The greek government denies it, but the bbc is told that two syrian migrants who were trying to illegally enter greece from turkey have been shot dead. Are you sure they were dead, i say. Theyre dead, it was in front of me, and he shows me where they were hit. Let me bring you up to date on every element of the coronavirus outbreak. First italy where all schools and universities will close on thursday and will stay closed until 15 march. There are more than 3,000 cases in italy, and 107 people have died. Reuters is also reporting that cinemas and theatres may close. And there may be a suspension of events of any nature that entail the concentration of people and do not allow for a safety distance of at least one metre to be respected. Bethany bell is in milan. Schools and universities in the north of the country, areas that have been hit the hardest by the coronavirus, have been closed for a number of days already. Now it appears the government has taken the step of closing them across the country. Some say the government has acted too slowly, it should have taken more stringent measures early on. Others say no, it did take stringent measures. It locked down some of the towns in the north, these 11 towns in the north where the outbreak was first detected. And other people say yes, we are worried about this in terms of health, but what about our economy as well . This is having a terrible impact on business here, on tourism. So you have very varying ideas and now it seems that children wont be in school, and there will be questions about childcare issues, what it means for people going about their day to day work. Many questions here and people are very uncertain as to how long this is going to go on for and what is going to do for the country. The northern regions of veneto and lombardy are the focus of italys outbreak. There are already two quarantine red zones a third around the city of bergamo is being considered. Already eight Chinese Restaurant workers in the city have travelled back to their homes in the city of wenzhou, in china. They have all tested positive. The virus originated in china, of the 92,000 cases of the virus worldwide more than 80,000 are from there. But the number of new cases in china has been falling, and authorities there want to keep it that way. Wanyuan song from bbc reality check has been following the story. Chinese authorities called those cases backflow cases. Those are the people who contracted the virus outside china and are bringing it back. The 80 Chinese Workers who returned from italy worked for the same restaurant and they are all from the city of wenzhou. Six of them travelled to moscow and shanghai and one place flew through germany. The chinese authorities are worried about those cases. They have traced down a dozen people who had contact with those workers. They estimate 100,000 such workers in italy. China worries about those backflow cases. Two cases confirmed in raising recently are people returning from iran. There are at least five backflow cases in china now. The number is still increasing. From china to israel. Its issued a quarantine order on all travellers arriving from germany, france, spain, austria and swtizerland. So far, israel has 15 cases. It has already barred entry to foreigners travelling from italy. Anna foster is injerusalem. Even as that announcement was being made we know there are at least ten flights in the air from those countries heading here. People are going to arrive at Ben Gurion Airport to be told they have to go to immediate self quarantine for 14 days. The other big announcement that was made is that gatherings in israel of more than 5000 people will be banned. It raises an awful lot of questions. Youve got a stadium where a Football Team play their home games. Whether they will go ahead behind closed doors, we dont know. But people will not be able to gather en masse in this stadium. Speaking of questions, youve got over here the mall. It has 2000 parking spaces. We know for a fact that at certain times of the week when its full there will be these 5000 people in there but what we dont know, what israelis dont know, is what is going to happen in that situation. This story has so many elements the movement of people is one, another is the movement of medicine. India has limited the export of 26 key ingredients for drugs including paracetamol. There are increasing fears of global shortages of commonly used drugs. Sharanjit leyl has more on this from singapore. Indian drugmakers we know are amongst the Worlds Largest supplier of generic drugs. Incredibly worrying that theyve restricted exports of some 26 key ingredients in medicines. This comes as drug ingredient makers in china remain shut or cutting output among the coronavirus crisis. Indias drugmakers rely on china for nearly 70 of the active ingredients in their medicines. Industry experts have warned they are likely to face shortages if the coronavirus epidemic continues. Analysts say there are indications that the scarcity of ingredients is already forcing up prices but the Indian Government has urged calm over its announcement and said there were enough stocks to last for up to three months. Over in the united states, ten people have died from coronavirus in the seattle area, out out of 39 reported cases there. Just over an hour