers, run as toomey and try to separate himself from the ticket possible. As we talk to you in philadelphia, were still monitoring the scene in brooklyn, new york where hillary savoring the moment. When the convention gathers in philadelphia this july. She certainly has roots in scranton. Is from. Ere her father how does that dynamic affect her campaign and relationship that shes had over the years with pennsylvania democrats . Is considered a native by some. That goes a long way in certain the state. Pennsylvania is one the most the countrys in with high proportion of people live within a few miles, a place where they were born. Is increasingly unusual in the country. Pennsylvania is a traditional state. Its also the sixth oldest state the country. Voters hereratic voters aret rival older. Have a long history of supporting clinton from starting who carriedinton the state in 1992. Democratic every four years since. All the budget issues have its affecting the state and impact on School Districts across the state. In any way affect the voters in november . It could. Its one question mark that ill many othersand will. It could give some weight to the case donald trump is making the outsider. People say antiestablishment. Deal oftheres a great harrisburg. As far as inability to pass budgets on time. Agreement. Ny i think that could for some voters transfer over. The majority believe the state is on the wrong track. The as majority believe country is on the wrong track. Its a similar feeling of frustration. I guess that it would help trump joining usgerald from philadelphia. He is a writer for the inquirer. Ia thank you for being with us. Quick look again from the brooklyn where Hillary Clinton is still there. Taking selfies and taking in the moment. As we watch that, turn back to susan. Host as our coverage continues on this night final multistate primaries. Waiting for results to come in from california. Few otherok ahead to popup state for the general election. Never going to let you down. Make you proud of your party and our movement and thats what it is. A movement. Recent polls have shown that im beating Hillary Clinton and with all of her many problems, and the tremendous mistakes that made and she has made tremendous mistakes, we expect to continue to grow and substantially. Everyone who voted for me throughout this campaign, i want to thank you. Want to thank you very much. To those who voted for someone willin either party, i work hard to earn your support. I will work very hard to earn that support. To all of those Bernie Sanders voters, who have been left out the cold by rigged system of welcome youes we with open arms. By the way, the terrible trade bernie was so against, hes right on that, far bettering care than anyone ever thought possible. Thats what i do. Going to have fantastic trade deals. Were going to start making in jobs. Bringing i know some people say im too a fighter. My preference is always peace, however. Ive shown that. Ive shown that for a long time. Extraordinary business on relationships and deals. That benefit all parties involved, always. My goal is always again to bring people together. If im forced fight for something, i really care about, i will never, ever, back down. Are never back down. Thank you. I fought for my family. I fought for my business. Fought for my employees and now im going to fight for you American People. Has ever fought before. A politician fighting, im me. To see somegoing real good things happen. Remember this, im going to be your champion. Going to be americas champion. Because you see, this election about republican or democrat, its about who runs country, specialist interests or the people i mean the American People. Election year, politicians promise change. Itma promised change and didnt work out too well. Every year, they fail to deliver. Why would politicians want to change the system thats totally to keep them in power . Its what theyre doing, folks. Politicians want to change the system thats made friends veryr wealthy . I beat a rigged system by winning with overwhelming support. The only way you could have done it. Over the country with every demographic on track win, 37 primary caucus victories in a field that began with 17 very talented people. Of disappointment, theres one thing we all have learned. The rigged system i mean thison very, so strongly, on the very people who rigged it. Rigged it. Do not ever think anything differently. Cant solve our problems by counting on the politicians who problems. R the clintons have turned the of personal enrichment for themselves. Theyve made hundreds of millions of dollars selling access, selling favors, selling government contracts and i mean dollars. Of millions of secretary clinton even did all a totally illegal private server. Getting away shes with this. Nobody understands. Designed to keep her corrupt of the public record, putting the security of ae entire country at risk and president in a corrupt system is totally protecting her. Not right. Majoroing to give a speech on probably monday of next week. Be discussing all of the things that have taken place with the clintons. Verynk you will find it informative and very interesting. Will wantf the press to attend. Who knows. Clinton turns the state department into a private hedge fund. The saudi, the chinese, all gave money to bill and hillary and got favorable treatment in return. Its a sad day in america when with deepvernments pockets have more influence in our own country than our great citizens. I didnt need to do this. Its not easy. Believe me. Fell i had to give back to our which hascountry, been so good to me and to my family. Our statesto many of and seen the suffering in peoples eyes. In newed communities york, new jersey, pennsylvania, and ohiout, indiana whos manufacturing jobs literally, jobs have virtually disappeared. Embarrassment to our country and its horrible. Ive been embraced the victims of the illegal immigration, moms dads who have had to bury their own children because of that shouldnt have been in the country. It folks. I visited the crumbling cities and the struggling schools. State our di lap dilapidated airports. I compared to them other countries where we see facilities so far superior to its really not to believed. Hard to imagine whats happened to our country. Aparta is getting taken piece by piece. Auctioned off to the highest bidder. Were broke. We owe 19 trillion going to 21 trillion. Our infrastructure is a disaster. Schools are failing. Crime is rising. People are scared. The last thing we need is Hillary Clinton in the white of ther an extension obama disaster. What a crowd. All very much. We love our country. Turn this all around. Were going to do it by putting America First. That commitment is the foundation for change thats missing. Its been missing for a long time. Its important to understand means. Erica first it means on Foreign Policy, we into anyr enter conflict unless it makes us safer as a nation. It has to make us safer. Opposite of Foreign Policy. Created the mass migration, is wreaking havoc all over the world. While putting iran on the path makingear weapons and them a dominant power in the middle east. They are dominant and we have made them that way, folks. Way. Ve made them that president. Im on trade, America First, means the American Worker will have or her job protected from unfair, foreign competition. Happening there is absolutely a disgrace. Tpp. That. Right about you mean no ppp. Are going and remember this, we are only going to have great trade deals. We are only going to have that. Approve, going to Somebody Just said, the Trans Pacific partnership. Which is a disaster for our country. Almost as bad as nafta. Signed by bill clinton, which is our stripped our country of factories and manufacturing and places. Em to other if its no not a great deal, we will not sign it. For our to be great country, community and everybody in here because believe me, we all suffering and were suffering big and its getting worse. On energy policy, America First opening up Great Potential to bring wealth and prosperity to our own workers. Including our wonderful and hard working minors who have been totally mistreated by this administration. Economic policy, America First means having tax and keepatory policies that jobs and wealth in the United States. Taxes forlly lowering middle class americans and businesses, like wise, regulation, which is strangling our economy. Very good fort companies and for people who want to survive and do well in our country. On immigration policy, america means protecting the jobs, wages and security of American Workers. Eastern time at the Trump National golf club in westchester, new york to his his victory and todays primary states. Six states voting today. Biggest of those. Results are starting to come in. We should point out, these are early numbers. Votes. E the mailin youll see a lead for Hillary Clinton but it could change as the course go during the evening. Looking now with a small incentage of the vote california. Hillary clinton with 63 of the vote. That translates just over 30,000 votes. Compared to 16,000 or about 35 sanders. Or bernie small portion of the california in. Just coming mailin votes that Hillary ClintonCampaign Says they were organized. Other states yet to be decided in montana. Closested. Hillary clinton is maintaining only 4 of theh vote in. Compared to just over 64 for sanders. Ernie in south dakota, another race to be called, Hillary Clinton is a lead, 51. 5 to 48. 