Them out at that point. As it was, we did not find any animal remains. Do you have any idea how many people that were looking at yet . No, we dont. You know, there is a 69 teske process to still that and i wish it were very fast, because i think a lot of people would really like to know the families would love to know that information. But, unfortunately, its going to take months of analysis to start to get a refined estimate. Sorry, just one last question. Do you have a time lean for bringing back the remains and ask you tell us what it was like to work with the north koreans on this part of the process. Have they been working with you if good faith every step of the way . Okay. So the first question is, he mentioned were in the process of planning next stems. So we cant say we have any time line today for bringing back more remains. We are hopeful that we will be in the not too distant future. I will say, though, in terms of having worked there. I worked there in the past during the 1996 to 2005 years. I spent a lot of time in the field there. Then i went in with our team on july 27th and there was a very different feel to it this time. It was a much more friendly, welcoming and collegial approach this time compared to the way it used to be. Thank you. Thank you, director. Looking ahead to next week, ambassador bolton will meet with officials in israel and ukraine as well as with hess russian counterpart in geneva as a followup to the helsinki summit to discuss a range of Important National security issues. Lastly, we extend our prayers to those families injured and deceased after the tragic bridge collapse in genoa, italy and the attack in london the president condemns this horrible attack on to provide assistance to the dy United Kingdom wind chill that, ill take questions. John. We heard from the president via twitter on omarosa describing her as crazed, a crying, low life a dog. Is this anyway for a president to talk about any american let alone somebody he hired and made the highest ranking africanamerican woman in his white house . I this i the president is certainly voicing his frustration with the fact that this person has shown a complete lack of integrity, particularly by the actions following her time here at the white house. Why did he hire her . Why did he hire somebody he described as a dog. The president wanted to give her a chance and he made clear when general kelly came on and he voiced concerns that this individual didnt have the best interests of the white house and the president and the country at heart. The president said, do what you can to get along, if you cant, he gave him full authority to carry out the decision to let her go. Steve. What is the strategy in continuing to respond to the charges . Why does he just ignore it . Look, i think hes made again the frustrations, i think all not only those of us here in the white house, but frankly i think most of america would be happy to ignore it. Unfortunately the individuals in this room continue to create a large platform for somebody they know not to have a lot of credibility, for someone they frankly didnt give her a platform in this white house. It wasnt until this individual started to negatively attack this president and this administration and try to tear this entire place down that she received the type of platform and rollout that shes getting. I think it would be great if every Single Person in this room and every Single Person in the Administration Never had to talk about this again. We actually got to focus on the real policies a and the real things that not matter just to people in this building but certainly all americans, africanamericans, hispanics and everybody in between. I think that would be the best thing that we can certainly do for our country. Jill. What do you sa toy critics . You see his attacks on omarosa as a part of a pattern of attacking prominent africanamericans, criticizing don lemon, maxine waters, Football Players protesting racial injustice, dont know what theyre protesting . Look, the president just has absolutely nothing to do with race and everything to do with the president calling out someones lack of integrity. The idea that you would only point a few of the things that the president has said negative about people that are minorities, if fact is the president s an equal opportunity person that calls things like he sees it. He always fights fire with fire and certainly doesnt hold back on doing that across the board. Have you time nda. Im not going back and forth who signs an nda. I can tell you its common for a lot of employees to sign ndas, including in government, particularly with anyone with a security clearance. All right. Unless there is another andy. John may be happy to go by you. That means he gets to take your question, but. The president said he kept omarosa on despite complaints from colleagues because she was personally supportive of him. Sorry, i cant hear you. He said he kept her on despite complaints about her behavior because she was personally supportive about him. Is that true of any other white house officials work income this white house right now . Im not aware of it. Sense you dont want to talk about omarosa. Well do our best. Do you have a reaction to president erdogan calling for a ban on u. S. Electronics i can iphones and would he consider a similar ban by americans . I certainly dont