And at nine oclock tonight there will be a special programme by radio 1s newsbeat debating the future of britains laws and attitudes to cannabis. And we take a look at the front pages for tomorrow. Thats all ahead on bbc news. Now its time for sportsday. Hello and welcome along to sportstday live from the bbc sport centre. Coming up tonight. The countdown is on to england womens semi final in the Rugby World Cup. Im live in belfast this evening wear the red roses take on france in their quest for back to back world cup finals. Five nil up, celtic look to wrap up their place in the group stage of the champions league. They take an 8 1; aggregate win. And theres stilljust two seconds in it at the vuelta a espana, but chris froome holds the leaders red jersey after stage four out of 21. Yes, hello and welcome. Englands women will continue the defence of their Rugby World Cup title when they play france in the biggest match of their tournamnet so far. Were at the semi final stage and france await. Kick off in belfast in a little over an hours time, which is where we can cross to join Kathryn Downes whos live there for us tonight. And kat to match that challanege, were hearing england will field their Strongest Team so far . They will put our best on the side yet and may well have to conserve energy as well because it looks like the side going through to the semifinal, to the final im sorry, will be new zealand. They are looking on imperious form taking on the usa in the first semifinal going on behind me at the moment. You can perhaps hear the shouts from the crowd and plenty of tries. Portia woodman the superstar has scored a hat trick on her way to a lead of 30 ah van12 at hat trick on her way to a lead of 30 ah van 12 at the moment as we approach full time in a semifinal. It has been a much tighter game than many anticipated but it looks like the four time World Champion new zealand will go through to the final and we will find out later if england can join them there. And we will find out later if england canjoin them there. England are playing france in the next semifinal. And in the build up to all of this standing with me is kat merchant, who was part of the winning squad back in 2014. What have you made of this new zealand side because theyve looked good but you said theyre not at their best . I think they were outstanding in the pool stages, they have the whole package but today the usa rattled them especially in the first half. No one would have expected it. So maybe some complacency. But now putting it right. And that is the new zealand everyone knows. Another huge cry has just gone up so potentially another score on the board behind us. Lets take a look ahead to england because we hope that they get through to face the black ferns in the final. What other chances against france, their toughest test yet . England have not really been tested in the pool stages, they had some Great Results but i think the first 20 minutes will be tough with france coming at them after a great performance against ireland. So it is going to be closer than people think. And Simon Middleton has named his strongest starting line up of the tournament yet. What are we going to look out for this evening . Lydia thompson coming back on the wing, she is a flyer and incredible. Katy mclean, just on form at fly half. And a lot of the forwards, the pack working really well together. And have you got a prediction . I think england will win by 12. And dare we look further ahead to a final, if england to win as you say, new zealand looked like they will go through, that is the final everyone would want to see in womens rugby, the two best sides in the world going head to head in the world cup. And that is to england will want to face, you do not want to win a world cup playing a weaker side. And england just so motivated and so looking forward to it. New zealand are 110 are angry looking forward to it. New zealand are no are angry after the last world cup so if they make it it will bea world cup so if they make it it will be a really good game. England went down to new zealand and beat them on a home turf earlier this year as well. So new zealand out for revenge in the final if england get that far. Thank you so much, i know that youre heading off to the commentary box for listeners on 5 live later on. But kick off here at the kingspan stadium, home of ulster rugby in belfast, a quarter to eight this evening. Many thanks. Itsjob done for celtic after reaching the group stages of the champions league. They took a 5 0 lead into the second leg of their tie with astana, a match which finished 4 3 tonight. Having gone a whole season undefeated in the scottish premiership last season, Brendan Rodgers and his side will now get to showcase their talents in europes elite club competition. As adam wild reports. No letup in concentration, that was the for celtic. They took a 5 mil meat on the first leg and those who made the trip might be forgiven for relaxing just a bit. For astana this was a lost cause relaxing just a bit. For astana this was a lost cause 01 so relaxing just a bit. For astana this was a lost cause or so the scoreline suggested. But not as comfortable perhaps a celtic might have hoped. A moment to refocus and remember the