Islamic state is claiming responsibility for a knife attack inside a mall here in minnesota on saturday night where nine people were stabbed by the 22yearold who was fatally shot by an offduty Police Officer at the scene. No lives were lost in any of these attacks. The political world has been quick to react. After donald trump responded to attacks by defending racial profiling on fox news, Hillary Clinton made the in white remarks plains, new york. Ms. Clinton we know from the former head of our counterterrorism center, mad olson, that the kinds of rhetoric and language that mr. Trump has used as giving aid and comfort to our adversaries. That is why i have been very clear we are going after the bad guys and we going to get them but we are not going to go after an entire religion. We choose results, not fear. We will not turn on each other or undermine our values. We will stand together because we are stronger together in the face of this threat and every other challenge. John those words echoed verbatim the Legal Definition of treason. At hishot back with this rally in fort myers, florida this afternoon. Mr. Trump Hillary Clinton talks tougher about my supporters than she does about islamic terrorists, right . The patriotic americans who support our campaign, many of them cops and soldiers, deplorable and irredeemable and she means it. Millions and millions of people. Has she ever talked that way about radical islam . No. The suspect might be dominated by [inaudible] talked about. Now was a test case where both candidates would do with this kind of event. My question to you, how do you think they did . Mark with Hillary Clinton she of a more traditional resume National Security. Voters will get her as stronger and trump does things that are untraditional that the clinton folks at Hillary Clinton can jump on. On trumps side he has been a strength candidate. He talks about immigration, fighting terror in a way that Republican Base voters find appealing. The other thing trump has going is republicans have done better when National Security is at the forefront. Not always but traditionally and usually. Right now im not prepared to say who did better today or who is going to win at this stage but they both show their cards of a thing are stronger. John it is always uncomfortable to talk about article station. It is awkward. Her traditional resume, there is the thing that the conference temperament contrast which is what she is trying to do. She is trying to say i am more sober and more experienced. He says things that are ridiculous. We will have evidence like this in the future. Anybody in the oval office can but for some, Republican Voters and it is true what you say, the Republican Party generically speaking is an higher regard. Mark many say if terror is front and center it will help trump. It is clear neither side will get quarter, they recognize when the stomachs the news this is what they have to talk about. This is the train they have to fight on. President obama happens to be in new york city today because he is attending the opening of the uns General Assembly. He did take time out to speak to the country about the attacks just as the reports of the bombing suspect in the new york and new jersey cases is being arrested and starting to emerge. He stuck to his now patented and notable calm and measured approach which he usually exhibits in the aftermath of terror attacks. President obama at moments like remembers important to what terrorists and violent extremists are trying to do. They are trying to hurt innocent people. They want to inspire fear in all of us. And disrupt the way we live. To undermine our values. And so even as we have to be vigilant and aggressive both in preventing senseless acts of violence also making sure that who carry out such acts and bring them to justice, we all have a role to play as citizens in making sure that we do not succumb to that fear. John first how do you think barack obama has handled the past 48 hours . Mark this is the president s style and he will never change just as donald trump will never change. I think he did everything is theiately, but it case again as you said that we are talking about the politics here, no one has been killed and thank goodness for that. That it is a reality that we are in the midst of 50 days out of the reality of the campaign. Canlays into this notion he hillaryack obama and clinton together. This is his style, this is how he shows it and he cares about balancing talking tough with trying to have an obama view of the right way to fight terror short and longterm. John we have no idea what one happen in the next 50 days. Where i think we all pray that there is not another single terrorist incident, for the next 500 days. The possibility that there will be a ramping up of these kinds of attempts in the u. S. For the next 50 days because a lot of foreign provocateurs want to disable destabilize our election. I think it is possible. Dangerousially eventuality of that for democrats is if things do ramp up and it seems to be happening more frequently, this common measured tone that barack obama has which i think is the right way to go could be politically problematic and play to trumps hands. It is the right thing from to do is capable call method and exacerbate fears. Say the other thing i will in the president s of for the coronation him before federal, state, and local seems to an exceptionally good in that is that president credit. John the trial over bridge gate started today. Of chris christie. Says he knows has nothing about the incident. He said that over and over again but in the opening arguments of the child federal prosecutors said the former Port Authority official david wild stain who pleaded guilty and is expected to testify had bragged to kristi about the closures while they were under way. Thestie is leading Transition