On suspicion of preparing an act of terrorism they are currently being questioned by police fear in a truck reports the teenagers were arrested at their homes in the rural market town of North Arlington on Saturday a number of items were seized from the properties under currently being examined by detectives the Northeast counter-terrorism unit says the arrests a part of an ongoing police led inquiry since Saturday searches have been carried out as a number of properties in the room and be area of the town police have permission to question the 14 year olds until Wednesday in a statement to North Yorkshire Police say the wider community is not at risk and they are grateful for its patience and understanding the government's response to allegations of inappropriate behavior at Westminster is expected to be discussed by M.P.'s today the Prime Minister's proposing a new system for the LNG with claims of harassment in a letter to the common Speaker John Bercow to reason may said the Commons disciplinary regime needed reforming the labor m.p. Cat Smith claims she's been sexually harassed by a colleague once we got to the station he delved in for a case that was definitely not invited in and I pushed him away and basically ran away from him now I did report that and along with a young female colleagues who were active campaign for the Labor Party at that time the actor Kevin Spacey has apologised after he was accused of making sexual advances towards a 14 year old boy in the eighty's and sunny rap says the alleged incident happened at a party at the star's apartment in a statement Mr Spacey said he had no memory of the encounter but if true he offered a sincere apology or are said it's a world gone Purt says the actress also revealed he's gay does seem sort of almost a non sequitur doesn't it really and there's got been talk for a long time about Kevin Spacey sexuality describe himself as being in love with both men and women have had relationships with men and women it's kind of irrelevant in this day and age in the anybody particularly cares what somebody's sexuality especially you know in the world of entertainment it doesn't really matter so to tie the 2 together does. Sort of slightly seems strange a man's died after being hit by 2 cars in Sheffield on Saturday night the 33 year old was walking down ringing low road away from the city center when there was a collision with a saw of Chrysler Grand Voyager travelling in the same direction that vehicle stopped however Shortly afterwards the pedestrian then hit by a 2nd car a blue Jag that was travelling towards Sheffield the man taken to hospital but he died in the early hours of yesterday morning now watch out for the Lions in Sheffield city center this lunchtime we have a lion's whelp to stone Art Deco warms they're coming back to the City Hall do you remember the City Hall opened in 1932 Paul that they appeared on stage facing out into the audience and stayed there for 30 years they were removed in 1962 as part of a modernization scheme but the Lions are back now to being unveiled once more at the City Hall this lunchtime by the Lord and they're on to sport Louise Hamilton says he feels it's still surreal that he's world champion for a 4th time he finished 9th that the Mexican grown pretty yesterday whose title rival Sebastian Vettel could only manage 4th and the England cricket captain Joe Root says he's relishing leading the Test side in an Ashes series Down Under the England squad have now arrived in Australia ahead of the 1st test like gets under way next month b.b.c. Radio Sheffield 3 minutes past 12 I got right down because a Lewis Hamilton yesterday you know why did you get done well as Mrs you mean brother and I was asking him how it was in his day was and everything and he says one just getting ready to have that it would just chime in about everything I said Oh it's great news about Lewis Hamilton is that he went once because I'm going to watch on Channel 4 now and I've been saving it and not looking at the score so I ruined it for him and I got on you know you're good at ruining stuff for people how dare you to 5 day weather forecast on b.b.c. Temperatures 1213 degrees there when say this very will cloud chimley will be dry and it will cool down again twas the end of the week to 1050 found height as well where the online nuts b.b.c. . Sheffield. Castings the south. Pole Cyndi Lauper girls just want to have full b.b.c. Radio Sheffield I know a few boys are lots of fun as well actually so it's time now for. Yes a little bit of a final hopefully what we do in that sea of vinyl So what do you have in your collection Stephen Flintoff is an auctioneer and he's a vinyl record expert from Sheffield gallery and he's here with his retro shirts to talk about a vinyl Can I ask you 1st of all what is going through what people bring in that you need to get in a fortune for the moment what are you doing well with there's a real mix of all sorts that's actually passing through the auction house this sorts which tend to attract a lot of attention predominantly mid sixty's through to early seventy's and it's it's the people who are perhaps in the early seventy's now that were you know the mob in hippies or the not the modern in the sixty's or something like that those are the the records which were a constantly attracting interest and also. Well basically on mass it's the prologue the psychedelia the mod in it will sell and it will sell well I mean condition plays a huge part of its life yeah but there's a real mix of all sorts of mean we're selling eighty's where it's slow at the moment but it's picking up with the eighty's you know the latest 70 I mean