Would she have bombed iran . If he is going to criticize a deal that has been very successful in giving us access to iranian into silfacilities t he never had before. He should tell us what his alternative should b. Its like his plan to defeat isis. He says its a secret plan. The only secret is he has no plan. So we need to be more precise in how we talk about these issues. People around the world follow our president ial campaigns so closely, trying to get hints about what we will do. Can they rely on us . Are we going to lead the world with straeng strength and importance with our values . Thats what i intend to do. I intend to be a leader of our country that people can count on both here at home and around the world to make decisions that will further peace and prosperity. But also stand up to bullies, whether theyre abroad or at home. We cannot let those who would try to destabilize the world to interfere with american interests and security. Your two minutes. Given any opportunities at all. Ask expired. One thing id like to say. Very quickly. I will go quickly. I will tell you that hillary will tell to you go to her website and read all about how to defeat isis, with i she could have defeated by never having it get going in the first place. Right now, its getting tougher and tough tore defeat them, because theyre in more and more places, more and more states, more and more nations. Mr. Trump. Its a big problem. As far as japan is concerned. I want to help all of our allies, but we are losing billions and billions of dollars. We cannot be the policemen of the world. We cannot protect countries all over the world which are not paying us what we need. We have a few final questions. She doesnt say that, she has no business ability. We need heart. Have you to have some basicability. Sadly, she doesnt have that. All of the things she is talking about could have been taken care of during the last ten years lets say while she had great power. But they werent taken care of. If she wins this race. They wont be taken care of. Mr. Trump, earlier this month you said she doesnt have quote a president ial look. Shes standing here right now. What did you mean by that . She doesnt have the look the stamina. I said she doesnt have the stamina. I dont believe she does have the stamina to be president of this country, you need tremendous stamina. The quote was i dont think she has a president ial look. Did you ask me a question . You have to be able to negotiate our trade deals. Have you to be able to negotiate thats right with japan, with saudi arabia, i mean, can you imagine were defending saudi arabia and with all of the min they have, were defending them, what do you have to do is speak to them . You have to so many Different Things have you to be able to do. I dont believe hillary has the stamina. Lets let her respond. Well, as soon as he travels to 112 countries and negotiates a peace deal, a ceasefire, a release of dissidence and opening of new opportunity of nations around the world or spend 11 hours testifying in front of a congressional committee, he can talk to me about stamina. The world, let me tell you. Hillary has experience, but its bad experience. We have made so many bad deals. So shes got experience that i agree. But its bad, bad experience. Whether its the iran deal is that are you so in love with, where we gave them 150 billion back. Whether its the iran deal, whether its anything, you almost cant name a good deal i agree. Shes got experience, its bad experience. This country cant afford to have another four years of that kind of experience. We are at the final question. One thing, lester, is, you know, he tried to switch from looks to stamina. But this is a man who has called women pigs, slobs, and dogs. And someone who has said pregnancy is an inconvenience to employers. I never said that. Who said women dont deserve equal pay unless they do as good a job as men. I didnt say it. One of the worst things he said was about a woman in a beauty contest. He loves beauty contests, supporting them, hanging around them. And he called this woman miss piggy. Then he called her his House Keeping because she was latina. Donald, she has a name. Her name is where did you find in. Elissa machado. She has become a u. S. Citizen. Can you bet she will vote this november. Let me just tell you. Mr. Trump, ten seconds. Hillary is hitting me with tremendous commercials, some of its said in entertainment. Some of it, somebody who have been very vicious, rosie odonnell. I said tough things to her, i think everybody would agree she deserves it, nobody feels sorry for her. You want to know the truth, i was going to Say Something extremely rough to hillary, to her family and i said to myself, i cant do it. I just cant do it. Its inappropriate. Its not nice. But she spent hundreds of millions of dollars on negative ads on me, many of which are absolutely untrue. Theyre