Conclusion on. The facts are clear. This is new day with Alisyn Camerota and john berman. All right. Welcome to new day. It is friday, december 13th. Friday the 13th. If it sounds ominous, it should. Alisyn is off. Bianna golodryga joins me now. Thats not why its ominous. Youre not like Freddy Krueger most of the time. This morning the debate on articles of impeachment is in overtime. These are official charges the president asked a Foreign Government to interfere in the u. S. Election then tried to block the investigation into the matter. These are serious charges. The vote was supposed to happen yesterday but republicans worked the hearing so much and so long that overnight jerry nadler said he had enough. Democrats want the vote to be in daylight which does set up an epic few days next week. Something of an impeachment sandwich. A vote on a measure to fund the government will happen on tuesday. The president of the United States will likely be impeached on wednesday. Let that sink in. Then on thursday, the house will have a free trade agreement. Thats a none one. An impeachment sand which. Thats a berman for sure. Were also bringing news from overseas. A sweeping victory and commanding majority for Boris Johnson and his conservative party. The result sets up a long awaited exit from the European Union by the end of next month. More on what this could mean for our 2020 election coming up. Joining us now abby phillip, Jeffrey Toobin, and margaret talev. Jeffrey, it was dramatic overnight. 14 hours of parliamentary bickering ended with the smash of a gavel from jerry nadler who said ive had enough. Were going to vote in daylight tomorrow over articles of impeachment today in just a few hours. And it should not obscure the seriousness of the charges here. These are articles of impeachment. The president is being charged with asking a government to intervene in the u. S. Election and then interfering into the investigation of the matter. How did you see this moment . It is always worth remembering that even in our polarized politics, impeachment does not happen very often. You know, three times since in the last 45 years. Four times in all of american history. Its going to happen again next wednesday. The debate was revealing about what was going on here. I think republicans were doing Donald Trumps work. They were talking constantly about hunter biden and joe biden and the aled corruption that they were involved in. And the democrats were talked about donald trump. And the question is how this battle plays out not really wednesday. I think we know how its going to play out when the vote comes later this morning and the full vote next wednesday. But how the country sees it next november. And abby, yes, there were republican. And democratic members in the same room. But they may as well have been on different planets. You have democrats talking about the president about defending the u. S. Constitution. And you had republicans defending the transcript. And actually at points that still stun me and i cant believe i can still be stunned at this point, there were times they said the democrats were undermining zelensky and calling him a liar and making him look weak as that country is in the middle of a hot war with russia. You couldnt see these sides more further apart. In some ways it was so interesting to hear the kind of talking past each other on the facts of the matter. You had republicans repeating things that we know are not true. For example, that ukraine that the president was so concerned about corruption that he justifiably held up the money even though we know that his own government, the president s own government had certified that corruption was sufficiently addressed to allow that money to be released. So thats just one example of the many factual points that republicans continued to repeat that were not supported by any facts. And then on the other side, you have democrats, you know, continuing to try to train the focus on the president. But its emblematic of how these hearings as important as they are and as important as the fact pattern is, its hard to see them really shifting much many the way of whatever persuadable mind there are that exist in the world left. And its a problem. You know, hearings are important. We want the American Public to know whats going on. At the same time theyre not informati informative. Youre not learning a whole lot because the facts are so muddled and mixed up that its hard for any reasonable person to listen to 14 hours of this and come away with anything that is clear about what is actually going on here. But thats the goal. Thats the republicans goal here. The gop impeachment strategy is to be so annoying that everybody stops listening. Thats the goal there. And again, i think its incumbent on everyone just to remind people of what is actually at stake here. Which is a matter of the constitution. Wuch is articles of impeachment suggesting that the president abused his power by asking a Foreign Government to intervene in the u. S. Election. But if the republicans goal here is to make it so annoying that people lose focus, how do you get that message across . John, thats a good point. If you read the articles of impeachment, theres just a couple, theyre pretty clear. Its not that complicated to understand them. And this is really something that individual American Voters as they consider this in terms of how it shapes thoughts about the election has to do their homework. You cant watch 14 hours of hearings and come away with any sort of clarity. You know, for republicans the kind of play yesterday was to stretch this deep into the night, create a spectacle, make it seem like theater, and then complain when democrats pull the cord overnight. Im not sure you get to have it both ways if your argument is there should be transparency and this should happen in