Cosby faced over decades. For the most part its [ bleep ] teflon image, ive done this bit on stage and people dont believe me. People think im making it up. Im like bill cosby has a lot of rape allegations. More results than Hannibal Hannibal buress in the last year, 25 women have come forward accusing cosby of violating them and drugging them. Barbara bowman is one of them. When she tried to seek legal action back in the 80s, she only faced the doubters. I told my agent one time she did not believe me. A friend of mine in 89 took me to an attorney. He laughed me out of the office. At that point, nobody would believe me. It was he was dr. Huxtable americas dad. I loved him. I wanted him to be my dad. Now with this unsealed deposition bowman and others feel vindicated. So i am relieved that this may be the punch to the gut of this liar. That may choke up other things to validate to vindicate the stories of their actually if youre keeping a is will more than four dozen of us. I want to kick off our coverage with sara ganim. I want you to explain exactly what bill cosby admitted to and what he didnt when his lawyer jumped in. This is really important. I want to run these q as by you. A lawyer is asking him questions. The lawyer asks him, quote, when you got the quailodes did you use this to have sex with them . He answered yes. Another question he gave them to other people . Cosby responds yes. Question later on hes asked and this is important in the context of the rape did you ever give those young women the quaaludes without knowledge . They never get an answer. The lawyers fight back and forth about this and hes asked questions about the women he gave the quaaludes to. He says he meets this woman in las vegas. She meets me backstage. I gave her quaaludes, we then have sex. I think its fascinating and important to put this in context. A lot of these women who made allegations against him, its not allegations of sexual assault, they said, many of them from the very beginning, they believed they were drugged. They remember cosby giving them a drink, handing it to them they took a few sips and then felt incapacitated. In light of that and the consistency of that its really important. Its also the first time were hearing his side of the story at all in any kind of light. He said nothing for many many years or denied everything. This is his first admission of anything one quick thing, his lawyer said hes not commenting. Right. Its also huge because, listen this was the Associated Press. They wanted these documents unsealed. The judge finally said yes and did much more than that. Can you briefly describe why the judge relented . The judge wrote this memorandum. Why he decided after ten years to bring this out into the public and it has to do with cosbys moral high ground essentially, that hes taken. His public persona. The judge wrote this, he said the defendant has donned the mantel of public moralist and the soap box to volunteer his views on a variety of things child bearing, Family Life Education, crime. Weve seen him give speeches on this notably a big speech in 2004. It made a ton of headlines. Thats the reason hes been publicly denying it and going after these women saying that they are liars. The judge felt apparently that this side of it should also come out. Now, the flip of that too, is that is the only way that many of these women might ever see any kind of justice in the court of law and because in most of these cases, the statute has worn out except they are being creative. The lawyers are going after him in defamation lawsuits because they cant go after him civilly for sexual assault. I want to get to that coming up with Danny Cevallos. Sara ganim, thank you so much. I want to talk more about this pound cake speech at this anniversary of brown versus board. This was a big deal years ago. Well talk about that coming up but one alleged victim, patti masten talks about how it was to hear this and calls it brutal rape. Complete validation across the board from all of us, complete validation. To you it tells the story of what happened to lots of women . Absolutely. To me and many of us. My facebook has been lighting up all afternoon. I was a playboy bunny and bill cosby was on the circuit so he performed in all of the clubs. I knew him for five years even before this situation happened. I was in chicago as the bunny director bunny mother, they called it. He asked me if i wanted to have dinner the next night and i said sure. So he called me that afternoon and said meet me at the white hall hotel. So i didnt think anything of it. He was in town and doing a comedy show doog interviews. So i met him at the white hall and he said, come up to this particular suite. When i went up to the room there were four other men in the room and they were playing cards and Smoking Cigars and watching sports and cosby asked me if i wanted a drink. It was 7 30 in the evening and i dont drink a lot. I said ill have a grand marnier. You can tell i was a novice. I took two sips and thats the last thing i remember. Really . Two sips. At 4 00 in the morning i woke up in bed naked, bruised and battered. And i looked over and he was there naked and i slivered out of the bed because i didnt want to wake him and i gathered my clothes and i got dressed and i went downstairs and i got a cab, went to my apartment, took a shower. I had to go back to work at playboy, i had to get the girls on the floor. I went back to work. Do you have a memory of what happened between that drichknk . I dont have any memory of what happened but i knew i knew that i was brutally raped. I knew it. And he reached out to you the next day, i understand . Yes. He said why did you leave so early . And i was startled by that conversation. I said i have to go back to work. He said