The domestic violence after being helped out though the residential Northern College in bonds Leigh she's got an apprenticeship and she's looking to go to university been able to thoughts people inspired just one woman or one man just to step out and get into education it's what I want to do I want to go out there until after it is hard and every day's about how it is about just to get dressed today well it's not that you know I think fakes Well I've got that willpower now and that motivation and it's from northern that still if you're a Bond film fan Well the new trailer is out even though the film is not out until April the 8th there was a special showing in London last night it's called No Time to die Mark O'Connell is a writer and a bonfire just a tease as a fully fledged trailer with a lot of story a lot of characters all just a lot as you astronauts in the real contemporary villain that's involved with new technology plus we've sort of ancient Italy a lot so there's old locations we expect from Europe involved films that are shown the lynchers a great new British actress is rising up the ranks is looking amazing in the fatigues and the gun loving Yes she's going to give credit a little bit of a run for his money I'm sure. Let's take a look at the sport Sheffield Wednesday have told the Football League that they believe misconduct charges against them are unlawful and they're prepared to seek compensation this is all revolving around the sale of Hillsborough Sheffield United they play tonight at bromelain against Newcastle United in the Premier League the targeting 6 place with a win in the a.f.l. Trophy 2nd round last night don't just arrive it's been 3 nil by less to City's Under 20 one's b.b.c. Radio Sheffield at 6 minutes past 8. Where the now from Nicola Donnelly good morning a rather chilly breezy and cloudy start to the day on the whole and then as the money develops we'll see the winds pick up in speed the cloud will continue to build and then into the afternoon we will see some rain at times but feeling much milder than of late. With the high of 10 degrees at 15 farm height then tonight the wet windy weather to come overnight and then into more of us again a mild ninety's on the college the minimum temperature $7.00 to $10.00 degrees 50 in finite weather online at the b.b.c. Don't condone cheek a flush Sheffield. B.b.c. Radio Shack fields Good morning to we are you doing morning so for a while until they call me about a briefing with the boss after just going to some of it was if I were your mother. Found it to be fair enough I'd break so. Why have you just been to my Christmas card counter attack I would gobble. I just wanted to look at the cute dog in front that yes I you know if. I'm gain or loss and lots of 5 miles now you know you've got for Christmas go to mow the grass grow even cut one Christmas card twice give you both We've lost it and then the person sent another one and we found the last 2 cards Good morning everybody so we have breakfast is b.b.c. Radio chef you know we talk about the fun it's got a picture of a dog on it which I believe is Toby foster the dog inside it says to take the foster Nicholson. And down Merry Christmas something from Lord to tell you the Foster and his mum and this one when I saw they said if you just said yourself and then I remembered there's a dog call to be faster yeah if that's what you tell me I don't speak I just. Don't speak like that well he's your Lord Toby Foster of where is it G.'s bodies bottom but that I think is the talk from Whiston I'm bottom vaastu to the bottom of the years in which to get. Down we're going to be talking all sorts of local music we're going to talk about the ones that got away these fantastic bounds of the eighty's and ninety's you could be massive and just were I remember some great bands and I'm sure on that cd. There's been some fab stuff which button do you remember seeing as not these are going to be massive and then. They just weren't. Little man should have been over there with them and say we're great. My daughter still loves the bloke 10 years ago they were fantastic John when all the lads and I used to get them in here and they were going to be Arctic Monkeys bigger than me Yeah well when I started here we did so much with them I think you even had the men talking when they split Oh yeah and they were going and they just didn't quite do it if they bothered the charts and they sold some C.D.'s but. I tried to put them back together for a music festival it just wasn't happening might just be just don't do it. You know with just moved on what they do now. John still plain and I think. Somebody is teaching music somewhere so. Let's try and find them all today on the phone and all the members of little man say what's he doing now. That we're going to find out a bit more about Guernsey as they've tried to steal our singing plumber I know this week on a quite thick show that we approach battling to himself. So the singing Plumber is a plumber who sings think you can really just really set on people's minds just like you know just a good one and this is confusing me what does the singing plumber do. Things funny about plumbing but he's 2 timing is and