the light of day. Then it creates an easy justification when jerry nadler says do this in the morning. This mesed up the republican talking point. You did the vote in the dark of night, how can you do this vote in the dark of night. That was surely now its you messed up our friday morning. Exactly. Jeffrey, let me ask you because theres debate and has been debate about how many articles of impeachment to bring forward. We know that republicans talking point is they had so few. They only had two. Its such a thin indictment from the democrats. Of course the flipside would have been youre throwing spaghetti at the wall trying to come after this president. But im wondering because the strategy for the democrats seems to be to lay out the most clear, strongest case of abuse with as much of a clear and simple array of evidence as possible. Do you think that this was given what we saw play out over the last 48 hours still the right decision for democrats to make . You know, i think it was an understandable addition. I dont know, in the big picture, i dont think it matters how many articles of impeachment there are. How many people remember how many articles there were against clinton or nixon . All you remember is that bill clinton was impeached and that richard nixon, the Committee Voted impeachment articles then he resigned. Yes, it i think what the democrats did is they gave moderate democrats the easiest path to vote for the articles of impeachment. They dont there were many moderates for whatever reason it never was really clear to me who didnt want to get involved in any evidence regarding the mueller report. This was the path favored by the more moderate democrats. Theyre the ones whose votes are at least theoretically in play. I think they are they were accommodated. But, you know, when the history of Donald Trumps presidency is written, whether its a fouryear presidency or eightyear presidency, what theyre going to say is that he was impeached. The number of articles i dont think really matters. I just want to leave people with a flavor of what happened last night. To see what were talking about here with republicans asserting things and then the democrats sort of explaining things. Watch. We had two hearings. None of which featured fact witnesses. There were 12 fact witnesses who testified during the intel hearing. Now the American People know there simply wasnt a crime committed here. And there shouldnt be an impeachment here either. There are no crimes here . The president committed the highest crime against the constitution by abusing his office. No pressure in the phone call. Mr. Zelensky has said that repeatedly. Of course he said he wasnt pressured. The United States is a powerful nation on which his nation is dependent. He has a gun to his head. These were the moments of civility, by the way, in the hearing yesterday. So after the House Judiciary Committee votes this morning and they will approve these articles of impeachment, we thousanow knt week there will be a vote to impeach the president of the United States on wednesday. That is an historic moment as Jeffrey Toobin keeps on pointing out. Wednesday in the middle of a vote on a spending deal and a trade deal. After that, it will go to the senate for a trial. Where in order to remove from office it takes a twothirds vote. That is not likely to happen. The makeup of that trial is still under discussion. And Senate Majority leader Mitch Mcconnell last night basically told us that hes making the decisions about how to run the trial with the defendant. Listen. Everything i do during this, im coordinating with white house counsel. Well be working through this process hopefully in a fairly short period of time in total coordination with the White House Counsels Office and the people who are representing the president. In total coordination with lawyers for the defendant. And Mitch Mcconnell and every senator will take this oath which i will read to you, abby. I solemnly swear that in all things appertaining to the trial of the impeachment of donald j. Trump, now pending, i will do impartial justice according to the constitution so help me god. This is one of those cases where mcconnell is willfully violating norms we have about his conduct or what its supposed to be in this setting where hes supposed to be impartial. In order to send a very clear message to the president which is, stay out of it. We are working together. I am trying to help you. That is the message to the. The problem for mcconnell had been for days the president had wanted something very different from what he wanted. Trump wanted a show. He wanted witnesses. He wanted to be vindicated. What mcconnell thinks is the right strategy politically for his members and the president is to just get this thing other with. By going on fox last night hes saying im on your side here. Take a step back. Were working with you. This is going to be done and you will be aconvicted. And hes doing it even though he knows that that is not what he ought to be saying at this moment. But times have changed here in washington. I think this is just another example of that. The question is whether the president will heed that advice and that warning from mcconnell. Margaret, nancy pelosi said yesterday that she will not be whipping votes and that members of her caucus should be voting their conscience. What does that tell you . Tells me she has enough votes to pass it. They dont think they need to whip votes because number one, the whip is not going to change any minds. Two, shes the speaker of the house and wants to remain so. She has to maintain the majority. And number three, they think the ballpark range of what were talking about here may be in the neighborhood of four to seven defections and for reasons that will become obvious when you look at the map and where they voted in the last election. In