5 for senator sanders. She sent us a tweet about this moment. Eight years in the making. Celebratesnton victory declaring, we have reached a milestone. Ats is what it looks like this hour. Hillary clinton celebrates andory declaring the moment the hill newspaper reporting that senator Bernie Sanders is going to have a rally here in washington d. C. On thursday. One more week of primaries here in washington d. C. Over. E will officially be the multiple state primaries today but d. C. Will wrap things up next tuesday and of course all eyes on the conventions in philadelphia and cleveland. Mark follows all of this in florida. Hes a political reporter for the port politico. Hes joining us now via skype. Lets first talk about the race. Former republican candidate one term senator marco rubio. Lot of speculation. Deadline is june 24th. What are you hearing . Im hearing what you said. Nothing changed. Hes not going to run for reelection. Theres been enormous pressure for him to jump back in the race. Heard from the Senate Republican leader mitch mccome, mcconnell hes encouraging him to do so. Youre saying nothing changed . Im not saying that. Saying that. S rubio is calculus and his mindset has been, i promised i for election if i ran for president. Lost. For president and i im not going to run for senate all of a sudden, just because i lost my race for president. Also rubio does have his eye on president ialure bid. He like to earn a good amount of money. Compelling a real reason from a personal, professional or political side for reelection. Close. Ida elections are in president ial Election Years, they tend to be more democratic leaning. R liberal theres also the possibility that rubio even if he run for win. Ction, wouldnt thats also partly baked in the cake. What the back to senator said. Nothing changed. For reelection. Lieutenant governor, hes running for a seat and it will be act of betrayal for marco suddenly say, i know i promised this. I will run for election. Dont do that. E they are very close personal hownds and thats not personal friends act. With an open seat and one the one, licans hope to keep the democrats have their eyes on in the general election. That affect what will happen between donald trump and Hillary Clinton in the Sunshine State . Its more like how donald trump and Hillary Clinton affect down ballot race. Wisdom now is donald trump is going to be a drag. However, the polling shows trump and clinton are locked in a neck battle. Public policy polling liberal leaning polling released a today showing it was a one point race in Donald Trumps favor. That is within the margin of error. Same poll show that representative Patrick Murphy, from the west West Palm Beach area was probably the favorite. Likely be thethan s. Publican nominee we only have a bunch of little polls together. Generally they show that Patrick Murphy is strongest candidate in a general election for the democrats and that this is going a democratic year but not by much. Tim russert famously said it florida. We saw the recount of the 2000 election. Could we see the same thing in 2016 . Down to florida . Yes, very much so. Since 2016 got to spend 37 days recounting and looking recount. Ts over the florida grown in population. Now 29 Electoral College votes. Third most popular state. Democrat wins california, which is guaranteed and new york enough toa, thats put her, almost over the top. It gives you 42 of the wintoral College Votes to the election. This is a state, florida is a state that the republicans cant afford to lose. Ohio likes to talk about how important it is, but relative to inrida side, it pails comparison as far as size, as far as political. Reflect the rest of the nation, we have a heavy population. Ican growing hispanic population cuban americans which are come overing in droves from puerto rico. Were talking with marco caputo. Theou could explain importance of the corridor between jacksonville moving toough tallahassee and on orlando and tampa. How that typically has been key in florida . Wins whether its statewide candidate Election Years . Slight correction, the oh 4 runs from the Tampa Orlando through the Daytona Beach area. Thats the sea and that is sort of the fulcrum. That Central Florida area kind of decides who becomes the nominee. Again, in a president ial Election Year generally who once the state winds the state will would meet presidency. Steve what areas will determine whether Hillary Clinton can win or donald trump . Marc caputo i am here in miami. An incredibly important counting. Miami and broward are places where the democrats need to build up. You saw this with president obama in 2012. He had eight 540,000 vote margin over mitt romney in these two south florida counties but barack obama only won the state by about 70,000 votes. So you really have to watch miamidade county. Miamidade has a big, vocal cubanamerican population. What we are seeing with Donald Trumps rhetoric concerning his bearing concerning hispanics, you are seeing more and more cuban Republican Leaders in saying, i county cannot go for trump. These are not nobodies. The mayor of the city of miami said when he hears donald trump talk about hispanics, it reminds spic. Being called he is only focus on his reelection. Cubanamerican members of congress in the area also say they are not voting for donald trump and cannot support them. Add that up and it is a big problem for trump. Not insurmountable. The polling is tied in the state. But Going Forward, as Hillary Clinton consolidates the democratic as and they message more and more to floridas black and brown population, the africanamerican and hispanic population. I am not calling the election, it is only june. Thank you very much for being with us. Marc caputo thank you. Host thank you, steve. We will also be looking at more general election states including virginia as the night progresses. We heard from the Sanders Campaign manager will be inaking at what 00 a. M. Eastern time, about 90 minutes from now. Until then, we will listen to your calls and tweets and air speeches from the two major candidates who have already spoken tonight. That will bring us up to the 1 00 a. M. Hour. We will bring you complete coverage of his be when it happens. Lisa from ohio, republican. You are on. Listened to hillarys speech tonight and i think she is playing on the emotions of the women to get votes by saying , it takes a village to raise it a child. The clintons have been an office. They ran our country and did a miserable job. They made themselves rich by making our country poor. She has lied to us. Why would anyone want to vote or her . We need to start manufacturing things. The country needs to Work Together. Elderly are working in restaurants and stores so they can survive. This should not be happening in this country. Jobs,d to bring it work, money to this country at again. I am embarrassed by how our country has been run for the last eight years. We are broke. We need to put our countrys others. We can help help yourself first so you can help others. The president works for us. The American People. Donald trump will help make changes i think he can do it. He has my vote. As my 14yearold son bobby says, vote trump. Host another tweets, i am saddened to admit i will be forced to choose between the lesser of two evils for the fourth straight election. On the screenare and you can also tweet. Please use at cspan when you tweet. Blake is an independent. Hello blake, youre on. Wanted to talk a little bit about how the election panned out tonight. I watched Hillary Clintons speech and it kind of disturbed me. She has run a mostly whole campaign talking about how she walling to stick it to street. But to my knowledge, she has taken 900 some new 5,000 from Goldman Sachs alone. I dont find that acceptable in any measure. It scares me. I will be honest, the last couple of cycles i was a rant paul supporter. He wanted to take the banks on for real. He was deemed boring. Now the man who has the best chance of doing it, donald trump, is considered of no substance to some but i think he has the best chance of doing it. In myst thing about him, mind, is i do not think he could be bought by special interest groups. A billionaire on his own two feet. He doesnt have to get rich. He knows how to make a deal. I read his book. It was here brilliant. Will shut down tpp. I do not want another bad clinton deal like that and have my future ruined. So, that is my basic idea with donald trump. The president be almost. I fear for my future if he is not. Another thing is they think donald trump is going to cause war. He is unpredictable, a warmonger. Look at the other candidates attitude to russia. He is the only one that had a peaceful solution it mine. He wants to be friends with vladimir putin. I am a young man. I will be honest. I dont what to get drafted in to a war that does not need to be far. Because we still have cold war symptoms going on. Everybody in the country can understand that he and a lot of people say we cannot deal with peyton. He is a dictator. I dont want to hear that. Barack obama, you may have heard, had a meeting with fidel castro. Not fidel castro, his son. It has been years since he was there but i fear the future. A clinton future. I feel trump it is the only path we have out. My callld like to and by saying, make America Great again and remember in about 15 years, remember blank because you will be voting for him host were about in the state are you . Guest eastern kansas. thank you blake, appreciate your call. You are looking at a live picture of the anger hang hangar in santa monica. It is about an hour and a half before the candidate will be there. We will bring you live coverage when six stage, new jersey and a number of western states, have gone to the polls. Next up is lori in palm springs. Lori, did you vote today . Test yes maam, i did. Host for whom . Guest for senator sanders. Host why did you vote for sanders . Guest i did not feel solid with anybody that is the truth. This election has been very scary for me. Way american is going. I am an american. I am a veteran. It is not a pretty sight. The best andor break for the best. That are notee being talked about that are very important to me. Our forefathers talked about it and they saw it long before us. Do not mix church and state. Were doing that. We are doing that at record pace and it is scary. The other thing i would like to bring up that to really troubles me, and nobody has brought up the fact that donald trump told the indians, local indians here in the valley, that he was actually native american so that he could use the early and to build one of his casinos. Was a flatout lie that he was caught in. Up, itnever been brought baffles me to know. Like to see him out of politics. I would like hillary, mrs. Clinton, sec. Clinton, to really take the money to travel on and make a real point. I would like donald trump to clean up his and stop doing bully allah takes. We are trying to get bullying out of our schools but we see it all over our campaigns. What kind of an example are we setting for our young people . Host thank you lori from palm springs, a democrat. Next up, a battleground state. Jim kimball is at the boston globe and he also covers New Hampshire where it began a few months back. New hampshire is a swing state. You as james. Joining us is james, a political reporter from the boston globe as we focus on New Hampshire, one of the underground states. Thank you for being with us. James thank you. Steve as you look at the battleground, what is happening . Story of twoa completely different philosophies. Hillary Clintons Campaign never really close their Campaign Office from the New Hampshire primary in early february. They have about six staffers deeply involved in the process from communications to the field to the digital components. Meanwhile, i stopped by yesterday to see