im sending you a gift and about four hours later, a 4 foot ficus tree showed up in my office and it said you have to groom this tree like you do our friendship. Make sure you cut the leaves and prune it and this whole dissertation about how to take care of this plant. Naturally, i threw it out. He kept calling and calling and i guess he got the message that i wasnt going to see him again and then he asked for bunny Michelle Bunny this bunny that. I kept writing them notes down and throwing them out. He refused to give him to my girls. What made you finally come forward . Was when i heard it was a 15yearold that he raped, drugged and raped. And a 15yearold anderson is a child. That is an innocent child. And for this monster to rape a 15yearold child and at playboy mansion. That is one story of several. Let me bring in a woman who used to be in a relationship with bill cosby, also accuses him of drugging her and violating her. Her name is beth ferrier. She faced backlash with her work her family. Also with me is her Attorney Gloria Allred and Danny Cevallos legal analyst joining me here as well. Welcome to all of you. Beth if i may, to you first, hearing these different women, im hearing words like relief and vindication from other accusers. What was your reaction when you heard about this deposition being unsealed . Well actually i am so thankful that we finally have our day. Its judgment day independence day. I felt and have felt that we are going to have that opportunity to, in fact the truth would come out and that cosby it was this unsealing of these documents that was key. Thats where we needed that information where he mentions my name even in the deposition beth ferrier and my story to come forward, its what ive been wanting since december of coming forward with gloria that was so important for us. So let me stay with you, beth because your story, which separates you a little from some of the others you do say that for a period of time you did have a consensual relationship with him. But in the very beginning, when you met him, what was it back in the mid1980s in his dressing room. Tell me what happened. I actually met him in 1984. Actually in new york city at his brownstone with my then at that time booker and another model. We had come to new york to actually promote colorado and the talent that we had. And then from there, from that meeting, then it was you know we got to have the grand tour of the show and getting to see the filming of the show and then from there, again, it just continued to evolve and once i met him, as i stated my life was pretty much over because he refused to let go of me. He stalked me. He just refused. Until 1986 when here in denver he drugged me left me in my car, following one of his shows and im fully aware of that time that i was drugged and that i was raped, molested maybe who knows. Security guards were there. Mr. Cosby himself. But he too, also like p. J. Mentions he calls me the very next day and my agents the one, joe ferrel here in denver was our agent at the time shes the one who called and said that cosby forgave me. Cosby forgave you . Thats what you heard . Thats what i heard. And then i never had another booking from that agent ever again. Wow. Beth let me come back to you. Gloria you hear beths story, the other accusers stories. We were talking about the statute of limitations. You know can any of these cases be used in current day against bill cosby whatsoever . Well brooke first of all, let me say how proud i am of beth and her courage in speaking out and also many of the other accusers. I do need to correct a bit what sara said in her setup case because i do have a case which is not a defamation case. I represent judy huff who i think was the person who patricia was alluding to and miss huff alleges that she was 15 years old when she became the victim of Sexual Misconduct by bill cosby at the playboy mansion. Our case is currently before the California Supreme Court because mr. Cosby is attempting to block the case. Hes trying to get it dismissed. He was unsuccessful at doing that at the lower court. At the court of appeals in california and now hes petitioned the California Supreme Court. Were hoping for a decision soon. We filed our opposition to his request yesterday. And wed like to be able to proceed with our lawsuit because miss huff would like to have her day in court. Shes willing to testify before a judge and jury and swear to take the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth but appears that mr. Cosby is not willing to do that. He doesnt appear to have the confidence in the judge and jury that we do. Okay. Gloria danny, gloria cites one example of a case in california but to you and saras point earlier was in general there are deaffamation lawsuits. My question to you and people are wondering again, this deposition said he intended to give quaaludes. Could he ever be arrested . Thats a difficult question. As a general rule most of the criminal statutes of limitations have run. But in each state, that are exceptions what we call tolling. Its the pause button on the statute of limitations and that might be where a class second example is if someone is a minor child. Usually the clock doesnt start running until they reach the age. There are rules about statute of limitations. As a general rule and miss allred may disagree with me. For the majority the statute of limitations has probably run but there could be a tolling statute and find some way to charge cosby with something. Gloria do you want to weigh in . Do you agree with that . It depends on the facts, on the law. We feel that because we are alleging child sexual abuse in the case of miss huff that we are within the statute of limitation to file a civil case and to proceed with that case. The