he didn't seek permission from a snow he's been he's been he's been playing listed now on b.b.c. Radio Guernsey is a very naughty. What we know about. Domo Polter from that was from the matter of course and that goes for both of them there Sarah Montague radio Radio's. Will Smith the American one the author and comedian and think of it did you want to because they and well no it's in Jersey but the same thing know. The same thing I said when from Leeds with the same thing same thing. Are you called if you're from Kenzi Bob Bob just think that if you're from Sheffield if you're from other and you were. Very many and if you can see. Absolutely. We've got a Go Go story for you here was the motion of the paper Christmas tree Nick I've no idea I don't have 20 quid but well I don't know we paid a 1000000 I don't know 97 pound of Tennessee. Fake snow and beautiful fake. Real stone it cannot be water what. No I'm just thinking of a real tree I think we paid 25 quid for well I'm going to speak to an egg now who has just created 112000000 pounds what yes what 12000000 pounds pounds 3 designed specifically for problems right now pounds. Designed for a hotel in Marbella which is where we find Debbie Debbie originally from Xmas Debbie good morning. And well thank you to tell us what's on the street that makes it so expensive. So this train is not really not actually a tree couldn't be worse the type of money even if it was extremely beautiful and believe me this tree is extremely beautiful but ensure it's adorned with many many ornaments. And they're made using traditional techniques some handmade instruments from wood from Up until things that are very modern and 3 d. Printer obviously will add the value in the diamond to adorn some of those or the moments so that's what puts the price on. Where these are. Just like in the middle of radio in the us we're not you know. You know what the typical you know I'm a wanted woman right now I'm a b.b.c. Sheffield girl that I'm some extra regionally so I apologize What did you just ask where are these 3 tiers of and why you've done it. Yes of course the tree is in the can Pinsky Hotel which is on the on the verge of mark by a stroke as diplomacy so it's it's in Spain which is an unusual place for I suppose people don't really necessarily think sunny Spain when they think of Christmas I think of a snowy climate but the reason I went for that location. Was I just felt that the design of the trade like the ornaments are there are a mixture of traditional and contemporary but they are sort of a very sort of unique style and I thought that it's a little bit contradictory so it sort of suited the Mediterranean climate and obviously it's a 5 star hotel so it makes sense to put something look serious but. I'm just thinking if it's a move nearby what's to stop them grabbing a few baubles few times are on us without. A very good question but the actual the the main super super duper expensive only minutes are actually only on there a key times for specific events because obviously we can't just leave that kind of time in laying around and you know what was quite interesting about me is I do have a bit of an accolade for creating what was most expensive as an affiliation with diamond but actually I'm just I'm expert last you know. And actually the diamonds alone so unfortunately I'm seen as a headline but I have no more fabulous things than the other average hardworking 30 something year old almost 40 but we won't talk about that also with 30 something something like 30 something sounds absolutely fantastic There are 30 of them but. What would you do next once you've made a 12000000 pound Christmas tree what do you do next. Well actually a lot of the ornaments are going to be given for charité obviously a lot of the key pieces that have huge amounts of diamonds on them they're not my diamonds to give away so it's not something I can do but there's a lot of Specifically home crafted pieces that are going to be given to various charities some local ones actually a lot of people have obviously suffered from floods up in South Yorkshire recently . And that will you know there's a few that I'm going to be donating to they're going to be doing prize draw and raffles and all sorts which is going to benefit a lot of the schools that got flooded and kids plunked Here There and Everywhere which is still wonder focus all the community rallies around just like Yorkshire always does we always manage to look after everybody but that's one of them another thing is for not very nice or festive that thing cost but people trafficking and it only helps people get back into education and rehabilitation and get their life back on track. The others yes this is from good is good thank you very much. And. She was made a parachute with 14 and a half 1000000 pounds. Good on you thank you. Kid moon in heading to was downcast to take chaffy backing up on the. Road we got to eat in full on the 18th. Looking particularly slow and heading away from the I'm 18 area and am 18 on the south. Towards the m one nothing holding your traffic coming off a promenade we got to cues from north on stand up towards the m one there gentian $31.00 as delays also from small