This week on 2024 campaign trail, we are in South Carolina taking a look at the final arguments republican president ial candidates made to voters ahead of the saturday gop primary. We will hear from Donald Trumps daughterinlaw as she was encouraging voters to make it to the polls. First, we will hear from former South Carolina avner nikki haley in myrtle beach as she tried to make up a significant gap with the former president. The latest poll had nikki haley 28 points behind donald trump among South Carolina republican voters. [applause] ms. Haley its great to see everybody, what a great night it is in South Carolina [applause] in South Carolina, we grow our women strong. I want to thank the mayor, thank you for your leadership and service, we appreciate you very much. I want to thank the b ethunes. I look at this crowd and i think how many of you were here when i was governor . [applause] a lot of you. I look at this crowd anything about what we did together. We did a lot together. When i came in as governor, those times were tough. We had 11 unemployment, thousands of people on welfare and South Carolina was the but of the joke. We rallied and got together and got to work and by the time i left, we were building planes with boeing, building more bmws than anywhere in the world. We were referred to as the beast of the southeast. We got unemployment down to 4 . We did reform and cut taxes on Small Businesses. We built up our coffers and pay down debt and acknowledged some truths. We said you should protect the integrity of the voting process and we did voter id. We have the toughest illegal Immigration Law in the country. President obama sued us over it and we won. We passed the first of body camera bill in the country and we held elected officials to account. We made them disclose their income so you could see who was paying them. We vetoed half 1 billion of pet projects because thousand not how your money needed to be spent. By the time i left, we were named the friendliest state in the country, the most patriotic state in the country, and dont blame me for this one, the number two state in the country people were moving too. It is tough to watch how the country is. We are 34 trillion in debt, we are having to borrow money just to make Interest Payments. China owns some of that debt. We are paying more in Interest Payments than we are on defense funding. Something has got to give. I would love to be able to tell you that joe biden is that guy but ive always spoken hard truths and i will do that with you tonight. Our republicans did that to us too. Donald trump put us 8 trillion in debt in four years. He claimed it was covid, it was less than 20 of that. Our republicans have that 2. 2 trillion covid stimulus bill with no accountability. We have 42 million americans on food stamps, one third of the country. Did they try to make it right . No, they double down and opened up pap projects pet projects and earmarks for the first time in several years. The first thing we need to do is clawback of the 100 million that is still sitting out there. [applause] instead of 87,000 irs agents going after middle americans, go after the hundreds of billions of dollars of covid fraud, one of every seven dollars was fraudulent. Quit borrowing, cut up the credit cards, you have to balance a budget every day, i have two balance a budget as governor, why are the republicans the only ones refusing to balance the budget . I will veto any spending that wont bring us back to precovid levels. [applause] then we will take as many federal programs as we can and send them to the state level. It will empower people on the ground. Think education, elf care, welfare, mental health. If we send resources down and people on the ground decide how they are spent, that is so much better than washington bureaucrats spending that. We need an accountant in the white house, that is exactly right. Then we want to open up the middle class. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. We will cut taxes on the middle class. We will eliminate the federal gas and diesel tax. We will make Small Business tax cuts permanent. Small businesses are the heartbeat of our economy. It is time we start acting like it. [applause] speaking of congress and what they do, congress has one job. That is to make sure they give us a budget on time should congress has only given us a budget on time four times in 40 years. You know what i say . When i am president if you dont get us a budget on time, you dont get paid. [cheers and applause] dont you think its finally time we had term limits in washington, d. C. . [cheers and applause] dont you think we need to have mental competency tests for anyone over 75 . I want to be clear, i am not being disrespectful when i say that. We all know people over 75 that can run circles around us. And then we know joe biden. [laughter] congress is now the most privileged nursing home in the country. Is true. These are people making decisions on national security, making decisions on the future of our economy. We need people at the top of their game. And lets talk about the border. 