the end is putting the hammer down really going to sway those lawmakers . And is swaying those lawmakers going to help her end goal . She was never the hugest fan of doing this anyway. But now it has to happen and as long as they can pass the baton to the senate, i think she feels shes done her job. Shes looking out for those moderate members as well. Last wo rd . Nancy pelosi is running this show. Remember whats happening on thursday. The trade vote with mexico and canada. So she has been determined to show the public that the house of representatives is not just doing impeachment. They are doing other things. So right on top of impeachment, theyre going to do this trade deal so her members can do back to their comments saying, look. Were not just doing impeachment. We are doing important work. Its just indicative of how much nancy pelosi is running the house of representatives. They can walk and chew gum at the same time. John called it an impeachment sandwich were going to see next week. With cheese. Mayonnaise or mustard . Cheese. Extra cheese. All right, panel. Thank you. More breaking news overnight. A resounding victory for britains Prime MinisterBoris Johnson. British Prime MinisterBoris Johnson and his conservative party won a commanding majority in the United Kingdom. This was a wipeout election. John avalon is here to tell us why here in the United States democrats should be paying very close attention. Sir . Absolutely. Democrats should be paying close attention to the labor partys brutal beating in the uk elections last night. Because its a cautionary tale as they prepare for the 2020 primaries. On the one side, the uk had a charismatic nationalist with a truth telling problem. Also that labor should have been primed to take back 10 downing street. But they decided to stick with a socialist jeremy corbyn. And corbyns message on brexit, promising to spend more than a hundred billion remaking society. But in american context, he makes Bernie Sanders look like bill clinton. But he was beloved by the partys base and young voters on social media. Despite polls showing corbyn was the least popular Opposition Leader in a half century, they decided to take a leap. Not so much. Last night led by corbyn since showing since 1935. They lost strongholds throughout the middle of the country. Look. Even in a parliamentary system, elections are compared to what proposition. And Boris Johnson with a clear message on brexit cleaned up. Delivering hate tony blair only something no other labor leader has done. Before and after him has lost battling. In just a few hours after a night of high drama, the House Judiciary Committee will vote to advance articles of impeachment to the full house of representatives. This was supposed to happen last night, but chair jerry nadler gavelled out so they can do the vote in daylight today. Joining me now is congressman seth moulton. I think people can lose sense of whats at stake here in the screaming and shouting. Whats important . What do you think people need to take away against these very serious matters . The only thing that matters is that the president of the United States broke the law. And he did so in a manner thats worse than any other president in history. He rigged hes trying to rig our elections by getting a foreign ally involved. Just so that he can, you know, for his political benefit. And the founding faurts were very clear that they were frightened of foreign involvement in our election. I dont think they imagined one of our own president s would try to rig our election with foreign help. Thats what trump has done. And so all these other political arguments attacking the process, attacking some of the witnesses. This is what the republicans are doing. Theyre throwing smoke grenades to distract peoples attention because they cannot defend the president s behavior. If the message is so clear and if what is at stake is so clear, why is it that at least in some parts of the country, it doesnt seem to be getting through as clearly as you would like. There is this poll from wisconsin. Should President Trump be impeached and removed from office . Yes, 42 . No, 50 . If its clear to you, why isnt it as clear to everybody . First of all, we live in very polarized times. Its tribal times. People are getting in their camps and holding firm and a lot of people dont want to listen to reason. The second is that republican tactics are working. Right . Their smoke grenades are getting attention. And people are talking about things that are not related to the president s behavior. But we have a constitutional duty in congress to hold the Administration Accountable to have impeachment hearings if a president of the United States breaks the law. And thats whats at stake here. Thats what matters. Thats the only thing we should be focused on. Weve been talking about that this morning. To make the process so annoying that people stop paying attention. Thats not process. Its not really what these charges are about. The house in all likelihood next wednesday and youll have a vote in this and this will impeach the president of the United States. Thats the third time this will happen in our history. Next month there will be a trial in the senate. Senate Majority Leader Mitch Mcconnell told us overnight what he thinks the outcome will be. Listen. The case is so darn weak coming over from the house, we all know how its going to end. Theres no chance the president s going to be removed from office. We all know how its going to end. Theres no chance the president will be removed from office. Now, youve written about this next question, so i want your take on this. Given that the outcome is likely inevitable, why then is it worth it to go through this . Because this is not about politics. This is about doing the right thing by the constitution. And the oath that we all took in