ago, it was reported that one person has died in california. Drjennifer nuzzo from Johns Hopkins centre for health securityjoins us. Whats your assessment of the outbreak in Washington State . M seems to be centred around a Long Term Care facility which obviously houses people that are particularly vulnerable to severe illness and death. A very u nfortu nate illness and death. A very unfortunate situation. How does the situation there play into situations that must be made at a federal level about how the virus is handled in the us . First of all it should point to the need to protect vulnerable groups, Group Settings with Underlying Health conditions which may make them more likely to experience health problems. That should be top of the list but it is ha rd to should be top of the list but it is hard to generalise the case numbers and death numbers from washington to other places. Places with those facilities remain at risk but it doesnt necessarily speak to the risk to the general public. In the last three minutes weve spoken about china, restricting peoples movements, israel restricting people, italy is closing schools and universities. Do you think any of those measures will be applied in america soon . We are still looking at travel and i think that countries are doing this, this is increasingly becoming futile because as we continue to learn we dont have a great sense of in the world the virus is and where it isnt. I think these attempts to add to the countries for whom travel may be restricted, where screening is done, its going to be not affected. I expect well see school closures. Its not clear how much of a Public Health impact this will have but from a political sense there will be strong calls for it. I hope that in thinking through these measures we evaluate the potential negative outcomes as well as what benefits we think they may have. From a global perspective, it will be hard for me and many people to assess the speed with which the virus is spreading because we arent expert at charging that. As you look at it, help us understand what you make of the pace of change with this . Weve always believed its possible for the virus to spread rapidly and silently, so we would see cases turn up and then a rapid increase in cases. But a note of caution about countries reporting cases. 0ften its because they are just starting to look and as they are increasing surveillance we see more cases because they are getting a window into what is happening. It is hard to interpret the reports about it getting worse but i suspect every country is going to see cases and every community is going to see them at some point. Thank you. From the outset of this coronavirus outbreak, weve been told not to panic. And this is certainly not a moment for panic or high anxiety. It is a moment for vigilance. Not everyone is taking that advice. This is in sydney. And in australia and new zealand the hashtag toiletpapergate started trending. People were posting pictures like this and this. There were reports that police in sydney were called after a knife was pulled in an argument over toilet roll. Some supermarkets like woolworths have introduced a four pack limit for each customer. Now this rush on toilet paper is happening in australia where there have been two deaths from 42 cases. And in new zealand where there are two cases. So nowhere near the level of outbreak seen elsewhere. And bear in mind manufacturers say theres no shortage of toilet paper whatsoever. But on the shelves its a different story. This is the toilet paper ill. Absolutely none left. So thats toilet rolls next condoms. More empty shelves in australia. In part we think driven by images like one which apparently show people in singapore putting them on their fingers to avoid contact with things like lifts in buttons. Very hard to establish whether this is actually happening but condoms are definitely selling out in some places. And panic buying is also affecting hand sanitiser, face masks and goggles to the frustration of those who actually need that kind of stuff. Remember the us Surgeon Generals tweet . And this is what the International Monetary fund is saying. I cannot emphasise enough how urgent it is for authorities to lean forward in funding outbreak related health spending. And the need to match demand with supply of the necessary protective Treatment Health products. For all the advice, the buying goes on. And the prices go up. This bottle of germ x hand sanitiser is currently selling for almost 70 on amazon. 10 times its normal price. This set of 20 respiratory masks from 3m will cost you 387. Instead of the usual 15. Now those masks are the standard that Health Authorities use. The extra twist here is that people are also paying a lot more for basic surgical and paper masks. And they wont help you. Heres fergus walsh. Paper facemasks arent really much good. They may give a false sense of security. Leave them, id suggest, to the medical staff because they must be changed frequently. They are quite good at preventing someone with infection from passing it on. Thats traditionally how they been used by those people should now be staying at home. We will come back to the coronavirus story shortly. And the situation on the border between greece and turkey because thousands of migrants are gathering there