point will always sell and things but if someone you know opens up a box and it's full of you know Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin everyone knows it's going to do well you know it's your eyes light up but that certainly does yeah yes there are many Anything in particular that sold really well maybe any any surprises Yeah recently we haven't there's the same sort of with the eighty's revenue off a lot of rock which has gone through as well you know I think you know the bands which really sort of archetypal of their era. Local interest obviously recently we've had to Def Leppard e.p. Is their very 1st e.p. It's not just the 1st single that they brought out. It's quite rare but randomly 2 different vendors broke the main one was signed with had a little special inlay in there made over 400 pounds this is an e.p. So it was yeah the right record with the right provenance and people will build diving for us we'll get into it you've got a question for Stephen Flintoff he's here for 20 minutes or so out of a 147000000 people 691-8133 to text start your message with Sheffield we got some headphones upon us because David in Sheffield is keyed All right here this afternoon how are you doing David All right thank you what have you got to tell us and what you'll tell us about what. A queen. Now is stored away I know it is but it's never been played at Queen's Grace He says Queen Laurie Right right. And it's never been played Why not play at it David Well she didn't want. To remain but you're going to be I don't know. I'm not going to that one day you know let's leave Queen hugely popular and we've got an awful lot coming through when you start going into the greatest hits and best of not the biggest of sellers in there people are always after the original you know the original albums original singles they really still because they weren't as popular you know when the very 1st came out and the really early seventy's. Will command a higher price you know let you know soon as soon as you become global everyone's buying you're in there for the relative value goes down due to some box sets of albums. Basically you know it's almost like the the 1st dozen albums or not that came in a box at some signed by the band which obviously commands a premium. So some of the box sets can attract interest as the greatest hits so it's going to be worth a few pounds unfortunately so condition you know many if you put it out there because it's never been played Yeah you know it's you know some doubt they'll probably want it but it's only going to be you know if it was not right if you live . It. Right yeah right yeah but even so it's yeah it's going to be worth I mean there are going to be a lot of collectors out there I presume a lot of them probably will have that particular record I mean I can't just bring it to you know just think about what the exact front cover looks like on that particular one but we do get an awful lot in there and you know you need to mix it with some of the bits and pieces but if you sold it it's going to be worth nothing it's probably going to be less than 10 pounds but in great condition you might get 1015 for it you know to a good king collector you know holding onto it for now yes and whatever you do don't play they. Don't. Know what amount to happen. Today thank you very much for joining us on the radio chef to Stephen Flynn selves with us is an auctioneer a vinyl record experts he's here to talk to as he wants it only questions about any vinyl that you so got about the person you talked about Queen there what Freddie Mercury then yeah I mean any sort of offshoot I mean you will get you completists you will get people to be like the Beatles where you know all the solo works come in. They're going to be a huge amount of people who are collecting Freddie Mercury has well as you know Brian May and all the people that did their solo album years. Again it's limited editions it's very you know there's a growing demand certainly you know moment for colored vinyl and certainly since the late seventy's when you start becoming a lot more populist certainly through the punk movement and you know they wanted to put you know splashes of cool on here if you can get sort of rarities with you know with Freddie Mercury you know limited editions as well you know that's that's the thing to really go for the generic albums that you probably just bought in the shop you know again it's just going to be going to be a few pounds b.b.c. Radio Sheffield loadable 14279 double 6 to talk to Stephen Flintoff he is a vinyl record experts to get in touch if you've got any questions anything like you know if you've got a piece of and if you've got an album that call it or anything unusual get in touch and that might be worth a little bit actually. Derek and the John Wayne are. They say yes they're going to Radio Sheffield you listen to Paul and Ted with me talking about vinyl with Stephen Flintoff who's our expert this afternoon get in touch if you've got any that you'd like to talk about numbers 021479 double 6 double 9 techs numbers 81323 message needs to start with Sheffield I've got a message here from Dave in Greenwich side stave and he says that he's got one of the final gold vinyl complete with a t. Shirt etc He says the maybe other bits and pieces and it's not worth anything yet the same for vinyl is always of interest I mean that like so there's a growing demand certainly for that we're finding through auction when you can sort of put with that ephemera as well and try and build up a nice package Yeah you can be I mean. I don't think it's going to be you probably going to be looking at like $20.00 