What are the warning signs and where can you turn for help . Im wolf blitzer. Youre main the situation room were following multiple breaking stories. President trump is meeting with the allies he just antagonized by opposing new tariffs and said russia should be readmitted. Robert mueller had filed a new indictment containing extra charges against Paul Manafort and one of his close colleagues. Well discuss all of this and much more with democrat congressman of the House Foreign Affairs and judiciary committees. Our spore dcorrespondents are s by. Sarah, these are very serious new charges. Thats right. We got an inkling that Something Like this may be coming earlier this week. They are making it official bringing two new charges against Paul Manafort. Reporter tonight Paul Manafort and his business associate, man with alleged ties to russian intelligence are facing new criminal charges after allegedly tampering with witnesses. According to Court Filings the special counsel team is charging manafort with obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice. Meaning they allegedly worked together to try to convince witnesses to commit perjury. Its first time mueller is naming and bringing charges against him. Hes the 20th person to face charges. Fridays move ramps up the pressure to cooperate in muellers probe. Under house arrest for more than seven months manufacture got a glimmer of hope that muellers team might be amenable to allow him to be released on bail. In a sudden shift, prosecutors unveiled the alleged witness tampering and requested he be sent back to jail to wait trial. Theres a bit of dangling the carrot saying were in agreement on bail and they yank it back. That adds to the pressure. Reporter earlier this year manafort was slan eslapped with additional charges in february. Rick gates struck a plea deal and agreed to cooperate with muellers team. After that prosecutors say manafort and kilimnik began reaching out to witness. He is currently awaiting two trials and maintained his snens. If found guilty, the 69yearold could be sent to prison for the rest of his life. I havent thought about any of it. Its far too early to be thinking about that. They havent been convicted of anything. Theres nothing to pardon. Its far too early to be thinking about it. Reporter were still awaiting more news tonight with the deadline of Paul Manaforts legal team to respond to the allegations from earlier this week this manafort tried to witness tamper and respond to the question to await trial. Thank you. World leaders are acting in astonishment. Our chief White House Correspondent is following these developments. Hes in canada. Jim, the president touched off multiple controversies even before he flew to canada. President trump met with two adversaries. He met with both of those leaders this afternoon. Even before he arrived at the summit the president made jaws drop when he declared that russia should be welcomed back in the g7. That was hardly the only alarming comment of the day. President trump has turned this summit into the omg7. The worlds top economic powers gather in canada rattled by the president s trade threats cringed again when he suggested welcoming russia back into what was once known as the g8. Ive been russias worth nightmare. If hillary got in, putin is going man, i wish hillary won. You see what i do. With that being said, russia should be in this meeting. Why are we having a meeting without russia being in the meeting . That left other foreign leaders and members of congress to remind the president that russia was kicked out of g8 for invasion of ukraine, not to mention the meddling in the 2016 election and the poison attack. At the same time were trying to convince our american friends that undermining this makes no sense at all. Reporter senator john mccain said in a statement the president has shown our adversaries the deference and esteem for our closest allies. The willingness to get this done. Reporter the president attempted to make the case that his career in real estate prepared him for nuclear talks. I didnt say that. I said ive been preparing all my life. I always believe in preparation. Ive been preparing all my week. These one week preparations dont work. Just asked hillary what happened to her in the debates. Reporter the president is defending his slap on trade partne partners. We have massive trade deficits with almost every countries. Reporter that has other leaders referring to this as the g6 plus one. Mr. Trump being the odd man out. The relationship is good or better than its ever been. French president tweeted the american president may not mind being isolated but neither do we mind signing a six country agreement if need be. Back in the u. S. Is president is talking about granting more pardons with other celebrity ons his mind like muhammad ali. Got to get it right. Got to get the people. I am looking at muhammad ali. Reporter the problem is its not necessary. The u. S. Supreme court overturned the conviction of ali in a unanimous decision in 1971. There is no conviction from which a pardon is needed. Still the president has another pardon he cant stop talking about for himself. Im not above the law. I never want anybody to be above the law. Yes, i do have an absolute right o to pardon myself. Ill never have to do it because i didnt do anything wrong. Everybody knows it. Reporter the president plans to leave the summit earlier than expect expected. He will miss out on meetings of Climate Change and state of the oceans. He has some oceans to cross to sit down with meeting that may be the most important of his life. He may not be able to try that. Smiles wont work when it comes