game. Astana now needed another six. An Impossible Task perhaps but they we re an Impossible Task perhaps but they were not willing to give up. Soon it was 3 1, enough to give them some hope. But for celek for celtic are nervous shuffle rather than panic. The impossible appearing just a little less so. It took a deflected effort to settle it finally, Leigh Griffiths ensuring that celtic went through. The Anti Racism Group kick it out have called for a comprehensive and independent review into claims by footballer eni aluko that she was subjected to bullying and discrimination by the england womens manager mark sampson. Her accusations come after two previous investigations had cleared him of any wrongdoing and he denies alukos latest claims. Paul mortimer who works with the campaign group, says it deserves further investigation. I think ithinki i think i suppose with the revelations that have come out now from eni aluko, these contradict totally what the findings of the fa investigation highlighted. And there is definite conflict between what eni aluko is saying and what we heard from the fa. It is somewhat confusing also, they have been allegations of racist language that has been denied. I suppose what we wa nt to has been denied. I suppose what we want to be able to do is clear up the confusion. For there to be a clear and comprehensive investigation which highlights as opposed from the process, from the minute the first allegation was made to this moment. What is the process to this moment. What is the process to get us here. Because after all of that, two investigations, were still not quite sure who said what and how it impacted on everyone involved. You talk about balance but there was an independent investigation alongside the fa investigation alongside the fa investigation and they found there was no case to answer. They did and im sure both investigations did but again in light of the recent revelations, they show a completely different story. If you listen to what eni alu ko different story. If you listen to what eni aluko is saying, there were a couple of comments made that clearly were setting and defensive in nature. That were not part of investigation. When it appears eni aluko the fa had all of information at hand. But these were not part the investigation and one or two things that eni alu ko investigation and one or two things that eni aluko has said will not pa rt that eni aluko has said will not part of the investigation. So it begs the question as to why things we re begs the question as to why things were allegedly ordered the arrest of been omitted from the final findings. Paul mortimer are there. And the fa say that eni aluko refuse to ta ke and the fa say that eni aluko refuse to take part in investigations and missed the opportunity therefore to provide detailed evidence to the barrister and the fa said a disappointed that she chose not to do this. Barcelona are to sue former player neymar, just weeks after his 200 Million Pound world record move to paris st germain. A warning there is some flash photography coming up. The brazilian player moved to the french capital after they met his buyout clause. But barcelona are now claiming breach of contract over a bonus payment triggered when he signed a new five Year Contract last october. The spanish club say theyre seeking 7. 8 Million Pounds in damages, plus an additional 10 in interest. Chris froome will have a second day in the leaders red jersey at the vuelta a espana. The four time Tour De France champion is trying to become the third man to win the grand tours of france and spain in the same season. He had no trouble preserving his two second lead on a fairly flat stage four. Italys Matteo Trentin sprinted to the stage win in the catalonian port city of tarragona. Froome finished in the main bunch to keep the red jersey although only 11 seconds separate the top six. And still to come in the programme, the family that triathlons together, stays together. As they are all prepared to compete at the World Championships next month. England are through to the semi finals of the womens eurohockey championships in amsterdam. The defending champions beat scotland 2 nil to progress to the last four. England took the lead following this great pass from anna toman. Before this goal from a penalty corner by Giselle Ansley securing the points. The result means scotland are eliminated from the tournament. Coming in we knew that they were goodin coming in we knew that they were good in defence and they would drop deep. We knew it would be a close game especially in the first half and it was. We knew if we continue to do the right things through the game opportunities would open up. We had a fantastic first goal and then a second so really happy. Meanwhile in the other game in pool b germany beat ireland 5 1 to reach the last four with their Third Straight win of the competition. The teams captainjack rutter joins me now to look ahead. Jack, thanks forjoining us. And as a result of your injuries it meant you were unable to play professionally. Just tell us how then you came to captain the cerebal palsy Football Team . We finished this, the highest finish in the history of our sport and hope to do better than that in argentina this summer.