and the situation is very tense. Borisjohnson has told mps that he is sticking by the home secretary following further allegations of bullying against her, which she denies. Priti patel sat next to mrjohnson during Prime Ministers questions in the commons this afternoon. Mrjohnson insisted that claims, she had mistreated staff, would be investigated. But our chief Political Correspondent vicki young says despite his backing ms patel isnt out of the woods just yet. Potentially further down the line, this industrial tribunal. If former Civil Servants or even current Civil Servants decide to give evidence, it seems at the moment that they will do, that could be extremely difficult for priti patel. She has the support of the Prime Minister at the moment but you have to wonder, with the work the home office has to get done, the new immigration system for example, extra policing, all of those things she has to deal with, this is a very difficult time for her, even though she does have the support of the Prime Minister. 0ur lead story is . Italy is shutting down schools and universities as it tries to stop the spread of coronavirus. At least 25 people have died after tornados tore through the us state of tennessee early on tuesday. In nashville, buildings collapsed and tens of thousands of people were left without power. President trump has said he plans to visit the stricken areas on friday. At least 21 people have been killed in torrential rain thats hit the brazilian states of sao paulo and rio de janeiro. Violent storms in recent days have dumped a months worth of rain on some areas in a matter of hours. More than 30 people are missing in sao paulo. The worlds only known albino orangutan has been spotted alive and well on the indonesian island of borneo, more than a year after she was released into the wild. The blue eyed primate called alba was rescued in 2017, after being held captive by local residents. More on bbc. Com. news. There have been more clashes on the Turkey Greece border. The turkish Authorities Say a migrant was killed by greek fire near one crossing this morning, while an eye witness has told the bbc that they saw two syrians killed last night. Theyre claims greece has denied. Tensions have been growing since the turkish government announced it would no longer prevent migrants and refugees travelling on to europe. Jonah fisher sent this report. This river is the border between greece and turkey. Turkey on this side, the European Union isjust over there. Weve been speaking this morning to migrants who tried to make the crossing by boat overnight. Although it doesnt look particularly fortified at the moment, were told when the migrants reach greece, they are quickly confronted by the greek authorities and sent back. Men like mustafa from senegal. We came across him walking with two afghans. Theyre unlikely allies with no common language but a common goal europe. Mustafa says they were part of a group who landed in greece last night and were violently returned. I was injured, he said, but i saw two people shot in front of me. Two syrians. Are you sure they were dead, i ask. Theyre dead,it sure they were dead, i ask. Theyre dead, it was in front of me, and he shows me where they were hit. Further north, more chaotic scenes ata further north, more chaotic scenes at a border crossing. The turkish authorities released this footage and say that the migrant was killed by the Greek Security forces. Greece has denied killing anyone and says it is all turkish propaganda. But theres no doubt that the turkish authorities are cynically bringing desperate people up to the border to mmp desperate people up to the border to ramp up the pressure on europe. We chanced upon this bus full of migrants. Where are you from . From afghanistan . From syria . Migrants. Where are you from . From afghanistan . From syria . Have you brought these people from istanbul to go to the border . This clearly has official approval and the police werent very keen for it to be filmed. And so the migrants keep arriving. Some of them like these pakistanis, already tooled up for the river crossing. Theres nothing spontaneous about this. Its being deliberately orchestrated by turkey. But greece pass response is little compassion. The flare up of the migrant crisis in the region has its roots in syria. Government forces supported by russia have been trying to retake idlib provine from jihadist groups and Turkish Backed rebel factions and the advance is displacing millions of civilians. Many of them are crossing into turkey which as weve just heard has responded by opening its borders with greece. These satellite images from syria show how parts of idlib have become uninhabitable. The original image you can see here is of a residential area in idlib injuly of 2018. Now take a look at this. Less than a year later, in may 2019. The homes are reduced to rubble while the surrounding fields have been reduced to scorched earth. This image was taken in september 2017. It shows a field which at the time was being used for agriculture. By december 2019 that same field has transformed into a makeshift refugee camp. Almost a million civilians have been displaced there in just the last four months. Heres more from lina sinjab. The images are a catastrophic and imagine most of the images weve seen are from 