have a policy announcement at this point. Our colleague at reuters reported the u. S. Is warning turkey of increased pressure. I was wondering do you have details on how that was conveyed, what additional stems might look like and if the u. S. Would take steps be every the hearing for the detained american pastor october 12th . How the information from turkey was keefd e received or the United States to turkey . I can tell you the at the tirkish ambassadors turkish ambassadors reques ambassadors, john bolton continued to raise those questions. The president encouraged israels government to release the turkish in july and could that attribute to his frustration with erdogan not releasing [ inaudible ]. Certainly the president has a great deal of frustration on the past that general brunson has not been released and employees of facilities have not been released. We will continue to call on turkey to release those individuals. Does the president or this white house believe it is a violation of department of justice protocol if it goes beyond september 1st . Im not going to say that we would say necessarily a specific violation. I think we have been clear not only do we but the American People want this to wrap up. John. Thank you, sarah. Two questions on turkey. As the relationship between the president and the president erdogan grows proiferous. My question very simply is are we going to see the restoration of the readouts on the calls between the president and other World Leaders . That was term natd on the day after terminated on the day after president erdogans election. All tow we know he, the president made a congratulatetory call to him. There has been no readout since. Is that going to be restored . Certainly, we will keep you posted not just on calls with turkey but other state of head calls and provide readouts when we have them. The taliban has been on a surprise offensive. Theyve killed about 100 Afghan Security forces, a couple dozen civilians, as far as we know. The president was visited with the tenth Mountain Division fort drum. They served in afghanistan. Does this new offensive, is he still committed to his strategy he outlined a year ago to afghanistan or has this new offensive given him maybe a different approach might be needed . Certainly no announcements or chalgs changes from his last rollout in august. Have you asked the president if hes ever used the n word. The president directly addressed that during twitter. You are kefr to him. I can say ive never heard him. Did you ask him . I didnt have to, he addressed the American People all at one time. Why dont you ask him directly . Again the president asked that directly on twitter today. Can you stand at the podium and guarantee the American People will never hear donald trump utter the n word on any context. I cant guarantee anything. I can tell you the mr. President addressed this question directly. I can tell you that ive never heard it. I can also tell you that if myself or the people that are in this building serving this country every single day doing our very best to help people all across this country and make it better, if at any point we felt that the president was who some of his contradiction claim him to be, we certainly wouldnt be here. This is a president who is fighting for all americans, who is putting policies in place, that help all americans, particularly africanamericans. Just look at the economy alone. This president since he took office in the yearandahalf that hes been here has created 700,000 new jobs for africanamericans. Thats 700,000 africanamericans that are working now that werent working when this president took place. When president obama left after eight years in office, eight years in office he had only created 195,000 jobs for africanamericans. President trump in his first yearandahalf has already tripled what president obama did in eight years. Not only did he do that for africanamericans, but hispanics, 1. 7 more hispanics are working now. This is a president who carries ability auto americanings a put policies in place. Sorry, going to kevin. Just to be clear, you cant guarantee it. Loose, i havent been in every single room. Ki tell you the president has addressed this directly. Directly to the American People. Ki tell you what the focus and the heart of the president is and thats on helping all americans. And certainly this is somebody who has been in business for decades and youre just now hearing some of these outrageous accusations after the fact hes dealt with people all over the world. It wasnt until he became a candidate for president you started to hear these salacious and ridiculous claims and certainly i think if you look at the actions that this president has taken, certainly the policies that hes enacted, you can see the heart of who he is. And you can see exactly what he has done and the type of president and person he is. Kevin. Sarah just a very quick one on something that omarosa said today. She called the president unfit, mentally unfit for the office. As someone who worked with her, how surprised are you at the level of her an mus towards this president and this white house . Im certainly, i think like most people that worked with her very disappointed that she would go to such a selfserving and somebody who blatantly cares more about herself than our country to make up some of these outrageous