Pages for you right now the weekend I has gone with escape is how they're covering yesterday's attack manhunt for chew bucket Boma failed terror attack in just 29 The Daily Mirror a Mother of Satan Q Boma set to blast on London in Russia is how the Guardian is covering the story this morning place military personnel now being deployed at key locations across the u.k. Following the race the terror threat to critical and that's the highest possible level 29 people injured in the explosion all happened at Parsons Green station in southwest London that's got the latest from our reporter Joe Tidman what do we know so far. When you James that this all of course relates to that explosion on the cheap train a Parsons Green station in southwest London it all happened at about 820 yesterday morning we now know that 29 people in total were injured they were mainly treated for burns thankfully none of those injuries that were life threatening that we do know that around 7 people remain in hospital including one who actually had to go to a specialist burns unit Now passengers who were on that train yesterday morning have described the bomb as a fireball and as you were saying in the i news paper this morning it is being described as a lucky escape it's thought the device hadn't gone off properly it did have a timer and people think that if it had worked as it should have done it would have caused death and far greater injuries that there are pictures across the newspapers this morning of this bomb it looks to be a white bucket in a supermarket carry a bag it's been described as an improvised explosive device right the police what are they said about searching for the attacker. Well as you can imagine the police are very much focusing their efforts on finding whoever was responsible for planting this device they are also increasing their presence on the streets and the key locations across the u.k. They are chasing down suspects they say and they've got hundreds of officers working on this case you might remember yesterday James that Islamic state claimed responsibility for this attack police have said that's really common for them to do this to claim the attack even if they haven't actually had any previous engagement with those involved the Mets Assistant Commissioner morrow he was talking last night and he said that they are doing all they can to find those responsible we have hundreds of police officers trolling through safely c.c.t.v. Footage detectives are spoke to tens of witnesses and we've taken the last number of calls to the answers what life for members of the public. And it's 8 members of the public of sent in so far $77.00 images and videos they taken at the scene we safe sent in to our appeal websites and these are being assessed for evidential value and show the prime minister has also been speaking about this. She has to resume a spoke a couple of times yesterday you know one such during the day really to reassure the public that the Government word we're dealing with this she last night came out and said that they are changing the terror threat to critical That's the highest possible level and it means really that the government think that a further terror attack could be imminent she said last night as well that the military is going to be providing support to police a key locations across the u.k. And that they're also going to replace people on all those offices that are on guard duty at national infrastructure sites where the public doesn't have access at the prime minister said that all of this really was a necessary decision as a portion of it and sensible step which will provide extra reassurance and protection while the investigation progresses so the public should go about their business in the normal way and as usual be vigilant and cooperate with the police terrorism is a great challenge of our times but by standing together we will defeat it. So there will be around a 1000 police offices across the country while the threat level remains at critical it's interesting to note James this is the 5th terror attack just this year just in 2017 here in the u.k. But thankfully it is the only one in which nobody has been killed so thank you it's b.b.c. Sorry more from inside space in the next. Time . You. Buy. You. Love. But. My. Goal is. To run I. Love. You know 2 wins we could be up there. Which seems a bit strange with the season that we've heard there has been a lot of draws but some of those draws have been excellent fording draws I think last year we rolled over a few times been really pleased with the spawn that we've shown. Hampshire drew their rain ruined match against Middlesex at Oxbridge sorry opening batsman Jason Roy and his pace bowling teammate Tom Curran are both in the England squad for tonight's one off t 20 international against the West Indies act chest at least St As is the Hampshire slow left arm spinner Liam Dawson Boyd up by a creditable draw at Steven age in midweek Crawley Town have a chance to test themselves the next high flying Notts County this afternoon Harry cures side need to improve so that they don't flirt with relegation as they did under Dermot Drummy last season but it's been a good reaction since I've walked into the club again everyone Juno was finding their feet but again live there or opened up and they've all been positive and again they're working hard we know it's not going to turn corners straight away we know we have to work to succeed at this and then we will and when we do that we'll be happy. In the National League all shocked visit Gateshead Gary Wardak side lost in last season's playoff semifinals and already 3rd after 10 games this time around everyone who wants to be top everybody thinks they should be top but there's a lot