This is hysterical but proves the point. People are out stumping for him or her. We will see Hillary Clintons surrogate this chief take to the stage in chapel hill, North Carolina. President obama is trying to rev up the vote as he admits the early black voter turnout is down. Plus, for the very first time here, president obama is commenting on the fbi directors controversial release of information that investigators are now doing this review of emails in Hillary Clintons case. I do think that there is a norm that when there are investigations, we dont operate on innuendo, we dont operate on incomplete information, we dont operate on leaks. We operate based on concrete decisions that are made when this was investigated thoroughly the last time, the conclusion of the fbi, the conclusion of the justice department, the conclusion of repeated congressional investigations was that she had made some mistakes but that there wasnt anything there that was prosecutable. Lets go to beautiful chapel hill, admittedly my alma mater, Michelle Kosinski. So nice to see you there ahead of the president speaking, well take him live momentarily. We know the president has addressed the fact that the early voting numbers among africanamericans is down not just where you are in North Carolina, its down in florida and georgia compared to four years ago and hes essentially been saying and echoing his message, a vote for trump is like insulting his legacy. He also spelled it out plainly today. Just bluntly put it out there on the tom joyner radio show saying that there was excitement for me when i was elected president , you were excited for me, now you have to be excited for Hillary Clinton and he said you know theres a latino vote out there growing but the africanamerican vote is not where it needs to be. He tried to spell out what would happen if in his view donald trump is elected that there might not be support for traditionally black colleges, pell grants would change, medicaid would change. Heres part of what he said. Listen. You know what . I need everybody to understand that everything weve done is dependent on me being able to pass the baton to somebody who believes in the same things i believe in so if you really care about my presidency and what weve accomplished then you are going to go and vote, but if we let this thing slip and ive got a situation where my last two months in office are preparing for a transition to donald trump whose staff people have said that their primary agenda is to have him in the first couple weeks sit in the oval office and reverse every single thing that weve done . Its interesting to hear the president change it up every time he speaks and see his evolution in how hes approaching this. It was just at the end of august when we heard him say at a private event that he was tired of talking about donald trump, he didnt feel like he had to make a case against him because he felt donald trump makes that case against himself every time he speaks. Well now we hear the president making the case strongly against donald trump and not only that, the president is almost pleading with voters out here, not just on these radio showsesqually targeting the africanamerican vote but when he speaks to a big crowd like this hes not joking so much anymore, he is deadly serious and hes saying you need to do this. Listen to me even if youre going to vote, maybe you have a nephew or friend or some relative on the fence. So hes targeting the groups that Hillary Clinton needs, africanamericans, young people, trying to build up that enthusiasm, excitement, momentum however you want to term it that clinton needs. Brooke . Its politics and personal. Well take it live, Michelle Kosinski thank you so much in chapel hill, North Carolina. Cnn a short time ago released brand new poll numbers from several battleground states and well run through them but it suggests gains for both candidates, depending on which state youre looking at. Let me bring in cnn political drekd o director David Chalian to break down the numbers. In arizona, donald trump leads Hillary Clinton by five points. In florida, its tight, clinton ahead just by two. In nevada, that race has shifted with trump now ahead 49 to 43 and in pennsylvania clinton ahead with a fourpoint edge. Where do you want to begin, David Chalian . Six days out, what do these numbers tell you . Well, the first thing if youre the Clinton Campaign you look at is that pennsylvania number where you have a fourpoint edge, yes its narrower than it has been in pennsylvania recently but that is a significant enough lead that probably convinces you there isnt some major crumbling going on in a state thats been leaning in your direction so they probably can breathe a sigh of relief. Another poll came out an hour after ours did showing a fourpoint lead for clinton in pennsylvania. If youre in the trump campaign, you look at that nevada number, wow, sixpoint lead, thats a significant uptick for trump in a state that the clinton folks were feeling pretty good about and the trump folks have been saying they show it competitive for them. We need to see other polls in nevada come out to see if this matches up. Its been a while but thats good news because, listen, brooke, you remember the map, donald trump needs all the remaining battleground states plus hes got to get some democratic turf. So looking at nevada is very good. The fact that florida is a twopoint race in clintons direction but its within the margin of error, both campaigns see that as close all the way through, it was the closest state in 2012 and in arizona where you know Hillary Clinton is campaigning today trying to expand the map, no doubt the trump folks must feel good that doesnt seem to be poised to flip just yet looking at the most recent