But not cruel summer it certainly is a cruel summer's day ahead at the New York stadium where the rain continues to fall down you know probably out it went way record breaking heat this week lovely sunny weather as well across the country not just locally as well but yes it's been tipping it down for a lot of so they yet rather give a good account of themselves they want to with less to say see no chances in the 2nd half we've got a stoppage because that lets the cities and them pass men is down in the middle of the Leicester City HOF right then. We brought you the the news the breaking news Ellie on today in Samoa sports of a new signing for the Sheffield Steelers Canadian born in Kazakhstan Martin Son P.S. 35 years old an H L experience with the Chicago Blackhawks Boston Bruins and also a son it says nearly 600 games in the over 240 games in the K H L A net Multi in some P.S.U. Has been telling reporter Peter Spencer that he's pleased to get the deal done religiously early in the summer but I had to end of August and September to sign a contract action that there's a lot of A. Interested I was interested in coming to Sheffield and didn't take too long to get a deal done in both parties are trying to get things going now you oversee new turn folks from 5 seasons ago when you played in the humans are grabbed how much of an important part was not in kind of this deal yet makes me feel home right away I mean I know a couple dozen teams I know Eric Johnson and put against him and he's actually from the area they're from Ottawa Canada but definitely airing you know it's a coverage covered thing and made things easy to have to negotiate and to you know to give ready advice on new things and I've never been to have only been to the London airport connecting during flight so it's a brand new country for me of all places I've been around the world it hasn't been the case so it is good to ask airing different details of the icing on the ice and every 6 ounce really positive for all and so I'm very excited and of course iron folks brought you to the chaotic Shall I guess a lot to be thankful for him in that sense as well you had a great career in the K. Child 240 odd games but in terms of iron and his style of play what do you remember from Obviously 5 seasons ago Yeah well he was a G.M. And Zagreb another truck but just as far as a G.M. He was very demanding from his coaching staff and from the players very hard nosed hard working you know we had a skilled team but he demanded every in that we you know worked hard and do our best out there so obviously he's a North American kind of coach coaching in Europe so he's got similar your tricks intent and all kinds in that I would know but you just very well respected guy makes his players want to play for him and it's him so you and your style of play how would you describe yourself I'm not the biggest guy on the ice not the fastest guy but I like to when you have the puck I like to slip play down to to my temple my vision my play making skills are what has gotten me into my 16th professional hockey year so I'm more of a playmaker obviously who doesn't like to score goals right but I think. I might vision of my thinking ahead of plays that's what my forte is and in terms of obviously your N.H.L. Career I mean you look at Chicago Boston all through what do you take from the kind of the experience of those games at the top level I'm with those teams as well and to see the rest of your career Yeah I mean when I played at those games in which I was in my early twenty's and I mean I still keep in touch with some of the guys I played in Chicago and Boston it doesn't matter if you're 20 years old or it's 35 years old like I am right now this is our current we wake up every day and we're excited to put the skates on and score some goals so I think it's just on a day to day basis you always want to get better and it doesn't matter I guess at how old you are where the teams that I've seen you want to succeed with the team but I've seen it starts with you personally and having the right attitude and then once everybody does that on the team then everything kind of snowballs for for the positives and hopefully we'll get lost or wins with that obviously have talked about the fact that you're an offensive minded kind of cost center but speaking to our IN FOCUS he seemed to suggest that the place where you really excel is kind of on the powerplay as well correct yeah that's my forte that's obviously everybody wants to be a good defensive player not to get scored on everybody wants to score goals and on 5 want 5 or 4 but definitely my play making skills on their i love being a quarterback on the powerplay and and making those last plays when I was making them stay for taking telling incest which you know hopefully King just a victory to through going about your international career over the last few years because obviously you've been kind of playing in Kazakstan and you've actually been playing internationally for them over the last few years is why when you've been over C.N.N. In astonishment Yeah I mean I've played 2 after years in a Stana had a couple step little distant and it's like it was