the donald trump headquarters and there is literally a a padlock on it. They have taped over the door so you can look in. There is still a trump Bumper Sticker there. Building. Gn over the but no campaign whatsoever. I talked to some people who worked in the building who said a volunteer comes in from time to time, very sporadic. The overall Republican Party in New Hampshire is focused on the u. S. Senate race right now. The Party Chairman has been in a lot of fights with donald trump. These are not very easy. In fact, the trump team d poster is being the trump delegation chair when they go to cleveland. They wanted their own trump person in that. So there is a lot of tension within the party. Meanwhile, the democratic hardy, a lot of outrage from the Clinton Campaign to the bernie Sanders Campaign, which there should be. Bernie sanders won the New Hampshire primary by 22 points of said the Clinton Campaign is a bit humbled and they know they need the Sanders Campaign. About thes talk campaign. We heard from our, from illinois, who said he cannot and will not support trump. Campaign moving along with trump as the presumptive nominee . James kelly ayotte was where marc kirk was just yesterday. Where she position will vote for donald trump, but she will not support donald trump is a candidate. She will not endorse them. So you have to parse the language the high not. Troublehad a lot of with a lot of phrases donald trump has said going back to last summer and she has also commented she did not appreciate his remarks about the judge involved in the Trump University case. She has very much distanced herself. If donald trump continues to go down this path making racist statements and political missteps, this is a problem for kelly ayotte to make distance herself further. Trump when donald campaigns in the state, where is kelly ayotte . James kelly did not endorse anyone because she did not want to offend anyone. I do not expect kelly ayotte to be anywhere near donald trump and he is coming back in a couple days for a fundraiser and i do not imagine kelly ayotte is going to be there at all. Steve lets talk about the New Hampshire republican running. Hassan, this is one of the most marquis races in history. One of the most closely watched in the country. One of the most high profile races among two women in United States history. You have the sitting governor against a sitting u. S. Senator. Both while men. As wellliked. Wellliked. This race doesnt matter. Obviously, it could impact to u. S. Senate next year. It is a race without much definition right now other than the fact there is a lot of third party money being spent. They are raising a lot of money. The early definition about taken has really not lays. It is an unsettled political year. Steve for our radio audience, we are talking to james via skype. He is the political reporter for the boston globe. The slogan, live free or die. For barryhat play in johnson, competing in New Hampshire for votes . James we talk about the Donald Trump Campaign being padlock. Gary johnson has a bout three staffers already on the ground in New Hampshire. He is not technically on the ballot yet. The job is to get enough signatures to get ballot access. There are a lot of people in New Hampshire who think it gary johnson will do better in New Hampshire than any other state in the country. Atalked to a republican and democrat who both believe gary johnson could top 10 in New Hampshire. Which would have a Significant Impact on whether or not Hillary Clinton wins the state. She probably would win the state if gary johnson were able to get 10 and dont forget his running mate is a former Massachusetts Governor wellknown in New Hampshire. Expect him to spend a lot of time in the state. Live free or die state, that means the libertarian if those kind that is so ingrained in the Political Parties that the Libertarian Party has not been recognized in New Hampshire since 2002. The democrats are fairly libertarian, sore the republicans. Different issues of the state. When it comes to the president ial race with two like annlike candidates Hillary Clinton a donald trump, gary johnson has an interesting path. Governor weld is in boston today doing some fundraising. Expect to see him in New Hampshire a lot. Steve james covers politics for the boston globe. His work is Available Online at the boston globe. Com. Are back live. Thank you for watching cspan. One more primary to go in the district of columbia with 20 delegates next tuesday night. We will bring you the results from that contest. We would like to hear what you think is the race stands tonight. Clintonrump and hillary and the presumptive nominees. We are waiting to hear what Bernie Sanders has to say about an hour and 10 minutes from now. You are watching people at his rally in santa monica, california. Told us twohas things. He will be returning to vermont to assess his situation after tonights results and earlier he sent out a note to supporters and washington, d. C. , encouraging them to vote for him in next weeks primary. Interesting to see how of this plays out. To take more phone calls and look at more tweets. We will have more interviews with reporters in swing states as we wait for senator sanders. Be onniper numbers will screen. Join in the conversation. Next up is jennifer in california. Republican, you are on the air. Guest people votet why for Bernie Sanders. I do not think his politics are right for america but i get why they are voting for him. I do not understand why anyone is voting for Hillary Clinton. She is a liar. She has been known to be a liar. And she continually gets these votes and is deemed the person who is the front runner for the democrats. And i get it. She is a career politician. Tier and amerco we are all screaming. We are tired of the same thing. We are tired of it. But we keep voting in these career politicians and that is exactly what Hillary Clinton is. I am for trump. I did not want him in the beginning. By at least he is beholden nobody. Clintons administration would be completely filled with her making her pockets and contributions to everyone where she got money to get this election. It is crazy to me. She wasatched her since bills wife and the first lady. She has always been this person who is constantly trying to pursue her agenda. The fact that she uses the women scarred. When we have our first women candidate i never want them to say, i will be the first woman president. I have two daughters. We have our first woman president , i would like them to be able to know she never used her the card to get the presidency. She used her intelligence, integrity, accomplishments. Not just because she has is a woman. Host thanks. Jody has a different point of view. Black men gotc, the vote before women got the vote. Tory repeating itself next caller. Color i dont understand a lot of the prior colors that made the statement against Hillary Clinton. I mean, as a therapist, you know, we know that most people in the world, specifically in america, none of us are perfect. We are all human beings. What i like about Hillary Clinton is she is willing to look at the mistake she has made and make the modifications she needs to make to include all people. To racism hasat never been addressed here in america. So for her to stand up up there thatlearly tell the world racism needs to be addressed in an efficient way i love you and i also love the fact that she called out donald trump or using coded language and simulating that the traditional way of doing things for a particular group of people is what represents america as being get great. I give her some much credit for exposing that type of language because it is that type of that has gotten the america where it is today in terms of device of this. I also believe in terms of divisiveness. I also think she can make right what bill clinton did wrong, although the africanamerican vote did go for him and we still support him. But he did make some mistakes in terms of the high incarceration rate for African American males. I think Hillary Clinton knows is at a time in her life when she recognizes our mistakes and that she is willing to put back what was wrongly make it right. I am in African American male, of course, as you may hear through my boys. But i recently became a graduate and got my masters degree in social work and i also was a you know went through the hard streets in pittsburgh and new york as well. But, you know, we need someone who is going to not ignore the africanamerican high incarceration rate. Believe it or not, africanamerican males, none of us was born with the fact that we are going to grow up and be a drug dealer or gang member or on drugs. Economicalocial problem and we need a america to stand up for us. To stand up for all of us. Call. Thank you for your pittsburgh, pennsylvania, democrat. Steve you mentioned senator bill sanders will be in washington, d. C. , on tuesday. Or those of you following what is happening with the metro, a lot of repairs. Roll call reporting that metro will need to deploy extra personnel to the stadium armory station to deal with the senator Bernie Sanders rally which will take place on a thursday. We will be covering it as part of our road to the white house coverage. Saying theyb are expected to talk to hillary at sometime tonight. That could he going on now. Lets took eight take a look at results in california. It hillary taking a lead with 5 of the vote reporting. Hillary clinton with 60 3 of the vote almost. 36. 