number. David, thank you so much. Well springboard off those numbers with my panel. Joining me now cnn political analyst David Gregory and Jackie Kucinich and senior political reporteer niamalika henderson. Great to see you. Nia, let me begin with you on the nevada number. You have trump ahead, a big wow for the trump campaign, good news for them but when you look in your trusty cnn Election Night Research Book i saw that nevada went obama the last two elections. What do you make of whats happening in nevada and might this be part of the reason why you see Hillary Clinton going after latinos . I think so, i mean nevada, that vote out there always looks different on election day than it looks on the early voting days that precede. They seem to be overperforming where they thought they would be so they feel good but nevada will always be a tricky state for them because of sure there is that latino population out there but there are also those working class white voters as well and a pretty big Union Presence as well so thats why i think you see donald trump feeling good about those numbers. And i think you have a and on weve seen a mixed bag in term who was was leading in these nevada polls. You saw clinton leading at times, you saw donald trump leading, it will be a nail biter going to election day and what will be interesting to look at is how cortez masto does, the woman running to replace harry reid, how shes doing. She seems to be lagging in some of those polls. Thats got to concern democrats who need four seats to win the senate back from republicans. What about, though, just Bigger Picture as we consider these numbers, David Gregory. Last week we were talking about there was a leak that the ha Hillary Clinton campaign would consider joe biden if she wins and Flash Forward a week and we talk about how shes throwing in a stop in detroit, a state where she lost the primary to Bernie Sanders. What do you make of that . I think theres a couple things happening. Obviously the impact of the fbi wing and the email story by reinvestigating it and taking the unprecedented step as james comey has of reopening that investigation and releasing the letter has had an impact because the race went from talking about trumps greatest vulnerability, which you see across the board in our polling, other polling out of washington, the influential Marquette Law School poll about whos qualified to be president still favors Hillary Clinton, its a huge negative for donald trump but now there is so much focus on what voters dislike and distrust about Hillary Clinton, thats a factor. Remembers, i think, sensing the race tightening are feeling as one Top Republican described to me a sense of guilt, a sense of a need to come home for the republican ticket because if its this close and donald trump were to lose by two, three points maybe them staying out of it will be seen as to blame for the result. So theres a lot of pressure going on among republicans to move and again you see that in the polling coming out of wisconsin this afternoon that before the fbi decision and after you see a migration of republicans coming back for trump and senate races tight in wisconsin, in ohio, a big lead for rob portman, the senator there helping donald trump by bringing those republicans out and prepared to vote for those senate sors who could vote for trump. Its interesting the that the Clinton Campaign has addressed that they dont want us talking about is the emails review by the fbi. We saw this interview with president obama doing an interview with now this news where he was asked about it. He could have said im not commenting on an Ongoing Investigation but it was a not so subtle criticism on what the what comey has done. Why do you think he played it that way . You know, president obama has walked the line on this. But, you know, hes out there to be a surrogate for Hillary Clinton at this point and youre hearing this from amplified by all of the surrogates. Hes not going after him but he is being critical which is further than weve seen in the past but i wanted to talk about the Pennsylvania Senate race if i could and how it relates to these numbers so one of the things thats interesting, it has tightened but on monday night pat toomey had an ad during monday night football and he looked right at the camera and he said i disagree with donald trump. So and right now Katie Mcginty is ahead of him in that race. So while it is tightening, there is still a sense among republicans that this is a state where theyre behind and need to make it up and appealing for those crossballot voters so watching the senate races, particularly in pennsylvania is a way to gain insight. And let me Say Something about president obama go ahead, david. Just about president obama. Its significant the president is weighing in the way he is doing. You played that sound a couple minutes ago on the tom joyner show. He is speaking directly to africanamericans in some cases saying there cannot be an enthusiasm gap, weve seen softness among projections in states like North Carolina. The president is saying theres a legacy. If you believe in what i believe in in my presidency pef to pass the pa on the to Hillary Clinton and thats been a big concern all along. Can the Obama Coalition be transferred to hick . Younger voters, minority voters including africanamericans and women. We see the strength among women but not necessarily africanamericans at the moment. This is what we dont know. This is why election day matters and why looking at early voting thats already banked matters so much to make these projections but on the emails in particular the Clinton Campaign has made a determination they will argue this hard, take on james comey because they want to say to their voters, look this is unfair and this is an