Attention. Tim kaine, among so many others. Jim acosta, first of all, what are we hearing from the donald trump folks today . Wolf, i think that image sums it up. Every four years, we seem to say it is all about ohio. It does seem like on this labor day as we get into the homestretch of this 2016 campaign, donald trump spending a few different spots here in the northern part of the states around cleveland, ohio, meeting with a group of Union Members and leaders. Also, after that, had lunch with a group of Union Members in cleveland. He is going to make his way over to canfield, ohio, near youngstown to go to the county fair. We are going to see donald trump and mike pence walking around. What we heard from donald trump is road testing that message. Donald trump trying to connect with Blue Collar Workers saying that his message, his prescription for the economy is going to help in the longrun. Listen to what donald trump had to say. He can relate to workers in ohio. It is a great state. I worked in ohio for a pretty extended period of time. I think it is a great place. It has been abused like every state. Every state has been abused by incompetent leadership, specially as it comes to jobs and manufacturing. Now, interesting to also note donald trump took note of what happened to president obama during his trip for the g20 meeting in china. Donald trump mentioning to reporters there earlier this morning in that group gathered there in cleveland how the chinese did not put that staircase next to air force one when president obama deplaned when he arrived in china essentially showing that as no respect to the president of the United States. He intimated that will be different in a donald trump presidency. Kelly ann conway, the campaign manager, she is traveling with the candidate on in stretch of these stops here in ohio. She mentioned to reporters gathered outside that restaurant that they are looking for voters who dont typically vote every four years. This goes to the heart of the hopes of this campaign that, yes, these polls show they are behind. M those that arent showing up every four years are donald trump voters. When they come out in force, they will make the difference come november. Joe, Hillary Clinton has a labor day event. The big event, the unveiling of her new Campaign Plane as of right now. Does this spark a significant change for all practical purposes, expect more travel, Campaign Stops and more openness from Hillary Clinton as far as the press is concerned, because now she is allowing the president aboard her plane. It is certainly a big moment for the journalists that have been covering Hillary Clintons campaign. Look, at the end of the day, i think it will be a footnote that says we are now entering the homestretch of this campaign. At least it is in the horizon. Another footnote by the way, tim kaine, her running mate joined her on the plane. Another one. A picture by colleague who traveled with Hillary Clinton showing the plane on the tarmac here in cleveland with the tail of the plane of donald trump just in the distance. All of that is showing us we are in the homestretch. Now, what does it mean . Well, the hope springs eternal that it means for access for journalists for covering Hillary Clinton. She talked to some of the reporters. Listen to what she said. Welcome to our big plane. It is so exciting. What do you think . I think it is pretty cool. Dont you . You are supposed to say yes. I am so happy to have all of you with me. I have just been waiting for this moment. Really, ill come back and talk to you more formally. I wanted to welcome you on to the plane. How is your Labor Day Weekend . It is good. It was really good. We had a good time. The last moment of hello, mark. I recognize your hat. How are you . Im glad you are here. The last moment before the mad dash the next two months. I hope you guys are ready. Are you ready . Im ready. More than ready. Are you ready . Has he been taking good care of you . Very good. Arun, how long have you been working for me now . 2 1 2 years. He started right out of you were still in college, right . I know, i know. Were so happy. Happy labor day. I know. Thats exactly right. Do you have a labor day message . Oh, i do. Youll hear it. I definitely do, if you want more happy labor days, you know who to vote for. Thanks. Ill come back later. Thank you. Hillary Clintons Campaign and the candidate have been under fire for not holding a News Conference in so long, at least a formal News Conference. They say they have done a lot of interviews and have been out on social media and accessible to the public generally. I think it also brings the fact that years and years ago Hillary Clinton was accessible when she traveled. I traveled with her internationally and she came back and talked to us reporters fairly frequently. This is not the time she wasnt rung for president. That was when she was first lady. Does donald trump allow a pool of reporters above his plane now as well . Reporter typically, no. We dont know about future developments, whether or not that might take place from today on forward. What we do know, wolf, is that so far, during the duration of this campaign, the press has not traveled with donald trump. Press pools have not traveled with donald trump. Certain