s a proxy for an attack against a republican base. there's not enough voters that are anti-trump and still republican. asa hutchinson, to be able to do that alone, you're seeing the candidates really start at the baseline of defending trump because they simply know that's where the voter base is. the question will be does that shift as this goes along. some i talked to said the tacts might be the problem here. maybe not necessarily that he committed a crime, but he looks cavalier to national security. they can maybe use those things in a debate moment to attack donald trump, but the indictment itself is not really threatening to shift voters base d on the information we know so far. >> so again, each of these candidates have to think what do we want to say. this our town hall, you had mike pence on the stage with you in iowa before the indictment, he said he thought it would be a mystic for the justice department to do that. it would divide the country. listen to mike pence this morning.