untrue and theyre misrepresentations. And i will tell you this, lester, its not nice and i dont deserve that. But its certainly not a nice thing that shes done. Its hundreds of millions of events and the gratifying thing, i saw the polls come in today and with all of that money over 200 million spent and im either winning or tied. When i spent practically nothing. One of you will not win this election. So my final question to you tonight, are you willing to accept the outcome as the will of the voters . Secretary clinton . Well, i support our democracy and sometimes you win. Sometimes you lose. But i certainly will support the outcome of this election. And i know donalds trying hard to plant doubts about it. I hope the people out there understand this is lex is really up to you. Its not about us so much as it is about you and your families a and the kind of country and future you want. So i sure hope will you get out and vote as though your future depended on it, because i think it does. Mr. Trump, quickly, same question, will you accept the outcome of the world of voters . I want to make the world great again. We are a nation that is seriously troubled. We are losing our jobs. The other day, we were deporting 800 people. Programs they patzed their own button, pressed the own button, programs worse than that, it was corruption. But these people we were going to deport for good reason ended up becoming citizens. Ended up becoming citizens, it was 800. Now it turns out it might be 1,800. They dont even know. Look, heres the story. I want to make America Great again. I will be able to do it. I dont believe hillary will. The answer is if she wins, i will absolutely support it. All right. That is going to do it for us. That concludes our debate for this evening. A spirited one. We covered a lot of ground, not etching as i suspected we would t. Next president ial debates are scheduled for october 9th in Washington University in st. Louis and october 19th the conversation will continue, a reminder the Vice President ial debate is scheduled for october 4th at Longwood University in farm victim, virginia. My thanks, to Hillary Clinton and to donald trump and to Hofstra University for hosting us tonight. Good night, everyone. [ applause ] [ applause ] with that the first president ial debate is in the box. A debate loosely moderated by lester holt of nbc news, giving the candidates ample room to go after each other, initially on policy, later trumps taxes, her emails the birther controversy. Jobs are getting early mention of this one tonight. This is a debate a lot of people renault are tuning into. No matter what sound bytes you had for weeks now, this is the one chance for them to layout. Some new ground was covered. By the way, just listening for some of the things we were talking about for the last couple of weeks on wall street. Heres donald trump saying with eare in a big fat ugly bubble. Saying janet yellen is doing a terrible level. These arent new accusationaccu. Talking about if you raise interest rates, hey, weve heard that plenty of times from other guests here on cnbc. We seen the futures going into the greevenl read that by the will the mexico peso moving sharply. At hofstra, john, we have been led to believe by the various campaigns that clinton was very intent on preparing trump taking a more improvation issal path. Was that borne out tonight . Yes, i think it was. Look i think the bottom line is Donald Trumps path to the presidency got a lot steeper tonight. This was not a good night for donald trump. He appeared rattled by Hillary Clinton. He interrupted herself times. He appeared flustered by questioning ability his taxes, his bankruptcies, his, the lawsuit which he was sued for Racial Discrimination. Hillary clinton was determined not to be flustered. She had an even tone. She smiled a lot during the debate. She did not look as displeads as donald trump did for a significant portion of it. He went at her hard by associating her with Public Policy failures. Those were familiar once. Things like trade, difficulties with the economy, difficulties in healing with isis. But the question is, whether or not he persuaded more voters that he looked like a president , that he is prepared to be a president. Ill not sure he accomplished that goal tonight. Michelle, what about Hillary Clinton, where there was the stereotype of her being robotic. The way she handled, especially the early part of the debate. Were notes being referenced, was lines trotted out . Was there a sense she was speaking off the cuffshe was showing us who Hillary Clinton is . How do you think she handled the stage . I think she used the word plans way too often. Shes got a plan. Ive got a plan for this i got a plan for. That at times it sounded like she was lectureing. Which has been a criticism of hers. She seemed flustered at one point when it cable to nafta, she looked