of strong sides in this division for the course of the season you're going to have pies and loads teams are going to have problems in terms of injury suspensions but it only really counts right at the end and I said last year judge Judge everyone at the end of the season at the end of season. Woking welcome the league leaders something united in a cracking local Darby with the cards are aiming for a 5th home win of the campaign all 3 games will featuring Joe Torre but afternoon show from 2 o'clock the shots on the cards are also live online John you Riccardo was quickest in practice for tomorrow's Singapore Grand Prix with Lewis Hamilton 3rd and Sebastian Vettel only the 7th fastest in rugby union a share of our at home to Roslin park on the world's oldest classic horse race Lisa Leger is off at Doncaster a 335 b.b.c. Sorry sport I'm John Lee b.b.c. Sorry Well we we James Cameron and. Good morning welcome to Saturday tell me thank you on the way in the next 20 minutes going to be talking about the Southampton boat show also Richard Karan Judge Jackson is going to be in having a look at newspapers more on that on the way to. 23 minutes to 8 o'clock it's b.b.c. Sorry. Let's used. To. Play. A lick. Still lives. Oh oh. Segues me nicely into the Southampton boat so it kicked off yesterday 8 so open again today and in case you weren't sure if it will see a family event Well today's guest they've got turning up Gemma hunt c b b separate from swash buckle you know it I spoke to sorry man were to Robert he's the c.e.o. Of market dot com who was sponsoring this year's event and we've been talking about well what kind of a special event for this part of the world it is actually it's had a special event for the whole of the u.k. As well I have to say it's not just exclusive Hampshire come sure event. But no it's it is the Britain's biggest festival of boating so there's the big one says the small ones stand out highlights the sheer we've got some fantastic new events for the family we've got the paddle river experience we've got 600 brands on show hundreds of boats on display everything from all the way up to your super yachts and everything in between isn't much of a place where people actually just come and look or how much do they actually buy now it's it is a place for it's not all about buying boats this is about a family a family experience is about getting on the water people do buy boats obviously here it's a very successful showcase for for those but it's also living the dream as well we call the dream is here. And it's exciting it's exciting event for the family I've got to stress it's a family event Ok but come on I do want to do a little bit of the dreaming bit and somebody might be waking up this morning having won the year a W7C1X5W last night I don't care what see the most expensive boat you caught on show. I think we're looking sort of 20000000 something like that and what do you get for 20000000 or you could probably get a beautiful tri deck 3 day Jacuzzi. You know even a sauna. Listen for you though in the boat market one of the big challenges you know we've heard about the downturn of the last few years but sales have actually gone up from the Yes No I mean you know we can talk we can talk written down all you like but as far as I'm concerned it's positive. You know the industry I know I know talking to industry leaders and manufacturer is the order books. Are entered into 2080 now. So you know the I think the most poignant thing really is that great British manufacturing is coming up and if we can if we can absolutely push our our brands out there to the world to them then I think that's where we've got to be going now it's exciting time for the marine industry as a whole and so somebody comes along taking the kids along having a really good day out of the post themselves how many of them are a u.k. Maid I think is a majority I could not answer that one but you know we've got a huge amount we've got everything from sort of the big manufacturers to the small bespoke So as Save we've got gays ribs which the region inflatables up to a power boat sail boats catamaran all sorts of things so you know there's something for everybody but also I just want to stress that you know this is a family show. You know we've got the paddle boat experience people can get on the water with the show passenger boat and you know it's going to be wonderful it always is Richard thank you for your time appreciate it now that's Ok the time to live the dream live the dream he says saris richer Roberts the Southampton boat. It's a quarter to 8. You know. No. And you. Stereo undergrounds tonight from 6 b.b.c. Sorry. With the. Call. I'll call. Home. With. No cold call you keep. Beautiful South p.v.c. Sorry you keep it all in it's 8 minutes to 8 o'clock Saturday morning means we've got somebody here to look at papers and it's an author hello to receive care in Jackson Hello Virginia Water resident Yes I know that much about you I know you're an author. Every said Ok so I have recent over the last year was I right and it sounds weird because I'll be honest it will I know is that you've written some of the children spoke about postnatal depression Well it's yeah it is a bit of a story so I I had my little boy last year in 2016 and like a lot of people to went through some postnatal depression and I really needed to find a way out of this so I decided to find a kind of escapism and for me what that meant was escaping into a children's Well the children's land and and making some stories about a little boy called call in which is named often when it's a boy and his dog. And they travel around the well to different cities and they're exploring all the marks and Trista areas. And sites and at the end of each