The religious freedom law has been in place for over 120 year and so the absurd claims that the media has been portraying are mere conjecture, but what we do know is that the freedom laws benefit all american and all faiths in all different kon texcontexts so that the suggestion is that this is about one current debate is not reality, and what we do know is that the law does, and it is not about picking winners or losers, but it is a process to give a fair hearing, and making sure that if the government is going to force someone to choose between everything they own, their livelihood and their retirement and everything that they own and their religious conviction, it needs to have a compelling interest to do that and do it in the least restrictive way. And the law, kristen, it discriminates, because if it didnt, what is wrong with putting language in there or into the states constitution as well that says that you cannot discriminate against the gay and lesbian people . This law is about religious freedom, and bigger than the current debate. You are not answering the question what is wrong with it if it is not about discrimination why not put the language in there . You are not forcing to have someone against their religious beliefs.