example of clinton enemies overreaching. You have to support us or else in a weird way the election could be rigged in the other direction against. But its also clear they want to turn the page from that as well. If you saw Hillary Clinton down in florida yesterday, it was basically donald trump is unfit to be president because of the way he speaks about women. But let me jump in, its so important to point out on the trump side, the discipline, how he is talking about the fbi investigation, he is talking about obamacare, he is teleprompter trump, he is staying on script. Its potentially a very smart strategy for him. Steve calibbannon is monitoring twitter feed so six days to go. And we have seen a disciplined trump. I think the problem here is that, you know, for trumps sake he probably should have been disciplined all along. Thats why hes behind in pennsylvania and wisconsin. These were states we thought he would be able to do because of demographics so one of the things were seeing is there is a Clinton Coalition and it looks different slightly from the Obama Coalition, everyone knows the africanamerican vote will probably dip a bit because they overperformed every other Demographic Group in 2012 but i think were seeing a different coalition. And this was clintons coalition in 2008. She overperformed among latinos compared to obama, beat him 21 in terms of latinos in the primary, did very well among older voters, white voters as well and thats what were seeing in florida. The latino vote in florida is gang busters. I talked to clinton folks about that and pollsters as well so its a sign they have an organization down there and they are reshifting that electorate in florida in a way we saw obama do with a different coalition in 2008 and 2012. But youre right and david is right that i dont know if we can call it the Obama Coalition come election day. Whether its the Clinton Coalition or Democratic Coalition that is left to be seen. Guys, thank you so, so much. Talking about president obama, he has been laying out as far as what donald trump would do day one in the oval office and it includes, he even mentioned beyond medicare and obamacare and black colleges ripping up his wifes vegetable garden. Well play that for you. Also ahead jeb bushs son speaking a bit out of turn by saying who his uncle and grandfather may be voting for. Bush 41 and 43. New reaction from the bush family. And breaking news out of iowa today two Police Officers ambushed killed in their patrol car. We have a report from iowa coming up. Youre watching cnn. You both have a perfect driving record. Perfect. No tickets. No accidents. That is until one of you clips a food truck ruining your perfect record. Yup. Now, you would think your Insurance Company would cut you some slack. Right . Coming up, some live pictures of chapel hill, North Carolina, were watching and waiting to hear from the president of the United States set to speak there momentarily as hes putting democratic voters on high alert. He can Hillary Clintons most powerful surrogate and he was on the tom joyner morning show earlier today, pleading with black voters, get out and vote and saying what he thinks would happen day one of a trump presidency. If donald trump wins, heres what will happen immediately. They will immediately work with a Republican Congress to pass massive tax cuts for the wealthiest americans. They will immediately work to cut millions of people off of medicaid because they will block grant it and there are a whole bunch of states where if the governor doesnt wanted me cade and congress isnt financing medicaid, right away i guarantee theyll start cutting back on funding for things like pell grants and support for historically black colleges and universities. Right away they will blow back the Affordable Care act. Right away, i guarantee theyll dig up michelles garden. [ laughter ] you think im joking . Joining me now, bakari sellers, cnn commentator, former South Carolina state representative and Hillary Clinton supporters. Also paris dennard, cnn political commentator and donald trump supporter. General men, welcome. Bakari, let me begin with. You listening to the president , the list that the president just went through, it sounds to me that he is sounding the alarm to black voters. Do you think democrats are very nervous six days out. Well, democrats are nervous and proverbial bed wetters since i was born. Thats nothing new. This new narrative about this dip quote unquote, dip, this softening of the black vote, it doesnt bother me one bit because there needs to be urgency in all of our communities to build this coalition. What weve seen in florida and North Carolina is after we got through some suppression in North Carolina you see those up ticks in the vote and in florida youre seeing africanamerican vote proportionately to their share of registration. So im glad the president is quote unquote sounding the alarm and this narrative doesnt bother me at all. We need to be voting like the house is on fire because if donald trump is on fire, the proverbial house will burn down. You want to respond to that, paris . You want to talk about housing and the black community . There are more blacks owning homes during the Great Depression than there are that own homes now so i dont want to talk about kburning houses down but i want to talk about the fact that the Republican National committee put out an ad called our choices targeted to the black Community Running nationally on black networks. Additionally, mr. Trump was in North Carolina and delivered his new deal for black americans. I think the democrats are running scared, i dont know if theyre wetting the bed but they should be running scared because they know when you look at absentee ballots, especially in North Carolina where