so, they are really the heroes and the heroines of this outbreak. [dr. smith] the reason we kept going to work every day was because if i didn't go to work, then someone else had to go to work. and so, we needed to be there for each other. [tim] what you saw in new york at seven o'clock every night, many people would start making noise. they would either clap, or they would bang pots as a way of thanking the people that couldn't stay home. the people that were out there saving us. that's so nice. [dr. smith] people in this city went out of their way to be there for everyone else. we need to look at the fact that somehow, this plague brought out some of the best in all of us, and try to capture that and bring that forward as we approach the rest of our lives.