stuck in ice in the kitchen island last year in Shanghai with glowing red star so I was very fortunate 2 years to get your passport and I paid 3 years ago in the world championship in the 2nd Division and we didn't win but. This past April was definitely great experience we actually hosted last fall and we finished 1st place so next year in 2020 which is in Switzerland we get to play it's all with the big group so it's definitely you know coming from North America. Guys get to experience playing in different countries on the world stage whether it's Group A B. Or C. And who has a great experience and they can bring that experience to kill. Sheffield studios or Sony malts in the sound but with that basis Prensa bringing a wealth of experience to the Sheffield Steelers and rock stuff but 35 years old good chance that rolls are here at the New York stadium so McDonald coming into having a good spell hit after a few moments ago done you'll eat a Sunday yet rather not to go keep a hold out for the fantastic so I call the bones on the left shoulder belt curling shot go with me this is the last this is the goalkeeper on loan here running to palm the ball away remains one hole but just fill still trying for one of the home to personnel being in that pre-season friendly to day and con you believe they say it's a 27th of July it's so much spalt unwatched against Bradford has been abandoned due to a wall to log page quite incredible that want to wake up whether having Let's get some O. Me using his they'll say so but call from. My son 3. 130 . 3. Mean 80. 8. Easy. Thanks. Leg. Leg. Leg. Length. Leg. Well same some black coffee here on summer sports on B.B.C. Radio Sheffield remains will be united one less to 61 here at the New York State and 3818 in attendance 811 who travelled from Leicester They also have a pre-season friendly at Stoke today were a lot of their 1st team is all the still a very strong team it has to be said here but new signings Tillmans and Perez and likes of honey Maguire all at Stoke. And I just had a goal this offer of sod the Millicent Dapo has come on as a sub Cook's turn ho in the wind but offsides like farside cricket now then and England have named the Ashes squad for next week's 1st Test against Australia edged Boston as a 1st test call up for fast bowlers offer after his will Cup winning team mate Ben Stokes is reappointed test vice captain England's all time leading wicket take it Jimmy Anderson is also included he was rested the on a much due to a cough injury Joe see the clip knowing only Tony best interest to a broad Rory. Some poor Joe Denly Jason Roy only stone Chris works well the B.B.C.'s children not even talking on B.B.C. Radio 5 Live today but how much of a risk how much of a gamble is including Archer they've got to be so careful it's a long series of 5 matches you don't mess around with sides trying to hear him talk about being having been in excruciating pain that's quite remarkable it's actually got a market in they didn't all go completely because I think that's the danger with Assad's drawing and anyone who's played cricket as both fast knows if you do that you're out for 6 weeks 2 months and it could be a whole series in his case so for me what would I do what do you want to see him bowling and so on but you've got to be really careful that as a 1st Test match and they've got Anderson coming back all being well they got woke see they got broad They got Stoke to go to great depth of fast bowling. I think I'd be tempted to wrap him up and see him later in the fall and you know when you know if you get through 5 days and the problem is if you if you you know if you do pass yourself and you think you're OK and you go into a game a 5 day Test match which is only for quick bowlers playing in the breakdown you're not doing anybody any favors I mean a very fit is a very natural athlete and I'll suspect as a person who does get over these injuries quite quickly but is it worth the gamble in the 1st test in the summer there are people saying yeah go and get him in there but there are there are 5 tests and there are other perfectly capable quick bowlers who could play instead as I suppose the other things we might be looking at this through a slightly different lines if all of England's other fast bowlers were were totally 100 percent fit but obviously we understand he's coming back from injury to. That's right and you are right if they're all fit I don't know who the pick are really don't I mean if you had Woody in there as well and bowling fast you know after what he did in his last Test match of course so they they are from apparently being in a very barren place with with quick bowling suddenly there's lots of only stone there as well who I enjoyed watching the other day he's got some pace too so suddenly there's a lot of riches there which is a good thing when you've got this real nonstop Test cricket coming up week after week they will need those resources and the Australians have done the same they've they've they've packed their side with quick bowling well so there is that strength of reserves and therefore not the necessity I mean Chris Woakes I guess to be the one who'd miss out of