Dont forget that just being floated and named doesnt mean that person is likely to get the job. There are a lot of reasons to put someones name out there. Flattery is one of them. These people showed fierce loyalty. Many think they should be rewarded. It is not a quid pro quo. They stood up for donald trump. They werent looking for jobs when they supported trump. The markets are saying on day one he can get tax reform and infrastructure and tax cuts. You say that may be too aggressive. Hell get it, christine, but the issue is when. I tend to think later than sooner. I think he will take whatever paul ryan sends him, frankly. He will not do a deep dive into the weeds on the Capital Gains rate. I think there will be anxiety in the markets about the Feds Authority being challenged. What about the relationship with congress, greg . A lot of people asked me these Republican House chairs and senate chairs in congress will stand up to trump on matters they think are important. What evidence do we have of that . To me it seems likely they will cater to his agenda and theyll roll. Like i said at the beginning, you under estimate him. I think members of Congress Finally get that. I think they will basically do whatever paul ryan and priebus and Mitch Mcconnell want. They will all be on the same page as trump. What does that mean for things that matter like the deficit . The deficit has been the thing that has been paramount importance for people for a long time. Including the republican party. Will they give that up . I think the deficit is a real problem in the turn of the next decade. We have two or three years where the markets wont freak out over it. Yields will go higher. This president doesnt care that much about deficits. It wasnt long ago he said he could get rid of the National Debt in eight years. Something that everyone knows is impossible. The question is which donald trump will you get . Candidate trump or as president obama calls it pragmatic donald trump . The major priority is growth. Jobs growth. Fewer regulations and tax reform.