1 . Sanders with for the last three weeks, senator sanders has been campaigning across california and Hillary Clinton yesterday. With some oflems the voting booths in los angeles. It was chaos. Rocha machines, incomplete boehner rolls leaving some wondering if their ballots will count. More Details Online at l. A. Times. Com. Will have ayou, we democratic senator with the retirement of Barbara Boxer. Mullah harris and Loretta Sanchez leading in the California Senate primary and those two democrats will face each other at the polling trend continues and of course, it mirrors some of the coverage going on today. These are the early numbers. You can follow that online at lattimes. Com. Host back to twitter. We will show you a picture of a crowd waiting for their candidate to address them it about one hour from now. Gar in santahan monica, california. And andn texas, dependent hello, johnny. Caller i will start off by saying i think Bernie Sanders is an outstanding servant of the people. You can count on one hand the kind of caliber person Bernie Sanders is and for that reason i have changed from burning or bust too, believe it or not, bernie or trump. I loved Bernie Sanders and his policy so much that i am going to vote for trump. I will explain. Under this context, the most important thing the American People can do is understand we have constitutional in article and that allows us free Fair Elections by calling a convention and making an amendment to the constitution to give us that. Our primaries right now, the democratic primaries, are set up so that most are closed to the Democratic Party and open in the general. That means if Hillary Clinton is winning all of these states, it means that independents are not showing up to vote. Are not the counted. Election, they will be counted so it is my thinking, you can call it twisted logic but i get this from a professor who had a in my belief Queens College about eight years ago about how it is that we get an amendment to the constitution to guarantee free and Fair Elections and he made a point. If lord me when i first read it. He actually said that we as progressives as what i would call populists, not progressives but populists, those who believe what Bernie Sanders believes, in order for us to get to that point we have to make it very clear to the American People that we have to really struggle policies has wing to hit hard. The idea they are going to take your Social Security away. The idea youre going to go broke when you go to college. We have to stand up, wake up, and fight harder. Under that context, the context that we have is the only real true way and my mind to get free and Fair Elections is through article five of our constitution and the fact that the way the democratic send republicans have set up the primaries, this makes sense to me. Bustourage my burning or people to turn to trump. Vote trump. It is kind of what you call tough love but i think by doing so, we will truly a wake and in and get rid of the apathy and america and get people really involved. I believe Bernie Sanders is just the start. It is not going to and there. We have an update on the schedule. A as said earlier, there was conversation with clinton and the white house has issued a statement that says that they talked to Bernie Sanders and i what weshare with you saw in santa monica. The president thanked sanders for issuing statements on at the senators request, the president and the senator will meet on thursday to continue the conversation about the significant issues with the election and the president looks forward to continuing the conversation with sanders on how to build on the work he has done to engage voters and to build enthusiasm in the months ahead. The statement was issued a short while ago. Obviously, this rally is still scheduled and sanders requested this meeting with the president and it will take place on thursday. Lots of developments on what is next for sanders and what he will say in the next hour. Thank you. We are going back to telephone calls. The crowd is getting pretty excited. Eye ongoing to keep an if the schedule changes. Welcome to this conversation. I am thrilled that hillary has got the nomination for the Democratic Party. Do you want to tell us why . That a lot of of people are against the establishment in this year. Withnally, i want someone us. Its. Thank you. Here is someone who feels differently on twitter. Next up is ron. He is in florida. Caller how are you. You . Thank you for taking my call. I am a disabled Police Officer and i have been living here for it hurtsdown here and me. When obama got in office, it is like he did not give disability out to people on Social Security. They are racist. We got no race. Raise. I am watching our country fall apart under the Obama Administration and clinton and another disaster and that is how i feel. I want america to not make a mistake. I know that donald trump will save Social Security and he will do the right thing. A lot of people are putting him down. I know he is not racist. I know that he likes muslims. I know he likes black people. I know he likes the spanish people. He is not going to make a mistake. He says what he feels and what can we do . The man is really a legend to me. I was for bernie. I want people to know it will never be clinton. I think that she is not trustworthy and that she is a husbandd her and her are going to ruin everybody and keep going on with obama and it is going to be another term and we are going to lose. I think you will find out, when trump comes in, she will lose. I love america. God bless america. God bless donald trump. Hillary. Ng to beat next up, another battleground state interview. Jeff schapiro is a columnist for the Richmond Times dispatch and is joining us. Thank you for being with us. Lets talk about the virginia demographics. Virginia is one of half a dozen battleground states, a state where population growth and dramatic shifts in demographics have turned this into a different state. It is one of the most demographic shifts where this is where politics are dominated by comeheres. They moved to the state and politicalr own traditions and it has had a moderating effect on a historicallyconservative state. Most of the comeheres are in the crescent that extends south east and terminates at virginia beach. That is where the votes are and where the power is. A key county is loudon county. Why is this a bellwether . There are two. William. And prince they are showing many characteristics that other jurisdictions have had. Residents and of they are increasinglysuburban, dominated by comeheres and latinos. Evident in the outer suburbs and it has contributed and it is not possible for a inocrat to run and win virginia, unless they carry both of those jurisdictions. We talked to you about the loss of eric cantor. On theidual impact Republican Party . Yes. The Republican Party, in isginia and elsewhere, it and he will beal ,enominated without opposition with a good number of eric cantors people supporting him. The state was carried by donald trump. A number of delegates were doled out. The ted cruz people use the organizational edge to prevail. Not long after, ted cruz dropped out. There were a couple of primaries. Several, actually. One of them is being watched closely in the Second District and it is anchored by Virginia Scott is retiring. Randy forbes lost his seat arough redistricting and congressional plan was thrown out. Mr. Forbes has been thrown out will notaid that he move to the Second District. The constitution does not require that people live in the district. Inhabitants ofbe the state. This is being watched closely. The primaries are not until a week from today. Lets talk about the national race. Virginia has senators who are talked about as potential running mates. Also, the governor is a longterm a longtime friend of the clinton. Ir friend could success select a successor. How will all of this play out into the speculation . The senators are under , the road to and the white house runs through virginia. Both would bring different skills to the National Ticket one mentioned was more often and one of them is that he, as a freshman senator, was defeated by obama in 2008 and change the rules of how the country goes to war. There are a number of wars and clinton is viewed as hawkish. There are executive skills that both could bring to the National Ticket. Spanish well. Politico once joked that kaines spanish accent is stronger than s, who has also been mentioned for the vice presidency. Who is in the stronger position in virginia . The republicans would tell you that the democrats are and mcculloch, a member of the council, really exercised emphasized building and maintaining a robust organizational presence. Part of this is the executive franchised and enfranchised felons in virginia. They came out today with a snapshot of donations to the candidates, clinton, sanders, and trump. And, i think that sanders had over 30,000 donors and clinton be in000 and trump will rally thank you for your time. Thank you for having me. You are watching the live primary coverage and this is the speechwn to the sanders that we are expecting. Let us show you what it is like. Every once in a while, there is it of excitement and we will continue to take your phone calls and we will replay clintons address from tonight there have been successes in the primaries. Lets go back to telephone calls in dallas. Hello. Are you there . All right. We are going to move on. Hello. Hello. Thank you for taking my call. I am a registered republican and i am voting for Hillary Clinton and i think that she is more president ial and that she will do more to enhance the Affordable Care act and i think and it needsthing to be worked on and we have a better chance of keeping what we need. I was briefly on that trump train and i appreciate the fact that he has brought so many out to vote and that is a good thing. Wherere playing an ad donald trump answers a question about women who have abortions be punishedshould and he says that women should be punished for having the abortion. That hit me wrong. Enough, being punished if they have to resort to Something Like that. It totally turned me off from him. Said, i amnt, like i a registered republican and i have voted republican in the past. I voted for obama and, to be frank, if he can run a third term, i would vote for him. Thank you. Next, twitter. Is a written that tonight historic night for the democrats next, a california democrat. You are on the air. Thank you for taking my call. I am for hillary. I think that there should be a tariff on all items from china and other countries to enable the usa to compete. Sharing yourfor opinions. Next is anthony. Thank you for taking my call. I used to be a democrat and i obama a republican when had his first term and he is and he has never generated any jobs. We needracist and somebody with a business sense. Run the country is a business and we need somebody who has Business Savvy and we have all these politicians who have been and we for over 50 years have never been able to get a wall. By now, we should have had a being infested by too many people that do not pay taxes and it is getting to the middle class person is like, what bernie says, going to pay for this and that. You and i know that the middle class people are going to have to pay for part or all of that. 1 of the millionaires cannot sustain that. Everybody is going to be paying for everything. Up, you hadrowing to work for what you wanted and they want to give everything away for free now. They are tired of giving their money away to people who do not want to work and do not want to participate. It is a reason why we are having this. We have all of this uproar because people are tired of the status quo. Thanks. 