A second set of government records has been discovered. Some of the government records, they are, indeed, classified. The president and his team never said there werent any other documents out there. They only spoke about the initial set of ten classified documents. To some extent they have been very careful not to say anything about what may be out there. There are no assurances you can provide at this point that there are no other classified documents out there at any other office . Again, this is an ongoing process so im going to let the process continue. It is being reviewed by the Department Of Justice and im just going to leave it there. Thats why youve had this continued tug of war between the fed and investors because the fed has a little bit of a Credibility Problem when it comes to inflation. Lets talk about layoffs. Two things are true at the same time. Blackrock, goldman sacks, and wells fargo is going to shrink the mortgage business. There are 10 million open jobs. You hear from companies outside of finance, tech, media. Outside of those sectors theyre saying we want to retain workers. How can all of this be true at the same time . We have a 21 trillion economy. A lot of moving parts. The label market is very, very resilient. There are a lot of businesses with a lot of open jobs. When you look at businesses more cyclical in nature, more closely tied to the economy, Financial Services is at the top of the list. Stock market as you noted a moment ago was down almost 20 last year. If you are a Mortgage Lender or asset manager, you get 20 less money coming in the door. I think what youre seeing there is kind of a harbinger of what were seeing likely to see as the economy continues to slow further and particularly if two out of three economists continue to be correct.
