attorney general william barr had a, quote, preliminary discussion with the january 6th house committee. sources tell us barr didn't know much because he resigned in december. the fact is, he was on the job until the 23rd of december by which time the former president's pressure campaign on the justice department to cast doubt on the election had already been underway for several weeks. when asked about it, benny thompson said we've had conversations with the attorney general already. we'll get some perspective from "new york times" washington correspondent maggie haberman and jonathan karl who interviewed president barr. how big a deal that the former attorney general barr has willingly had conversations, i guess, with the committee and now in the mix with the investigation? >> he certainly is a significant voice, anderson, who could be speaking about the former
