Triggering a massive distribution operation thats expected to see vaccines ship within days. And the latest numbers reveal how desperately those doses are needed right now. More than 291,000 americans have now lost their lives to covid19. And tonight the country is facing more than 15. 5 million confirmed cases. That follows the single deadliest day of the pandemic since it erupted here in the United States in january more than 3,100 americans died in just 24 hours. Also breaking 106 House Republicans have just filed a brief in support of a bogus texas lawsuit seeking to overturn the president ial election. President trump just met over at the white house with state attorneys general supporting this effort. Lets get the very latest on this important fda vaccine meeting. Its critical whats going on right now. Cnns sara murray is working the story for us. If the panel votes to recommend the vaccine, full fda authorization, that could follow very, very quickly, right . Thats right. The full fda emergency use authorization could happen at really any point after this Advisory Committee comes through with their vote. And from there it sets off a chain reaction. Were going to see planes, trucks and within hours this ultra cold Pfizer Vaccine going to sites across the country. We intend to act quickly. Reporter within 24 hours of an fda authorization the first Coronavirus Vaccines are set to ship out across the country. Fedex and ups on standby to carry the first batch of nearly 3 million doses from a pfizer facility in kalamazoo, michigan, to nearly 600 sites nationwide. There will be no higher priority shipments in our network than these vaccine shipments. Reporter millions of surchgsurch syringes, face masks. The Monumental Task coming to states as they decide how many doses they receive and when. We have been notified that pfizer shipments will be delayed for week two and week three. Weve not been told what that actually means for us. Reporter one thing is clear nationwide for a while supplies will be extremely limited. Whenever the first shipment arrives of course it wont be enough for every Single Person in maine who may want or need a vaccine. Unfortunately thats prompted us to make some difficult unsavory choices. Reporter itll be steered to Health Care Workers and longterm health care facilities. Staggering their staff vaccinations so entire departments arent suffering the vaccine side effects such as fevers and body aches at the same time. And even those at the front of the vaccination line could still str to wait. Definitely we have to send a message yes, there are a lot of people in that Priority Group and yes we have to get it to you but, no, wont happen on week one or maybe even week two. So patience is going to be the name of the game. Reporter we expect itll likely be essential workers. Thats going to be a hard group tool divvy down, and were already seeing some lobbying going down because Everyone Wants to be considered an essential worker. We saw the Airline Industry today saying these aviation workers should be considered. Clearly the stakes are enormous for everyone. Sarah, thank you very much. Lets get some more on the breaking news right now. Our chief medical correspondent dr. Sanjay gupta is with us along dr. Tom frieden. Sanjay, lets talk about what the committee is made up of right now. Theyve been meeting all day now. Supposed to wrap up fairly soon. Any moment were expecting theyll announce whether or not theyre recommending that the fda officially grants an emergency use authorization for this Pfizer Vaccine. Tell us what they are weighing. Yeah, i think theres a few discussion topics that are still happening right now. Overall safety concerns, obviously, thats always going to be a big topic. What are the safety concerns, and also how is the data going to continue to be collected over the next couple of years. Warning labels another big thing. For example, women pregnant or of childbearing age are they going to be recommended not to get the vaccine or told, look, theres very limited data, you need to weigh the risks and benefits with your health care provider. Someone particularly high risk theyre going to make it clear theres not enough data there. On the other hand, people who have had severe allergic reactions in the past are likely to be told theyre not going to get it. So those are some of the considerations. Also, wolf, these trials, if there is an authorized vaccine what happens to people in the trial who receive placebo . Do they now get to get the vaccine . What about future trial snz will people signup for trials if theres an authorized vaccine . Thats part of the discussion as well. The fundamental question theyre trying to weigh is does the totality of the Scientific Evidence really say the benefits outweigh the risk when it comes to this particular vaccine . A critically important question. Dr. Frieden, as soon as the fda grants this emergency use authorization as its called pfizer will start shipping outs the vaccines. But the cdcs Advisory Committee