reporters have been brought on board his plane from time to time. They are not given be that level of access. I could just hear the trump m campaign responding to what Hillary Clinton is doing today on her plane. She is not holding a press conference. As the Trump Campaign was saying to reporters earlier this morning. This is a day, 275, since she last held a press conference with reporters. They dont mind that juxtaposition. They dont mind putting their access to their candidate versus the press access to Hillary Clinton. They feel like that is night an day. Jim acosta and joe johns, thank you very much. Donald trumps outreach to Union Workers comes on the heels of the weekend visit to an africanamerican church, the great faith ministries. He called for unity and promise to address the economic challenges facing many africanamericans. Dr. Ben carson is an adviser to donald trump and former president ial candidate. Dr. Carson, thanks very much for joining us. Pleasure, wolf. You were with donald trump in this outreach to africanamerican voters in detroit . What do you think he accomplished . Well, he had an opportunity to really hear from the people and to see how warmly they received him. It is good for him to know that. You might get the impression from a lot of the things that the media says that all black people hate donald trump. Of course, thats not true. Also, he had an opportunity to hear from them and this is something that he is going to be doing not only in detroit but in lots of cities across the nation listening to community leaders. What are their concerns . More importantly, what are their solutions . What things have they seen that actually work, because you really want to build policies around things that work as opposed to around ideology. As you know, dr. Carson, critics see Donald Trumps outreach as too little, too late. One weekend in detroit at this church, for example, cant erase so many of the comment that is were made out on the campaign trail that the Africanamerican Community in general didnt like. How do you respond to that . I would say, he has had a number of meetings in various and sundry places and will to do that. I dont think it really matters when and how he meets. He is going to be criticized. You cant really spend your time worrying about the criticism. You have to concern yourself with what you are trying to accomplish. If you are trying to make America Great again, you have to have a strong infrastructure, including our inner cities. You cannot neglect those and expect to be successful. Let me shift gears. I want to get your Quick Reaction to what the president of the United States said at a News Conference in china. He was asked about some controversial demonstrations, if you will, surrounding the San Francisco 49ers quarterback, colin kaepernick. He has refused to stand during the National Anthem at the games to protest what he says is the treatment of africanamericans by police. The president says he thinks that kaepernick is sincere in his protest. Listen to this. My understanding, at least, is that he is exercising his constitutional right to make a statement. I think there is a long history of sports figures doing so. When it comes to the flag and the National Anthem and the meaning that that holds for our men and women in uniform and those who have fought for us p that is p a tough thing for them to get passed to then hear what his deeper concerns are. Dr. Carson, whats your reaction to kaepernicks protest and the president s comments . Well, there is no question that he has a right to protest. He can do anything he wants. Thats why we have a free country. Thats why people fought for that and thats what our flag represents. Im a little disappointed that the president of the United States doesnt take a stronger stand in defense of what this country stands for and what its flag symbolizes but he is a free citizen too. He can do what he wants. What would you have wanted the president to say . I would have wanted him to say, the flag represents our country, the good and the bad. Anybody who is waiting for the country to be perfect before they will honor the flag is going to be waiting for a very long time. We should do everything we can to enhance the image, the comradery, the unity of our people, not encourage people to be divided on this issue. I think he has created an opening now for a big division that didnt have to be there. Dr. Carson, thank you very much for joining us. Thank you, wolf, very much. They want a government that represents all of us and not just 1 . Hillary clinton is in ohio with his running mate, tim kaine. The campaign, as you know, debuted their new plane. Hillary clinton gave a nice little welcome to the traveling press core. I am so happy to have all of you with me. I was just waiting for this moment. Joining us now, van jones. Thanks very much for joining us. It has taken Hillary Clinton a while to open up her plane to the press. Donald trump has not yet done so. What do you expect to hear from her now that the press is on the plane and hopefully, she will be more responsive to have a full conference . Shi does have a lot of substantive things to say. She is such a policy walk. She has a bunch of great ideas. Thats being drowned out right now. We