our didn't play we got 6 for us today it's his home ground bowl well in it so there isn't the pressure to play him that there might have been . Obviously absent from that the last Ashes series for well documented reasons it's not a surprise it's all that he's in the squad of course he's in the squads and but him being reappointed vice captain is certainly interesting yeah for me that's sort of the headline announcement out of all of this really I think it's really interesting and it's good for him you know he was in a bad place 2 years ago with all of that going on. And yes you're right he didn't go to Australia last time but there was given the vice captaincy and that's that's not a nice thing to happen if you have ice caps and you get it stripped from you you know you're back into the ranks Well I think it says everything about Stokes his commitment the way he's gone about things since Bristol his performances on the field it just I think is a really good reflection on all the things that we've heard about what he's been like in the dressing room and of course what we've seen outside the dressing room is a massive figure in the World Cup and I think he'll be really pleased about that you know he did he was facing something of a crisis a couple of years ago and he has he's come through that. And I think he would say he's come through it the better for it so to get that back is a really big feather in his cap I guess actually squads more than any other England squad are much more than just about the players there it's about the characters that it's about the personalities there it's about how they're going to react to a series of this type so when you just look at that lineup as a whole does it make you feel good for meeting the perspective. Yes I mean I do have my concerns clearly still about that top order but then you know what else is there you know people were picking their own teams yesterday and they virtually all had Joe Root number 3 which yes looks nice and you can perhaps put Roy Maybe down 4 which makes it better for him and you can tinker around but a waste of time because we're just going to bat it so you know you can only pick your teams around what the selectors can actually have to deal with and Ruth is not going to bat at 3 so those top 3 are worried I mean I really hope that Roy comes off that they really really exciting but he is going to have moments I think what he plays a short time ago sooner you get a one day shot for that's what he is but he can still write his game in a bit and I want to see him see him doing that burns look very twitchy and out of sorts the other day against Arlen he's going to really work on all that All-Star but as far as character goes I don't think they're going to have massive support I mean the game against Australia in the World Cup and edge past him is only really a foretaste of what's going to come in terms of the noise and just the sheer aggression against the Australians that they're going to experience and the Aussies are not going to enjoy walking at the edge Bastien one bit got Bancroft as well in there now as well as Smith and Warner all making their comebacks after their well publicised sandpaper business you know that the whole is standing of the roof going to come off and the Australians if they weren't ready for that they'll know what it's going to be like having just had a small taste of it in that World Cup semifinal Well let's finish with Australian energy you look at that England squad and think Australia will you know not just be intimidated by the atmosphere but be intimidated by the England team. I think Australia will back them selves they've got a very strong pace attack but their batting is in the same place as England's very reliant on Smith and Warner and that is well thinking and do have their their noses in front that's about all because even the middle order is is so effective Stokes and Butler and best oh that's that's the real powerhouse and that's what I think they do outgun Australia it's going to come down to each side's pace attack predominantly all the spinners could play Puzzle A bit later on and how how these other batsmen fare and whether it's it is or 3 out all out that that we could see some some quite busy days I think with wickets falling against these good fast bowlers and batsmen whose techniques really aren't quite up to test standard and that's that they didn't make it very interesting a bit frustrating I like to see a real quality batting in that you know sometimes some it's a really attritional Test cricket because that's that's often what it takes but I'm not sure we'll see much of that in this Ashes series. JONATHAN AGNEW there with Steve Crossman on 5 Live previewing the ashes really looking forward to that and I hope the weather will improve once again to be a bit more light last week than today because the re once again hammering down here they get New York State in summer sports on the radio whether it's summer sporting practice Well it's absolutely hammered it down and it's wet but it's well another me not to give me a good account of themselves in a raft of changes made by Paul Warne 1st of all whiles Procter