also needs to signoff on that as well. What is the cdcs role exactly . Basically the fda says it can be distributed. The cdc recommends who gets it first and what should the dosing schedule be. What do you do if the patient doesnt come back at the scheduled time, what do you do if you dont have the vaccine on hand . But this is great step forward, but only one step on a very long road to getting people vaccinated. And there are going to bumps in that road. Theres already been problems with the production. There will be concerns about adverse events just to be careful. Fights about who gets it first. But what we have to understand is that its not here yet. And right now were in the midst of a surge upon a surge of covid. And we have to be as careful as possible as many of us as possible will still be around to get the vaccine when its our turn. Yeah, obviously thats so sensitive and important. Sanjay, this Advisory Committee theyve been meeting all day now and one of the things i assume theyre going to provide is specific guidance for different groups, for example pregnant women and children. Is that right . Yeah, i think were going to see pretty specific guidance. It may be one of those things, again, wolf, where they basically say theres not enough data here to suggest there would be risks and not enough data to suggest there would be benefit. For example, pregnant women really werent in werent included in the trial. There were women who became pregnant during the trial. Theres some data there. Theres some toxicity studies in animals, but not a lot of data. Children under 16 really not part of these trials. Theyre part of other trials so we may get data on them. People who are immune compromised, can the body generate an immune response, is the vaccine going to be recommended for them . The thing in the news a bit yesterday people who have had severe allergic reactions in the past. If you look at the trial design one of things they asked people before volunteering for the trial was had you had some sort of severe allergic reaction. And if people said they did, they were excluded from the trial. So those people really werent studied in the first place. And now were getting some ideas those warning labels that says if you had a severe reaction in the past at least for now this vaccine is not for you. Very sensitive issue because the committee did hear about the side effects of the vaccine. How important is it to communicate precisely the expected side effects and, theyve got to do it in a very transparent pay especially people who have had problems in earlier immunizations. We got this from the analysis the fda itself did of the drug Company Information two days ago and today from the drug company. So this isnt the first time weve seen the actual rates. And the encouraging news is with tens of thousands people vaccinated theres not been any serious adverse events. It doesnt mean there wont be one when hundreds of thousands and millions of people are vaccinated. But after both doses, headache, fatigue, 50 or more. And fever and chills, 10 or 15 . This will make people feel a bit like theyve got the flu for about a day. Just about everybody felt better in a few hours or day or two. In fact, its a sign theres a take that the vaccine is working, that youre immune system has gotten the message and will be ready to fight off the virus if youre exposed to it. How big of a logistical challenge lies ahead when it comes to Vaccine Distribution . Because millions and millions and millions of americans are going to be desperately anxious to get it. I think its going to be challenging, wolf. Operati operation warp speed talks the idea of getting the vaccine from the manufacturing facilities like the one sara murray was talking about in kalamazoo to various states. But then after that states are all sort of triaging the vaccine in different ways. There are some creating these stockpile facilities. In other states the vaccine is going straight to pharmacies and hospitals and things like that. There may be smomebody who qualifies for the vaccine in one state but crosses over and doesnt qualify in another state. Ultimately as you get more and more vaccine hope fal that smooths over, but well see. Theres a lot of things that have to go right here for it to work. Were going to continue our special coverage. Were standing by for this critical fda panel vote for the pfizer Coronavirus Vaccine. Standby for that. Plus President Trump meet with states attorneys general to for a lawsuit. Well share that information with you as soon as it comes in. Meanwhile, theres other news were following. Breaking right now more than a hundred members of the house of representatives, all republicans, all backing a texas effort to try to overturn the results of the president ial election here in the United States. Hard to believe thats what theyre trying to do. Lets go to our chief White House Correspondent jim acosta. The lawsuit is also backed by President Trump, and some attorneys general republicans all from various states. Thats