flustered there. I would disagree with john a little bit. I think the bar for Donald Trumps success was low tonight. I didnt see any major gaffes. Did he become the wandering donald like he does frequently . Yes, he did it on occasion, not nearly as often as has been in the past. I think it was a better performance than weve seen from him for a long time. Especially, remember, it was unscripted for 90 minutes. All right remember john, he was attacked several times by her on taxes. Not just the idea of making those tax filings public, also the notion that he pays little or no taxes in the years we know something ability. His answer was that makes me smart. I wonder how effective that will ring . Well, let me go through a few of the things that were not helpful to donald trump. One was the pun u one you mentioned, when he said in reference to whether or not he failed to pay taxes in previous years. He said the money would have been squandered. Im not sure the ordinary taxpayer is going to feel reassured about that. When he talked about brungbankr said i used the laws of the country. He said maybe they didnt do a good job. All right. He at a later point was asked about the lawsuit being sued by the federal government for Racial Discrimination because she had a very strong attack on him for what she called racist behavior and he said, well, we settled that lawsuit with no admission of wrongdoing. That was not a stern defense of saying i didnt do it or i wasnt discriminating. Those are some of the ways in which i think donald trump hurt himself. I would say those points absolutely, i agree, those are moments he was weak. We talked about this before today. I mentioned this, were all establishment. I dont know we hear this debate the way the electorate hears this debate. Im not sure those weak moments are going to have that much of an impact actually. I think my grandfather is concerned his taxes are being squandered. In any case, speaking ability that exchange they had over tacks, heres what it is in case you mixed it. Maybe he doesnt want the American People, all of you watching tonight, to know that hes paid nothing in federal taxes. Because the only years that anybody has ever seen were a couple years he had to turn them over to state authorities when he was trying to get a casino license. They showed he didnt pay any federal income tax. That makes me smart. And that was what we were just referring to, that line there with donald trump saying that makes me smart whether or not he paid tax and issuing an ultimatum, which i think we heard before. Sure, hell release those tax returns against the advice of his own attorney, if Hillary Clinton releases all of her emails the 33,000 still missing. By the way the only question hillary got was a follow up in which she was asked in which to respond. That was it. That was also the moment len e when lester told the audience, donald trump said there was a large cheer in the audience, that makes me smart. I think that was very trumpian. I think some will find that very, very funny. Another moment he was funny on was cyber security, a key issue in the securing americas section and specifically he was responsible for the dnc hack. I dont think anybody knows it was russia that broke into the dnc. She is saying, russia, russia, russia. May have been it was, it could be russia. It could be china. It also could be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pound, okay. So he definitely lost the fat hacker tonight, thats for sure. Indeed. We went over some ground covered in prior interviews. A lot regarded trumps original position whether he supported the war in iraq. Take a listen to that. Donald supported the invasion of iraq. Wrong. That is absolutely wrong. 3r06 over and over again. Wrong. Several instances of that, john, where he tried to interject in her answers. She didnt let him derail ore answer, but was the interruption, in itself, effective . Well, look. This is another area where i think donald trump, remember, his task tonight was to convince voters, especially white educated voters, he is prepared to be president. He has the gravitas to be president. In the answer, he kept quoting over and over sean hannity, the main stream media wont called sean hannity. Did that look president ial . I dont think so. Did it look president ial when he talked ability a 400 person on their bed. I dont think so. When he was asked ability the birther controversy, which he pushed, very high profile way for a number of years. He kept talking, trying to blame it on Hillary Clinton. He was talking about a wolf blitzer and a campaign aide, those things in those moments, i am not sure that donald trump made himself look larger to people who questioned whether he can actually serve as president. The sean hannity thing was a weird, weird moment, he kept going over and over. I think on a lot of the issues, when i went back, for