to negotiating a nuclear deal with kim jongun. Thank you. Thanks so much for joining us. I want to get to the discussion on the two big summits. The g7 summit canada. How significant do you believe this indictment between Paul Manafort and his russian associate are . I think its very significant. When these allegations first surfaced and the filings were made that presented the threat, thats significant. They found probable cause to believe they attempted or obstructed justice. The court will take that very seriously. Its an important Business Partner of mr. Manafort. I think now the court will be faced with a clear question about whether or not he can safely keep mr. Manafort at liberty and not compromise the integrity of this investigation and this case. I think the expectation is he will lose his freedom pending trial because of these new charges. Me could wind up in jail in the coming days. Kilimnik appears to be the person the mueller team described as having ties to a russian intelligence service. How concerning would that be . I think thats very concerning. We should remember this is the 20th person, the third entity now and five guilty pleas. This is an ongoing and serious investigation. This is a Russian National thats been indicted with mr. Manafort who was part of his lobbying practice. I think it should be very concerning to mr. Manafort. The expectation is at some point hes going to feel compelled to come forward and tell everything he knows. This is just going to be dagsal pressure on him to do that. President trump didnt rule out an eventual pardon. That influence the level of cooperation mueller is getting in his inn vevestigation. I dont think theres any question that president has been engaged in the pardon carnival where hes asking people to send names to him. Theres a vetting process undertaken by the department. The president is trying to make it clear, look what im capable of doing. He said i had the absolute power to pardon myself which is not true. Theres a very real question of whether or not he has that ability. I think hes trying to remind everyone, i can do this. Theres lot offense ws everyone, i can do this. Theres lot offense of ways i protect you. They shouldnt forget he holds the key to their liberty. As you know, the president right now is at the g7 summit in canada chastising sloee ining c allies. Whats your reaction and what do you think the long term impact could be . I think the long term impact of this action is very damaging to our country. I think senator mccani said were treating our longest standing allies badly and treating some of our worst a adversaries like long time friends. Part of our ability to have National Security for our country and promote good policies that protect the United States in terms of terrorism and Economic Activity is because of our strong alliances and partnership. People need to rely on the United States and our leadership in the world and have the seven most advanced meet and be starting fights with so many of our key allies and same by the way i dont understand why russia is not at this meeting as if hes completely forgotten they invaded another country and interfered with our elections and democratic elections all around the world. Very aggressive behavior in syria and the list goes on and on. To suggest they should be invited in like the uk and france. Evidence is a fundamental misunderstanding or just ignorance of how dans rugerous russia is. Its confusing to our allies and friends around the world watching this and saying what is going on with the american president and his constant willingness to fight with important allies and proper up and be endearing to some of our worst adversaries. What are your expectations for the president s upcoming summit . I want to hold off on that. The president of the United States now meeting with emmanuel macron. I want to listen in. The United States had a very big trade deficit with the European Union and were working out. Emmanuel has been helpful in that regard. Something is going to happen. I think lit be very positive. We have a positive meeting a while ago on nafta. This is turning tout be an interesting day. We had a very, very good pleating on nafta with justin and his representatives. I want to thank you. I want to congratulate you. Im reading whats going on in france. You have great courage. Youre doing the right thing. Nothing is easy but what youre doing is the right thing. Its a wonderful country. Its a special country. You have a special president that i can tell you. Thank you very much. Thank you. There you saw a nice handshake between the president of france and the president of the United States. Jim accosta has been watching this unfold what ru yore hag . Reporter a Senior Administration official told us it wasnt anything they planned inside the whouite house for th president to roll out this idea earlier today that perhaps russia should be welcomed back in the g7, make it the g8 again. Thats quite surprising. You would think when the president goes out in front of cameras and proposes Something Like that like bringing russia back into the g7 after everything thats happened, that would be something they would talk about in. In a normal white house you would have that kind of discussion. A senior official said that did not happen. As the spray was just ending in flo front of the cameras. The president acknowledged to reporters that he did not discuss bringing russia back into the g7. It just raises this question why on earth did the president create this fire storm earlier today, upset the allies, the uk Prime Minister was wondering what was going on as she was over here at the summit