2018, before the destruction of further towns and cities around the province in idlib, pushing the1 million refugees cities around the province in idlib, pushing the 1 million refugees weve seenin pushing the 1 million refugees weve seen in the last picture in tents, taking over a range of farmland. Thats a repetition of many displacement and destruction stories happening over the last eight or nine years in the syrian war. For many people you talk to in idlib, it is those living in tents in this extreme cold weather under the snow, most of them, almost half of them, 1 million in these camps, are women and children. They say that the world has forgotten them, that the world has forgotten them, that the world seems to have lost its humanity, by watching these images, knowing whats happening, because the story has been reported, but no one is doing anything to stop their misery. Back to the coronavirus. The interational Monetary Fund is warning coronavirus will likely push Global Growth below last years subdued level. Its said it will make 50 billion in funding available for developing countries to fight the epidemic. Meanwhile its expected congress may approve 8. 3 billion in emergency funding including money to develop vaccines. Samira hussain is in new york. Assuming the money goes through, why does Congress Want it to be spent . Domestically, to help different states try and combat the coronavirus. A lot of the money will go to help with getting materials and getting a lot of states prepared for what might happen. And of course this is really crucial. Weve seen that, a lot of people in the us have wa nted that, a lot of people in the us have wanted to see this kind of money being put forward. It comes in addition to other sorts of funding we are seeing from other avenues. As you pointed out, the imf is pledging 50 billion. Yesterday on your programme we heard from the world bank which is also pledging 12 billion for countries to try and combat the virus. It is a clear recognition of the kind of impact and devastating impact the coronavirus can have on individual economies. Thank you. Its estimated that 100,000 Chinese Students are unable to return to australia because of coronavirus. Phil mercer has the details from sydney. These students are the lucky ones, abbey flying to sydney before the travel restrictions were imposed, while karen spent thousands of dollars circumventing the ban, travelling through thailand. Dollars circumventing the ban, travelling through thailandlj dollars circumventing the ban, travelling through thailand. I was so frustrated when the travel ban was announced because most of my friends are still in china, enjoying holiday with their families and they couldnt come back any more. Frustrating. We felt like it is a betrayal of students. I feel happy that i can come into australia and continue. Chinese students contribute 10 billion to australian universities. The coronavirus outbreak has shown how dependent australian universities are on Chinese Students. With so many still stranded back home, many campuses are quieter than normal. There is uncertainty. No one knows when you travel ban will be lifted or what its longer term consequences could be for australias lucrative education industry. Australian universities are extraordinarily dependent on china, more dependent than any universities outside of china itself. We have courses of study that are over 85 chinese. We are in effect running an offshore Chinese University in some departments. Some High School Stu d e nts departments. Some High School Students from china will be allowed to travel to australia under strict conditions. Chinese University Stu d e nts conditions. Chinese University Students who spent two weeks in a third country are also able to come. For now, abbey and karen are happy to get on with their education. But until the restrictions are lifted altogether, schools and universities in australia will be counting the cost. We have important breaking news in terms of uk business. Some copyjust filed into the bbc newsroom by simon jack. A source at flybe. More detail from the bbc Business Editor saying that flybe is set to collapse putting 2000 jobs at risk. It will go into administration tonight or in the early hours. 2000 jobs at risk. A source telling the bbc and this is an expansion of what that copy was telling us, that the game is up. Ernst young are lined up as administratorfor the ernst young are lined up as administrator for the company. It is not expected the Civil Aviation authority will be included in bringing these people home, so some practical concerns for those caught up practical concerns for those caught up in that and longer term concerns for the employees of flybe. For this evenings look at the weather around the world id like to start in america where tornadoes on monday night and tuesday were deadly in some states. Nashville for example and unfortunately at this time of year you find that the waters are warming in the gulf of mexico, you have cold air in place across the continent and when they combine, you get intense rainfall. A storm risk into wednesday and thursday. The potential is there for some large rainfall amounts through the mississippi, which is already flooded. Further north you have that cold air. This is going to bring six inches of