the president is set to speak, the republicans are going better than they did in 2012 and the democrats are doing worse so theres a great opportunity for republicans to do well and a great opportunity for continued engagement to make a difference in the black community and for republicans to take votes away from Hillary Clinton on this issue. I mentioned a second ago the president is Hillary Clintons most effective sur gas. I may take that back and say its the first lady. Weve seen her speak. Im wondering, bakari, i havent seen her on the trail this week. Where is she . She could help Hillary Clinton this week. Im sure shell be out. Our bench and team of surrogates from Elizabeth Warren to Michelle Obama to bill clinton to Hillary Clinton, is Bernie Sanders, i mean, everyone is out on the campaign trail, we wont leave any bullets in the gun, thats for sure. But paris was incorrect in him talking about the early voting because democrats still lead fastly with early voting in North Carolina but what were seeing is not black voters, for some reason theyre not going to the polls and pulling the trigger for trump. I didnt want anybody under that illusion. The question is are they going to go to the polls. What well see is this sense of urgency. We cannot compare 2008 and 2012 which i use as the proverbial 96 bulls to what will happen now. But we will see a slightly different coalition propel Hillary Clinton next tuesday. What about this is what im wondering about republicans, im listen to you, be kakari, donald trump talks about the movement and how massive his rallies are. What about the people who arent at the rallies, who are whispering in the ears of republicans im voting for donald trump. Is this that something youre banking on tuesday . Its tough to quantify but 00 real. I cannot tell me how many people have stopped me on the metro on the streets in d. C. Stopping me in new york saying hey, im voting for donald trump, im with you, can our guy pull it off . These are africanamericans from all walks of life coming to me, young, old, millennial they are going to do that because they understand it is difficult to be a black person supporting donald trump because the way people like myself get attacked you think thats why theyre whispering in youre . They can identify with donald trump because when he talks about jobs, the economy and especially things about Student Loan Debt and School Choice which is very popular with africanamerican communities, he is aspirational and hes going to make a connection. His speech, the new deal for africanamericans was significant, positive and well received, that coupled with the rnc ad talking about our choices will show this Whisper Campaign will come out to support mr. Trump. Well see tuesday, paris, baka bakari, thank you. Were waiting to hear from the president of the United States. Thank you. Air force one, i can tell you, there it is. Raleigh, North Carolina, on the tarmac officially touching down. Well hear from president obama momentarily from chapel hill North Carolina. A state he won in 2008, lost in 2012, well take that live. Also ahead, could you call it buyers remorse . Donald trump is now reaching out to a unique group of voters whove already cast their early ballot for Hillary Clinton, might be having second thoughts and by the way in some of these states you can change their mind and thats exactly what mr. Trump is asking them to do. Somehow that legally possible . We should look into that. Also breaking news, a suspect is in custody accused of killing two Police Officers early this morning, apparently ambushing them while they were sitting in their squad cars, new information on a possible motive and just the emotional reaction in this one community. Well be right back. A. The hunt is over for a suspected cop killer in iowa. Investigators have captured 46yearold Scott Michael greene. This is the man accused of ambushing not just one but two Police Officers from separate Police Agencies very early this morning. Both officers totally unsuspecting victims just sitting inside their patrol cars at the time of the attack. On the Des Moines Police department side it was Sergeant Anthony beminio, he goes by tony and hes been with us since 2005. He had some Prior Service at another local Police Department prior to that. He was promoted last year. A great guy in this department, a good friend, fantastic family man, its hard to lose tony. The chief will speak about the other officer killed, ill give you his name, its officer justin martin. Hes been employed with the urbandale Police Department since 2015. Jean casarez has been following this. Our hearts go out to the families and communities. How did this happen . It all started this morning, a little after 1 00, justin martin, the officer you saw on your screen, he was patrolling and he was about to go through an intersection in his squad car and what they said minutes ago in the last press conference is that he probably didnt even know that to the side of him that one was about to shoot him as he s in his patrol car and he was walking, ebl, the perpetrator they say was walking not in a car himself, he was dead on the scene. 