9 million Illegal Immigrants have come to the border. The number one cause of death for adults 18 to 45, fentanyl. Dont think china doesnt know what they are doing when they send it over. We need to take what we did in South Carolina and go national with it. We will do a National Program so every business has to prove the people they hire are in the country legally. [cheers and applause] we will get rid of sanctuary cities once and for all. We will put ice agents on the ground and let them do their job. Instead of catch and release, we will go to catch and deport. [cheers and applause] lets talk about what happened last week. Last Week Congress had a border bill. If you look at the border bill, the part that was good was that it strengthened asylum laws. We have to do that. 3 million Illegal Immigrants came across the border under the Trump Administration because asylum laws were not strong enough. The weak part is it had a 5000 person threshold. We dont even need to have a one person threshold. The problem with what happened is Congress Needs to get in a room and figure it out and pass a Strong Border bill. But trump came in and said dont pass anything until after the general election. We cant wait one more day to secure our borders, period. [cheers and applause] Congress Needs to figure it out, get essay get us a strong bill and trump needs to stay out of it. When i was growing up in South Carolina, my parents taught me, you take care of those who take care of you. Right now in america, over 35,000 of our veterans are homeless. One in three suffers from ptsd. We lose 22 heroes a day to suicide. When a veteran needs a doctors appointment on average it takes 29 days. Why 29 days . On the 30th day they can go to the doctor or hospital of their choice. Midway through the 29 days they get a phone call to reschedule and to the process starts over again. It is shameful. When michael came home from afghanistan, it was a lot of prayers amswered. But he couldnt hear life loud noises or be in crowds. The transition was tough. We cant just love our men and women when they are gone, we got to love them when they come home too. [cheers and applause] [yelling] we need a leader whose total focus is to prevent war. Its always got to be about preventing war. I see what donald trump said in conway over a week ago. Think about this. He said he would encourage putin to invade our allies. [booing] think about this. Half a Million People have died or been wounded because putin invaded ukraine. Trump has cited with a dictator who killed his political opponent. He has sided with a tyrant who holds journalist hostage. He has sided with putin, who has made no bones about wanting to destroy america, and trump is choosing him over the allies who stood with us after 9 11 . He does this when he goes off the teleprompter. In that second when he did that, he made all of our allies more vulnerable, he emboldened putin and putin is now putting troops along the baltic states. He put every one of our men and women in the military that are serving there at risk. Words matter. Speaking of words, that same night, he mocked my husbands military service. [booing] michael and i can handle it, when you are in politics it is open season and that is fine. But you mock one member of the military and you are mocking every member of the military. [applause] we overlooked things he said before but this is now a pattern. He said military men and women who lost their lives in service were suckers and losers. He was at Arlington National cemetery and said what was in it for them . He has never been near a uniform. Think about that. He has never put on a uniform. We all know people who have served, we all know people who lost their lives to service. They dont do this for kicks and giggles. They do this because they know freedom is not free. They do this because it is bigger than themselves. When he does that, its because he doesnt understand nila terry service. Military service. If youve never been near a uniform or understood what that kind of sacrifice means, that says a lot more about him than any member of the military. [cheers and applause] so we know what we need to do with our national security. We know what we need to do with our domestic policy. Now we have to figure out what we want to do on saturday. [cheers and applause] the other day, i saw a commercial that trump was running against me, which is interesting because he says hes not worried. [laughter] in that commercial i was looking, and everything he said was a lie. He said i wanted to open borders, that i wanted to raise taxes, and apparently he sent a text message telling everyone i wanted to cut Social Security. None of that is true and he knows it. I thought, hes going to lie about me, im going to tell the truth about him. [cheers and applause] because he proposed a . 25 per gallon gas tax increase could increase. He wants to put tariffs on everything from baby strollers to appliances. It will be 2800 more per year on all of us. He needs to explain why he will not do anything with Social Security so when he leaves we all get a 24 cut of benefits. These are the things he needs to answer to but he wont because he wont debate me. [laughter] this is the time where we need to decide, do we want more of the same or do we want some thing different . [cheers and applause] it is bigger than the presidency. When you win by double digits, it is a mayday going into d. C. Its a mandate to go back to basics in education, its a mandate to secure our borders with no more excuses, its a mandate for law and order in our cities and a mandate for a Strong America that prevents war that we can all be proud of. Dont you want that . [cheers and applause] we can have that. But to have that it will take a lot of courage. Courage from everybody here. Courage for me to run. And courage for everyone of you to know that you dont