19 minutes since the polls close in california and we have additional results. Harris wins the california primary for the senate race and sanchez is a distant second. I want to share with you that this is the conservative columnist for the new york post. Lets look at the results on the democratic side. Clinton and sanders have been vying for delegates in this state. With 11 of the vote, Hillary Clinton maintains a significant lead, over 62 of the vote, compared to 36. 6 for sanders. The other news to come is a statement from the white house that says that sanders had a meeting with the president or will have a meeting with the president. Cori is Available Online and he is in denver. Lets talk about why it has become a battleground state. We talk about independent and unaffiliated voters. Race. Have a big senate up . Will the republicans put he is up for reelection and there are five republicans who are currently in a primary right been veryat has interesting here. They can go through the caucus he is in el paso commissioner. Candidatesour other who got on the ballot by gathering petitions around the exceptnd all of them, for one, had to sue their way onto the ballot. Were five republicans and one went through the grassroots process. Three of them had to sue their way onto the ballot. Former quarterback, and maker, a former city councilman, and i cover this race and have a hard time remembering all the people on the ballot. And,lection is on the 28th in colorado, it is allmail. Spendorado, people can time and figure out who they are and who they want to vote for. What does this tell you about the opponent and how they are preparing for the general election. He has millions of dollars in the bank and the democratic trying to tie them to donald trump. I do not think they want to come out and say which one they are worried about more. Candidate or one another and try to tie them to a crazy thing said the day. One of the superdelegates is governor hickenlooper and has been mentioned as a possible running mate. Name rising. Hickenlooper is tied to the oil and gas industry. Said that he thinks the train has left the station and he acts like he does not think he is on a short list and i am sure that he likes the attention. There are a lot of politicians with aspirations for hire offices. Is on the steps of the state house and denouncing the attack on the federal judge. Lets talk about the organization and the ground game. Donald trump skipped colorado. The caucuses in march were really only a democratic affair for president , anyways. During the state assembly, ted cruz just crushed the operation and ted cruz came down to the state assembly and he snapped up all the delegates easily and donald trump complained about colorado having a rigged election and they were very upset. He has probably angered some much, in are, pretty the ted cruz camp. Stadium, what you think he could do in colorado as a surrogate for Hillary Clinton. I am not sure. Colorado went for Bernie Sanders by 19 points and that was interesting. The entire democratic delegation was for clinton and the senator is up for reelection and he is for clinton. So is john hickenlooper. The grassroots democrats went for sanders. It will be interesting, depending on what obama decides to do. He gave a speech to the air force academy this week and it will be interesting to see if he does anything. They will see if they are focusing more on it a la measure , which would make colorado the first state to have universal health care. Will that affect turnout . Those in need ballot measure see this a lot and it has galvanized conservative opposition. Organizing in colorado. You talk to the party yourtives and what is overall sense of this . It is kind of sleepy. The republican primary is the biggest race going on and i was at a Candidate Forum the other day and three candidates showed up with five people on the ballot and they could not remember the other names of the two. I talked to a Republican Party chair last week and he could not name all on the ballot. Us from denver. Thank you for your time. Liveu are watching the coverage. Thes new jersey and strong win. Th a what theyerested in we are going to in its entirety. Next, we will show you clinton from earlier tonight. This is one that you have taken with me and am grateful to you and it is wonderful to be here. Be hard to see tonight. All standing under a Glass Ceiling right now. Worry. We arent smashings one. Reached ayou, we have milestone for the first time. A woman will be the nominee. Tonight, the victory is not about one person. If a long suit generations of women and men who struggled and sacrificed and made the moment possible. In our country, it started here in new york at a place called seneca falls. Determined group of women and men came together with an idea that Women Deserve equal forth and they said it with a declaration of sentiments and it was the first time in Human History that that kind of declaration occurred and we all much and all know so tonight belongs to all of you. I want to thank the volunteers, the community leaders, the , those is supported those who hadand a resounding victory tonight. Thank you for talking to year neighbors and making contributions. Strong majority and, after tonight, a majority of pledged delegates. I want to thank all of the people across the country who took the time to talk with me. I have learned about you when the persistent problems of the unfinished project of america and so many feel like you are out there on your own and nobody has your back. You iu and i feed see you. As your president , i will always have your back. I want to congratulate senator sanders for the Extraordinary Campaign. He has spent a long career in Public Service and he is exciting millions of voters and young people. Let there be no mistake. Sanders, his campaign, and the vigorous the eight that we have incomes and increase of word mobility, it has good for the Democratic Party in america. This has then a hardfought campaign and, whether you supported me, sanders, or a republican, we all need to keep working for a stronger america. I know that it never feels good to put your heart into a cause or a candidate that you believe short to come up short. , we have aahead battle that awaits and we all want the economy with more opportunity and less inequality, where mall street can never wrecked mainstreet again. Thatnt a government listens to people and gets money out of politics. We all want a society that is tolerant, and as if, and fair. We all believe that america succeeds, if more share in our prosperity and if more people have a voice in our political system. Cooperation is bear the conflict and unity is better than division. We believe that bridges are utter than walls. It is a simple, but powerful idea. We believe that we are more powerful together and the stakes are high and the choice is clear. Beald trump is unfit to president. He is not just trying to build a wall between america and mexico. Thosetrying to wall off there. Backwards iserica his coat. There is a time where the opportunity in the dignity was served. He promises supporters and economy he cannot recreate. We want to write the next we want to lift everyone who has been left out and left behind. Make aserve a chance to new beginning. When donald trump says that a bornnguished judge who is in indiana cannot do his job , oruse of mexican heritage he mocks a reporter with he calls womenr takes. It goes against everything we stand for. We want an america where everyone is treated with respect and where the work is valued. Clear that down trump does not believe we are stronger together and he has abused primary opponents and attacked the press for asking tough questions, denigrating muslims and immigrants, wanting to win by stoking fear and rubbing salt in wounds and reminding us of how great he is. Shoulde believe that we lift each other up and not tear each other down. We believe that we need to give americans a raise and not complain that working wages are too high. We have to help the young people struggling with student debt not pile more with the giveaways to the superwealthy. We believe that we need to make america a Clean Energy Superpower of the toy first not insist that Climate Change is a hoax. To be great, we cannot be small. We have to be as vague as the are a fairminded country that teaches our children that this is a nation that is indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. It is not just for people who look a certain way, worship a certain way, for all. Indivisible. This election is different. Is really about who we are as a nation. It is about coming together to say we are at our than this. If you agree, i hope you will join us in a few weeks. Andill meet in philadelphia those early patriots new that they would all rise or fall together and that is more true than ever. Our campaign will take this message to every corner. We are stronger when our economy works for everyone. There is a real commitment to all people. We are stronger when we Work Together with our allies around the world and we are stronger when we respect each other, listed to each other, and act with a sense of common purpose. We are stronger when every community realizes that we are in this together. It takes a village to raise a child. And, to build a stronger future for us all. I learned this from my mother, who was my rock, from the day i us. Born to the day she left they somehow managed to not become broken. She taught me to never back down which turned out to be pretty good. This would have been her birthday. And, on the on 1919 day my mother was born in was passing anss amendment to the constitution. This amendment finally gave women the right to vote. I wish my mother could be here tonight and see what a wonderful mother. I wish she could see her daughter become the democratic nominee. There are still ceilings to break for all of us. Do not let anyone tell you that great things cannot happen in america. The barriers can come down and justice and equality can win. Moved slowly at times. Thanks to generations of now you are writing a new chapter of this story and this story is about making sure there are no ceilings or limits. Join the campaign and contribute what you can. Help us organize in all 50 states. Call you make will move us forward. Absorbtake a moment to the history here. What i care about most is the history that our country has yet to write. Grandchildrennd will look back at the choices we theabout to make and and thees we live by end of the primaries is only the beginning of the work that we are called to do. Together, we will rise together. We are stronger together. Case go out and make that to america. Thank you. God bless you. God bless america. Hillary clinton and her supporters earlier in brooklyn the historic event was where the woman became the presumptive nominee of one of the two major parties in the United States. You are watching primary coverage. Coming up next, we understand that Bernie Sanders was in santa monica. To steve for more results. We thought that it would be interesting to look at the results. N who came in second . Lets look at the results. Donald trump wins. In california, john kasich comes in second. Arnold schwarzenegger said that he was voting for john kasich in the primary and ted cruz came in a distant third. In montana, trump wins in the primary. Looking at who came in second, ted cruz. Christiersey, chris ran for president and endorsed trump. Kasich came in second in the primaries. To new mexico, the results in crews coming in second in the new mexico primary. , with theakota results in that state, trump wins and crews comes in second at 17 . Clinton continues to hold onto the lead in california. This is 14 of the vote is at 37 and sanders of the vote. Clinton and sanders are in a close race right now. 46. 