20 minutes laider a des moines iowa in his patrol car conceivably going to help other officers because of what had just happened to one of their own was shot in his patrol car at an intersection, he was taken to the hospital and he died. We dont know too much about tthe suspect and were still calling him a suspect because he was not arrested. He was walking down the street in dallas county, another county in iowa, and summoned a state employee saying he needed medical help. Hes in a hospital. They want to question him, he has not been arrested, but they did say at the press conference he has a daughter himself in the local high school, they dont know his criminal background, but they did say that several weeks ago he was at a High School Football game and he was allegedly waving a Confederate Flag in the faces of black people sitting in the stands. The officers asked him to get off the private property. He finally reluctantly did it and they issued him a warning for trespassing, no charges but a warning and they will not say if they believe that has anything to do with today but he has not been charged. Keep us posted in that changes, jeanne, thank you so much. Moving on, after 17 months of campaign ago new trump in the final week, a disciplined trump, well talk live with one of his advisors about their strategy and how they are keeping him off twitter. Plus, oops, the bush family playing cleanup after jeb bushs son says the former president s and hiss family may vote for Hillary Clinton. Their reaction next. Is. Youre watching cnn, thanks for being with me. Have you noticed donald trump loves dominating the news cycle. Hes been doing few interviews, spending less time on twitter, staying on script as the Clinton Campaign faces new headaches. Joining me now, bill press, cnn political commentator and Hillary Clinton supporter. Sarah Huckabee Sanders is with us, Senior Advisor to donald trump and nancy collins, reporter for the Hollywood Reporter who interviewed donald trump in 1994. So great to have all of you with me sarah, let me begin with you on trumps discipline. Hes talking about obamacare and those premiums going up. Up. Hes talking about the fbi investigation hes working off a tell prompter script. Steve bannon is apparently traveling with him and minding his twitter. Can he do this for six more days and what took him so long . I think he is making the clargment to the American People and doing a great job. Hillary is coming off of the worst week of campaigning shes had in this entire cycle. Obamacare premiums are spiking, shes under criminal investigation by the fbi not just her but the Clinton Foundation and i think its been a great opportunity for donald trump to talk about his reason to vote for him while Hillary Clintons campaign has become nothing but personal attacks and frankly i dont think she has a real reason shes giving the American People to vote for her and donald trump does. Its a great contrast for us moving into the final week. You, nancy, spent quite a bit of time with mr. Trump some years ago. We wanted to talk to you because a piece of your interview landed in this new Hillary Clinton ad. Just knowing donald trump as you do, what do you think this is like for him to stay so on message . I think probably agony. You never want to get in a fight with somebody who has nothing to lose and hes had nothing to lose up until the last two weeks. I think hes stunned hes in the position he is and suddenly somebody said okay, you might win. So hes shut up and theyve snatched his cell phone away from him. Bill press, let me bring you into this, Something Else weve been hearing from donald trump. I wanted to get to his point about buyers remorse. There are a certain number of states where if you early vote, you change your vote and donald trump is saying to them change your vote, not too late. I think its too late for everything donald trump is trying to do but i must say not for some of these people. Well, as a talk show host, i have to say im thinking of suing donald trump. Because its hard to fill three hours when donald trump doesnt say anything outrageous, this is not fair to talk show hosts, we depend on donald trump to keep giving us new ammunition everyday and its been too damn quiet. Are you disappointed, bill press . You sound disappointed. No, absolutely, i count on donald trump. But i think its too little too late. And the fact is that if you really depend 24. 4 Million People have done early voting according to cnn, if you really depend on that many people to go back and get their ballot and change it and out of 38 states you can only do so in even states, if that is your thread to 270 electoral votes, thats a mighty thin thread. I wouldnt want to count on it. Well i dont know if hes depending solely on that but its a piece of it and it could work in his favor. Even a little tiny, tiny piece. On this new ad from the Hillary Clinton camp it included a piece of your a couple clips. From your 94 interview with trump. Lets take a look. Putting a wife to work is a very dangerous thing. When i come home and dinners not ready, i go through the roof. Grab them by the [ bleep ]. When youre a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Remind us, youve been on the show and talked about this interview from 94 before. You had a lot of time with him. I had four hours, it was unheard of, i was down there for prime time live. He was very respectful but he got into this race for attention, not politics, because this guy, you cant underestimate how much he needs attention, as i said to you before, hes an eightyearold kid screaming for attention in a 70yearold guys body. But you know he is there is a different side so i do understand why his family might see somebody different because he is a showman. He made a mistake when he was talking about campaigning. He said in my performances it was a real freudian slip because thats how hes seen them. Im hearing bill laugh but im watching your face listen to her, lets be fair, as a showman, shes saying. Well, at one point in life he was a showman, she had a tv show but thats not why he ran for president. He didnt need this job. You dont think hes a showman a little ittybitty bit now . I dont think anybody in politics isnt in some way a showman. You cant step on stage in front of millions of people and not be comfortable with who you are and i think donald trump is exactly that. And thats