because the president raised this idea of bringing russia back. All his allies in this gathering of world powers just has no appetite for bringing russia back into the fold. Its odd the president would raise that with reporters as hes leaving the white house but not raise it behind the scenes with these other world leaders. Stand by. What does it make to you. It shows how dangerous this practice is of shooting from the hip and saying things that you might not mean or maybe hes trying to communicate thanksgivisomething to the russians. Hes constantly trying the flatter vladimmir putin. You have to wonder why. Why is he so interested in flattering one of the most brutal dictators in the world. Why is he so interesting in pleasing him . When he meets with our allies who understand how dangerous it would be, hi never bothers to raise it. It makes people wonder how reliable and serious the United States is in terms of leadership on stage. Its damaging and causing a lot of chaos. There be clarity and they can rely on. Its been revealed today are beginning to develop an american plan to anticipate they may not be allies of the United States one day and starting to prepare for that. This is very, very alarming and very damage to the long term interests of our country. Congressman, thanks so much for joining us. Thanks for having me. Just ahead, the fall out from todays new indictment of Paul Manafort. Will a judge send him to jail in the coming days even before his trial . World leaders pushing back against President Trumps new tariffs and suggestion that russia should get a seat at the table with them. Were following multiple breaking stories including Robert Mueller filing new charges against Paul Manafort as well as manafort business associate who prosecutors say have tieing with russian intelligence. Lets bring in our political and legal experts. What does this new indictment tell you as someone who used to work in the National Security agency . This is a superceding indictment. This is now an in a bail hearing. This is mueller following up with actual criminal charges. I think demonstrates the degree of trouble that Paul Manafort is in. This adds to the time he may be in jail. The other thing thats interesting is the charges against his coconspirator. This is an individual who has tied to russian intelligence. Acts as a go between during the campaign when Paul Manafort offered to brief a russian ol a oligarch. He might have a lot of interesting information to offer. That hinges on where he is. Hes rumored to be in moscow. These charges at the end of the day are mostly symbolic. Other russians too. Right now the pressure on manafort intensifying to flip. This guy clappears to be the gu who has russian ties. What stands out to you about this guy kilimnik . Access. Go back to famous meeting where you had lawyer nobody knew and did gain access to one meeting with the president s son. That was explosive. Now you have someone who has years of access to a business associate, that is Paul Manafort and manafort become a kpacampai manager with tremendous influence. Whats the background of this intelligence individual identified today . Russian and ukraine. You cant pay for this kind of access in the intelligence business. This is gold. I looked at this and my reaction wasnt the indictment. My reaction was moscow and ukraine had access to a Senior Campaign official who could change campaign policy. Unbelievable. Kilimnik denies any access. Earlier the president was asked about whether he would pardon Paul Manafort or Michael Cohen who hasnt been charged with anything, his long time lawyer in new york. Listen to how the president responded. I havent even thought about it. I havent even thought about any of it. Its far too early to be thinking about that. They havent been convicted of anything. Its far too early to be thinking about it. Joey whats the impact of a comment like that . Clearly the impact would be he hasnt ruled it out. He didnt say no. This is what confounds me about everything. In total objectivity. I believe they have manafort dead to right. If you look at the indictment, which is an allegation of a defense attorney, an indictment means 23 members of a grand jury found reasonable cause to believe a crime was committed and he committed it. I get it. Only a majority. Nothing about reasonable doubt. Stepping back, here is what confounds me. The indictments are detailed. These are cases where they are largely documentary in nature. They are talk about financial transactions. The feds have them. They have gates now cooperating. Hes going to tell them all as to what they were doing. They have chapter and verse. Everything he was doing. He did register. In that event, the charges are compelling and you know what hes facing. Lets be clear about this. The feds charge you with multiple counts. Awe yall you need is one. We know he faces them in multiple jurisdictions. In my mind im saying the only reason hes not playing ball is hes holding out for the president to pardon him. Thats his ace in the hole. If you know the president is going to pardon you, why are you allegedly working with a cospon spir tor to influence testimony to make it seem like you did nothing wrong. It makes me step back and say, wait a second. I thought the reason hes not playing ball with his liberty, go to jail forever, forfeit your provisions and hes saying the reason the president will pardon him. If youre trying to get people to say, i wasnt really lobbying there. We were only lobbying here. That means hes not so sure. Regardless of what the president says, its clear no commitments have been made why would he be trying to influence testimony. Interesting