now have a live feed coming from Donald Trumps plane. He is meeting with reporters above his plane traveling from cleveland to youngstown. I want to listen in. She has done an amazing job as the attorney general of florida. She is very popular. How are you preparing for the debates . What advice are you being given . We speak all the time. I think im preparing somewhat like i prepared for the other debates. I enjoyed the debating process. Obviously, i did well in the debates according to the online polls that they did right after the debates. Are you doing a lot of prep work . Im doing some. I have seen people do so much prep work that when they get out there, they cant speak. Ive seen that. We are doing some. What kind of prep work . Do you mind pulling back the curtain a little bit . It is really basically ive called a lot of things right. Shouldnt go into iraq, shouldnt get out of iraq the way they have got out of iraq. There are so many Different Things we have been talking about. Take the oil. I have been saying take the oil for years. Is someone playing hillary in your prep . No, no. Do you plan of a session where someone does . I hadnt planned on it. You are going to do all three of these debates . As of this moment, yes. What could cause you to change your mind . You say as of this moment. What could cause you to change your mind . Hurricanes, natural disaster. I expect to do all three. Only an act of god can stop you . I look forward to the debates. I think it is an important element of what were doing. I think you have an obligation to do the debates. I did them in the other cases. We had 11 debates. I look forward to the debates. They came out with a moderator p. I like them. I respect the mod raytorerators. In terms of reaching out to labor unions, will you do anything to help them particularly . We will bring back jobs. What we are going to do, i told them very strongly, we are bringing back jobs. Jobs is the whole deal. Its going to be so vital to this country to bring back our jobs. Our jobs have been taken like grant took richmond. We have never had a case like this before. It is getting worse and worse. You look at what we just saw. We passed plant after plant after plant where there are no jobs where it is just gone. First of all, the major is a terrific person. He is a democrat who endorsed trump. He took some direct slits at Hillary Clinton and pleb fresid obama for that matter. We are going to take a quick break and resume, full analysis of what we just heard. Much more right after this. Lets talk about africanamerican support for Hillary Clinton. Donald trump wrapped up his Outreach Program by going to a black church. Hillary clinton has support from africanamericans according to a New York Times report. There are still some young africanamerican voters out there that have serious doubts about her. What can she do to try to gain their support. I think that, first of all, lets not poopoo, 91 , from t Africanamerican Community. As a white politician, her support sometimes runs higher than obama in 2008 and 2012. She has done a fantastic job with that constituency. You have a Younger Generation that has grown up with an africanamerican president and everything from Trayvon Martin to some of these videos we have seen. They are impausch yutient for a. She is going to inherit some of that. In the obama coalition, the africanamericans were supposed to be in some ways a silent partner during that first term. The latinos were able to be vocal on immigration. Our lgbtq sisters were able to be vocal. The black lives Matter Movement came out of that quiet, those four years of quiet saying, listen, we want to be heard. You have a pickedup desire to be heard now. I think she is going to have to deal with. I would be very, very clear. What donald trump has done has not been very effective at all. Before he went to that black church, some of the things he was saying that were supposed to be outreach, sounded more like insult than outreach. As you know Sean Diddy Combs blasted m Hillary Clinton. He said, i hope she, referring to Hillary Clinton, starts to directly talk to the community. It makes me feel almost hurt our issues p are not m addressed. Does he make a fair point . I dont believe in not voting. I know diddy pretty well. I think he is trying to point to this frustration. Donald trump is not wrong about everything just almost everything. When he points to this idea there is a frustration that some africanamericans feel, that the democrats have taken our vote for granted and have not delivered, that is not off the mark. You hear that in black barber shops and nail salons and p black churches. He goes wrong when he tries to use that to score cheap political points and not create real engagement. He says, what the hell do you have to lose . Your schools are terrible. Your jobs are terrible. That is so tone deaf. What if i said that to poor white voters hoff been in red states forever voting for republicans. You are poor. You live in a trailer. You dont have good dental health. What the hell do you have to lose, vote for Hillary Clinton . No one would see that as legitimate outreach. They would see that as insulting. What you have to understand is that there are some legitimate grievances but the messenger