right, wolf. President trump met with those Republican Attorneys general at the white house today as he continues to try to subvert american democracy and overturn election results. The president is being backed as you said by more than 100 House Republicans now supporting a lawsuit filed by the state of texas seeking to throw out millions of votes in key battleground states won by joe biden. But even some of mr. Trumps fellow republicans from texas see the lawsuit as all hat and no cattle. One advisor told me it is, quote, pretty crazy that the president is taking part in this case. Surfacing in a White House Holiday Party the president made it clear he wants the Supreme Court to gift wrap the election for him by siding with a group of protrump state attorneys general out to overturn the will of the people. If they have wisdom and courage were going to win this election. Reporter filing the lawsuit with the support of 18 republican led states texas gop attorney general ken paxton under federal indictment and seeking a president ial pardon wants the Supreme Court to consider a case before the Electoral College finalizes joe bidens victory next monday. Its a state on state action. The only place we can go is the u. S. Supreme court. Reporter pinning his hopes on the texas case the president is still scamming supporters on social media falsely tweeting how can you give an election to somebody who lost hundreds of thousands of legal votes in the swing states . Texas senator ted cruz says hes willing to argue on behalf of the president before the Supreme Court. I think we need a sense of resolution, and we need the Supreme Court to step in and ensure that were following the constitution and following the law. The same cruz mr. Trump repeatedly called a liar back in 2016. The bible held high, he puts it down comes over here starts ranting and raving and he starts lying. Reporter but other Texas Republicans are throwing coldwater on the case from senator john cornyn who said i frankly struggle to understand the legal theory of it to congresswoman kate granger who said i dont think its going to go anywhere. The Atlanta Journal constitution reported the president warned the attorney general for rallying opposition to case after he said it was constitutionally and legally and factually wrong. Georgia republicaness are facing the wrath of Trump Supporters threatening to boycott the election. Some folks are saying theyre not going to show up. I understand them because were pissed. And the administration predicting there could be some 362,000 deaths by january, a reminder of all the times plump downplayed the virus. And i do want them to stay calm and we are doing a great job. Reporter as for that texas lawsuit the Pennsylvania Attorney general has filed a blistering response to that case. In that filing pennsylvania accuses texas of, quote, seditious abuses in the lawsuit. Wolf, it is sounding like a war of words between the states at this point, but at least its just a war of words. Wolf . Jim acosta at the white house, thank you very much. Lets get some analysis of whats going on. Our Senior CorrespondentAbbey Philips is with us, niamalika henderson is with us. And 18 attorneys general are now signing on in support of this lawsuit filed by the Texas Attorney general that seeks to invalidate not a few hundred or a few thousand or a few hundred thousand millions of votes by american citizens. When this farfetched lawsuit was filed did you ever imagine it would receive this kind of support . I must say i didnt, but it looks like the rigged election caucus is growing larger every day, and thats because its political, and thats because these elected officials believe that theres absolutely no down side to supporting donald trump in this ridiculous quest. The only question i would really ask is in supporting donald trump and trying to invalidate these elections are these elected officials willing to say that their own elections were fraudulent and that in fact they should not have been elected, and that their own elections should be redone, recounted, toss sa tossed aside . I would like to have all of them answer that question. I doubt theyre going to do it. But there is no fine line here, wolf. Either youre on the side of donald trump or youre on the side of the constitution of the United States. Abbey, i want to put the names of these republican lawmakers to actually signed onto this there you see it up on the screen. Whether this lawsuit is successful or not so many legal scholars say it will not be successful. We cant ignore what this shoal of support says about the state of our democracy here in the United States. Its hard for me to even utter those kinds of words. Yeah, its really an extraordinary moment that we are facing as a country because there has not i dont think ever been an effort like this to invalidate the votes of so Many Americans for purely partisan political purposes. But i think what people should understand about that list is that one of the reasons that so many republicans