claims and accusations. Look, she worked here for a year and didnt have any of these things to say. In fact, everything she said was quite the opposite. And not just the year that she worked here, but the time she spent on the campaign trail and i think its really sad what shes doing at this point. If i could follow very quickly, i want to ask you very briefly. We read earlier this afternoon the Trump Campaign has made an arbitration action against omarosa. And im just curious. I know there are separate entities, is it likely the white house is considering pursuing something in the way of possible action towards omarosa for violating i certainly wouldnt be able to comment on any potential legal matter, major. A moment ago, you said one motive of omarosa was to tear this entire place down. What do you mean by that and do you have ongoing concerns that while she was here, shed tape other conversations that could either be damaging to the reputation of this white house or relevant towards something youd rather keep qui snet. I think the greatest concern is the lack of integrity this individual has shown. One other thing, she played a tape recording of the president. Do you have own doubt that is an you a thoen thent kif authentic conversation . I dont. The president said he was unaware. Is that a true representation . As i said moments ago, the president had a direct conversation with general kelly, asked him to try to work things out. If it didnt, he gave general kelly the full authority to make decisions about hiring, firing, including with respect to omarosa. Because he knew what would happen, hed approve snit. On the timing i think he knew it was certainly a possibility. As to the fact whether or not kelly tauld i called the preside president , i dont think. Repeatedly we heard the president has been banished if iraq and syria. Well the Defence Department yesterday the lead Inspector General for Operation Inherent resolve says that their forces are estimated to be anywhere between 28,631 fighters which would be about the number that they have at their peak. So has isis been practically langished . Certainly we know the caliphate has been destroyed, certainly there continue to be isis fighters. That itself why we continue to take all of those threats seriously and look for ways every single day to defeat them and protect American People and our allies. Can i go back to the race question again. I get that you can cite things statistics that might be positive statistics for policies the president has done for africanamericans and minorities. What do you sa i to people who look at the pattern of the comments the president made specifically about African Americans and feel like he is singleing those folks out because of their race . Are they missing something . Are they deluding themselves . What do you sa i to them . There are other of people that look at to the pattern and says, yes, he says neg testify things about a lot of people. There seems to be a pattern of singleing out africanamericans and commenting about their lack of intelligence or their looks . I dont think so. As i said the president has said similar things about a number of individuals, certainly that are not africanamerican or any other minority. I can simply talk to you about the policies and the person that the president is. I think in again the person that a lot of his contradiction say he is, certainly wouldnt have been in business with him for decades, certainly he wouldnt have had bill and hillary clinton. They attended his wedding. A number of democrats begged him for campaign continentbutions. If they were who he said he was, why did they have these relationships with him . I think its very convenient these accusations came someone rung for office. He has shown time and time again through his actions and policy, he wants to do everything he can for all americans to make america better and not just for a certain citigroup of people but for everybo owe a Certain Group of people. I think to try to single that auto to one group is frankly silly. I think if you did a comparison, there are a lot of nasty things out there from other people. Do you think that the president is always going to fight fire with fire. This isnt something that isnt knew. Its what the American People voted for him. They overwhelmingly elected him to be the president of the United States. Since he took office, he has governed in a way that is helping all americanles. Frankly, if we want to look at who is creating division in the country. I think think the media has done certainly more than the president ever has by elevating people like the author of this book. By focusing on sparsely attended rally, instead of all of the attended policies that this administration and this president are enacting that are helping people not just on the economy, but on school choice, on prison reform, thats disproportionately affected africanamericanings and hispanics. This is a president governing to help all americans. I think we will be better off if the media gave that more attention. You expressed how you feel about omarosa since the public cakes of this book. How is she viewed by fellow Staff Members here at the white house while she worked here . Did she pull her own weight . Is she viewed as untrustworthy . Did you trust her . Im trying to get a sense of whether your view of her has changed with