7 and, nton is at in new jersey, as said earlier, clinton is the winner and easily is winning in that state, compared to 36. 7 for Bernie Sanders. Withw mexico, the results clinton winning the new Mexico Democratic primary and, in south dakota, the other primary been held today is clinton winning 51 of the votend sanders was clearly the winner in the democratic caucus. Mark is joining us live and he is in los angeles tonight. Thank you for being with us. go to the story. Declares anton milestone. It is the significance of capturing a nomination this evening. History. Clinton is said that the first woman to ever claim the nomination. She is a nominee tonight. It is funny that people thought that california would be make or break. It is over. I do not want to diminish the importance of the state. They called the race for clinton. Bernieurgey her and played a game of makebelieve. Afterwards, clinton called it. Now, we are just waiting. There was some speculation this could suppress the vote. So far, a fairly comfortable lead. It is important to point out ist, what we are looking at the overwhelming majority and clinton is expected to do very they tend to be older party regulators party regulars. The thinking has been wrong. Clinton goes back to a sizable lead with the early vote and the question is how she will hold on , as the later votes come in. There is Riverside County and it areaeen good in the latino right there. Clinton has huge margins and is the bay area. Again, it is very early and way too early to make any projections. People are just waiting for votes to come in. We are looking at the scene were sanders is expected to speak and 510 minutes. Say do you think he will when he meets with the president . I do not think that he is going to drop out or suspend his campaign. When we talk about all that he i should sayhed, that californians enjoyed a bona fide president ial campaign. You can argue that clinton didnt need to win california. She did not want to lose it. Byre are appearances candidates and surrogates. Would modulate his message and there were moments tonight about which tones he takes and if he directs the fire at trump. Will he use this to take a shot at clinton . Explain the senate race. We do not know who the democrat will be. We do not. It looks like it could be sanchez. Some years back, the voters decided that they were tired of hip and there was a decision to have a top two primary. If candidates are of the same party, they will have to appeal to the middle. We have seen some anecdotal evidence of this working. Lawmakers are running and taking a more centrist approach and this was the effort by california voters to move towards the middle. Harris is an old blind democrat and i would not be surprised to andher with this runup sanchez, if she is running to her fellow democrat, she will appeal towards the middle. We are back and joint live from los angeles. Thank you for checking in with us. Thank you. Back to you. Thank you so much for that up date othe california politics. Bernie sanders is in california. We are expecting him at the podium. It is two minutes before 1 00, eastern. This is when he will begin his speech. We will continue to take telephone calls in reaction to the results. Jonah is watching us. You are on. How are you doing . Thank you for waiting. I was interested in some of the other candidates that dropped out earlier. Supported carson. I thought he was smart and that he had good things to say. I do not think that donald trump can win, unless he makes ben carson the Vice President ial pick. On the democratic side, i like the Bernie Sanders had to say and i feel like Hillary Clinton needs to pick Bernie Sanders to win the voters who feel disenfranchised. States will be important. Florida is always important. I feel like the midwestern states, like ohio, possibly indiana, pennsylvania, they will win the election. If trump cannot win over more he will notink that be able to win. Thank you. On next up is wayne. Caller i have a question for you. Would you agree that donald history. Everything about him is under tremendous scrutiny by the media and others. Susan certainly the scrutiny increases. With the nomination. Caller i was a democrat, i recently switched to republican because by now i would have assumed that and a hispanic, a black, a muslim, other races, people that work for him or did business with him would have been found by these 20 reporters for the Washington Post or all of these other people looking to get him knocked out of there. When i did the research, other than the women that we both know a washington story, no one. Not one person has the media found or project did from any of these ethnic groups that show that he is a bad guy. That is whats won me over. Ith all those stories that to know are true about hillary, stealing the white House Furniture to her husbands , nobody, not one employee and i have employees so dont think i would have that tough luck to come forth with a racial slur or not get paid. I think that has to be really looked out because the media, which is controlled by the left in my mind, would have exposed that right now. Susan thank you. Cspanter, all of the personal invective and none speak about her policy. Sexism. Next up, josephine, a democrat. I wanted to bring up a topic i have not heard anyone speak about yet which is, Bernie Sanderss rise to the nomination was due mostly in part to social media in online media. His campaign is mainly directed towards big business and local corporations. My theory is that if Hillary Clinton or donald trump becomes president , i am curious as to onlineppens for media and social media, because the people who are lobbying for our congressmen and senators are corporations and i feel like someone like senator sanders has been a threat to that end i feel as if they would want to stop someone like am from coming to a rise again so i hypothesize that in the future we could see something that will arise probably through the patriot act claiming defense of our security and trying to limit the internet so that someone like senator sanders does not come to rise again. Susan thank you, it josephine in eugene, oregon. To night, isy there no transition, a twitter. Next up is sarah in laurel, maryland. Caller thank you for taking my call. An independent and ive voted for both parties, democrats for most times. I do not believe in exclusive this with two parties, even George Washington said he was against the idea of parties because i think this election made ann how party has idea of teams where were forced to pick candidates whether we believe them or not because they are on a Certain Party and it is on the republican side you have that playing out where even though tribe is clearly not for president , you have the leaders going for him because of party loyalty. On the democratic side, you have people going for hillary even she is veryfeel untrustworthy. So we have this idea were people that i feel like i just feel like there is an issue where this election is about giving a false narrative where we have a restricted amount of people we are supposed to choose. With hillary, i feel she was pushed on us. She was not challenged. They restricted many of the debates. They gave them encore viewing days. They assumed she was the nominee multiple times and she has changed her ideas multiple times to feed into what people wanted to hear. Bernie sanders, he built his campaign from the ground up. People in the beginning did not think he was going to make it. I feel we should have an election where we go on ideas, not just because somebody is in a particular party and we feel like we have to vote against that idea. That is my idea. Twitter, this tweet diane where he have both donald trump and hillary. I cannot fully trust a man who repeats himself too often. Next up is michael, a democrat. Hello, michael. As for as the Republican Party goes, it seems like in six of the last seven general election as far as popular votes go, a very losing ticket. I mean, as far as Republican Party, you cannot base it on bullying. From the day one when obama got an office, it was nothing but the party of no. Country, i guess democrats, it is tough to vote in midterm elections and other elections. Otherwise it is going to be a perfect stoning. You cannot just vote in general elections. I am trying to say, everybody has to look at all of the talking points. They cannot live in one world or the other world. They cannot live on one certain news channel or another. I guess that is completing my comment. They keep. Next up is robert in humble, texas. As we are waiting for Bernie Sanders. Go ahead. Caller and does not really matter about republicans. Hillary is not fed, bernie is not fit, donald is not fit. If you cannot be united in the white house, then the whole country cannot be united because we are the ones that pay them and so if they do not want to listen to us as the people of the United States and try to help us help them, then there is nothing we can do about it no matter who you put in office. If you put Hillary Clinton and, she can tell you all day she will do this and do that and then an office and not be able to do any of it because the republicans dont want to help. And vice versa for mr. Trump and mr. Sanders. So we have to be united in the right side has to go to left and left us to go to write. You have to reach across the aisle. If you would a poke and prod and say i wont do it your way, you dont my way, we will not get anywhere. We will be stagnant. Susan thank you. On twitter and says, republicans will have a hard time controlling tribe and that is what they fear. Next up is bill. Bill, you