to $40.00 pounds someone like that bought you know the work without you know buy is out there for our national we're all the bits and pieces our will is to see what you know so exactly what we can you know sort of put together and make a difference the fact that we've recently lost George Michael Yeah yeah it is the will get people you know as soon as he passed away there was a big game for actually people bring in items through. But yeah I mean we've just recently sold a poster and that was from just before he really. Least the Ziggy Stardust album it was a concert he did in Wales in about $972.00 about May time that made just under $1300.00 pounds how was it in a university so it was you know there's not many out there it's not the sort of one that you probably reproduce and yes that's old really well so to collect is going to get mad because I was think you feel if you loose when you lose someone like that that you want to hold on to what you've got but does it appear that people who maybe weren't really that bothered about this stuff use it as an opportunity to get rid of it you will get a complete broad spectrum you'll get the people who absolutely love it and just want to keep hold of it because they you know that you know really look after it you get all this really think you know sell it well that we know while the market's high and because of that you know you get an awful coming through the game with Bowie tends to be early stuff before that said soon as he came out they started releasing a lot of his earlier albums so many people knew about the early stuff so you need to have the original early rather than the later copies of it reminds you and some of the original early it could be were Yeah yeah it's a little albums definitely get into it if you've got anything any of that you know I've got into he says he's noticed in his local supermarket that they're selling records be a Beatles collection is becoming more popular again he's won 3 yes certainly I mean they're the very fact that they're selling vinyl now into print you know supermarkets is assured you thought that that wave Yeah I mean it's selling them all over the place now you know records because they know there is a demand for it and people will know how many you know not everybody wants to have you know the rare person or the rare 1st yeah or something people just like to have the actual vinyl records so you know to have the original Beatles is nice but if you can have a copy of it and play on and I system you know people still like that so that you know and what about systems and they go in for more money than the people get more excited you know that high end I mean there's an awful lot certainly in the seventy's and eighty's that were the ranges. Yeah I mean you know the Stones really got graphic equal. To actually know what they have and I know. My brother always said Make a smile if he has a good sound. You will get your high end. You know maybe it. Will fail and you get the right to me it's all about the accessories we sold a record player the record player is actually worth about 10 pounds but the actual loan. Was so much in demand and it made about 1500 and it was just for the after so take that oxy sort of scratch built on and you can build your own components but you know some people you know very interesting is going on 4 to 7000 people 6 to one to talk to Steven Flintoff our expert was talking about vinyl today Monson's got into which one of you got Martin I have got a picture you just mentioned called Battleground some Superman on my album a little box topper. Probably. Yes. A picture disc up there are real Speedwagon album I'll call it what it's called so what we've got for the female and. Keep On Loving You is right she writes and it's a it's a picture disc it's a picture disc of the out there album artwork. Playing plastics transparent so you didn't get it with any you know sort of cardboard out way of correcting a lot about it just in the oh I was it was the title of the the record I can't remember album name. They were the 2 single tracks that charted in this country right right Ok yeah obviously you know come back again hugely popular as soon as you get you know bands which really. Commanded you know sort of a high. You know. Also one barrel from based on the one I'm looking for you will get you will get an awful of interest certain ones can sell me certainly you know and we've had them very rarely get as individuals but you can get some rare speed right in the door that I know that a sold between 80 and 120 pounds certain picture discs on there I mean you know in all different for much you can have some you know 15200 pounds or something but it's certainly in research there are some obvious speed organs that are 8120 that particular one if I could get that name of the record I'll never could do a bit of research and just let you know not knowing what the actual. Title is it's a bit difficult the moment but there's definitely a command for it and some of them can you know sell 52808120 something like that yeah yes if you could have something that sounds like you know good record and you know your collection actually of good worth would you sell them Kevin if they're worth anything. What I said yeah. Quite possibly no I want to see him coming and you see I'm looking at anyway. I don't know I mean everybody got a project. I don't know it's just something. So I mean some problems as well. And someone else appreciated them as well Martin Well they said that because I mean where to find in this well you know action there's an emotional attachment with an awful lot of people and yeah some of them you know when