book they find a friend in the city so it's a it's a series of books it covers different cities around the world and different friends that they find you know how did that help you then so for me it was it was literally that yes k.p.c. Being able to come out of my my daily life which I'm sure most people can relate to when you've had a child it's a lot of is reteamed And it's it's pretty standard routine of feeding and burping and changing nappies and so forth and you know to give you some perspective I've come from a corporate career so it's vastly different from what I was used to so I just don't get an instruction manual that's the thing I exactly know that's exactly and I think a lot of people in today's age where we've got all sorts technology you need that stimulation so for me it was Ok I've got to find something my sweet spot shall we say where I'm you know find some stimulation it's escapism from daily grind so every time baby was napping or every time it was time to the baby down for that the night I would go off and I'd write these books while most people have gone off and slept Yes well I did try to catch a wink when I could but for me it was it was state of mind did you feel your depression lifting then when you when you were writing yes alongside other therapy say you know I did see a counsellor who helped me through you know my state of mind my well being and you know I was on some medication and things it's a weird thing because we hear about it the whole time and do thing is it's ignored accepted her we're post and I thought the person well I'm I'm really glad to hear that actually is becoming the forefront of a lot of work that's been done by charities nowadays you know as well as people employees and things being far more aware and open and susceptible to it so I think it is something that is becoming more acceptable however there is still stigma attached to me along. Time to be able to say to anyone that I went through this. Or . Some of that in about half an hour. I have time I've got to be honest with the technology we have today everything's on my fire everyone who does that every time I have a gander 3 paper. Saturday morning it's. Working is to be one of 5 areas where voters will be required to show identification for the 1st time at a little action it's part of a trial which could be extended across the country to tackle electoral fraud Josephine is b.b.c. Well support for people with motor neuron disease in East sorry sent to improve things imparts to the ice bucket challenge a new specialist read neurological conditions post has been created which has been paid for in part by the recent fund raising efforts it's the 1st job of its kind in summary I will ensure that people can access services as early as possible. Campaigners are calling for a 50 percent cut in air passenger duty to boost the economy post breaks it by trying to more tourists and business to Britain the group of Fair Tax on flying says u.k. Travelers currently pay the highest rates in Europe and business correspondent Joe Lyneham has more air passenger duty is applied to all flights departing the u.k. And ranges from $13.00 to $450.00 pounds per flight but research from the campaign group a fair tax on flying says a p d amounts to an additional tax burden of $400000000.00 pounds on British travelers the equivalent taxes are lower in all other European countries the group whose members include airlines airport operators and the tourism sector says a 50 percent cut in the duty could have a net positive gain of $570000000.00 pounds making the u.k. More attractive to investors abroad and the American actor Harry Dean Stanton has died at the age of 91 during a career spanning 16 years he played roles in such films as alien and The Godfather Part 2 b.b.c. Sorry news now with your latest sport his jollies Good morning Essex of one crickets County Championship title but sorry and Hampshire who drew their matches yesterday still have a bit to do to ensure that they avoid relegation in football Crawley welcome Notts County all the short of gone to Gateshead and Woking have a highly anticipated home match with their local rivals Sutton United who head the National League Lewis Hamilton was only 3rd and Sebastian Vettel no better than 7th in practice for tomorrow's Singapore Grand Prix will have the sporting fall after the half hour. Checking the weather today another bright day scattered heavy showers across the area northeast time here and the old rumble of thunder the south and in 16 and 61 showers though will die out tonight play spells overnight down to 8 and 46 more rain tomorrow but sun. And just a few heavy showers through Sunday will feel warm 17 and 63 the sunshine and the. Day unsettled from Wednesday on words. Can be found at b.b.c. . B.b.c. Sorry travel. Across the county now. In the High Street and way hill and the trains you can't see find on the boards and if you are hiding. I mean it's. The sunshine over the c.d.o. . The Ice Bucket Challenge Well some of the funds that were raised for much of the year ended Season 2014 being used now here in sorry. 