congress. Whether house or senate is to protect and defend the constitution of the United States. Its not an oath to the president. Its not an oath to the speaker of the house or the majority leader in the senate. Its an oath to defend the constitution. Now, the senate, of course, theyre supposed to act as judges. And you might say that the majority leader mcconnell is the presiding senior judge. Hes just rigging the trial right now. Have you ever seen a trial where the judge comes out ahead of time and says, well, i know whos going to win. Thats how corrupt this is. Its a corrupt process in the senate care of the republicans. Not care of the democrats. But the Democratic Party is going to continue doing whats right. Which is following the law. Focusing on what the president did. Prosecuting him for his actions. Which youll notice mcconnell never defend. He doesnt get on tv and try to defend what the president did, because he knows its so wrong. Is the chief justice of the United States who will preside over the trial in the senate with the senators acting as jurors. But even jurors shouldnt necessarily be talking to lawyers for the defendant which is what mcconnell has done. I want your unique take on something. You have served overseas in combat for many years before you got into politics. If youre sitting overseas right now and youre watching on television the fighting thats going on in the House Judiciary Committee, what are you supposed to make of that . Youre over there defending the United States and this is whats happening in the United States. Most importantly you want a commander in chief that you can trust. Someone that you know will do the right thing. And i think its disillusioning to have this discussion about a commander in chief who seems to show more loyalty to russia than to our own democratic process. And thats disillusioning. That should be disillusioning to everybody. With can focus on the fighting, but the true thing at stake here is the president of the United States. I disagreed with president bush. I didnt like his decision to send me and my friends to war. But i never imagined that george w. Bush would literally be spreading russian propaganda trying to use russias excuse for meddling in the 2016 election which is to say that it was actually ukraine that did it. A completely debunked conspiracy theory. To see the commander in chief, my commander in chief peddling that theory has got to be so disillusioning for our troops. As many disagreements as i had with george w. Bush, i never imagined he would do Something Like that. Thats how high these stakes are. And its why its so important that we hold donald trump accountable. If you were in congress, you were likely our political junk chi like the rest of us. And you may have been up last night watching the judiciary hearings. And the United Kingdom results. To be clear, i was not. I was up last night because my 14monthold daughter was up. The young child exception to the rule. But youre aware of the United Kingdom election where the labour party wiped out. There are people this morning thinking theres a lesson in that for the Democratic Party. Be careful, people suggest, about going so far left. I think in these populist national times. We need leaders who will bring people together. And we need a nominee in the Democratic Party whos going to bring america together. Someone who can relate to all the different parts of the country. Thats why i ran for president. And, you know, this is a time when sometimes people who are talking about unity dont get very far in our elections. And so im sitting here with you this morning. But thats the kund of leader that i think americans want on both sides of the aisle. Do you see someone in the democratic primary who fits that mold right now . I think there is a difference between leaders who are exacerbating what we have. As far left to the right. Im not going to name names. I havent endorsed anyone in the primary yet, but i think thats what we need to be looking for. We need to look for someone who can bring us together and truly lead us forward. We dont need a nominee on either side. The president of the United States spent the morning tweeting about a 17yearold woman whos a nominee for the nobel peace prize, greta thunberg. A true hero to so many people around the globe because shes focused on the future. Shes bringing people together and getting us unified to tackle Climate Change. And we have a president whos dispaerraging her. Lets get someone who can lead th this. Seth moulton, thank you. Come back. A congressman but first and foremost hes a father. Weve all been there. Efforts to recover some of the victims bodies will continue this weekend despite the serious risk of yet another blast. Cnns will ripley is live in new zealand with more. Reporter bianna, that number 15, the reason we can say that now is because six bodies were recovered from white island in the Early Morning hours here local time. And it was a create i have kind of plan they came up with. It took three days, lots of meetings. What they did in the end, the new Zealand Defense force enlisted their bomb squad, the people who would take apart explosive devices in full gear. They left from a frigate and went directly to the spot where a drone spotted bodies. And they came back here where they were put in six coffins and put in a room. And the family members who had gathered here had an opportunity to sit in a room with the closed coffins. But the bodies have not yet been identified. They were then flown to auckland hospital and that process is underway. Imagine if youre one of these family members basically sitting in this room not knowing if your loved one is in one of those coffins or theyre one of the other two bodies still believed to be on white island. One was spotted floating in the water but it was too dangerous to