point. Even admits all of this. The president once again saying hes not above the law but he does have the absolute right to pardon himself down the road. He doesnt think that will be necessary because he says hes done nothing wrong. Whats your reaction . The president , i think this tells the us a lot. He likes to flex his muscles. He relishes the role of the executive. If you look at the way he approached the travel ban, when you look at the way hes approached tariffs which his critics will say only congress can impose tariffs and not the president. He loves the executive role and i think by talk about even pardoning himself hes flexing his executive muscles but in way from a messaging an political standpoint. It could really hurt him. He was con templating his potential guilt in this case. Even before the president left the white house, he had some provocative words to say about russia and russias coming back to the g7. Listen to this. Russia should be in this meeting. Why are we having a meeting without russia being in the meeting. I would recommend and its up to them but russia should be in the meeting. It should be part of it. You know, whether you like it or not and it may not be politically correct, we have a world to run. In the g7, which used to be the g8, they threw russia out. They should let russia come back in. We should have russia at the negotiating table. How do you think that will play among the allies. Lets try a few facts here. In midmarch of this year the british authorities, our closest ally on the planet had to convene an emergency meeting because russian backed individuals attempted to murder people on british oil. Thats politically correct . The president cant even meet oneonone with teresa may but call for the reinlugs clusion a russia. Its about shared values. I would say one other thing about American Leadership and the president s inability to lead. You would think going into a Midterm Election the president would propose to the people in this room that is people like the french, canadians, british, many of whom have been subject to russian participation, illegal participation in their elections, stealing data, for example about how america will provide leadership going into future elections. How could we have a conversation like that with vladimir pew tine in the room. Yo i dont think so. I think hooeed some good answe. John mccain has a strong statement reacting to bringing russia back in. H president has shown our adversaries the deference and esteam that should be reserved for our closest allies. They are being treated with contempt. There are other republican who is are expressing the same point of view. Thats right. Rob portman pushed back against the president today. Many republicans staying silent. Privately if you were to survey republican lawyer mamakers in congress, would find they agree with john mccain. Youre not seeing them push back against the president enmass. I think theres a couple of reasons. They might doubt the president is serious about this. Maybe this was an off the cuff remark and he doesnt plan to push hard on this issue. The other part of it is that Republican Voters still support the president and for as long as thats the case youre not going to see republicans going after him on every single issue. They are still picking and choo choosing their battles. When you see this level of tension the United States has with france, uk, canada, our closest ally, the number one trading partner that the United States has other european allies. You wonder what is going on. From your perspective, what do you see . I think its important to note these arent just trade relationships. These are security relationships. These are close allies with whom we have really critical intelligence cooperation and partnership. As we see the erosion of this relationship and the erosion of this relationship over time, we are paying costs in terms of american security. Were ta paising costs in ways that arent necessarily vidsable to the public. Whats unclear is whether President Trump doesnt appreciate that himself or if he just doesnt care. Let me ask phil. You have these tensions over trade and other issue, russia coming back, does that affect the daytoday operation that the u. S. Has with Foreign Intelligence Services of friendly allies . It will not. If your citizens are threatened, your are pushed to provide information at the intelligence level regardless of diplomatic differences. Theres one additional piece. Thats going into conversations about things like the Iran Nuclear Deal when there are tremendous diplomatic differences, youve got to wonder where it will be a trickle down effect on that when the alliance gets together. How do you see all this unfolding . Here is the reality. We have to understand that the president has to that were part of an interconnected world. You need to build allies and foster those relationships as opposed to antagonizing them. Whats going to follow this . Theres another country called north korea as it relates to world peace. Were talking about suissues of tariffs and having people retaliate back. We have seen retaliation back. At the end of the day america is powerful, america is beautiful and a lot of mite but we need goat our allies and keep them and giving them reason to disdain us. Theres more news were following. I want to note the president is preparing to wrap up his time at the g7 summit and fly off to singapore for the first ever meeting between leaders of the United States and north korea. Today we received truly shocking and heartbreaking news that our colleague Anthony Bourdain is dead. He was 61 years old and host of cnn Award Winning