Survivor on b.b.c. World sure the eye of the tiger so how you feeling this morning particularly if you're a rugby fan What's the anticipation like you never see you're excited by lunchtime we could be celebrating a Rugby World Cup win for England or they've got to do is get through a tough match against South Africa their opponents they're lining up for kick off at 9 o'clock this morning Swindon born Jonny May is a mean in England's starting line up Chris Jones from Dorset and Wilshere Rugby Football Union says the wing is a real inspiration to the next generation of players we get the local Premiership players come down to the clubs and support the clubs they get a solid through each club and things like that so so you get that linkage up to the aspiration that you can get only one or 2 get up there but it's still there was to be honest this is not going to be an easy ride for Eddie Jones his side or the Captain Owen Farrell hooker Jamie George says Farrell is renowned for his passion and his emotional team talks from the front is incredibly committed to the way that he performs the way he carries himself day in day out that's the sort of person you want to you know follow I think also he's he's developed in terms of his messaging to the team and how he builds that up towards the game on Saturday and makes the team for so ready on Saturday and and it builds our confidence up throughout the week well let's remember South Africa actually beat England in the Rugby World Cup final back in 2007 so it's not going to be easy but England got something to prove then Haven't I a coach Eddie Jones knows a thing or 2 about South Africa as well he spoke. Some time as one of their coaches and also beat them when he was the coach in Japan in 2015 the South African captain say they'll do all they can to make sure Jones loses this time around to be huge for us to lift the trophy you know not only huge for us for the country as Will and you know it's not a vote mean a whole what it would mean for me it's more with for the win for the team because we're all different as you can from tiffin walks of life but you know no matter where we come from we can point to one plane and we can achieve vocals so just on the 2 hours to go one hour 49 minutes if you want me to pursue this till England's big final against South Africa in Japan plenty more on the build up to the game throughout the Breakfast Show this morning we want to hear from you as well are you gathering somewhere in Wiltshire with a crowd of people ready to watch the game maybe your imposition already for the build up to the game where you're going to be watching the rugby today who are we going to be watching the rugby with and how you're failing let us know I get a touch of us this morning you can call us now 8000 to 8 double 3 double sex. The breakfast show for Saturday morning good morning to you and says stop he was a very wet blustery weekend with us. For you from the full chops reach B.b.c. Well sure. Reach out go on reach out I'll be there coming up to quarter past 7 Saturday morning on the Breakfast Show I know Guy Fawkes night isn't typically well is and is not traditionally until Tuesday is it shews Day Remember remember the 5th of November but there are an awful lot of organized bonfire and firework displays happening across this weekend and what particular if England win today if you're looking to go out and celebrate again see some lovely fireworks tonight we've got all the firework displays we know where they are and we'll be rounding them up for you between now and 730 so if you fancy going out tonight or tomorrow to one of the organize far what displays in the county well let you know where they are what time they start all the details but we now and half past 7 if you're organizing a properly organized display and you'd like us to get a man to give it a mention the smaller tweet him with the details on Twitter or you can send us a text message with the word We'll share and text us 81 triple 3 or just give us a call this morning tell us all the details and again we'll include your organized bonfire and firework display in our little round up now we're talking about electric cars on the program the small and if you've got a you considering buying an electric car a government report says councils need to do more to encourage electric car use by installing charging points across will share and Swindon at the moment there are around about 120 charging points Richard from Will should council has been telling me more about their efforts to well get us to go green We have a 141 charging points in the county because government released around 20 I'm not quite sure how that happened so yes we have been doing a fair amount this definitely more to do we are at the moment looking as part of our program covered option for the council itself but the park rights as a whole Supreme possibly putting says it will take so was across the top of this. One of those sites possibly more than one to generate energy and if we did that that would be an obvious point for putting in a lot more charging points we've heard from several motoring experts recently about what concerns they have for the electric cars simply can't handle long journeys because they need to be recharged with that in mind you slightly restricted by the technology you're dealing with at the moment. To an extent we are I think it leaves the range of a true Kansas improving the range of some of the routers ones is supposedly now to the point where you were able to get a good 200 miles. Something manufacturers say more I gather from testing that it is perhaps a little bit less than the manufacturers claim but the range is getting better but even so in a large rural county it does mean. That that until you get a range the last people to make a sort of typical rural journey to and from work if there isn't a charging point where viability is limited. Partly that will be solved by better technology coming along through and through cars or possibly hydrogen cars that there's a lot of talk about hydrogen as a another way of of having more renewable energy from the car but we as part of that program we need more charging points today because there's been a couple of blows here and will shatter the whole electric car industry Honda making that decision to make their electric cars in Japan and more recently Dyson deciding to scrap completely their electric car project having Jim again that doesn't do anything to promote electric cars in the technology does it I think it shows part of the competition that's now coming out from car manufacturers to. We're all looking at promoting electric vehicles I think it also shows that the technology is difficult and one of the downsides to electric cars moment is that the batteries are extremely complex to produce and there's no. A lot of us of carbon that goes into producing the batteries so I think it's a case of the technology is sort of only on the cusp of becoming truly viable it's just not quite there yet and so right now is there an argument that actually we should be encouraging more people to leave the car and use public transport instead again a lot or all county if you can use public transport that's great but we can vary the number of villages that the number of crashes we have across which are public transport will not work for everyone so yes if you can use it absolutely it's a great way of getting around it's more effective in in a city environment so again it's something that it's possible makes but with of a large rural area I will ship there is not going to be one simple solution it's going to take a mix of technology more public transport a change in the way people use it and what about you do you have an electric car I'm afraid I don't when I I looked at getting my my last car which was a couple of years ago that wasn't one with a range that get me to and from County Hall. Says I wasn't able to use that also and I did look at it quite seriously but also the price of electric cars is a little it's still a little expensive and I was buying what was in essence of run around. And so I went with instead the cheapest Miss fuel efficient car I could find Richard from Welsh accounts so the challenges they're facing with electric vehicles Swindon Barack ounce will say they're installing electric vehicle charging points where they can also try to make it compulsory for housing developers to install charging points at new developments across the Bara interesting have you got an electric car you plays with it a you can you get what you need to go with and keep stopping to recharge so an interesting subject and one will return to later in the program.
