notably getting a little bit cooler now isn't it with us couple of days today not going to be the warmest I don't think but we'll get a full look at the weather later on in the program this morning but I think on the whole it should be OK I think it's so you know plenty of sunshine around or being bobbing well but it's a fairly chilly and today that little breeze there got a kid's birthday party I think going on at our house today our little one was that was not well in the night so I'm not sure what the situation is where it's actually happening or not but if it does and we're supposed to in this party and. She's desperate to have a party where she's got we got this paddling pool which has got a rock a rainbow on it and it's massive the whole thing any flight is like 3 metres long as he and we had this 1st party in the summer so it's had a couple of outings as this paddling pool and then with the weather being as it is this weekend I've ended up buying a massive tent. When our boat is 10 which is big enough to poor paddling pool ends up with a public pool inside the tent the tent is up the tent to survive the night as I'm in blown away which is you know a bonus obviously but the other problem is now that they are paddling pool in question has now got a slow punch as I've gone in there this morning and the whole thing is deflated to me all looks a little bit fed up and while all this or going to do anyway we'll see how things I'm sort of thing that fate is suggesting that this party's not going to happen today but we will say we will say and that's the reason we bought the 10 is to keep the wind off after all that. No doubt will rerun the party another day and I'll be like an Indian summer an unlikely scorcher so going to look at what the papers are saying very soon left saying well various things we'll see what the headlines are in there in a few minutes time and right now here's a NE classic but I mean Linda's from B.B.C. Has a son playing on the B.B.C. Tees Tempest 6 Good morning aim for Scots on Saturday Breakfast Scott though with from 9 o'clock this morning he's got Gary's D.J. Satchel. Tees imagine sharing the company with someone who was part of the life of a music legend Well it's because counted on rock N roll enthusiastic Jamie Bell invited the niece of Buddy Holly to fly to the northeast from a home in Texas to play live on her buddies birthday now if it wasn't for the. Crash that killed but he wholly aged 22 at the time he'd been 83 tomorrow Sherry Hawley doing the gig tomorrow night Gary Phillips and couldn't resist the have a chance to chat to Sherry and he started by asking about her family heritage very very famous musical. How difficult is it to carry that name or is it. It's not really difficult lot of members in my family have musical talents for instance my cousin 80 he plays in sayings he does a great job. She sings plays and she does a great job and I do the body music in. This and that other. Way really try to do it like buddy but if it comes out a little bit like when it was inherited this is going to be coursing through your veins this music yes it definitely is there when it's in your blood it's in your blood and you just got to go for it. That. Was. I was. Told. That horrendous incident was 8 years ago just a little one when I was a baby he would carry me around in sing to me. And I think that was pretty touching and. Pretty partial to me you can take to me like I remember when I get lost somewhere like a church they had a big basement in his hand because I was always having this fear of getting lost and he led me to my parents and he was just kind of a protector for me you know. He says. You know. I want to live with that on. That day he said Did you know how influential he was as a musician. I thought of him as because I was so small we never missed same like and then I found out that he was going to be on The Ed Sullivan Show so we stayed home from church that night and watched perform and I thought that was pretty. So because it just so you all the television on the. Bridges and there was because of what he did and how he did it and he was just a big inspiration to me I probably would have never written songs and saying Here are your city any kind of musical career if it hadn't been for. You you know what you could call this a pretty amazing that here we are 60 years tough to you could walk around this town no one knew was going to put a whole he's there we know he was. Still holding people's memories he has it's fascinating how people here in England love him so much it doesn't surprise me because we've always hard that the people in England seem to like him better than anybody he had a real good reception here and he loved you all as well I just want you to know. What does it feel like when you hear his music still being played on the radio how it's a great thing when I go to San Antonio for a part of my vacation you know just 3 months ago and I walk into this restaurant and they are playing his song so I tell everybody yeah it's meant to be you know. Do you feel these with you when you play in your music do you feel his presence at any time maybe sometimes like when I did. That show in the surf with Tommy also actually kind of feel something there is kind of a strange feeling. Kind of the sad feeling that same time listening to music you don't try to emulate your own go sometimes it just comes through does and yeah it just comes through that's what I've been taught. And he's got. To. Use what I most ask you how did you get invited to come here how did that journey happen well I J me also goes by ball the holly called me and asked me to like to come here and perform and sure yeah we have a show.