example the issue on the iraq war, i dont think that moves the electorate. I think people watching tonight who dont like Hillary Clinton are looking to figure out what else they would rather do and did donald trump do well enough to convince them to make them comfortable im not sure we have that tonight. We have two more to go t. Vice president ial debate on the 4th. John what needs to happen for trump and clinton in the next two of these . Well, i think donald trump needs to have a strong irdebate an engage Hillary Clinton that does not look overbearing, does not make him appear exasperated and makes him more persuasive case as we discussed before, that hes got the temperament. He had a little rift in the debate, he said, my temperament is my strongest asset. Hes looking at polls where 60 of the American People say he doesnt have the right temperament to be president. Hes got to persuade them, not just assert it. As for Hillary Clinton, i think she fell a little short in terms of inspiration and vision tonight. And i think thats a task for her to kond working on, she was pretty unflappable in this debate. I dont see any significant mistakes that she made, but thats an area where she could do better in the second, third debatsz. She needs to eliminate the word plan or reduce it by 80 and fact check. All thats left is to see the ratingles tomorrow. That does it for our coverage, live from the nasdaq, there will be much more political analysis and debate reaction tomorrow on squawk beginning at 6 00 a. M. Eastern. First, dont miss an all new episode of the profit which begins right now. Lemonis . A veteran caterer has been feeding chicagoland for almost 20 years. Tad i got hamburgers. Tad yeah. Lemonis things should be. Tad i dont know whats happening. Were not ill be honest with you. Were not were not hitting our numbers. Lemonis is your business down yearoveryear right now . Tad oh, yeah. Lemonis how much . Tad we are down, id say, at least 30 . Lemonis tad says he doesnt know why his numbers are down. But, honestly, i think i have a pretty good idea. His Customer Base isnt diverse enough. If you primarily go after film jobs and hollywood decides to take a vacation, you have nothing to make up the shortage. Thats what happens when you put all your eggs in one basket. Tad this is roni. This is where she does all of our pastries. Roni i do all the desserts. Lemonis let me let her and i just chat for a second. Tad yep. Absolutely. Lemonis why do you think tad called me . Roni i think we have plateaued here. Lemonis what is his strongest area . Roni organizational stuff, running the place. Lemonis whats his weakest . Roni i think the way he interacts with people. I think theres ways that you can make people really feel about that big and like they want to crawl in a hole and die. Its just he has too much on his plate. Lemonis you guys have an extra apron around here . You got the hardest job. The cryin onions. You want me to take over for ya . Tad you got to have everything the same size. Lemonis okay. Tad cooks evenly that way. Okay. So, marcus, can i can i give you a. Lemonis yeah. Lets do it. Tad all right. So, you just started cutting. Lemonis cant even cut [bleep] onions by myself. You got to come in and tell me what to do. Hey, dude, uh, other people know how to cut onions other than you. Tad go all the way to the center. Lemonis back off. Get away from here. We got it. Tad all right. Jennifer tad . Tad yeah . Jennifer lauren just called. She needs her order bumped up by 30 minutes. Tad you got to be kidding me. Jennifer no. Tad all right. Tell her what you need to tell her. Well just do what we can do to get it taken care of. Jennifer all right. Tad mikey, throw this downstairs, all right . Its garbage. Guys, we got to start hurrying up on this, okay . Chicken quarters next. I got the meatballs in there. Pasta come on, boil mike, you got to work faster, all right . You got to get this stuff going. Roni tad, can i use your oven . Tad use the bottom one, all right . Just leave the top one open. Ill get it figured out. Roni thank you for assistance in this matter. Lemonis its almost like a switch just got flipped. Calm, normal, and then explosive. Tad come on timer goes off, meatballs. All right . Man 2 gotcha. Tad dont mess it up. Lemonis its actually kind of fascinating. While tads going crazy and screaming and acting like a tyrant. Tad stuffs got to get hot. Lemonis . People arent really reacting. Its almost like theyre used to it. Its a pretty unhealthy dynamic. Jen, do you spend most of your time in the office . Jennifer yes. Lemonis how long have you been here . Jennifer just under 2 years, but ive been a friend of tads for 20 years. Lemonis wow. Jennifer yeah, dear friends. Lemonis you like it here . Jennifer i do. Lemonis what concerns you about the place . Jennifer its chaos. Its grand chaos going on down there. Lemonis and who really