complain in the general election if you dont vote in the primary. It matters. [cheers and applause] seven months ago, i dropped mike husband my husband mike off for another deployment. I watched the soldiers pickup their duffel bags of belongings to go to a country where they have never been all in the name of protecting america. They are willing to sacrifice their lives and their families because they still believe in this amazing experiment that is america. If they are willing to sacrifice for us there, shouldnt we be willing to fight for america here . [cheers and applause] we also have to think about who are we doing this for . We are doing this for our kids, for your grandkids. Think about what theyve been through. Theyve been through covid. They see the debt and they dont know what it means for them in their lives. They dont know if they will be able to buy a home or get a job, they dont know how they will make inns need and they are fearful of a war. They dont deserve what is happening right now. Right now what they hear is anger, chaos, hatred of one another. And we wonder why there is so much stress, anxiety and depression. We have to do this for them. Under joe biden, its not normal to have schools focus more on gender pronouns than reading and math. Its not normal to have wars all over the world. But then you look at donald trump. Its not normal to pay 50 million in Campaign Funding toward personal court cases. If not normal to mock the military. Its not normal to choose the side of a tyrant over our allies. It is not normal to have any of this happen. Thats the problem. Both of these men give us chaos. It has been a year since i announced i was running. We had 14 candidates in the race. I defeated a dozen of them. Ive just got one more i have to get. [cheers and applause] they said we wouldnt make it to iowa and we came within 1 of secondplace and they said on the day of New Hampshire we were down 30 points and we got 43 of the vote. If you see what happened the night of New Hampshire, donald trump had a temper tantrum on the stage, completely unhinged. All he did was talk about revenge and my dress. [laughter] the next day he said anybody who supports her is barred permanently from maga. [cheers and applause] think about that for a second. If you are running for president , you are trying to bring people in, trying to get more support, not push people out of your club. The next day he tried to be named the presumptive nominee. We dont anoint kings in america. We have elections. South carolinians deserve the right to vote just like every other state. [cheers and applause] the part that bothered me was he lost a couple of court cases and was talking about being a victim. [laughter] whether it was the night of New Hampshire or him talking about being a victim, at no point has he ever talked about the american people. Hes not talking about the fact we are throwing we have 4 trillion in debt, or that eighthgraders are feeling reading. Hes not talking about the border, hes not talking about lawlessness in cities, all hes talking about is himself. And that is the problem. Its not about him, its about the american people. [cheers and applause] when i started, i talked about all of the Success Stories we had together. Now i will remind you of the challenges we had. We had a lot when i was governor. Multiple hurricanes, a 1000 year flood, a school shooting. We have the shooting of walter scott and the shooting of nine amazing souls at Mother Emanuel Church could it was a lot. Any one of those could have brought us to our knees. After the shooting at the church , when the National Media wanted to divide everything about who we were and it was on the heels of ferguson and cities were burning when we turn on the tv, why didnt that happen to us . Because you were an amazing leader [cheers and applause] ms. Haley we didnt had riots, we had vigils. We didnt have protests, we had prayers. The tone at the top matters. [cheers and applause] we removed a divisive symbol not by saying who was good or bad and judging people. A leader shouldnt do that, a leader is supposed to bring out the best in people so we can go forward, and through all of those situations, we continued to show the country what strength and grace looks like. We did that. Now we have the chance to do that again. Weve got to get everybody to the polls. You all know people, whether you realize it or not, that are just general election voters. I want you to remind them of something. In a general election, you are given a choice. In a primary, you make your choice. [cheers and applause] we have a chance to make our choice. This is what i need you to do. I need you to get everybody you know to go vote on saturday. I need you to take a yard sign. I need you to make sure you let your voices be heard. Tell your friends and family, email and text everybody. This is the time South Carolina can really step up and show the direction we want our country to go in. I believe in you. Ive always trusted you. Ive always known that South Carolina truly is the best date in the country. [cheers and applause] they asked me why i am running and i said my parents came here 50 years ago to an america that was strong and proud and full of opportunity. I want them to know that country again. I am doing this for military brothers and sisters because they need to know the sacrifice matters and we love our country. I saw how hard it was for people to buy a home, the average age for a home buyer 49 years