2017 with a new specialist read neurological conditions post the festivus Condit story that will ensure that people can access services early and often ensure continuity and quality of care and it we caught up with Jane Giles from the m.e.d.s. I.c.a. Sion who told us more about the role currently there are no specialist practitioners or coordinators to help people with them and the to navigate and be supported through the myriad of services that they need in managing that very complex in the us but however in East sorry hopefully in a few months time we will have a specialist coordinator impose I'm a kind of difference will this make to people. People with my chair into these often have up to 20 different professionals coming in and out of their lives providing things like speech and language therapy occupational therapy physio therapy Dietetics palliative care services wheelchair services specialist equipment and so actually adding to deal with a very rapidly deteriorating condition facing lots of changes. And who's doing what Web this post to mean that they have a single point of contact somebody that will help them manage all of those different services coming in and out at the right time making sure they get the light services at the right time and improving that for that experience of living with my to the ranges ease and the care and support I get Let's bring in day set as he was diagnosed with my senior in disease back in 2012 day morning to you more what's your experience of all these different services sort of being thrown at you Well yeah it's a bit of a shock to have people suddenly want to visit you in your home but help is certainly out there if you know how fond I was doing certain the. Coordinator will be extremely valuable when in locating those those services and coordination coordinating them in the right way told me through your diagnosis and what's way not to live with well it's a devastating diagnosis it takes away your ability to use your limbs swallow speak and ultimately to breathe personally I've lost these my arms hands and fingers my legs and back and neck are slowly getting weaker but I can't be in the most mundane of daily tasks my wife Helen gave up work to look after me you have to think may trust me even scratch my nose if it's itchy. But what I really should say is I'm lucky compared to many others last week of July and fortunate 20 percent of us I think it is with them and they who have lived over 5 years half of the people die within 2 years and within a year or so the progression is often a very very rapid and so have a good support like those from health and social services and from the yellow and the association which offers great help that's that's what I thought I did did you do the Ice Bucket Challenge Yes indeed we did we live on percent average park here in South not filter on the whole family my 3 sons and wife coming together. In the pub garden and got drenched and soaked and ultimately I think the whole pump joined in with sas it which is good so Dave you know you want what you know you live every day to the fullest as much as you can absolutely and I'm really I'm driven because of this love you know months of luck some of the people I met in the community living with them and they are so wonderfully resilient and positive despite this terrible diagnosis and I really am very honored to speak out on their behalf and I can it's giving something it's these people's positivity that gets me out of bed in the morning from feeling sorry for myself and as far as you know the people who actually did the. Pocket challenge for me it's nice to know that there's some benefit actually coming back as well absolutely not you know a lot of people perhaps didn't understand what it was for but I would leave because of a lot of people in the I mean the telling them but then find out that it was the most senior around so a lot more people now know about the very very thing for us it's about awareness and awareness lately more funds for research and all that good talking to continued good luck as you call it you. Have a good Saturday b.b.c. Sorry. 14 minutes past 8 o'clock. Harry Met Sally can you guess the year my special guest is the fuck you strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood dressed as a zombie action they were very very pretty scary on the dancing show but also returning to the stage next week as the face of Miss Hannigan and at the Piccadilly Yes along the. Line b.b.c. Sorry. Sorry on a Saturday morning but catch up with Danny in the next 10 minutes and give us a stare as to what's happening with the rewind at 9 in the rest of his show. Here with The Rock n roll cafe for May Day Today it's always a great listen he put so much work into it and you can hear it coming at the speakers for 2 hours from. 2 o'clock and we keep updated with all the support the soft and now newspapers they were. On a Saturday and. Karen Jackson is here and she's a Virginia Water resident. Written some children's I have a children's book selling by the way yeah very well that you can patch them from. U.k. . But with case kind of so you constantly So just looking at how many sales we've made in that kind of you know I'm not doing it for any of the profit when I say profit actually a little bit I donate back to charities that deal with mental health so it's really more just for myself it's my hope is my interest and actually is my way of giving back to the community I was called newspapers who got close to get through. A story about the happiest place in the u.k. Yes So Brighton tops the list the case happiest city by a contrast we've got Edinburgh that's considered the most depressing Wow Is there any clue is somewhat they've actually uses the parameters of happiness and well they they did a study and they also 3000 Britons to consider their wellbeing describe a word they would use to describe where they live and everything used the word happy for Britain and in contrast about 60 percent use use the word happiness bro it's funny isn't it because you know if you doing the survey in Edinburgh on a cold morning or a cult day which can happen quite often you know people of maybe that you know you want to weather that would skew it but also I think Boyton when you when you report and you get the feeling of being on holiday is a nice day you're at the beach you've got the sun so of course I can