creates the bulk of the chaos here . Jennifer tad. Lemonis okay. Jennifer yeah. Hes a little famous for his temper. Lemonis a boss should be telling people its gonna be okay, not pouring gas on the fire. Jennifer right. Lemonis you have a food truck . Tad yeah. Lemonis this is your only food truck . Tad this is our only food truck. This goes out for a lot of film stuff. So its our kitchen on wheels. So its different than your normal food trucks. Lemonis so, tad, for me, the big thing is people. Right . Tad mmhmm. Lemonis you know that about me. Tad yes. Lemonis and so i have to be honest with you. Ive noticed the way you approach your employees. You have a yelling at them and youre very aggressive with them. Whats what causes you to be that way . Tad i want to make sure that they dont get me in a bad situation. I never want to not be able to support my kids, my family. I had a health problem, years ago. I had a blood clot. Next thing i know, im in a hospital for weeks. I had four surgeries on my leg. I almost lost my business. I almost was never able to walk again. Lemonis that must have been hard. Tad hardest thing ive ever done. Hardest thing ive ever done. And the fact that ive worked all the years to try to keep a business afloat, i get so scared that if something is not just right, that im gonna lose it. Lemonis and i get that. But theres a balance between fighting to provide and take care of your family and alienating your employees. Okay . So why dont we sit down and dig into the numbers. Tad all right. Lemonis in 2015, 1,312,000 in revenue. Total expenses are 905,000. The cost of goods, 302,000. So, for the business to make 100,000 on 1. 3 million, its almost an 8 net. If you can get an 8 return on capital in a business today, youre doing something pretty good. Tad thank you. Lemonis its not bad. Tad thank you. Lemonis cash in the bank . Tad 10,000. Lemonis okay. Youre tight. Tad yeah. Its been rough, these last four months. Lemonis youre down almost 30 in revenue this year. Tad yeah. Lemonis from my perspective, you have two issues here a high concentration of business in one category, and you have capacity and opportunity in the kitchen. If you could understand where the pressure is in the business, you would say, okay, typically, it happens from this time to this time. How do you then find out what type of business could fill these other hours . And you have to go find that business. Thats a way to all of a sudden take the same amount of labor and the same amount of rent and the same amount of lights and have more revenue attached to it. Its what i call capacity. If the business can operate for 15 hours a day, 6 days a week, theres 90 hours of capacity. And and its really cranking how many hours really cranking . Tad id say, you know, between that 4 00 a. M. Till right around 2 00. Lemonis if the place has 90 hours of capacity, and 60 hours of utilization. Tad we need to crank up 30 hours. Lemonis right now, honest foods is using about 60 hours of its capacity a week, or 3,120 hours per year. With annual revenue of around 1. 3 million, that works out to about 416 of revenue per hour. Take that number and apply it to the 30 hours a week that theyre not using, and you can see theyre leaving almost 13,000 a week on the table, or close to 650,000 over the course of an entire year. Bottom line they need more business. From a process standpoint, what you need help in is how to be a better manager. I feel like i could say with confidence that the product is better than other catering things that ive had. I think, from a people standpoint, we saw people working really hard here. Id like to make an offer. Tad okay. Lemonis id like to offer 300,000 for 33 of the business. 300,000 would go into the account. And it would make sure that all the bills are paid off. Were investing and diversifying the business. Tad um, the one thing im unwilling to give up is control. I want to have quality control. Lemonis coming up. Tad whos in charge of these events . Its me. And we have to make it happen. Roni seriously, i dont mean to be rude, but you can take that and shove it up your [bleep] ass. Using 60,000 points from my chase ink card i bought all the fruit. Veggies. And herbs needed to create a popup pickyourown juice bar in the middle of the city, so now everyone knows. We have some of the freshest juice in town. See what the power of points can do for your business. Learn more at chase. Com ink see what the power of points can do for your business. Drywall into my i cmercedesbenz metris. Then your rates go through the roof. Perfect. For drivers with accident forgiveness, Liberty Mutual wont raise your rates due to your first accident. Liberty mutual insurance. Tad uh, the one thing im unwilling to give up is control. I want to have quality control. I still need to be involved with the food and the development of it. Lemonis id like to be involved in