the publication of this book . Certainly, ive expressed some disappointment. Im not going to get into a back and forth on personal feelings that i have with a former colleague. I think the focus not only of my time here, but of this administration is looking forward and how we can actually implement policies that matter to the American People, not with liked who in the building behind me. A different topic. And a follow up. When the first time the Mueller Investigation indicted some russians this administration sanctioned those russians. The 12 that were recently indicted, 12 russian nationals, does this admin strapgs plan at Administration Plan to level sanctions against them . I dont have a follow up. Are you saying you would like the president to stop tweeting ability omarosa . I think if the media continues to give it walltowall coverage, the administration in some cases will be forced to respond. But i think it would better off for all of us to walk away and focus on some things that matter. Hi, sarah thank you so much. I want to ask you about 60th [ inaudible ]. How much does his trip has to do with countering the growing presence of china in the region . Certainly, we have a lot of shared values with the countries that hes visiting. We would always like to be the priority partner for those countries. We hope that those relationships will continue to develop. We will keep you posted. Last question, stephen. Bear in mind the Trump Campaign announcement its pursuing arbitration of omarosa necessitates attention and a Major National focus. Can we talk, can i ask you once more about the practice of signing people to nondisclosure agreements . Because, let me ask you what it says about the expressions of loyalty or lack thereof . People who work behind that wall . Why do people need to be contractually obligated in perpetuity to never say anything negative about the president , the member of his family . Why is that necessary . Again its common in a lot of. Corporations, protecting corporate interest. Certainly, its also, despite the contrary penalties, its actually very normal and every Administration Prior to the Trump Administration has had ndas, particularly specific for anyone that had a security clearance. This white house is certainly no inaudible question ] its keeping someone like omarosa silent. The campaign is doing is forcing her to defend herself and potentially pay damages. Why is that necessary . Thats a question you have to ask the Trump Campaign. Its certainly not a question i can answer as someone in an official government capacity. Thank you, guys. Have a great fight. All right. So, we are initially living in a world where the White House Press secretary is asked rightfully so if her boss the president of the United States, has ever used the n word. You know what she didnt say right out of the gate. No she didnt categorically deny that the president would ever use, such a vial term in his life. Instead, she said the president directly addressed it. In fact, let me show you how the president directed this on twitter earlier today saying he had essentially gotten this call from mark burn net who had assured him there was no tape as has been alleged by omarosa, that he had said the n word. All claims so essentially the president saying mark bur net says, he called to say there is no tape. So there is no proof they didnt say it the other point i wanted to make, errol lewis, Sarah Sanders said i havent been in every room he has been in. She hedged quite a bit as people on the trump cleanup squad will have to do. He will often say one thing and later contradict that statement. So in this case, when asked, look, ive never heard him say it. Hey, did you ever ask him . No, she didnt ask him. Then she did put in a disclaimer, i havent been in every room. I dont know. Loose, weve heard enough fog around this stuff. Lets keep in mind the n word is the most offensive word in the english language. There is kind of no way to spin it as, it was a joke or maybe i forgot or you know you dont have any tape to prove it. Its really not something that a responsible leader would let sort of hang around in this very sloppy way of the kinds we just heard. And gloria, to the point about the questions and theyre valid on this pattern, where the president does continue to attack prominent africanamericans intelligence. Whethers the omarosa, lebron james, nfl players, whether its don lemon. It is, indeed, a pattern. Yeah, it is a pattern. She denied it. She said she said it wasnt about race. She said it wasnt about race. He fights back when hes attacked. Weve heard all that before. But the one thing that struck me was that i think the president got caught in a little lie here. Because she, Sarah Sanders said, you know, he had a conversation with john kelly. Kelly says, you know, there is a problem here. The president knew it was a real possibility that kelly was going to let omarosa go. Then remember we heard the audio of the conversation with the president and omarosa saying he didnt know anything about it. Right. I dont like to hear that he said. Of course, he knew. He had had a conversation with john kelly about it. Sarah sanders just told us. So there you are. One more lie. We are right, good to have you back today, what stood out to you in all of this . So, i think in looking at this, we have to think, omarosa knows exactly what