the only thing i think he probably is similar to other politicians, in no other way is he conventional and thats why hes done so well. Americans are desperate for Something Different than what we have. Theyre sick and tired of politics as usual, theyre tired of the corruptions and scandals and theys all theyve seen and they know theyll get that if they vote for Hillary Clinton. Thats one of the reasons donald trump has done so well but particularly over the last ten days we have seen the scandal and corruption and conflict what about experience . Experience is very important. I want a candidate who a president who walks in there and doesnt have to have a guide to find the oval office. Well, look, i think experience does matter but its executive experience that matters. He has the ability to take in a lot of information quickly, make a decision and move forward with it. Hillary clinton may have experience but its bad experience. Everything she has done in the last 30 years in government has been failure. Thats not true. Thats absolutely not true. She was a senator who worked very, very well she may have worked hard but she didnt do anything. If i could just in here just a minute. First of all, two points. On the showman thing, thats who donald trump is, thats all he is, thats why he is where he is. Letts face it, hes a celebrity from the apprentice and thats why he got the votes in the primary. He wouldnt be there if he were not a tv star. Sadly the American People are in love with celebrities and thats why donald trump is there in terms of change, i agree with nancy, people want change, change is good but donald trump is an experienced businessman . Hes had four failed casinos, a failed university, a failed airline, a failed steak business. Go down the list, hes a failure, hes only succeeded in being good on television, thats not good enough for the oval office and i dont think it will get him there. We have to wrap it. I will say despite everything its a close race, we have 6 days to go and i think its no one can predict who might win next tuesday, being fair to both camps. I want to thank all of you. A big moment on the campaign trail. Any moment president obama just hours after pleading with black voters to show up will speak live in North Carolina, well take him there to chapel hill. Almighty florida, six days until this country chooses its next president in the allimportant sunshine state, still very much in play. Check out these numbers. A new cnn orc poll showing clinton ahead just a little bit. Donald trump is there in florida today taking his battleground blitz to miami. Meantime, clinton has been spending a lot of time in florida, new campaign moves indicate deeply blue michigan may be the latest state to gain battleground status. Clinton just added a lastminute rally in detroit on friday and we learned the campaign has dropped six figures on political ads in michigan, paying unusual attention to a state that has voted for a democrat the past six elections. So thats why we wanted to talk to kathleen grey, a reporter for the detroit free press. Also with me adam smith, Political Editor at the tampa bay times. So great to have both of you but can we start with michigan, kathleen. Why is she going to the reliably blue state such as yours . Well, donald trump has been making inroads. He was at a couple rallies with thousands of people. His three kids are here, two of them today, donald, jr. , and ivanka. Mike pence is here tomorrow. Eric trump will be here friday. Trump is dumping i think 750,000 into advertising in michigan as well so hes making a play for the state so clinton has to respond in kind. We have Bernie Sanders here today having a couple rallies and shell be here on friday for a get out the vote rally in detroit. Its an important area for her to get votes out. You mentioned Bernie Sanders, he took michigan so now hes trying to help her out. Adam, to you, florida, you wrote about this this week, latino vote soaring but the africanamerican and also millennial turnout is down. Why do you think the last two groups arent quite as excited about her . What do you make of the set up there . Were kind of in unchartered territory because we have so many more people voting earlier than election day. You had four Million People cast votes so its hard to tell how many people would already have voted that are voting early. Right now i can tell you the democrats are feeling very good two weeks ago and less good today. Africanamerican turnout is slow compared to the early out if four years ago. It may get better but it has a ways to go and republicans are doing a bit better than people thought they would do. Theres been talk about how could there possibly be the same africanamerican excitementment as there was initially with president obama, the first black u. S. President but in talking to voters, just quickly, what do you think Hillary Clinton could do, could say, to get them on her team by next tuesday . Well, i think theyre doing it. You see bill clinton here theyre going all over the state to urban areas and targeting africanamerican voters. Obama is on the radio all over the place. So they are reminding people this is very much about Barack Obamas legacy. President obama is speaking momentarily in North Carolina. Adam and kathleen, thank you so much. Meantime, in chapel hill, North Carolina, the scene is set air force one has landed and the great chapel hills own son james taylor, love him, singing for the crowd. A nice leadup act to the president. Well take it live. Stay with me. Top of the hour, youre watching cnn, im brooke baldwin. Thank you for being with me. In moments, Hillary Clintons surrogate in chief president obama is set to take the stage in North Carolina. James taylor getting the crowd revved up in chal