and the tone of the message on donald trump is not the way to go. In fact, he drove more blacks back to the democrats with that than he pulled away. Van jones, thanks very much for joining us. Thank you. Up next, p a cnn exclusive. Cnn has details revealing that isis operates a Sophisticated Organization throughout europe which helps wouldbe terrorists plan and carry out terror attacks. It includes photos that have never before been seen by the public, interrogations and actual communications between the isis attackers and their handlers back in syria. They name an isis operative. Class we have an exclusive report. Reporter november 13th, ten isis operatives attacked paris targeting bars, restaurants, concert hall and stadium, shooting as many people as they could before blowing themselves up. By the end of the massacre, the worst terrorist attack in europe in a decade, 130 people were dead. Cnn has gained access to thousands of pages of documents and photos from the european investigation which shed new light on the Sophisticated Network isis uses to coordinate terror attacks across europe. The documents reveal another suspected terrorist never before made public who investigators link to the cell that carried out the paris attacks on the loose in europe for more than six months. Other operatives are believed to be living among ordinary citizens in europe plodding other strikes directedly senior isis handlers in syria according to multiple sources. Within days of the shocking rampage in paris, police learned that two of the three suicide bombers at the stadium entered by posing as Syrian Refugees, these surveillance photos never seen before publicly show the bombers as they approach their target. This is the moment they detonate their devices. According to the documents, two more men were part of the isis cell. They traveled the same refugee route as the suicide bombers blending in with thousands of people from wartorn countries. Their named are adele houdady and Mohammed Usman. Records of their story is based on multiple interrogations of haddadi from early october. Their journey began in raqqa, sear why. According to the documents, haddadi later tells investigators he only knew they were being sent to france to do something for the good of god. Much of their journey was directedly a shadowy isis leader known only as abu ahmad who arranged cell phone meetings and money. A french expert on terrorism m analyzed documents obtained by cnn. Abu ahmad is clearly an isis operative. He is key in sending those individuals to the paris attacks and recruited them and trained them. He was always in contact with them. According to transcripts, hawa they picked up cash passed from one smuggler along the way. They received instructions through encrypted apps. They are only given enough money and information to get to the next stop. Isis is accelerating its International Attack planning is increasingly sophisticated in the way it does it. It has set up an intricate, Logistical Support system for the terrorist cells. Reporter in the middle of the night, the team makes the crossing in a boat filled with dozens of refugees, picked up by the greek navy much the two bombers that would eventually attack the paris stadium make it through and start moving steadily north. Haddadi and usmans fake pass ports are taken. They were held and released. Authorities believe that delay was significant. Any they would not have a chance to become part of the paris attacks. Haddadi says they contact their isis handler who amazes another 2000 euros. Fresh with cash, they continue across the refugee route as they work their way across europe. Usman identified by investigators passes the hours doing something strikingly unislamic, looking at porn, visiting nearly two dozen sites on his phone. They arrive in austria and apply for asylum and end up in this Refugee Center where they stayed for weeks. According to sources, authorities believe that haddadi and usman were not only part of the same terrorist cell but they were planning another attack. The documents show they were in contact with people in several European Countries and were reap searching travel to france. Investigators believe they were waiting for a third man to join them. A mysterious isis operative called tabaouni. Like usman and ma dady, he traveled along the refugee route carrying a phone number linked to the terrorist of the paris attacks as well as a photo of Islamic State fighters standing before their flag. December 10th, nearly a month after the terrorist attacks, tabaouni finally arrives at the Refugee Center where usman and haddadi are. Later, the same day, police raid the center. Usman and haddadi are arrested. Here is what happened next. In the scramble, haddadi tries unsuccessfully to get rid of his sim card. Tabaouni is nowhere to be seen. They deny knowing him. They found his cell phone charging right beside haddadis bed which has his cell number saved and a photo taken 30 minutes before the raid showing him sitting on a bed in the Refugee Center right next to where haddadi and usman slept. We can assume that tabaouni was also part of the same plot and instructed to carry out an attack. From the time he slipped away last december, tabaouni has been a wanted man according to cnn sources