Usually by mid to end november we would have a season ending rainfall that would bring an end to the fire and part to blame here, of course, is the Greenhouse Gases that we continue to emit into the atmosphere, particularly carbon dioxide. Reporter you know, george, weve not had any reaction specifically to what seems to be the mixed messages, mixed signals coming out of the United States whether there has been an assessment and weve heard that the murder was ordered by the Crown Prince Mohamed Bin Salman and then weve heard from the state department, President Trump basically saying that no final assessment has been made. Theyll have to wait and see. Here in turkey if you look at the turkish strategy, what theyve pretty domuch done, the say whatever evidence theyve had theyve shared it with the cia. Andrew gillum said the race became more than being in the governor a governor governors mansion. We said we would fight until the last vote is counted. Obviously we are now closing out the hand recount phase in two of the statewide races. We wanted to make sure that every single vote, including the over votes, under votes, we wanted them to be counted. Now that we are rounding that process out, r. J. And i wanted to take a moment to congratulate mr. Desantis on becoming the next governor of the great state of florida. Gillums concession makes ron desantis a republican closely tied to President Trump the governorelect of florida. In the senate race bill nelson will now be forced to come to terms with the fact that he is the only top flight person in this race. So far democrats have not done enough to close that gap. Here in tallahassee a federal judge has ruled against democratic interests multiple times when they were trying to expand the universe of available votes for senator nelson. The machine recount that was completed on thursday did not do merely enough for nelson to close that gap. Nelson is having to contend with the fact that he is now alone in the spotlight with gillum stepping aside and he is now forced to come to terms with this being the end of his career. We are past the mid term elections and the u. S. House of representatives will look a lot different come january. Democrats will have the majority and that raises the distinct possibility that nancy pelosi will again be the speaker of the house, but its not a sure thing. There are some democrats who want to see a change. Whatever his reason may be, the u. S. President also lending pelosi we have it. I will perform a Wonderful Service for her. I like her. Do you believe it . I like nancy pelosi. Shes tough, shes smart but she deserves to be speaker, now theyre playing games with her. Pelosi has plenty of support and plenty of opposition. Health care reform, credit card and banking regulation, tobacco regulations, the fair pay act, food safety, much more. Shes also brought in a ton of money for her party. This is reportedly her haul for the mid term election. Shes the natural leader. Make her the speaker again, but there is opposition in her own party. Here are some of their concerns. First of all, they say she is a lightning rod for republicans. Her district near San Francisco is much more liberal than the rest of the country. On top of which they say shes simply too much about the past, about old grudges, old ideas, old coalitions and they say there are plenty of other democra democrats. The people who are trying to oppose her do not have enough to stop her as being chosen for the partys candidate for speak er. If 17, 18, 19 of these Opposition Forces in her own party said they would absolutely not vote for her, that could keep her from getting the majority she needs. Good morning. We are getting a sense of President Trump post the midterm elections to saying it was supposed to draw a line in the sand with the democrat. Were talking about the border wall. Were talking about quite a big sum of money, about 5 million. I think if i was ever going to do a shutdown over border security, when you look at the car a van, when you look at the mess, when you look at the people coming in, this would be a good time to do a shutdown. I dont think its going to be necessary because i think the democrats will come to their senses. Youll remember talk of the caravan just grew in a big roar before the mid terms and dropped after the mid term elections but were hearing it again as the president talks about what is ahead with democrats. How do you see these things working between these two political opposites . I think the most important point here is that in the lead up to the mitd terms trump did not run on anything for the next two years. He kept trying to stoke the fears of the republican base. Part of that was about the caravan, immigration, part of that was about villainizing nancy pelosi. He thinks hes going to get the wall. I dont think thats going to happen. The president doesnt have a positive agenda and its going to be on the democrats really to come up with an agenda that moves the country forward on some of the issues that people are really concerned about. We see from the Election Results that those topics were health care, Economic Security and of course infrastructure. There may be some room for compromise on infrastructure, but i dont think the democrats will give him money for the wall. When you interviewed americans after the election, what were the big issues . Immigration was not one of them. We saw President Trump after that tweet they send them. Mr. Trump toured the damage there. He praised the firefighters there. When the issue came up of Climate Change, mr. Trump basically denied it. Said not an issue for him. He wants great climate. What do you make of that . The president has a reason to deny climate science, thats a position thats challenged by his base. They dont want to believe it and they have a strong base of support in the industry. As well as the kind of reasons for political reasons relating to his bade for him to continue to deny the science of Climate Change. We know the science is solid. Its accidents, the rine river is at the lowest level in recorded history. When you look at california, we see the fires. This isnt just a matter of cleaning up some under brush but, rather, its a matter of long term Climate Change where you have to adapt. Where the president may be on to something, there may be measures we can take to do a better job preparing for a dry future wherefore rest fires are going to be a common feature. There may be some room for bipartisan movement on this with a new governor in california but thats still something to be seen. Just very quickly, mr. Hes in a bind because if it comes out there is no room around it. There are a number of voices in congress, both in the senate and the house. Republicans as well as democrats that have been questioning this growing alliance with the crown prince. They will make the life of the president quite difficult on this question. Time could be running out for the government of israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. His coalition is collapsing following the latest gaza ceasefire. The defense minister has resigned and there are calls for an early election. A source telling cnn a date for the snap vote could soon be decided. Following the defense minister last week, the hard line defense minister has demanded the portfolio or said he would resign from the government. That would topple netanyahus government. They have called for early elections so the pressure is there, and in this weakened position other parties in Netanyahus Coalition can make demands of him and thats what were seeing now. Can netanyahu manage the demands . Thats what were about to find out. Question, oren, can netany u netanyahu. So all of the polls and recent years not only holding on to his power which is 30 out of 120 seats, but also growing that number of seats in the next election even as the Prime Minister is under criminal investigation. That seems to have made him stronger with his base. They said Benjamin Netanyahu is the next Prime Minister. The question is, what will his coalition be and who will be in it . It could end up the exact same parties if he goes to election. Just a reshuffling of cabinet positions. Or netanyahu could choose something else. He could move the coalition more towards the center. Its up to netanyahu what he chooses to do. George, there are possibilities that could change the outcome whether its investigations against them which are expected to come soon or a couple of other parties expected to end the race. How they shift things here. The smart money is on netanyahu because of how smartly his party has been polled. With regards to hamas, where does that factor into this pressure on the Prime Minister . Hamas is going to be a factor in the next elections. They claim victory when the defense minister resigned when they say it was their pressure to resign. If they collapse in the next day or couple of days, hamas will claim victory as well. Suddenly hamas becomes a factor. Gaza becomes a factor in the elections which it really wasnt in the last elections, late 2014, early 2015. Because this is a right wing government there will be a race to the right in terms of harsh language against hamas.
