Changes to lockdown measures are slowly coming into effect. How could they affect all of our lives . 0ur health correspondent, Catherine Burns has been looking at some of the key issues. How many people can i meet up with . It all depends on where you live. Northern ireland is already letting groups of up to six meet outdoors. From today, it will be up to eight in parks and gardens in scotland. The changes kick in elsewhere on monday. So, in england, it will be up to six people outside. Wales does not have a number limit but says only two households can meet at the same time. All four nations, though, make the same very important point social distancing is still vital. All this contact must be two metres away. Can they use my loo . In england, the advice is, if youve got to go, then you can go, but that it is absolutely critical that you clean and wipe everything down after you. Elsewhere, the advice is to avoid the loos in other peoples homes. The same goes for food and drink. In england, you can have a barbecue as long as everyone washes their hands, but it is strictly bring your own in scotland, wales and northern ireland. Can i travel to visit friends orfamily . This is another mixed picture. In england and northern ireland, you can travel as far as you would like to see family and friends. The scottish and welsh governments, though, would prefer that you stay local and they suggest about five miles as a rule of thumb. Has anything changed if im shielding . This is the same answer no matter where you live. If you have been told you need to shield, so stay at home because you are at more risk of getting very sick with coronavirus, nothing has changed. You still need to stay there until you are told otherwise. This story is changing quickly and new questions are coming in all the time. You can find more information on the bbc news website and the coronavirus tab. Now on bbc news its time for the travel show. Isnt this great . There is surfing here, ina isnt this great . There is surfing here, in a river . you find them every day, every morning, every day of the week. I have to get a closer look. I think surfing on river waves is quite popular in bavaria for a long time. People did just. Typical bavarian inventiveness, hundreds of miles from the sea. This is definitely not for the nervous. You need to develop a different vision of the wave because it is quite intimidating. It is very loud, you need to develop the muscle and all that. The salt deposits here are what made berchtesgaden wealthy in the 12th century. And slides like these were used by minors to move between levels. Im sure that they didnt see it as a playground, mind you. That is a phil wow i could do that over and over again. Fantastic. There is more to the salt mind than just being a great source of wealth for berchtesgaden, because this place apparently has got magical powers. As the night went on, i cannot seem to drift off quite as easily as my fellow guests. It is a quarter to one in the morning and they are still going strong. Frankly, i cannot see myself getting any sleep anytime soon. It is quite cold and i have got a secret weapon. Hot water bottle so that should keep me warm, at least, for a little bit because it is pretty, pretty chilly. It is way past one oclock. They are now playing the big drums. At full, maximum volume. How are you supposed to sleep to this . And on, and on it went. With a short respite that lulled me into a full sense of relaxation. Throat singing. In this wake up call. At seven am it was time to pack up and go. After not the best night sleep i have ever had. Were on our way out, bleary eyed, i had a couple of hours sleep in between the booming drums and the didgeridoo. It has been an experience lets put it that way loud, right . From the border with austria, we head north and deep into the bavarian forest, close to the czechoslovakian border. This is a land rich in mythology and there is one creature that features very strongly in that folklore. The wolf. Here in the national park, a relatively new and rare tourist attraction. You can see it is a typical wolf markings so they have normally the cheeks and the muscles and they bite, they have white dots above the eyes and though it is very colourful face, they have, above the eyes and though it is very colourfulface, they have, although the ears are very small in comparison to a lot of dogs. The ears are very small in comparison to a lot of dogsm the ears are very small in comparison to a lot of dogs. It is really a n comparison to a lot of dogs. It is really an attractive, beautiful animal, and nothing like the kind of image of a nasty, villainous creature that is betrayed as. For most of the 20th century, all thin germany were hunted to the point of extinction. But then in the 1990s they started to come back, crossing over from they started to come back, crossing overfrom neighbouring they started to come back, crossing over from neighbouring countries. Now we have a0 packs across germany and on an average day, they have about five pups per pack and so you can imagine 200 pups each year. So it isa can imagine 200 pups each year. So it is a really increasing population size. The reappearance of the wolf in germany has divided opinion. Wolf is an animal as every other animal but in our heads, wolves are different. So wolves belong to the ecosystem and so wolves are important for the national park. And there are some people who like wolves and others who hate walls so it isa wolves and