that confirm he was finally arrested in july. The documents show this is the Facebook Page he had on his phone. In recent months, it appears he was publicly posting updates from belgium. Investigators are now analyzing 1600 pages of data from his phone. Sources tell cnn they are moving to extradite him to austria and tie him to haddadi and usman and the terrorist attackers. Are you concerned there may be many others who use the same route who you just didnt know about . Yes. We have seen that in the recent weeks. Several of them, individuals who carry out individual attacks have, inspired attacks were coming back in syria using the same route. So there is a possibility there are many more you dont know about . There is a high possibility. The documents show that haddadis phone is a treasure trove for investigators through southern and northern europe. He had dozens of contacts. Some gave advice, crossing borders and evading the law. One tells haddadi he was able to sneak into france by hiding in the bathroom of a train. December 15 th five days after the raid, isis handler reaches out to haddadi and usman. How are you . He writes, what has become of you . There is no reply. Our Senior International correspondent, Clarissa Ward is joining us and Paul Crookshank is joining us from new york. Excellent reporting. Where are these three men now . From what we know, abdul haddadi and Mohammed Usman have been extradited to france. The third man, tabaouni, on the loose in europe for more than six months, we believe that he is awaiting extradition to austria. The thing this story really drove home as you comb through these tens of thousands of pages of documents, very much a team effort with paul, the cnn investigative unit, everyone working very hard to comb through all this material. What you realize very quickly is that there are many others out there. Thats not just an attempt to frighten people. We know of at least two other people who were arrested in that Refugee Center alongside haddadi and usman. From belgium sources, they believe 3040 people directly involved with facilitating the paris attacks. You heard in that final exchange with brasard, how many more are there out there that authorities dont know about . Officials are telling you that investigators believe that isis was planning a more ambitious plot against europe than just attacks in paris . What else are you learning . Wolf, thats right. European terrorism officials telling me that isis was initially planning a much bigger attack. They have to scale back those plans and were not able to reach they were either detained or didnt reach europe. The initial p was to target the netherlands and other areas, notably shopping areas and a supermarket. This being a bigger plot than the one they care reed out in which 130 people were killed initially. Why do authorities believe there are more terror plots out there similar to what we saw in paris . For some of the reasons you just heard paul outline. There are so many leads they have from all the information from the cell phones that they received that they dont know where those leads go to. Let me give you an example. Haddadi was in contact with a technician at a very important Nuclear Research facility. Since that has been aired to french authorities, french authorities, because the man was in france, have placed this man under observation. They cant simply go and arrest a mn simply because he was in contact with another man who was suspected of being an isis operative. There were many other conversations like this hawatha haddadi and others were having with various people. Who has a more cursory role in the network . What they say, a series of concentric circles. Isis is very sophisticated in how much information gets passed on. You heard again and again the operative say they only knew as much to get them to the next stop. That makes it difficult for authorities to connect the dots when it comes to knowing where these plots are expected to take place and when, wolf. Paul, as you know, donald trump and others say the u. S. Should stop all the refugee inflow from syria, for example, because isis is platting to. Ten thousand Syrian Refugees have come to the United States this year. How do you make sure that what happened in europe, isis terrorists infiltrating the refugee flow, doesnt happen here . Those refugees are already extraordinary wellvetted. We need to put the threat in europe into some context. We are talking about more than 1 million refugees. At most, we are talking about isis infiltrating dozens of operatives by posing as refugees when they come into europe. There is some evidence it has become more difficult now for isis to send those operatives back because the Turkish Border has become more sealed in the area which is con tiggtiguous ts territory. The turks and europeans have managed to close down the bulkan territory. There is real concern that they will try to continue to send these operatives back into europe. I came back from a terror p conference in europe. There is a number of people, as many as ten thousands, who have become radicalized. Some of them are trying to get back from syria and iraq and the numbers are too high for European Security services to deal with. Especially because theyre not