the 100 of the collection this is in there are. Pulls on the Hearts will not be that much. And I think Martin is looking to get in a mixed area here. While the getting touch Kevin. You are going to like having because again names make so Kevin what have you got honey. Crikey acetate. I mean. Gentlemen my. Press. Produces you that's right yeah just to check on the quality. Exactly right yeah yeah. That's right you'd have a very limited amount mate and then you could start you know making your actual copies from these these are states that the 1st cell even is an actual record on its own you know if you know and you don't have the you know you didn't have the city. The actual record is the one is it. Will be the one that your sleeves got all the band members on like it on the pillow so the pillow sleeve Yeah that in good condition you know great condition we're probably going to get 10200 pounds for you know and that's just for the actual record so to have a nice city with a. Half a dozen out there you know you need to be sure but I mean you could be looking well into the thousands for that particularly people. Oh yeah because they said it's you know people wanting the rarities and you get you know in the middle of the year or something it's 968 this particular album I think something. I think. Yeah but it's a real rarity How did you can you get old. I think it was. Like. Yeah yeah. Yeah. Right. Quite quickly Yeah. That's right. Yeah yeah it's a real rarity what you've got there and there are there are lots of big collectors who would definitely be in for that particular piece so you've got a real real gem there on them a pillar of. Kevin thank you very much. Sell that Kevin embarrassingly sounds like he's on to a bit with you there I've got Stephen Flintoff with me he's our expert we talk about vinyl if you've got anything you'd like to tell us about get in touch we'll have a few more calls after this. Join me said early breakfast from 5 will set you up perfectly for the day ahead we've got some great music and memories on the mistreatment of the chilled out lying in bed song. Brain 2 with a mind boggling question impossible Plus we'll have our 1st look at the papers and talk about the stories that. You're waking up to. Steve every weekday morning from 5. 15 years of broadcasting in South Yorkshire and Snow's down there. This is b.b.c. Radio show you. See the fruits of. What was there some that are just I'm sure just had a rough anyway I want to add on that ship odorless it's a poor what. What's so good about vinyl Stephen Flintoff with me to help me along with that because obviously I no no say he's our Savior if you've got a question out of one for to use 96 so it's not like a dog in it certainly there's only so many roads in Sheffield Good afternoon what you go after in all good afternoon and I've got a triple record it's what's got original and more. I think it's from so much of that but it has it's all original recorded Yeah yeah. Because of the film obviously commanded a huge amount of interest. We have them in quite regular through auction did we really see it so the ones that you afterwards when you look at the label it needs to be. Certain it was so basically the top of it should be purple in the bottom should be orange which is indicative of like the 1st pressing. So many did Gordon different artists which linked in with the film release I think didn't get Woodstock yeah yeah in good condition in no action will probably get if it's the 1st press in but 32504268 could be worth a bit more if it's in mint condition but it's a good copy will get that we get quite regular and more often than not it's mixed in with a few were of the like minded you know genres really yeah you know the progressive you know folk next is a real mix of all the bands that were playing there but you know it's a good little tester of that era you know to go down to people would you part with it right well no I bought it anyway. I want to I want to put it what I want about. Right yeah yeah well it's an event yes it's gone up if you single condition it's yeah it was an investigator by much the world. Is Made a bit of money or yeah definitely a rug. Roddy Schaeffer we're not going to. Record. Yeah so very wise record they want to be. Yeah. Oh yeah it's going to have wonderful results Iraq thank you very much for joining us on b.b.c. Radio chef I'm going to sneak this in if you've got time keyless got into it she said and then bought her an orange vinyl Elvis LP when she was little dated 1971 is it worth anything orange final exactly that sometimes was through me that well I mean there's an awful lot of Elvis that comes through in my and large in larger collection I mean its 1st 2 albums are really sought after and the last few that we've sold have made about sort of 15250 for his 1st couple and this one in the early seventy's with it's been orange vinyl and know that the label was r.c.a. And the label was orange so I mean you could be absolutely perfectly right and be it an orange or in vinyl if it is it's more unusual it's not one that I certainly recognize at all so again might have to do a bit of research on there but if it's the orange label rather than orange vinyl it's you know it's a time where we was you know the collecting sort of sticks are going to be downhill so that we're finding you know. If it's in our environment it could be where they are it's not something that I've come across we'll see if we can get more information from and if you can do a bit of research in the meantime the next time we're on the search at about that Steve you've a roaring success thank you for joining us and so on that line of.