prosecutor in l. A. County however, feels it is too late to criminally prosecute mr. Cosby for the allegations that miss huff has made. Thats not a decision on the merits of whether they believe her or not but strictly on the time limits set by california law. Weve worked to change those time limits in nevada. We were successful. I was just with the governor recently in nevada where he has now extended the statute of limitations in nevada as a result of the great work of my client and testified before the legislature there. However, the bad news is it doesnt cover the bill cosby alleged victims that have allegations before that. Beth i just want to end with you because youre listening in on this conversation and potential legal, you know, mchl machinations. Bill cosby may never face time for what he did but in the court of public opinion, many many many people have spoken. What in your opinion, is justice to you in this situation and, b, what would you say to him . Oh my. What can a person say to mr. Cosby . You are a monster. You are a vile severely ill person who has gone and taken advantage of 49 of us and we ask we want to come eye to eye with you, mr. Cosby. We want our time in court. That will be our justice, because were not going away. And were each fighting to get our statute of limitations via our states that we live in we want to make those changes. Thats the justice, thats what we need to do each of us individually have to suffer through but not in silence anymore. That we are all we all share the same identical story, the same piece that mr. Cosby alleges that we are liars and drug addicts and alcoholics and whatnot. Its time that the world finally starts to look directly at mr. Cosby and that hes the one at fault, not us. Beth ferrier, thank you very much. Gloria allred Danny Cevallos thank you all. Well come back to this story in a bit. Emergency crews say in South Carolina a f16 jet collided with a cessna midair this morning. Rene marsh is following what is happening here. What do you know . What happened . Brooke this is a rare situation. I mean f16 fighter jet colliding midair with this small cessna. What we know from the faa is this happens about 11 miles north of charleston South Carolina. An investigator close to this case is telling me that there is it is very unlikely that anyone survived in that cessna. But officials not saying that at their last briefing. But an official behind the scenes saying that it is virtually impossible that anyone could have survived this. We dont know how many people were on board that private plane. We know that the pilot of the f16 was able to safely eject, has been taken to the hospital. So that pilot survived. The ntsb is now on its way to investigate this. Again, very rare that were talking about an f16 fighter jet colliding with this private plane. Investigators, when they get there, are going to want to know and try to find out a few things number one where these planes are authorized to be flying where they were did the f16 pilot get information about other traffic in the area . We dont have information at this point. It will be critical and crucial for investigators to get that and understand what happened. Clearly this was a breakdown in the system to have these two planes collide in midair brooke. And the pieces of the planes around the trailer. Frightening for those on the ground at the time. Rene marsh, thank you so much. Next the hits keep coming for donald trump. Pga of america pulling the grand slam of gulf from Donald Trumps course. What could be next . Well discuss. Ancestry has many paths to discovering your story. Get started for free at ancestry. Com. Donald trump just doesnt quit. Its been three weeks since he entered the race for the nomination. 21 days for the racist comments referring to migrants from mexico. Is he doubling down. He said, the Mexican Government is forcing their most unwanted people into the United States. They are in many cases, criminals, drug dealers rapists, et cetera likewise tremendous Infectious Diseases is pouring across the border. And then this tweet that jeb bush has to like the mexican illegals because of his wife. The tweet was live for 24 hours before tweeted. Jeb bush met his wife in mexico. This just isnt about politics. Its about big business. We talked about nbc, macys a lot of big stars making videos and now you have pga . Yep. Thats the latest domino to fall. Pga announced today that it will no longer hold one of its major tournaments at a trump golf course in los angeles, which is where it was supposed to be housed. Its fun to see how fast these dominos are falling. Trump, as you mentioned, has shown no signs of taking back anything he has said or retracting any previous comments. Its not indicated in the poll numbers. Hes surging in the National Poll numbers which i would argue this is not where he will be the entire cycle but well see. Hes making it increasingly difficult for himself to find defenders, people who will say he misspoke and this is why we should defend him. The treat about jeb bush and his wife, clearly personal and he took it back. They are trying to find nice things about this issue that hes been dealing with and not to mention the corporations cutting ties with him because they say they have no choice. They are talking about him building this hotel in washington, d. C. , not too far from the white house and there are some workers, some of whom perhaps not in the United States legally working on his hotel. So one of the quotes from the Washington Post article, they are reacting to this. Do you think when were hanging out there from the eighth floor that were raping or selling drugs . Were risking our lives and a lot of the chemicals that we deal with are toxic. This is from one of the workers. Can