sway people in and funny enough it does say that that 40 percent did claim that the weather is what has the negative emotion when it when they're talking about being really more depressed or enough gives another story that was from the Express I think was Yes that's right yeah this is from the Express as well I think yeah this is an interesting story so there is a headmaster in college or in a court of secondary school where they've got people's aged 11 to 18 girls and boys and they've made a radical decision to have their toilets as gender neutral. Which means of course the boys and girls are all using the same twits So how they feel about that well I'm. 11000 you're at that funny age again through puberty I mean you probably just discovering yourself I would think a lot of them probably would prefer to have separate orders the thing is I've got 4 sisters and I know that from them the ladies still talk to each other in the you know women in the toys all chat to each other. Which is a concept that as a bloke I can't absolutely understand whatsoever. It's a bit weird I know that but it's the moment that's the moment for the girls to catch up and actually have a little bit of a gossip of what's going on outside the toilets to talk about the blow Yes exactly exactly but they clearly have this is this is something that's not happening actually says that. The girls in the boys don't like this so they've actually just decided amongst themselves one section of the toilets are for the boys and one session for the girls So really yes democracy in action thing is a dad of 3 and of course 11 or 13 and a 16 year old I can actually say I pity the girls of following them in because sometimes it's like you know boys aren't the tiniest let's be realistic about it yes or maybe the most high unique with their nice to smell and yes there are enough to remove. One more so in this form Yeah so I was looking at the Daily Mail and there's an article here about how our love of lists of writing lists is actually what's keeping handwriting being a life so actually a study a poll carried out on 2000 adults and it revealed that the main reason 23 percent said that they use a pen to paper to write a list and I would agree with that a tablet for all sorts of stuff but I'm trying to do to do lists on the town and it just doesn't work for me I just. Hope is that I really yeah use my find for everything including waiting lists for and so do you have lists of lists because it's like I've got stuff to be done in the garbage garage list that you know yeah round the house list. Yeah. And the great thing about the phone is its. Commitments of when you. Have some. With you b.b.c. Sorry my sunshine here at the moment. Only sent me up so. That we got the we wanted. A Saturday morning sir. Fire him with your clues right we got soul to soul Madonna Gloria Estefan is at narrowing it down for you slightly very much very good we got questions about the year like I'd like you to name the 2 hosts of the Britta wards from this year. Say didn't go so well I know I know when I can name them yet variate you could name them but does that help you towards the year though because what year was that on what am I allowed to guess you can guess what to tell yes or no am I I reckon that's got to be late eighty's when I'm going to go. A 9 maybe but you can't say yes or no you'll find out in an hour's time when we reveal the correct year so have a guess at Ari one enjoy the 6 songs and I guess they to include the French requests who won America's Got Talent in 2015 poles the British guy won America's Got Talent and he's out on a tour and it's coming to Epsom later this month then find them all tings and Captain Horsham in October that's Paul's heard him and Craig Revel Horwood we'll do a little bit of strictly with him but the main thing is that he will be taking on the role of Miss Hannigan in Annie at the Piccadilly Theatre in London from Monday so it's a limited 10 week run so he's doing that in the weekdays and then he is doing strictly on a Saturday night so he is going to be busy and tired and when he's tired he's probably crabby which to me even better. Pulls or that he's hilarious Yeah he's got some great characters as a grumpy old man and there's a cheeky little boy in all this kind of stuff always works well or does that ventriloquism on the radio Yeah but I mean when you see him live though he is great because you know you can do in the voice is one thing going to have some good material as well haven't you know is that he does that whole thing yes he puts them in the box and he's talking them when they're actually in the bag or the box that's all clever stuff so he's on later looking forward to oh I get back in a box now here just over half an hour it's $830.00. In the. Saturday morning 16th of September the b.b.c. News here is my box them good morning armed police and military personnel are being deployed at key science in Britain following the raising of the terror threat to critical It means that after yesterday's bombing of a crowded she would train the government buildings to further attack may be imminent 29 people were injured in the blast at past and screen station. Amount from Gholson who groomed children online has been jailed for 3 years go for Crown Court heard how a 64 year old Simon Landsberg arranged to meet a 14 year old boy on a 16 year old girl on their way home from school when King is to be one of 5 areas where voters will be required to show id for the 1st time as an election it's part of a trial which could be extended across the country and a bid to tackle food sing forward Tundras District Council has joined others such as spell thorn and investing in commercial properties to rent out for profit tundra just