honest area up towards motorway so into a Sheffield today it's backing up on the 61 from what city bridge it's also looking particularly slow from Katherine if as you approaching on the Sheffield parkway that way. Coping Ok just to be busy approaching 3 stately theater roadworks any updates the number that you need out of 145-6212 back in 15 minutes instead of feeling young cast rather I'm just a freelance Bhansali this these b.b.c. Radio show feels right I've got something to do I've been. Asked to do something rarely do we do this but I'm doing it morning till we please could you say Merry Christmas to Cameron coral Peter and James at 815 when I'm doing the school run it will make their day thank you from their dad. Well you know again a look at this photo of you good morning nice to be a breakfast is b.b.c. Radio Sheffield you want to get into today you can under 20. 14949 something right that is Texas today was the people in Guernsey a call donkeys. But thank you very much indeed now we've been hearing about transport a lot of late and one thing that stands out is how little the north gets out of population compared to London. At the same time we're constantly being told we're going to change the way that we get around with h s 2 is hugely controversial and costing billions in hearing sound Yorkshire trials running in which people are given a free pass to encourage more to get some public transport Ridge Acadia been out this morning on the morning commute to make department one of those who was selected so it circumvents help us 7 it's a very cold winter's morning put it it's quite a nice place to be standing at a bus stop and I'm with James who's been taking the bus recently James how would you normally be getting to work before this free trial had to be a few ways really like some time in Watford to drop me in the car but you need to work and drive it myself. From time to time I've been called before so what's the best thing of travelling on the bus so for us the worst thing probably the best thing is it's just you know you don't have to worry about traffic you know you put yourself on the bus and you can even do it at work sometimes as well you know the worst thing is probably you know that I tired way it's really busy and channel and sort of hours to do with the road works what time is it and we like you know. We are number 20 just coming over the brow of the hill now. But we're standing room only this morning James so when this free pass runs out what incentive do you think it would take to make you continue taking the bus have a look to the prices of the tickets Richard and just as you think the slightly older more. You know I've had to pay to use public transport I think it's 20 pounds for the week so you know probably at 60 or 70 pounds for the moment. Think a discount on that. Encourage me a bit more all right so you need a little bit more but it's to continue to take in this particular option to work yeah I think so yeah you know this is our stock just. Like you very much brought up . So overall he was quite happy with his commute to work it just a little bit expensive he thought transport is a big election issue behind the n.h.s. Nick. Joins us to shed some light on the main parties to say good morning so. Public transport spending is what they spend in London Yeah but we've heard that time and time again haven't we it doesn't come as any surprise but yes those figures came out yesterday didn't they that per head in London $903.00 pounds spent in the last year. Compared to generally in the north $376.00 pounds per head but actually here is South Yorkshire and in the East Midlands we fare even worse than that the East Midlands the lowest spend 268 pounds slightly higher $276.00 here in South Yorkshire so yeah comparatively per head we don't get as much money spent on public transport but then again where the money might lose where the money is made in London where you get I guess you could say you get more bang for your book because more people benefit from the spend because there are so many more people there and that's always been the argument that that investment kind of goes further down there because you've got this high concentration of of people and I think you would need much more investment here to get the same level of service of course. The days that you know when we start talking about devolution or getting jobs I mean he's talking about actually moving infrastructure. Around to the north where that's happened we have to have a real change of how we look at public transport I think it would have been the talk wasn't there when the Houses of Parliament are being redeveloped on they are not because the place is falling down and there was talk about moving it somewhere else north to use that opportunity and move. Of a governing body if you like to a different part of the country with the rebuilding in more leads or even Sheffield who knows but they've decided not to do that but yeah I think that kind of perspective. That changing that kind of does change people's perspective all of a sudden you call decision makers having to be in other parts of the cooking and they want to be able to get there pretty easily so what about