shes doing. She knows exactly how to throw the right kind of bombshells, how to get under the president s skin. Then when everybody is talking ab it, everybody is kinds of shouting about it, getting tangled up in all kind of various tripiness, she drops another bombshell, which is usually receipts for her side of the story. So were dealing two two groups of people, two groups of people who have intense credible issues and yet one side continues to drop receipt after receipt after receipt. Is are what happens after knows tapes, each and every time those tames come out . It provokes a reaction from trump. It provokes a reaction from the white house, omarosass name stays in the headlines for another day. Various people are caught in various lies. So this is a strategy, it seems like its working pretty effectively. Its like Sarah Sanders says, the media is fixated on this story. We should be talking much weightier things. I will go back to the press secretary. That you know it is the president. S the her boss, who has tweeted roughly ten times about this individual in the last 24 hours. Ten times. And yes, we should question everything that comes out of the mouth omarosa, but we are putting president s words under a microscope. Sarah sanders is leaving out a detail, her boss tweeted it out, set if news cycle. I think its so kraechltz it makes us almost question our insanity, we are living in the age of gas lighting the country right now is hurting so much, brooke from racial divisions, from charlottesville to nfl to the all right. Why cant this president who by the way called nazis very fine people come out and make a bold statement, antiracism, saying im not racist, or i dont support these people. Instead he calls a woman of color a black woman, an africanamerican woman a dog. Now he is trying to act like this doesnt matter the media is to blame. His language and rhetoric is so offensive to hear the least we can do is admit that this president is a racist and end of discussion. Hmm. I want to play. Listen to how omarosa responds to being called a dog by the president of the United States. I think that it just shows you that if he would say that publicly, what else would he say about me privately . He has absolutely no respect for women, for africanamericans as evidenced by him to ask the chief of staff to lock me for two hours to threaten me and say things could get ugly to me and there would be damage to my reputation. He is unif it to serve as the president of the United States. Areva. How would you respond yeah, i think what was disturbing to me about the press conference, brooke, is the naiv naivete. The purposeful manipulation. There is no diversity in the white house. When we talk about these issues of race and sex, its not through the lenses of other people of color. Kelly anne conway couldnt identify a high ranking african midminstration that serves in trumps administration. When you deal a an administration with any people of color at the table to weigh in on these decision, talk about the issues that concern africanamericans, you get these really hollow statements from Sarah Sanders about all the wonderful things that donald trump is doing for black people. Black people dont feel at all that donald trump is working on our behalf. His criminal justice policies are abhorrent. Theyre not advancing any issues for people of color. This notion about these 700,000 jobs. Im not an commitment although i have a degree in checks. I know economists are cringing when they hear donald trump talk about all of the jobs that hes created for africanamericans in the way that he describes, disparaging remarks about president obama. So i would say to Sarah Sanders, get some black people in this white house. Then we can have a real conversation about these inflammatory statements you continue to make, her boss makes about black people. Brooke, just listening to that video you just played of omarosa saying donald trump shouldnt be president of the United States, having listened to omarosa for years talk about how marvellous and how wonderful donald trump is, it makes me think that they deserve each other. They are very much the same people in many ways. Each of them is ruthless in etc. Own way. Each person has a strange relationship with the truth. Shes out to make a buck here. She will do whatever she has to do. Donald trumps organization will sue her back. But i think that the thing that has always united them is this sense of false flattery that they did for each other. I mean he would flatter omarosa falsely. She would flatter him falsely. And they both loved it. So theyre two peas in a pod here. The fight theyre having, all i can say is they deserve each other. Let them you know let them go at it. But understand that neither one of them has, is a hero here, has any kind of that clean slate when it comes to this. Brooke, can i quickly Say Something . Its easy for to us get fixated on omarosas credibility and trumps credibility. Neither of them have a great credibility the larger issue here is not about amro sachlt its the fact that we have a really big race problem in this white house and yes its a gas lighting white house, but i feel we are gas lighting ourselves. The most recent quinnipiac poll from july said that 49 of americans think crump u trump is racist. 