Certainly there are knocks on both sides. Thats why you saw that being ripe material for the candidates. Im not sure at this point they can shut off their brain that is saying go after each other. Im not sure it is the jokes or the delivery. Lets talk about speaker paul ryan. A good cnn political article on cnn. Com that talks about bart meadows. He is with the House Freedom caucus. One of the 30 members of the caucus. He said the effort to remove the speaker is picking up steam mainly because of people calling into the office in North Carolina. And also because of some gop lawmakers who are furious at the fact that the speaker is not adamantly supporting donald trump. A lot of pressure. Absolutely. Remember, paul ryan didnt exactly run for speaker. When boehner stepped down, there were other candidates and the Freedom Caucus, the group of 30 to 40 members, who have sort of stood as a group and pushed their partys leadership and 200 other members of the party in the house in the direction they want them to go. They stood up to the nominees and paul ryan came in as a savior. He would only step in if his vote would be a lock and named the speaker. He didnt want to campaign that hard for it. It is not surprising to see the Freedom Caucus look once again to get some leverage over him. There is frustration with the way he has handled the donald trump issue. I think on both sides of his partys wings. Once again, we see the members lobbying to get paul ryan to come in their direction. It will be really interesting to see after the election how he navigates this and whether he even sort of wants to deal with this mess again.