coordinating in the way they need to given the scale of the threat. Clarissa, clearly in europe they dont have the vetting process that the United States has trying to prevent terrorist infiltrating into the country. Well, this is the real question. I mean, we couldnt believe it when we read that the greeks, the greek authorities had stopped the two men because they had Fake Passports and help the seemingly inexplicably allowed them to move on after just 30 days in detention. We have tried many times to get in touch with greek authorities, to get some sense of what exactly happened and why but this illustrates just how difficult it is, wolf. Clarissa ward doing excellent reporting not just by herself, shes got a team that worked with her for months on this report. Clarissa, thank you so much. Paul cruickshank, thanks to you as well, you were part of that team reviewing these document, appreciate it very, very much. Coming up, Hillary Clintons political roots date back to her college days. Hillary clinton will make history if she wins the november election. Clinton has been making some headlines since her time as a young student at wellesley college. Thats where she gave what would become her First Political speech. Thats also where the predictions about her political future actually began. Our justice correspondent pamela brown has a preview of a cnn special report the essential Hillary Clinton. There had been no tradition of a student speaker at wellesley but the student body insisted that there be one and they chose hillary. She was scheduled to speak at commencement after the invited guests, republican senator edward brook of massachusetts. And he gave a speech that was dismissive and patronizing about the antiwar movement, about what students were going through in the country. There was polite applause but mostly from our parents. Then hillary spoke. And it is a great pleasure to present to this audience, miss Hillary Rodham. [ applause ] she got up and discarded her prepared vetted remarks and spoke extemporaneously. Weve had lots of empathy, weve had lots of sympathy but we feel that for too long our leaders have viewed politics as the art of the possible and the challenge now is to practice politics as the art of making what appears to be impossible possible. While the administration was stricken by hillarys rebuttal, the students erupted in applause. Ill tell you what, we were ecstatic. We gave her a standing ovation. We were so proud of her. The following week, Hillary Rodham made National Headlines for the very first time. It got tremendous attention. Life magazine did a story on her and her political future. And her future appeared wide open. Someone put a sheet of paper in the dorm predicting things about different people. They predicted i would marry a football player. The only thing written in about hillary was that she would be the first female president of the United States. 1969. Pamela brown is joining us now live from new york. Pamela, excellent work on your part as well. This documentary starts with Hillary Clintons days at wellesley. What are some of the other aspects of her life that were about to learn more about. Wolf, this was a wideranging interview with did with Hillary Clinton, looking at the most important aspects of her life so many of us remember and we pulled back the curtains and learned about her personal relationships, why she was first hesitant to marry bill clinton and, surprisingly, she said the fact that it was so clear he wanted to go into politics was one reason he was reticent at first. Then we move our way through to her time in arkansas, to her time in the white house. We talk about the highs and lows during that time and really nothing was off limits. We asked her about what her hardest moment was, whether it was the impeachment proceedings against her husband, the Health Care Initiative, the failed Health Care Initiative or white water and she said none of those was the hardest moment in the white house and we talk about more recent events, wolf, that weve been talking about in the campaign trail, having to do with benghazi and emails and trust and she addresses everything and i asked her toward the end of the interview her reaction to the different narratives of her out there and she laughed and acknowledged the fact that there are these so many different versions of her out there and she finds it amusing and says sometimes she looks at them and thinks i wouldnt like that person either. So this is an up close and personal look at Hillary Clinton beyond policy and politics. Wolf . You had a chance to speak with Chelsea Clinton and get her thoughts about her mom. And a lot of other people who are very close to her. We interviewed around 30 people. People who went to Elementary School with her and those in her inner circle in the white house years and beyond and they gave us this unique insight, particularly Chelsea Clinton in this exclusive interview talking about Hillary Clinton as a mother, just a typical mom taking her to college and obsessing over what shelf paper she should have. Those moments are what i think viewers will look forward to in this documentary. Thank you very much. You can watch two cnn special reports tonight. The essential Hillary Clinton airs at 8 00 p. M.