others who hate walls so it is a huge controversy and i think there is no other animal in europe which is so controversial as wolves. Im in the pitch black countryside now and im about to meet a whole group of people who have got a very different take on the wolf and they are taking part tonight in an annual celebration that is, ive been told, unique. The festival takes place in the town and celebrates the ancient custom of herdsman ringing bells to scare wolves away. Harms. Hello. Hello. Hes one of the organisers. Are the famous bells we have heard about. Speaks german. Tonight, hundreds of local people will form teams of bell ringers and i am joining in too, a rare privilege or a non bavarian. First, i need the right outfit. And what is the point of these twigs . Speaks german. Im going to look like a christmas tree. Good . Sehr gut, ja. Headgear pals in insignificance once i realise i will be lugging this 20 kg bell around. You are the clock. I am the clock. So heavy, it is ridiculous. Speaks german. 0k, ok, so ok, so i am taking this bell and i think there are some people here who have been doing it as well and you can hear me coming, by any chance. So you two are also taking part this year . Fantastic. How big a night is this for you . I think it is the biggest night of the year is Something Like this, yeah. Nowhere else is Something Like this and so, yeah, we are very proud of it and we also want to take part. Have you ever thought about wearing earplugs . Yes, i have them you have to do. I think it is impossible without them. 0k, think it is impossible without them. Ok, right, iwill think it is impossible without them. Ok, right, i will bear that in mind. Good advice. Thank you very much. I join the rest of the team as we head towards the town centre. Nothing could have prepared me for being the incredible then that is generated heaving these enormous bells around. All drum on bells. And trying not to use my needs but it is almost impossible stop they feel battered and bruised already. We are greeted by a huge crowd of tourists and locals. Dominic is the fla m boya nt and locals. Dominic is the flamboyant leader, rousing the troops leading the beat. And conducting the cacophony. Bells bang. Luckily for me after 30 minutes dominic calls time for a much needed break. Wow that was one of the most physically intensive things i have ever done. Amazing tribal but great. And i deserve this. Bells bang. What does it feel like to be leading this bunch of people with a loud noise . Speaks german. Thank you. Amazing. Ifi loud noise . Speaks german. Thank you. Amazing. If i have learned to do one thing here, it is to try and look beyond the straightlaced conservative image of the people of bavaria. I have been truly moved by their warmth. Passion. Bavaria. I have been truly moved by theirwarmth. Passion. And bavaria. I have been truly moved by their warmth. Passion. And shared quirkiness. It has been a unique adventure. Well, friday was a very warm day across the uk. In fact, the hot spot was scotland temperatures got up to 28 degrees. And saturday in most parts of the uk will be every bit as warm at least the low to mid 20s in most major towns and cities. Its been so reliable during the lockdown that the spring has ended up being the sunniest one on record, so this has been confirmed by the met office. Now, High Pressure is in charge of the weather across a large chunk of europe. Its centred across scandinavia and its clearing the skies across the uk, ireland, much of western and central europe. These are the 6am temperatures. A little fresh in parts of east anglia. Maybe in the rural spots, temperatures could be around 6 degrees, but elsewhere, not quite as nippy. Very quickly, the temperatures will rocket during the course of the morning and into the afternoon. Lets take a closer look. So on friday, we had temperatures up to around about 28 in some parts of western scotland. Probably not quite so hot on saturday more like the low to mid 20s. Very warm there in glasgow, 2a celsius. Well match that in liverpool, in birmingham, and probably the hot spot will be somewhere in the south of england temperatures will get up to around 25 degrees celsius. Now, the sun will be very strong as well you can see high uv levels pretty much right across the country so take note if youre planning to enjoy that fine weather outdoors. Saturday nights looking absolutely fine and then sunday, we do it all over again the winds are light, the skies are clear, the temperatures are going to rise. In fact, in one or two spots, it could reach around 26 or 27 celsius, so a hot day on the way, especially across western parts of england on sunday. And over the next few days so this is including the weekend and into next week that warm plume of air from the southern climes continues to spread across the uk, as far north as scandinavia and even pushing to the arctic circle, so those temperatures are expected to, in fact, peak across the south of the uk come tuesday. We could see temperatures getting up to around 28 degrees celsius. But after that, a big change on the way. Look at that back into the teens by the time we get to the weekend. In fact, next weekend, were expecting colder air coming in from the north. Thats it for me. Bye. Good morning. Welcome to breakfast with Charlie Stayt and naga munchetty. Our headlines today scientists warn relaxing lockdown is still too risky amdist fears the warm weather this weekend could lead people to ditch social distancing.