you tell me about the backlash from the immigrant community . I think its impossible to say how upset the immigrant community in the country is by the comments that donald trump made. I was on the phone yesterday with the head of the Hispanic Chamber of commerce and they have decided to no longer use Trump Properties for their upcoming conventions which would have gained trump millions of dollars. We hear about macys and nbc and big corporations saying this is inappropriate but what we are not hearing a lot about are the families who might have decided, look we no longer want to vacation at a trump property. And it continues and he continues, doubling down on his comments. Next you may know him as jared. Today, the fbi raiding the home for the spokesman for the Subway Sandwich shops. Whats happening there . Thats ahead. Also the shocking bill cosby deposition. Why a speech he made in 2004, the pound cake speech caused the judge to release the sealed court documents. Stay here. Bill cosby he had acquired drugs to give to women he wanted to have sex with. He was a committed husband and even a moral touchstone for so many. In 2004 bill cosby took some black parents to task in what was become known as this pound cake speech. Heres a piece of that. These are people going around stealing cocacola, people getting shot in the back of the head over a piece of pound cake. Then we all run out and were outraged, the cops shouldnt have shot him. What the hell was he doing with the pound cake in his hand . I cant even talk the way these people talk. Why you aint where you is go ra i dont know who these people are. And i blamed the kid until i heard the mother talk. Then i heard the father talk. This is all in the house. Everybody knows its important to speak english except these knuckle heads. You cant be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth. So this is why that speech is germain with that news. This is the reason the judge released the documents where cosby has donned the mantel of public moralist and mounted the proverbial electronic or print shop box to volunteer his views on among other things child rearing, Family Life Education and crime. Lets have a conversation with mark la monthmont hill and joey jackson. Fellows, welcome. Good afternoon brooke. To you, context 2004, this was a big naacp event. This was a legacy speech for better or for worse. Right. We heard the criticism of some black parents at the time and reverberating since. How was it received . Some people applauded it. There was kind of a hatred towards the black poor in particular that made people unsettled by this. He kept saying these people as if he wasnt from the projects of north philadelphia and it wasnt just about educational choices and language. It was also about sexual pro pry tea pro propriety. He said, before you know it, you will need a dna card to know who you had sex with. Black men are sending their sperm out and giving a responsibility lecture to black women about black men. Hes been very careful about what to tell black people to do with their bodies and language and behavior. Its absolutely appropriate that this would happen. The judge takes this speech as part of a greater mosaic of reasons as to why he said the deposition needs to be seen. The judge had an opportunity to protect this. That is the deposition as well as other material. Whenever you do legal analysis theres so many gray areas and you balance the private interests for embarrassment and what it would harm and how it would cause him some unsettling moving forward, some unsettling times in terms of everyone looking at this, evaluating it and having a discussion about it versus the public interest. What the judge has said remember this has stemmed from a lawsuit where there was a confidentiality agreement attached to it and essentially the lawyers reminded the judge of that and the judge said wait a minute you didnt have the opportunity to come to me when it was temporarily served to permanently seal it be that as the may to have the attorneys take it and keep it private, the judge said no its going to be private. The reason the judge did that is because of what you pointed out. The judge said, no you cant put yourself into the position of a public moralist, injecting yourself into these issues and speaking very publicly and forcefully and say, wait a second now i want to be private. No. Youre out there. To the extent that you went out there, you went on record and had a point of view about these matters and, to marks issue, address them in a way that he felt was most appropriate at the time. The judge said were going to release this for the world to see. Thus he talks about how he intended to give these quaaludes in order to have sex with them. When this comedian, Hannibal Hannibal buress took cosbys stance and tone and said this. Bill cosby has the f smuggest old black male public persona that i hate. Gets on tchl v, pull your pants up black people. I was on tv in the 80s. I was on twitter and a tweet today, interesting today cosby has been tripped up for not being a rapist but for being a hypocritical one and you agree. Why is that . Its problematic that that was the case. Hes been taken down a notch and were attacking him for it. Lets say, for example, he never made a claim about moral propriety. We should still be on top of this story. The problem is we live in a rape culture, a culture that tries to diminish the value and the voices of victims. People say we finally have evidence. As if female testimony from 40 victims is not evidence. Looking at the past and who he is till now, thats what frustrates you and so many people because there are still its alleged. There are many defenders. Tell me why. Well listen, youre always going to have defenders. I do it for