Team for donald trump and he could be in line for a big job in the trump administration. U. S. Attorney general, possibly a big future for chris christie. My question is there was some very bitter language describing what happened in asserting that christie knew all about it in realtime. How bad could this be christie . Mark it could be horrendous. It is baffling that there is no talk of him being indicted if the prosecutor believes he knew in real time. E told federal investigators he did not know about it. They are saying he did. I guess maybe they are saying, giving the benefit that he forgot somehow, but the reality is that christie still denies it and as far as we know they are basing it on the testimony of ldstein. In wi their case is built around him to some extent. Be charged with perjury unless you have given testimony under oath. You can be charged with violation of false statements law. There is a question of wildstein and his ferocity or credibility. I think the reality is we go back to when we first, when this scandal first unfolded and we knowing a fair amount of how Chris Christies office is run, it always seemed impossible that no one mentioned to chris christie, bragged about it, let him know what was going on that they may have had some role. Every reporter was skeptical. To hear these lawyers asserting in vivid terms makes you think i think there is something there. Mark let the trial play out but it seems weird. Prosecutors say he did a bad thing. John no attorney general, that is true. Mark hillary is struggling to reignite the Obama Coalition for it will talk about that and more right after this. Her quest for little Hillary Clinton is tried to put the Obama Coalition and. On his democrats will tell you that Hillary Clinton has gone some enthusiasm ground to make up with those. She made a very direct appeal to one of the groups that had been lukewarm about her campaign, the millennials. Ms. Clinton i know with washington paralyzed by big money and partisanship, the gap between the change we want and the progress that politics should deliver can look like a chasm. I also know that even if you are totally opposed to donald trump, you may still have some questions about me. I get that. Register your friends, register everyone you know. This is going to be close. We need everyone off the sidelines, not voting is not an option. That just plays into trumps hands, it really does. Mark another passion impassioned appeal from president obama speaking to hesitant blac African American voters in d. C. President obama there is no such thing as a vote that does not matter. It all matters. And after we have achieved historic turnout in 2008 and 2012, especially in the africanamerican trinity, i will consider it a snow insult, an insult to my legacy of this community lets down its guard in fails to activate itself this election. You want to give me a good sendoff, go vote. Millennialis the problem and African American problem and hispanic problem. She is underperforming president obamas numbers and Latino States such as florida despite donald trump having his own problems with hispanic voters. Why does Hillary Clinton still have a problem with the socalled coalition of the ascended . Has is not barack obama and that is true in a lot of ways. She is not cool the way that obama was. Mark they were interested in block barack obama. John she is not talking to the has to them, she different problems with africanamericans. An interesting question will be when this is all said and done, they decide not to do a lot of hispanic language advertising which may be a mistake. They spent a lot of time this summer focusing on trying to target moderate republicans who are on track uncomfortable with donald trump rather than focus on their base and the Obama Coalition. That is now looking to be a strategic choice. Have more people working on it than ever and they have super surrogates like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren and barack obama and others rejecting them. She has got to do it this. Like with so much of this race now that it has tightened, she has to do it. Will she be as cool as barack obama, will she have as direct appeal . No. She will have to figure out a way to talk to them about issues shes cares about. One example, climate change. I did i hear her talk about that very much. There are issues millennials care about. I think she has to prove to them she earns their vote. John impotently this is a generational problem where you see it most strongly is on s, this is thenial generational problem. And finding a way to talk to all those groups in a way that they find relatable is not obvious or easy for her. She could do it but it is not obvious. Mark a lot of them do not feel like things have gotten done. John what they do know about the legacy they are uncomfortable with. Stops by ourrnest studio after these words from our sponsors. John we are joined by the congressman from the great Third District of new mexico, representative ben ray lujan. Ont odds do give right now the possibility of the democrats retaking control of the house . Will leave the predictions to others. We make sure we maximize our wins. That. I appreciate i was asking you to give a sense of how likely you think this just in general terms if you do on want to put specific odds it. How good a chance do you think of retaking control of the house . Lujan i dont know if i can ascribe it is a likely or unlikely environment. Be picking upwill seats. Given over the last couple years that people have discounted it completely. Given the environment we are in, racing up to the last 50 days to election day and it is a positive environment for democrats across the country. Mark i know every race and set of candidates is different. Make that your parties stronger based on it positions on fighting the war against terrorism