and Lindsay came off a crook's Paul Auster and Smith and then just a few moments ago was on price on 4 Matic and even Chesterfield of pulled it all back on the practice now just chill to Burton Albion for in the pre season friendly Ansen expiring with you the goal for the spy writes early on as Tamara gray looks to strike gold over the top of the ball rather than some a sport B.B.C. At. Sheffield Let's get. Let's make. An album and she. Is the. Changed. I can travel with. You to an accident 30 expect delays as a result of the ice and it will very slow due to temper traffic lights around while the road that's where the ice meets up with the ice. That's fairly heavy at the moment and you'll find some delays. On homeland Bradfield right now not everything quite nicely no major headaches. All fairly healthy as well on public transport disruption even. Between Hillsborough and middle between hills and many bridge old and to NJT way Anything else would appreciate. So much on B.B.C. Radio Sheffield there I was just going to go here all the time you know I said to Walnut last. 6 seconds. In it for us to sit around and think so goalkeeping Luis price kept his composure with a couple defenders debates and. Never called us from the scene. So someone music now let's get Bill with us is lovely done. Something. Right. If she. Comes. Since they. See. You. Coming we. Just want to. Come. To our. Food was great. Fun to. Come we've. Let. Bill Withers is on summer school it's a lovely day well it's the Songa certainly not the day we're having kit we're at the New York stadium plenty of preseason auction taking place today in the pouring rain in South Yorkshire so pretty mild though a week it's been. 30 plus temperatures as well overnight said to trailing him by 2 goals to one couple for enough for the foxes. A lovely goal for all the 38 minutes into the 1st officer call to Morris who subsequently yet been substituted so rather one less the city could sue if you miss the earlier games fishbones the one Sheffield United hold on customer service to full city to its currently Chesterfield puts an Albion for that one also by 3 o'clock stop right then have you called the sports economy yet it's not show where we focus on the wider sporting community showcase some of the up and coming talent in one of those His 18 year old Teddy string at the window with an M.M.A. Fights and that's mixed martial arts or trains out of the $53.00 degrees in Chesterfield and he's earned a shot at the U.K. Lightweight title in October everyone's just excited for I think we've been expecting it for a while. What goes into it so. As a team we're all ready for a moment training partners and stuff we're all ready for and is excited for us to kind of showcase my skills and then get that recognition for and get that championship to give him a name check then who's in team Stringer who's in team strength while. I train with a lot of great people my main coaches are James boiled Tom Somerset from 53 degrees Jim but I also come over to Sheffield to get some training in with somebody who's a big pressure fire here and all the guys down at Sheffield to fighters are also going to Notting 4th dimension it's a there's a big support system or much training partners and stuff so. Too many to name I think it sounds like there's actually quite the scene then for M.M.A. And and a growing want to couple of years ago we spoke to a couple of fighters who from the Doncaster area so that's obviously yeah around the corner from just a field Nottingham and an obviously Sheffield that is actually quite the city Yeah yeah it's definitely one of it's a fast growing sport for sure. It's definitely grow and. Everyone wants to work together in the area as well that's the great thing there's no egos in it so everyone wants to train with each other and try and build everyone together so we can all grown get better so it's ace so as if to ask a stupid question presumably when you are almost constantly training with professionals then yeah yeah. I like to train with professionals quite a lot personally I don't mind if I get my head kicked in or with it it's best for my development if I can come out from a session see where I need to improve from training with the best then that's only going to fire my skills so training with professionals is ace for me that's what you say when you sat in here in a nice warm air conditioned studio sometimes if you've been well well schooled yet do you think Goodness me what am I doing here. No I really don't because I love it that much there is there's definitely some training sessions some sparring sessions where you get punched in the face of a new thing that was pretty rubbish but you can it's all about attitude now you build on from that so if you get down in the dumps after a bad training session they happen you get you have a bad round but it's how you build yourself on it so I just do a smile on my face all times I love it so October's October well what's in the pipeline between now and then and. So I'm kind of in my life off camp period now just maintaining fitness building my strength and stuff and then about 8 weeks out will get into the training camp so