signed onto it is because the white house made it pretty clear that President Trump himself would be scrutinizing who was on that list and who was not on that list. He has sent out warning shots to republicans who have been willing to acknowledge joe biden is the president elect and called them rhinos and suggested there would be consequences for them. So its not just a passive thing that all of these people are just saying, yes. I actually do of my own volition want to signup for this, theyre doing it under duress at the white house with the president making calls toficials on this issue not notably not on the issue of the more than 3,000 americans dying every day now from the coronavirus. They want to invalidate millions of votes in four states, wisconsin, pennsylvania, michigan and georgia. And georgia specifically. Lets take a look at georgia. Thats a state and ill put a graphic up on the screen that is led by republicans, a republican governor, a republican lieutenant governor, a Republican Attorney general, a republican secretary of state, a republican chief of voting systems implementation. All republicans in georgia, and these other republicans whether attorneys general, whether the president of the United States, whether members of the house of representatives are accusing these republicans who all validated, they certified the election was fair and responsible, that biden won in georgia. Theyre saying these republicans are simply not doing their job. Theyre simply wrong. These are not democrats theyre accusing of misleading and engaging in a fraud. These are all republicans meeting. They are. And they have incurred the wrath of this president , of fellow republicans who see these folks as rhinos because they are defining this president. The list of republicans you just showed who have signed onto this ridiculous lawsuit that is filed by the texas a. G. And so you have a situation now in gaap where brian kemp has been pressured by this president to call the ledge silateture back into session. You have people who complained about the pressure in this atmosphere for those folks just doing their jobs. They are following the law, following the constitution. As gloria has said they have chosen the constitution in this instance over the president. And it has made the president quite upset. Hes threatening to have primary challenges against some of those folks. And so they are doing smat this president does not like, but it is good for democracy, what they should be doing standing up to this president behaving in a very lawless way in trying to overturn the will of those voters in georgia and millions of voters all across this country. Lets not forget all 50 states and the district of columbia, theyve officially certified the results of what happened in those states. More than 7 million plus vote lead for biden over trump as a result of all 50 states and d. C. , 306 to 232 in the Electoral College. Ive all certified that, but these republicans ignored that completely. Thank you very, very much. Stay with us. Were awaiting a critical vote on the fdas Advisory Panel whether to recommend and go ahead emergency use authorization for pfizers Coronavirus Vaccine here in the United States. The Ohio Republican governor mike dewine, weve got lots to discuss when we come back. And offer the answers that make someone feel truly heard. When you use free sameday delivery at petsmart. Com powered by doordash, or buy online and choose contactless curbside pickup. The season of spoiling is here. Petsmart. Breaking news, an fda Advisory Panel is wrapping up right now a full day of hearings on the pfizer Coronavirus Vaccine. Were expecting them to issue the recommendation momentarily. Well, of course, have live coverage. Stand by for that as we await that major news were joined by ohios republican governor mike dewine. An awful situation whats going on with covid right here now in the United States. I understand you just ex10ed ohios curfew in light of the surging cases, the hospitalizations, the deaths. There is this good news now, the fda advisers are meeting now and we could soon be a step close to emergency authorization with the Pfizer Vaccine. If all goes well when do you expect ohio to start getting its first shipment . Were very excited about it, wolf, and we cant wait to get the news as you say momentarily we hope. We have ten hospitals that are set to get the first shipment. As soon as its shipped out those hospitals are going to be vaccinating First Line Health workers, people who are dealing with Covid Patients every single day. So were very, very excited about it. Are you going to get theinable the number of vaccines you need to deal with those critically important individuals . Well take what we can get. They told us we can get about 660,000 in the month of december. So thats going to allow us to get started on our front line health workers. Its also going to allow us to go into Nursing Homes and start vaccinating workers there as well as residents. Ohio is like most states. Weve been really