page 3 and a quarter 1000000 pounds for a commercial property in Maine stone which he says would generate around a quarter of a 1000000 pounds annually in rent and Boris Johnson has revived the controversial claim that Bronx it was saved the u.k. 350000000 pounds a week much which he says could be spent on the n.h.s. He's also used a lengthy newspaper article which is saying the person will have a glorious future outside of the e.u. B.b.c. Sorry news there's more in half an hour. Mike thank you the b.b.c. Weather Center our destination historic I want to address that this morning across 3. Days and I was down. To It has been a rather chilly start to the week and I think we'll do that again tomorrow morning at the moment that we've got some lovely lovely sunshine but there are some showers started to drift their way slowly towards us I think will be dry for the next few hours but through the afternoon running the risk of some showers coming in and they will be heavy with some hail and some thunder mixed in the temperatures after that cool start with the showers don't do brilliantly 14 or 15 degrees is our top temperature this afternoon but actually feeling cooler than that when the showers come through they will knock off a couple of degrees temporarily now they could have the hail and some thunder mixed in but I think most of the afternoon is on the dry side rather than a showery side but the risk of them continues until this evening they start to. I way they through the evening were dry overnight another cool night with temperatures well into single figures tomorrow we start dry and that I think a good deal of dry weather for you tomorrow again couldn't rule out a shower in the afternoon but predominantly I think we will keep largely dry save for a few afternoon showers few showers around even on Monday and then from that point onwards Tuesday looks much more settled and the change in wind direction means the south westerly will start to feel a little bit milder as well temperatures as we move through the week back to the high teens so 18 maybe 19 degrees by the time we get to Thursday and a lot more settled there's more on the website of course b.b.c. That credit u.k. Sorry. To see Sorry try. To take this b. Sense is a slow stretch which is catching my attention is actually May 1st just outside working this is smarts he. Actually made for itself I'm kind of wondering if there's something causing that I'm not sure where temperatures like there might be something of course not that's quite unusual for this time of the sun Saturday morning but a 3 to a 3 to 5 and the motorways absolutely fine at the moment and certainly no worries for your train journey just be checking those large park just bought for you I'm. Sorry travel. Call with your travel day out free 70 for the 11006 season d.c. Sorry. B.b.c. Sorry force update is turn lease Thanks James good morning in county cricket it's congratulations to Essex who've won the championship title for the 1st time in 25 years as was sorry they moved above Hampshire and into 3rd place in Division one but still need a few points from their remaining 2 games to ensure that they stay up your ship batted out the final day to 2 a high scoring match at The Oval and sorry head coach Michael devalued said it was always going to be a difficult game to win but we play well we pushed hard but you know it wasn't Yorks you've got plenty to play for as we have as well so you not just get a knock Saud's over like all the players getting stuck in and not giving us a chance as I said before we threw everything at him but it wasn't about only 59 overs were possible on the 1st 3 days at Oxbridge so naturally hunches match against Middlesex there and it was a draw sorry opening batsman Jason Roy and his pace bowling teammate Tom Curran both in the England squad for tonight's one off t 20 international against the West Indies at the least Street as is the Hampshire slow left arm spinner Liam Dawson Crawley Town welcome high flying Notts County in League 2 The visitors won 5 of their 7 matches so far while Harry cured side have won only twice we will take every game as if it's if it's a Cup final we know Notts County of their play good football they've got a good old professional that's their young young manager like myself so again I think you're going to see you can see some football. Woking welcome the National League leaders Sutton united in a cracking local Darby the cards are targeting a 5th win in 6 home matches on Tuesday it was struggling solid whole morals but defender Josh Staunton says today will be a stern a prospect Yes course it's going to be a different test they're going to be quite physical like they that they always tend to be and we know what to expect and we've got to match him and hopefully by our style of football and dictate their game because like I say they're obviously Barzan among those they have a lot of fans down air so hopefully we can keep them quiet and get ahead in the game. All shot town have made the long trip to Gateshead all 3 games will feature in Joe Torre but it's afternoon show from 2 o'clock the shots on the cards are also live online 5 local teams are looking to progress in the 2nd qualifying round of the f.a. Cup but all 5 are away from home they are not pill chips state Hartley went to knee Dorking Wanderers and Leatherhead Daniel Ricardo was quickest in practice for tomorrow's Singapore Grand Prix with Lewis Hamilton 3rd and Sebastian Vettel only the 7th fastest 3rd practice is of 11 the Smalling and qualifying act in rugby union Asia are at home to Roslin park and the world's oldest classic horse race the some major is off at Doncaster at 335 b.b.c. Sorry sport Hi I'm John Lee. B.b.c. Sorry Well we we James and. veterans