Something Like this but only if were changing the game. Are you open to change . Tad ii need to, marcus, or im not gonna be here. Lemonis what does that mean . Your business is gonna go under . Tad i worry about it, yeah. Lemonis 300,000 for 33 of the business, but im 100 in charge. We have a deal . Tad we have a deal. Thank you, marcus. Lemonis you got it. All right . Thank you, buddy. Tad all right. Lemonis i wanted to get everybody together for just a few minutes so that you know from this point forward exactly whats happening. Last night, tad and i made a deal for me to invest 300,000 into the business so that theres sufficient working capital. And for that 300,000, ill own a third of the business. Theres no question that the actual food product is spectacular. But were gonna make the visual presentation of what we do more exciting. Tomorrow theres a big event at libertyville chevrolet. I want to challenge you to be more creative and to bring the event to life. And were gonna learn how to talk to people in a respectful manner. Vince respectful. Perfect. Lemonis were gonna find new ways to create Business Inside of the chicagoland area. Ready to go to work . Jennifer yeah lemonis all right. Lets go to work. Lets you and i talk upstairs, alone. Tad all right. Lemonis thanks, guys. Lemonis what id like to do is have you think about potentially getting in the foodtruck business. Tad food trucks . Lemonis i want to try to come up with a more predictive revenue model. Tad we do catering. Lemonis but you have all the dry goods, all the machinery, all the storage, all the folks for prep. You have all the assets that are needed. So what i want to do is i want to go downtown where all the food trucks line up, and lets look at it. Tad okay. Jennifer im excited. Theres so much to choose from. Lemonis this is a nice truck. Tad da pizza dude. I like it. Lemonis this is a nice truck. Is it new . How expensive was it . Oh, yeah. Do how much a day, on average . 3,500 . Frankie yeah. Lemonis so, youll do about 600 grand this year . 500,000 . Thank you, brother. Congratulations. Good luck to you. Roni thank you. Your pizza is delicious. Frankie thank you, lemonis mediterranean express. How you doing, brother . Mohamed [ speaks indistinctly ] lemonis nice to see you. Mohamed youre lebanese, i hear. Lemonis yeah, man. Mohamed im lebanese, as well. Lemonis yeah, thats why i came to the mediterranean truck. How much was it to do the whole thing . So, he invested 58,000 bucks. And youll do. On a 58,000 investment . Mohamed you got to know what youre doing to get to get stuff like that. Lemonis he knows what hes doing. Mohamed well, then, yeah, yeah, yeah. Lemonis i think. [ laughter ] for every truck that we invest 50,000, im looking to do 300,000 in revenue, minimum, per truck per year. Tad okay. Lemonis im looking to start out with two trucks. If we assume that each of them will do 300,000 in sales per year, at a 70 gross margin, then were looking at 600,000 in additional revenue and 420,000 in gross profit. Take out the operating expenses around 10,000 per month, per truck, or 240,000 per year and well end up netting 180,000. Thats almost double what tad did last year. And remember, thats just from two trucks. So, we want to think of concepts. Tad fair enough. Thank you. Lemonis good seeing you. Roni thank you. Lemonis good seeing you. Jennifer thanks so much. Tad thank you, marcus. Lemonis look, ive told the team that they need to to upgrade their game when it comes to presentation the tables, the signage. And tomorrows going to be our first test. What is tomorrows event . Tad barbecue at a chevy dealership. Lemonis so i brought everyone to an autoparts store simply to get inspiration and some props. Tad im just thinking of something for the front. Lemonis see, like, look. Tad yes, yes, yes, yes. I love it. For the signs, lets get a few of these. Man 5 yup. Tad im gonna get like four of these, because weve got a few salads. Man 5 real quick, so how many of these do you want . Tad maybe six. Man 5 yeah. Lemonis for me, catering is nothing more than putting on a show. Its theater. And the more memorable we are, the more business were going to attract. Tad okay. Lemonis all right. Tad lets head back to the shop. Tad okay, bye. Lemonis all right, guys. Yeah, lets go. Tad i think we got some good stuff. Tad mikey, give us as much slack as we can get. Well, you need to either move it aside or you need to have space for people to walk through. Man 5 right. Tad i need you to work on that make sure just work on that. Lemonis its almost time for our event at libertyville chevrolet. Tad good morning, marcus. How are you . Lemonis while im anxious to see what our presentation and our food look like, i also want to see if tad can act like a leader. Tad no. Im thinking here, do this. Mike, you dont know how to do that. No, the i said all the onions are in what . Lemonis no