the everybody seems to be hammering the car. Apart from the public probably like us yeah well particularly if you're outside London if you're in London perhaps a few people you will certainly few people use cars but outside of London yes I use my car not use your car a lot but it does it is coming under fire there's no doubt about life and transport in general actually has been pushed right at the political agenda I think much more so than we've seen in previous election campaigns I think that's largely also to do with Well I think that the North South divide when it comes to infrastructure spending has come to play here but I also think that the climate change agenda has meant that investment in in our public services and public transport has also been risen up the agenda for our political parties but yes the car is coming under fire particularly those with combustion engines so if you drive an electric car that worry about it in fact everyone's promising that you'll have more charging points within various distances and promising spending on infrastructure in that in that regard the only part that doesn't do that I believe is the BRICs it Party which doesn't actually say much about trials and transport them honest but we've got the conservatives saying that they want to end the sale of new combustion engine vehicles by 2040 but Labor the Lib Dems on the Green Party are all saying that they want to see the end of that by 2030 bring in. 10 years' time we won't be able to buy diesel car that's what they're saying new new diesel cars you know obviously there's a 2nd out market and all the rest of it but yeah when it comes. The production they want to see the end of the combustion engine say about 2030. 4 by fours the talk that's needed just nowhere near know and various parties of different schemes for trying to accelerate it obviously but it's not saying that they're going to be off the roads completely but it's to do with sales obviously Finally what are they saying about where the big money is just 2 or 3 parties want to keep it 2 parties going to scrap it the party they're going to scrap it the Green Party. They say that they're going to use that money then to open up new rail connections where possible a look at where they used to be rail connections that have since been closed down Bracks it Party is also against h s 2 that's where actually most of its money. For its transport policy which is pretty limited I have to say is coming from they say they're going to invest at least 50000000000 in their local road and rail schemes and that's going to come from the scrapping of h.s. To however the other 3 main parties the Lib Dems labor and conservatives are all sticking with it in fact Labor say they're going to complete the full 8 just to route all the way to Scotland. The Lib Dems also say they support to on the northern and powerhouse rail initiatives and they're going to try and deliver those as quickly as possible the Conservative Party. Is really pushing this area actually the moment. We had a Conservative minister come to Stockbridge yesterday and say that they were going to build the northern powerhouse rail 1st and then they're going to focus on on other I say that's between Leeds Manchester and folks on the railways are Liverpool hole and Sheffield and yesterday they were in stocks which saying there's going to be money for. Tram train or something similar going to Paul Sheffield like Stockbridge now and they said they're going to 4200000000 pounds for that how much of that is new money I'm not entirely sure because when I looked into the detail it seemed as though the way they were going to deliver that was by delivering the Sheffield city region devolution deal and handing it over. That's where that train initiative might come from so I think there was some question marks over those those promises they were that they were coming to Stockbridge to us yesterday and the pinch of salt just thank you very much. Political reporter. Yes. Yeah yeah exactly Well it's an interesting seat it was labor for a long time obviously last 2 years ago only really got into the conservatives. And . The Conservatives Won the local elections as well in May So this is a continuing swing towards the conservatives in the constituency but either labor putting in a lot of work and so they'll be keen to get a lot Well that's one of the spots and thank you Liz b.c.v.a. Canfield's with Toby for us to tell you the fellas down yes tomorrow morning. Live from. As we look at another one of these constituencies that could be one of the most marginal. Going to me 5050 actually away in Serbia. Boxing Chloe How did you get into it I suppose you could say I've always been a bit of a fighter and I've got to. So we were always fighting and it's a fair I was always be animal. So when they. Said. They got us a fight by Sr It's a bit abnormal and so he started taking them kickboxing and stuff and that wasn't any of us a n o. I started in the start of. The 2nd the walk and the Jam which is an adventure. Left and that is all the air around also interesting is that and who would have thought did you think that you'd end up in the g.b. Boxing potential podium elite stable here in