a living in large measure you a you need that in society. Do you . I dont think you need zealous twitter defense. I dont want to get into the twitter. But in court, yeah we need to defend this guy. But we dont have to pretend that we like this guy. Sure. But i think one of the real important things now is people are looking for corroboration and you could make the argument and mark you just made it essentially these people who have come out, these accusers thats evidence thats testimony. But when you have a deposition where you have certain admissions that gives the corroboration that was necessary and i think it shows people that theres some mareerits to these claims and the people being attacked coming out and saying you know what well we spoke to one half an hour ago and because of that speech they are feeling vindicated for the first time in a long time. Thats a good thing. Mark lamont hill and joey jackson, thank you. Its a pleasure. Coming up jared, remember him, the guy from the subway commercials . Well today the fbi showed up at his home and carried many pieces of equipment away. Why . More on that, next. Big day . Ah, the usual. Moved some new cars. Hauled a bunch of steel. Hets lets go to ryan young who has been following this story. Obviously the big question is what is going on here . What do we know . No official word yet, no charges have been filed. But were told investigators showed up around 6 30 this morning. Youve seen the pictures of all of the computers being brought out of that home. Were told child internet porn investigators have been there and maybe going through the computers on scene. Of course everybody wants to know how this is connected to jared. Now, we do know a former jared employee was arrested earlier for pornography but you can tell by the fact that they are going through those come utputers and they raided this home they are going through the investigation. Subway has released a statement as early as today to talk about these allegations. They say we are shocked about the news and believe it is related to a prior investigation of a former Jared Foundation employee. We are very concerned and we will be monitoring the situation closely. We dont have any more details at this point. They are continuing to pull computers and items throughout the house. The jared employee was arrested back in april and investigators said they did find child porn on computers in that former employees home. Brooke . Perhaps in the coming days it will become clearer. Edward snowden, the man who revealed the massive spy program, hes living in moscow but could he be moving back to the United States at all soon . In an interview with yahoo News Attorney general eric holder was asked if they might be open to a plea bargain to allow snowden to return to the u. S. And this is what he said, i certainly think there could be a basis for resolution that everybody could be satisfied with. The possibility exists. So could there be a deal in the works . Lets go to elise labott our correspondent. When i read the words possibilities from eric holder what are you hearing . Lets be clear former attorney general eric holder was in discussions in the administration and still is in touch with some people. Thats a question he was asked and it looks as if the Justice Department would be willing to consider something. Administration officials are telling cnns jim sciutto and athena jones that, listen if there were to be considering any kind of deal, it would involve a trial, jail time but if you listen to what else eric holder says is there was this positive effect, in a way, on what Edward Snowden did because it sparks a very large debate in the country and around the world about the surveillance practices around the United States. I dont think Edward Snowden is going to get off scott free brooke but the firestorm that hes created in this world, a lot of people here do see him as a hero. I think there is a plea bargain that would involve jail time for him. You covered that story so much. If there were hypothetically speaking to be a deal with the doj, there would have to be right condition upon condition upon condition for him to return period. Thats right. A lot of this is sparked by other conversations and robert is the top chief counsel to the director of National Intelligence james clapper, kind of talking about the contours of the deal and this was just one official putting out possibilities but it gives you a feeling of what they are talking about, maybe three to five years jail time. But i think what the u. S. Really wants to know and why they might be willing to considering such a deal is they want to talk to Edward Snowden and they want to de debrief him and know what he took. Brooke . And i hear you, my friend pointing out that eric holder is former but he wasnt in the hot seat too long ago. Thats right. Thank you so much, elise labott from washington. All right. We roll on hour two. Youre watching cnn. Im Brooke Baldwin and we begin this hour with bill cosby and this bombshell here. This is the first piece of evidence from this man coming not from all of these women accusing him of sexual assault. Nope. This is from his own words, the Associated Press obtained deposition documents stemming from a 2005 lawsuit in which this one woman Andrea Constand was suing cosby during a deposition. He admitted that he obtained seven prescriptions for quaaludes for the purpose of drugging women he wanted to have sex with. And this admission caps a storm of controversy that began really last year. Now, more than 25 women have come forward alleging cosby drugged and violated them over the course of the past 40 years. First up our correspondent here sara ganim, has been following it for us today. When we talk about this deposition today, it