that's when my diet starts and I start training twice a day. And we start preparing and get me to peak for October 5th. Yeah so what does that mean then specifically because you know you look in reasonable Nick now there's no beer belly hanging out here what will that 8 week period then mean so essentially sharpening my skills a lot of sparring to get my timing perfect and it's all about building your fitness to peak on that certain day so. We'll start off with lots of like long enjoyment stuff so build in building my. Own and then as we get closer to the fire it will be more explosive work so my conditioning sessions I'll be doing lots of sprints and stuff and then like the last week i'll just be tapering off making sure I've got no injuries and perfect for Fight Night so what is your fighting weight then so I weigh in at 70.3 kilos is light weight right and everybody including me who listen to this what does that mean in stone that. Well we're certainly the yellow that's very much work you know I don't know the answer so it's one of the it's one of the much lighter divisions than that yeah yeah it's quite like the vision I have to go on a pretty strict diet to get down there so part for all part of the fun so I suppose now might be the time to say when did the M.M.A. Bug grab you. I was about 15 when I 1st discovered M.M.A. And I was it was one of those things right compelled me I saw all the big guys in the U.F.C. Out there like Khana McGregor Ronda Rousey I just kind of thought I looked cool so I went down to search my local gym went down try to free session and here I am like 34 years are just tremendous Yeah and where you are and where you are a boxer or had done some other type of martial arts or something combat related prior to doing this when I was a kid I did a tiny bit of karate and stuff but it was only nothing that would actually prove my skills or fight it was more of just like a hobby as a kid and I was very on and off with that and and then I maybe go to the gym do some heavy bag stuff but I never had any previous skills in martial art before that 1st day in the gym at 50 do you think that's is that rare then would you say excellent of the fighters M.M.A. Fighters are spoken to as I mentioned before it's limited I suppose they all. We're pretty good at something one thing maybe boxing say for example and then they got into M.M.A. Yeah. I mean my 1st session was a grappling base session so it was Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which is the whole floor are so submissions and wrestling. So it's a fight if I had a strength that would be my avenue because that's where I prefer to train. It was only like a couple weeks after I start picking up striken and everything important altogether to become a mixed martial artist rather than just a boxer or a grappler so I have soon from that that 1st day the 1st grappling session do you then feel is it a case of you decide it's decided for you with you you know what this kid's pretty good you can get on the U.K. Circus Yeah. It's one of those things where it's just I was put into the gym really I started off with my 1st experiences of competition was in like grappling tournament so you go and you have multiple matches in a day in order to win like a gold medal or stuff and that's why I did from my 1st year and a half or so. And then I start to focus on them I'm a building up to making my debut which I made last October. So yeah it's one of those things where. You know when you're ready in the training because you start so you still start to grow and you start to put the hours in and it just it's hard to it's hard to dictate when you're ready but you kind of know. You're obviously in weight categories as well yeah but you know in age categories either because one of the guys you forty's well whether it was the time is 6 years older than you ready yes I was several years at least more experienced Yeah and with that training yeah yes so there's a for a lot of guys like with kids and stuff and it's a bit weird when I think about it like I'm an 18 year old kid in 30 year old 25 year old man but I think it all just depends as you've got advantages to everything they might have had more experience training the maybe the training I'm getting in 1st class and the work I'm putting in 2nd to none so I feel like you know I'm I've not had as much time training as them but the amount of training that I've had is better for she recalled than my records for in one now. 4 wins one loss do you feel as though. It's almost like feet under the table I can move on from here now or do you still to a certain extent feel like the new kid on the block to do grade on the new kid old block I mean if were if I when I when this bell in October I was going to say if by Thing when's the appropriate everybody speaks everybody speaks comfort I'll be disappointed if you didn't and when I when the bell in October that will be one year since my debut so within a year of had 6 fights. Won 5 last won. In a degree I will be the new kid on the block but I'm very comfortable in it now it's 2nd nature to me I'm very competitive I love the just competing That's my favorite part. Remember