program, Anthony Bourdain parts of unknown. His death is a suicide. Were joined by bryan stelter. What do we know about the circumstances of his death . We do know very little, wolf. We know he was found in his hotel room in france early this morning. He was found unresponse ifr aiv the cause of death is suicide. He was found by one of his best friends. I can show you what part of eric shared on twitter later in the day. He spoke about his friend calling him an exceptional human being. So inspiring and generous. One of the great Story Tellers who connected with so many. I pray he is at peace from the bottom of my heart. Many messages like that coming in all day today. Wolf, i think in death as in life bourdain has brought the world together. He tried to show us what we all have in common. He used the simple act of sha sharing a meal to bring people together and think about our common humanity and tragically today hes done that as well. We see such an out pouring here another cnn, all across the United States and all around the world from viewers who feel they have lost a friend. You didnt have to ever meet bourdain in person. Although he was incredible and charming in person. Watching him on television and reading his work, you could feel his presence, you can learn from him. You can be inspired by him. Thats why its such a heartbreaking loss today. So very, very special to all of us. He made the world a little bit smaller. How do you explain the suicide or any suicide for that matter . You spent some time studying this. Any suicide, wolf, is a result of complex forces. What we see often is the person will have dark thoughts that may or may not be apparent to other people and sometimes they are even suppressed by the individual. What happens is its like an ember thats just glowing hot. Some triggering event or a traumatic loss can cause that ember to burst into flame and what happens is at that moment, the stress of the combination of having those dark thoughts and that triggering event keeps them or prevents them from using the good judgment that would otherwise allow them to see that they can get through this. They can make changes in their life. They are resilient people, certainly in this case and that they can then retrieve the kind of help we know we can assure them of having if they work for it. What are the conditions that may lead to this. Well, its always important to look below the surface because what you see is someone who seems successful. He has prestige and hes spoken and everyone is raving about him. Underneath it might be this was depleting for him. Im speculating. I dont know him. I didnt examine him. Many time when you find people thats larger than life, theres an outer self that people are impressed with and theres this inner self that might be full of selfdoubts or might have ambivalent feelings about whats happening. When you look at the gap between what the world expects and wants and what youre feeling, that is where the trouble starts. That stress, heres what happens when you get stressed and anxioused and depressed. Your precortal front is taken offline. Its left out of picture. Youre no longer reasoning and youre telling yourself the world might be better off without me. Sometimes its just pain that causes so much stress. You can tell yourself that if im around im only going to make people unhappy or disappoint them in the end. The reasonableness, the rational aspect of a persons mental capacity can be lost and then they do something stupid that is obviously will cause the people around them, some of them to suffer for the rest of their lives. National Suicide Prevention lifeline. We have the number up on the screen. If anyone has any questions, 24 hours a day. 18002738255. Anthony bourdain overcame plenty of challenges in his life, didnt he . He did. Thats important to recognize, i think. Hes talked openly about his heroin addiction back in the 1980s. He was able to break away from that. He was able to gain work in various kitchens. First scrubbing the dishes and working his way up. He tried for several years to write fiction. Then he broke through with an article in the new yorker in 1999 about his experiences behind the scenes in a restaurant. Thats what led to his book catching and that led to the television shows. He was working his way up, up, up. He has said, he was quoted in the past saying he didnt think hooe hed make it this far. He didnt think he would make it to be alive this long. Described the later years as a gift. A gift to all of us. Someone so generous and teaching so much through his program. We may never know exactly why he decided to end his life and that the partly whats so heartbreaking here. We do have so much we can look back on and learn from thanks to him. Think about his program. He was fearless. He was endlessly curious and thats what he was working on this week. He was in france working on an upcoming episode of parts unknown. He died this week while working on a future episode. Lisa, what trends are we seeing in suicides nationally right now . What can be done about it . Well we know the cdc recently produced a report and the american psychiatrist issued a report. We know they are up. The last decade they have gone up. Since 2006, theyve gone up more doubled each year compared to the first decade. This is whats happening. This is obviously something of great concern. Its very important to prevent a Suicide Prevention hot lines are very important. We have to also look at the conditions that contribute to these suicides. Why do we have an opioid epidem epidemic . There are people talking about the impact of technology. How were alienated even though were