than the Republican Party is. Given every thing that has happened over the last 48 hours as well, first off, everything that we can say to go out to the families that were impacted really leads to where people are feeling that they are that things are unsafe. The difference between democrats and republicans is the contest we have seen with donald trump, republicans are more about talk rather than tough and smart policies. The recklessness we have seen from donald trump here is what it comes down to between houston regrets and has republicans is House Republicans time again have voted for budgets that reduce funding for more support to the Law Enforcement agencies and the Intelligence Community that Dimock Netapp and asking for. Refused tocans overturn sequestration which is impairing our ability to invest in the safe nature of keeping people in a better place in america. That coupled with more talk from republicans rather than tough and smart policies is why democrats are in a stronger place given the environment we are in today and especially when it comes to National Security, both foreign and domestic. Mark in looking at president obamas record on fighting terrorism and fighting isis and other groups abroad, do you consider his record to be perfect or are there areas where you would like tim to do better . Yousef rep. Lujan there was a very clear directive given to the president to make sure that he went after Osama Bin Laden and the president is working diligently with airstrikes in going after isis, infrastructure, isis fighters and cutting off isis money. Mark i am asking you if there are areas where he has not a good done a good job. Where he has fallen short in fighting terror. He has made it clear that his number one goal is to go after isis. It is considered importantly continue to work with the resident when it comes to working with Silicon Valley and dividing the president the support he is asking for when it comes to the fbi and his intelligence agencies to work with him. With that being said i will continue to work with the president , with the direction he has given us to keep the market people safe. Mark are there any areas where he has fallen short or has he been perfect in fighting the war on terror . Rep. Lujan there is always places we can strengthen what we are doing but when the president is not getting the tool what he that he needs, we have to work with the teams we have. The president is working diligently through the intelligence communities and the fbi to make sure we are keeping people safe in america. There is more that must be done when it comes to my chewing what is happening online to be able to combat isis wherever they may be, and especially as online tools are being used more and more to reach out to bad people around the world, namely in america. That is more than we can do as well. That we can do as well. John we were talking about Hillary Clintons effort to activate the Obama Coalition. Among democrats, although Hillary Clinton is doing well in terms of the percentage of hispanic votes, she is not generating a lot of enthusiasm. That is pretty important in voting blocs. Give me a sense of how well you think she is doing with hispanic voters and what you think she can do better. Rep. Lujan i would say all across america every voting bloc in the u. S. , we have to be working more and more diligently to earn and maintain the trust of voters. This includes the Latino Community. As the first hispanic chairman of the Democratic Congressional committee it is something that is important to me personally. Were making sure that we are committed getting to latinas in a more direct fashion. What we are seeing from the Clinton Campaign in addition to what we are doing is very active program in communicating early, developing a strong ground game that is comprised of latino field staff in those communities. It is not just the communities latino, it 30 or 40 is in districts where the community makes of three or 2 of 4 . Going for every voter across america especially in the Hispanic Community. John do you perceive that there is a worrying lack of enthusiasm among hispanic voters for Hillary Clinton or do you think anything is fine . Rep. Lujan we can always do better with every demographic. It is only after labor day. After labor day is when the general elections kickoff and more communications taking place in the community and i expect that we will do better especially in the Latino Community as well. Few if youe last days of this campaign, which two issues do thing will determine which way voters vote above all the others which is the most important . Rep. Lujan this is a security election whether we are talking about the National Security of the American People or Economic Security. Even now there is a Strong Foundation we can build from from an Economic Perspective there are anxieties out there to make sure people get ahead and stay say it stay ahead and to keep people safe. National security and Economic Security issues. This will be the two drivers come november and forward. John thank you very much for coming on the show. Will have a vax and as we get closer to election day. We will talk about how Hillary Clinton and donald trump are responding to acts of violence that took place this weekend when we come right back area back. Hey hows it going, hotcakes . Hotcakes. This place has hotcakes. So why arent they selling like hotcakes . With comcast Business Internet and wifi pro, they could be. Mark welcome back. Joining us, a political strategies strategist and jr. Ld ford, haved would you say democrats been over the last 10 days as the national and battleground state polls have tightened . Mr. Ford you cannot maintain those kinds of leads now. They will call for some strategic adjustment as we get along here. We have a week to go before one of the big units of the campaign