the name Teddy string from the wing go with big things we can hope for in the world of M.M.A. a Really good chance that from but she's a not so sports academy B.B.C. Radio if you were I don't think you were waved away but rather have got an equalizer here it's to all bad whiles with a free kick from the left Mike way back when with a head up off the posts and then money to prod the seconds Parco really good stuff from a heckler who subsequently has gone off with top Robertson coming on a team Hines and Jake Cooper Interestingly a couple of points the no plus the city to pitch in Vegas for Leicester who vote probably been a school to off the arena so not just a woman for the players but a warm up for the stewards as well so I suppose very useful for them and then a substitution hobby bonds formerly of Barnsley on loan he's come off on the brilliantly named Musk way is on for Leicester City to all here at the New York stadium at full time beckons that as at last it will fashion a chance it's killed and deflected for a corner but some music his Lady Gaga above romance and summer school my around the round on. Line down the round. Lady Gaga all padrone songs sold us school full time here at the New York stadium it's traditional though we know it's a to last a 62 a decent Leicester City side as well so are they yet 1st team still missing but they put a strong team out today tomorrow a great collection enough to win all. Bonds with the fruit 3 new signing James Justin was Morgan in there as well Christian fuk so good plays a comes a day to play a role but it was one all Hoffa time and I chose cooled off the left post before the sell such that Morris for the equalize a nice finish be to do to win this one on one second off plenty of substitutions on 7. In October rounded at Lewis price and come on for the very impressive Daniel Eavis and Leicester City Loney out rather than being goal he was he's probably take a mile to most of the road in place today in after round a price kept composed predict in the top corner but then with 9 minutes to go while set free kick from the left handed off the post by Michael who put the seconds but a to make the final score to all and I'm sure Paul Wald pretty happy with that what are you seeing today and I've got to admit some very promising scenes today from rather of United ahead of their league one company against a good side from Les to 60 but they've sent said they're also playing a game at Stoke today writes the pre-season auction I think we're still waiting for the full time whistle at the pro arts Chesterfield 2 person pool I was about to say just feel superior to 5 now Lucas Akins a scolding added Sam So looks like the spa is going to lose 5 so if the don't constitute tool against whole earliest the wages haven't done and more will hopefully get on before 6 o'clock and of course the 12 noon kick off bonds you want Sheffield United full looks at local boxing trying to live Rhodes has been speaking to Radio Sheffield this week about the dangers that still exist in the sports This comes after the sad death of the Russian boxer might seem that data shed after his last fight last weekend Rhodes has experienced this firsthand with the death of his fiance Scott's a west golf he knows how much response of. We'll take calls with a trader on promoter must understand what the people are going through close to him and stand his trainer as I was Scott's trainer. And you know over the next few months it's going to be devastated wifely happens is a train wreck gets left behind you know on in people's soon forget what happened apart from people close and the family and you know people in the gym the only criticism I've got. A few people say what I'm saying is trainable imma get more or less at a debate in the corner with him as to whether he's going to stop the fire and the fire was saying to him I'm OK Elk I want to carry on which a fighter is always going to say that in a corner I think as a trainer if you you know if you're watching a fire and you think you know your guy shouldn't be in there if you're your job as a trainer to get him out of there straight away and that's what but immigration of donation of a debate in the corner with me should a 1000000 mind a percent that's it. It's over and off and that's the only criticism of go but how far does that line go between trusting your guy as a trainer to give you an honest answer and yes the pressure on a fighter to get the fight don't know that fight or want to weigh in and actually being sensible have to go you know what I can continue Yeah well a fire will never say that you can see you see fires get in you know get in not not are still open to the referee you know more and more and you see fires on the stall and they'll even say yeah market you know no matter what is very rail see a fire quit on the stall of verbal he said to his chair I want out and that's where the trainer is the manager's job is that's where a good trainer a good manager will come in and say oh your opinion is in none of our concern and the manager on the train you're out of there I remember we had a guy box a local guy a box from Sheffield for Call of tile in one of your