linked more. Are we more connected . People will say no. One of the other things id like to stress is we cant say it enough. Increasingly noting the importance of our restoering ou relationship to the natural world. We live in an artificial world. We know all of the impacts of living in a green environment have on reducing stress even and this is an astounding one. When we have certain visuals, for example in nature when we see the ratio of, for example, waves coming in or leaves in front of the wind blowing along with tall grasses and things like that. When we see that, there are nerves that go directly, incredibly to opioid centers. This is where we find a destressing experience that takes us out of ourselves. This is really critical thing and colleagues are increasingly and others in the medical profession are looking at this. I want to read the number one more time. The national Suicide Prevention lifeline. There you see it right now. If you have any issue at call or a loved one or yourself call this number. 18002738255. This evening cnn will have a special report looking back on the life of our friend and colleague. Tune in tonight, 10 00 p. M. Remembering anthony. Well be right back. This weekend, fareed sa kcaa presents a special report on north koreas ruthless leader. Heres a quick preview. Just one reason north korea now stands at the center of the worlds stage. This isolated totalitarian state. Could start a nuclear war. It would explode quickly. A deadly scenario hauntds the greatest military minds. Two unpredictable Nuclear Armed leaders. Just one terrible mistake. Hes just crazy enough for my perspective and unpredictable enough, he might use those weapons. The scenarios i worry about are not where they choose to start a nuclear war, but its where they stumble into one through incompetence or through sheer miscalculation. Fareed, the alternative to the summit is the prospect of war. Tell us about the two faces of kim jongun and the north korean leaders mind set as he prepares to meet the president of the United States. Sfwl you know, president s have often asked for psychological profiles of the leaders they are going to meet. Its not clear donald trump has done this. But it would be well worth doing because this is a very interesting, shrewd man. He comes to power and people doubt that he even has the talent and ability to do it. Hes a kid. Pudgey face, doesnt seem to have background then ruthlessly consolidates power, eliminates all threats to himself. Murders his uncle. Asass that nates him. Seems to have arranged the murder of his half brother. Takes out anyone who has close ties to china because hes w worried the chinese might try to do a soft coe. So this is the guy who by somes assassination of 140 of his top officials. On the other hand, you have the guy who with his wife, have become quite a glam couple in north korea. Theyve been opening up the economy. They have invited k pop, the south korean pop music and of course, hes now reaching out to talk to donald trump. To talk to xi of china. So you see these two sides. Ruthless repressive, determined to consolidate power and of course, deripaskaed to build a Nuclear Arsenal and yet somebody whos opening up, trying to create a more greater degree of openness than north koreas ever had and reaching out to meet with donald trump. Will the real kim stand up. Thats what were trying to figure out. Im sure were going to learn a lot from this special. Thanks so much for doing this. Pleasure, wolf. And be sure to tune in sunday evening, 8 00 p. M. Inky evening for fareeds special report. Also be sure to watch tonight, 9 00 p. M. Eastern for the new edition of the lineup, cuomo. Chris, Robert Mueller returned new indictment tonight against Paul Manafort for obstruction of justice. What does that signal to you about where this russia investigation is going . Raises a third question. It tells us the gamble et of letting manafort know and his counsel that the investigators knew he had been tampering with witnesses and using it as leverage didnt work. This was an unusual scenario. They knew things. Let him know they knew and nothing happened. Then they put in that memo saying were going to mess with your release terms because of what we know. That seems to suggest whatever leverage they wanted didnt come through. Mueller is making connections between russian actors and american. Thats what you see with manafort and the russian who was picked up as part of this ukrainian witness tampering theory that the government has. Then a question it raises is what does this mean about the utility of manafort and giving information to any threads of more damming connections. Between trumps team and the russia interference activities. One of your guests tonight is michael caputo. A former Trump Campaign aide. He know as lot b about what its like to talk to Robert Mueller. You know, we have gotten lucky on the news this week, wolf. Cant always depend on it, but you have to embrace it when it happens. Michael, not only knows a lot about russia, and worked there on the political side, but he knows manafort well and has spoken to him recently and he can give us insight into this beguiling question of why the president of the United States is once again trying to go soft on russia, saying they need a seat at the table at a g7. It just doesnt make sense. Hopefully he can help us understand. Thanks very much and join chris tonight. Qcuomo prime time, 9 00 p. M. Eastern. Thanks for watching. Erin Burnett Outfront starts right now. Outfront next, donald trump takes a stand for russia. This as he publicly fights with americas closest allies with friends like these, who needs enemies .