when the first debate takes place. There is not only a lot of strategy and practicing and rehearsing for that. Secretary clinton realizes she will have to distinguish yourself. Poised andone most ready to leave the country. If she stays in that lane and does not try to get into the mud with him i think she will emerge as the winner. I think that is the approach to be taken now. Trump been doing well . His number fits sits there between 40 and 44 and hillary comes up and down. He has not picked up some its support as i think her numbers are moving around. Said, there is one person at the clinton camp it did not she would have a doubledigit lead against donald trump six months ago. They got something that is not working. And maybe trump is going to segue into something that does work. This is a change election and he is the change candidate. Maybe too much. This is a change election, she is not a change candidate. They go into these debates, she makes a mistake, the race could pivot to him. It can happen. John i want to ask a question that we discussed earlier. We have seen pretty compelling evidence that all of the important [indiscernible] enough there with enthusiasm as they were for barack obama. Millennials, African American, hispanic voters. What is the core problem she has a what can she do to fix it . Mr. Ford when it at one of the, whatever the reasons are, sometimes if you are in a party and you won a few times and things are going, moving along the right way, sometimes you can get a little complacent. The campaign has to reach out in a more effective and sustained way. They believe that they are and have in but they need to be more creative and rich out to the use community, the Hispanic Community across the country. Theyre waiting to come around her. And finally every four years things are different. This campaign to its point, i hope everyone is listening. There might need to be some changes. Some small things and you get into the game. Won a lot ofhave super bowls but even they have to make adjustments. Secretary clinton is the dominant player. We may have to make a few adjustments to ensure that we win. Hillary clinton is uninspiring. That is a big problem. Even on a day like today she took the opportunity, she used and said a lot of the appropriate things about the terrorist attacks here in new york and in minneapolis. About theto talk insider meeting she has been in washington. She wants to show her composure and and poison contrasted trump. What she needs to do is not so much worry about trump. She has to sound the alarm. She has to make people understand she has some reaction to either the economy or a terrorist attack. She is uninspiring, she is flat. The dogs do not like the dog could. If does not do something about it trump will sneak up on her and we can have president trump. Courtesy of hillary. John let me followup with you on that. You mentioned how Hillary Clinton reacted to the terrorist incident today. Skeptic, how do you think donald trump performed today . The ragged calling in and to a morning at calling into a morning news show and sort of craving some sort of acknowledgment that he was first, there was nothing poised about it. But trump has a visceral reaction. I think people want to know that the next president understands the terrorists are now here. A fight is here. San bernardino orlando, now this. Minnesota. The fight is here. People want there to be a visceral reaction. Trump could have done a lot better. It was ragged and way off the bullseye. I think hillary was flat in steel and look at business as usual. What is going to win that fight is to work i do not know. John we may not have a chance to have you back before the debate. Well ask their first same question about Hillary Clinton. If Hillary Clinton said what is the biggest mistake, the biggest danger for me in this debate, what would you tell her . Ford at each moment she will disagree with him on a lot of things. Let him make his point, it comes back to her and she makes a point, i disagree and differ with my opponent. Here is what i would do and here is how to make america strong. She has to stay in the substantive lane. You have to smother him with ideas and answers and vision. To eds point about being inspiring, all of that is continued inspiration he she has brought to this campaign. Mark what is the biggest danger for clinton and trump in the debate . Of both have to steer clear laying to their negative stereotypes. Have has got to be poised, a modicum of dignity and be informed. He has got to be the character to briefly. At the conference with the president in new mexico. Hillary cannot tell a lie. A lie there will be ads, the rnc will be running them before the debate is over with. If she placed her negative stereotype by saying something that is demonstrably false, it could be a real dagger for her. Both. Thank you appreciate it. We will look down the road and talk about down ballot races and the president ial campaign. If you are watching us in washington, d. C. You can listen to the radio radio at bloomberg 91. 