snow to the great lakes. Quite disturbed weather. Further west, where its been dry for much of february, in california, we may see a little bit of rain. There the rainfor see a little bit of rain. There the rain forjackson and tallahassee further south, really intense. As we are seeing in ecuador, a risk of flooding. Flash flooding and landslides in rio and the rest of eastern brazil has been so wet and the rain is evident here, a bit north of rio but the risk remains. Wildfires and heat across the south of africa. Rain is the concern for madagascar. We may see a storm developing in the indian ocean. That would enhance the rain further. More rainfor would enhance the rain further. More rain for northern india and more rain for northern india and more rainfor rain for northern india and more rain for indochina. Very dry here lately. More heavy showers through indonesia. At times we are going to see temperatures fluctuating in Southern China and hong kong with more rain to come and injapan. This cloud is the remains of a cyclone, as the. It will bring soaking rains on thursday for parts of queensland where we largely escaped the summer rain. That will be a Welcome Change but we may see some flash flooding. It moves into the tasman sea, that moisture, and it may return north into new zealand for the weekend. Ahead of it, a lot of warmth with that northerly breeze and then a drop off temperatures. The rain potentially driving next week. Arriving next week. Mild across the east of europe, so western russia but more wet and windy weather affecting the western side of europe. 0nce affecting the western side of europe. Once again come a very wet february. Very mild january. More rain to come. More snow for the alps, so increased avalanche risk. We need to be concerned about that and strong wind. As for the uk, more on that but it looks set to stay rather unsettled. For me, good evening. Hello, im ros atkins, this is 0utside source. Italy announces a newjump in cases of coronavirus and the highest number of deaths from the disease, outside china. The Italian Government is shutting down all schools and universities as it tries to stop the spread of the virus. Globally more than three thousand people have died from the outbreak. After super tuesday primaries in the us, billionaire Michael Bloomberg drops out of the race for the democratic nomination, instead hes backing this man. We are very much aligned and make no mistake about it. This campaign, will send donald trump parking. This campaign, will send donald trump parking. Biden and Bernie Sanders are now vying for the right to take on donald trump in november. The greek government denies it, but the bbc is told that two syrian migrants who were trying to illegally enter greece from turkey have been shot dead. I assure they were dead . They are dead. Yes they were in front of me andi dead. Yes they were in front of me and i show them where that was had. Yes they were in front of me and i show them where that was had. And us forces carry outan airstrike against taliban fighters days after signing a deal designed to bring peace to afghanistan. Things are becoming clearer in the race for the democratic president ial nomination. Mike bloomberg is out and says he will now backjoe biden. He gave his reasons in a speech in new york earlier. If you have a number i entered the race to defeat donald trump. Today i am meeting the race for the same reason. To defeat donald trump, because it is make it more difficult to achieve that goal. And with that, while Elizabeth Warren fights on, in reality the race is becoming a straight battle between Bernie Sanders and joe biden. Iam here i am here to report we have very much aligned and make no mistake about it, this campaign will send donald trump packing. We are not only are taking on the corporate establishment, we are taking on the political establishment. But we are going to land because the people understand it is our campaign, our ms. Nantes which is best positioned to defeat trump. Nantes which is best positioned to defeat trump. Two weeks ago, joe biden was down and very nearly out. Not any more. He pulled off a series of super tuesday victories winning 10 out of the 1a states upforgrabs. Bernie sanders took the other three. That will probably become four once california declares. So as things stand this is the delegates count. Joe biden 402, Bernie Sanders 314. Theres still a way to go. The first to reach 1,991 delegates takes the prize. So where could this race go next . Heres Barbara Plett usher. The democratic establishment was looking for a centrist front runner to ta ke looking for a centrist front runner to take on Bernie Sanders, but they we re to take on Bernie Sanders, but they were waiting to see ifjoe biden have what it took in South Carolina which is when he said he would come into his own with black voters. He said he was popular with black voters. He did have a resounding success there. Quite an influential endorsement, and quickly after that top government Top Democrats fell in behind him. Moderate nantes to not do very well in South Carolina, and they quit the race and came in behind them. Some of them, it seems like a lot number of voters to thank you from that. A large number of voters told pollsters that they were undecided until just a voters told pollsters