Will it be harder to defend it than it was to win it for the first time . No, easier. It was difficult to win the first one. The first one. It is something incredible for us, the first time in our history, but itsjust one, so lets go, lets try and win the Champions League. Nothing has changed from before when we didnt win it to when we won it last season. There are also eight games in the Asian Champions League on tuesday, with extra attention on the Competitoin Due to the involvement of the now star studded Saudi Pro League teams. Al nassr are one of them and got quite the welcome in iran for their match against persepolis. These are fans of their opponents, running after the team bus in an attempt to see Cristiano Ronaldo and the others. Al nassr will also travel to tajikistan in the group stage. Major League Soccer have terminated the contract of montreal midfielder Matko Miljevic following claims he played for an amateur team under a fake name. Reports in canada also alleged the player was banned indefinitely for punching an opponent while turning out for the local side. Mls said milijevic was engaging in conduct detrimental to the league and violating his standard player agreement. Jenni hermoso says calling up players who are boycotting spains womens team shows nothing has changed at the countrys football federation. Hermoso was the player kissed by the federation s former president Luis Rubiales after the World Cup Final last month an incident that led to rubiales resignation and a number of players deciding to refuse future call ups. Managerjorge vilda was also sacked, but new head coach montse tome has called up 15 members of that world cup winning team. Hermoso, though, was left out a decision tome said was to protect the player. But in a statement on social media, hermoso said, protect me from what . And from whom . We have been searching for weeks, months, even, for protection from the federation that never came. The people who ask us to trust them are the same ones who today disclose the list of players who have asked not to be called up. Much like week one, week two of the nfl ended with a major injury to one of the leagues stars. After Aaron Rodgers tore his achilles last monday night, this time cleveland browns running back nick chubb suffered what his team are calling a very significant knee injury. The american Tv Crew Covering the game said they didnt show replays of the incident in the Second Quarter of the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers because of its graphic nature, and its being reported chubb will miss the rest of the season. Without him, the browns lost to divisional rivals the steelers 26 22. He the captain, he is a leader, he is the definition of this team come of the city, of this organisation. Weve got a lot of, we have got some holes to fill for him. But i think jerome and those guys are going to step up and take the challenge. You know, youve got to really bring along notjust from the running back position, but my position as a leader, as a quarterback. And just as a whole as a team, weve got a lot of holes to fill well he is away. I mean, it is even tough to even speak of it, ijust want away. I mean, it is even tough to even speak of it, i just want to keep praying for him and his family. And just hopefully, we get the best outcome for him. A very difficult night for the cleveland browns, losing to their afc north rivals and also losing one of the games top running backs. Nick chubb is out for the season and Aaron Rodgers as well. More on that andindeed Aaron Rodgers as well. More on that and indeed the rest of the Monday Night Football in the nfl is available via our website. And you can head there for the Football News and the build up to their Champions League fixtures. Thats all the sport for now. Back to gareth in london. Thank you so much. Lets update you more on a breaking story this hour. Azerbaijan says it is taking Military Action after six people were killed by land mines in the disputed territory of nagorno karabakh. Four of the dead were staff of the azerbaijan interior ministry, with some reports describing them as police officers. Nagorno karabakh is legally recognised as part of azerbaijan, but the local population are mostly ethnic armenians. Azerbaijan blamed what it called armenian terrorists for planting the mines. Food and medical supplies have recently reached Nagono Karabakh for the first time in several months through a humanitarian corridor after an agreement was reached between the two sides in the conflict. Relations between canada and india have further deteriorated, with india expelling a Senior Canadian diplomat. It was in response to allegations that indian agents might have been involved in the murder of a canadian sikh activist. Hardeep singh nijjar was shot dead outside a temple in British Columbia less than three years after india designated him a terrorist. The Indian Foreign ministry described the allegations they were behind his death as absurd and motivated. Earlier, the canadian Prime Minister, justin trudeau, told parliament hed raised the issue with his Indian Counterpart Narendra Modi at the g20 summit. Over the past number of weeks, canadian Security Agencies have been actively pursuing credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the Government Of India and the killing of a canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh nijjar. Canada is a rule of law country. The protection of our citizens and defence of our sovereignty are fundamental. Our Top Priorities have therefore been, one, that our Law Enforcement and Security Agencies ensure the continued safety of all canadians and, two, that all steps be taken to hold perpetrators of this murder to account. Canada has declared its deep concerns to the top intelligence and Security Officials of the indian government. Last week, at the g20, i brought them personally and directly to Prime Minister modi in no uncertain terms. Our south asia correspondent Yogita Limaye gave us more background on the story. So, Hardeep Singh nijjar was shot dead on 18thjune by two masked gunmen outside a sikh temple in the canadian province of British Columbia. He was a prominent sikh leader and he publicly campaigned for a separate homeland for sikhs in the Punjab Region of india. Now, thats the reason why india had issues with him, with everyone whos a part of this movement called as the khalistan movement, which is campaigning for the separate homeland. India sees it as a challenge to its territorial integrity and its sovereignty. And its, you know, this has been one of the big reasons why ties between canada and india have been strained for a while now. We saw that here at the g20 summit, frosty ties between the two countries. Justin trudeau didnt attend the president s dinner for all of the Heads Of State and heads of government who were here, you know. And even during his meeting, the photograph of him with Prime Minister modi, lots of analysts looking at that said that it it showed and displayed just how frosty those ties have become. Now, theres been a new development in an unusual story from mexico. Doctors in mexico have carried out a series of tests on the remains of whats alleged to be a small alien body. Two of the non human bodies had been presented to Mexican Congress last week by journalist and ufo enthusiast jaime maussan. He says the pair were found in peru in 2017, and aren t related to life on earth. The story s sparked debate between the Scientific Community and the peruvian government. You can see the rather intriguing and potentially remarkable figures on your screen just there. I will leave you to yourselves to decide what you make of this. I m gareth barlow, thanks so much for watching bbc news. Hello. It s already been a wet day so far for quite a few of you and more rain to come through the rest of today. It s all linked in to an area of low pressure, which is to the north of the country. On the southern edge of it, strong winds and these Weather Fronts, which are just marching mainly across the central strip of the uk. The rain will ease off a little bit at times, although i suspect around the hills of northern england, south west scotland, Northern Ireland, North West Wales it will remain pretty damp throughout. A few passing showers towards the south coast. A few glimpses of brightness here, but here, and across much of england and wales, where we see the strongest of the winds today, gusting 40, 50, maybe 60mph. Winds a little bit lighter further north. But the rain gets heavier again this afternoon in Northern Ireland and south west scotland. Some of the brightest weather to be found today will be in Northern Scotland but, even here, a few passing heavy, thundery showers and fresher feel 13 to 15 degrees, compared to 19 or 20 celsius further south and east. It will feel reasonably humid here, but that will, of course, be tempered by the strength of the wind. Now, it will remain windy through tonight. The rain will become more extensive across scotland, Northern Ireland for a time, and then heavier bursts of rain march back into the north of england and across parts of wales for tomorrow morning. But with those winds still coming in from a south westerly direction, it s not going to be a cold night at all 15 or 16 degrees for many. Into wednesday, this Weather Front will bring something fresher gradually through the day, but it s going to be quite a potent feature. Starting in the north of england, wales and the south west, there could be some rumbles of thunder. Some pretty nasty downpours with that could cause some minorflooding. That will work its way eastwards, never quite reaching the far south east until late in the day. Brighter skies in its wake. Fresh feel in the breeze, but frequent showers across western scotland, Northern Ireland and the wind strengthening across the Western Isles where, as we go into thursday, we could see Winds Gusting 50, 60mph again here. But elsewhere, the winds will be lighter compared with the next couple of days. A sunny start, fresh start, but plenty of showers developing through the day. Some of those could be heavy and thundery. For all, temperatures in the teens. In the breeze and the showers, it will feel cooler. The change to the unsettled conditions is because we ve got the jet stream really piling across the atlantic and in these dips, we see areas of low pressure, one after another, but there will be a little bit of a gap between them, i suspect, through friday into saturday. So late on friday and early saturday, there will be some drier and brighter moments with some sunshine, but there s more wet and windy weather to come later in the weekend. Bye for now.