1 fm. We will be right back. Mark with us now to the nations finest political reporters to talk about the battle group of the battle for the battleground states. You and dan wrote a story of the weekend, one fact come i i. You said the Clinton Campaign looks at ohio and iowa and sees real trouble. Talk about that. That is right. Two of the swing states where she is the most vulnerable, there is a large white population there that seems to be ready galvanized and energized around donald trump ald trump tennessee trumps candidacy. They are worried about those two things. The good thing for clinton is she has an easy path to get to the 270 electoral votes without those states. Theyre looking good in North Carolina which is a very close race but a state that the clinton people feel i could be a real roadblock for trump and can block of his path there as well as in pennsylvania. Makes it with a lot of electoral votes in pa. Mark if you take ohio and iowa and give them to trump, how much easier does that make it for him or is that not a huge step toward 270, the prospect of 270 . Guess it is interesting, it looks like where we are on a path where the donald trump could be the First Republic and in i dont know how many years but to win ohio and lose the president ial race. Which would be fascinating. Republicans,le for for many years now has been pennsylvania. I do not see a path for trump to get to 270 votes even if he went ohio and iowa. Without taking pennsylvania. There are some farfetched scenarios where he could get there but i find it tremendously difficult for him to get there without taking pennsylvania. He continues to trail Hillary Clinton by six rate wins there. John you think pennsylvania is a must win for trump, or is there some way with ohio, and iowa and North Carolina and floor there is a path for trump to get to 270 without pennsylvania . Guest there is a half frame with North Carolina, florida, maines second congressional district. He does have a path. It is not impossible. I think it is a difficult path and a rather unlikely one for him. John i ran into you in New Hampshire. Thinking about the biggest battleground states, talk about the state of play in places like New Hampshire. Things seem to be tightening up all of a sudden in colorado and New Hampshire. SliverNew Hampshire is a of a state. There are only four electoral votes but we were there for tim kaines event. That was his third visit in five weeks. New hampshire is not one of these states that could tip the scales one way or the other. Another state like that is nevada. Four electoral votes out there. Theyre very competitive. Hampshire has a tendency to make big swings late in the game. It seems to be an environment that they were as Hillary Clinton. It is a place where she has been leading by a lot. It has tightened up a lot. The senate race in New Hampshire has tightened up a lot. Kelly ayotte very much in the game there for her reelection. It is a place where trump was last week as well and it is a place that could be tight all the way to the end. , great tok you both have you as always. Be right back with the press secretary of the white house, josh earnest, after this. John we have a lot to unpack with our next guest. Josh earnest joining us from new york. Good to have you on the show. Mr. Ernest. i will rearrange the books on the shelves while youre gone. Wheregive an update about the president , what the president thinks has happened in the wake of this weekend. He gave a statement today. Bring us uptodate on where things are. Givernest we have to credit where it is due to our men and women in lawenforcement. We saw seamless coronation between Law Enforcement and federal officials. Lawenforcement guys on the street walking the beat doing the Good Police Work to cap this individual and you have fbi experts using their forensic skills and technology to trace this person. In a space of 24 hours ago from a device going off somewhere in a suspect. O this is a testament to the heroism of our men and women in lawenforcement. We want to learn as much as we possibly can about this individual. I went about what may have motivated him, other ties to people who may have been involved. That work is just beginning. Mark do you agree that donald trump through the were to uses in the course of the campaign can hurt americas security . Mr. Ernest there is no denying that the rhetoric we have heard from the pelicans and the nominee is contrary to our values and undermines the argument that we are making headway against isil. The president has organized an International Coalition to go after i sold. We have taken 14,000 airstrikes and had success in taking senior isil officials of the battlefield including external plotters in the last couple of weeks. We have also known that isil is trying to propagate a radical ideology of bankrupt, false mythology that they are establishing a caliphate and trying to a stat inspire vulnerable individuals to carry out acts of violence. We need to make sure that were not just taking the fight to isolate the ground but we will destroy this organization. We need to make sure that we are doing it consistent with our values and with a strategy that does not allow isolate to successfully make the case that somehow the represent true islam in a war against the west. John you made a comment about how the battle between the west and isil, the Term Campaign jumped all over that. And said that you were out to lunch and out of touch by even framing the battle in those terms. How do you respond . Mr. Ernest we have different views about the most effective way to take on this fight. The rhetoric that we hear from the pelicans does often undermine the case that we are making against isil. First of all, our first and foremost priority is protecting the American People and that includes using our military enforcement to keep the emergent people safe. The resident has demonstrated a willingness and success in making those orders and designing that strategy and incrementing it. What we seem to be aware of is the fact that there is a battle that issa wants to wage. They want to drive the narrative that they represent islam and they are representing islam in a war against the west. That is false, it is not true. There are millions of each radical muslims in the u. S. Right now that are serving in our military that are serving in lawenforcement. They are our teachers and lawyers and doctors and nurses. These are individuals were making an important conjugation to our great country and to deny that fact or two obscure that fact to win political points is shameless. It is inconsistent with our values and undermines