For the myanmar Domestic Workers, the situations tend to be worse than working conditions for other nationalities, which is what weve discovered in case work with them. Like youve mentioned, when they are young and they are put the situations it can be quite difficult for them to know how to cope with that. So some of the problems that they face when they come to our shelter would be salary related issues, unpaid salaries, large recruitment fee debts, so working without pay for up to eight months, co nsta nt without pay for up to eight months, constant verbal abuse, very long working hours.