old. Im doing this for my son, a senior in college, im tired of seeing him right write papers about things he doesnt believe in to get an a. We cant be ok with that, you have a country to save. I will promise you this, just like i did when you elected me governor, if you will join with me in this movement, join with me in this fight, i will spend every single day giving to you that you made a good decision. Thank you very much, god bless you. [cheers and applause] thank you. Also, no labels told fox news it was still csidering exceptional leaders for a unity president ial ticket this year. That ce after retirg West Virginia senator joe manchin said he would not be pursuing theresidency, saying he didnt want to be a spoiler in the race. Next, a preview of what you will see this weekend on American History tvs historicampaign speeches series. Every saturday, we look at president ial campaigns past. This week you will hear two speeesrom republicans in southarolina. From 2000 and george w bush, and 2016, Donald Trumps final remarks just a day before the president ial primary. My vision for america is that each of us understand we are responsible for the decisions we make in life. Each of us must understand we are responsible for loving the children we bring into this world, that we are responsible for helping the communities in which they live be the best they can be, and all of us are responsible for hearing the universal call to love a neighbor just like we would like to be loved ourselves. Government can help ensure the responsibility by passing a law that says we will hold you accountable for what you do if you break the law, using a gun, there needs to be accountability. There is a four letter word called jail. But the false hope in the past is you need to wait for government to pass a law and every thing will be fine. Let me tell you what i know and you know, governments cannot make people love one another. Its been a great false hope in the past, you pass a law and people will love one another, but love comes from a higher authority. The great strength of america lies in the hearts and souls of citizens who have heard that call, not in the halls of government. So my job will be to gather the armies of compassion, to rally people of faith and goodwill and good heart who are willing to help a neighbor in need, to help the young who need to be meant toward, to say to people there are bright choices in life to make and wrong choices to make, to rally the armies of compassion to close the gap of hope in america, and to usher in a responsibility era. I understand the profound fact that to call on the best of america, if i am the one chosen, and eventually become your president , when i put my hand on the bible on that january day of 2001, i will swear to not only uphold the laws of the land, i will swear to uphold the honor and integrity of the office to which i have been elected, so help me god. Thank you all for coming, god bless. [cheers and applause] mr. Trump the New Hampshire experience to me was amazing, but what was there big problem . Heroin, drugs. The most beautiful area, the most beautiful place, the greatest people, every place they are great. No matter where we go, the people of this country are unbelievable people, the potential of the people, the potential of the people in our country, unbelievable. With New Hampshire, remember this, they said mr. Trump, it is heroin, the drugs are pouring in. You can even associated. We will close up that border, we will build the wall, and i o them. They talk about common core and everything but what they really talk about is the tremendous drug explosion. It just seems so strange because you look at it, it is so beautiful with the trees and read to full roadways and everything. Every meeting i went to, they talked about heroin. It is pouring in from the southern border. I said, you know what, im going to close up that border. Im going to close up, im going to close up that border. We will have a wall, rear wall, a great while, a beautiful wall, because someday they will probably name it after trump and i have to make sure it is beautiful. [cheers and applause] i o it to them. On wednesday, laura trump, daughterinlaw of the former president , was in South Carolina as part of his get out the vote effort. Here is part of her visit where she was joined by republican representative nancy mace. Theres only one man today that has the work ethic to turn our nation around, and that man is donald j. Trump. [cheers and applause] there is only one man who has the courage to take on the bureaucracy, these secretaries and agencies who spy on americans and caudal extremists and that man is donald j. Trump. [cheers and applause] the next thing i want to say is we all talk about, we hear politicians talk about how important this election is. This election is the most consequential election of our lifetime. [cheers and applause] who is ready for the 47th president . [cheers and applause] this is a good crowd, i like the energy. This is the energy it is going to take to win. You just heard it, this election is the most important election of any of our lifetimes and i dont say that with any sort of hyperbole at all. We feel it right now in this country. We had three years of joe biden in the white house, how is that working out . [booing] can we even say it is joe biden who was running the country . Let me ask you this, does anyone actually believe that in 2020, 80 one Million People were so inspired by a guy who