such luck. Hey, tad, let me give me a hand over here, and let them do their job, please. Help me get all this set up. Let them do their thing. Tad okay. Lemonis they got 30 minutes to be ready. Tad just cant leave anybody alone. He tells them to do one thing, and then tells them to do something totally different. Tad roni, youre just working on dessert . Roni is that okay . Tad no. Lemonis and then he gives them a completely different direction. Tad roni. Roni lets not talk to roni right now, for real. Lemonis and theyre pissed. Tad im in charge right now of this event. Im trying to learn respect. And i want everyone else down the path to learn respect, all right . Roni im im aggravated. Tad iii know you are. Roni like, super [bleep] aggravated. Tad whos in charge of these events . Its me. And we have to make it happen. Roni this isnt how we operate. I look some kind of [bleep] who doesnt know what the [bleep] im doing. Tad youre pissed off, and its throwing me against a wall. Roni seriously, i dont mean to be rude, but you can take that and shove it up your ass. Lemonis coming up, were in the foodtruck business. What do you think . Lemonis you all right . Roni im aggravated. Its chaos. It it feels very chaotic. Thats why i walked away. And i said, i dont want to talk right now. Lemonis didnt feel like it was organized today. Roni not at all. Lemonis i dont think tads a bad guy. Hes just a nervous and panicky guy. He worries that people arent doing their jobs. Then he interferes. And then he wonders why people cant do their job. I think what id like to do right now is have you let the employees do their job and let them learn how to Work Together. Tad okay. Lemonis let them learn how to solve problems on their own. Tad okay. Lemonis its either gonna happen or its not. Tad ricky, i want you to be in charge of the food. I want roni to be in charge of her dessert. Jim and andy, i need you guys to Work Together to make sure the customers are taken care of. Lemonis dont be shy. Come on in, its open. Come on and eat. The one thing i will say is that the team did a nice job weaving the car theme right into the middle of the presentation. This thing could have turned out like a really boring buffet in the middle of a parking lot. But instead, it looks like a good event. Tom it seems like the caterer is personalizing the event. Hes, you know, aiming towards the people that are here. Lemonis and once tad backed off and let them do their jobs, roni, vince, and the rest of the crew were like a welloiled machine. Lemonis looks nice. Take tad out of the equation, everything sort of calms down. Roni always. Man 7 amen. Lemonis thats how you run a business. Thank you for everything today. Kevin youre very welcome. Thanks for coming out. Lemonis appreciate that, and i hope we did a good job. Kevin you did a wonderful job. This is terrific. Lemonis id like to get everybody together that was at the car dealership. Tad yeah. Lemonis that would be great. Tad yeah, we can do that. Lemonis im back at honest foods. And i wanted to find out what the team thought about the event. And i wanted to know what they thought what went right, and more importantly, what went wrong. The execution and the food and the presentation, i thought were great. Jennifer the client loved it. I got great feedback. I got some great connections. We have a 200person Event Next Week that came out of that. So, from the clients perspective. Lemonis so, we gave a good impression . Jennifer we knocked it out of the park for them. Lemonis how did you think the event went . Tad overall, i think it went well. Vince i mean, it was a cluster mess in the beginning. Jennifer terrible. That was a bad day. Roni my issue is just that i felt like i was set up for failure. Jennifer his managerial style could use some work. He has a bad habit. Theres so much criticism and no praise. Roni when youve been beaten down for, like, multiple years, then, seriously, i think everything gets affected selfesteem, integrity, motivation, everything. Tad because i feel like all i hear is, tad is mean to me. Tad talks down to me. I dont feel like i can say anything anymore to anybody. Lemonis what . Tad i feel like im just ii need to just do this. Lemonis why . Lemonis are they telling you to shut up . Tad because i dont want to Say Something thats gonna be offensive. Lemonis there there were issues in the morning, though. Jennifer yeah. Lemonis they were doing something, you were looking over their shoulder. They put the table somewhere, you didnt like where the Dessert Table was. Lemonis thats a small example of not delegating and not allowing people to do their thing. If we could just work on the way you deliver the message, you could be unstoppable. Tad well, im gonna take that lemonis is that true . Vince yeah, its damn straight. Jennifer its really true. Vince its the truth. Jennifer because i think that we would then feel