i don't wake up every morning and think i am going to be gay bashed but it is a strong part of people's experience of modern britain and ijust worry about some of the language. we've talked about some of the anger you feel with conservatives but it's clear that you build relationships with conservatives to get things done and at the beginning of this conversation, you said you were notjudgmental. is that crucial to your politics? it's crucial to me being me. i'm not a fundamentalist either so i have lots of friends on the conservative benches, genuine friends, people i would go for a drink with, and we will have a good old row and a barny, i don't take it personally, and i think that's an important part about recognising the nature of representative democracy. does the labour party need to discover that?