can only the most massive turnout in the history of elections . We dont believe that, but that is why everyone in this room is so important. We are leaving nothing to chance on this one. It starts on saturday right here in the great state of South Carolina and we are taking it on, 257 days from now, november 5, where we get a huge victory not just for donald trump of the entire country, right . [cheers and applause] i tell you, it would be easier if he said im hanging up my hat and im going to let somebody else run, this is too much, because lets face it, theyve tried Everything Possible to destroy his life, this man, our family, his business at every possible turn. They thought, we will impeach him. Once, twice, that will seal the deal, we will never have to deal with him again. He said not so fast. I see a country that needs me. I see a country that needs to go back to we the people. He understands that. He didnt need this job in 2016, i thought it was a joke when he came down the escalator. A publicity stunt, another season of the celebrity apprentice. He came down and he had a lot of common sense he was talking about. He spoke like we all spoke, saying the things that resonated with people, and despite the fact that he was a billionaire businessman from new york city, he connected with the american people. He started a movement in this country the likes of which weve never seen. The make America Great again America First movement. Any ultra maga in here . [cheers and applause] can we talk about how great it is to be ultra maga . That is something to be proud of because it means you love this country, you get up every day, you go to work, you work for your family, you believe that the almighty is the most important thing in this world. That you pay your taxes. If you are a good citizen, that is what ultra maga meanspirited but leave it to folks out there to skew it. Donald trump had a great life, he had all the money in the world. But he knew this was his time. Before he ever came down that escalator and announced he was running for president , he sat down with our entire family and said if i do this, its not just about me, it will involve our entire family. If i do what needs to be done for this country, believe me, they will come after us, not just me but all of us. I need to know you guys understand what that means and that you are ready for that. We were all like yeah, absolutely. [laughter] what could go wrong . How bad could it be . Little did we know, of course. What he understood even in 2015 where we were in this country and what needed to change. It took a guy who funded his own campaign until he became the republican nominee. He didnt take a single paycheck while he was president of the United States he is the only president to come out of the white house with less money than he went into the white house with, ok . [applause] you see the way they go after him at every turn. They tried the impeachments and they didnt work. They said we will indict him. We will get somebody to indict him, that will end donald trump as we know it. What happened . Poll numbers went up. People started getting behind him even more. They said we need another indictment, so they did a second one. This isnt working, what do we do . Call fani willis. [booing] get her to slap an indictment on him and while she is at it, get her to release a mugshot, that will take donald trump down. That is the greatest mugshot. [cheers and applause] something happened and something changed when that mugshot came out. Obviously its the best blue steel ive ever seen, but people really responded in a very different way than what they intended, right . People look at the mugshot and saw themselves. They saw the same system that hadnt been working for them was working against this guy. They said something is going on because all of this is being pulled into one man. They must really want to keep him from going back into the white house. That is true, we all know it in this room. The truth is, donald trump exposed so much during his first term in office, not only did he do a lot of great things, talk about historically low unemployment, trade deals with china, sicko, canada, peace agreements in the middle east instead of wars starting in the middle east. Talked with kim jongun to denuclearize the korean peninsula. We had a closed border in america. [cheers and applause] because he understood if you dont have a border, you dont have a country. He understood why that was important, he saw what was happening and why it was so dangerous to this country. Not only did he do all of these incredible things, gave us energy independence. One dollar 87 1. 87 per gallon. We are opening back up the keystone xl pipeline when he is back in. [cheers and applause] inflation will come down, it will give us a better standing on the world stage, it will take money away from russia to fund the war with ukraine, we take money away from iran to fund hamas invading israel. There are so many things that were great under a donald trump presidency, but possibly the greatest thing he did was expose what was going on, the rot at the core of washington, d. C. Those very people are desperate to keep him out. They only have one problem, nothing they put against him will succeed. Though they try they will fail. This man will never stop, he will never give up, he will never stop fighting for what he knows is right, and what is right is to give this country back to the people. [cheers and applause] they also