callers pulled him out of there and he didn't speak to me for about 2. But I was up here with why don't he was on up there a few weeks later he came to the gym and after it was his fire and you can done a little bit he said you know we agreed to disagree. But as a trainer My job is to look after the fire and in there and if it means me pulling Now earlier is barely the only. So how would a boxer particularly in such an entire 10 sport where there's a lot of matches and yeah how do you teach them and educate and say look for all of that for all of the braggin in the competition and all the show you need to be sensible here snow with don't mess about because it's not worth what might happen or what my own could happen and that again caused by the train and the guy was looking after he should as a good trainer you should know your personality you should know you know he should be in the gym long enough with the air to know what makes you tick you know and he says job as it's just the trainer in the corner to look after you you know he's got he's got he's got massive responsibility to look asked in the corner and we're not talking about a game Attila links here we're talking about a game where you can lose your life. And that's the only criticism I've got of a lot trainers there are some good trainers some bad trainers as well like any walk of life but you know your guys in a corner and you've decided early enough is enough and us you know it's not open for debate this is obviously a high profile fight there are lots of high profile fights what can boxing do that level and be filtering down through the levels where they're not necessarily under the spotlight and in front of the television cameras and all the medical staff and insurance papers etc have to be signed off to make sure that those that do enter the ring there is a higher percentage of people that just just leave safely Yeah well the thing is we all know boxing is dangerous you know the British boxing motor control and got probably one of the best medicals in the world you know you have you're M.R.I.'s and you're your everything you name it you obviously and that's to say if it's going to get there's going to be charges in boxing and that's it another argument with boxing is and I'm not against any other kind of boxing white collar box in any kind of boxing. All I'm all I'm Andrea is you know people are ruining it you know some people ruin it for financial gain. I just want to see more. People being involved in the game you've got to fight as welfare 1st on paramedics on and doctors on hand and it's a dangerous game and there's nothing you can get where you are our rapid or it's a dangerous game and it will happen again if you've been in circumstances by I would hope and presumably from the profile game where there aren't adequate facilities and precautions Yeah I've seen it many many times you know fights and shows were known all over the place and so many shows a very well run and they do a paramedic's they do of doctors on and they do some medical before but while a lot of people you've got to remember with guys who do these charity boxing events is you know you can train for 8 weeks in a huge box at the end of it which is all well and good if you game iced up against some news you know same caliber as yourself and it's a 5050 might be you know some of these fights that take place they're not 5050 much at all and there's no medical provisions on an that's And the thing that annoys me I understand people wanting to box it's in it's in and it's an addiction it's kind of like a drug I understand but these people in this town of boxing who should not be boxing boxing is a young man's sport and even for young men they still as we saw the weekend you know he still has fatalities so anybody who is over the age of. 50 years old 60 years or why would you want to box at that age it's just that it's just a NEGUS For your own ego you've got to remember if this is a tragedy they're going to leave things be I mean you know if you family that pieces as we've always Garth you know it's still not going away it's over a year ago and he's still not going away and so these people are boxing for whatever reason it's just. Absolutely I mean sharp on the stand why do want to do something so dangerous as boxing you mentioned Scott there is is there a latest with the investigation no phone call yesterday to leave 5 days Open in January from January 20th it was a call from Doncaster coroner's office. And that's not while Johnny was last another 6 months of being interviewed twice by Doncaster police so these are all things that people need to take in to consideration when things up and like this it's not just a case of walking away you know this is some real life on the line here and obviously you know if things are in place by the governing body whichever governing body may be you know eventually somebody has got to put their hands been saying you know I was responsible or my for this Oracle and. I've done everything I thought I could do. I hope everybody else is in the same position boxing is a dangerous dangerous game. Just special ladies and gentlemen thank you Radio Sheffield.