that they were undecided untiljust a few days before super tuesday. He basically developed momentum and descendents. He is still the same man. His face about a surge of enthusiasm for a moment of clarity about stopping Bernie Sanders . Probably a bit of both. Moment of enthusiasm forjoe biden, he was a front runner for a large parts of last year, it was only when he started preforming in the primaries and debates that he began to do support. A performance that you saw in South Carolina at leading up to the vote and afterwards, was much more forceful, much more decisive, not much more leadership right. He still has the problems that he tends to meander tentacle problems that he tends to meander te nta cle off problems that he tends to meander tentacle off script, and sometimes not project leadership amongst other things. He was able to carry South Carolina and get them he has the swell of support behind him, that seems to have energised him. Swell of support behind him, that seems to have energised him. Michael bloomberg had an unconventional political strategy. He spent half a billion dollars of his own money and skipped all the early stages of the primaries, his focus was super tuesday. But wasnt it wasnt so super. Mr bloomberg tanked. According to tracking group kantar cmg he spent 254m on tv and radio advertising alone. This article from the guardian suggested he was simply trying to buy his way to the white house. However you describe the strategy, voters didnt go for it. Out of the 1a states which voted, mr bloomberg won only american samoa, a tiny us territory thousands of kilometres away. And after super tuesday the prospect of reaching the white house is equally distant. Nada tawfik, ny. Ive had a saying he was getting a speech in new york. She is either this now. It was quite curious once again. He looked happierand more relaxed than he ever has been during the campaign. Thats right. Also more emotional, more than ive ever seen him. Even as it when i covered him as mayor. It is uncharacteristically conditional and emotion. These past couple days on the trail has been inspiring for him. The best day of his life and tomorrow would be even better. It was really interesting is that he wa nted was really interesting is that he wanted to include a speech that he still thought he could have beat donald trump, but the numbers didnt work out for him. He really said this is the most important political sight of his life. He asked the crowd bear, the supporters, volu nteers crowd bear, the supporters, volunteers to endorsejoe biden, the whole reason he got into this race was because he was worried thatjoe biden it would not be able to beat donald trump. He came in, many were concerned he could possibly take votes away from thatjoe biden. Andy and he did not make any splash on super tuesday. He said america samoa when that tiny territory. Michael bloomberg going back supporting joe biden and hoping it is not. With his fortune as well to help democratics. I was going to ask about it he has all that money he was spending it on his own campaign with that switch to the writing campaign . He has made it clear that he will spend money, he will keep his office is open. We know he is endorsing joe biden. We know he is endorsing joe biden. We know his death efforts are going to help democrats. Planning on exactly how he will do that it is still early days. It is important that as he mentioned, this question was about what money and politics could do. For mayor bloomberg, there is too much around his candidacy. He had minorities not just is too much around his candidacy. He had minorities notjust from the black community but also muslims who are upset with his tactics here as mayor in new york. He had just so much baggage from his time here, that many people represented by along with hand using his fortune to not really build a grassroots support, but to put out slick ads to betray him and a leader like position. He is going to keep spending, but that question is an interesting one. Take away from his candidacy is a question of money in politics. Thank you very much. Thank you very much. Elizabeth warren is still in the race, but onlyjust. She didnt win any of the 1a states, and her route to the nomination appears close to impossible. Which has left lots of people asking why . . The bbcs jim naughtie took this on earlier. Shes a fabulous performer. She is a video have you made. But something about the way she comes across i dont know what it is, it is quite ha rd to dont know what it is, it is quite hard to put your finger on dont know what it is, it is quite hard to put yourfinger on it. And of course explaining the political alchemy between candidate and voter is always hard. But some people think they can put theirfinger on it. Tweet xenijardin, jenny shardenjournalist warren was the strongest candidate of all. Sexism is real. But is it as clear cut as that . Theres one inescapable fact, every american president has been a man. Sexism has of course contributed to that fact. But does it explain the troubles of the Warren Campaign . Some point to history to make their point and clips like this from 2008. What can you say to the voters in New Hampshire on the stage tonight who seem to write, 0bama more . That hurts my feelings. That hurts my feelings. Barack 0bama then added