our effectiveness to do great and ultimately destroy isil. Exception are those who come here and commit acts of terror in the u. S. Donald trump and other public and say that the system needs to keepanged dramatically to that from happening. Is that a fair charge or other things that need to change for vetting people coming to this country to try to keep those instances my rare as they are, from happening . Ernest refugees who come to the u. S. Are subjected to more vetting than any other individual who enters the country. More vetting than someone who enters on a tourist visa or in a business visa. Refugees have to go through background checks and undergo an in person interview, biometric information is collected. That information has been run through databases there maintained by our intelligence committee, by international lawenforcement organizations, they are thoroughly vetted. What i will say is if there is more that we can do to strengthen that further we are open to that. But we should not enter into a situation where we are doing some met some republicans have installed which is imposing a religious test of people who seek to enter. A muslim ban. A religious test, are you saying that the fact that this happens on occasion is a cost of doing business or we should not accept the fact that some people are welcomed into this country and then commit acts of terror and we should change the system to stop it. Mr. Ernest what i am suggesting is the most effective way to deal with this is not to shut down the refugees process and try to erect walls and people that keep people out. What we should do is ensure that we have strict vetting of refugees entering. That is what we have done. We need to implement an effective Homeland Security of effectiveerms Law Enforcement but also in terms of making clear to people who are at risk of potentially being radicalized by isil that they have a home in the u. S. The president spoke movingly about this earlier. He went to a mosque just outside of baltimore and delivered a very personal message and direct to and muslims across the country and make clear that they do long in the u. S. That they are welcome as part of the american trinity and making sure we are delivering that message, that is the most effective way to prevent isil from radicalizing a vulnerable population here in the u. S. Line that is with an effective military strategy that is going after i sold, taking back territory and taking out their leaders. We cannot lose sight of that important element of our strategy as well and the president is determined to make sure we do not lose sight of that. Not only because it is part of our strategy it is consistent with our values as americans. John there are two events that seem to be in contradiction to each other. President obama on friday when donald trump and the terse and tepid way he did mr. Himself from the posture of asserting obama may not have been born in the u. S. President obama said we do not we have more important things to focus on. He was as fired up as i have seen saying if people do not vote for Hillary Clinton that he will consider it a personal insult. It seems to me he is pretty riled up about donald trump. On the birther thing hed tried to slough it off. What is his emotional state right now relative to the cause of stopping donald trump being president . Mr. Ernest the president is energized about the campaign. Mistakes in this campaign are , repudiatingving donald trump. Mistakes are about making sure the stakes are making sure we build progress and build on the Affordable Care act and expand access to more americans and build on the economic progress we have made by continuing to raise wages for low and middle income families and making sure that we are continuing to reduce the deficit. Lets make sure we are building on progress in fighting the causes of climate change. Lets make sure we are more effectively in permitting the wall street reform strategy that strengthens our economy. That is what is at stake and that is why the president as fired up and ready to go. John when the president starts using the phrase personal insult if people do not vote freely Hillary Clinton it seems like it is more like if theres something going on there that is a squandered opportunity if Hillary Clinton lost. He seems to be personally invested. Mr. Ernest there is no question. He is pouring his heart and soul into the progress is the country is made. He was speaking to a roomful of supporters and he was saying my name is not on the ballot but all the work we have done over the last eight years is so you need to get engaged and get just as fired up for Hillary Clinton as you were for me. John thank you for being on the show. We will see you next time and we will be right back. John go to bloombergpolitics for coverage of the General Assembly and the Global Initiative in all meeting. Coming up, woodman. Nick woodman. We say sayonara. I mark crumpton, youre watching bloomberg west. The man wanted for questioning in connection with the bombings in new york and new jersey is in custody. He was arrested after being shot and wounded during a shootout with police. Authorities say two opposite of what wounded, but were not believed to have been seriously hurt. Islamic relations welcomed his arrest. More than two dozen people were wounded in the blast on saturday night in new york citys chelsea neighborhood. A pipe bomb exploded saturday in seaside park, new jersey prior to a race for marines and sailors. A device exploded at a train station in elizabeth, new jersey sunday night as a bomb squad robot tried to disarm it. New york city mayor bill de blasio told reporters, we have every reason to believe this was an act of terror. There is no other individual we are looking for at this point in time, and that is very important. Second, vigilance is called for