hit hard in our Nursing Homes. And frankly, i cant wait until we start vaccinating people in those homes because theyre the most vulnerable. Because the logistical challenges are enormous. The super cold storage that is absolutely required, getting this to rural areas. I assume you and your experts, youve gone through all of that, and youre trying to deal with it. Yeah, we are. In fact, were going to deploy the National Guard. We were at headquarters where their National Guard near columbus is actually practicing and breaking down. Pfizer sends out 975 doses, lots, but youre talking the rural areas, the smaller areas and state will have to break that down out of that for some of the hospitals in the smaller areas, some of the Nursing Homes. And so the National Guard will be doing that. A good part of it, though, is going to be shipped directly to the hospitals or shipped directhy to walgreens or cvs whos doing it in ohio. Yes, the logistics are big. Theres no doubt about it. A lot of moving parts, but were ready. I know theres some ant antivaccers. Will you encourage people in ohio to take the shot . I would love to take it early on, but i think its only proper that i wait until its my turn. And so im not in the category of front line workers and im not of course in Nursing Homes, so well wait. As soon as its our turn well do it. I think its great youve got former president s who have all volunteered to do that on national tv. I think thats a great thing. I totally agree, and im ready to get a shot as soon as its my turn as well. Let me switch gears, youre a republican. More than a hundred House Republicans are signing up on an effort by President Trump and 18 states attorneys general not ohio asking the Supreme Court to invalidate millions of votes in four key battleground states including georgia, which i pointed out is led by republicans. Does it concern you to see so many of your fellow republicans lend legitimacy to the push like this to ignore the will of the American People . Ill tell you the truth, wolf, ive not paid much attention to it. I watched a little bit a few mints ago your shoal leading into that. Look, the courts are open, the Supreme Court will make a decision. What ive said throughout this is lets have faith in the electoral system. Lets have faith in the courts. The courts are open. Theyve adjudicated things, you know, allegations governor, i just want to interrupt for a moment because theyre reading the results now from this fda Advisory Panel. I want to listen in. Dr. Ken voted no. Dr. Monto voted yes. Dr. Tripp voted yes. Dr. Wharton voted yes. D mr. Talman voted yes. And that concludes the vote, so we do have a favorable volt, and that concludes this portion of the meeting. So i will now hand the meeting over. Thank you, everybody. Okay, the fda panel has voted to authorize, go ahead and recommend the authorization of this Pfizer Vaccine. Governor dewine, id like you to standby and the vote was in favor of 1 in 4 abstention. They are recommending now to the full fda that go ahead, start districting the vaccine, is that right . It sounds like it, wolf. I was watching that vote very carefully. 17 people voted in favor of recommending this emergency use authorization. Keep in mind this is the recommendation from this committee. The fda still has to actually issue the authorization. 17 people voting yes, four no, one abstention. So pretty overwhelmingly positive in terms of recommending this emergency use authorization, wolf. So pretty big moment considering how quickly this has all sort of transpired, well see what the fda says tonight and tomorrow and likely as we talked about for some time next week we could see this vaccine actually being used, being injectled for the first time in the United States outside of a trial. As you point out almost always whatever this Panel Recommends the full fda approves that it goes to the cdc and then the distribution begins. Is that right . Absolutely. And just to clarify because noted it was 174 with one abstention. It wasnt that people thought it wasnt effective or safe. There was some debate on the committee what about young people ages 16 to 25 do the benefits, outweigh the risks so much so they need an emergency use authorization. It was a very technical issue, and as sanjay says it was overwhelming support for this vaccination. It really appears to be extremely effective and quite safe. And now the challenge is to get it out to first thousands and then tens of thousands, millions of americans so we can begin to get toward the new normal. We assumed, sanjay, that the full fda will meet maybe even tonight or tomorrow and i assume theyre going to accept this recommendation so this process can begin. I think so, wolf. I spoke to the commissioner of the fda, stephen hahn, and thats basically what he said. And as soon as that eua is granted that distribution does begin. As dr. Frieden knows the cdc committees are meeting tomorrow and sunday to determine the who what when. This triggers a lot of movement once the emergency use