youre likeable enough, hillary, which wasnt his finest moment. Hillary clinton lost that battle for the democratic nomination, and lost to donald trump in 2016. Her likeability featured many times. Heres one example from the hill. The guardian calls it a likeability test, and argues it only applies to women. Politico picked up this point when Elizabeth Warren announced she was running. Tweet politico how does Elizabeth Warren avoid a Clinton Redux written off as too unlikable before her campaign gets off the ground . The senator responded to that with this video. Smiling and waving. In her post she says i hear women candidates are most likable in the quiet car but here we are. Elizabeth warrens disastrous super tuesday is symbolised by her failure to win her home state massacheussets. In this report, the New York Times argues she could not overcome the extra hurdles for women running for president. Lets be clear though, its not saying those extra hurdles are the only reasons for her difficulties. Heres Barbara Plett ushers analysis. Perhaps one of her bigger problems was that she tried to find a medium path between Bernie Sanders and he said call monitoring camp. She was saying id be progressive, liberal who can get things done. Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro was due to speak to journalists today about slow Economic Growth and coronavirus, but he didnt show up for his daily briefing. Instead, he sent this man. Hes a comedian called marvio lucio and as you can see he turned up dressed as the president. He offered bananas to the media, a reference to the name of a rude arm gesture that president bolsonaro often shows towards the brazilian press. Eventually the real bolsonaro did show up posing for the media with his impersonator. As you can imagine this has had a pretty mixed reaction in brazil. Katy watson is in sao paulo. Nothing really surprises me any more but even by normal standards this is quite unlikely. Absolutely these daily briefings that he does near the president ial palace had become a joke. Like talking to depressed. He doesnt hide his contempt towards the media. He very seldom does interviews with the media. Even for surprise serious political commentators at brazil. To put forward a canadian and set up his daily briefing, offering bananas as he mentioned. A vague gesture that he mentioned. A vague gesture that he makes towards the brazilian press. People have been surprised by this disappointed, the National Federation of generalists says this is just another warning sign that his contempt and disrespect towards the brazilian media. Some generalist if they cannot not shoving at . There area if they cannot not shoving at . There are a lot of people who have decided this is no point in getting these meetings. Why these gatherings if you like. There is this growing and feeling of lack of power. A lack of the being able to answer questions and get them answered. There is a growing feeling that actually turning after these events is proving useless. The relationship between the press and the government, is at a very low point. That is not the federation of generalist made the point. The warning thing is is when he says aggression towards journalist his followers on twitter, also weighing in. That creates even more difficult atmosphere. Did he tell us anything about coronavirus and weapons that was going to do . He turned up, made jokes, you can see the supporters laughing. The media walking away. That said the ministry of health is quite hard on Getting Press conferences as a third case has been confirmed. They are testing a fourth case as well. Thats a shame we can see katie not katie thank you very much. Apologies and you for the update. Apologies and you for the update. Were going to were talk about coronavirus again and all the different consequences its going to have. Stay with us on 0utside source, still to come. They are dealing with afghanistan but well see what happens. Levels of violence in afghanistan have only increased since saturdays bilateral deal between the us and the taliban was signed in qatar. Crucially the deal did not involve the Afghan Government because the taliban had refused to negotiate with them. Central to the obstacles facing the deal is a disagreement over prisoner swaps. Under the accord, some 5,000 taliban prisoners and 1,000 Afghan Security force prisoners are meant to be exchanged by the middle of next week. Thats because talks between the taliban and the Afghan Government are due to start on march 10. But afg hanistans president said on sunday that his government had not agreed to release prisoners. And on monday the taliban said talks would not take place if their prisoners were not released first. Today a taliban spokesman called for a de escalation of the conflict. Tweet suhailshaheen1 the Islamic Emirate plans to implement all parts of the agreement one after another to prevent conflict escalation. Targeting the taliban as they were assaulting a checkpoint. Lastly, and the lead of this agreement between us and turn it on, all sides of the conflict had agreed toa all sides of the conflict had agreed to a partial trace. Us and afghan officials, had expected that partial trace to be extended. Traditionally there is no mention of it, no mention of fixtures in the agreement that was signed.