retrieve it. The other body, they simply dont know where it is. Imagine the agony these families are still enduring right now. They still dont have the closure. It was an important step forward. The crews will be back out searching in the Early Morning hours here. It is unimaginable. Also a reminder of what a Dangerous Mission this is now. As you said, there could be more eruptions to come. Were thinking of all those families, will. Thank you. A new trade agreement between the United States, mexico, and canada has American Farmers hopeful that their darkest days are over. And theres new optimism of news of a possible u. S. china trade deal on the horizon maybe as soon as today. Vanessa yurkevich joins us now with that. Reporter good morning, guys. This deal usmca is a political win for the president. But how do farmers feel about it . They have been badly hit by the president s trade tactics in the past. But now theyre telling us in this key state of michigan that they are cautiously optimistic and say this is a small victory. Its the morning milking at horning farms. Heres a friendly cow. Reporter for five generations, 365 days a year, jeff hornings family has been producing dairy in michigan. Come on, girls. The past five years has been difficult. Weve had cycles in the past where its been extremely bad. But it lasts maybe two years. To go for four years was almost unbearable. And it has been unbearable for several. Reporter with a hand shake deal on the new nafta, usmca, a glimmer of hope. I was surprised, actually. Getting stuff done in Todays Congress has not been very quick. Theres been a lot of political moves rather than action. Id be excited if it got done. Reporter farmers stand to gain a lot from the deal. Especially dairy farmers. The United States has lost almost 3,000 dairy farms in the last year. Among the most, here in michigan. Nearly one in seven. But now canada has agreed to buy more dairy while eliminating pricing models that allowed its farmers to undercut u. S. Dairy farmers. Who is this is a win for . Democrats . Republic republic republicans in. If they get it signed off, itll be a win for the people. Reporter supported by farmers with the promise he would help with trade. About twothirds of the states agricultural exports went to mexico and canada in 2018. Were only 42 miles from canada right here. And so our ability to compete with canadian product coming in, imported into michigan is important. We need to be able to be on a level playing field. Reporter jason rulig says usmca is a small victory during one of the most challenging times in farming. But the agreement fails to help specialty farmers like him. We do a lot of the hot peppers. Reporter who rely on foreign labor for his fields. If we dont find a way to address the shortcomings in a guess worker program, were going to be nonexistent in three years. Reporter lori aisley grows two crops hurt by the trade problems. Its going to be a win. Not as big as an agreement with china would be. But a significant one. Reporter usmca wont solve all of her hardships on the farm, but it gives her hope theres an end in sight. Which we have been talking about for over a year, seeing it move forward certainly paves the way, so to speak, for us to say okay lets move onto the next step. Lets see if we can take this and replicate it with china. Reporter now, it looks like the house is going to be taking up usmca next week, but the senate is probably going to have to push this off into 2020 and thats because of impeachment, guys. I spent a lot of time with farmers and they are for stoic people. This is about excited youre going to get from them right now. Another reason theyre holding back a little bit is theyve been burned before. Especially on this china deal. The back and forth. And the big thing is if the president and congress can push usmca through next year and this china trade deal, its going to be a huge win for farmers and a huge win for the president. You spent so much time out there talking to farmers about this. I am curious. We talk about it here and its an abstraction. For them, its really not. Life and death, yes . Yes. These numbers that they watch on their screen, the markets moving, their corn prices, the soy prices. I mean, a 50 cent move to them is huge. So when youre talking about trade in this big abstraction between foreign countries, for them cents on the dollar matter. And they are watching this so closely. And they really want these deals to go through. But as i said, in the past they know the democrats and the republicans sort of play ball with this. So theyre cautiously excited about that. And its really important for americans to get an eye into how important farmers and the work they do is to the overall economy. And how this has impacted them. And if anybody deserves a break with its the American Farmers. Hopefully this is the holiday gift theyve been waiting for. It would be a Big Christmas gift for them. The funeral was tough, not only because of the normal crying and all of those components of it, but when you saw her oldest son, he was 11, very cute kid that you just wanted to hug. He was sitting there with a box of tissues and they said today was his 11th birthday. His life will never be the same. Its just a really sad time for jersey city, for that community and for the country and unfortunately they have to go through this. The investigation is ongoing. But this has been identified as perhaps both terrorism and you want to focus on the hate crime aspect of it as well. And i want to play some sound. You mentioned about the specific issue just earlier this week. As the world is watching, its important to call it antisemitism and hatred and domestic terrorism. Whatever it is, but you need to call it out for what it is. Why is it important to call it out as antisemitism. Jersey city like new york city is built