authorization is granted. Andwise we all know the Pfizer Vaccine was approved in the u. K. And canada. Theyre starting to vaccinate people this week there, so i assume the United States will be next. Absolutely. And one week from today the Moderna Vaccine will go through the same process and well see what the result is for that. So the road to vaccination has begun, but its going to be bumpy, and the vaccines arent here yet, so we all need to be as safe as we can be because the virus has the upper hand. Is there a major difference, sanjay, between the Pfizer Vaccine this panel has recommended be thoerlzed for emergency use and the Pfizer Vaccine. Both need two doses given, what, 3, 4 weeks apart, right . Thats right. Theyre very similar. Theyre both this rel receive lenew platform called mrna. This will be the first time that an mrna vaccine will be introduced to the United States and world. Some have even asked if theyre interchangeable. Theyre not recommending that although Public Health england said it could be done if needed, but thats how similar theyre considering it. Buft its very interesting the way this type of vaccine works. And now the effectiveness that were seeing, its pretty remarkable. You know else is remarkable, dr. Frieden, the transparency. All this hearing this panel was meeting today all day since 90 this morning, it was all being traemed, people could patch it. One issue that is of such great concern is will the American Public have faith, trust in this vaccine . And what we also need is the top experts at cdc along with tony fauci and others speaking regularly to the American People. And thats been lacking for the whole year. The vaccine is new technologies, mrna, and ive heard some people scared about that. If you think about it, its almost like a message that gets sent to your immune system, shows it a picture of what this dangerous indruser the coronavirus will look like and give instructions and then like a snap chat message, disappears. Its a very exciting technology. Hasnt been used by people before. So if tens and thousands of people have already received it and we havent seen severe side effects. Its very encouraging and the start of a long and important road to vaccination. Its critically important. Its a lifesaving development, indeed. And i want both of you doctors to standby. Pete monkeen in michigan where the Pfizer Vaccine is going to be stored right now. Pete, set the scene for us. What is about to happen . Reporter well, wolf, pfizer has been saying all along within 24 hours of emergency use authorization trucks could be leaving here carrying the vaccine. Pfizers largest facility, sprawling complex, 1,300. Acres. The vaccine will be leaving here going directly tool 600 individual locations. We know that ups and fedex will carry these packages that have thermal monitors onboard to make sure its Pfizer Vaccine is at the 100 degree temperature. This is going to be an amazing logistical challenge. A life moment indeed. Were not told the full fda is going to meet on sunday i assume theyll accept this recommendation. I dont know why theyre waiting until sunday. Maybe they want to go through and reveal everything today, is that right . It may be. Any additional points of clarification i thatll thought it would happen sooner as youre intimating as well. Let me just correct. The cdc Advisory Panel the cdc Advisory Panel is going to meet on taensunday, whether to recommend. These are two committees and some of this is overlapping, wolf. The cdc Advisory Committee, acip, they have scheduled meeting together. They were the ones who sort of made these recommendations of Health Care Workers and people in longterm care musilt somebody be at the front of the line in the first phase of the Vaccine Distribution. The fda we dont know when theyre going to meet but i thought it was going to be very soon. It could be any time over the next few day, but i did talk to stephen hahn, the commissioner of the fda a few days ago. And he gave me the impression it was going to happen as soon as possible. Dr. Frieden, you used to run the cdc so youre very familiar with the process. Im now told the Advisory Committee go to the full fda. They will presumably approve it, and then the final step in all of this before its released to the public will be on sunday when the centers for Disease Control and prevention is expect to vote and presumably approve it. But walk us through the exact process. Actually, once the fda gets approved the vaccine can get distributed. The committee is more advising who should get it first. And the phase 1a as its called it pretty straightferr forward. And the nursing home population is particularly important because its been about 40 of all of the deaths. And getting both the residents and staff of Nursing Homes vaccinated as quickly as possible and going to be the single highest impact a population in the vaccination program. And i would hope every state, every community is making sure they have a way to get those populations vaccinated as quickly as possible