47 of americans think he isnt. I want to know, whats wrong with us . Why are we still debating this issue . The article i wrote for cnn front page right now was all about this. Why are we still questioning, is donald trump racist . Is donald trump sexist . Yes, hes both. And this is one more example of his racism. So what do we do about it . What do we do about it . Look. Its less than 90 days until the midterms. Thats the first obvious spot people can step up. Look, people need to ask themselves first and foremost, what do you believe . What do you stand for . What donald trump is going to do, what hissed a minlstration will do is out of our hands. What we do, though, extremely important, how we talk to one another, what groups we choose to joan, whether its social media, letter to the editor, your local civic groups, of course, at the ballot box. Its tremendous importance. People have to figure out where they stand and stand there. Thats the most important part, not to be swayed. Sort of talked into it. There will be a lot of scare tactics, advertising what in nancy pelosi, what if hillary clinton, what about this or that, the Supreme Court, so forth. These issues dont go to that. This is what you believe, who are you, what values you hold, presumably if you hold those values, you hold them regardless of who the president is or whose party is in charge. I think thats the starting point for putting toke something thats going to sustain us through some really awful weeks that lie ahead of us between now and the election. If anything, people feel more firm in their beliefs, whichever side of it that they are. Lee, i want the give you the last word. Sure. So i agree with what the panelists have said, only ra sa of late has been omarosa have been making serious allegations, that say things pointing out Donald Trumps racism or sexism. Instead, make figure argument she has evidence of rampant corruption and she has talked to the authorities and is willing to turn over information that she has. I think you know one of the things that we saw particularly with the emergence of the arbitration claim that came out of the white house today, is that emerged in tandem with all of these claims from omarosa talking about i have evidence of corruption that runs through the white house. I have seen some things and ive heard some things and i have proof. So thats the thing we need to keep this in minds. You know, even thinking about things like being locked in a him radio, signing ndas right and left. How money was spent. These are things that matter going forward, particularly when we talk about omarosa and her book. Well have a whole conversation about ndas coming up, i want to thank every one of you for a much needed discussion. Thank you. Coming up next the white house is threatening legal action against omarosa as lee pointed out for breaking this nondisclosure in her new book. In the secret recording. Im brooke baldwin. Whether you believe the claims being paid by a former trump aide omarosa or not, there is one thing she revealed not in dispute, the existence of a nondisclosure agreement. The white house says omarosa signed it and is now violating it, but omarosa says she never inked such a deal. Esigned a nondisclosure agreement in 23 for the apprentice. I never signed a draconian nda they presented to me, because i few from my prior time in the white house. This was my second tour of duty. I worked for the clintons prior, this was not something that was acceptable. A National Security attorney is with me as is women wailly, former assistant u. S. Attorney so welcome to both of you. Kim the white house says ndas are common in the government. We heard that from Sarah Sanders. Is that true . Not in my experience. I had a top secret clearance. It had highly sensitive information. I never seen personally a nondisclosure agreement. I think the reason is its because one there are plenty of laws that limit the sharing of classified information to the standpoint you have access to that as an employee. Two, i physical its against public policy. That is one of the ways that we make sure our government is accountable is through transparency. There are a lot of laws, statutes and regulations that govern transparency, including the freedom of information act. Which is how we as americans find out whats happening with our government. I certainly havent seen it. Mark you compared both. You tell me what you found. Well, there are with respect to as you said classified information. We all sign secrecy nondisclosure agreements in that context the court versus made it incredibly clear there is no legitimate constitutional interest in the u. S. Government prohibiting publication of information of anywith under that one any one that used to work with the government thats unclassified. What i have seen from the white house. There seems to have been a number of versions for sure. Is the Trump Corporation took its nondisclosure agreement and tried to force it into a government context and it simply wont work in that context. No way, shape or form. And you say that it is unconstitutional to even have this sort of nda in the white house. Correct . Yeah. At least as it goes beyond classified information. Right. Now, also they may be in a little more trouble because of this alleged 2016 campaign nda. The campaign is not a part of the government the transition wasnt a part of the government. So were going to have, what a surprise with