Sheffield even though there is a finger elite aggressive Yeah just like the fight so I just went in there I like I got some enjoyment I was a bit in the be in the boys that really cause you go back and I somewhat come in there go oh my God look at that kill people point to me after I mean to say in our kind they're going out there with rum to move fights 75 kilograms is a middleweight from Cheshire 20 years old and recently joined the men's podium potential squad here at Team g.b. Podium squad What gave you all of the boxing How did you get started 1st started when I used to play football but I was a bit chubby and I wanted to get a bit so a few My friends were going down there for fitness so I went down and I just picked all started when I was $1213.00 but then I didn't have my 1st fight on Saul's like 15 so I gave on the percent I will my 1st fight and almost 2nd and then just I think I got to the fact of winning and then I want to. Boxing senior coach Les Paul only good morning. Let's talk about they said and how significant an event is it was a great of in its leverage McNulty is a great event and yet a great opportunity for Howard nation boxes to you know compete in this tournament and as you mentioned earlier on if you look historically the boxes that compete in East tournament you know they've gone and to do great things and he Joshua Luke Campbell nickel or Adams is a cigar opportunity for him and talked about Sheffield in the e.i.a.s. And what kind of box it is producing at the moment oh you know if you look at the medal hole that we've recently had at the European games men and women's world championships you know we're in a bit of a row at the moment you know because we've got a great thing and. Fantastic suppost of really brilliant value venue in the u.s. And you know it's great leadership so we're successful at the moment and things are moving along nicely as we approach the that the Olympic Games is a good program into the investment in boxing are fantastic answers to get this man we're so grateful to have you know Lottery funding backing from you know the sports councils tell us about when you see a box then you think he or she has really got it there's I mean I'm guessing it's not just a trade and 8 I'm guessing there's a lot of natural talent as to being a boxer Yeah you know and that's what this tournament is to annoy is an opportunity for support staff and coaches and the House seem to look at the the best prospects in the country and identify talent so you know it's going to be a good nights you know and. That's what this is a bear really unfolds about the sport of boxing because I'm starting a sprint produce an amazing talent there are still some big worry about it because people can get it yeah it's a contact sport and you know like all contact sports there is an element a risk but if you look at the top top 10 dangerous spots boxing's not in there so you know it's great for fitness fun. You know I've been involved in the game for of the 50 years and never been once it's a fantastic sport it's you know it's character building and saw many positives and plus from the sport actually if you want to go into weights I'm box I'm no good that's possible and I mean heck God can be oh yeah there's there's non-contact buckskin as to you know it's a good it's a good boxer is a fantastic sport you know as a said earlier is from the wonderful life in books in so you know personally it's been great to me and I've seen so many success stories you know through box in and from boxing Let's talk about Commonwealth Games talk about Olympics have you got somebody in the squad at the moment you think would be a medal in yeah you know we were fielding a really strong saw it in my opinion you know I've been fortunate very grateful to be in volved in the last 3 Olympics so I can. And this team is a strong strong so it's our you know we have strength in depth. So Yet we got some medal hopes fingers crossed I mean Paris as well so it's it's not like people got to go on planes and go miles away it's not like the got of fighting and that's that's the next one year obviously we've we've got the Tokyo and then for the Paris cycle you know it's going to be good you know because it's as you say it's not you know sort of time difference yeah. And just want to decide that wasn't for that matter. Of months it would still do. The music still gets played announcement. Oh a triple 4949 who for you were the ones that got away not just bands musicians. Singers comedians actors. If you will one of these but with Iran from. The North years ago was the moment so from Steve. I mean we played the music and it sounded good it certainly sounded as good as the other stuff that was around there's so much local music there is so much luck in music I be give you a good comedian you can make a living. There are enough clubs weeks ago but none of them not what you want 10 years ago but still Michael it. But if you're a good musician it doesn't necessarily follow. Me to the music. So maybe you were one of those bands who should have used and you know we should have made it we were better than them and we were better than them. They supporters tell us why didn't that happen.