on its diversity. People need to realize if antisemitism can exist in a place accustomed to diversity it can exist anywhere. Any day and moment you dont call it out, youre wasting an opportunity to bring attention to it because theres less eyes focused on it. Im glad they finally did it yesterday. This is something your two senators, bob menendez and cory booker, spoke out as well on. They issued a statement. What stood out was this line. They said new jersey is the most diverse state in the nation where we take pride in welcoming people of different faiths and backgrounds and live together as neighbors, friends and coworkers in pursuit of our shared common goals. Our strength is rooted in our common differences and ability to worship freely. There is no room in our communities or our hearts for this evil. Not today, not tomorrow, never. Why im so glad were talking about this is this has been covered extensively here in the new york area and the tristate area. But this is a story that had there not been impeachment going on and all of these other political headlines, really would have been front and center. What is your message to other mayors across the country that may not be mayors of community as diverse as jersey city. Antisemitism and hate and racism exists in every community and we need to be aggressive in calling it out. Its the only way youll push down on it. We tried to do that in jersey city. And the one final point is that even in all this darkness, theres a little bit of light in that there was directly next door, 30 children. One can assume that was probably the intended target, so it could have been much, much worse. What were mentioning about how this could have been much worse because you see the shooters crossing the street, walking into the store. It does appear they knew where they were going and they were targeting specifically areas where there would be jewish people. No question on that. They drove over a mile. A lot of targets they bypassed on the way. Targets near the kosher market they bypassed. They had a lot of ammunition. They were in a standoff huge arsenal. So they had intentions of doing more than murdering three people, and that was not a secret location. Thats a known location really where the Jewish Community congregated. So it was no question a hate crime. No question rooted in antisemitism. More and more information will prove out that point and im happy were calling it for what it is. Any tragedy like this is personal for a mayor, but its especially personal for you given your background. You, yourself, are jewish. Your family came from romania, neighboring to where im from, moldova, and your grandparents are holocaust survivors. Im wondering if you turn to them in this week as you try to understand or grapple with the situation as it pertains to antisemitism and what words of wisdom or comfort did they offer you . Ill tell you that i had 35 members of my immediate family taken to auschwitz, of which 20 of them were put into the gas chambers. So antisemitism is no stranger to my family. My family emigrated here after world war ii and the only thing that my parents stoaid to me isy mom called me up and said she was proud of me. We always love to hear those words from our parents. Youre sitting jersey city, were jersey strong here. This is such an important story. Im glad youre here to talk about it and the steps youre taking to help your city heal and recover. John . Great discussion, bianna. This morning, we will see a major vote on impeachment. New day continues right now. The committee is in recess. The Committee Vote on articles of impeachment against President Trump delayed until this morning. We suspect there was some strategy to try to drag us into the middle of the night. We want to do it so everyone can see whats going on. When youre nervous about next fall a election you have a rigged and returned process. Facts matter. I hope that each and every one of us agree at least on that simple point. Words cannot describe how inappropriate this was. They have one thing their hatred of donald trump. To protect this president at any cost is shameful. This is new day with Alisyn Camerota and john berman. Good morning. Welcome to your new day. It is friday, the 13th. You always invite me on quiet days. Its 8 00 in the east. Alisyn is off. Bianna golodryga joins me this morning. The breaking news. The debate over articles of impeachment is going into overtime. Charges of abuse of power and obstruction of justice will be approved shortly by the House Judiciary Committee. The thing is, it was supposed to happen yesterday but the republicans work the process so much and for so long that as midnight approached, chairman jerry nadler finally said enough. The committee is in recess. Mr. Chairman mr. Chairman, this is this is the Kangaroo Court that were talking about. All designed to obscure what is at stake here. Allegations that the president pressured ukraine, a Foreign Government, to influence the 2020 u. S. Election and then that the president tried to withhold evidence of his alleged crime. If that wasnt enough, theres more breaking news. Overnight, a stunning landslide election victory for one of President Trumps biggest allies. British Prime MinisterBoris Johnson. His conservative party now has a commanding majority. Its largest since margaret thatcher. The win guarantees the country will exit the European Union very soon. First, were going to talk to someone central to this mornings Impeachment Vote on capitol hill as well as last nights move to delay the Committee Vote. Democratic congressman ted deutch is a member of the House Judiciary Committee. We heard you speaking several times yesterday, congressman. Thanks so much for being with us. We thought this vote was going to happen last night in the committee. We were all staying up late. And then the chairman