this administration, a novel issue and arbitration could be like the wild, wild west as to how its adjudicated. Were going to have a six, apparently, if she signed it, the 2016 nda says she cant disparage the trump family during the time of your service with the campaign, but then all the times there after. How that conflicts or interacts with the constitutional limitations on prohibiting her speech for the time she served in the government from january to december, is going to be very interesting. I think the constitution wins out. At least with respect to the period of time shes in government service. But before that, i dont know. Let me underscore your last point. We here at cnn, weve gotten our hands on the language from that. That campaign omarosa said she signed. You said, you are correct. It says during your terms of service and at all times thereafter. So, kim, im also wondering, all times tlavgs would that then hold for the duration of her time at the white house . Yeah. The difference here is we are not talking about two private parties enforcing a contract . We got the president now would be enforcing this contract. Hes attempting to force the contract. That, in itself, is the restraint on speech. Its the government make an attempt to quiet speech. The Supreme Court held when it comes to political speech, your point of view about who you would or would not vote for. What people in office that you believe should stay in office. That is the most, the highest most highly protected form of speech that there is. One of them, anyway, under our constitutional system. So in addition to having deep constitutional problems now with the sitting president attempting to enforce this. There is a question to what harm as a matter of contract law, if there arent any damages with we saw this with the Stormy Daniels pda, if they are shared. We dont know what you should say. He has to demonstrate its reasonably related to some actual harm to him. As was mentioned, this gets tricky, now its a harm to him personally or sitting, would it be the harm to the United States government or the American People, i think the second one is tougher for reasons i talk about. That is we want to know what our elected leaders are doing. That way, we the voters have make a decision whether to keep them in office or not. Of course, of course. We will stay on this game, weigh income on these ndas. Let me move on, we got breaking news out of pennsylvania a grand jury reports credible allegations of child sexual abuse against more than 3400 prie 300 priests. The estimated number is well over 1,000. Stay with me. Im a small business, but i have. Big dreams. And big plans. So how do i make the efforts of 8 employees. Feel like 50 . Ill do what ive always done. Dream more, dream faster, and above all. Now, ill dream gig. Now more businesses, in more places, can afford to dream gig. Comcast, building americas largest gigspeed network. Heres breaking news out of the pennsylvania where a grand jury report is exposing jaw dropping numbers about child sex abuse by priests. It found credible el gagss exist of more than 300 priests and that more than 1,000 child victims were identifiable. What is worse because of lost records or fear of coming forward, it is likely the true number of victims is deep into the thousands. So jean casa rres is working th for us. Within the office of attorney general and the grand jurors, officials are saying that the report is the largest, most comprehensive document into child sexual abuse in the Catholic Church produced in the United States, took two years, it was written by 23 pennsylvania grand jurors who listened to dozens of witness testimonies. And witnesses and studied documents about alleged child sex abuse in six dioces. The report states that the testimony of dozens of witnesses and half a million pages of internal documents subpoenaed. It also state that is there were credible allegations found at least over 300 priests, over 1,000 child victims identifiable and believed that the true numbers are in the thousands. The report states most of the victims were boys but girls were also victims. Some were teens, some were younger, some were manipulated with alcohol or pornography. They were raped in various forms and fashions. And grand jurors found Church Leaders in every part of the state protected the abusers and institution above Everything Else they say because the coverup was most important of all. These petitioners and for a time some of the diocese sought to prevent the entire report from ever seeing the light of day. In effect, they wanted to cover up the coverup. They sought to do the same thing that senior Church Leaders in the diocese we investigated have done for decades. Bury the sexual abuse of priests upon children and cover it up forever. The report states that because of the coverup, almost all of the abuse is too old to be prosecuted. But the grand jury has issued presentments against two priests who allegedly assaulted children in the statute of limitations and might be many more indictments in the future because, brooke, the investigation continues. One more thing, the attorney general said, you know, theres so many redactions in this report. We dont like that. We want everything to be public so theyre working legally to try to make that happen. Good. Good. Jean casarez, stay on it for us. Thank you so much.