wont succeed because of every one of you in this room. Since the day he got 75 million votes on election day in 2020, i guarantee you, 10 million more people have gotten on the trump train. [cheers and applause] since the very beginning, i think weve all felt that god has been part of things. People would pray for us on the campaign trail, they would pray for my fatherinlaw and i truly believe that prayer works. This is a fight right now not between republican, democrat, left versus right, it is good versus evil. There is no way this one man would still be standing, still fighting, still doing what he knows is right for the future of this country if not for the almighty. [cheers and applause] there are people who maybe were obsessed with the 2020 election. You are looking at one of them. No one put more into that, more of their blood, sweat and tears than our family. It was a very hard time for us to really see what was going on in this country and say theres nothing else we can do. Joe biden is going to take over, and it was a dark time for america, for a lot of people in this room. But sometimes things dont happen in our time, they happen in gods time. I will tell you right now that i truly believe we needed the past three years, we needed people to wake up and see and understand what you get if you vote for people like joe biden. People are awake and once you are awake, youre not going back to sleep. I want to tell you very quickly and then i want to take some questions, you may have heard my fatherinlaw endorsing me as cochair of the rnc. [cheers and applause] something i never imagined i would do, but i also never imagined that america would be at this point, that we would be so bad off and need someone to save us. Im here to do whatever i can to ensure that we get this country back on track. Ive been involved in gop politics for 40 years and ive noticed over the years the schism between the establishment and the guy working everyday. What would you do as chairman or cochair to fix that and gain trust . I think donald trump did it, he bridged the gap, i talked earlier about the fact this is a billionaire from new york who connected with the american people. I think thats part of the rationale for having a trump Family Member go to the rnc. People know they can trust donald trump, they know he is fighting for causes they care about. Having someone like me i think will go a long way for people. I can assure you my loyalty is to my fatherinlaw and i will make sure every penny is used properly, that peoples money is not wasted on flowers or limousines or anything else, it should be going to fight for the causes we care about. Weve seen trumplike in his legal woes to Alexei Navalny in russia, how are they similar . I think he would have to ask him but i think we are talking about targeting a political foe and thats what youve seen with joe biden weaponizing the department of justice. Theres no doubt that if my fatherinlaw was not running for president , you would not see any of these indictments against him. It would not be trying to destroy his family and legacy. Everything he worked his entire life for. These things are not just were real. They are clearly designed to be election interference and thats what it is. Those are things you see happen in a communist country, those are things you see happen in russia to political opponents. I think he meant that in the same way hes a target. Do you believe that putin is responsible for the death of navalny . I cant comment on that. [indiscernible] i dont really know their stance, i think generally they stay out of those things and so i dont know why we would change course. [indiscernible] how do you balance these issues that are very important to you with the cost it takes to fight . I think you have to raise a ton of money, i think thats going to be a big portion of what i would do if i was cochair of the rnc. We have to have a huge fundraising push and i think it can be done simultaneously. You cant win at the ballot box if you have these things against you. These lawsuits i believe are important and i think people care about them but you also have to have a ground game, photo outreach and Voter Registration and all of the things that make up a traditional campaign. We raise enough money, we can do them all. You talk a lot about do you think joe biden was legitimately elected president . Me personally, no. The question about impartiality, [indiscernible] i dont think theres any path to nikki haley becoming the republican nominee, so if she wants to continue this quest for a personal situation, its fine with me. I dont think theres any way i will not be back in my fatherinlaw. My personal feelings are one thing. The rnc will be supporting whoever the republican nominee for president is and i think we all know that will be donald trump. There have been some major republican donors who have decided they wont support trump. If you are cochair, would you try to bring them back into the fold, or is that a concern that historically some big republican donors have said they will sit out . Yeah, certainly, everyone is welcome to donate, we would love one to be involved and i dont see why we would say no to anyone donating money. If that some thing they wanted to talk about id more than happy to talk with him about it. [indiscernible] i am sure there will be. [indiscernible] i am not going to talk about a personal conversation with my fatherinlaw but i will tell you he strongly believes in me and