because really if we would first doses in the next few weeks, second dose three, four weeks later you could get most of the Nursing Homes in the United States protected. And thats going to redulous the risk of death by 40 solaro. So thats crucially important. The only other difference is the temperature that has to come up with. Modernas is just very cold, so you dont to deal with dry ice. And theyre both 90 or 95 effective which is so, so encouraging. So basically the advisy panel has issued this recommendation and the cdc will decide who gets it first. Theyll accept the recommendations of those who are waiting in line. Governor mike dewine of ohio is with us, and thufb been patient. Whats rourl yoe im glad to be close to michigan right now so we hope it gets here very quickly, and this is great news. This provides hope. You all were talking about the Nursing Homes. Our Nursing Homes are still being hit. Over half of the people who died in ohio have died in Nursing Homes, and were all going to sleep a lot better once we start vaccinating people in our Nursing Homes as well as our first responders. Are the numbers really exploding in ohio right now like they are in so many other parts of the country . Over 3,000 americans reported dead in just the past 24 lohour. One third of the people in the icu are now there because they have covid. And some regions of the state where its over 50 . So it tells you where we are. Were in a real crisis in ohio. Were and were doing things. But, yeah, its its a real battle. Yeah. And i assume you are telling folks there, even though the vaccine is on the way, whether its the pfizer or the moderna, in january, they may be considering the oxford o oxford astrazeneca, johnson johnson. Folks still have to be really careful, they got to wear masks, social distance. I assume, you are telling everyone in ohio this is no time to let up, especially, now, as we go into hanukkah, christmas, new years. Thats absolutely right. I held a press conference, today. I said the next 21 days, until we get through the two holidays, all the holidays until we get to the next year are absolutely crucial. We have got to slow this down in ohio. We have got to pull back. One thing i said, look, dont dont eat a meal with somebody who is outside your house. And if you are talking or even close to someone who is not in your residence, in your house, wear a mask. I dont care if its your brotherinlaw or your mom, or who it is. If theyre not in your house, you guys dont live together, you need to wear a mask. So, you know, were making progress with that, in ohio. And ohioans are stepping up and its tough. Theyve been doing this, like they have across the country, for nine months. But, no, youre absolutely right. Theres hope out there. We can see the end. The vaccine is going to be here. Were going to start putting it in peoples arms, quickly, in ohio. But we also know december, january, february, these are going these are going to be tough months and we got to hang in there. And, sanjay, you know, youve said this. Dr. Fauci has said this. Were only now beginning to see the aftereffects of thanksgiving. When people were obviously celebrating thanksgiving. But now, these these numbers a week or two or three weeks later, theyre really exploding. Yeah, its really sad. Were two weeks out, exactly, from thanksgiving. And two weeks from christmas eve, right now. We know, typically, there is a lag time between exposures. We know travel was significantly up that weekend. So, the lag time, two to three weeks. So, were probably seeing the surge of those thanksgiving exposures in the form of new cases, now. And, you know, that thats the tough part. Were hearing such good news today, wolf, but it feels like a little cognitive dissonance. We are well on our way to having an authorized vaccine for covid19 in this country. I didnt think i would be saying that this year, to be bperfectl honest. At the same time, i also didnt think i would be saying were going to a time where 2 to 3,000 people are dying a day of this disease, as well. And those numbers are likely to increase, for a period of time. And then, hopefully, plateau and come dune own as quickly as possible. We dont know, yet, wolf. Some of these projections, as you have seen, theyre pretty dire. Yeah. The breaking news we are following this Advisory Panel by a 174 vote, recommending strongly to go ahead and begin distributing this vaccine. It now goes to a full vote for the fda. They have got to approve it. Presumably, they will. Then, it goes to the cdc. They are going to be meeting on sunday to decide who gets it first. The priorities. They will authorize that. And then, this vaccine, this Pfizer Vaccine, will be distributed, nationwide, hopefully, very quickly to millions of americans and will save a lot of lives. Thats what were all hoping for. Governor dewine, i know you got to run. Thank you so much for joining us. Dr. Frieden, sanjay, well have you back, very, very soon. We are going to continue to stay on top of all the breaking news.
