For the next several hours there was a standoff between the suspect and police. At one point two officers were held up on the second floor. They were able to escape by late evening with the help of swat. Six officers were injured and they were eventually released from the hospital. A seventh officer was in an accident. They tried to speak with the suspect. They were met by gunfire.