that i can do the job that needs to be done or he never would have endorsed me. I think he understands this is a must when fight, so for him to ensure a cohesiveness is important. Im honored to have his endorsement. Has there been any talk about [indiscernible] that ruling i believe will be overturned because it is so outrageous. I dont think any Appellate Court would let it stand. What are your qualifications to be cochair, what is your pitch . Ive been part of my fatherinlaws campaign for two campaigns now. All of us were very new to politics and we certainly have a lot to learn but ive learned a lot and ive worked with the rnc when i was part of the Trump Campaign from 2016 through 2020. I think as far as campaigns go i have a lot of experience and im sure there is a lot more to learn. The current cochair is deeply loyal to your fatherinlaw. Have you had any conversations about that . No. One of the conversations about the trump endorsement, when did the conversations begin . I know hes probably been very clear publicly a long time he feels there should be change at the rnc. I would say privately, hes probably been talking quite a bit. When did he engage your interest . I will keep that between us. [indiscernible] ukraine in the house . I dont see it coming to the floor anytime soon. Some have said they want to do a discharge petition on the democrat side. Will there be a push for republicans to do that, i havent seen that yet. We are out of session, we may come back it will be telling. The biggest thing i see is we have to address the cr, it expires in march and the clock is ticking. What do we do next . Based on what happened to the Senate Border bill, you will see a groundswell of republicans, democrats and independents frustrating frustrated. Republicans have sent two bills to the senate, we did hr 2 last year, and an appropriations bill , and you are seeing what is going on in new york and chicago. I just got some data back in our district and immigration is the only issue people are talking about. Do you support the leadership for the rnc donald trump is supporting . We need new leadership. We got to raise money, we need to get donald trump back in the white house, keep the house and i come from a purple district and i know how hard it is to keep a seat like this. I know these issues drive can drive constituencies in districts. We have to keep the house, which will be a challenge, and we need the white house. We need all the money we can get for the rnc to do that. [indiscernible] wanted to see half 1 billion raised. What will it take to get that money . [indiscernible] he is a fundraising machine. As someone familiar with the fundraising machine behind donald trump i think it would be great for the party. It was pretty devastating for the president , not competent to stand trial or leave the country . No one has formally done anything about it, but if youre not competent to stand trial how are you competent to be president . You are synced democrats not putting joe bidens name on the campaign trail, you see people not wanting him to visit. Who is behind the wheel at the white house is the question we should all be asking. Any hearings or anything like that . Its hard to say, we have a deposition of james biden this week and connor biden in the weeks ahead so weve been focused on that part of the investigation. I dont know about other committees. [indiscernible] implications for the house impeachment. It said the witness was trustworthy. Jamie raskin said the witness was credible. There is video verifying that at the time. You think hes credible . Thats what the fbi said. At the time. My question is why wasnt this done sooner if he was not credible . I have more questions than answers. In 2022, donald trump called you untruthful and a loser. How do you explain the flipflop youve been accused of having with now endorsing President Trump . I dont call it a flipflop, i supported him in 16 and 20. I dont agree with everyone 100 of the time. I represent an independentminded district. We have come a long way. Im not gonna agree with everyone and i said that in my endorsement this cycle as well. [indiscernible] i didnt like it and i talked about it then. Im looking forward, looking to the future and looking at the last three years under joe biden. I will take donald trump all day long, its an easy call to endorse him. Hes a guy that primary voters want to nominate and he will win every state resoundingly, historically. The highest numbers weve ever had a nominee win by. [indiscernible] during the town hall he compared having to pay the fine in the civil fraud case is like the death of Alexei Navalny. Do you agree . I hope they will appeal that decision. These are the things we should be looking at. [crosstalk] [indiscernible] every penny should go to donald trump . Every penny should go toward trump in the white house, and that includes races down ballot, whether youre talking about the senate or house. We are going to win a lot of races in the house and senate and i believe nationwide. Thank you all very much. What you think about alabama and ivf . I will answer this one, i dont support any efforts to take away ivf from any woman in the country. This is an issue we have to talk about, weve got to talk about abortion and Birth Control and making sure we dont take away womens rights to ivf or women who are childbearing age and want to give birth, and something i impassioned about and i will be working hard to make sure that doesnt happen.