more committed and inspired. Lemonis then well do that. Tad all right. Vince absolutely. Man thank you. Lemonis with the event at libertyville chevrolet, the team showed me they understand the importance of presentation. So im gonna reward them with an entirely different job. And its on a whole nother level. So, i brought you here because this year is camping world and good sams 50th anniversary. Honest foods is gonna do an event here for 1,000 people. Tad awesome. Lemonis and so youre coming into my house, the most important business that i have. And so i dont want to put any pressure on you. But if you f this up, itll be a huge problem for me because its gonna make me look bad with these people. Okay . You guys want to look around the store, see if you come up with some ideas . Jennifer yes. Happy camper those are adorable. 10by10 popup tents. Tad yep. Jennifer were thinking about lanterns, too. We are gonna have maybe a few tables. Roni i might need this. Jennifer you will. Tad then you got to build a fire, right . Jennifer that should be in your belt loop just in case. Lemonis so, this is the invitation thats going out. Catering hosted by honest foods. Tad oh, thats great. Jennifer thats adorable. Lemonis let us know if you dont think it was good. [ laughter ] its been a couple of weeks since ive seen the team. And ive tasked tad with finding a new food truck. Hello . A brandnew revenue stream that i think is gonna determine the future success of honest foods. Ive tasked him with finding it, buying it, inspecting it and getting it functioning. Tad marcus . Lemonis yeah . Tad its tad. Lemonis oh, hey, buddy. Tad where you at . Lemonis im at the front of the store. Tad well, this is perfect timing. I want to show you something. Lemonis the electric Burger Company is no longer in business. Tad i made it. Lemonis this thing is awesome. Tad oh, my gosh have i had a trip and a journey. Lemonis where did you come from . Tad minneapolis. And i drove it back all through the night. I just got here. Lemonis this is nice. Tad its a nice truck. I really like it. Lemonis what did you pay for it . Tad 50,000. Lemonis this is awesome. Love it. Want to bring the rest of the group out to see it . Tad yeah, yeah. Lemonis oh, yeah. Were in the foodtruck business. What do you think . Everybodys kind of, like, bummed out or something. Vince there could be a little bit of a mutiny going on within honest foods. Just being honest. Lemonis coming up. Tad give me a [bleep] break on this [bleep] damn truck, okay . Lemonis why . Tad cause i drove all [bleep] night mayim not getting treated right lemonis how . Because im asking you and challenging you . Tad [bleep] you. But my back pain was making it hard to sleep and open up on time. Then i found aleve pm. The only one to combine a sleep aid plus the 12 hour pain relieving strength of aleve. Now im back. Lemonis guys, i want to maybe go inside and go over some ideas that you have. Are people unhappy . Because you said mutiny, and mutiny to me is, like, people are unhappy and they want to leave. They are dissatisfied. Roni right. Lemonis is there a possibility that people want to leave . Roni yes. Man 5 yes. Roni there hasnt been many discussions or anything about what is actually happening. I didnt know they bought a food truck. Lemonis you didnt know they bought a food truck . Roni no, i just found out right this second. Lemonis so, you decided to not tell people that we bought a food truck. I wanted people to know because i wanted people to be excited. Tad as an owner, sometimes you get tunnel vision. Sad i thought we was gonna go more towards movies. You know, like, a movie production. Were really good in that field. Lemonis so im not abandoning the current line of business. Ricky to produce more product to go out the door, we need more people here. Where we gonna put these people . Lemonis gonna have to work in shifts. Ricky okay. Roni i feel like the reality is the money that im making and the responsibilities that i have it doesnt work for me. Lemonis is everybody here paid by the hour . Ricky yes. Lemonis when revenue goes down, do peoples hours get cut . Tad yes. Roni we leave earlier and definitely have, like, another day off. Lemonis well, when you saw the food truck, how many of you thought to yourself, how could we afford to buy a food truck, and we cant afford to give everybody raises . Raise your hand if you thought that. Roni i think we all thought that. Lemonis raise your hand. Sad everybody raise your hand. Lemonis so, no Group Discussions are happening. And thats creating a lot of tension. Jennifer thats why maybe everybody didnt whoohoo when we saw the truck. Lemonis yeah. Look, i dont think tad kept the food trucks from his team on purpose. I dont believe he operates with malice. Hes just so hung up with whats going on inside of his own head and so anxious that he just didnt think about anybody else