are on. A suggestion, in idea. How about donald trump picking Condoleezza Rice for Vice President. She has foreignpolicy experience, she knows russia, she has helped manage the search in aled to a rack reasonably satisfactory condition after all of the problems mr. Bush ad that president w bush out. A littleto me that as of a republican myself, that might do an awful lot to cause some concerns that perhaps, i dont know the words. But it seems to me she represents the very class of the sensible center that colin powell talked about and that is my comment. Susan next color. What is on your mind . At thisi was looking for two years. We just got through what i call a donothing congress. Majority republican that did not get anything done. Now we are looking at this trap situation. Is it going to be a continuation . One candidate which is trump trying to build a wall and you have a nether candidate, hillary, trying to build bridges. In, it is as simple as that. I havewanted to say that a brotherinlaw that is unstable in all ways and i see that is trump. Bush, when he became president after reagan, he was asked, are you going to continue reaganomics and his comment was, if it is not working it does not fit me. So i am thinking of here, obama was able to help us get from a failed economy, whether it be in the housing crisis, whether it was in the job crisis, whether it was the banks. Just, the whole in economy was down in the dumps. In t was able to raise the state. I do not know why republicans that. Urned a blind eye to if it was left like it was, we would have been talking about more than just hillary and trump. So i wanted to comment on that and also wanted to look at the fact that i do believe trump is to a lot ofe oil smart republicans and they buying it. The can is they usually say we only vote for principle, not popularity but now they change it. You, willie, a democrat. And on twitter, it says it is time for bernie supporters to clinton. I am with her Steve Hillary is currently california over senator Bernie Sanders. Montana is the other state that has not been called. We have been following the twitter feed from people with Bernie Sanders. He is in los angeles. The motorcade leaving a short while a way to get to santa monica. It is a short drive from los angeles to santa monica so you see the crowd beginning to linger and wait for senator sanders. We will see that within the next half hour. You, steve. While we are waiting for senator sanders, were going to listen once again to Donald Trumps remarks from earlier tonight in westchester, new york. Mr. Trump thank you. Thank you. Wow. Thank you very much. Hello. Begin byike to montana, the people of south dakota, new mexico, new jersey, and california. We had a big, big day with some big numbers coming in. Very big numbers. I am truly honored by your support. Together, we accomplished what everybody thought was impossible. We are only Getting Started and it is going to be beautiful. Remember that. Tonight, we close one chapter in history and begin another. Received more primary votes than any gop campaign in history, no matter who it is, who they are, we received more votes. This is a great feeling. A great feeling. To mes not a testament but i testament to all of the people who believed real change, not obama change, but real change. [applause] mr. Trump you have given me the honor to lead the Republican Party to victory this fall. We are going to do it. We are going to do it, folks. Were going to do it. I understand the responsibility of carrying the middle and i will never, ever let you down. People, work, too many blood, sweat, tears. I will not let you down. I will make you proud of your party and our movement. And that what is that is what it is, a movement. Recent polls show than i am eating hillary and for all of her tremendous problems and tremendous mistakes, we expect our lead to continue to grow, and grow substantially. ] heers and applause mr. Trump to everyone who voted for me throughout this campaign, i want to thank you very, very much. [applause] mr. Trump to those who voted for someone else and either party, i will work hard to earn your support and i will work very hard to earn not support. To all of those Bernie Sanders voters who have been left out in the cold by a rigged system of superdelegates, we welcome you with open arms. [cheers and applause]] mr. Trump and, by the way, the terrible trade deal that bernie was so vehemently against and he is right on that, will be taken care of far better than anyone ever thought possible and that is what i do. Were going to have fantastic trade deals. Were going to start making money and bringing in jobs. Now, i know some people say i am too much of a fighter. Peace, erence is always however and i have shown that. I have shown that for a long time. I built in extraordinary business on relationships and deals that benefit all parties involved, always. My goal is always, again, to bring people together. What if i am forced to fight for something i really care about, i will never, ever back down and our country will never, ever back down. [applause] mr. Trump thank you. Family. Ought for my i have thought for my business. I thought for my employees. And now, i am going to fight for you, the American People. Like nobody has ever fought before. [applause]] mr. Trump into am not a politician fighting. Ime. Youre going to see some row good things happening. Just remember this i am going to be your champion. I am going to be a americas champion. Because, you see, this election is not about republicans or democrats it is about who runs this country. The special interests or the people. And i mean the American People. Every Election Year, politicians promise change. Obama promised change and it did not work out too well. And, every year they failed to deliver. Why would politicians want to change a system that is totally to keep them in power. That is what they are doing, folks. Why would politicians want to change a system that has made them and their friends very, very wealthy . System bya rigged winning with overwhelming support, the only way you could have done it. Landslides all over the country with every democrat on track to 37 primary caucus victories in a field that began with 17 very talented people. After years of disappointment, there is one thing we all have learned. We cant fix the rigged system by relying on very and i mean this so, so strongly one of the very people who read it. And they rigged it. And do not ever think anything differently. We cant solve our problems by counting on the politicians who created our problems. Turned thes have politics of personal and richman into an art form for themselves. Into annal enrichment art form for themselves. Applause] mr. Trump they have made hundreds of millions of dollars selling access. Favors. Selling government contracts, and i mean hundreds of millions of dollars. Sec. Clinton even did all of the work on a totally illegal drive it server. How she isbout getting away with this, folks, nobody understands. Designed to keep our corrupt dealings out of the public record, putting the security of the entire country at risk and a president and a corrupt system is totally texting her. Not to write. I am going to totally protecting her. That is not right. I am going to give a major speech one day next week and we are going to discuss all of the things that have taken place with the clintons. I think youre going to find it very informative and very, very interesting. [applause] mr. Trump i wonder if the press attend. T to who knows . Hillary clinton turned the state department into her private hedge fund. The russians, the saudis, the chinese, all give money to bill and hillary and got favorable treatment in return. It is a sad day in america when foreign governments with deep pockets have more influence in our own country then our great citizens. I did not need to do this. It is not easy, believe me. I did not have to do it but i felt i had to get back to our wonderful country which has been so good to me and to my family. Applause] trump i have mr. Traveled to many of our states and seen the suffering in peoples eyes. I have visited communities in , new jersey, pennsylvania, connecticut, and ohio, whose manufacturing jobs have virtually disappeared. In embarrassment to our country. It is horrible. The victims of illegal immigration. Moms into dads have had to bury their own children because of people who should not have been in the country. Remember it, folks. Remember it. Applause] mr. Trump i visited the crumbling cities and the struggling schools. I have seen our dilapidated airports, bridges. Ive compared them to other countries where we see facilities so far superior to bes, it is really not to believed. Hard to imagine what has happened to our country. America is getting taken apart these by piece. Auction and off rapidly. To the highest bidder. We are broke. We are broke. We are 19 trillion going quickly to 21 trillion. Our infrastructure is a disaster. Our schools are failing. Times are rising. People are scared. The last thing we need is Hillary Clinton in the white house or in extension of the obama disaster. [applause] trump trump] nting what a crowd, thank you very much. We love our country. We love our country. And we can turn this all around. We are going to do it by putting America First. Applause] mr. Trump that is the foundation for change that has been missing and missing for a long time. It is important to understand what America First means. It means on Foreign Policy, we will never enter into any conflict and less and makes us safer as a nation. It has to make a safer as a nation. This is the opposite of hillarys Foreign Policy, which invaded libya, destabilized iraq, unleashed isis and through syria into chaos and created the mass migration which is wreaking havoc delivered the world. And while putting a ran on the path to Nuclear Weapons and making them a dominant power while putting i rihanna on the path to Nuclear Weapons while the path to on Nuclear Weapons and making them a dominant power. You better hope i am president. On trade, America First means the American Worker will have his or her job protected from unfair foreign competition. What is happening there is absolutely a disgrace. No tpp. You are right about that. And what you mean is no pp. , and remember this, we are only going to have great trade deals, ok . We are only going to have that. We are only going to prove, as some he just said, the Transpacific Partnership, which is a disaster for our country. Almost as bad as nafta. Hased by build and 10 which just stripped our country of our factories and our manufacturing and moved to other places, in