free university places so I'm Dilip Dems have said that in their plans forces heroes who have served for 12 years or more should be given free university places to help with their the unemployment rates of veterans when they when they finish serving and also nice transition sort of into city street and I suppose we train them anyway yeah I seem so and and they're saying that the u.s. Already has this policy so it's something that we should in the u.k. Be putting in place and actually probably paying a bit more of a not the service that people have given absolutely I think if we can do anything to help our veterans we should and if this helps bring down the unemployment rates for returns then is something we should absolutely be considering when Also it's interesting that you know you got into writing your book as opposed to. Depression yes and an awful lot of soldiers suffer with p.t.s.d. And all that stuff and yeah yeah absolutely this if this can help them. Almost a similar thing this gives them a bit of stimulation and gives them the skills to actually get back into the workforce and have a I guess a normal regular life as much as possible and this segues into something else yes I found another article so this was a round how nowadays you can go off to university and do courses such as American studies or Celtic studies or you know and where do these you know where we do these university degrees actually lead to yes you would be actually considering employers hiring people of the undergraduate age so usually $18.00 to $21.00 and actually paying for them to to get up skilled so similar to apprenticeships but I'm I guess talking a high age range now I know that you are another hat because in your corporate world you work in h.r. And it's fascinating how the world is changing you know there would seem to be an awful lot more of apprenticeships we hear about that the whole time but apprentices into jobs were also into doing degree courses as well yeah indeed so from coming from a hip hop's bit of a mean back in the day you would have those that would go into higher education and go and get obtain a degree and then join the workforce and you'd have those that would leave school and doing the work force and the rage but now you do have this kind of clogged gap in the middle I guess which is looking at Prince ship schemes which give you both equivocations on the experience so from an h l thing you know somebody who's 23 sitting in front of you who's got a degree that's come from uni or somebody who's got a degree who's come from the workforce I suppose there is both of you know different attractions there Yeah absolutely and you know as an employer we would see it definitely experiences favored quite highly So yes the degree says you've got a set amount of intelligence but I mean it comes down to experience is it. Well call it a there what are you up to for the rest say that a little lad to look at. Yes Yes I got my minus one to look after taking him swimming some friends later when he joined a nice meeting you say Yes thank you very much what do we search for online on Amazon if you want have a look at it so you're looking at Kaya and k.y. And there is Was was was was. Was was. Was was was was . Was was was was. Was. Was. Was. Was. Was. Was. Was was was was . Pretty sorry Saturday morning. 6 minutes to 9 o'clock. I have. A cold. Club well with the only thing is the reef is in a bit of a sorry state what are we talking about well let's find out Luke Preston is standing by morning Luke morning how are you really could we're talking about Kambli chewed out here only Yes Come now look I've seen the video it's like the worst village hole you've ever been to in that. Yeah in some ways I mean what we're actually. Trying to fix is the accommodation block for our elite athletes directly next door to the dojo so it's where Olympians and come up came champions actually live next door so that's what we're trying to fix so that they can keep their elite training that it's a 1000000 right so how much money you trying to raise a 1000000 iterated where we did a crowdfunding campaign and we're hoping to get 10 times in which would be a big bulk of what we need it and we actually surpassed believe we are really really touched by the donations we've got just under 12 tries and so we need to get within the region of $16.00 to $18.00 times and to fix the roof so I think we can do that who keep pushing hard right now. So what's the next sort of slaves then well we've got this this afternoon we've got a fund raising judo event the club so that's 1 pm this afternoon and then in the 1st in a couple weeks some of October the 6 we've got an actual team match against Belgium which is a fundraising event and we sell in tables and tickets for that and hopefully that will be the final push that we need to get to get the money and I can really pretty well wear passes that. Were just up on the old day in Camberley next door to the boxing club and we've been there for over 30 years now. And so whether you love it live. Well I was an international myself so I compete for Great Britain for a lot of years now actually trying at the club for 8 years when I was a full time judo classic g.p. And then eventually I've ended up coaching that longer than I've been a player so I think coaching after 12 years I've been part of the club for 20 years now. People to come along the softer they give us the times again yes so it's 1 pm this afternoon for the cheater session anybody that no matter if you're going on the mat for a while everybody's welcome and then also October the so. 7 pm we got our fundraising team. All the information is on our website so just go to our website and you can see see all the things that we've got.