particular mexico. Deal fornot a great our country will not sign it. It has got to be great for our country, our community, for everybody in her because believe me, we are all suffering take league and it is getting worse. On energy policy, America First means opening up americas Great Potential to bring wealth and prosperity to our own workers including our wonderful and miners who have been absolutely and totally mistreated by this administration. Policy, America First means having tax and regulatory policies that keep jobs and wealth in the United States. Substantially lowering taxes for middleclass americans and businesses. Likewise, regulation which is struggling our economy which would be brought down from its present insane level. We will make it very, very good for our companies, for our small businesses, and for people who want to survive and do well in our country. [applause] mr. Trump on immigration policy, America First means protecting the jobs, wages, and security of American Workers. Whether first or 10th generation. The medical you are, we are going to protect her job because let me tell you, our jobs are being stripped from our country like we are babies. Of America First is that it brings us all together. Every American Worker from every background is entitled to the same benefits, protections, rights, and privileges. It is going to be that way. Now, the people in charge say things cannot change. I am here to tell you we have to change. We have no change. Have no choice. We have to change. We are going to put thank you were going to put america back to work. We are going to make our own products. Were going to put america back to work. [applause] we are going to rebuild our inner cities which are absolutely a shame and so sad. We are going to take your of our african American People that have done mistreated for so long. Applause] mr. Trump we are going to make you and your family safe, secure, and trust for us. Prosperous again. Together, we will put the American People first egg and. First again. First at again. First again. Our communities wealthy. We will make our cities safe again. Well make our country strong again. Ladies and gentlemen, we will make America Great again. Remember. Thank you. Thank you. Applause] mr. Trump thank you very much, everybody. Thank you. [music playing we are the champions] champions the my friends and we will keep on fighting till the end we are the champions we are the champions no time for losers annocer that was donald trump earlier tonight in new york. A live picture now from santa monica, california. We have been waiting a while now if youre with us or on cspan, for Bernie Sanders to come out and speak to a crowd gathered there. We expect the coverage to get underway shortly. Road to the white house on cspan. Announcer listening to some motown there as we wait for senator sanders to come out tonight in santa monica. A press release tonight, president obama called both sec. Clinton and Bernie Sanders. The president thanked both candidates for running an inspiring campaigns that inspired democrats. Mmigration reform [crowd chanting] sen. Sanders and, we will tell the billionaire class and Corporate America that they will start paying their fair share of taxes. And what we understand and what every one of us has always understood is that real change never occurs from the top on down. Always from the bottom on up. Whether you supported me or senator sanders or one of the republicans we all need to keep working toward a better fairer stronger america. [laughter] [cheers and applause] as we look ahead to the battle that awaits lets , remember all that unites us. We all want an economy with more opportunity and less inequality. Where wall street is never reck main street again. We want a government that listens to the people, not the power brokers which means getting unaccountable money out of politics. We all want a society that is tolerant, exclusivive and fair. We all believe americans succeed when more people share in our prosperity. When more people have a voice in our political systems. When more people can contribute to their communities. We believe that cooperation is better than conflict. Unity is better than division, empowerment is better than resentiment and bridges are better than walls. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton its a simple but powerful idea. We believe that we are stronger together and the stakes in this election are high and the choice is clear. Donald trump is temperament unfit to be president. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton hes not trying to build a wall between america and mexico. Hes trying to wall off americans from each other. When he says lets make America Great given, thats code for let take america backwards. [cheers and applause] back to a time when opportunity and dignity were reserved for some not all. Promising his supporters an economy he cannot recreate. We, however, we want to write the next chapter in american greatness. With a 21st century prosperity that lifts everyone whos been left out and left behind. Including those who may not vote for us but who deserves their chance to make a new beginning. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton when donald trump says, a distinguished judge born in indiana cant do his job because of his mexican heritage, or he mocks a reporter with disabilities, or calls women pigs, it goes against everything we stand for. Because we want an america where everyone is treated with respect and where their work is valued. Its clear that donald trump [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton its clear that donald trump doesnt believe we are stronger together. He has abused his primary opponents and their families, attacked the press for asking tough questions, denigrated muslims and immigrants. He wants to win by stoking fear and rubbing salt in wounds. Reminding us daily, just how great he is. [laughter] sec. Clinton well, we believe we should lift each other up. Not tear each other down. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton we believe we need to give americans a raise not complain that hard working people wages are too high. Clinton we believe we need to make america that Clean Energy Super Power of the 21st century. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton not insist that Climate Change is a hoax. To be great, we cant be small. We have to be as big as the values that define america and we are a big hearted, fair minded country. We teach our children that this is one nation under god with liberty and justice for all. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton not just for people who look a certain way or worship a certain way or love a certain way. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton this election is not, however, about the same old fights between democrats and republicans. This election is different. It really is about who we are as a nation. Its about millions of americans coming together to say, we are better than this. We wont let this happen in america. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton if you agree, whether youre democrat, republican or independent, i hope you will join us. In just a few weeks, we will meet in philadelphia which gave birth to our nation back in that hot summer of 1776. Those early patriots knew they would all rise or fall together. Well today that more true than ever. Our campaign will take this message to every corner of our country. Were stronger when our economy works for everyone, not just those at the top. With good paying jobs and good schools in every zip code and a real commitment to all families and all regions of our nation. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton we are stronger when we respect each other and act with a sense of common purpose. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton were stronger when every family and every Community Knows theyre not on their own. Because we are in this together. It really does take a village to raise a child. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton and to build a stronger future for us all. I learned this a long time ago from the biggest influence in my life, my mother. She was my rock from the day i was born until the day slept us. She overcame a childhood marked by abandonment and mistreatment. Somehow managed to become bitter or broken. My mother believed that life is about serving others. She taught me never to back down from a bully which turns out was pretty good. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton this past saturday would have been her 97th birthday. She was born on june 4, 1919 and some of you may know the significance of that date. On the very day my mother was born, in chicago, congress was passing the 19th amendment to the constitution. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton that amendment finally gave women the right to vote. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton i really wish my mother could be here tonight. I wish she could see what a wonderful mother chelsea as become and could meet our beautiful granddaughter. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton of course, i wish she could see her daughter become the Democratic Partys nominee. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton there are still ceilings to break for women and men for all of us. Dont let anyone tell you that great things cant happen in america. Barriers can come down. Justice and equality can win. Our history has moved in that direction slowly at times but unmistakably, thanks to generations of americans, who refused to give up or back down. Now you are writing a new chapter of that story. This campaign is about making sure there are no ceilings, no limits on any of us. This is our moment to come together. Please join our campaign, volunteer, go to hillaryclinton. Com, contribute, help organize in all 50 states. [cheers and applause] every phone call you make, every door you knock on, will move us forward. Im going to take a moment later tonight and the days ahead to fully absorb the history weve made here. [cheers and applause] but what i care about most is the history our country has yet to write. Our children and grandchildren will look back at this time at the choices we are about to make. The goals we will strive for, the principles we will live by. And we need to make sure that they can be proud of us. The end of the primary is only the beginning of the work were called to do. If we stand together, we will rise together because we are stronger together. [cheers and applause] sec. Clinton lets go out and make that change for america.
